While we�??ve all been waiting for her victorious comeback tour, Britney Spears has been gearing up for a return to television. And the �??Toxic�?? singer will be appearing on the March 24th episode of CBS�?? �??How I Met Your Mother.�??

Brit will play Abby, a receptionist at a doctor�??s office who falls for Josh Radnor�??s character Ted when he comes in to have a tattoo removed.

�??How I Met Your Mother�?? creator Craig Thomas recently told press he was overjoyed when Spears�?? peeps approached him about a guest starring role. �??Britney�??s people ended up coming to CBS and expressing interest in our show, and we were thrilled: �??Britney Spears watches our show!�??�??

And unlike most business decisions, this one happened in mere minutes. �??We heard that they read about the part on Thursday. We were literally in the middle of a re-write of that script, and they said, �??Oh, we�??re having dinner with Britney tonight, and she likes the show. Can you get her a script a half-hour from now?�?? So we just sort of busted a** for the next 40 minutes, hit print and showed her our in-progress rewrite of the episode. She got in and thought the character was really funny and said yes the very next day.�??

According to Thomas, the �??Gimme More�?? singer was an instant hit among the cast and crew. �??She seemed to fit right in! She was having a good time. She was laughing. And it�??s a very sweet, romantic episode, so the vibe in the room was just very fun. Everyone was having a good time, and I think she had a good time.�??

In what�??s been a busy day for Lauren Conrad, the Hills hottie made all the necessary last minute preparations for her big fashion show debut.

To start things off, LC was spotted getting her hair done at the Warren Tricomi hair salon on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood on Tuesday (March 11).

Opting for a curlier look, Conrad�??s do was finished up just hours before her fashion show was slated to get underway.

A little while later, Lauren made her way over to Smashbox Studios, talking to her models and looking over her presentation before the Los Angeles Fashion Week Lauren Conrad Collection made its way to the catwalk.

The cute couple held hands as they emerged from the Los Angeles establishment revitalized and ready to continue on with an evening of celebration.

Along with hitting the spa, Paris and Benji also made a stop at Nicole Richie and Benji�??s twin brother Joel�??s house - saying their hellos and passing out presents.

The former Miss Teen USA is reportedly quite excited that boyfriend Nick Lachey is re-teaming up with MTV to produce an unscripted �??reality show version of Fame,�?? according to UsMagazine reports.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the pilot, which is being called Celebrity Music Mentor Project (for now), will �??track the lives of students at Lachey�??s alma mater, the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio.�??

According to Tony DiSanto, executive VP of series development and programming, the new reality series-in-the-making will be �??similar to MTV�??s Laguna Beach.�??

As the clock struck midnight on the 31st of December, gal pals Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston rang in another New Year together. And reports that Courteney�??s hubby David Arquette isn�??t down with Aniston are false.

Apparently there were rumors that the �??Deputy Duey�?? actor was growing tired of having the �??Good Girl�?? actress as a third wheel all the time. But the fact that they were all together to ring in 2008 pretty well dispels that notion.

Given her tendency to blow off her deposition dates, Britney Spears is gaining a reputation for stalling her custody case with Kevin Federline. But that�??s all about to change.

The �??Piece of Me�?? singer missed her most recent court-ordered deposition on December 12th because she claimed she was too ill to show up. But the fact that she was photographed out all over town later that night has caused K-Fed�??s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, to toughen up on her.

Kaplan told press, �??Britney Spears will have her deposition early (next) year. We�??ve got a lot to talk about.�??

Regarding Spears�?? playing hooky, Kaplan said, �??She was, in fact, out later that day and night. It�??s not fourth grade where you get a doctor�??s note and it�??s all OK.�??

Despite her apparent desperation to regain custody of Jayden James and Sean Preston, Brit hasn�??t done anything to help the custody battle move along swiftly. You gotta wonder if she�??s afraid that her deposition will be a detriment to her case.

For a second night in a row, Paris Hilton and Kevin Federline found themselves running into each other while enjoying the Vegas party scene - with reports claiming that Paris made a move on the former Mr. Britney Spears.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the two spent Saturday night partying it up at LAX nightclub, with a source close to Federline telling People magazine that �??Hilton invited the aspiring rapper back to her hotel room that evening.�??

Continuing on with the Sin City nightlife, Paris and K-Fed both spent Sunday evening at Pure nightclub - where the former Simple Life star was hosting a party in the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino hotspot.

And it became quite apparent that the hotel heiress had moved on from K-Fed, if there was ever really any interest at all. Paris, dressed in a sparkling pink dress, spent most of the night getting intimate with a mystery man, while K-Fed hung out with the boys as they pounded Jack Daniels straight from the bottle.

Tonight, the two are hosting separate New Years Eve parties. Hilton will play emcee at LAX while Federline is lined up to get the party started at Tangerine.

Celebrities definitely have some advantages on us common folk. For instance, due to his disdain for winter weather, Simon Cowell just packs his bags and heads for the Caribbean.

The American Idol icon hit the Barbados beach along with his longtime girlfriend Terri Seymour and pal Michael Winner. Rumor has it they�??re staying at an exclusive resort, where rooms can cost anywhere from $3000 to $10,000 per night!

However, it seems that Mr. Cowell is under the weather. He was spotted carrying a packet of anti-nausea/motion sickness tablets, and a bottle or Robitussin as he sauntered from the beach to his hotel room.

Simon definitely buffed up for his beach escapade, but he says his conceited nature is common among high-profile celebrities. �??I am vain but I cannot think of one person on TV who is not. It is the nature of the beast. I have had Botox but not in an obsessive way. I just like to take care of myself. I am eating a lot better and have cut out the chocolate biscuits and crisps. It was announced earlier today that the Elder Hilton will donate 97% of his $2.3 billion fortune to charitable causes. And that doesn�??t leave the �??Simple Life�?? starlet with much left over.

The beneficiary of Barron�??s generosity will be the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, and will bring it�??s total assets to $4.5 billion. An official statement read, Barron intends �??to contribute 97 percent of his entire net worth, estimated today at $2.3 billion, including the created trusts, at whatever value it is at the time of his passing.�??

One of Paris�?? uncles, Steve Hilton released this statement; �??Speaking for the family as well as the foundation, we are all exceedingly proud and grateful for this extraordinary commitment.�??

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation exists, �??to support projects that provide clean water in Africa, education for blind children, and housing for the mentally ill. Its aims, based on Conrad Hilton�??s will, are to relieve the suffering, the distressed and the destitute.�??

Duff Sisters to Paps: Enough is Enough

You gotta hand it to Hilary and Haylie Duff - while they�??re two of the hottest sisters in Hollywood, they keep their collective noses clean, and we never see any mugshots of them floating around the Internet.

But when the paparazzi tried to infiltrate the Duff family�??s divorce proceedings yesterday, the celebrity sisters took action.

It started when cameras began following the Duffs into the courthouse, leading to a Fox News cameraman being shoved. The girls screamed, �??What�??s wrong with you?�?? as they made their way through the building.

And everything exploded when the camera crews eventually broke through the security barrier. Both the Duffs and the paps were hurling insults at each other in an R-rated four-letter-word showdown.
