Google acquired the company and its then 17,000-strong patent portfolio, along with 7,500 filed patents, in August of 2011 for roughly $12.5 billion.
At the time, Google said Motorola was a "natural fit" for the two companies and that it would "supercharge the entire Android ecosystem". The deal is said to include 10,000 of Motorola Mobility's patents, although it is likely that Google will retain licenses for those patents.

Lenovo Group Ltd is likely to buy Google Inc’s Motorola Mobility business, giving the Chinese company a bigger say in the global tablet and smartphone market.
The acquisition, worth at least $2 billion, will include more than 10,000 mobile communications patents currently held by the United States company, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The deal is expected to be announced on Thursday morning in Beijing.

Google's Motorola Mobility subsidiary has been a money loser for the company in recent quarters, costing the firm $248 million in the most recent quarter. Earlier this month, Google purchased the Tony Fadell-founded Nest for $3.2 billion in cash.
Update: Google has confirmed the acquisition in a blog post, saying "Motorola will be better served by Lenovo". The deal will need to be approved by both the U.S. and Chinese governments.

This move will enable Google to devote our energy to driving innovation across the Android ecosystem, for the benefit of smartphone users everywhere. As a side note, this does not signal a larger shift for our other hardware efforts. The dynamics and maturity of the wearable and home markets, for example, are very different from that of the mobile industry. We’re excited by the opportunities to build amazing new products for users within these emerging ecosystems.

View the original article here
http://hsdcr3w.blogspot.com/2014/02/google-selling-motorola-mobility-to.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Anonymous)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917042311104708077.post-1699869949214871984Sat, 15 Feb 2014 21:28:00 +00002014-02-15T13:28:00.748-08:00BattlefieldkeygenOrigin
Download Here : http://e-gamespot.com/battlefield-4-o...

Hellou guys, is me again, and on this video i'll show you how to download and use the battlefield 4 key generator, this one is very easy to use, the platform is very friendly !

You can generate original keys even for ps3, xbox 360, xbox one, origin, tested by on all those platform right now, today .

If you wondering how to download the battlefield 4 keygen crack you shouldn't worry about it, because you just need the battlefield 4 keygen origin, and i'm afraid you can't download the battlefield 4 keygen no survey, you can download the battlefield 4 keygen free, but not without feeling a fast survey .

You can get up to 10 battlefiels 4 code, because this battlefield 4 code generator is limited to 4 codes a day from same computer hwuid, if you're able to use multiple computers then you can get even 8 or 16 codes a day with 3 computers if you need really bad the codes .

View the original article here
http://hsdcr3w.blogspot.com/2014/02/battlefield-4-keygen-origin.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Anonymous)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917042311104708077.post-3578017049863514052Sat, 15 Feb 2014 16:50:00 +00002014-02-15T08:50:00.712-08:00AndroidIosClansClashDownloadFebruary
Clash Of Clans Gems Hack Android/Ios Download February 2014
Download: http://clash-of-clans-tools.blogspot.com/

Clash of Clans Gems Hack it is a tool created for the famous mobile multiplayer game that traveled the whole world, its about the Clash of Clans game. The gems are probably the most important thing in the game, reason for which our team did their best to create a special software that gives you the experience to have unlimited gemsRecently our little group decided to advance further in hacking world and we are proud to say that we moved in the good direction with this Clash of Clans Gem Hack.

View the original article here
http://hsdcr3w.blogspot.com/2014/02/clash-of-clans-gems-hack-androidios.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Anonymous)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917042311104708077.post-1938811517602172991Sat, 15 Feb 2014 12:18:00 +00002014-02-15T04:18:00.165-08:00FactionsMinecraftPremiumServerSurvival
Hola! aqui os traigo otro servidor de minecraft Survival pvp (factions) no premium sin lag!

IP Del Server: 5.39.85.25:25768

? Box last year raised $100 million in venture funding and is valued at approximately $2 billion. An IPO could bring an additional $500 million to the company during a time when competition between rival Dropbox is intensifying.

Box is reportedly taking advantage of a provision in the JOBS Act, which allows companies with an annual revenue of less than $1 billion to file its IPO prospectus confidentially with the Securities and Exchange Commission. A Box spokesperson declined to comment on the possibility of an IPO.
“We don’t have anything to share at this time. We’re focused on continuing to build our business and expand our customer relationships globally,” a Box spokesman told Quartz in an emailed statement.

