GAME OF THRONE

1. Game of Throne - Can't get enough. I read the book and I still find myself watching the tv series just to watch the intrigues and betrayal to take place. The psychological aspect of power and control is so addicting. Just hate it that I know how it will end for some of the characters. I give it the top spot because I'm still hoping the producers go way ahead in the series before George Martin (the author of Game of Throne) finish his series and end up creating their own great ending.

                       VIKINGS

2. Vikings -Doesn't have a strong character built up or a deep story, but I find the religious and lifestyle aspect of the Vikings interesting. Also their attitude that death is so much better than life. Best part was the second episode (WARNING SPOILER) where the Vikings take on the English. Love how they pulled in soldiers one at a time into their formation to allow the other Vikings behind to slaughter them. It took the second spot as it is fast pace. The producers or maybe the director decided to skip the whole development of the characters and fast forward to months and years so one moment the monk is bald and the next he has hair and beard.

                   SUPERNATURAL
3. Supernatural - The Brothers are back! They hunt for monsters that goes bump in the night. Plus with a witty banter to lighten the mood. (WARNING SPOILER) And with them searching to close the Hell's door I find myself wondering how Dean and Sam will pull this off. I really hope this doesn't end with one of the brother sacrificing themselves for another again. That never work. Plus that's sort of a lame way to end a great show (which I am not supporting. They can do so much more). Its live to fight together or die together with a bang.

                      NIKITA
4. Nikita - The Heroine spy with the heart of gold. Who doesn't love this show. It got action, romance, and psychological twist. (WARNING SPOILER) Just hate that Amanda didn't have more twisted agents by her side to fight Nikita. But she did a nice job ruining Division. I do miss Percy though. He had a flair for setting up situation that even the viewers could believe a man of his intelligence could pull off. I hoped for more from Amanda. The storyline with her was a let down. That is why Nikita is four in my book. Or else it would have been up there in the top two.

                  ORPHAN BLACK
5. Orphan Black - (SPOILER) Okay the idea of clones was done many times before. But you really have to give the actress credit. She really can play the different parts. I mean the make up and hair is not so well done. But the contrast when she's playing the good cop Elizabeth to the Science Geek Cosima is so amazing. I really do believe their different people. Also the pace of the series is nice that its not so complicated like not focusing several episodes on how she was going to destroy DNA evidence. She just went to the computer and click delete. I hate it when series make it complicated and prolong this. They drag it on like one episode the character knows he/she has to rid of evidence but take three episodes to do it. I like my television series simple and complicated only enough so I don't loose interest.

                     ARROW
6. Arrow - The character is base on DC comic. The Green Arrow remake is certainly well done. With scenes of the character training and back story in how adversity can create a man for the better, I find it inspiring and a good dose for the in between in my workout. I know its fiction but watching a guy do several push up and pull up allow me to relate. I just wish they proceed a little faster on the Green Arrow's back story. On how he became strong. The flash back is taking way too long. It should end the first season with him joining the secret army on the island. That way the next season can focus on how he completed his training and betray them.

Dragon Zakura (2005)

Well, the premise is similar in both version. Both is a tale about a new Teacher who makes it his mission to get a handful of students into a ivy league college.

"Dragon Zakura" is Japanese Drama the "Master of Study" is Korean drama. I originally watched the Japanese version "Dragon Zakura" first so maybe that's why I like it a little more than "Master of Study." Either way, If you find yourself procrastinating why not just watch one of these dramas. Just put your books away and give-GIVE!!! yourself to the power of drama. After a day or two you'll be done (if you don't sleep) with the show and then you can get back to studying or finishing up that long essay. Hey, trust me you'll learn something from drama like I did (and people say television is bad for you).

The very first time I learn about memory trick was from Dragon Zakura when the teacher showed his students how to remember random list by connecting them with visual pictures. By giving meaning, your mind tend to remember the words or phrases. After that I found myself searching and learning about Mnemonics and read about people with incredible memories. Then in few months I find myself practising first seeing how my mind remember images and using that to connect random numbers starting at 1 (to Tree), 2 (to Noah), and so on. I was so hooked and influence by the drama I too tried hard to get into a good college.

I don't mean that these two drama will somehow radically change your lives and get you into Harvard. But I do believe that everything we experience and do add something to our self being. So if your going to watch something, why not watch these dramas. You never know, you may be inspired to learn and you too may enter a prestigious school.

                                        A
glint of white light flash across his eyes and he darted away just
in time to avoid the shot that rang after. Randal Marks did not
expect company. Not so quick anyway. The stranger kept shooting at
the wall where Marks had managed to dive to and used for cover. After
a short while the gun fire stopped but Marks heard the familiar
un-clipping sound. No doubt reloading for second round. Marks pulled
out his nine millimeter, a standard for the department of Wendell
Police. But he held his finger away from the trigger. There was no
way he was going to fire. That meant leaving a clear sign that his
gun was used and bullets to prove it. Not something he wanted.

         There
was no option to run. The small apartment had one room where the
stranger had fired his gun from, sure enough to sounding the police.
Marks was stuck in the kitchen and as far as he could see there was
no window big enough to jump. But with the apartment being on the
fifth floor he didn't like the odds of diving feet first.

           “Can
we talk?” Marks called out. He wondered afterwards why he even
asked. Like the guy who was shooting at you would be happy to chat.
But he had to do something. With the police on the way time was
running out.

         “Sure
why don't we. Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my
house?”

