Blurred Out: 51 Things You Aren't Allowed to See on Google Maps

Depending on which feature you use, Google Earth offers a satellite view or a street level view of tons of locations around the world. You can look up landmarks like the Pyramids of Egypt or the Great Wall of China, as well as more personal places, like your ex’s house. But for all of the places that Google Maps allows you to see, there are plenty of places that are off-limits. Whether it’s due to government restrictions, personal-privacy lawsuits or mistakes, Google Maps has slapped a "Prohibited" sign on the following 51 places.

Government and Military Sites

The White House: Google Maps' images of the White House show a digitally erased version of the roof in order to obscure the air-defense and security assets that are in place.
The U.S. Capitol: The U.S. Capitol has been fuzzy ever since Google Maps launched. Current versions of Google Maps and Google Earth show these sites uncensored, though with old pictures.
Vice President's House: The Vice President's digs at Number One Observatory Circle are obscured through pixelation in Google Earth and Google Maps at the behest of the U.S. government. However, high-resolution photos and aerial surveys of the property are readily available on other Web sites.
Soesterberg Air Base, in the Netherlands: This Dutch air-force base and former F-15 base for the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War can't be seen via Google Maps.
PAVE PAWS in Cape Cod, Mass.: PAVE PAWS is the U.S. Air Force Space Command’s radar system for missile warning and space surveillance. There are two other installations besides the one in Cape Cod.
Shatt-Al-Arab Hotel in Basra, Iraq: This site was possibly censored after it was reported that terrorists who attacked the British at the hotel used aerial footage displayed by Google Earth to target their attacks.
Leeuwarden, Netherlands: This Dutch city is one of the main operating bases of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, part of NATO's Joint Command Centre and one of three Joint Sub-Regional Commands of Allied Forces Northern Europe. Leeuwarden is also one of two regional headquarters of Allied Command Europe, headed by the Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
Reims Air Base in France: This lone building on Reims Air Base in France is blurred out.
Novi Sad: This military base in Serbia is off-limits.
Kamp van Zeist: Kamp van Zeist is a former U.S. Air Force base that was temporarily declared sovereign territory of the U.K. in 2000 in order to allow the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing trial to take place.
NATO C3 Agency: Located in Brussels, Belgium, the C3 Agency supports NATO through scientific support and funded acquisition of C4ISR (Consultation, Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) capabilities.
New American Embassy Location: This site is under construction.
NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen : This is the site of the main operating of NATO's Airborne Early Warning Control Force's E-3A Component, which provides an early-warning radar system to enhance NATO's air- defense capabilities. The base includes 17 E-3A aircraft used for air surveillance and air-operations-communications support. Crews from 14 nations, including Spain, Turkey and the U.S., power the aircraft.
Ramstein Air Base in Germany: Ramstein Air Base figures prominently in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. It's the home of the 86th Airlift Wing and headquarters of U.S. Air Forces in Europe. It is also a NATO installation. Americans, Canadians, Germans, British, French and other nationalities comprise the base's population.
The Royal Stables in The Hague, Netherlands: A division of the Civil Household, the Royal Stables arranges transport for the members of the Royal House and the Royal Household.
Huis Ten Bosch Palace: This address is one of the four official residences of the Dutch Royal Family, also located in The Hague, Netherlands. Queen Beatrix has lived here since 1981.

