Ancient City

On Sunday September 19, 2010 went to Ancient City, Samut Prakarn, Thailand. The member of the group that day is Pia and Pisal.

It has been raining every day for the whole week but it was hot and sunny day that day which is very good for photography day....

I am really recommend for all the visitors to visit here on very beginning of their arrival to see where would they would like to head to. As the ancient city has layed out the important places to visit in thailand in a piece of land where they categorize the places into parts of Thailand. As you enter the "ancient city" you would be coming from the south of thailand, move to central, eastern, north western, and back to south on your exit.

It opens from 8 am to 5 pm. I recommend you to enter at 8am if you are serious to take photos. Once you were there you would lost in time try to take your best shots. The good news is the bikes and trams are free but I would prefer to ride a bike. There is golf cart which cost 200 baht per hr. for 2 seater. You also can bring your car in which cost 300 baht.

Admission fee is 200 for thai and 300 for foreigners.

Mark & Pui held new year party (2008) at there house. It is a cool house actually. He have rooms in different colors. This is the red room where is his work area is. If it was me I could not sit and work for that many hrs.

On Dec 6 have an opportunity to take pictures of fireworks again. Thanks Chet for offering me
good space to take pictures. It is just opposite of the Golf course at Ratchadumri which is just opposite of the launching site.

Seiko Fireworks

On Dec 4 have opportunity to see fireworks at the Nang Leng Horse racing track. The firework was delayed for about one hour. It was tiring to wait but it was worth to wait.

Luckily my friend's house is just opposite of launching site. Thanks Sun for the good view and good hospitality. Thanks day for tagging me along. And nice to see you again Gate. Long time no see.

Sanarm Chan Palace

On November 25, 2007 I have an opportunity to go to Sanarm Chan Palace in Phratum Tani with Tipp's family. We go there by rented van. It was quite fun there. The weather is not that hot as it is winter in Thailand now.

First stop is at Human Imagery Museum. In Thai they say it is wax museum but when I read the brochure, it is in fiber glass.

It is good place to practice shooting photos.

Rythem and colors by GIT

Today I have opportunity to visit the Rhythm and colors by GIT.

It is the event for the new designers in the jewelry industry. It is a competition for the
designers to use rhythm and colors for their pieces of jewelry. They must be usable, wearable
jewelry because some times the designs look really great but they can not use or produce
because of cost, and other factors.

Jazz Competition @ Siam Paragon

Today I got a chance to see a Jazz Band competition at Siam Paragon. It is quite fun there.

I arrived there around 7.00pm. I saw towards the end of other band but not sure who it was.

This is Ohma Band. I guest band believed to be Teacher at Silpakorn University.

They are quite a good band. The singer has high voice power.

The next band is from Silpakorn also. They are .. forgot the name ..
But they are good ... really good for 3rd year student.

You can see how many audiences there are.

This is other band from Mahidol university.

They were good but in my oppinion, the Slipakorns are better.

Before I head home because of my hunger ... there is other band. This one is the open round.
they have high voices and nice hair colors... ;)

I really had fun ... quite relaxing for Friday evening ;) ....

Fat Fest 7 & Y 50

On Sat Nov. 10. I have opportunity to visit Fat Festival. When I got there and found out that the ticket is BHT200. I feel it's quite expensive and didn't want to get in. More over the queues are very long.

I called note (he's working in the lighting team) that I am here but the ticket is so expensive and going home. He told me to wait and he come pick me up with a staff card.

Once got inside note show me the floor where they print a big chart of google earth where they have map of Bangkok for people to find their home and stick there names on the map.

You always heard on Air Bus air craft before take off and landing ... cabin crew door slide armed and door slide disarmed. This is the slide arm and disarm.

In Boeing would be door mode automatic and manual.

This is Bastakiah area where one of my customer opens restaurant. It is very classic, exotic.
Food are extremely delicious.

Next Station Bang Sue

This morning went to Jatujak weekend market with friend to buy some thing for my office. I decided to relax abit before the sun goes down better shoot some picture.

I think of Bang Sue train Station as I used to go there to catch the train to Ayuthaya with my cousin, sandy who live in the states. Other reason that I choose to take picture at the train station is that Thailand has train in the Reign of King Rama 5, a hundred years ago but Thailand has not develop much of the train system. We have the BTS and the subway but it only provide the ease of the inner city people. It does not comute people in the outer Bangkok which I hope all the rail would be done very soon.

When I take the picture of this train Ifeel very happy. The train driver smiles at me as like
no one has ever taking picture at his train.

Bangkok Gems And Jewelry Fair (Press Con)

Today I have opportunity to attend the press conference of the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair which will be held September 18 - 23, 2007 at Challenger Hall Impact Mung Thong Thani

It is my first time taking picture of fashion show. It is harder than I thought.

The models are walking very fast. The light is very low and you are using long zoom.

Canon 90 - 300 on Canon EOS 300d. It is very hard to have the picture sharp.

Most of my pictures are blur.

Only these are ok.

Osaka - Tokyo, 2007

Fly To Japan Via Thai Airways Boeing 777 - 300. Sadly no PTV as I expect to watch movies during the flight.

Visit many shops in Osaka, espcially the cloths shops. This shop I particularly like as it decorated the shop in the traditional Japanese style. The t-shirts, jeans, jackets, etc are in the traditional Japanese designs.

Fashion in Osaka... It is different from Tokyo. Tokyo tend to use simple color, brand intensive. Osaka is more fashioned.

Mc Donald's ... First time have Mc Donald's in Japan. It is quite delicious. Now they have pork burger on promotion 200 Yen (117 = 1 US$).

If I am not mistaken... this is ramen resturant...

Lets hop out and see the street of Osaka... Most of the japanese riding bikes which I think it's great. Using public transports. The trains in Japan is very convinence. You can get around town very easy with trains. You only need to ride bike to the train station and park it there. If you live little bit further bus is good way of transport. Taxi is rarely use.

If you dont want to ride a bike, city car like this is very convinence also but the problem is the parking can be very expensive.

Well, I start to pick up my camera again after a while. I was quite busy with things.

August 12, 2007 was a mother's day in Thailand and I have a long weekend. On the night of 11th. I felt bored and want to get out of my home to shoot some pics.
