Update your iPhone 5 using iTunes

Ensure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.

Connect your device to your computer using the included USB cable.
After iTunes opens, select your device when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
Click "Check for Update" in the Summary pane to check for available updates.

If an update is available, iTunes prompts you to download and install the update. Do not disconnect your device until the update has finished.

Update your device wirelessly

Make Sure your device is connected to a power source ( Charger or PC Port with USB ). To avoid potential data costs connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update. iOS will automatically check for available updates.

If an update is available* you can tap Download to download the update.
After the download has completed tap Install to update your iOS.

If you leave the update to download in the background, once the download has finished you will receive a notification saying an update is available for your device. Tapping Details will take you to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap Install Now to install the iOS update. If you decide to leave the installation for later Settings will display notification badge until the update has been installed.

How to Jailbreak Your Apple TV 2G Using Seas0nPass (Windows) [5.2]

Instructions on how to perform an untethered jailbreak of your second generation Apple TV using Seas0nPass for Windows.

*Before beginning this tutorial you must have already installed the Microsoft .Net Framework which can be found here.

Step One
Download the latest version of SeasonPass from here.

Step Two
Extract the archive you downloaded. Then double click the extracted application to launch it.

Step Three
Click the Create IPSW button from the main screen.

Step Four
Seas0nPass will now download the latest Apple TV firmware file

Step Five
Seas0nPass will create a custom IPSW file for you.

Step Six
Once your custom IPSW file has been created, Seas0nPass will ask you to connect the Apple TV to your computer via a micro-USB cable and use the remote to put it into DFU mode by holding MENU and PLAY/PAUSE for 7 seconds. The power cable should be unplugged during this process. Tip: Connect the usb cable and press the buttons down at the exact same time.

Step Seven
Once your Apple TV has been detected in DFU mode, Seas0nPass will upload some files, ask you if its okay to automatically restore firmware, and then beginning restoring to the new firmware.

Step Ten
That's it! Your Apple TV is jailbroken!

How to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 with evasi0n 1.4

Evasion 1.4 was just released with support for the recently released iOS 6.1.2, and we’ve got the details on how to use it to jailbreak your iDevice of choice. Although iOS 6.1.2 doesn’t bring any new features to the table, there is a bug fix that makes the upgrade worth it.
Take a look inside as we show you how to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 with evasi0n 1.4. This tutorial is for the Mac, but the same principal applies across all computing platforms.

How to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2

Notes: As always, before we get started, there are a few things to keep in mind here. First, read our jailbreak preparation post. It covers a few vital ideas that should make your life easier when it comes to managing and maintaining your jailbreak.
Be sure that your device’s passcode lock is disabled. The passcode lock can interfere with the jailbreak process. Also, make sure that when you upgraded to iOS 6.1.2, it was done, not via an OTA update, but via an iTunes update. While it’s possible that it will work, OTA updates have caused known problems in the past with regard to jailbreaks, it’s best to just play it safe. Okay, let’s get started!

Step 1: Head over to our download page, and download evasi0n 1.4. The downloads are available for Mac, Windows, or Linux.
Step 2: Save the evasi0n app to your desktop, and run it.
Step 3: Connect your iOS device to evasi0n, and ensure that evasi0n detects your device. Evasi0n should work with any iOS 6 firmware from iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1.2. In this case, you will be using iOS 6.1.2.
Step 4: Click the jailbreak button, and the jailbreak process will begin. Be patient, as this takes a while. You will notice your device reboot several times throughout the entire process. The main thing is just to be patient.
Step 5: Eventually, evasi0n will ask you to unlock your device, and tap the Jailbreak icon on your Home screen once. Follow these instructions, ensuring that you tap the icon only one time, and then leave the device alone and let it continue.
Step 6: The evasi0n app will complete its course, and you will be able to click the Exit button. The iOS device, however, still needs to finish up a few additional steps, so again, be patient and don’t touch your device.
Step 7: Eventually, the jailbreak will finish, and you can unlock your iOS device, and open the Cydia app on your Home screen. Cydia will need to initialize, which takes about 1 to 2 minutes. After the initialization is complete, the device will respring again.
Step 8: Reopen Cydia, select Hacker, and begin enjoying your newly jailbroken iOS device running iOS 6.1.2.

evasi0n iOS 6.x Jailbreak Untethered Errors And Fixes [FAQ]

As we are covering the official evad3rs updates on this website, lots of emails are stacking up on my email account related to errors and troubleshooting the evasi0n jailbreak tool. As the evad3rs have been very busy compiling the evasi0n jailbreak for all of us, they have had very less time to deal with all the errors that are popping around with the use of this tool. As I have tested this tool, overall it goes on pretty smoothly without any errors. Hit the jump to fix and troubleshoot the errors related to evasi0n tool.

