The most used "internet slang" word

2012-10-09T13:45:00.000-07:00

Take a guess, what do you think that the most used "internet slang" word is?
You've probably guessed it, "lol".
"Lol" is used in many circumstances, and I've used it myself quite a few times. Sometimes we say it because we actually laugh ("LOL"), sometimes we say it as an icebreaker "Lol, hi!", and sometimes it becomes so habitual that we say it after every sentence or statement.

"Lol" is just that word that's used in just about all circumstances.
Haven't you met a person who constantly uses "lol", whether they're one of your Facebook friends, a person you follow on Twitter, a person you've played a video game with, a person you've chatted with on Omegle or another chat roulette site?
Do you think that you overuse "lol?"
I know at one point I did :).

Einstein's "God Letter" to be auctioned on eBay.

2012-10-08T13:19:00.003-07:00

Einstein's "God letter", which is something that Einstein wrote shortly before he died (about a year before his death), is going to be auctioned off on eBay for $3,000,000 (3 million USD).
Since 2008 it has been preserved in a controlled environment at an academic institution, and it includes the original envelope, stamp, and postmark.
Now, the letter is most likely going to be sold for more than $3,000,000, probably two to three times that amount!
Einstein's "God letter" will be auctioned from October 8th through October 18th (10 days).

Are you planning on buying it?
What are your thoughts on this letter?
What are your thoughts on the price?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Romney to cut Sesame Street/PBS funding?

2012-10-06T10:33:00.001-07:00

Seriously now?
That won't help the economy one bit... pfft...

The way I see it, without PBS, more children will end up watching "more mature" shows, they'll probably be watching MTV by the time they're like, 10 >_> (of course it's the parents responsibility to control what their children watch, but some parents just don't care.)

Then in turn we're going to have more "16 and pregnant" girls, ect...

Studies show most learning and behavioral traits come from the first few years of life.
Educational programming leads to higher literacy and better grades :).
Well... if Romney becomes president... we'll see what happens...

Man mistakenly sexts entire contact list; lands in jail

2012-09-28T16:47:00.000-07:00

Well that's... interesting.
Evans, a 24 year old swimming coach from Birmingham, England, accidentally sexted every on his Blackberry's contact list. This included 2 teenage girls, ages 13 and 14. The court decided to sentence him to 18 months in jail for "causing or inciting a child into sexual activity." His lawyers appealed to this decision in a court higher up in London, and Evan's sentence was reduced to a 9 month suspension... Not bad.

Read more about it here! : http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-57522384-71/oops-man-mistakenly-sexts-entire-contact-list-lands-in-jail/

iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S3 (Energy Consumption)

2012-09-28T14:11:00.001-07:00

Well isn't that amazing... if you charge the iPhone 5 every day for a whole year, it will only cost you ~$0.40!
That's right, only ~$0.40 for charging your iPhone 5 every day for a year.
The iPhone 5 consumes about 9.5 watt-hours to charge, which takes 1 hour and 50 minutes. Do the math using the cost of energy in your area, and see how incredibly low the cost is!

One of the iPhone 5's major competitors, the Galaxy S3, would take about $0.50 a year under the same circumstances.