Political Pushback on Google Earth and Google Maps' Street View
North Oaks, Minn.: In late June 2008, the St. Paul, Minn. suburb of North Oaks successfully petitioned that street images be removed from Google Maps’ Street View feature. The argument put forth collectively by North Oaks' 4,500 residents involves the fact that the town has private roads that are protected by a trespassing ordinance. Google spokeswoman Elaine Filadelfo said that she didn't know of any other city in the country that has made a similar request.
The Boring Home: Aaron and Christine Boring of Franklin Park Pa. claimed that Google Maps' Street View feature violated their privacy, devalued their property and caused them mental suffering by posting images of a private road in front of their house. The Borings said that the images of their home must have been taken from their long driveway, which is labeled "Private Road."
Bahrain: In August 2006, Bahrain's Ministry of Information instructed the country's Internet exchange to block access to Google Earth servers. The ban lasted three days. Internet rumors claimed that the ban's goal was to keep poorer citizens from viewing the elaborate residences and private jets of the country's rich, in order to keep secret the inequity of wealth distribution in Bahrain. Cyberactivists circulated an email that contained a PDF file with annotated Google Earth screenshots of the supposed Bahrain sites.
Europe: In May 2008, the EU's (European Union) data-protection agency railed against Google Maps' Street View feature, which shows ground-level, 360-degree views of streets in 30 U.S. cities. Officials claimed that the feature may break EU privacy laws if launched in Europe.
Singapore: In April 2008, the country's government claimed that the ban stemmed from a dispute between SLA (Singapore Land Authority) and Google over copyright issues. SLA alleged that the satellite images on Google Earth are direct copies of real geographic features in Singapore and infringe upon the organization's copyrights.
Sudan: The Google Earth ban in Sudan is reportedly due to U.S. export restrictions and economic-sanctions regulations. Knowledge of the ban spread after Google Earth added info about the humanitarian crisis in Sudan's Darfur region.
Iran: Late in 2007, an Iranian businessman tried to download Google Earth and got a message that said, "Thanks for your interest, but the product that you're trying to download is not available in your country."
India: Google censors certain sensitive sites in India. Former Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam expressed concern over the availability of high-resolution pictures of sensitive locations within the country.
Sydney, Australia: Much of inner Sydney still remains blurred. Google says that it removed the high-resolution photos due to a problem with one of the image providers, but Internet publications pointed to fears that the maps could be used as a terrorist tool. Some of the blocked areas include (or have included at some point) The Garden Island Naval Depot, the Lucas Heights Reactor, Parliament House and the Australian Defence Force headquarters in Canberra.
Areas of Southeast Asia: Areas blurred by Google Earth include sensitive political areas like Tibet/Xinjiang Province, northern areas of Pakistan and royal palaces.
Central/Eastern village of Yona, on the Pacific Island Territory of Guam: It’s unknown why this location is censored.
The city of Utrecht in the Netherlands: Some sites say that the ban on this Dutch city was an apparent mistake, but it does hold relevance as an ancient city and has served as the religious center of the Netherlands since the eighth century.
Fortress on Castell de Montjuïc in Barcelona, Spain: This hill no longer houses a military presence, but it’s unavailable in Google Maps' high-resolution satellite images. However it did become accessible on Google Earth in April 2008.

Nuclear Stations, Energy-Generation Sites and Reserves

Seabrook Station: This nuclear-power station is located in New Hampshire and is one of two originally planned units.
UMass Lowell Nuclear Research Reactor: This lab's primary focus is on reactor physics, operations and modeling. It houses 1 MW pool-type nuclear research reactor that has been operating since 1974.
Indian Point Energy Center in Westchester, N.Y.: Indian Point Energy Center is a three-unit nuclear power plant station.
Hydroelectric Dams and Supporting Waterways Near Niagara Falls, N.Y.: Niagara Falls function as a good source of hydroelectric power, which is probably why Google keeps these dams and waterways blurred.
McGuire Nuclear Station: With two Westinghouse pressurized water reactors and an ability to produce 2,200 megawatts of power, McGuire Nuclear Station generates almost half of North Carolina's nuclear power.
Perry Nuclear Generating Station: The San Francisco Chronicle reported in May 2007 that a spokeswoman for FirstEnergy, the electricity company that owns this Ohio nuclear plant, had no idea why the facility was blurred on Google.
Oconee Nuclear Station in Seneca, S.C.: Oconee Nuclear Station, which has three pressurized water reactors manufactured by The Babcock & Wilcox Company, is the second nuclear power plant in the country to have its license extended by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Oil-Tank Farm in Braintree, Mass.: An oil-tank farm is a storage facility for liquid chemicals.
Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant: Though closed since 1989 due to protests, this General Electric Co. nuclear boiling-water reactor in New York is still fuzzy on Google Maps.
Liquid Natural Gas Terminal in Chelsea, Mass. and a Large Portion of an Industrial Port Area in Boston: Both of these areas are blurry on Google Maps.
Marshall Steam Station in Terrell, N.C.: Marshall Steam Station is a four-unit, coal-fired generating facility located in Catawba County, North Carolina.

