The Health and Safety Committee is the planning and policymaking group in all matters pertaining to safety and health. <br /> <br /> <span style="color: #3d85c6;">The principal duties of the Health and Safety Committee are:</span> <br /> <ul><li>Plans and develops accident prevention programs.</li> <li>Directs the accident prevention efforts in accordance with the safety programs, safety performance and government regulations.</li> <li>Conducts safety meetings.</li> <li>Reviews reports of inspection, accident investigations and implementation of program.</li> <li>Submits reports to the manager on its meetings and activities.</li> <li>Initiates and supervises safety training for employees.</li> <li>Develops and maintains a disaster preparedness plan and organizes such emergency units as may be necessary.</li> </ul><br /> <div><span style="color: #3d85c6;">Membership</span></div><br /> <div><span style="color: #3d85c6;">Chairman</span> - The chairman of the Safety Committee will be the personnel holding the highest position of the establishment (General Manager, Area Manager, Toolpusher, Rig Manager)</div><br /> <div><span style="color: #3d85c6;">Secretary </span>- Safety Officer</div><br /> <span style="color: #3d85c6;">Members </span>- (1) All managers, department heads or supervisors of each department. (2) Nurse, medical officer or medic. (3) Pollution Control Officers or Environmental Officers. (4) Employee representatives.<br /> <br /> Each member shall establish and maintain liaison with the Safety Committee for their respective departments. Committee members will represent and speak for their Department on all Environment and Safety matters.<br /> <br /> Agenda of the meeting will be prepared by the Safety Officer and approved by the committee chairman.
