When I look at the Public School 2012 autumn/winter look book, I get the impression of a private school.

The look at first glance strikes me as if a Yeshiva student, or should I say, a Lubovitch school. At second glance, it takes me to an Amish school.

Originally introduced in 1965 to replace the M-1951 field jacket, it was used by soldiers during the Vietnam and Korean Wars and is still in official military service today.

Norwegian Rain Designer of the Year 2012

Tuesday evening the designer duo behind Norwegian Rain, Alexander Helle and T-Michael, received the 'Nåløyet (eye of the needle) designer of the year award' in Norway for their sartorial take on extreme hi-tech rainwear, classic with a touch of avant garde.

“We are immensely proud of being appreciated by the Norwegian fashion industry,” the pleased duo commented to the press.

“Norwegian Rain won because they stood out from the other nominees. Their technical and functional level is very high, the concept is unique, strong, and very pure. They are such worthy winners,” says Gisle Mardal, head of jury and director of Norwegian Fashion Institute.