Colleges and Research Labs
Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory: Lincoln Laboratory is a federally funded research-and-development center working to use advanced technology to help solve problems of national security.
General Electric World Research Laboratories and General Electric Main Plant in Schenectady, N.Y.: According to General Electric's Web site, the research component boasts more than 3,000 of "the best and brightest researchers spread out at four multi-disciplinary facilities around the world."
Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory: This research-and-development facility supports the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, which researches, designs, constructs, operates and maintains U.S. nuclear-powered warships.
Stony Brook University: Stony Brook University is blurred because it houses Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Manhattanville College's Dammann and Tenney Dormitories: Manhattanville College, located in Purchase N.Y., is probably blurred because it’s near several corporate headquarters, including PepsiCo Inc., Texaco and MasterCard.
Noordwijk Aan Zee: The headquarters for ESTEC (European Space Research and Technology Centre and part of ESA (European Space Agency) are located in this Dutch community.
HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) Antenna Array on the Alaska/Yukon Border: This is part of the site for HAARP, which studies ionospheric-radio science.Miscellaneous
White Plains Train Station: The Wikipedia page for this New York train station states that "due to security reasons, overhead images of the station cannot be viewed in Google Maps or Google Earth."
William Hurt's Home: This actor’s home outside of Paris is hazy.
Playland Amusement Park in Rye, N.Y.: Google will not let you in on the fun at this amusement park, which boasts arcade games and 45 major rides.
Saint Louis School in Honolulu: Only the football field, the field house, the gym and ellipse are available on Google.

Bats !! They make you crazy at times. When I stayed in my Lucknow home, which was lying abandoned for the last 20 years, I never knew that a baby bats will really help me out in doing a warm up exercise before I take a nice nap. They really made me "A BATMAN !" after all those workouts in catching them up.Ummmm..We both were terrified of each other's presence and it was literally their home for the past 20 years which we actually intended to invade.

I saw the first flying bat in the year 2005 and their wing span was as much as 1 meter. It happened when I was in Xamvier's hostel. Crows were going back home in the evening and these BATS were gliding like the crows does, without flapping their wings. They were also particulary visible, REALLY BIG !!,"COVERED WITH THEIR OWN BROWN BLANKET" & hanging upside down, from the fig trees near Deonar Bus Stop and Gandhi Nagar Bus Stop. Let me tell you, that there are very particular places in Mumbai from where you would hear their shrieking sound and a healthy outfit. :).

Most recently, they helped me in taking my General Intelligence test in the HRD department of Godrej & Boyce (their Shrieks) ! They have one of the best patronage provided by the lush green trees in the Godrej Headquarters. These trees are fruit bearing indeed, at least visually, thanks to them !!

When we talk about BATS, we do loathe it. The perception, adding to the cacophonous noise that they make while hanging upside down, makes us hate this creature. They also make a significant contribution in our ecosystem. Let us attempt to know how they are unique.

Bats are mammals of the order Chiroptera whose forelimbs form webbed wings, making them the only mammals naturally capable of true and sustained flight. By contrast, other mammals said to fly, such as flying squirrell,gliding possums, and colugs, glide rather than fly, and can only glide for a short distance. Bats do not flap their entire forelimbs, as birds do, but instead flap their spread-out digits, which are very long and covered with a thin membrane orpatagium.

Bats represent about twenty percent of all classified mammal species worldwide, with about 1,240 bat species divided into two suborders: the less specialized and largely fruit-eating megachiroptera, or flying foxes, and the more highly specialized and echolocating microchiroptera. About seventy percent of bats are insectivores. Most of the rest are frugivores, or fruit eaters. A few species such as the Fish Eating Bat, feed from animals other than insects, with the vampire bats being the only parasitic mammalian species. Bats are present throughout most of the world, performing vital ecological roles of pollinating flowers and dispersing fruit seeds. Many tropical plant species depend entirely on bats for the distribution of their seeds. Bats are important in eating insect pests, reducing the need for pesticides.