Error 1: Cydia not loading up and cydia packages not installing

Cydia related errors in evasi0n are currently happening due to intense server overload on the cydia's servers. Saurik is onto it and is busy fixing this issue. It is not caused by some technical problem in your idevice rather it is occuring simply due to millions of people are trying to access Cydia at the same point of time. See this tweet from Saurik below..

Update : Cydia Telesphoreo repo has been fixed, you can access it now if you still can’t, change your DNS to Google’s 8.8.8.8 server and try to access it again.

Error 2: Does evasi0n support OTA update

No, If you updated to iOS 6.1 via OTA (over-the-air update) it won't work on your idevice. Here's a quick solution :

Step 1: Firstly make a full backup of your device
Step 2: Update to iOS 6.1 using iTunes

Error 3: evasi0n does not work and fails everytime

It is happening because you have a passcode enabled on your idevice or you have left iTunes running during the jailbreaking process. Here's the fix..

Disable the passcode lock on your idevice
Don't touch your computer while evasi0n is running

Error 4: evasi0n gets stuck on “patching kernel”

If your idevice gets stuck on displaying “patching kernel” don't worry, be patient as it takes time as long as 15 minutes . If it still doesn't progress, press Power+Home button for a long time to force a reboot. Then again jailbreak your idevice from the very beginning. See the tweet by pod2g below.

Error 5 : evasi0n doesn't recognize my idevice

Although it's working fine on every idevice as I have personally tested it. Make sure your idevice is supported, see the official list below.

As of now, any generation of the Apple TV is not supported. If it still doesn't work, restart your computer system or try to switch the USB ports, as they can cause havoc sometimes.

Error 6: evasi0n is stuck on "finding offsets"

This part of the jailbreak process takes a bit of time like around 8-10 minutes. If you still see no progress, do a Power+Home button force reboot your idevice.

Error 7: Jailbreak button appears to be grey/disabled, when the idevice is connected

This occurs because your iTunes backup is not protected by a password. You need to re-enable password protected backups again once the jailbreak process gets over.

Error 8: Weather app bug

If you have an iPad, an extra Weather app will appear after the jailbreak is completely finished. It is just hidden in a .plist extension configuration file. The evad3rs dev team member David Wang aka planetbeing is currently working on this bug fix with a Cydia patch obviously. See the below tweet from musclenerd...

Error 9: idevice freezes and gets stuck at Apple logo on booting

This problem is because of a random boot bug or it might be occuring due to an incompatible tweak. You can use any of the 3 solutions given below..

Hold Power+Home buttons to force reboot your idevice and it should work normally with the next reboot.
If it still doesn't work, try increasing the volume while booting
Uninstall Activator and Sbsettings tweaks

Error 10: idevice displaying wrong time zone and time after evasi0n jailbreak

As we are always updating this article with latest errors and bug fixes. We have been seeing a new bug that involves the wrong time zone and time after using evasi0n tool. To fix the incorrect time error toggle “Set Automatically” option to OFF. For the wrong time zone, follow this method below...

Step 1: Navigate to Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically > ON

Step 2: Now you need to go back again to Settings > Privacy > Location Services (ensure it’s set to on) > System Services > Setting Time Zone. Set this option to ON.

Error 11: Cydia appears small after rebooting (quarter screen bug)?

This error or bug is known as the quarter screen bug. This bug looks like this on an iPad and iPhone (shown below).

A lot of users are reporting this quarter screen bug. The root cause of this is that you might have installed an tweak incompatible with iOS 6 running on your idevice. Follow the method given below to solve the issue.

Step 1: Firstly we need to disable all the tweaks. Reboot your idevice while holding the volume up button. .

Step 2: Launch Cydia and uninstall all iOS 6 incompatible tweaks.

If this doesn't work for you, to use Cydia again, just respring your idevice. However, this fix is not a permanent solution, it will again cause the same problem after a reboot.

