Happy Thursday and Happy Baba's day ,
Long back I had posted about blessed and divine Shivaji Nagar Sai Baba Temple where Baba's tooth and his Chilum is kept .I had posted the post with all the details, giving its full history and description along with pictures and video .Few days back, sister Pooja visited the temple for Baba' darshan ,during her weekends .She got the permission to get latest pictures of the temple with little more details .I was really happy to see the pictures of Baba's divine form,the temple and the tree, after a long gap of my personal visit to the temple few years back with my family.

Earlier I had visited this blessed temple when I was very small . It was nostalgic to have Baba's darshan after such a long time and also felt blessed that Baba has given darshan to all of us by sister Pooja's voluntary Sai seva.I cannot thank her enough for this contribution to the website and getting us all these information and pictures. I thank her enough from bottom of my heart .Baba bless her always .

Today I had been to Sai Temple at Shivaji Nagar-Pune where Baba’s tooth,chilam are kept under padukas.The temple authority were very cooperative and they easily permitted me to click photographs.I had clicked total 55 photographs and out of them I am attaching best of them.You must me knowing about the tree and the photograph within the temple which were not affected at all in spite of being under water for several days when the dam had broken.So I have attached those photographs( of the tree and Baba’s photo) also.

There are two padukas one in silver and other in gold,I was told under golden colored padukas are kept Baba’s tooth and chilam and this is the only temple where Baba’s some part of body is there. It is also written on a frame on the wall in the temple.I have also attached that frame’s photograph as well as the temple from outside where we can also see the tree which has grown from inside the temple(on top of temple).First the temple was small and later when it was supposed to be extended it was constructed without cutting the tree.

Wishing you a very Happy ,Colorful and Sai blessed Holi. I have been posting about one of the oldest Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Shibpur ,West Bengal from time to time. We have witnessed that the temple at Shibpur is blessed by Baba and it is growing in its glory day by day .
In this post I want to share a good news that Pran Sthapna of Sai Baba's Pratima will be taking place in the temple on the auspicious day of Ram Navami on 24th March 2010.Along with the invitation card of Pransthapna of Sai Baba Pratima, the Shibpur Sai temple Samity has shared recent Baba's leela experienced by the devotees who visited the temple and surrendered themselves to Baba. In the year 1999 in the night of GURU PURNIMA blessing and order of Sai Baba was communicated to Sri Amit Kumar Biswas through a dream .Specifically intimated in the very dream about three miraculous happenings which will occur after 11 years and as soon as the happenings of miraculous activities took place the PRAN PRATISTHA & ABHISHEKAM shall be done instantly .

1. The great Sai son Mr. K. V. Ramani, Chennai suddenly sent the statue(Murthy) made by white marble of Rajasthan, the statue(Murthy) is just ditto of Shirdi Sai Temple which is a miraculous activity in consideration with the dream of 1999 because of we are not at all placed any prayer or request to send the Statue(Murthy). The Statue was sent on the order of Lord Sai Baba.2.Another miraculous happening happened on 24th February, 2010 at about 11.00 A.M. a snake of 11 ft. long appeared at the Sai temple of Shibpur which is the eventual activity in consideration with the dream of 1999. It is very astonishing evident that despite gathering of people in the temple the snake did not accept any disturbance while Sri Amit Kumar Biswas taking a snap very closely and the snake co-operated to take photo as human being.3.One lady of Betai Joardar Para under Tehatta P.S. in Nadia district Smt. Tapati Mondal got married before 20 years. She and her husband both are medically incompetent for growing any child. They become hopeless and helpless which lead to mentally depressed and came to Shibpur Sai Temple and after a long discussion with Sri Amit Kumar Biswas when Sri Biswas given her Sai Baba’s ‘UDHI’ which touched in the forehead of Tapati Mondal and instructed to have daily and she continued with great trust and believe and miraculously she gave birth one female child of 3 Kgs and 800 gms in January, 2010 of the blessings of Sai Baba. The baby and mother are in well condition which is also a miraculous activity.4.Besides these so many other miraculous activities happened in the Sai Temple of Shibpur consistently such as one Dharani Dhar Mondal of Shibpur was attacked with cerebral and was thrown into Coma when the relatives are waiting the doorsteps of his death but miraculously alive by touching the ‘UDHI’ of Sai Baba on the forehead and mouth within three days he is walking independently and being present himself in the Sai Temple daily.
5.One Sri Santu Mondal a student of Class XI who was attacked with facial infection and continuing medical treatment since six months continuously but getting no remedy he came to the Sai Temple of Shibpur and after having ‘UDHI’ of Sai Baba he has been free from such infection within seven days miraculously and so on almost every day.

