KLASHAA - Keeping You Entertained

Klashaa's Closet held its first pop up shop on Oct. 3rd, 2016 at Manor DC in Washington, DC for Indie Fashion Week: Cycle THR33. It was a HUGE success featuring models from The ROE Agency and original and boutique fashions from Klashaa's Closet. Patrons enjoyed drinks, fun, and fashion in a cool environment while DJ RZADARULER spins in the DJ booth. Check out select fashion from my boutique below as well as me (Purple Hair) wearing an original piece by Klashaa x MCODE.

Klashaa.net: Klashaa Update: Bliss - Love, Relationships, and More

2015-05-25T14:08:00.000-04:00

I haven't updated in a while...and I promised myself I would as blogging is kind of therapeutic for me. As you can see from the photo, there has DEFINITELY been some changes :) Last time I blogged, I talked a little about my dad's death....which I haven't fully come in terms with. I miss my dad and best friend everyday and am still heartbroken he will miss out on his newest grandbaby. My life has kind of been at a standstill since then and a couple of other events, but I'm a strong girl :-) I've been using this time to recuperate and realign myself with my goals.

So, with that being said, I've certainly have a lot on my plate right now...which includes a newborn and her big sister. Im excited and definitely dedicated myself to this newest chapter in my life. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and wonderful partner to take this ride with me. I mean...Ive never felt so taken care of, supported, and loved. With the risk of sounding mushy, I have never felt this way about anyone else in my life and finally just feel like this is it. HE is it. Like EVERYTHING I wanted in a man :-) Gotta thanks his mama everytime I see her (haha)! Im happy to say Ive found forever. Glad to add two titles to his name :-) (1st everything).

Anyhoo, I've started to update my Klashaa's Closet instagram page more so go check it out. I love my Fashionably Pregnant photos. They look awesome! S/O to Dymond Scoby for the photos. We will be working a lot closer in the next couple of months. I LOVE supporting my fellow female entrepreneurs.

Well, time to go to handle some household duties! Be back soon :-) #StayTuned

My First Valentine: I Love you #RIP

2015-02-13T10:41:00.000-05:00

I was always somewhat a Daddy's girl....he could do no wrong in my eyes....I can remember watching scary movies with him (Still did) and curling up with my head on his lap. I remember always being excited to see him and talk to him on the phone. We talked on the phone constantly...he was my best friend and I told him everything. I still have the urge to call him every time I need to talk and have to fight tears every time I remember. I hear his voice every time I close my eyes and I remember hes gone every time I open my eyes and reality sets in.

I often have talks with people about the importance of a father in a daughters life. My dad was my best friend, confidant, and there was NEVER a doubt in my mind that my dad loved me. Ever. Id give anything to tell him one more time that I loved him.

On Feb. 4th at approx. 2:50pm, my dad left this earth and heaven gained an angel. On Feb 12, we laid him to rest. I sat at the cemetery staring at his coffin not believing that I was saying goodbye to my best friend and first love. I stared for what seemed like hours as people bent down to kiss me, hug me, and offer their condolences. I couldn't believe my dads body was in that coffin. It couldn't be him...Could it? Everything was a blur. I cried realizing that I would never or talk to him again until it was time for me to leave this earth. I couldn't grieve or express the burning ache in my heart like I wanted...he wouldn't want me to jeopardize his granddaughter growing inside my stomach. My spouse and I had just learned we were having a girl and he wa so happy. Although I was grown, I never stopped being his princess and he loved my oldest daughter to pieces. He would never get to meet his newest granddaughter.....I'm devastated that he will miss so many memories I thought I would share with him.

Today, Feb 13th, I feel like I lost a huge chunk of me. I feel empty inside and have to keep reminding myself my dad isnt here...that I cant just call him or go to see him. I'm heartbroken. I know time heals...but does it really?

I love you Daddy and you are always in my heart. #RIP

Klashaa's Seacret: What Men Dont Know About Skincare

2014-06-11T10:47:00.000-04:00

Most men I know think that men dont actually have to use products on their skin. The common trend for them is to use soap and hot water...in the shower..and thats it.

Thats not it! We need you to take care of your skin! Klashaa's Seacret has products designed for men that are easy to use, natural (no chemicals), and long lasting. See DermaNetwork's skin care tips below and suggested products.

Four Men's Skincare Tips and Suggested Treatments via DermaNetwork

1. Use a Good Cleanser
This applies to both your body and your face. A lot of regular soaps contain ingredients that can dry out your skin, and dry skin can crack and flake. Dry skin also shows wrinkles more easily, which makes you look older. Trade in regular soap for these alternatives:

For your face consider a gentle, exfoliating cleanser, such as a mild apricot scrub

Oily/Combo skin- Use our Exfoliating Apricot Scrub and Mud Soap for a clean and gentle way to cleanse and exfoliate skin.

Normal Skin/Dry Skin- Use our Exfoliating Peeling gel (great for sensitive skin), Cleansing Milk and Toner for a fresh feeling and gentle way to cleanse skin without drying out skin.

For your body, consider a moisturizing, non-soap body bar or body wash

Use our Mud Soap for face and body to cleanse and moisturize skin. It also tones skin as well as helps with common skin conditions.

