The Twenties Are Coming!

Hi everyone! Me again :)

I hope everyone's doing really well!

I've been kind of busy with work lately so that has kept me away from my blog for a while and I'm sorry about that; and I know that happens really often too but remember that I always come back! I just need to organize my schedule in order to be able to post more frequently!

As you can probably tell from the title, this post is about turning twenty. You might've seen my last post December Ends in which I show a couple pictures from my twentieth birthday last month. Well, a couple days ago, my good friend Demi(from the picture above) from LA also turned twenty; herself, Marguerite(another good friend from LA), and I decided to have a nice dinner at the popular sushi place in Hollywood, Katsuya, to celebrate Demi's birthday. While zipping my strawberry martini after having a bite of the delicious California Roll topped with lobster,

I realized that this is it; we're not teenagers anymore. Turning twenty means growing like you haven't had to before and start taking the decisions that will take you to your future life. It's the time to really find yourself and your interests. But it's also the time to learn from the mistakes you make and enjoy youth.

So here's to turning twenty and enjoying life!

He estado un poco ocupada con mi trabajo y eso me ha mantenido alejada de mi blog y lo siento mucho; y yo se que eso pasa muy frecuentemente pero recuerden que siempre regreso! Solo necesito organizarme para poder hacer posts mas seguido!

Como talvez ya se hayan dado cuenta por el titulo, este post es sobre cumplir veinte. Talvez hayan visto mi ultimo post December Ends en donde puse algunas fotos de mi cumpleaños numero veinte el mes pasado. Bueno, hace un par de días, my buena amiga Demi(de la foto de arriba) de Los Angeles también cumplio veinte; ella, Marguerite(otra buena amiga de LA), y yo decidimos ir a cenar a el popular restaurante de sushi en Hollywood, Katsuya, para celebrar el cumpleaños de Demi. Mientras tomaba mi martini de fresa después de comer un poco de el California Roll que venia acompañado de langosta, me di cuenta de la realidad; ya no somos unas adolescentes. Cumplir veinte significa crecer de un manera en la que nunca has tenido que crecer y empezar a tomar las decisiones que te llevaran a tu vida futura. Es el tiempo de encontrarte a ti mismo y a tus intereses. Pero también es el tiempo de aprender de los errores que cometemos y disfrutar nuestra juventud.

Así que salud a cumplir veinte y disfrutar de la vida!

Don't you just love waiting for stuff in the mail?

I don't.

What I love, is when something finally arrives at your door!

I ordered a couple of items from a UK online clothing store almost two weeks ago and last night they finally got to my door step! I was so excited to finally get to wear them and of course, blog bout it!

The online clothing store is called

Pretty Sunday and it has pretty unique pieces such as this Mary-Kate Olsen tee that captured my attention immediately when I saw it; Specially because she's always been such a big inspiration and not just to me but to the fashion world in general.

Right now, I'm really liking how tees look just by pairing them up with a good pair of jean cut-off shorts and leather belts, which is exactly how I decided to wear it and I'm also wearing a chiffon button up shirt over.

I had a lot of fun this past week at work because as you may know, it was "Halloween Week" and we all got to dress up each day with a different theme. As much fun as it was though, I'm kind of glad it's over because it was the busiest time I've ever experienced at work so far...

Hello lovelies!

So, the cold weather is starting to creep back into my wardrobe lately...

In this pictures, I'm wearing the "Stretch Velvet Crop Tee" from American Apparel's winter collection. I paired it up with a black "Chiffon Full Length Skirt" and a black "Interlock Mini Skirt" under it.

As always, I'd like to share with you what's been going on in my life...

A couple of posts ago I told you about my plans on going to FIDM here in LA...well, I'm starting on the Winter semester, which is on January (So excited!) .

For the mean time, I am doing an internship at a casting agency and learning a lot!

New Beginnings

Hello my dearest followers!

First off, I want to apologize for my long absences...I've been kinda busy lately and I'll tell you all about what has been going on in a second but first allow me to describe my outfit :)

American Apparel.