The smallest bat is the Kitti's Hog Nosed Bat, measuring 29–34 mm (1.14–1.34 in) in length, 15 cm (5.91 in) across the wings and 2–2.6 g (0.07–0.09 oz) in mass. It is also arguably the smallest extant species of mammal, with the Etruscan Shrew being the other contender. The largest species of bat is the "Giant Golden Crowned Flying Fox", which is 336–343 mm (13.23–13.50 in) long, has a wingspan of 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) and weighs approximately 1.1–1.2 kg (2–3 lb).

Towards A New Ecosystems Approach

The world is going through a difficult phase. The economic downturn is slowly coming to an end, and

countries are fighting hard to reach a new economic stability that will hurt their population as little as

possible. In the process the effects of global climate change, though recognized, have been put on a lesser

priority than regaining economic strength. That’s why the richer nations could not agree on terms at

Copenhagen in December 2009.

But whether nations agree on terms or not, Earth continues to get warmer - and the challenges are growing,

the glaciers are melting away, pollution is galloping faster, over-usage of the world’s great rivers is

increasing. Soon we may see the fears of the next wars being fought over water availability globally

coming true.And that’s not all. In 2009 an estimated 1.02 billion people were classified as under nourished, approximately 12% more than the previous year (2008). This means that nearly one in six people on

earth suffers from undernourishment or the so called chronic hunger. According to a recent survey conducted by the United Nations an estimated 13.6 million people in India have become poor or remained in poverty during the same year 2009. The root cause of all these problems is somehow linked to resource utilization.

Finally the realization is dawning that Society’s well-being, a sustainable economy and healthy ecosystems work together. Development and better standard of living are not necessarily dependent only on growth-based economic systems, and there is increasing scientific evidence that natural resources can be limiting factors for development. We must all watch together and monitor and manage ecosystems. Create sustainable approaches and practices to harvest our scarce resources.

Now, our path should be towards an “Ecosystem Approach”.

To adopt this, there can be two guiding principles:

1. Try to act in the areas of creating possibilities for raising local employment to reduce poverty and inequality

2.To encourage and emphasise green technologies and agricultural farms by valuing ‘ecoservices’ in a proper manner.

In this context some good principles for development will strengthen the above guiding principles:

1. Scale: The scale of economic activities is important and the cost of these have to be carefully monitored during the year.

2. Development versus growth. Work at changing the view! While development is what people want,

somehow we should try to bring it closer to them.

3. Market prices tell ecological truth. The cost and status of whatever food we grow should be

enhanced by the quality of the inputs we bring to the picture.

4. Account for nature services: Polluters must pay, and we should make sure we are not one of them.

5. The first precautionary principle. Do no harm our own ecosystem.

6. Give common folk a chance. Let them manage their own ecosystems, and our inputs through programs will aim at enhancing their efforts in this direction.

7. Value women. Empower them, respect them and support them – and our own workings must underline this.

We should kickstart on making some some new beginnings by now. Strive to enhance and improve our environmental footprint – and begin this process with a more careful eye on the resources (energy, water and materials) we use. The traditional priorities in such a situation are to Reduce, Reuse & Recycle. But in ecosystem approach we Re-imagine, Redesign, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

This should be our hope and our direction !!! Lets hope and work on it. Amen !!

How I got my stolen mobile back

It was on 10th July 2011.Somebody stole my Micromax X 510 phone when I was entering in the bus number 399 at the Gandhi nagar bus stop, Kanjurmarg. I was returning back to my flat after watching "Delli Belli" in Huma adlabs with my brothers. While entering the bus, I was listening to the song using a headphone which was connected to my cell phone. I realized all of a sudden that the song stopped and when I checked my pocket, the phone was not there. My phone was ringing for some 10 minutes which indicated that the pick pocketer was inside the bus only. I still couldn't nab this guy as I had no option to identify him and pointing to a wrong person will only create more problems. Things aside, a drunkard traveling in the bus created a lot of ruckus with this matter when I raised an alarm.