Box recently overhauled its iOS app [App Store] and boosted the capacity of its free storage plan for a limited time. Users who download the app between January 15 and February 15, 2014 will receive free 50 GB of online storage for the life of their accounts. It makes you realize just how hard sync must be.

For one thing, Box does not support packaged files (eg. Pages, Numbers, Aperture, iPhoto, etc.), which is pretty basic file type to the Mac and has been around for years (conversely, Dropbox supports such formats).

Box also does not sync very well. I keep getting Sync errors, which I've never had before with Dropbox (in over 2 years!). And it wasn't because of the files, as they were the same files I synced (successfully) with Dropbox. (I just moved the files over)

Their iOS app also doesn't support the iWork files, (eg. Pages, Numbers, Keynote) even though such functionality is built into the iPad/iPhone, etc.

I would avoid Box if at all possible, especially if you are a Mac user. Stick with Dropbox which has been rock solid reliable. In the end, you get what you pay for, which is the why we all bought a Mac in the first place!Rating: 1 Positivesdarkslide29Posted: 2 days ago at 07:22 amI can only imagine the number of users they have signed up, thanks to their constant free 50gb promo. Innovation is great, but it ain't everything. It's not the whole equation. Execution is what really matters. Apple is the best at execution.
During the interview, Isaacson also commented on the iPhone 5c and Apple's ability to make lower cost products, noting that he believes Apple’s unwavering focus on quality will not allow it to produce subpar products to compete in the low end device market.
I don't think Apple will ever be great at doing low end. It really makes insanely great products to use the phrase Steve used 30 years ago, when he launched the Mac. What I think is going to have to happen is that they're going to have to figure out a whole new set of disruptive products.
You've heard Tim Cook hint about that; whether it's television or a wearable watch, I don't think Apple's going to do well trying to be in the commodity low end race with Samsung and others.

Apple made one of its first attempts into the mid-range market with the 2013 debut of the iPhone 5c, which it sold for $100 less than its flagship iPhone 5s. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently revealed that the launch of the iPhone 5c resulted in some inventory problems for the company, as it had underestimated people's desire for the iPhone 5s.
The company expected a more balanced demand for both phones, which led to iPhone 5s inventory shortages. Due to the lack of demand for the iPhone 5c, it remains unclear if Apple will continue on with both a higher-end and a mid-tier phone for future releases. A recent report from The Wall Street Journal suggested that while Apple will release two phones in the future, it will abandon plastic casings.

As Isaacson suggested, Apple is rumored to be working on several products that have the potential to be "disruptive." Clumsy Ninja, which was released in November of 2013 after a long development period, was highlighted by Apple during the iPhone 5 media event in September of 2012.

Following its initial debut, the app and the company behind it received a lot of attention for the natural movement styles of the ragdoll ninja character.

Founded by Torsten Reil, a former evolutionary biologist, NaturalMotion specializes in high quality games that use realistic animations, which is a bit of a departure from Zynga's typical game style.

Along with Clumsy Ninja, NaturalMotion has also released several other iOS apps, including Jenga, Icebreaker Hockey, and CSR Racing. According to Zynga CEO Don Mattrick, NaturalMotion will expand Zynga's creative pipeline and bring next-generation tools to the company.
NaturalMotion expands Zynga's creative pipeline, accelerates our mobile growth, and brings next-generation technology and tools to Zynga that will fast-track our ability to deliver consumers more hit games. Bringing Zynga and NaturalMotion together is a bold step in the right direction at the right time.

Combining NaturalMotion's strengths with Zynga's ability to develop breakthrough social features while sustaining live games over time, offers us a huge opportunity to redefine the gaming industry and deliver consumers blockbuster entertainment experiences.
Alongside the acquisition of NaturalMotion, Zynga also announced that it is laying off a total of 314 employees, or 15 percent of its workforce, as part of a cost reduction plan that is expected to save the company up to $35 million. During 2013, Zynga saw $873.3 million in revenue, but ultimately had a net loss of $37 million. With Apple in some cases assisting King in targeting apps with "candy" in their names, developers unhappy with King's IP strategy have responded with a protest that is seeking to flood the iOS App Store with candy-themed games, according to reports from Pocket-lint and Slate.

Organized by the Candy Jam website, the group exhorts game developers to "fight trademark trolling" by making a candy-themed game between now and February 3. The game-making jam is meant to protest the trademark system and King's aggressive business tactics, and developers have already submitted more than 100 apps with different combinations of the words "candy," "saga," "scroll," "apple" and more.