“Those who seem or call Sai Baba as God cannot be present as well as help for Sai Temple at Shibpur. Only he or she can help attend in the temple whom I seem to be the devotee of myself…………………………………Sai Baba Shibpur Sai Temple.”

Today I am really happy to share pictures of Nagur Sai Temple,Maharashtra.This temple is very close to my heart.I had witnessed many Sai leela in this temple.
I was trying a lot to get details and pictures of this temple but to no result .Finally Sai devotee Shirish brother helped by getting the pictures of the temple and of Baba's pratima.He is also trying his best to get more and more details of the temple and is in touch with the temple authorities. History:
The idea of constructing a temple like Shirdi Mandir on a larger scale originated from Shri Sai Mandir Dhantoli. One body for this purpose was formed in 1971. For legal fulfillment one trust was formed in 1972 which was registered at same time. The present sight was purchased from Shri Banerjee in 1974 and Bhoomipujan was performed in 1976. The required funds were raised by way of donations, cultural programs. The main designer and Architect of the Mandir is Shri Shivdanmal who took pains in entire construction of Mandir.

The attractive idol is donated by Shri Babulalji Warti. This idol is identical to Shirdi mandir and the sculpture is provided by Shri Talim of Mumbai. The entire construction got completed in 1979.

The religious ceremony of Consecration of the idol was performed during period 1st December 1979 to 4th December 1979 which was celebrated by the gracious hands of Chief venerable Godavari Mata from Sakori (a place near Shirdi).

It is believed that Shri Saibaba is having his blessings on this Temple. The endeavor is made to propagate the teachings of Saibaba through programs and cultural activities.

Approximately 2000 devotees visit the temple everyday, but on Thursdays this figure raises to more than 25000.This is a very old record ,I assume it to be atleast 5-8 times more than the figure mentioned here .This information is taken from Nagpur website but there is more to be added to this as many development and activities have taken place from the time this information was put up on this website.

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple-Singapore.

Happy Thursday and Happy Baba's day ,
I am happy to share with all of you today details of Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Singapore.Before that, I would like to share how this work progressed with grace of Baba .

I had received a mail from Sister N.Priya saying, "Sister Manisha I went to Singapore to look after my sister as she was suffering from severe muscle sprain.In the mean while I wanted to collect details of Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Singapore to post in our Sai Baba Temple Website .So before returning from Singapore I went to temple and collected details and pictures as much I could."

Having the details of Singapore Temple I wished to post it in the website as soon as possible but somehow it kept on delaying .Infact ,Priya sister even reminded me through mail time to time but in spite of all this it did not get start.I tried many time to work on it but there was some power who was not letting it happen.

Ofcourse it was clear later that Baba was arranging more details to be sent to me via another devotee .

I recollect that I had sent a mail long back to a sai devotee N.Venkatasubramanian asking for Singapore Sai Baba Temple details and by now I had completely forgotten about it .

In the meantime ,I received few details from Priya sister even than the article was not coming up for publishing in the website.Later on received a mail from.Venkatasubramanian in the month of January with more details and pictures of the Singapore Sai Baba Temple which was missing in Priya sister's mail .Now the whole mystery unfolded why the post was not getting published.

Finally with Baba's grace ,I have tried to give a new look to the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Website on Mahashivaratri .I feel really blessed ,that with Baba's grace complete detail of the Singapore Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is ready to post .

I would really like to thank N Priya Sister ,N.Venkatasubramanian ,Ravi ji ,Preetesh ji for helping to get this work done with Baba's Grace .My heart felt thank to each one and I pray Baba to bless them abundantly . Jai Sai Ram .

Shirdi Sai Baba Singapore Temple:

History and background of the Shirdi Sai temple at Singapore:

The foundation stone to the pious Sai movement in Singapore was laid one Saturday evening in 2005 by a small group of friends who came together to sing Sai Bhajans: they approached the Vadapatra Kaliamman temple for permission to conduct a bhajan session. The temple agreed to their request thinking it would be a just a one-off event, and the first session of Sai bhajans happened on 19 November 2005 at the temple’s multipurpose hall.