        Great
that voice, Marks thought. He definitely knew his assailant now. The
very man he planned to set up; James Monroe.

          “Do
cops usually shoot first then ask question?” Marks said and slide
the kitchen knife he found on the counter into his sleeve.

          “If
you know I'm the police, why don't you come out, hands up, slowly.”
Monroe said and Marks notice that the voice was low. Surely to mask
the fact that Monroe was inches away from the wall.

          “I
remind you officer. I am unarmed.” Marks put his gun into his
hoister and walked hands up, backward toward Monroe. A very naive
thing to do showing your back to your enemy.

         “Turn
around” Monroe shouted, but Marks took little notice and inched
further closer. “Turn around and let me look at you.”

          “Hey
now.” Marks said calmly. “As you can see I have nothing in my
hands. My gun is in the hoister on my belt.”

        Monroe
came close. “I know you don't I?”

        Marks
turn his head to the side to give the man a good look and also took
the chance to see how close the man was. Monroe smirked and shove the
gun to his head.

         “Wrong
move rookie. I'll be sure to be sad when I tell the brass that you

Marks weapon Monroe only managed to get a shot out before all Marks
heard was a gargle sound from his open throat.

Books to Enjoy Beside Harry Potter

If you happen to be looking
for another series to invest your time, minus the magical theme, try
the Chaos Walking Series by Patrick Ness. The first book title
“The Knife of Never Letting Go” might seem weird and
incomprehensible to what the book may entail but let me tell you to
give all the books a read.

The book start out with a boy
name Todd. He tells you in his world, your every thoughts and
feelings can be heard by others. And his life is more annoyed by his
talking dog Manchee and his boring small town with only men around.
But don't stop there. As you keep reading your going to be introduce
to a girl name Viola and Todd's fight against what others had deem to
be his future.

                           Yes, this is more science
fiction than fantasy, but as you keep going through the series you
will be invested in Todd, Manchee (yes even the dog), Viola, and even
antagonist like Prentiss Jr, and the Mayor. It will make you cry, get
angry, and simply happy as Todd grow into a man, fighting in a war he
never wanted, falling for a girl, and realizing his potential to lead
and influence others for a better future.

Although it is set in the
future, don't expect futuristic weapons; like ray guns. The author
set the scene more like the wild west where people ride horses, fire
rifles and six shooters. But what I love most about this book is the
war theme and how leaders are sometimes made and at other created.
And the ending was a delight. You won't be disappointed. There are total of three books:
1. The Knife of Never Letting Go

2. The Ask and the Answer

3. Monsters of Men

So hurry and
get started and I guarantee this series will be one of your life's
little joy.

So writing Ebook is very time consuming. Be warn you'll question why your doing this like hundreds of time. For me I admire mystery writers like Rex Stout-Nero Wolfe, Conan Doyle-Sherlock Holmes and also urban fantasy like Eoin Coifer-Artemis Fowl. Therefore I wanted try writing one instead of only reading it.

I spent around six hours a day to finish my first book "Forester's Manny-Murder with no Body." Its already posted on pubit (barnesandnoble) and Amazon Kindle. Now let me explain how I did it.

First I basically just made a rough outline on a piece of paper. Consider how I want to set up the story. Should I go for a one time ending or go for a series. After filling out small details on what each chapters will the readers I decided just for a series.

Next I opened up a "Openoffice" program (or you can use Microsoft word). Typed up each chapter without stopping to edit. Never stop. I find that when you pause to reread time just fly by and you end up making it worst. When I ended up finishing the whole thing, I went back reread to make sure the story had a flow and deleted unnecessary parts.
DO NOT FORGET TO CREATE A TABLE OF CONTENTs FOR YOUR CHAPTERS. It look more professional when you do.
Check out this link:
Create Table of Contents

SAVE your file as .doc, .txt, or .html because this is the only type of file Amazon and Barnes and Noble (pubit) recognize to convert it to epub.

Now all you have to do is create a cover. If you have photoshop set the image size as 702x 1003 pixel. Then create a image you think best suit your story. Put a title and don't forget your name. Save it as jpeg.

Your all set. Go upload your cover and writing on:

pubit.com
or
Amazon
and register. There is NO charge. Set a price for your ebook and your done. If you have any other questions comment below.
How to be Like Sherlock Holmes

Have you ever wondered how you can be like the fictional character like
Sherlock Holmes? Look at a stranger, friend, or family and know where
they were, what they did, and what secret their hiding. These are
instructional tips and do not constitute a proven method.

The character Sherlock Holmes is the fictional character of Arthur
Conan Doyle. Conan Doyle states that his creation was inspired by Doctor Joseph Bell. This is important because all doctors
who studied in school learned to conduct their investigation to
phenomenal based on the scientific method. The scientific method is
conducted first with observation, second-collection of data,
third-formulating a hypothesis, and finally testing out the hypothesis
to see if it is correct.
The scientific method is exactly what Sherlock Holmes utilizes.
He observes the stranger. Collect data base on the stranger’s clothing,
physical state, actions, and etc. After that he formulates a hypothesis
on who exactly the person might be and what he/she wants. The part of
formulating hypothesis is base on Sherlock Holmes considerable
knowledge. For example, Sherlock Holmes knows where one has been in
England by the type of mud on their shoe.
Also in “The Hound of the Baservilles” Sherlock Holmes knows that the
letters C.C.H on the stick stands for Charing Cross Hospital. Finally
Holmes test out his hypothesis by stating them as fact and see if the
stranger agrees or disagree with his conclusions. Although Sherlock
Holmes method is more of an inference than sound conclusions
nevertheless it is base on what is observable.
So how to be like Sherlock Holmes:

Use the Scientific Methods.