King CEO and co-founder Riccardo Zacconi says the company is "not trying to control the world’s use of the word candy," clarifying that King will only use the trademark "to prevent others from creating games that unfairly capitalise on our success." Zacconi also defends his company against allegations that it released a game, Pac-Avoid, that cloned an existing game from developer Stolen Goose. Zacconi explains the company "should never have published Pac-Avoid" and has apologetically pulled it from its website.

View the original article here
http://hsdcr3w.blogspot.com/2014/02/protestors-rally-against-crush-saga.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Anonymous)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917042311104708077.post-8568237650599628715Thu, 13 Feb 2014 11:24:00 +00002014-02-13T03:24:00.061-08:00Homeownershipnumberstrusted
The Census Bureau reports that the homeownership rate during the last three months of 2013 was down 0.2 percentage point from a year ago and 0.1 percentage point from the previous quarter. At 65.2 percent, the reported homeownership rate is about the same as it was in the late 1990s, before it soared to nearly 70 percent during the housing boom.

While the Census Bureau’s survey-based report might reveal general trends in homeowner and rental vacancy rates, Calculated Risk’s Bill McBride warns not to rely on the absolute numbers, which are tied to a couple of surveys and a Census that’s taken every 10 years.

The actual homeownership rate “is probably in the 64 percent to 65 percent range — and given changing demographics, the homeownership rate is probably close to a bottom,” McBride says. By last week the moves were big enough to attract a few bottom-fishers, others too queasy.

At the end of this week, the defensive huffing “Just a correction” sounds like Monty Python’s amputated knight, “Just a flesh wound!”

First some hard data, then the mechanics and risks of a currency crisis, then the Fed and U.S. response.

Fourth-quarter GDP did fine, up 3.2 percent, which beats the hell out of 2 percent. But that was a percentage-point lower than the boomer forecasts last month.

Best part: Consumers led, accounting for the whole gain. But housing is thin at best, pending sales in a bad tank in December. And orders for durable goods sank 4.3 percent in that month.

The questions remain: Have we entered true acceleration, and if so enough to raise wages?

We can argue about those questions, but there is nothing in the data to cause the stock market sell-off and bond rally. Those have external foundations.
An overbought stock market was overdue, and the currency crisis is knocking rates down, a huge help in a time of too-tight credit. Enjoy and watch."
International currency crises always begin as this one has. Inherently weak but rapidly growing nations are overextended. They look the same in any decade or century: excessive imports over exports, exports concentrated to overextended buyers, domestic inflation, ineffective or destructive governments, and external debt. This time the victim-perps are less in debt, but all else is in play.

These crises begin by global investors selling weak-nation assets (stocks and bonds), which pushes down their currency values, attracts sales of the currencies themselves, and goes viral, infecting even the not-so-weak.

The only means of defense: Raise interest rates to provide incentive for outsiders to hold your currency, to dampen inflation, and to correct your balance of trade by chopping imports.

If you succeed in putting out the currency fire, you get a bad recession. On Tuesday Turkey’s central bank raised its overnight rate from 4.5 percent to 12 percent. Ow.

The disease has spread from Argentina to Brazil to India to Russia. Most often these things fizzle out after a fever and some commode-hugging. But a bad one, as Asia in 1998, can topple governments and take 20 years to recover, and ripple outward to the healthy.

The 1998 “Asian Contagion” was a boon to the U.S. Cash rushed here, dropped our interest rates and goosed our economy. But we had a good economy, then.

The risk to us this time: Emerging markets collectively in recession will have lower wages and lower currencies, which can add to global downward pressure on wages and incipient deflation. We have not been here before, and this show is hard to handicap.

Two footnotes: Nassim Taleb has written “The Black Swan” and “Antifragile” on the importance of unforeseen events. To this reader, silly books. It is not useful to spend time looking for things that no one can foresee, like this currency affair. Instead, assume that periodically surprising stuff happens.

Second: We have spent the last five years trying to fireproof the banking system, the source of all evil, and in the process stunted it. A poorly framed financial system can transmit crisis, like coughing on an airplane, but the real vulnerability always lies in bad political/economic management.

The Fed insists that QE tapering is not tightening, which few outside believe. The QE venture was inherently circular: Those who thought the cash would run to stocks and commodities bought to join the ride, and now sell.

China’s restructuring, timid as it is, is a tightening, and this week’s market dive was magnified by worry of tightening by two of the four largest economies, Europe too tight to begin with, and Japan’s easing now canceled by emerging-currency collapse and flight to the yen.