It is 'Illegal' to Unlock iPhones Purchased After January 2013

The U.S. Library of Congress has ruled that jailbreaking the iPad and unlocking iPhones purchased after January 2013 is no longer legal.

Jailbreaking iPhones is still allowed under exemptions to the DMCA that will be in effect for three years.

Computer programs that enable wireless telephone handsets to execute lawfully obtained software applications, where circumvention is accomplished for the sole purpose of enabling interoperability of such applications with computer programs on the telephone handset.

This exemption is a modification of the proponents’ proposal. It permits the circumvention of computer programs on mobile phones to enable interoperability of non-vendor- approved software applications (often referred to as “jailbreaking”), but does not apply to tablets – as had been requested by proponents – because the record did not support it.

Unlocking
In addition the new exemptions only allow for phones you already have, as well as those purchased before January, to be unlocked. Phones purchased after January 2013 can only be unlocked with the carrier's permission.

Computer programs, in the form of firmware or software, that enable a wireless telephone handset originally acquired from the operator of a wireless telecommunications network or retailer no later than ninety days after the effective date of this exemption to connect to a different wireless telecommunications network, if the operator of the wireless communications network to which the handset is locked has failed to unlock it within a reasonable period of time following a request by the owner of the wireless telephone handset, and when circumvention is initiated by the owner, an individual consumer, who is also the owner of the copy of the computer program in such wireless telephone handset, solely in order to connect to a different wireless telecommunications network, and such access to the network is authorized by the operator of the network.

This exemption is a modification of the proponents’ proposal. It permits the circumvention of computer programs on mobile phones to enable such mobile phones to connect to alternative networks (often referred to as “unlocking”), but with limited applicability. The Library of Congress rejected a proposed exemption that would allow for jailbreaking of game consoles.

Because the Register determined that the evidentiary record failed to support a finding that the inability to circumvent access controls on video game consoles has, or over the course of the next three years likely would have, a substantial adverse impact on the ability to make noninfringing uses, the Register declined to recommend the proposed class.

This is quite unfortunate news for those in the jailbreak and unlocking community. We'll keep you update with any more developments.

Change Your iPhone’s And iPad’s Carrier Logo Without A Jailbreak [Windows]

CustomCarrierLogo allows you to customize your iOS device’s carrier logo to something totally different. This is limited to devices that can support data/phone service, so no WiFi-only devices. Some carriers might not be supported because they do not use images for their logos (e.g. Sprint). The good part is that CustomCarrierLogo works WITHOUT a jailbreak on any firmware, so iPhone 5’s and iPad LTE’s work. If you do not see your device/carrier within CarrierEditor in the drop down lists, it means that your device is incompatible.

1. Download CustomCarrierLogo
2. Unzip the file
3. Load CustomCarrierLogo
4. Click ‘Let’s Get Started’

5. On your iOS devices go to Settings > General > About > scroll down until you find ‘Carrier’

6. Go back to CustomCarrierLogo, enter your carrier version, choose your iOS device and carrier and choose what type of logo you want. An image or text.

7. Click ‘Create IPCC Carrier Bundle’
8. You will notice two new files on your desktop. In this case ‘ATT_US_13.3.ipcc’ and ‘ATT_US_original.ipcc’.

9. Plug-in your device to your PC and load iTunes.
10. Hold Shift and click on ‘Restore iPhone’.

11. From the drop-down menu in the bottom right corner, slect ‘iPhone/iPad carrier configuration file ( .ipcc )’ and select the appropriate .ipcc file ( not the original )

12. Reboot your iPhone ( or turn on/off airplane mode )
13. Enjoy.

AT&T’s LTE network expanded to 10 new markets

Some speedy new 4G LTE networks are in place around the U.S.
Which is never a bad thing.
Per AppleInsider, AT&T this week announced that its high-speed 4G LTE network — compatible with Apple’s latest iPhone 5, iPad and iPad mini — has launched in 15 new markets, and also expanded coverage in a handful of other locations.