Soon thereafter, a virtual group was formed on Yahoo, and a message was posted announcing the intention to conduct Sai Bhajans on a regular basis on Saturday evenings at the same venue. This was the modest beginning to the Sai temple in Singapore, which today sees as many as 500 devotees every week.

It is the infinite grace of Shri Sai that has blessed this modest worship center (it is not a formal temple by Singapore government’s definition, nevertheless a place of absolute bliss) with an uninterrupted flow of bhajans, aaratis, pujas and annadaan (donation of food) ever since, with ever-swelling stream of ardent devotees, seekers and philanthropists thronging the temple.

The beautiful tree of serene activity that we see today has grown from the humble seeds planted by the selfless group of friends in 2005. During the early days, the agenda for bhajan sessions was quite short: the Saturday session at 6.30 pm with Dhup Aarati, followed by singing bhajans for about an hour. At about 8pm the prasad would be distributed and thereafter the gathering would disperse. During 2006 this group conducted special prayer sessions on four occasions – Rama Navami, Guru Poornima, Deepavali and Sai Mahasamadhi (last day of Dasara).

The tradition continued in coming years, and from 2007 Guru Poornima celebrations the practice of doing the Shej Aarati in addition to the Dhup Aarati, began. Also around this time, the Thursday bhajan sessions were started, in response to a growing number of devotees who wanted to honor the hoary tradition of honoring the Guru on Thursdays.

However the lack of a dedicated space for conducting the bhajan sessions was an impediment: often the group had to make do with alternate makeshift venues for the sessions during festival seasons or other special events at the temple (when the bhajan hall would be used by the temple for other purposes such as lodging visitors etc.) But for want of a suitable alternative the practice continued, thanks to the balancing skills and indubitable enthusiasm of the devotees.

When the intention for doing a pious action is strong the entire universe comes to help, and takes the action to its logical conclusion. The issue of a dedicated venue was also solved through the miraculous intervention of a philanthropist, which is yet another example of the unique way of Shri Sai in bestowing his grace on his devotees.

As per Singapore’s laws any temple or spiritual center requires to obtain a formal permit for conducting any activity in the public domain. And since there are already quite a few temples, the Singapore government restricts the issue of such permits for creation of more temples in the island: therefore it was impossible for the Sai worship center to get a new venue for its sessions.
The philanthropist is a major industrialist who recently moved to Singapore from India, and was looking to build a Saibaba temple. After some deliberation he decided to take the multipurpose hall on the 3rd level of an adjunct building in the temple premises, on a long lease. Since this place belonged to an existing temple it did not require any new permits. The interiors of the hall were quickly renovated to create a magnificent temple within a few weeks; a marble idol of Shri Sai Baba was procured from India and was formally installed at the temple on 5th February 2008.

Since then the Sai Baba temple conducts pujas and aaratis in full accordance with the traditions laid out by the Shirdi Sai Sansthan. The temple employs a fulltime pundit who is well qualified in the Hindu scriptures and puja procedure, and has been doing full justice to the faith and love bestowed upon him by devotees thronging the temple ever since.

Another unique feature of the Sai Baba temple is – the management and routine operation of the temple is completely in the hands of an informal team of volunteers. This team is neither defined nor bestowed with any formal authority: devotees are free to take up any activity and serve. The temple performs several pujas on a routine basis, but collects no fee for any of these: all are welcome to participate in the pujas, and while they are not required to pay, any articles/money they would donate voluntarily towards the purpose is accepted. Thus the team overseeing the temple affairs remains constantly changing, with new volunteers replacing earlier incumbents who either relocate out of Singapore or move on to welcome the new devotees.

The Baba temple is a home to several families now, and has fostered a loving bond among them that will continue for several years to come. Grateful thanks to Sai for his infinite love in accepting our devotion and creating this beautiful oasis of bliss in our midst.

I am writing after a long gap ,I have been traveling and could not access net apologies for delay in replying to mails.Getting back to routine life and here I come with great news for all Sai devotees .I have received the following details from Shri Jayaranaman Uncle ji about the inauguration of a new Shirdi Sai Baba temple in Bangalore.

Today a new Temple has been constructed and inaugurated in Shantidham.

The name is Sree Manjunathaswamy temple and Sree Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, both temples are coming up in the same site.