Yup, that's pretty much it! That was easy wasn't it?

So...I'm sure I told you in previous posts about my new life in Los Angeles(used to live in San Diego) well, I just started working at American Apparel(that kind of explains my outfit).

I love it! The people are amazing and it has such a unique environment!

Also, since I graduated a year ago from High School, I think it's time for me to get back on school...so I applied to FIDM(Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise) in LA and I got accepted!!! I'm majoring on Merchandise Marketing and classes begin on early October. So I guess my break after High School is definitely over! I'm actually glad to say that :)

It also feels nice to come back to my blog. I promise I won't leave for so long again any time soon!

Hi guys!

So, I think my style is turning over to the bohemian side...I'm liking it a lot! And I know I've done a fair number of leopard outfit posts but I just had to have this dress...and post about it hehe. I've been navigating pages looking for bohemian inspiration...this outfit for example,

I decided it would look pretty cool with my aqua oxfords since the color is a contrast of the dress. I'm also wearing brown/orange feathers in my hair(which I'm obsessed with!).

This was a really fun girl's night out. I wore a gray sweater-dress which I paired with a really cool studded denim vest from Zara, a waterfall/chain necklace and peach Marc Jacobs earrings;
Jessica(from the picture above) wore a black dress with sequins and a black military jacket; Brenda wore a gold blazer uniquely paired with an aqua blouse.

Back In The Day

Hello lovelies! I've missed you!

There has been some changes going on in my life lately, that's why I haven't been able to post anything since...a long while ago. I recently moved to LA and I've been kind of busy, so I haven't really been able to do any outfit photoshoots lately...But I've recently gone out with my friends and we have taken lots of photos. That been said, I will be posting some of those photos(in the next 4 posts or so) to keep you up to date with what my outfits have been lately; Plus, you'll get to meet the faces of my lovely friends and see a little of their styles too! I hope you like them!

In this pictures, I'm wearing an "Old School Chic" shirt by H&M; I paired it with a "glasses necklace",(that by complete coincidence fitted the shirt) and a gray blazer.

Baby, it's been cold outside!!

I've been having fun with the cold season, this is my favorite weather for obvious reasons...the clothes! I love having fun with tights and hats...and other winter accessories.

I got this leopard fur coat a while ago, but it was too plain...so I decided to add tule bows to it.

Into The Wild

I've been wanting to wear this leopard full body suit, I just hadn't have the chance to, but today is my BIRTHDAY!! I'm 19 now,
officially my last year as a "teenager". It's kind of sad, if I could have it my way, I would stay as a teenager forever or stop aging at 21...At least having birthdays gives us an excuse to party and get together with friends!

After that, we decided to make a quick trip to visit Grand Central Station.

One of my very favorite spots in the upper East side of New York City, are the steps of The Met. You may know them from Gossip Girl, where Blaire Waldorf and Jenny Humphrey used to spend their lunch time. It is definitely a nice place to sit and relax for a while. But remember, no one may sit higher than the Queen B at the steps!

Finally, the day I waited for so long...

TeenVogue Fashion University in action was amazing! We had awesome guests and I couldn't have asked more from my class schedule. I learned so much hearing all of the personal stories from the successful designers and editors themselves. I enjoyed listening to Amy Astley, Anna Wintour, Vera Wang, Zac Posen, Rachel Roy, Richard Chai, and models Stacey Mckenzie and Ali Michael. Such a unique experience! And every single one of them allowed a question and answer section at the end of their speech (yes, that includes Anna Wintour).

Ahhh. The first day in NYC after a year of visiting for the first time.

I've been waiting for this for so long! This day was fully dedicated to the Juicy Couture Event in Fifth Ave.

Nothing better than a private event held by TeenVogue to welcome the class of 2010. They had cute snacks and drinks carried by handsome male models, 25% discount for TeenVogue Fashion University students, and the sound of evolving band The Downtown Fiction live.