A) Observation: Do NOT stop observing
the person when you come to an obvious conclusion. It is not the
validity of your inference that is important, but the amount of
observation you have.

EXAMPLE: You arrive just in time to meet a
friend of yours who you have not seen for a long time. You observe that
her hair is a mess, so she must have come in a hurry. After further
observation you see that her makeup is flawless and her clothes are
neat. Her hair must be some sort of style. So your first conclusion is
wrong to assume that she came in a hurry.

B) Collect Data: Remember what you have seen.
Many times in Sherlock Holmes’s adventure Holmes told Watson how he does
not truly observe the things he sees because Watson fails to remember
the fine details of what he sees (i.e. The number of steps on an
staircase). So how do you remember everything you see? Well you can’t,
unless you have eidetic memory. You have to remember the details where
you know you can get the most truthful data.

HINTS: When you meet someone for the first time,
causally look from down and up. Looking at the area from bottom- like
the shoes is the best place to indicate status (the material of the
shoes, brand, etc), the amount traveled (wears, mud stain, etc), and
find out if the person is fashionable (style, color-does it match the
outfit?) because the shoes is the LEAST control area.
The face and hair will tell you the least about the person because that
is the first thing a person will touch up and manipulate in the
morning.

C) Hypothesize : Use the facts that you have to suit your hypnotize and not the other way around. Also base your hypothesize on your context.

EXAMPLE: If you meet a stranger who wears a
military outfit, stands like a military man, and orders people around
like a military man, he must be in the military. The simplest inference
is usually the correct one. However, also consider your context. If it’s
Halloween, the man might just be dressing up like a military personnel.

D) Test out Hypothesize: Create a control experiment. Or you can always ask if your conclusion is correct.

EXAMPLE: If you suspect someone is borrowing
your clothes without permission, announce to the suspect that you’re
going out. Then as you pretend to leave you hide in your room to catch
the suspect red handed.

Read – The more Knowledge you have the better the
inference. However, this does not mean you should read everything
you see. Consider what is important and imagine how you can use the
things you have learned.

A) Read Newspapers –find out the weather, the politics, etc.
B) Read factual books –Biology, basic chemistry, psychology – body language, and etc.
C) Learn some common statistics –Most common names, median wage in your area, education level, most common jobs, etc.
D) Look through magazines –Fashion, makeup, latest food crazes, etc.

A) Think before you speak. The person you are speaking to dictate the volume and the tone of your speech. However, volume does not mean shouting. You can increase your voice without the need to yell.

Example: On many occasion Nero Wolfe uses his baritone voice to rumble vocally to people when they are unreasonable. But there are times when he too see that volume alone has no place when an girl like Anna Fiore in “Fer De Lance” refuse to name the culprit. A timid girl with stubborn attitude like her required him to be soft tone and concise.

B) People’s self interest always lead them. So show them the path. AND
THIS IS IMPORTANT YOU MUST LEAD THEM INDIRECTLY. NEVER DIRECTLY.

Example: Anna Fiore in “Fer De Lance” must have a reason why she refuse to name the culprit. Nero Wolfe saw that reason was her self interest in keeping the money the killer has given to her in return for her silence. So Nero
Wolfe contrive the idea that he would replace that money if Anna threw
the Killer’s money away into the fire. That way her obligation to the
killer would be nulled and void. But Anna did not take his offer. Why do
something someone told her to do when she already had the money in her
hand.
Nero Wolfe then thought of another plan. Force her to take
the offer by indirectly and placate her interest. So he stagged an
robbery and rid her of the Killer’s money. Anna who is at an lost comes
to Wolfe and accept his previous offer for the money.

C) Never be afraid to think something through. Go over the facts.

Example. In “Disguise for Murder” Nero Wolfe invited guest to see his orchids. An short party, when an woman is found murdered in Wolfe’s office after Archie Goodwin (Wolfe’s assistant) left her to find Nero Wolfe. Wolfe listen to Archie tell him that the woman was frantic about an man she had seen in Nero
Wolfe’s party and had only recognized him because of his hat. No one
except Wolfe realized the importance of that statement; “The man wore an
hat so she knew who he was.”
In the 1960s men wore dashing hats to go with their suits.
And it was customary to take off your hat when you enter someone’s home.
And because no male guest in the party had an hat on, the only
perpetrators possible was the female guest who had on bonnets or some
sort of cap on their heads. So Nero Wolfe was able to narrow down who the Killer to be.

D) Become the Subject. Make Reasonable Assumptions and be ready to correct them when ideas are proven faulty.

Example. Nero Wolfe always try to become the subject. How an
person will think and act. Not in the sense of being Godly, but under
circumstances Wolfe creates or plans. In “The Doorbell Rang” Wolfe hires actors to become him and his assistant Archie Goodwin
without the FBI who is watching his home becoming wiser to this fact.
He needed the actors to become them because he wanted the FBI to do
something illegal so that he had an hold over them. To do this Wolfe
made sure the FBI heard that he had something on them to tie to murder.
The proof lying in his safe, he had the FBI watch his and Archie’s
double leave his home and wait until the FBI agents break into his home
and pounce on them to reveal their illegal activities.
Nero Wolfe knew with the FBI’s resources and that they would be
listening and watching him. So he used these to his advantage. Knew very
well that if he was the FBI, Wolfe too would find breaking in someone’s
home no less illegal than ease dropping on innocent civilians.

