விழுப்புரம் அருகிலுள்ள சிறுவந்தாடு கிராமத்தில், லட்சுமி நாராயணப் பெருமாள் கோவில் உள்ளது. புரட்டாசி சனிக்கிழமையன்று மட்டைத் தேங்காய் கட்டி வழிபட்டால், மூன்றே மாதத்தில் திருமண யோகம் வரும் என்கின்றனர்.
தல வரலாறு: சோழ மன்னன் கோப்பெருஞ்சிங்கனால் கட்டப்பட்டது லட்சுமி நாராயணப் பெருமாள் கோவில். விஜயநகர மன்னர் அச்சுதராயர் இங்கு திருப்பணி செய்ததாக கல்வெட்டு கூறுகிறது.
தற்போதுள்ள கோவில் 19ம் நூற்றாண்டைச் சேர்ந்தது. மண்டபம் முழுவதும் கருங்கல்லாலும், விமானம் மட்டும் சுதையாலும் ஆனது. கருவறையில் மூலவர் சுகாசனத்தில் அமர்ந்து, லட்சுமி தாயாரை வலது மடியில் தாங்கியபடி காட்சி தருகிறார். தாயார் வலக்கையால் பெருமாளை அணைத்த படியும், இடக்கையில் தாமரை மலரை ஏந்தியும் இருக்கிறார். கருவறை எதிரில் கருடாழ்வார் வீற்றிருக்கிறார். அர்த்தமண்டபத்தில் கனகவல்லி தாயார் சன்னிதி உள்ளது. கோதண்டராமர், ஆஞ்சநேயர், சக்கரத்தாழ்வார், ஆண்டாள், ஆழ்வார்கள், ஆச்சாரியார்கள் ஆகியோருக்கு சன்னிதிகள் உள்ளன. எலுமிச்சை மரமே இங்கு தல விருட்சம்.

மட்டைத் தேங்காய்: பல காரணங்களால் திருமணம் தடைபட்டு நொந்து போய் உள்ளவர்கள், மட்டைத் தேங்காயை லட்சுமி நாராயணர் முன் வைத்து வழிபாடு செய்து எடுத்துச் செல்கின்றனர். இதனை வீட்டில் வைத்து தினமும் வழிபட்டால், மூன்று மாதத்திற்குள் திருமண யோகம் உண்டாகும் என்பது ஐதீகம். இங்குள்ள பக்த ஆஞ்சநேயருக்கு சனிக்கிழமைகளில் துளசி மாலை சாத்தி, நெய்தீபம் ஏற்றி வழிபட்டால் நினைத்தது நடக்கும் என்கின்றனர்.

The long awaited Parents Meeting and next Jathaga Parivarthanai Program is scheduled to take place at South Indian Samaj, Ram Mandap, Y - Avenue, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi - 110 023 on Sunday 22nd May 2016.

This time the program is organized by the BRAHMANA SABHA PANCHA DWARAKA (BSPD) NCR Delhi Unit as per the guidance and Blessings of Their Holiness Sri Sankaracharyas of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.
