C5

Nokia C5 – a compact smartphone running the Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system. The Nokia C5 is very well-made. Its keys are very easy and pleasant to use, while the back side features a matel battery cover.

The display is 2.2-inch with QVGA resolution, but unfortunately its viewing angle is not good.

Apple to release iPhone 4g

One of my friend told that apple is releasing its new mobile named iPhone 4 g in india, Is it true. At this point, it’s not clear which carrier, if any, will offer a subsidy on the device.

The move doesn’t come as much of a surprise — when Google debuted the Nexus One with HTC earlier this month, they indicated it wouldn’t be the only phone in which they worked directly with a manufacturer and sold the device direct to consumers via the Web.

That said, Motorola already put significant resources behind a major Android-based phone of its own – Droid – and some viewed the Nexus One launch as a smack in the face of Motorola. But apparently the handset manufacturer is still willing to try Google’s direct-to-consumer approach, even as early Nexus One sales estimates look disappointing.

XiliSoft Mobile Phone Manager

Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager acts as ideal PC freeware for mobile phone data management, which can synchronize your mobile phone with PC to access mobile data and realize phone data transfer, restoration, copy and other mobile managements between your computer and phone. This makes the Pixon 12 a perfect convergence of a mobile phone and a standard digital camera. These details were revealed in a press photo that popped up and looking at that photo its seems that only Koreans will get their hands on the Pixon 12 with 3X optical zoom, as Anycall is the name under which Samsung sells its mobile phones in Korea. This new upgraded version of the Pixon 12 will be hit with the shutterbugs thanks to its 3X optical zoom and dual Xenon flash, which makes it super cool. The Pixon 12 (without the 3X optical zoom) was recently launched in India.

Very Very Affordable Samsung Corby Comes to India

Samsung has launched its affordable, social media focused Corby in India. Few days back Samsung also announced the Samsung Corby Txt and the Corby Pro but they are yet to come to India. The Corby range of phones have been positioned by Samsung as social media focused phones. By affordable, I mean its one of the cheapest touch screen handset in India from a mainstream mobile phone OEM. The Corby will retail in India at a price tag of INR 9,600. The kind of features that Corby offers looks impressive on paper with 2.8 inch QVGA screen powered by Samsung's TouchWiz UI, gesture control and one finger zoom. The phone does not have Wi-Fi but has EDGE and GPRS connectivity, Bluetooth (A2DP), 2 meg snapper, microSD card support, FM radio with RDS and the most unique feature of the phone is that it supports live feeds from sites like Twitter, Facebook and mySpace. I guess this phone will do good in the Indian market, thanks to its cheap price tag and social media support. Social networking and micro blogging is on the rise in India and Samsung its seems is the first one in India to take advantage of this situation. This research has been made by Juniper Research. There will be 180 million Symbian powered handsets in 2014. Currently there are 87 million Symbian powered handsets. Apart from these main three, handsets powered by open source OS Android and LiMo. Recently Symbian Foundation also entered into the open source mobile OS race and faces competition from Android and LiMo to start with. Though Symbian is a leading Smart phone OS overall it is facing competition from RIM and Apple's iPhone OS, which are steadily eating into its share. Symbian is backed by the market leader Nokia and also by a strong developer community; these two might be the reasons why Symbian handset shipments will double by 2014.

Buy Metallica Live Recordings via LiveMetallica iPhone App

Metallica, one of my favorite rock bands has fallen to the immense popularity of the touch screen wonder, the iPhone. The rock band has started offering Metallica's Live Recording through an iPhone App.The LiveMetallica iPhone App, which comes for $0.99 has been launched as a part of their ongoing World Death Magnetic Tour. Once you have the iPhone App on your phone, you can download DRM free recording of their live performances immediately after the show ends. Users can also buy the MP3 directly from the app, without the help of the iTunes Store. The App works in-sync with the LiveMetallica Website. You can also listen to sample songs and buy them within the app, which i guess is a cool feature for an iPhone app to have. Mobile TV gives you an option of watching live shows and serials on your mobile phone. The 3G speeds of MTNL are supposed to reach 3.6 mbps on this device, in real world we need to see. Other features include a 3 meg snapper, dual camera options for video calling, 8 GB memory support, Facebook/Orkut and Nimbuzz Social Networking Application. A high cost factor has always been attached to the 3G technology but the Micromax H360 will be retailing at a jaw dropping price of INR, 5,499, which I think is a killer pricing for the operator branded handset game.