Another EXAMPLE: This one is personal. I actually made assumptions on a stranger I met.
There was an man in his 50s with white hair, Asian, and an baby strap
to his shoulder. I try to think how that baby related to him. The man
was too old to be the baby’s father. And typically Asian male tend to
have babies early on and not in their later years. So I assumed that he
was the baby’s grandfather. And then I saw that there was no one beside
him there. No mother or father of the baby around. So I thought more
into precisely how that baby related to him.
1) Was the baby’s father, the grandfather’s son
2) Was the baby’s mother the grandfather’s daughter.
3) Or even maybe an distant relative.
But I managed to narrow it down. I try to place myself
in the mother’s shoe. If I had an father in law would I allow him to
watch my child alone without me being with the baby? Yes, but not
likely. I would in fact be more comfortable if I or my husband was with
the father-in law in case my baby was needed something. So I was
emotionally more comfortable leaving my child with someone if they were
more related to me. And then it became clear to me. The grandfather was
actually the mother’s father. Choice number 2. That way I (the mother)
would feel better leaving my child because who best to take care of my
baby than the man who raised me. And in the end when I confronted the
stranger about the child, I was completely right.
I know this is not the whole case for every situation
with an elderly man with an baby strap to him. But I am showing you this
because many people are afraid to make assumption. The phrase “Never
assume because it makes an ASS out of U N Me” come to mind. But to be a
good detective like Nero Wolfe, assumption must be made. Without it, we
would get no where. The only difference is to always be reasonable and never base your assumption as facts. Only an thought to
shed further light into an matter.
Well the mall is not filled with that. I never met a new friend there. Maybe its because of my attitude. I usually avoid crowded places like this, hate the whole browsing while people shuffle around you. That is why I thought going on a business day before school hour would give me some room space to get some shirts and jeans. But I was wrong.
First the parking lot. God almighty finding a space is like looking for a prey. I zoom in on any person who seem to heading for their car and then proceed to stalk them. I managed today to get lucky and follow someone who is heading out, but usually I'm not so lucky. I once followed an old lady down all the way to only discover she was heading for the bus stop :P. Hated my life.
After parking, I carefully remember where I parked because I'm dizzy that way. If you ever see someone walking around beeping their car, that'll be me.
Getting in the mall is my favorite moment. The cool breeze you feel brush over your body from the air conditioner. However, that moment is brief like all good things. You end up feeling chilly and heading for the bathroom.
So I walked and walked. Looking occasionally on the mall map when I find myself lost. I just wish they gave you one you can carry. I like to place one beneath my feet to get a better idea where I am :). Headed to H&M to buy some clothes than to Old Navy to get some khakis pants.
Oh checked out some flashy people passing by. Yes, I am lonely like that. So if you see someone sitting alone on a bench, come on by and say hello. There is statically more chances you'll end up with a nice person than a pervy loser. I don't know which category I fit in, but before this post become a dating info about my love for a long walk around the beach, my great listening skills, etc...I'll stop here. This post is already making me depress.
P.S Got all my stuff. Got a cool looking bag from Old Navy for free. And still ended up making zero friends.

Forester's Manny - New Ebook

Mostly about a regular protagonist who end up discovering a world that is filled with magic and monsters. Some of titles like the Percy Jackson & Olympic series by Rick Riordan:

A tale about a boy name Percy Jackson with ADHD (Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and dyslexia who realize those symptoms are manifestation to him being related to a Greek gods. Interesting way to give a positive outlook to a disorder. The story is breeze to read and the characters are interesting to follow. There are moments when the dream sequences give too much away and you end up knowing who the antagonist really is. However, for all you unfamiliar with Greek gods, Rick Riordan leaves lasting impressions of their characters for readers to sympathize and love. And also check out "The Heroes of Olympus" which is sort of a continuation of Percy Jackson's series but mainly deal with a
new kid and his Roman background.
Another is by Eoin Colfer and his Artemis Fowl series:Follow the story of a criminal genius who enters the world of fairies. Oh, did I forget to mention he's just a kid. Underestimate by his enemy because he just a human child, he out smart them using their own wits against them. Artemis Fowl series is a new look of a world where fairies live right under our feet. Deep near the Earth Core is their magical world. A touching story about family and friends, readers will find themselves gripping in anticipation to a boy who is slowly challenging who he really is.

Although there are much more interesting fantasy books, I would just like to cover this last one which I actually discover by accident. Widdershins by Charles de Lint:

This is the second book in a series, the first being "The Onion Girl." However, after reading it, I found myself able to follow the story well enough to understand the war between the fairies and Native American deities. In the story the fairies are actually immigrants who came oversea to America and want to settle down in the wooden area away from the cities, but the magical creatures who already has stake in the lands do not want them. So there is tension between them. The story follows assortments of characters, but mainly the protagonist is a girl name Jilly Coppercorn. She is far cry from your typical hero, being paralyzed and having an abusive childhood. With the hopes of many undocumented children on the line, many of the senators (Dubin, Reid, etc) spoke out for them. In the end, the voting occurred. One by one each senators' name was called to vote I or Nay. At the start all the Democrats seem to be in favor of the Dream Act. Also some Republicans like Murkowski, Lugar, and Bennnett was in favor of the Act. But then Democrats like Ben Nelson, Collins, Baucus, and Tester voted no and so the Dream Act was doom. With votes of 55 YEA to 41 NAY, the Dream for many died that moment. We had become the country that was in favor of punishing the children for their parent's wrong doing.