I got my phone back on 1st August 2011 after visiting the parksite police station a multiple number of times. Thanks to the mobile tracking softwares that are installed in the phones nowadays and thanks to my dearest friend Mrudula, who always sent me the contact number of the person who was using my stolen phone. Mr Salunkhe, a senior police inspector in the parksite police station helped me in retrieving my phone. He told me that the person who stole my phone is only using it and haven't sold it to anyone and also, he is invloved in a robbery case worth 8 Lac of Rupee from Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

Its a reminder for all of us that If we are using a smartphone, we should always keep the mobile tracker activated. The feature can be explored in the "Settings" of the phone. I regret that I didn't activate the mobile tracker with my earlier phone, the samsung corby that I lost while getting down from the same bus -399. (on 22nd June 2011). Also keep on taking followups regarding your complaints with the police officers in Mumbai. They have a very efficient cyber cell through and local intelligence group through which they nab the culprits.

For me, it is also a reminder that you get your things back if it comes from your hard earned money.

The Quarter-Life Crisis_Unknown

It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are a lot of things about yourself that you didn't know and may or may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.

You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you do not realize is that they are realizing that too and are not really cold or catty or mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.

You look at your job. It is not even close to what you thought you would be doing or maybe you are looking for one and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and are scared.

You miss the comforts of college, of groups, of socializing with the same people on a constant basis. But then you realize that maybe they weren't so great after all.

You are beginning to understand yourself and what you want and do not want. Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging a bit more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and add things to your list of what is acceptable and what is not. You are insecure and then secure. You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.

You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you or you lay in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough to get to know better. You love someone but maybe love someone else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this because you are not a bad person.

One night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap and getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic. You go through the same emotions and questions over and over and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision.

You worry about loans and money and the future and making a life for yourself and while wining the race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a contender!

What you may not realize is that everyone reading this relates to it. We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out.

I used to break open the hidden eggs of garden lizards

deep beneath the lawn soil

I used to brutally kill the snails

lying beside the drain

to catch fish

I used to kill ants

roughshod

throwing them in a 1000 watt heater

while making tea

Today was talking to Karishma,

had an insight that

we all are nothing but animals

and with animal instincts

and this is the society

which grooms us to live the way it wants

As we grow

We become sensible

We more or less stop killing creatures

I have learnt so,

but there are hell lot of mobs

who still don't care about it

and recklessly

brutally

kill insects

creatures

any small animal

coming in the way.

Finding Groundwater using COCONUT.

Way back in our rural practicum in Pachod, one of the district beside Aurangabad in Maharashtra, I learnt to know, for the first time in my life that there are beautiful traditional techniques in the village to find a source of an underground water current. Victor, one of my colleague from Tata Institute of Social Sciences was the one who told us about this technique of using dry Coconut to find groundwater.

Though our group of seven members tried it and tried it, we couldn't ascertain the availability of water using the coconut.

The procedure though goes like this:-

Take a full coconut after removing the bulky fibre. Leave little fibre almost in a triangular look at the top.There will be two or three black spots on the coconut at this place.

Now keep lower arm up in L shape & palm unfolded

Keep your palm almost flat. No curving of fingures.
Now place the coconout on your palm ( O> like this ) .

Now slowly move by walking, keeping your hand in " L " Shape. You should find that the coconut will lift on its own when you come across the water current. That is, the bowl shaped coconut bottom on your palm and the pointer will be towards the sky. ^

Where there is more water current it will lift up fully. If you move slowly backwards, the coconut will come to the resting point.

It is noticed that few people do not get response from the coconut. Don't know why.

Why BEEHIVES are not found in cities....HONEYBEES are dying.!!!

