Acrassicauda 2015

Cynthia Paulson (Cynfully Luscious) from the Audio Sauna on Metal Nation Radio
talked with Marwan Hussein of the band Acrassicauda, on Saturday, January 24,
2015. Acrassicauda, a band who achieved fame through the critically acclaimed,
award winning documentary “Heavy Metal In Baghdad”, today is making their first
full-length album with the help of a Kickstarter crowd funding. The album,
called “Gilgamesh” will have 11 tracks and will be released in February of
2015. The band has released one single track called “Rise”, as of this date.
“Gilgamesh”, is a loose concept album, that breaks away from the old adage of
politics, exile, war, death and destruction, and brings into the forefront a
breath of fresh air into the lives of the band members and allows them to break
away from the past traumas and uncertainties of war torn Iraq. “Gilgamesh”,
promises to be one of the most anticipated albums of 2015. Previously, we have
heard their music from their debut EP released in 2010 called “Only the Dead See
the End of the War”.