If all the Democrats supported the Dream Act and gotten help from some Republicans the Dream Act would have succeeded. Why the hesitation? Whats wrong with the Nay sayers? Are they willingly to deport so many of the brightest kids out to other countries? What is the point of bringing in workers from other countries into U.S when the very skill workers needed was right here in the U.S.
I for one wish everyone would call their Senators. Write Emails. Why do they oppose a this bill? Its not Amnesty, when the act only gives right to the undoc children who did nothing wrong. Its not a free pass. When considering that it takes FIVE YEARS and service to U.S Army or attendance to 2 yr college to be allowed citizenship. This BILL does not give the undocs parents any legal right to stay in U.S. So why are they so oppose?

My hope is that senators Dubin and Reid take another take on the Dream Act. With this bill, new citizens will rise and many of American heart can take their place among the American of the whole.

Dec 2010 Drama Mary Stayed Out All Night

Mary Stayed Out All NIGHT

Plot:
Korean Actress Moon Geun Young (Known for My little Bride, Innocent Step, etc) is back as Wi Mae Ri (Pronounce MARY). A sweet, honest girl who is born to a father who is a bad business man with too much debt. Like any typical love drama she finds herself with accidental encounter with a guy name Kang Moo Kyul (played by Jang Geun Suk) that starts out forming relationship through misunderstanding and obligations. If her life wasn't complicated, she comes to find out that she has a informal marriage obligation set by her father to Byun Jung In (played by Kim Jae Wook).

REVIEW (SPOILER ALERT!): The first two episodes I watched really showed me how much Moon Geun Young is a capable actress. At first when I saw her with that long curly hair, I thought "Oh Great! Distraction." I really hate it when Korean drama tend to impress audience through props and fancy clothes to hide the actors/actress skill. However, Moon Geun Young's style really show. The sound of her voice is appropriate with her new look and the honestly of her character is portray by her subtle pauses and manner.
This is in contrast to the character Kang Moo Kyul. No offense to Jang Geun Suk, I like his acting on the drama "You're Beautiful." His mean demeanor-yet touching character really told the audience he cared for the protagonist (Park Shin Hye-who I found really wrong for the part). But in this drama he is suppose to play the loyal/lonely/hard to trust/mysteries character. At first you can see his devotion to his band when he pays off the violation fee to his manager to stay with his band. But when it come to him and Moon Geun Young I did not feel the conflict of trust. The whole chasing scene where Moon Geun young goes to get his signature to avoid suing her, was lacking. The only part where you see his "hard to trust" was when he told her blatantly he never sign anything because people messed with him in the past. Where is his reluctance? I only find him appropriate for this part base on his looks, long hair, and sheek clothes.

You should expect from this Drama a "Love Square." There is another male actor Jan Wook Kim as Jung In Byun and another female actress Hyo Jin Kim as Joon Seo. Basically

Wi Mae Ri -LIKES-> <-LIKES-Kang Moo Kyul Wi Mae Ri -WILL COME TO TRUST-> <-WILL COME TO LOVE- Jung In Byun Jung In Byun -Curruent Interest-> Joon Seo
Joon Seo- Currently Love-> Kang Moo Kyul
In the end the basic come to realization to love by protagonist (Wi Mae Ri) is expected.

SHOULD YOU WATCH IT? (1 Bored to distract thoughts of suicide-10 Must watch & Avoid Sleep)
YES - score of 7. He hope this will give the Pro-Dream Act voters to try to gain more Senators on their side. They need 60 votes to pass the Bill. The Dream Act, when pass, will allow ONLY those illegal immigrant under the age of 30 (also came to U.S under the age 16) to gain rights to stay in U.S. This is a great way to help those who came to U.S as children and who had done nothing wrong. This bill does not reward the children but give them the chance to live the normal life that many American children take for granted. Like Loans for School, the rights to Drive, open a bank account, pay taxes, work, etc..
Many opponents of the bill feel cheated by this Bill. But their main point is that the law is being broken by allowing the Dream Act to pass. This is not the case when considering the illegal immigrants are children who came unknowingly by their parents into U.S. Where does the blame fall... the driver (Parent) or the passenger (child) when the car hit another vehicle?
Also the so call "Mother's of America" claim that the Dream Act burden the American Tax payer and will take Jobs from Americans. Instead by passing the Dream Act, it will help increase the U.S budget as many of these kids as require by the bill to attend 2 years of college (without FEDERAL GRANTS), pay taxes, and do not commit any unlawful acts for 5 years to qualify for Dream Act. Umm...giving these kids rights will also not help those lose their jobs when they already do not have jobs. The unemployment rate is up 10%. Instead these ambitious children will most likely create new jobs. As many are top students.
SO PASS THE DREAM ACT. TELL your Senators to vote and get the needed 60 votes.

P.S. For those Opponents who keep shouting AMNESTY! Remember what the definition is. Basically, a girl try to confess to the one guy who is out of her league. She gets rejected, but due to fate she end up moving in with the guy. The forces that work to bring them together is funny and at the same time frustrating to watch. The cast is great and unique. Watch it if you never seen the Anime or the Chinese Drama. If you seen the Chinese Drama "It started with a kiss" you might be little disappointed. However, if you have nothing better to do, give it a shot.

What happen to Katy Perry?