For a fresh clean felling JUST FOR YOUR BODY use our Mineral Soap for a fresh and clean smell without drying skin.

*Soaps last 2-3 months, are made with preservatives, and paraben free.

2. Use High-Quality Shaving Supplies

Cheap razors, shaving creams and aftershaves can do your skin more harm than good. Cheap razors can scrape up your face, leaving your skin raw and irritated. Shaving creams and aftershaves can contain alcohols that dry out your skin. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, or go all hipster with a vintage straight razor to get a smoother shave. Just switch out your can of shaving cream for a moisturizing type and, if you choose to shave the old-fashioned way, just be sure to use a rich shaving soap to soften the bristles on your shaving brush.

Use our Men's Shaving Balm to calm skin irritations, skip the alcohol based aftershave, and moisturize skin. Cant beat the slight fresh scent also.

P.S. Women can use this too!

3. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

Klashaa's Seacret has GREAT SOLUTIONS for dry skin!

You know how your skin gets all itchy in winter, and your lips get chapped, and your knuckles split? That’s because your skin is dry. Cold dry air, followed by hot dry air, sucks the oil and moisture right out, making you look like a giant cornflake. And this doesn’t just happen in the winter; your skin can dry out year-round.
One of the best way to combat winter-dry skin is to apply lotion daily; several times a day if you need to. There are many unscented skin lotions available now, so that you don't have to worry about smelling "like a girl" after you moisturize. Here are some guidelines for moisturizing your skin:

In the winter you should use a thick formula; some companies even make winter formula lotions

Use our Salt & Oil scrub and Body butter to combat extremely dry skin.

During the warmer months you can use a lighter-weight lotion (like using different weight oils in your engine in the winter vs. summer)

Use our Salt & Oil scrub as well as our Body Lotion for a lighter touch to keep skin moisturized.

For best results, apply the lotion when your skin is slightly damp, so it will absorb it better

Apply our Salt & Oil scrub in shower for best result to body from neck down and after patting skin dry, finish off with out Body butter to lock in moisture.

There are several facial moisturizers on the market targeted toward men. Find the best one for your skin type: oily, dry, or combination (If you break out, or your skin tends to be shiny by midday, especially along your forehead and nose, you probably have oily skin, so choose an oil-free moisturizer)

We have several different moisturizers for all skin types!

4. Consider These Professional Skincare Options

Over-the-counter products and services are great, but if you have more serious skin issues, like acne scarring or unsightly moles, you may want to seek the help of a professional dermatologist. A dermatologist can help you with skin blemishes, minor scars, moles and discoloration, and sagging skin, using a variety of procedures including:

Chemical peels
Microdermabrasion
Laser skin resurfacing
Botox and injectable skin fillers

Men are increasingly seeking more professional procedures that refine their features or give them a more youthful look. If you want help with larger issues or seek to combat the signs of aging, a plastic surgeon can help with treatments that include:

Face, eye and brow lifts
Cheek and face implants
Rhinoplasty (nose reconstruction)

Try our anti-aging line including our BOTOX in a BOX for a PAINLESS way to combat wrinkles or retain results from previous surgical procedures. Watch it work on your crows feet, thinking lines, and frown lines.

Klashaa Personal Update: Closing out the New Year

2014-01-01T15:42:00.000-05:00

Happy New Years!!

A Brand new year is coming and Im excited to see what is in store for me. This year has been full of ups and downs, but Im excited about the new opportunities, people, and blessings. I've had some new obstacles too, but nothing I cant handle :)

I've been blessed with so many opportunities and I'm finally starting to feel comfortable with the changes in my life. I've grown a lot too and Im proud of myself. I've stopped letting people and their negativity infiltrate my life and stop letting peoples opinions stop me. I've always been resourceful and been able to bounce back on my feet. I'm comfortable being on my own and doing what I need to do (as far as grinding and finding better opportunities) so I can get where I need to be. Dont EVER let anyone tell you that you cant make it! YOU are your own SUCCESS and FAILURE. Your attitude determines all of this. I cant just sit back and let life pass me by or wait for things to fall in my lap. I have always searched for better and bigger because I KNOW I can handle it. I've had NUMEROUS people tell that I cant do the things that I want for myself (including an insecure ex..He told me I would never get anywhere w/o him - HA!!!) and I kept going regardless. Always leave them wondering "HOW DOES SHE DO IT?". I do it for me and I do it for my daughter..thats how. I do it because God has instilled skills and faith in me to do so. I do it because I know I can and I do it because you said I cant:) Just watch me lol!!

I will be opening up more on this blog soon as I am working with not only cancer charities, but charities for single moms and pregnant teens. If you know of any in MD and DC please contact me at klashaa@gmail.com.

With that being said, stay tuned :)

Happy New Years!! Dont make resolutions, just do it!!

So, I have alot of projects Im trying to work on at the same time and had to reorganize. I recently did a speech for the Completely Yours and Think Brown Inks "Mompreneur" event and Make A Wish Foundation fundraiser. I was a featured guest speaker and took part in their fashion show sponsored by Critique Unique Boutique. I had a ball working with Jon'yll Boyd and Natasha Brown. The event turned out to be a great success and I met many women entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners there. This event was VERY special to me and I plan on sharing with you guys the details in another post.

