Coachella'13

2013-04-24T12:03:00.002-07:00

Once again, I got the chance to go to one of the coolest music festivals, Coachella. This year, I was lucky to get to go with my boyfriend and two amazing cousins who I adore! We had so much fun dressing up every day and enjoying the sun with good music and refreshing drinks. My favorite performances were by Vampire Weekend, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The XX, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I also got to see Purity Ring, Grimes, Benny Bennassi, Phoenix, and Tegan & Sarah. We had such an amazing time that Post Coachella Depression never gets old.

Until next year Coachella...

Sleep No More

2012-12-18T01:01:00.000-08:00

As the cold season began once again, I had the opportunity to visit my favorite city: New York. It had been not less than two years since I last had the pleasure of setting foot in the city that never sleeps. This year, I had the opportunity of experiencing things I had never experienced before. My first night there was full of unforgettable performances such as the popular broadway show Wicked and the unique, one and only Sleep No More, which is based on Shakespeares's Macbeth. On my second day, I got to visit two of my favorite spots in New York, which are Central Park and the steps of The Met. I also got to eat delicious New York pizza and shop/walk around Soho. My last day consisted of sight seeing. I had being to New York twice before but I hadn't had the chance to experience the city from the Empire State; apart from the freezing cold on the 72nd floor, it was breathtaking. I also tried the famous Shake Shak(burgers) on Madison Park and yes, the one hour long line to order was worth it. To end the night, Times Square never gets old; the lights, the broadway shows, and the people full of hopes and dreams surrounding you make you feel like anything is possible. I will never get tired of my New York.

Strange Magic

2012-07-22T19:27:00.001-07:00

With Tavi Gevinson

With my friend Demi

Last night my friend Demi and I got to go to "Strange Magic", which was Tavi's(from Style Rookie) magazine(Rookiemag) opening party. The magical art show took place at Space 15 Twenty in West Hollywood, where girls showed up in all kinds of unique outfits that could inspire even the most uncaring person. The room was decorated with hippie art pieces that represented girl power and were made by Tavi Gevinson and her new magazine partners, Petra Collins and Hazel Cills, who enjoyed seeing their lovely fans getting inspired by their work. Girls also enjoyed the event by shopping some of Tavi's unique creations such as flowered sunglasses, bedazzled candles, and vintage clothing pieces. Every art piece was full of detail, color, and creativity that really made it a magical event. And if that wasn't enough magic to lighten your day, you could end your night by going crazy inside the event's photobooth!

Tonight, We Are Young.

As Coachella weekend came to an end, we milked every last minute of freedom we had left.

All I can say is that everyone should live the Coachella experience at least once in their life.

See you next year Coachella!!!

Coachella Weekend pt.2

2012-05-17T01:34:00.000-07:00

The second day at the music festival was the best; maybe because we knew what to expect by then and we knew how to be more proactive with our schedule. My favorite performances were by tUnE-yArDs, who made me dance and appreciate the beauty of the place where I was standing; Bon Iver, as we layed teary-eyed in the grass under the stars by the end of his magnificent performance; and Radiohead, who played a one-hour amazing show plus no less than 4 encores!

The last day was bittersweet. It was sweet as we enjoyed our last day of freedom but it was bitter knowing that we were not coming back the next day. We got to dance to Justice as we glowed in the dark, and before we listened to the amazing Florence & The Machine, we found time to ride the famous Coachella Ferris Wheel; it was the perfect way to appreciate all the gigantic art pieces and it was such an incredible view!

We finished the night with performances by Snoop Dog, Dr.Dre, and unexpected appearances by Eminem, 50 Cent, and Whiz Khalifa. It was a pretty amazing experience that will never be forgotten.

Coachella Weekend pt.1

2012-05-17T01:31:00.000-07:00

Coachella 2012 was almost over a month ago and I'm finally posting the pictures of what I like to call, "one of the best experiences of my life". In fact, I'm not quite over my "post-Coachella depression" just yet; if you've never been, the Coachella experience is to be able to sit in the grass under the sun with your friends while you listen to the trendiest bands and artists live all day long without having any worries or cares in the world. If I could sum it all up in just one word, it would be: freedom. My friends and I attended the second weekend of the spring music festival, which started on April 20th and ended on April 22nd. A couple of my first day highlights are seeing Arctic Monkeys playing on the main stage as the sun was setting, then relaxing to Mazzy Star under the stars, and ending the night by dancing my butt off to Afrojack. The best feeling at the end of the first night, was knowing that I was coming back the next day...and the next.

The Twenties Are Coming!

2012-01-25T14:47:00.000-08:00

Hi everyone! Me again :)

I hope everyone's doing really well!

I've been kind of busy with work lately so that has kept me away from my blog for a while and I'm sorry about that; and I know that happens really often too but remember that I always come back! I just need to organize my schedule in order to be able to post more frequently!

As you can probably tell from the title, this post is about turning twenty. You might've seen my last post December Ends in which I show a couple pictures from my twentieth birthday last month. Well, a couple days ago, my good friend Demi(from the picture above) from LA also turned twenty; herself, Marguerite(another good friend from LA), and I decided to have a nice dinner at the popular sushi place in Hollywood, Katsuya, to celebrate Demi's birthday. While zipping my strawberry martini after having a bite of the delicious California Roll topped with lobster,

I realized that this is it; we're not teenagers anymore. Turning twenty means growing like you haven't had to before and start taking the decisions that will take you to your future life. It's the time to really find yourself and your interests. But it's also the time to learn from the mistakes you make and enjoy youth.