A total of 10 new locations with 4G LTE reception were announced by AT&T on Friday:
- Boise, Idaho
- Boulder, Colo.
- Bowling Green, Ky.
- Harrisburg, Pa.
- Hartford, Conn.
- Lancaster, Pa.
- Lexington, Ken.
- New Haven, Conn.
- Ogden, Utah
- Providence, R.I.
Those 10 are joined by five other markets that AT&T announced have LTE connectivity on Tuesday of this week:
- Green Bay, Wis.
- Melbourne, Fla.
- Oxford, Miss.
- Springfield, Mass.
- Tucson, Ariz.
Finally, AT&T also announced this week that its existing 4G LTE network has expanded in a handful of markets. They are:
- Middlesex County, N.J.
- Phoenix, Ariz.
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- Los Angeles, Calif.

The latest expansions are the most significant update to AT&T’s network since mid-November, when the company’s 4G LTE coverage was extended to 24 new markets, including Denver, Colo., and Columbus, Ohio.

In all, AT&T’s 4G LTE network has been launched in 124 markets. The company plans to reach 250 million people by the end of 2013, and 300 million by the end of 2014.

Find IMSI Number for Your iPhone

We need to start from the ( SIM ) "Subscriber Identification Module" is a chip that stores:

International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI)
ICCID – unique serial number
Security authentication and ciphering information
Info that is stored temporarily and stored to your local network
List of services available for user
Personal identification number (PIN)
Personal unblocking code (PUK)

How it works: Your own iPhone sends IMSI number to the current network while registering. IMSI number allows network hardware to recognize the subscriber, to prevent the interception IMSI is sent as rarely as it's possible. Sometimes rather than IMSI number, the device sends TMSI (Temporarily generated code for mobile subscriber identity).

NOTE: You should never to confuse IMSI and IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity, it's 15-digit number which is unique for each device). Your IMEI number is additionally provided for the carrier by signing up in network. Also, IMEI number can be simply used for tracking phones or blocking stolen devices.

But you are not able to find your IMSI number (or you don't understand what it really is), then just keep reading this post. IMSI number is the original SIM card number, it includes 15 digits which can be split in three groups:

MCC (Mobile Country Code) – first 3 digits of IMSI code.
MNC (Mobile Network Code) – fourth and fifth for EMEA countries (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) or fourth, fifth and sixth digits from the code for the other (NAR) countries.
MSIN (Mobile Station Identification Number) – the last 9 /10 digits from the IMSI code.

MCC and MNC digits from 1 to 5 / 6 (colored with red and yellow) present the network. Regional operators could be calculated by last 8 / 9 digits (colored with blue and yellow) also known as MSIN code.

How to locate where is IMSI stored locally:

All of the IMSI bundles are saved in /System/Library/Carrier Bundles. For example, if you are using AT&T SIM, his identify name will be ATT_US.bundle var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles. Now iOS will generate shortcut to that folder that will look like this: var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundle.bundle.

You should use two tested methods to locate your iPhone's IMSI number:

1st method is to check your IMSI by running minicom in terminal:

AT+CIMI

After that press Enter, now your IMSI number will be displayed.

One mechanism if you have access to terminal software and can send AT commands (see: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/85636/Introduction-to-AT-commands-and-its-uses ) to your mobile device, the command: AT+CIMI will return the IMSI as long as the SIM is initialized (will not return IMSI if the SIM is locked).

How to find your original carrier within IMSI number:

Backup your Data.

Download the firmware.

Download the right firmware for your device. If you have an iPhone, please read the information carefully to understand if you need the Normal or Unlocked version of Whited00r. Jailbreak & Unlock at iOS 6.0 (with both gevey & ultrasn0w)

Are you planning of upgrading iOS on your iPhone 3gs or 4g ?
And are you scared to loose your unlock?
Or if you have upgraded your 3gs to 6.0 and don't no now how to unlock it ?

Then, Let's get through this process.

Jailbreak iPhone 3gs/4

Download the latest version of redsn0w .
Download official iOS 6 IPSW for iPhone 4 (GSM) or iPhone 3GS directly from Apple.
Launch redsn0w and go to Extras > Custom IPSW.
Point to the IPSW you just downloaded in Step 2. If you have a 3GS, you will be prompted whether you have a 3GS with old or new bootrom. Select appropriately.
Redsn0w will start building custom iOS 6 while removing the files that will update your baseband. Once completed, you will find this file on the same file path as the original IPSW with the prefix “NO_BB…” followed by the IPSW file name.
Be sure to pwn DFU your iPhone with redsn0w by going to Extras > Pwned DFU. Simply follow the on-screen instructions.
Once your iPhone is in DFU, launch iTunes and press Shift+Restore (Windows) or Option+Restore (Mac). Be careful not to select the wrong IPSW during restore!If you get error 3194, you need to edit your hosts file. See here.
Wait for it to finish. Your iPhone will attempt to reboot and may stuck on the Apple logo with empty progress bar due to tethered jailbreak.
Launch redsn0w again > Extras > Just Boot. Follow on screen instructions.
Your iPhone will boot up normally and is activated .If not activated you can activate through redsn0w through jailbreak button and then again repeat tether process.

