ZARA necklace

I bought this necklace from Zara a few months ago and absolutely love it. There's something about the detail that really stood out to me. The dark metal-like colour also means I can team it up with some many outfits, day or night. Definitely one of my favourite buys of the year so far.

DOROTHY PERKINS shoes

Found these little beauties in a local shop reduced from £25 to £10! They're Dorothy Perkins shoes, with a lovely buckle and tassle detail. They're perfect for summer and have a sort of classic and chic look that you don't find easily in a lot of pumps. The detail at the front really makes them stand out from other shoes and gives them a little edge. I know I'll be wearing them a lot this summer.

I visited High Street Kensington today. I love this area of London it has a very Victorian feel, very Chelsea like which I adore. The houses and apartments in this area are absolutely amazing and have the typical London look that attract tourists from all over the world. The weather hasn't been great it's still cloudy and murky here in the city so I decided to wrap up a bit more than I usually would for this time of the year. These jeans are my absolute staple for summer, I love the material it's light and airy and the fit is gorgeous. The top is from MissGuided and it's a very simple jersey top that I adore and want to get in more colours. Teamed up with my favourite Zara jacket and a simple pair of flats and I was ready to go.

AX PARIS dress

About a month ago I went to a family wedding in in North London. The place is absolutely gorgeous and it almost didn't feel like I was in London anymore, it transported me into a whole new world. It was absolutely gorgeous. I wore a dress that I bought from AX Paris online. It had a very striking yet classic flower pattern in black and white. I teamed it up with my favourite comfortable pair of black heels from Primark, some red lipstick and wavy/curled hair. And even though I had to wake up at half 3 in the morning for the wedding, it was all worth it in the end. It really was a beautiful wedding.

YSL lipstick

I bought this lipstick a few months ago from YSL. It's a lovely pinky-red colour called 'Rouge Pur Couture' and I absolutely adore it! It's a gorgeous timeless colour and different from a lot of other red liptsicks I own. I love red, it really suits my darker complexion and I wear this colour a lot. This YSL is so smooth and lasts a really long time - I recommend it to everyone.

CHIX shoes

I got these shoes from a local shoe shop that sells buys shoes which are sold to the usual high street retail stores in bulk and sells them at a cheaper price without the high street name. I fell in love with these as soon as I saw them, I love the colour, the height (perfect for a small girl like me) and I know they will fit with lots of different outfits that I have.

Today I went to see the Great Gatsby at the cinema. It was an outstanding film, one of the best movies I've seen at the cinema in a long time. The actors, the design and the whole set up of the movie was amazing and worked perfectly in context of the story - I definitely recommend it. It was a lovely summery day today so I decided to play with prints and team up this ASOS playsuit with my Zara jacket and simple black shoes to keep the outfit edgy. Perfect for a nice day out in the sun.

a new start

I took a break from blogging to focus on my first year at university. I'm studying a 3 year BA(Hons) Graphic Design course at the University of Portsmouth. I have loved every single minute of the experience so far, I've learnt a lot and grown into a new and different style from what it was last year.

This is why I've decided to start afresh. A new style, a new way of blogging and (hopefully) no more 8 month breaks in between post.