So here's to turning twenty and enjoying life!

Hola a todos! Yo otravez :)

Don't you just love waiting for stuff in the mail?

I don't.

What I love, is when something finally arrives at your door!

I ordered a couple of items from a UK online clothing store almost two weeks ago and last night they finally got to my door step! I was so excited to finally get to wear them and of course, blog bout it!

The online clothing store is called

Pretty Sunday and it has pretty unique pieces such as this Mary-Kate Olsen tee that captured my attention immediately when I saw it; Specially because she's always been such a big inspiration and not just to me but to the fashion world in general.

Right now, I'm really liking how tees look just by pairing them up with a good pair of jean cut-off shorts and leather belts, which is exactly how I decided to wear it and I'm also wearing a chiffon button up shirt over.

I hope you're all doing great and hopefully you got your weekly dose of inspiration :)

Hello lovelies!

So, the cold weather is starting to creep back into my wardrobe lately...

In this pictures, I'm wearing the "Stretch Velvet Crop Tee" from American Apparel's winter collection. I paired it up with a black "Chiffon Full Length Skirt" and a black "Interlock Mini Skirt" under it.

Shoes: Sam Edelman boots.

As always, I'd like to share with you what's been going on in my life...

A couple of posts ago I told you about my plans on going to FIDM here in LA...well, I'm starting on the Winter semester, which is on January (So excited!) .

For the mean time, I am doing an internship at a casting agency and learning a lot!

I also got a new roommate, who's also my new blog photographer! Check out her work in this post!

I hope all is well with all of you!

New Beginnings

2011-09-03T13:36:00.001-07:00

Hello my dearest followers!

First off, I want to apologize for my long absences...I've been kinda busy lately and I'll tell you all about what has been going on in a second but first allow me to describe my outfit :)

American Apparel.

Yup, that's pretty much it! That was easy wasn't it?

So...I'm sure I told you in previous posts about my new life in Los Angeles(used to live in San Diego) well, I just started working at American Apparel(that kind of explains my outfit).

I love it! The people are amazing and it has such a unique environment!

Also, since I graduated a year ago from High School, I think it's time for me to get back on school...so I applied to FIDM(Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise) in LA and I got accepted!!! I'm majoring on Merchandise Marketing and classes begin on early October. So I guess my break after High School is definitely over! I'm actually glad to say that :)

It also feels nice to come back to my blog. I promise I won't leave for so long again any time soon!

The Pretty & The Restless

2011-04-11T00:06:00.000-07:00

This was a really fun girl's night out. I wore a gray sweater-dress which I paired with a really cool studded denim vest from Zara, a waterfall/chain necklace and peach Marc Jacobs earrings;
Jessica(from the picture above) wore a black dress with sequins and a black military jacket; Brenda wore a gold blazer uniquely paired with an aqua blouse.

Back In The Day

2011-04-07T12:01:00.000-07:00

Hello lovelies! I've missed you!

There has been some changes going on in my life lately, that's why I haven't been able to post anything since...a long while ago. I recently moved to LA and I've been kind of busy, so I haven't really been able to do any outfit photoshoots lately...But I've recently gone out with my friends and we have taken lots of photos. That been said, I will be posting some of those photos(in the next 4 posts or so) to keep you up to date with what my outfits have been lately; Plus, you'll get to meet the faces of my lovely friends and see a little of their styles too! I hope you like them!

In this pictures, I'm wearing an "Old School Chic" shirt by H&M; I paired it with a "glasses necklace",(that by complete coincidence fitted the shirt) and a gray blazer.

The Spirit Of The Season

Eye Of The Tiger

2010-12-21T00:13:00.000-08:00

Baby, it's been cold outside!!

I've been having fun with the cold season, this is my favorite weather for obvious reasons...the clothes! I love having fun with tights and hats...and other winter accessories.

I got this leopard fur coat a while ago, but it was too plain...so I decided to add tule bows to it.

Have a look!
Until next time,

Jen

Into The Wild

2010-12-07T17:30:00.000-08:00

I've been wanting to wear this leopard full body suit, I just hadn't have the chance to, but today is my BIRTHDAY!! I'm 19 now,
officially my last year as a "teenager". It's kind of sad, if I could have it my way, I would stay as a teenager forever or stop aging at 21...At least having birthdays gives us an excuse to party and get together with friends!

Anyway, in other news, I have been accepted to TeenVogue's Fashion Click!! The new website features many fashion bloggers; to check them out, just click on my new Fashion Click badge to the right.

Happy Holidays!

Graduation Day

2010-11-24T17:38:00.001-08:00

A little something extra from the same day...

Finally! I got my TeenVogue Fashion University graduation photo with my diploma!

You can't even imagine how much I miss those days. I just feel like a part of me stayed in New York...maybe I should make a habit of visiting the city at least once a year... That sounds just right to me!

Upper East Sider

This is my very favorite part of New York City, the Upper East Side. Of course, this is where I spent my last hour before coming home to California. This season makes such a beautiful scene because the leaves are falling and all the colors are just beautiful!

The Steps

2010-10-29T10:28:00.000-07:00

With Style Dude[http://styledude.blogspot.com]

After that, we decided to make a quick trip to visit Grand Central Station.

One of my very favorite spots in the upper East side of New York City, are the steps of The Met. You may know them from Gossip Girl, where Blaire Waldorf and Jenny Humphrey used to spend their lunch time. It is definitely a nice place to sit and relax for a while. But remember, no one may sit higher than the Queen B at the steps!