Today we’re pleased to release redsn0w version 0.9.15b1, with significant new features supporting restoring to older firmware no longer being signed by Apple. For brevity, we’ll list most of the new features in bullet form. For more details, please feel free to drop by our comments section, or check out any upcoming guides on tutorial sites like http://iclarified.com

First, the high-level new feature list:

restore from any 5.x iOS to any other (up, down or the same) 5.x iOS on all devices as long as you have the correct blobs (see more below)
Cydia now included in the tethered 6.0 jailbreak on A4 devices
automatically “Just Boot” tethered when qualifying A4 device connects in DFU mode
untethered 6.0 jailbreak on old-bootrom 3GS
untethered 6.0 hactivation on any 3GS or iPhone4
directly restore pre-A5 devices to earlier firmware — no more complicated 15-step how-to’s with stitching, iTunes errors, and “hosts file” concerns
fetch new signed blobs for any IPSW (present or future — no redsn0w update required) using Extras->SHSH Blobs->New
block the BB update for any 3GS or iPhone4 restore (past, present, or future — no redsn0w update required) using Extras->Even More->Restore
deactivate any iPhone, useful for testing your “official” unlock status through iTunes. (Please only deactivate your own iPhone!)
activation status shown on “Even more” page
significantly more (very nerdy) info returned by “Identify” button when device is in Normal mode
tethered jailbreak of ATV2 supported (but the only thing available for it is the SSH2 custom bundle available here — no Cydia yet. Must use “Select IPSW” for tethered boot of ATV2 for now).
auto-exit WTF mode for older devices with broken buttons
any time a set of blobs is fetched remotely (from Apple or Cydia), redsn0w also saves them locally (and will check there first if you click “Local”)
for your future restoring convenience, you should also submit all of your past and present TinyUmbrella blobs to Cydia if you haven’t done so yet. Resubmitting is okay and won’t cause conflicts.

Here are more details on the iOS5-to-iOS5 restores for A5+ devices. (Note: pre-A5 devices don’t have these restrictions — just follow the redsn0w prompts during the restore).

1. redsn0w now lets you restore an A5+ device from any iOS5 to any other iOS5 as long as you have correct 5.x blobs for the starting (current) and ending points of the restore

APtickets eliminated “higher-version only” comparison of firmware restores (just like BBtickets did for the baseband)
example restores supported by redsn0w if you have the correct blobs: 5.1.1-to-5.0.1, 5.0.1-to-5.1.1, 5.1.1-to-5.1.1, 5.0.1-to-5.0.1
if you don’t have the blobs locally, let redsn0w try to fetch them remotely (redsn0w always tries both Apple and Cydia). Any succesful remote fetch also saves a local copy too.

2. You DO NOT QUALIFY for iOS5-to-iOS5 restores if you got to your current 5.x via an OTA update

the tickets saved by Cydia, redsn0w, and TinyUmbrella do not cover OTA update ramdisk images
even if they did, it’s the “wrong kind” of ramdisk (you’d need to start at that earlier pre-OTA FW)
devices fresh from factory or refurb may fall in the “does not qualify” category (your results will vary)
it’s okay if you previously got to 5.x via an OTA update, as long as your current 5.x was installed via a normal iTunes restore. All that matters is how you got to your current 5.x most recently
redsn0w detects an OTA/normal-restore APticket mismatch very early, so if you don’t know your status there should be no harm in trying. Any device in recovery mode after such a mismatch can boot normally again just by going back to “Even More” screen from the “Restore” screen (or use “Recovery Fix” if you quit redsn0w before doing that).

