Raspberry Orange Scones

Make a basic scone recipe if you don't have one e-mail me at lav599@hotmail.com and I will send you mine. In the mix I put Raspberry Tidbits I got at Prepared Pantry I put in about a half cup but put what you would like. Any of the tidbits they have would be great in the scones. I baked it at 425 for 12 min. then I frosted it with orange frosting.

I first cook the meat tell its done then I put flour in the meat to help with the gravy let it cook for a little while to get rid of the flour taste. Then put milk in to make the gravy how ever you like it I also like to put a can of mushroom soup in it and salt and pepper to taste. but you don't have to use the soup. I use about a pound of meat. If you use Chicken I boil it first I use the whole chicken. Then I make a gravy with cooking oil and flour after the gravy is made I put the chicken in. Its all good over Biscuits. Then you can sever with any kind of potatoes and a Green salad or green vegetables.

Pastry for two crust
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup of flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
6 cups sliced peaches 6 to 8 med I used fresh but you can use frozen or canned.
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon of butter

Put peaches, sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon juice, nutmeg in a bowl mix together then put in pie crust put butter on top then the other pie crust. On top of the pie crust I rub milk or cream on top and then put sugar and cinnamon on top the cream makes the sugar and cinnamon stick to it and it make for a really nice pie crust don't forget to put holes in the top for the steam to get out.
Heat oven 425-45 minutes cool 2 hrs or more then eat yummy.

This cinnamon chip from Prepared Pantry are great. Now, my home baked muffins, coffee
cakes, desserts and even pancakes have a professional quality thanks to these delicious
cinnamon chips! There are more recipes on Prepared Pantry for cinnamon chips.
I even put them in oatmeal and there yummy,

Raggedy Ann Cinnamon Chip Muffins
These muffins are made with cinnamon baking chips. In
the high heat of the oven (the oven is set to 425 degrees),
the cinnamon chips melt leaving swirls of cinnamon
through the muffins. With all that melting cinnamon, the
tops are often roughhewn and ragged and hence the
name, Raggedy Ann cinnamon Chip Muffins. These are
very good muffins.
This recipe makes ten large, well-domed muffins or 12
smaller ones.

Ingredients

2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
one teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup whole rolled oats
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup Prepared Pantry or equal cinnamon chips

For the topping:
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease a muffin pan.

1. Whisk the eggs together in a small bowl. Add the buttermilk and vanilla. Set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, oats, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and
cinnamon together.
3. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the liquid ingredients. Stir only until combined.
Add the cinnamon chips.
http://www.preparedpantry.com/

4. Drop the batter into the greased muffin cups. Mix the two tablespoons sugar and 1/2
teaspoon cinnamon together. Spoon the cinnamon sugar over the muffins.
5. Place the muffin pan in the oven. Immediately turn the temperature down to 375 degrees.

Bake for 15 minutes or until done. Baking times will vary depending on how well your oven

Printable recipe
Cranberry Trifle

from Martha Stewart's Everyday Food
2 bags (12 ounces each) cranberries, fresh or frozen
2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons finely grated peeled fresh ginger (I cheated and used "Christopher Ranch" chopped ginger--find it in the produce section)
1 bar (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups heavy cream
2 homemade or store-bought all-butter pound cakes (12 ounces each), cut into 3/4-inch-thick slices (If using store bought, I recommend Sarah Lee)
Candied Orange Zest, for garnish (optional)

In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, 2 cups granulated sugar, ginger, and 2 cups water. Bring to a simmer over medium; cook until cranberries begin to burst, 8 to 10 minutes. Let compote cool completely.
Make cream filling: Using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese, brown sugar, remaining 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and vanilla on high until well combined. With mixer on medium, gradually add heavy cream; continue beating until soft peaks form.
Arrange 1/3 of the cake slices in a 3-quart serving dish. Spoon 1/3 of compote over cake; spread to sides of dish. Dollop 1/3 of cream filling over compote; spread to sides of dish. Repeat twice, ending with cream filling. Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours (or up to 1 day). Garnish with Candied Orange Zest, if desired

2 boxes refrigerated pie crust (4 total crusts) - If you are ambitious you can make your own from scratch.

1 large Dough (Piroshki) Press - Buy from http://www.preparedpantry.com/ for $5.99
1/2 chicken cut in small pieces
1/3 onion, chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup frozen peas
3 cups shredded broccoli slaw
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. ground pepper
1 cup shredded cheese of your choice

Chicken Gravy (make from packaged gravy and water) Set aside to use on top of pastry when served.

Mix all ingredients except cheese. Cut circles from dough with dough press. Fill one side with 3 tablespoons filling. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Spread water around 1/2 of circle edge with pastry brush for a better seal. Close dough press and press firmly to seal edges of the pastry.

Put on lightly oiled pan. Make egg/water mixture with 1 egg and 1 Tab. water. Beat well and brush on top of pastries. Put in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 12 Piroshkis. Delicious!!
