Did you know that "cook" is a four-letter word?

Yep. It's definitely one of those four-letter words.

What happened to me?

I used to love to cook and to bake.

Baking went the way of the dodos when I decided to lose weight. I can't bake and not eat the goodies. That's like living and having to breathe.

Cooking should be different. 1.... Vanilla French Chew - I used to eat these while in summer camp as a kid. I'd not seen them in years and then Cracker Barrel started carryng them so I was so very happy. What is so bad about getting older?

It means we're still here, right? What is the alternative? (I shudder to think of it.)

One of my writing pals, Kelly Kirch, mentions that she saw a reality TV show where women in their 40s and 50s were competing to become models. How cool is that?

I see many women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s that still look awesome. First, why doesn't Starburst make bags of Starburst candies in one flavor only? I love the strawberry Starburst and I can tolerate the orange and red, but I HATE the lemon Starbursts. I would buy so much more Starbursts if only I could get all strawberry. Do you?

Sure, to be a "romance" they have to have a "happily ever after". There has to be at least two characters to have a romance. There has to be a conflict.

After I saw "Hancock" last night, something in the movie got me to thinking. I don't think I'm spoiling anything by mentioning this.

Everybody knows from the movie trailers that Hancock is a superhero.

The hubby took me to see "Hancock" and I was not at all impressed. In fact, I was confused and barring a couple LOL moments, I was bored. I couldn't wait for the movie to end. Usually I love Will Smith, but he didn't save the movie sorry to say.

I've not read Pink Truth in quite awhile but checked in today. <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/blogspot/oZiN/~4/326313396" height="1" width="1"/>

Thursday Thirteen Edition 10: 13 things I like to do on the 4th of July

We're watching War Games, one of my favorite movies.

It was made in 1983 and even though it's still fun, it's now a history lesson. All the technology in this flick looks so ancient.

I mean, the kid (Matthew Broderick) uses a DOS system to hack into a military computer. He uses floppy disks, the big ones. The printer paper has holes in the side.

It's like Deja vu.