3. Unlike the A4 devices, redsn0w can’t (usefully) prevent the baseband updates of A5+ iPhones and iPads.

and so, redsn0w automatically flashes the currently signed baseband when it does A5+ restores, even if those basebands didn’t come with the original firmware
stay away from this if you have an unofficial unlock that isn’t supported by the newest baseband
the least-tested baseband update code in redsn0w is for iPad2,3 and iPad3,2. Please give any feedback on those iOS5 restores in the comments section below.

4. iPad2 owners (all three models) with saved 4.x blobs can use those instead, even from 6.x

if you have both 4.x and 5.x iPad2 blobs, you can always get to 5.x via the 4.x blobs, even if you’re currently on 6.x
you cannot get to 5.x from 6.x without the 4.x blobs (but you may still qualify for the iOS5-to-iOS5 restore described above)
if somehow you have 4.x blobs but no 5.x blobs, you can still go down to 4.x from 6.x
this only applies to iPad2 owners (they’re the only A5+ devices that ever had a public 4.x FW)
redsn0w still supports (but doesn’t require) jailbreaking A5+ devices at 5.0.1 and 5.1.1. Just head back to the first page after re-restoring to 5.x. It’s always much faster to jailbreak those FW versions with a freshly-restored device, before letting iTunes restore from a saved userland backup.

And finally, some random details:

5. ultrasn0w isn’t yet updated for 6.x

by now you probably should be taking advantage of the extremely cheap IMEI-based unlocks of iPhones sold by established online retailers like http://cutyoursim.com
still, IMEI-based unlocks don’t work in all cases. We’ll announce when ultrasn0w is ported up to 6.x
redsn0w will still hactivate your 3GS or iPhone4 if you run it before the device is activated. Due to the current tethered 6.x JB status, redsn0w now hactivates 6.x without requiring subsequent tethered boots. If you accidentally hactivate with redsn0w, use the “Deactivate” checkbox available from the Jailbreak screen, not the normal one in “Even more”

6. As always, redsn0w lets you “Fetch” the SHSH blobs currently flashed onto your pre-A5 device

use this if you’re at 5.x or 4.x but without having saved your blobs when the window was open
this is only useful when Apple is no longer signing the firmware, otherwise Cydia/redsn0w “New”/TinyUmbrella blobs are superior (but you’re welcome to fetch your 6.0 blobs this way anyway)
fetching blobs in this fashion will automatically forward them up to Cydia, as well as save a local copy

This is not the official ultrasn0w tool that the iPhone Dev Team created. It’s a package that works with the official tool for supported basebands, those that can be unlocked by the official tool itself. This tool can be used until the official ultrasn0w is updated to unlock iOS 6.

How to Re-Restore 5.1.1-5.1.1 on iPhone4S using redsn0w 0.9.15b1 (Windows)

These are instructions on how to re-restore your iPhone from iOS 5.x to iOS 5.x. This procedure will work for any A5+ device so long as you have the SHSH Blobs saved for the firmware you are currently on and the firmware you would like to restore to.

Important***: You DO NOT QUALIFY for iOS5-to-iOS5 restores if you got to your current 5.x via an OTA (Over-the-Air) update.

Step One
Create a folder on your desktop called Pwnage

Download the latest version of RedSn0w and place it in the Pwnage folder. Likewise, download the firmware you would like to restore to and the firmware you are current on and place it/them in the Pwnage folder.

Extract the RedSn0w zip file to the Pwnage folder.

Step Two
Right click or control-click the redsn0w application from the redsn0w folder we extracted earlier and choose Open from the popup menu that appears.

Step Three
Click Extras from the main menu.

Step Four
Click Even More from the Extras menu.

Step Five
Click Restore from the Even More menu.

Step Six
Click IPSW from the Restore menu, choose the IPSW you would like to restore to from the window that appears, and click Open.

Step Seven
Redsn0w will prompt you to connect your device. Do so, then click the Ok button.

Step Eight
If you need to point RedSn0w to another firmware ipsw it will ask you to do so. If you are re-restoring the same firmware version, RedSn0w will check Cydia to see if you have the correct blobs saved.

If RedSn0w is unable to find your blobs automatically you can try to click the Remote button to try again or you can click the Local button to search for blobs on your computer.

Step Nine
RedSn0w will place your device into recovery mode.

You may be asked to acknowledge that this procedure will update your Baseband. Click Yes to continue or No to stop.

RedSn0w will now restore your iPhone.

Step Ten
You'll be informed when your restore has completed successfully.