Katy Perry made an appearance on Sesame Street. However, due to her "provocative" clothing, the producers decided not to air her singing duet with Elmo. The video is not aired on t.v but you can view it on such sites like Youtube. But do not get your hopes up. There really is nothing to get all worked up about. Its not like Katy Perry is showing off her ample cleavage. I mean look at some clothes that Lady GaGa wear on her music video. But I can understand why the producer might see this as a problem due to the fact its air to mainly little children. The only thing I can say is that the producer might have missed a chance to grabbed the attention of older audience:)

Ending Survival

Ending Three Farewell:

Sarah stares at Jordan, Kevin, and Rev standing in front of her. The sound of the monstrously hordes banging on the other side of the door. Rev turns and smiles at her. The smile was different from those she has seen in the past. This time the smile of assurance made her tremble.

“Go...we’ll be right behind you” said Rev still putting up his smile.

Sarah shook her head. Her heart was torn at what she understood.

Jordan turned a little. His face half cover in blood. His eyes wondering around, as if trying to keep focus.

“What you waiting for kiddo? You better hurry and get going. Like Rev said…we’ll be right behind you”

Then Kevin took off his watch. He hand the watch to her. Trying his best not to look at her eyes.

“I don’t want this thing being a burden to me while I run after we do what we have to do. Take good care of it will ya. You know how much it means to me.” Kevin looked away as quickly as he gave her his watch. He stared straight at the banging door in front of him.

Rev leaned and put his hand on her shoulder.

“We’ll come back…that is why there is no need for us to say goodbye. Right?”

Sarah nodded.

“When this is over we’ll celebrate like we use to” Rev said it as his smile slowly faded.

Jordan gave a chuckle. “Yeah kiddo…Drink all we want and look at the stars, remember”

Kevin couldn’t help but cry. His tears forming in his eyes, trying to hide them from Sarah as if they were his personal treasure. However, Dana knew what at happen without seeing him. Her heart also cried out, but held it deep. She had to. She wanted to be there for Sarah.

Sarah understood the situation. Even if she was young, she understood. Especially what those three people she came to love wanted to say, but could not. They wanted hope and wanted Sarah to believe that there was hope. So she denied herself the reality and let her innocence take hold and let ignorance cover her mind.

“You promise…you’ll be right behind me.” Sarah said without looking away from Rev’s eyes.

“Yeah…right behind you” Rev said.

Dana took Sarah’s hand and she pulled Sarah away. Sarah tries to take a last look at them and then turn and ran with Dana. Sarah could not help counting her footstep. Counting as if they were her lifeline to them. The more she counted the more she wanted to stop.. Somewhere deep in her mind she heard herself say “They’ll come right behind me…Don’t forget…we…didn’t say goodbye!” and that thought kept repeating in her.

However, she saw them. Saw through those monsters. The infection had allowed her to. The three men who became her protectors, her friends, and her family. They had opened the door and fought through them. Jordan with his unusual strength even with his wound pushed through them. Kevin’s tears were now visible to her. She remembered Jordan commenting how a person like Kevin ever lasted in prison with such a cowardly heart. However, she knew then. It was his huge heart that was allowing him to face his fear. He wasn’t afraid of death. He was afraid of saying goodbye as she was. Then she saw Rev. His face in agony. Both him and Jordan leaning against one another. She wanted to yell at them, that it wasn’t over. That they had to come back. Then she heard the monster she was looking through scream. She was trying to will the thing to stop. However, all she could do was look. Its claw swept across Jordan’s chest. Rev plunged a tool into the monsters side. Rev try to help Jordan, but the monster then clawed Rev’s back. His agony filled Sarah’s mind.

“NO!” was all Dana heard her say. Dana turned and picked Sarah up. Sarah stared blindly at her.

Then Sarah saw Jordan in front of the monster and stabbed it. Sarah stared into Jordan’s eyes. His composed eyes soon closed slowly and he fell. She tries to will the monster to look down, but it then turn to Rev. He was on the other side of the hall. Using the wall as support.

“Uuhhaaah!!!” Rev streamed.

He rushed into it and both the monster and Rev fell. Then she saw Kevin upside down. The monster was staring at him on the floor looking up. Kevin seemed to hold onto something. She then heard Rev yell “Light it!”

There was a flash and the monster got up and attack Kevin. Sarah tries to turn her mind off. However, it was too late. She saw Kevin’s eyes look at her. But they were not his usual bright eyes. They were empty, quiet, dark. Then the monster turns. It was staring at Rev. The monster took a step and fell. It look down and so did Sarah. She saw a huge iron pole sticking out. Then she heard other monsters. Then for a second she saw Rev fall on the ground. The monster was also on the floor. It stared at Rev and Rev stared back at it.

“I’m sorry…Sarah…if you can hear me…I’m sorry…the stars…I…”

Then Rev’s eyes closed. Sarah stared at him.

“No! AHHH!! NO!!” Sarah screamed.

“You promise…YOU PROMISE!”

Her voice carry all through the compound. Dana did not have to ask. She knew. She wanted to also scream. Scream to let the pain subside even a little. However, she knew she did not have time. Not now. She grabbed Sarah and made her run. They did not have time. No time to grief, no time to complain, she just hoped enough time for them to escape.

The compound exploded. The monster’s scream covered in the blast. Sarah and Dana looked at the explosion from the hill top. The flames roar up and down. Sarah tightens her gripped on Dana’s hand. Dana looked down at the young girl. She knew how Sarah felt. She felt the same and knew no words to comfort her or herself. They both stare at the compound. It was over. They had survived, but to what they wondered. The family they had once known was now divided. Sarah moved her free hand and felt no one beside Dana next to her. Dana also felt no one beside her except Sarah. They both understood what they had lost. The open space will never truly be filled, but over time… maybe they’ll get use to the empty space and say goodbye to their pain.