The State of the Union speech was pure limping waterfowl, all the more so because the speaker doesn’t know. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid the next day canned plans for fast-track trade deals, and the minimum wage hike is in trouble even in the Senate.

It’s OK! There are times to just sit there, don’t do something. This is one.

An overbought stock market was overdue, and the currency crisis is knocking rates down, a huge help in a time of too-tight credit. Earlier betas of OS X 10.9.2 began allowing Mac users to block people on iMessage and FaceTime, as can be done in iOS 7, and also introduced FaceTime Audio.

Related roundup: OS X Mavericks [ 43 comments ] Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Share on Google+ Top Rated Comments(View all)
Merode9 hours ago at 06:41 amWhat is reasonable scaling ? News of O'Reilly's employment at Apple was first leaked to MobiHealthNews last week and when contacted for comment earlier today, Masimo told MacRumors it "could not dispute" what had been reported.

While O'Reilly was at Masimo, the company developed several cutting edge pulse oximetry devices, including the iSpO2 Pulse Oximeter that connects to the iPhone and gives readings via an accompanying app. The iSpO2, which takes its readings from a finger, is designed to measure both oxygen saturation in the blood and pulse rate, with technology that allows it to take readings during movement and with low blood flow.

The iSpO2 Pulse Oximeter for iPhone
While it is not clear what position O'Reilly holds with Apple or how his pulse oximetry expertise will be used by the company, he does join a number of other hires in the medical field that have reportedly been recruited for the iWatch team. In 2013, Apple hired several scientists and executives from notable sensor companies like AccuVein, C8 MediSensors, and Senseonics, and two weeks ago, another report pointed to two additional hires in the sensor field.
Reports have suggested that Apple's smart watch project, the iWatch, could focus heavily on health sensors and biometrics, possibly including features like a pedometer and a heart rate monitor. Apple's multitude of hires in the health field does suggest, however, that the company could include even more advanced sensor technology in the iWatch or in a future product.

With the addition of O'Reilly, Apple has now hired employees with expertise in pulse oximetry, vasculature visualization (vein finding), non-invasive glucose monitoring, blood chemistry monitoring via microneedle, heart/breath rate monitoring, and fitness. Notably, several hires have also had experience with low-profile, non-invasive biosensor devices.

On his LinkedIn page, O'Reilly is also listed as both an Adjunct Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan and a Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care at the University of California, Irvine.

View the original article here
http://hsdcr3w.blogspot.com/2014/02/apple-hires-chief-medical-officer-from.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Anonymous)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917042311104708077.post-2135878081052654995Wed, 12 Feb 2014 06:53:00 +00002014-02-11T22:53:00.086-08:00BitcoinCenterCryptocurrencyHeadquartersInsideStreets Pubblicato da HsD1 su 1 Febbraio 2014, 00:21am

Go to http://reason.com/reasontv for downloadable versions and subscribe to Reason TV's YouTube Channel to receive automatic updates when new material goes live.

View the original article here
http://hsdcr3w.blogspot.com/2014/02/wall-street-cryptocurrency-headquarters.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Anonymous)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5917042311104708077.post-8039958367274398763Wed, 12 Feb 2014 03:41:00 +00002014-02-11T19:41:00.586-08:00agentexpertfallacyneighborhood Experienced agents with a solid grasp of real estate data can advise clients across a wide geographic area
Just as walking through a kitchen doesn’t make you a chef, living in a neighborhood doesn’t make an agent a “neighborhood expert.”

The information age is firmly ensconced in the real estate word. Long gone are the days when agents were the gatekeepers of the data.

The days of multiple listing service books printed quarterly and carried around like bags of gold, only to be viewed by those with “access,” are a bad memory.

For the most part, the public has as much or more information available for use as Joe Agent. And that is a very good thing.

The real estate industry excels at public relations. Was there ever a time when any real estate organization, now or in the past, didn’t trumpet that “it’s a great time to buy”?

Even during the crash and years of bottom scraping, that shrill message remained.

The “recovering” market of the last year has launched new ads, rallying calls, and, of course, brought back “local” agents who represent themselves as “neighborhood experts.”
Can't any agent, or anyone, collect demographic data on the community?"
All of which is nonsense, because … see the first sentence.

An expert is defined as “a person who has a comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of or skill in a particular area. Experts have a prolonged or intense experience through practice and education in a particular field.”