Samsung Blue Earth Features

Samsung announced the launch of Samsung Blue Earth, an environmentally friendly mobile phone with a full touch screen. With fully integrated support for Facebook, Twitter, Skype, popular email clients and instant messaging, the Mini 3G follows on from the well-regarded INQ1 and Skypephone handsets.

It shares many features in common with the upcoming INQ Chat 3G, but the Mini 3G is a much simpler and more conventional device. There's a 2.2" 240 x 320 pixel display, a very basic 2 megapixel camera and 3.5G support, although there's no WiFi or GPS on this model.

Media synchronisation is done using doubleTwist which gives a high degree of flexibility with music (including iTunes), video and stills files. The media player can deal with most media types except Windows Media, although we think that doubleTwist may help with converting these to a format that the mini 3G can deal with.

The social networking applications are fully integrated into the phone, unlike some other devices where they are very obviously an add-on. Additional Java and BREW applications can be downloaded, and the INQ Mini 3G can switch between them using a dedicated key.

Despite the name, the Mini 3G isn't particularly "Mini" as it is the same size as most conventional monoblock phones. At 103 x 46 x 13mm, it will certainly be a pocket friendly device. This is a 3.5G capable device which can also be used as a tethered modem on a laptop.

Looks are a bit generic, but it's a more attractive phone than the INQ1 and it certainly matches the Chat 3G in terms of branding.

INQ Mobile say that the Mini 3G should be available during Q4 2009, presumably on the 3 network. No pricing was given, but we think that this will form part of a good value package when it hits the shops.

Sony Ericsson Jalou Announced as a Fashion Phone

A little while ago we had got reports of an apparent Sony Ericsson handset that was called the Jalou that was supposed to be a touchscreen handset featuring a Symbian S60 5th edition OS. However just today Sony Ericsson has dispersed with that with the announcement of a new fashion flip/clamshell handset called the Jalou. The image showcased may have been wrong but at least we know that the handset exists and Sony Ericsson's latest style statement is only 73mm long.

“Structured forms, intricate corners, hidden depths and jewel accents are set to be some of the hottest fashion trends in 2010. You can also expect to see deep and natural jewel colors on the runway next year. Jalou reflects these trends with its delicate facet-cut diamond shape design, clean and expressive lines and variety of different shine and matt finishes, that give depth to the handset,” comments Charles Hunt, Jalou head designer at Sony Ericsson. “The design team wanted the handset to reflect beauty found in nature. A fast-click instantly opens the contacts profile; a long-click opens a live chat window.

These updates work alongside the auto-reconnect feature guaranteeing seamless connectivity, by instantly reconnecting whenever a connection is lost. The smart buddy list displays information in an intelligent way, combining avatar and presence information in one, with community icon and resource information, if the person is online on the mobile or PC, at the same line.

Integrating Skype IM is unique to Nimbuzz, which already supports multiple communities including Facebook, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, ICQ and many more. Clickable URLs that make for a multi media chat experience, and the additional support for local social networks such as StudiVZ, Hyves, Gadu Gadu, and Giovani, add to the feature list.

Evert-Jaap Lugt, founder and CEO of Nimbuzz said, “Mobiles are no longer just about hardware but software. Nimbuzz increases the value of the handset and enriches the user experience. Our Android version is a perfect example of what we do best, integrating Nimbuzz’s award winning service to bring the best out of each operating system and handset.”

The free app is available to download from the Android Marketplace.
