Features

Passbook - Passbook is Apple's new e-tickets app, enabling you to carry electronic tickets for anything from sports events to plane travel, or to have a digital loyalty card.

Improved phone app - The revised phone app offers smart reminders, so for example you can reject a call with a message saying you're busy, on your way, lost in a forest... You can also be reminded to call someone back when you leave your current location. The new Do Not Disturb mode is particularly nifty: when new messages arrive, they do so silently and without the screen lighting up. If you wish, you can also tell your iPhone not to silence calls from a list of favourite callers, or to automatically silent repeat calls from the same person.

Facetime over 3G - need I say more??

Siri to iPad

Siri is also going mobile - the new Eyes Free feature will put a Siri button on the steering wheel of Jaguars, Land Robers, BMWs, Mercs, Toyotas, Chryslers, Hondas, Audis and GM cars. The manufacturers have promised to support the feature in the next 12 months.

Apple Maps App - It's pretty, will have traffic information, doubles as a sat-nav system with turn-by-turn navigation, can be controlled via Siri and will probably be rubbish outside major metropolitan areas in the UK. Still, the new Flyover 3D views of major cities are lovely.

One of a Kind Show

So today I went to the One of a Lind Show. It was the last day so I was expecting some close-out deals. Any success? None! But I did end up finding some really cool eats to take home (mainly, oversized dried cranberries, cream honey, masalas for cooking, mango chutney and cherry flavored green tea!).

A couple of "colleagues" from work (LOL - just an inside joke) and I went to a cute little cafe/restaurant on Fraser street (in Toronto) today. My verdict? Appetizers were great, entree was OK nothing special, and the desserts were awesome!

Pros:
-Decor: With menus written on notebook paper, bills given in report card format, drinks in beakers and a red shiny apple on each table, I find that the atmosphere was cute and quirky. I love themed-things in general, and this restaurant tied everything really well altogether!
-Most amazing grilled cheese sandwich ever (found on appetizers menu)!
-Despite being tucked away within Toronto's Liberty Village, the restaurant was quite "live"
-I just had a really enjoyable time here (that could also be because I had great company!)

Cons:
-The entree was nothing over-the-top. My salmon was really thick and somewhat lack-luster (I know that some people like it like that, but I expect a little more) and my friend's burger was a bit dry. Nonetheless, the food did seem healthier than other places I have been to!
-the restaurant was quite busy and it would have been nice to have more waiters/waitresses on staff

Overall, I rate this place a 4/5! Definitely a good experience to have!

Restaurant Review: Sage Cafe in Toronto

For lunch today, a couple of co-workers and I went to a cute little cafe where they serve predominantly vegetarian meals.

When we entered Sage Cafe, we were greeted by the friendly staff and placed our orders. The offerings are healthy, fresh and quite delish! I ordered the Greek Salad with a Squash and Cauliflower Purée Soup!

Other items on their menu include pizza, wraps, quiche, many salads, an array of soups and other warm meals.
I will definitely visit again!

Peach-Lemonade-Sprite

Good morning all!

I have recently become obsessed with making my own homemade juices. On average, you can save about 100 calories per cup and many many grams of sugar. Try to incorporate vegetables into your juices to boost the nutritional content up a notch!

For now, I thought I would share this wonderful & easy smoothie recipe. I LOOOOOVE my smoothies! Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 medium sized, ripe peaches, peeled, halved and pitted
1/2 cup lemonade
1/2 cup sprite

Puree the peaches and lemonade in a blender until smooth. Stir in sprite & serve immediately.

Gujarati food .... Mmmmmm

Hi everyone,

For my inaugural post, I wanted to tell you why I started this blog! Recently, while looking for a blog to follow, I could not quite find that ONE blog which would feed me everything I need. As a working girl, a daughter, a sister, a volunteer, and wife, I have a diversity of interests. I figured that there are a lot of you out there like me, so why not start a blog?

This is the spot for the woman who travels, cooks, loves fashion, is decorating her home, is married (or getting married), is spiritual, is a philanthropist, a professional, AND THE LIST CAN GO ON....

I would like to extend a WARM welcome out to all of you and hope that you will follow me through my life and times...