Using this definition, it’s reasonable to assume that an “expert” agent would have many years of experience, and a fairly comprehensive body of work.

Every definition of “expert” focuses on a skill — not “how long they have lived and worked in Anytown, USA.”

Experience and knowledge seem to play a larger role than where someone lives.

But what does the “neighborhood expert” tell buyers and sellers?

“I live here and know this community cold … My kids went to that school … Homes here sell so fast … They’re building a new mall in the area that will make this area even more desirable … We’re recovered and are back on the increase.”

Buyers and sellers should ask themselves:
Can’t any agent, or anyone, collect demographic data on the community? Can’t any agent, or anyone, collect school data on the community?Has anyone, anywhere, been able to guarantee anything when it comes to development? How did that work during the boom? With guaranteed appreciation? The market has “recovered”? Real estate works at the micromarket level. The last five years have forever changed the business. Washington now controls things, and Washington has a track record.
“This is a very unique area, you need local expertise.”

Perhaps. But consider:
Is the “neighborhood agent” that expert? Why? No other agent can put the home in the MLS?What’s unique about the area? What impact will it have on the big picture? Is the “neighborhood expert” so focused that they don’t have a larger perspective? What about competing areas, and how they impact the process? What about potential appraisal issues? If “unique” is taken literally, does the “neighborhood expert” understand the appraisal process? Are they the only ones to speak about it?
“I have sold homes in this community for years.”

OK, but:
How many and how recently?Full time or opportunity agent?References? Source of business? Overall volume? Reputation in the industry?Competing markets? Will the seller or buyer miss other opportunities due to a myopic “neighborhood agent” view? Will the home seller have unrealistic expectations planted?
“I have buyers just waiting for homes to buy right here.”

Sure you do:
Listings that don’t require agents to move around much are always welcomed by the “neighborhood agent.”A variation of the “we need homes” nonsense is basic marketing and something that’s drilled into every agent’s head. The objective is to get a sign in the yard.Is it reasonable to assume that when the home hits the MLS that all buyers in that and similar neighborhoods will be interested?
“This area/house/lot is worth … because I KNOW this market.”

This is perhaps the single most damaging claim the “neighborhood expert” will make, because:
Agents “know” nothing, the market knows everything. The buyers are the market and they talk — “neighborhood expert” may not want to listen.Without recent data suitable for use in an appraisal, this is highly irresponsible to say but routinely done. This approach — opinion before data — is especially common with custom homes and second homes. “Neighborhood expert” won’t hesitate to manipulate or dismiss data that doesn’t fit their opinion.
Here’s a rather common scenario:

The “neighborhood expert” wants to remain noticed in their circles, and takes a listing and prices it to please the owner and others in the circle. Offers continue to come in below list, but the offers can be supported by market data.

The “neighborhood expert” becomes indignant with buyer’s agents presenting offers, and continues to ignore data in favor of their opinion. The neighborhood expert representing the seller continues to respond with, “Yeah, but …” and “The owner has X dollars into it. …”

The home languishes, eventually either expiring or selling where the market dictates.

The “neighborhood expert” assigns blame, saying something like, “The buyers just don’t recognize the value … the market this and that,” and convinces the client that the agent is not at fault.

The “neighborhood agent” can argue that they didn’t accept a “lowball” offer, and can continue to solicit business and say that they “know the real value” of the community.

To be clear, agents shouldn’t work outside of areas that they have experience in.

But even though areas like Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles and New York encompass large geographical areas, experienced full-time agents with a solid grasp of real estate data can effectively research trends and advise clients across these areas.

That’s assuming that:
Agents self-regulate in terms of time, distance and skill. Assistance should be solicited if required, or the file referred to another agent if needed.Adequate and appropriate data exists to formulate sound opinions.Recommendations to the client are based on data, not baseless opinions. The client understands the data and the opinions of the agent. The client is aware of the agent’s credentials and is satisfied with them.
Transparency is very much alive in the current real estate environment. Homebuyers and sellers have the ability to access every bit as much information as any agent does.

The proper application of that information is the key. Walking into a fully stocked kitchen does not make a chef. Having data is important, but applying it properly to the situation is the key to real estate success.

The single most important aspect of a successful real estate transaction begins with the client ensuring that a qualified, experienced real estate agent is selected. In the meantime, the more the public demands of the real estate industry, the better things will be.

Hank Miller is an associate broker and certified appraiser in Atlanta, Ga.
