i attended the Leadership Convo, which was VERY funny i must say! i also went to the UP movie. i didnt really enjoy it but it was nice to see people around the screen having a good time. i also went to the Hawaii vs SJSU game but i left early because it was exteremely cold.!

think smart.
in order to get good grades in college, you must work to get good grades. its nothing like high school used to be. in college, you do not have teachers constantly on your back trying to help you pass a course. set goals, set educational structure charts and keep up with them. knowledge is everything.

as a college student, our tuition pays for every resource that is offered on campus. make sure you check them out, take advantage of them!

Spring Term

i was able to meet with an advisor to guide me through the process of picking classes this upcoming spring term. i met with valerie which i personally believe is a great person. she was very patient and helpful about the classes she recomended id take. i wasnt able to register for classes until Nov. 3oth which was verey late. i was not able to register for classes that i needed such as PE and COMM20. fortunately, i was able to sign up for classes like the english and edco etc. im looking forward to also taking some classes in my local community colleges though.

i FINALLY got my other laptop replaced. my laptop crashed and i was very upset without a computer or laptop for a whole 2 weeks almost. my art class was the cause of the dead of my poop toshiba. =[ the program we use, autocad, was too heavy for the driver on the laptop. fortunately, i was able to replace it with this cute MAC. it's my fist mac and I'm still getting used to it but so far I'm in loveee. anywho, i have a lot of work to catch up on.

so i have been thinking, i have alot of homework to do for my math class. the final project requires alot of work and it sucks because none of it has to do with actual math. and blogger, im not enjoying bloging as much as i was when i first started t blog. im all for tumblr now!

anywho, i think im going to enjoy the audio project!

ohh lord. what a weekend. holloween was DEAD this year but i still had a blast. school today was perfect also. i had 2 out of my 4 classed and i attended the leadership conversation thingy at the library. VERY productive. the questions that the audience presented shot the president in the foot a few times but there answers very extensively answered which is good; there was no lack of details. unfortunately my English class was canceled, that's my favorite meet. however, it gave me time to chill and relax. I'm also looking forward to Wednesday, it will be another great day. =]

today was a fun day! class was interesting. we talked about how to prepare for tests and whatnot. my video team and i also started to film today. i didnt feel like we wer very productive in terms of having enough to work with but i think that we will be picking it up for next week. ive also been working on my essay which im really excited about. =]

today my vid. group (the yellow star ninjas) got together to plan for the filming. i had a lot of fun coming up with new ideas of what to include. im looking forward to starting the project and im curious as to what the outcome will be. aside from that, i had a fun day today. i hated the humid weather but i guess its not gna be sunny for much longer, its about that time of the year.. =[

im REALLY looking forward to the video project. the more me and my group talk about it, the faster i want to get started on it. we planned to meet up and act a fool. wer going to do random things all over san jose state and do silly random clips on subjects listed on the script outline. our main filming locations wll be Joe West, Bricks, but we will be all Around campus.

for the scholarly paper,m going to interview my mom. recently, she has started to use her laptop and more advanced electronic devices to communicate long distance via email. she mainly uses it to talk to her family around the country and across borders as well as paying bills..

- how she grew up without technology

- what are the advantages and disadvantages of using technology

College contains many portals to success, one being making friends.
Making New Friends means being successful. Its a way of getting to know others and making lifelong friends, getting to know yourself, going out and having fun. its even a great way of networking and getting help wherever you need it. with that said, consider the following:
_go out to school wide social events, take the time to read the flyers people put in your hands
_sit with a different person in class and start up small talk
_join a club
_go to movie nights
_make great elevator talk
_go greek!
_a great way to meet fun people is by going to the sporting events!

OMG! that is indeed a huge library. it comes in handy when u need ur room and space to work and study. i do see myself hanging out there alot. the presentation that that library guy gave us was very helpful. he went over all of the resources we will need to do pretty much and research assignment at SJSU. things like how to find books, article, etc using the MLK website and whatnot as well as how the library account and book order works at sjsu. For the most part, i caught on all of the things im REALLY going to need but alot of the things he was saying wasnt all that usefull so i slowly started to drift my attention elsewhere. -_-

today was a great day for me!
im not sure why, but it felt like today alot of my questions and/or concerns were answered. I finally got the add code for my math class which im glad. the MUSE class feels like were coming along-- i liked the group activity and im excited for the scavenger hunt. my English class; i enjoyed it alot today. and my art class, although its VERY long and it runs late, i love it, i intend to major in interior desing and architecture and taking that art course will satisfy the basics that i need to know for the classes i'll be taking in the future . i know it will eventually get annoying, but for now, im really enjoying the work load.(excluding the rediculous about of math work last assigned) =] aha. also, i was born and raised in the bay but im not really familiar with San jo area and the good spots to eat at. however, my best friend Justina and a good friend of mine, julius aka Peanut, ahah, we went to La Victoria to eat today. the food i had was good nd all but i didnt really enjoy it because i had already ate, oh and i have a bumb a dollar, so im happy. . good good day =]

College Girl: day 2

i only have class 2 days a week, Monday and Wednesday. I like it this way because it leaves the rest of the week to study and prepare for class as well as for work and whatnot. On wednesday, i started my math class, i missed it on Monday only because i had not added into it. it seems like its going to be easy, but i guess its t soon to tell. I love sjsu, the weather is perfect and i really enjoy the student union. the surrounding area of sjsu is also very convenient. im loving school, so far.

College Girl: day 1

My first day in college was very successful. I highly enjoyed the environment on campus from the moment i stepped foot out my car. There was a lot going on, and a lot to look at. I didn't have a hard time finding any of my classes and once in them, i noticed everyone was really friendly. For now, it seems like ill be able to survive the work load. What im really excited about it making new friends and getting to know my teachers. one thing that i will be concerned about, now and later, is parking! everything is always packed. i carry around a large laptop, its not easy to walk around with this thing when i find myself having to park far away from school. However, my first day of class was great. =]
