I can feel it in the air, and sense the holiday season! For many this is a joyous time, one filled with excitement and happiness... but for me it is also a time of introspection as I review the year of what I have done and where I have been.

2010 seemed like a long year. There were a lot of hills and valleys and a lot of self growth. I learned a lot about myself and the world around me. And I can say that I am turning a page in my Life, as a mother, a partner and woman. There is a new me emerging.. one that I am excited to show the world.. it is a matter of time for me to bloom.

Today, I encourage everyone to dig a bit deeper into your soul and uncover a layer of yourself. We often build these layers up as time goes by... it's time to shed some old regrets, past mistakes and old hear aches...:)

2011, I am ready for you.. and that is the mentality I am keeping full steam ahead!

Well... I am finally 32! I feel like I have lived a lifetime and I am ready to live yet another one.

Life has been so very good to me and has also put me through a lot. I have learned many lessons, some that i would do all over again and others I would rather leave behind.

One thing I have kept in my back pocket... there is always tomorrow. We are always given the opportunity to live another day making better choices fro ourselves and those around us. I have forgiven myself for many bad decisions and allowed myself to grow from them.

We will NEVER be perfect... then again, there is no fun in perfection.
This year and every day forward..... "Let's get busy living!"

Fall in Love with yourself all over again! How quickly we forget how blessed we are with friends, family and loved ones. How would you exepct God to bless you with more blessings if you cannot even appreciate the ones that you do have. Love where you are in life, continue to strive to be a better person and set your goals. However, never get yourself lost in what you do not have. Love you, your life and everything within your world.

My mother tells me to always be a good person, no matter what your situation is. Even though you may be in need, continue to give. If you are lonely, continue to be a joy to be around. Be the change that you want in your life. And love the life you were given!

I have resolved that 2010 will be about simplyfying my Life. To do less of the small things that don't matter and more of the bigger things that do matter. Spending time with family, rekindling friendships and realtionships and taking the time to appreciate every moment I have.

This year will be about hands on giving to those in need and bringing more meaning to my life and those around me. I will remeber that I am living to give and not to get. I do not want more material things, but more fulfilling experiences. 2010 will bring more centeredness in my life and a deeper connection all around.

Here is to 2010. Simplify!

It's Okay to Have a Bad Day!

I truly believe that we are all entiltied to one bad day!!! C'mon how can we possibly thinking that every day HAS TO BE A GREAT ONE!

maybe for some bad days never happen some of us they do, but really... don't feel guilty having bad day. I knowthat we should alwyas be counting our blessings and staying in the moment; but sometimes clouds do roll in, bills come piling in, work stinks and you have nothing to cook for dinner!

Just tough it out, hang in there and know that tomorrow will come around and be better, if we make it better!

One bad day, things are all still good..... it's when you have 365 f them that you should start worrying!!

Never underestimate the power of your family and the warmth that only a family can give to you. We get so caught up in the material things that we often mistake what life is really all about! Hug you partner today, tell them how much you love them. Kiss you children today as you will never get today back. Let them know that they lie at the center of your heart.

And, never let today slip by without thanking the Lord above for all the blessings you have in your life!

Never forget how much of an impact you have on other people's lives. Simple kind words can do miles of encouragement for someone. Random acts of kindness feed other people's souls and miraculously come back to you tenfold.

I had a situation the other night when I felt myself at a crossroads. I had the chance to empathize with someone and show compassion or be selfish and make the situation about me. I chose to help. I chose to understand. I chose to be a shoulder to lean on , and I am glad that I did.

Be a Best Friend... not a competitor. Show mercy, not arrogance. Lend encouraging words, not boastful ones. Send good vibes to others, never put them down. Be the person you would want to have in your life.

I want us all to remember that every day is a new day, a brand new start to make the right choices for ourselves. So many times, we act, think and make decisions based on past hurts and pains.