Lonely

This is a test. She's a new character and her character name is "El". Her power is the manipulation and the production of electricity. Although I loved her on "Veronica Mars," her act on Heroes seems lacking. She's still acts witty, but for El I want her to be more quiet and mysterious. I honestly did not want her to be Veroncia with special powers. I still thinks she's hot and I hope she gets more movie opportunities.

Uncertain Future

I am living a lie. I am constantly alert when I walk outside, looking for familiar faces so I can avoid them. I find myself depending on my Ipod and using my ear phones as a shield to pretend that I do not hear them when they call. I feel bad and ashame for leaving my friends out of my life. However, I already decided to do so. I have my own reason and the reason is so strong that I go through such lengths. I know eventually I'll lose them, but I did make new friends at work. Although its true they do not know the real me, only the lie, the mask, for which I have carefully made. However, for now it must do. I know I will not be their closest friend because movies, parties, and other social gathering is not something I find wise to do. In case their questioning about my past goes too deep. I confess here only this much because I have heard bottling up one's feeling is never a good thing.
I know your confuse and might even be bored by now about my ranting. Its definitely easier for those of you who are, what sociologist called "In the Margin", to figure out what I am. I am not talking about race, but I am bound to politics. The exterior had red brick walls which surrounded the lower half and the rest was solid concrete with five windows on every sides. It wasn’t much too look at, but Riker Liam knew the building uniqueness lies with its creator and interior design. The building was named “Lexiton”, after an alumni member Robert Lexiton who donated money to the university. Although the building looked simple on the outside the interior design was a marvel. The architecture that was hired to make the building had the ideal concept of efficiency and elegance. So even if people saw nothing special outside the building, once they step inside they will see the spacious hallways, rooms, and find themselves wondering how each step they take, each one feels as if they know exactly where their going. The architecture called this “Clairvoyance blueprint”. A way to organize the rooms to make it easy and accessible.

This wasn’t the first time Liam saw the building. He had seen hundreds of images online and the brochures he got when applying for the university. Thomas University is the place where future starts….that was the motto for the school. Although Liam initially wanted to go somewhere else for his college years, he could not refuse the scholarship they were offering to him. A full ride to Thomas University and a free dorm for two years was something he could not let pass. It made his family especially happy to know that they were not going to burden by his debts. Also after seeing the pictures of the dorm building he was going to stay only added to his decision for accepting Thomas University’s offer.

The front door of the building was already lining up with other students waiting to take the elevator to their new home. He knew he did not have to rush. He only brought what was minimally needed to carry up to the third floor. He would get the rest of his stuff from his home later on that week.

“Excuse me?” Liam turned around and saw a small child. “Umm…is this Lexiton dormitory?” Liam nodded and saw the relief on the child’s face. Liam knew that the child must have a hard time looking for the building because at first Lexiton was indistinguishable from the rest of the buildings surrounding it. The only indication was the small L on the front of the entrance.

“Are you also a student here?” the boy asked. Liam nodded once more and introduced himself. “Well, it’s nice to meet you L~iiam...sorry Li~am. My name is Dern Davidson. I’m also a student here”

Shocked at first, Liam could not believe that such a small child could enter college so early. While he heard about genius children entering college, he expected them to go to an Ivy League school. Thomas University was establish sixty years ago so its barely known.

“What floor are you in” he asked, realizing that Davidson notice his dumbfound look.

“The fourth floor, room 404, and you man, what floor are you in?”

Liam was little uncomfortable from a child calling him “you man”, but he ignore it and told him he was in room 307.

After making some more small chats Liam headed for the stairs while Davidson waited on line with his suitcases.

“For such a little kid, he sure has a lot of stuff” Liam said particular to no one.

Turning the key, Liam used his back to push through the door. The door was hard to open and after opening it, made a small reminder to himself to get some oil to loosen the hinges. The room was big, two windows on the left side and a third right across from the door. There were two beds, each on the opposite side of the wall from the other and two desks connected on the left of the door. There was no one in the room and it seems Liam got there before his roommate.

He put his bags on the bed closet to the two windows and allows his senses to roam the room. There was no particular smell, but the air felt refreshing inside. This was his new home for the semester and he smiled thinking how old he got. It felt like just yesterday he was entering high school and hanging out with his classmates. After taking a moment to memory lane, Liam took out his cell phone to call his parents. He had promise them he would call once he got there. Although they wanted to come and drop him off, he knew his parents could not leave the store unattended. The small business located on Grand Concourse was the only source of income.

After three rings Liam heard his mom’s voice.

“Mom, it’s me. Yeah I just got here”

           “How’s your room?”

“Its nice, roomier then I thought”

           “Is your roommate there?”

          “No, not yet. How’s work?”

Liam knew the answer before his mother replied and regretted asking. The business was really slow the year after the Sept. 11 attack. After that day it seemed to Liam more stores were closing down and less customers was showing up.

“Same as always honey. If things don’t get better I…don’t know…well hopefully it will…hopefully.”

Liam reassure her it will, but knew the words lost its meaning after the countless other times he had said it to her.

“Well, hon, your dad said do your best and sleep if your tire from your drive”

“I will mom, umm…I’ll head home this week to get the rest of my stuff”

“Okay. Just make sure you study hard.”