Where ever I find greenery ( less nowadays :( ), I make two points- First, to look for beautiful shapes merging out of the tree branches and Second, look for the Beehives of the HoneyBees. The later pose a big problem to find. Yes its' true, Try this out yourself, it would be difficult to find any. I didn't find a single Beehive in TISS campus or anywhere else in Mumbai. The last one I saw was when I did a visit to Keshav Srushti, far away from Mumbai, in Bhayander where I had some glimpse of the nature . Does it explain the reason why Honey is getting costlier and costlier each days.??

Well....kids everywhere may reveal the fact that bees are no longer stinging them as frequently on playgrounds and in backyards. Its true, I was stung last time in 1993, some seventeen years back. What does it reveal ? THE DECLINE IN HONEYBEE POPULATION OFFCOURSE. This decline in our city and elsewhere too signals a major environmental imbalance that could have far-reaching implications for our agricultural food supply and may be a big catastrophe that we are not able to understand yet. After some research on this issue I came up with some findings that I would like to share with you

Honeybees are bred commercially for their abilities to produce honey and pollinate crops—90 different farm-grown foods, including many fruits and nuts, depend on honeybees. But in recent years honeybee populations across the cworld have plummeted by as much as 70 percent and biologists are still scratching their heads as to why and what to do about the problem which they have termed “COLONY COLLAPSE DISORDER” (CCD). Imagine a world without Honeybees, the pollination process would greatly collapse and we would have a major food crisis. The nature's sweetest gift- Honey, which we won't get and what lies beneath the scene, the unexpected, that also we don't know.

Many believe that our increasing use of chemical pesticides and herbicides, which honeybees ingest during their daily pollination rounds, are largely to blame. Commercial beehives are also subjected to direct chemical fumigation at regular intervals to ward off destructive mites. Another leading suspect is genetically modified crops, which may generate pollen with compromised nutritional value.

It may be that the build-up of both synthetic chemicals and genetically modified crop pollen has reached a “tipping point,” stressing bee populations to the point of collapse. Lending credence to this theory is that organic bee colonies, where chemicals and genetically modified crops are avoided, are not experiencing the same kind of catastrophic collapses.

Bee populations may also be vulnerable to other factors, such as the recent increase in atmospheric electromagnetic radiation as a result of growing numbers of cell phones and more wireless communication towers. The increased radiation given off by such devices may interfere with bees’ ability to navigate. A small study at Germany’s Landau University ( Just Read ) found that bees would not return to their hives when mobile phones were placed nearby. Further research is currently underway to determine the extent of such radiation-related phenomena on bees and other insect populations.

Biologists also wonder if global warming may be exaggerating the growth rates of pathogens such as the mites, viruses and fungi that are known to take their toll on bee colonies. The unusual hot-and-cold winter weather fluctuations in recent years, also blamed on global warming, may also be wreaking havoc on bee populations accustomed to more consistent seasonal weather patterns.

I heard from one of my friend that the moment the honeybees would disappear from earth, one year down the line to that, the life force in the world would collapse. Kind of an unexpected and and uncomfortable remark. Right ?

Turn it off. Pat several times at its back and then switch it on again. This is the easiest way to get your stuffs in working order again.

If your phone stops working, just drop it from a meter distance. I have tried it several times with the phone of my friends and it works.

The origin of the number 420 ..Chaar sau beesi....in our common talks about cheaters.....Also list of sections of the IPC you should know.

Ever wondered the origin of the number 420 ?

We in India use this number so many times to describe those who are involved in cheating/betraying/chicaning others. I also remember how the room number 420 was missing in Sevaniketan where I used to stay when I was in St Xavier's Mumbai. Day before yesterday, I was going through the Indian Penal Code viva notes of my mother and there I got to know specifically what it mentions. It is one of the section of the IPC under which people are punished for cheating and dishonesty inducing delivery of property. So now I can envisage that in the earlier times, the police had to give justifications to the family of people who were caught cheating cases. And this section became one of the accepted word among us, the commoners.

I wish that all the sections are made popular among the masses. Atleast they will have a ready referrence to get cops do their expected business. Afterall writing severe offences in the non cognizable NC register is not that unpopular. Here is a list of some common sections of the IPC which people should know and also imbibe in their daily talks like how 420 is imbibed.