Besides that, I was also a vendor at the event and had mom come in and help me. Klashaa's Seacret is a high end luxury spa product line which boasts products from the Dead Sea. #Blackout Instagram users black out profile pics in support of Trayvon Martin @sybrinafulton #IAmTrayvonMartin

2013-07-12T11:07:00.000-04:00

This picture has haunted my mind since February 2012

Most of us have been keeping up the trial with baited breath waiting to see if viligante George Zimmerman will be indicted on the senseless killing of 17 year old Trayvon Martin.

This morning, Instagram users have united collectively to show their support of Trayvon Martin and his family as they go through re-living the last moments of their childs death once again. With hashtags such as #Justice4Trayvon #TrayvonMartin #Blackout most instagram users are urging their friends to follow their lead in showing support. Although, in reality, changing our profile pic wont make the jury come out in favor of a guilty verdict...I would like to show my support. Many celebrities such as Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx, and more have continued to be outspoken about this tragedy instead of letting it fade. I implore everyone to stay educated about this case REGARDLESS of what your stance is and use COMMON SENSE while looking at evidence.

At the END OF THE DAY, Sybrina Fulton lost her baby. As a mother, REGARDLESS your child is ALWAYS going to be your baby. Im sure she isnt the first mother to lose her child to violence, but we can make it so justice is served and hopefully she will be the LAST in this TYPE of scenario. We have to learn to stand up. This child fought for his life against a grown man he more than likely KNEW was going to kill him. He was alone, scared, and screaming for his life while he tried to fight off his attacker.

Wake Up and look at the FACTS yourself!!

#Justice4Trayvon

P.S. I will update this post shortly with links later. Follow me @klashaacom on Twitter for case updates.

George Zimmerman is Lying

2013-07-05T12:29:00.001-04:00

Of course we know George Zimmerman's testimony is full of lies and inconsistencies. Funny how the defense doesnt want these videos out.

Kevin Hart stars in Walking Dead @Kevinhartf4real @WalkingDead_AMC

2013-03-04T08:49:00.001-05:00

LMFAOOO! SO yall wasnt gonna tell me this happened?! I mean yall KNOW my obsession with The Walking Dead and I LOVE Kevin Hart! "Can we discuss the fact that Maggie just died?" LMFAOOOO! From the characters realistic outfits to Kevin Hart making everything racist had me cracking up!

Kanye West- Is He Losing It?

2013-02-26T09:18:00.001-05:00

Is Kanye West losing it?

Maybeeeee, its just me, but I found this video completely hilarious. Unless...Kanye is ACTUALLY losing his mind...then I would suggest someone rescue him from Kims clutches. She's a dreamkiller. Anyhoo, Im not sure why he lost his shizz...but its entertaining. *shrugs*

@NBCScandal So let's talk about my....... Love For @KerryWashington : 5 Reasons to Love Her

2013-02-21T21:38:00.000-05:00

When I say I LOVE this woman...I mean EVERYTHING about her! My fascination with this woman is REAL lol...

Klashaa's Five Reasons to LOVE Kerry Washington

1.She's first off headlining one of the BIGGEST shows of the year ABC's SCANDAL- Everybody's new fave obsession. This show is off the CHAIN! I mean the suspense and passion between Olivia Pope and Fitz (President) is off the hook. I mean the chemistry is just...unbelievably hot.

2.Seems VERY low key and down to earth, and is GORGEOUS! Besides being the spokesperson for Movada Watches...she is so classy, timeless, and elegant. Her feresh face is a highlight in Hollywood. I love it!

3.SUPER classy and fashionable! I love how even the most elegant dresses look superb on her body. She never looks overdone..everything fits perfectly. I love the way she carries herself!

4. Superb actress....She starred in small parts in the "Save the Last Dance" to "Ray" to "I Hate My Wife" and now the LEADING actress on one of the highest acclaimed shows "Scandal". All her roles are distinctly different and likeable...even when she's wrong (i.e.) Her current role she plays the lover of the VERY married President. Its wrong, but I cant help but like her for him

5. Her candidness- Her interviews are refreshing candid, and full of her quiet and strong personality. Her recent comments that she would have not done the show (Scandal) had the President been black stirred some contro versy up, but I totally agree. She would have quickly been lumped in to President Obama (who she campaigned for for the last two elections). I understand her stance on that. What do you guys think ?

All in all, I cant wait to see her in more projects and it definitely looks like Scandal is here to stay.

Melanie Fiona- Wrong Side of A Love Song

"Where were you when I needed a friend?"

Tried to play cool, but I was just playing myself. How did I become the wrong side of a love song?

I'll take the Omari Hardwikon the left thanks in advance! This MAN is GORGEOUS! I think every woman wants the relationship depicted on the left as it is ideal..and not just because its Omari Hardwick lol. Im also sure that every woman has been through the relationship on the right also. Definitely not a good feeling. The chemistry and message of this video is sad but relatable. Can you relate?
