The only thing that surprises us about Paris Hilton being named America's "Most Unpopular Personality" in America is that people still feel she's relevant enough to put on lists at all.
Yesterday, it was revealed that a survey named Betty White as the nation's Most Trusted Personality. Today, a similar poll revealed that 60% of people react negatively when they think of Paris Hilton. She is the most unpopular personality, with Charlie Sheen coming in a close second.

Selena Gomez is making a career change next weekend! The singer/actress/dancer is becoming a quadruple threat by adding reporter to her resume when she takes to the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Okay, so technically it's a black carpet. MTV is fancy like that.

Gomez will be joining Sway, Jim Cantiello and James Montgomery as they relay all the interviews and breaking news from the VMAs.

"After all of my years watching the VMA's, the pre-show has always been one of my favorite parts,"Gomez says in the MTV press release. It took Jennifer Lopez quite some time to confirm her return to American Idol. Plenty of outlets speculated that Lopez's hesitance to sign on had something to do with salary negotiations, but the performer recently told People that it had more to do with the way she felt at the end of the season.

"I got a little bit tired at the end with everything going on in my life at the time," Lopez said. Now that she's split from singer Marc Anthony, however, she seems optimistic about returning to the judges table, calling the show "one of the best things I've ever been involved with."

In the meantime, Lopez is working on What to Expect When You're Expecting with co-star Rodrigo Santoro. Sources close to the production claim that Jennifer has distanced herself from nearly everyone, refusing to talk to anyone directly and communicating "through her handler."

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, were together this morning to visit the Summerfield Community Center in Birmingham, England. Kate Middleton wore an Alexander McQueen outfit that was similar to the navy, military-inspired ensemble she sported in June to a ceremony honoring the Irish Guards. Today William and Kate spoke to responders who were active in helping citizens clean up after the riots earlier this month. Many royals have been busy this week speaking with those who offered aid in the wake of the crisis. Prince Harry chatted with emergency workers in Salford, near Manchester, yesterday, and Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles did something similar in Croydon on Wednesday. William and Kate began their visit by having a private meeting with the parents of three men who were killed at the start of the violet outbreak on Aug. 10, and then moved on to speak with local lawmakers and those at the community center. Kate said of the riots, "Looking at all the young people out and about on the streets, we couldn't believe it was happening in Britain.

Kate Middleton's wedding dress to be on display over the summer

"I think the thing that people will really see when they come here to view the dress is just how beautiful the detail is," said curator Caroline de Guitaut of the Alexander McQueen wedding dress, which spurred copycat designs around the world.
The gown, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, was kept secret until Middleton, formerly known as Kate Middleton and now referred to formally as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, married Prince William in London on April 29 in a ceremony watched by millions of people around the world, including more than 22 million viewers in the United States.
The exhibit will also include the veil, tiara, Alexander McQueen shoes and diamond earrings the Duchess of Cambridge wore when she married Prince William. The couple's multi-tiered 3-foot-high fruit wedding cake will be shown in the State Dining room.
The exhibit will be part of the "Summer Opening" of the palace, where visitors will be able to tour some of the state rooms.

The Royal couple recently finished a brief tour of North America last week where they began on June 30 in Canada and ended in Los Angeles on July 10.
Prince William and Kate met with celebrities at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Brits to Watch and went to Santa Barbara for a charity polo match. The Royal couple also met with kids at the Inner-City Arts in the impoverished area of Skid Row and visited veterans and military families at a job fair in Culver City.

Born at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, Berkshire, England, Middleton is the elder daughter of self-made millionaire Michael Middleton (born 1949), who was an airline officer at the time of her birth, and his wife, the former Carole Goldsmith, who was an air hostess. Her parents now own Party Pieces, a mail order company that sells children's party paraphernalia. She has a younger sister, Philippa ("Pippa") and a younger brother, James.
Middleton was raised in Bucklebury, Berkshire, in the south of England. She went to St Andrew's School, Pangbourne until she was 13 and then attended the public school Marlborough College (the same school William's cousin Princess Eugenie of York attends), where she passed eleven GCSEs and three A-level exams. Like the Prince, Middleton was a student at the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. She graduated in 2005 with a 2:1 (Upper Second-Class) MA (Hons) degree in History of Art.
In early 2006, it was rumoured that Middleton intended to found her own mail order company, selling high-end children's clothes. The couple were first seen publicly on a ski trip in Klosters in April 2004. During 2005, the British media began speculating that the Prince and Middleton would eventually become engaged.

No engagement occurred, and Middleton was not granted an allowance to fund this security.
In 2007, the couple briefly split after struggling to find time as Prince William pursued his army career. However, they soon came back together.

It was loaned to her by the present Queen, a tradition for Royal Weddings.

In the interview, Stewart reveals that although she never realized the "Twilight" franchise would become as big as it did, she's personally always had an interest in vampires. "I love me a vampire," she laughs. "I was 17 when I read Twilight, and at the time it was so perfect for me. The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can't. Last April, nearly 750 million people tuned in to watch Prince William and Kate Middleton become the Duke and and Duchess of Cambridge, and— as much as folks seemed genuinely ecstatic about the union—the biggest story of the day quickly became the bride’s immaculate white dress. The Alexander McQueen gown accentuated Middleton's small waist, which many speculated had been slimmed down for her big day.
However, when a royal wedding photo of the bride appeared on the May 9th collectors' issue of Grazia magazine, it looked as if Kate's waist wasn't only slim, it had nearly disappeared.

The cover quickly drew public outrage and a complaint about the inaccuracy of the photo was registered with Britain’s Press Complaints Commission. After an investigation (we're imagining they just looked at the photos!), the commission ruled that the magazine had in fact doctored the image. According to MSNBC, Grazia has confirmed the allegations.

A spokesperson at the magazine explained that the re-touching SNAFU all started after the Grazia staff were unable to locate a solo shot of Middleton in her wedding dress. Magazine editors had trouble finding an image of the Duchess where she wasn’t linked arm-in-arm with William. (You’ll notice her arm is reaching up in the photo on the left). So they decided to create something that wasn’t there. “This involved mirroring one of the duchess’s arms and an inadvertent result of the change was the slimming of her waist,” the Complaints Commission reported.
Grazia made an apologetic statement, saying, “we did not purposely make any alterations to the Duchess of Cambridge’s image to make her appear slimmer, and we are sorry if this process gave that impression.” Though the whole scandal is actually rather silly, in a world where magazines are constantly depicting real women as thinner, lighter-skinned, and more wrinkle-free than they actually are, we can't help but appreciate Grazia's owning up to its error.

In other royal wedding scandals, TLC’s new “Crazy About Pippa” documentary claims that Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa padded her now-famous backside to fill out her bridesmaid dress. Yes, Pippa’s butt has Twitter and Facebook appreciation pages, but “experts” told TLC, that her behind has never looked as impressive as it did at the royal wedding. Really? Perhaps it’s time we kindly step back, give the Middleton sisters a little privacy, and focus on our own body parts.