          “Yeah mom I will. Bye”

Putting his phone on the desk he looked up at the ceiling. While the rest of the walls were white the ceiling was yellow. He wondered if he should go check out the other students on his floor and thought against it. They were probably too busy unloading their clothes and Liam knew he should have done the same, but lying there on the bed just made him a little tire. Blinking couple of times his eyes close and last thoughts slowly vanish and he soon drifted to sleep.

2. Roommate?!

He knocked couple of times, but there was no answer. He had unlocked the door with his key and tried to open the door but it did not bulge. He figured someone was in there and was blocking the door. He could see the light being block from the bottom space of the door as if someone was moving back and forth. After several attempts, he decided to go down to the lobby and have one of the Resident Advisor to help him get the jerk to open the door. It was clearly someone having a laugh at his attempt to get into his dorm room. With a few nasty words said he picked up his bags and headed downstairs.

Liam opened his eyes and stare up to stranger staring right back at him. He was so close to Liam that he saw the stranger’s pupil.

“Whooo are you? What do you want?” said Liam trying his best not to sound too afraid.

The stranger stood back from Liam and headed for the other bed while sliding his slipper on his way.

“Shouldn’t it be obvious?” replied the stranger with a small frown.

Liam took a glance at the light Asian guy in front of him. He was wearing blue jean, a white button down shirt, with a blue tie. Liam was sure he never met the guy, but nonetheless knew who he was.

           “Charles Kim. You’re my roommate”

Kim smiled and slightly lifted his head as saying yes.

“I was trying to wake you up. The Resident Advisor wants us to meet at the lounge at ten.”

Picking up his phone from his desk he saw that the time was almost ten. He had been sleeping for more than five hours. Liam regretted missing out on a chance to introduce himself to his fellow neighbors. As if reading Liam’s thought, Kim told him he’ll have his chance to get to know the other students at the meeting.

“Sorry I sort of freak on you” said Liam

             “Not a problem”

It was strange to Liam to see Kim wearing a half formal and informal wear. He hadn’t seen anyone else being formal. He was about to ask, but Kim got up and walk out of the room without saying anything.

Liam figured that this was how things were going to be between him and Kim. He barely knew Kim and he guess Kim was the private type. Liam put his phone in his pocket and headed toward the lounge.

The lounge was a huge. There are eight walls, with three couches on the far end of the room, with a television right in front, and other desk and chairs lined up in the middle. Majority of the floor mates was already sitting on the chairs and desks and waiting for the meeting to begin. Liam saw Kim sitting on the couch by himself. He stared onto nothing and seemed to be already bored. Liam didn’t know if he should head toward to Kim or take one of the empty seats. He saw the resident advisor coming into the lounge and decided just to stand.

The Resident Advisor or the R.A introduces herself as Sasha Sauston. She told them just to call her “Saish”. She was a senior at Thomas University and told them that she will be responsible for any problems or questions they have about the University. She had the quirky look to her and Liam figure it was a superficial act to get people to notice her.

“So does anyone have any question?”

Everyone else in the room was already bored and Saish nodded to herself as if acknowledging their appeal to leave.

“I have a question” said Kim looking up at the ceiling. “Is the ceiling supposed to that?”

Everyone looked up at what Kim was looking at. At the edge of the room there was something dripping down onto the floor. The Resident Advisor did not have to say anything. Everyone just knew that something was wrong. Saish ran upstairs. The frightening thing that scared Liam was the color of the liquid. It was red, like blood

3. Vanishing Act

Saish return to the meeting room and tried her best to shake the shock of what she just heard. “Everyone, I need you to all head back to your dorm rooms. Until further notice you are suppose to stay in your rooms.”

“What’s going on?” asked a girl with thin pink glasses.

Saish hesitated for a second and seem to be considering her answer.

“Please, for now I ask that you hold onto your questions. Someone from the Advisor office will come over and speak to everyone. So please head back to your rooms.”

Liam saw no one protest and headed back to his room. After sitting down in front of his desk, Riker notice Charles looking out the door into the hallway.

          “Is something wrong?”

Charles turned around as if noticing Riker for the first time.

          “I’m curious…aren’t you?”

Riker was about to tell him yes when he heard someone scream. Riker ran up, passing Charles down the hallway. The sound seems to be coming from the meeting room. He wasn’t the only one there. The scream alerted everyone on the floor. However, when they all got there, there was no one.

Riker listen carefully waiting for another scream. As if on cue the scream was muffled, but was definitely coming from above. Riker and some of his floor mates ran back down the hall and got onto the elevator up to the fourth floor. Uncertainty was written on everyone’s faces. Riker hoped for the best, but prepare for the worst. That was his motto. Something he read in a book a while back.

When the elevator door finally opened Riker saw campus police surrounding the dorm room all the way at the end of the hall. One of the campus police had a girl around her arm, calming her. She was the one who had scream and Riker didn’t have to go far to see what she was screaming about. Although hidden by several people, Riker clearly saw a body on the floor in the dorm room. He tried to get closer and notice for the first time how wet the carpet was. He looked left and saw the bathroom door open and a campus police officer trying to stop the flood of the water on the floor.

Riker was stopped from going any farther by an officer and people were told by the campus police to head back to their dorm. Heading back Riker saw the campus police talking to a blonde girl who was sobbing. This was not something he was hoping for. He didn’t think anyone was expecting something like this, but after entering his dorm room Riker thought he saw excitement in Kim’s eyes.