The inaguration and consecration is between 1st Feb to 4th Feb 2010.

Subsequently from 27.01.10 to 02.02.10 Sree Shirdi Sai Geetha Gnana Yagna will be held for 7 days in the same complex.

The Sree Manjunathaswamy temple and Sree Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, are coming up in the Shanthidam Complex .

The entire project has been conceived and organised by Sri Sai Santhoshi Maatha Charitable Trust of Bangalore .

The main vigraha Prathishtapana is scheduled for 3rd Feb from 11.30a.m to 11.42 a.m which is the consecration ceremony . Effectively the inauguration is from 1st to 4th Feb only.

It has been a long time I could not write anything in this website reason only known to Baba though I tried many time to publish few good information but looks like Baba was planning something else. I would like to narrate my experiences during my second visit to Sai Baba temple at Sibpur, Nadia district in West Bengal.It will be a great service if you post this article in your website for the benefit of all Sai devotees.

Like my previous darshan of Sai Baba in this temple,I felt the similar glow in Sai Baba’s face.He seemed to me sitting there alive, smiling at all the devotees.
There are aratis held 4 times a day- early morning at 4:45 AM, noon arati at 12 PM, evening arati from 6:30 PM till 9:30 PM and the night arati at 9PM .

The evening arati is splendid, goes on for 3 hours continuously.The devotees who are very poor farmers of the village come regularly during the aratis. I spotted a dog and the locals told me that this dog is present every time during the arati. He has not missed a single arati.

During the evening arati I had the desire to take a small video of the arati and keep it to myself.An inner voice told me to stop taking the video and concentrate on the Puja and Arati.I did not listen and continued taking the videos. I tried to take two videos during the evening arati period. When the arati was over I tried checking how the videos have come.

Lo! To my surprise there were blank screens. None of the videos were recorded.I understood that I have to take Baba’s permission to click his picture here.Next morning during the Kakkad arati I asked Baba for his permission to take his morning arati video.I looked at Baba and He seemed to be smiling. Happily I took the video.It was recorded this time! I understood that nothing in this universe moves without Baba’s permission and grace.

I was hearing on my way about the various leelas Baba was performing to his devotes in this village.I thought of meeting those devotees directly and hear from them about the miracles here. I met the poor villagers and compiled all the experiences they had .Let me state here the Sibpur village Sai Baba devotees experiences here.

# Sometimes in Sep 2009 a PWD Engineer’s wife called up the President of this temple Amit Biswas. She told him that she has a happy married life but this life seems to be vacant without a child. They are married for 10 years now without an issue.The couple had visited many doctors and have taken all the medical help required but of no use.One day while coming in a vehicle she has seen Sai Baba’s picture in a shop.She asked Amit whether she can have a darshan of Sai Baba and offer puja to HIM.Amit invited him to the temple to offer Puja to Sai Baba. When she had the darshan of Baba she cried bitterly before Baba and prayed for a child. Baba blessed him with a beautiful child 10 years after their marriage.

# Guddu Gurung and Saina Guru are from Nepal. They are working in this village as watchman. They were childless.One by one four children died before their birth. Doctor’s said that Saina had some internal problem in ovary and she was not able to bear child.They consulted many doctors,finally went to Vellore for treatment. But still no cure.Finally they got a beautiful daughter after offering Puja to Sai Baba in Sibpur temple.

# One day the daughter of the priest of the temple saw that her lower portion of the face has been blackened.There were black spots on this part of the face. The priest was worried. He did not consult any doctor. Rather with full faith and deotion he smeared Baba’s udi on her daughter’s face and prayed to Baba to remove these black spots from her daughter’s face. Miraculously after 7 days these black spots vanished on its own and the girl looked normal like before.

# A child was born to a couple after 14 years of their marriage after offering Puja to Sai Baba at Sibpur temple.

# One day a devotee came for Baba’s darshan. He had severe stomach pain for quite a few days. The pain was so much that it was impossible for him to sit in this temple .With great devotion he prayed to Baba and took His UDI mixed in water.Within minuted the stomach pain vanished and he never felt that pain any more.

# There was one Sai devotee who lives in a nearby village called Gopinathpur. He had paralysis.He could not move his limbs.He consulted many doctors,took physiotherapy courses but of no use. With great difficulty and full devotion,this devotee paid darshan to Sai Baba at Sibpur temple.On his return slowly his paralysis was gone and now he can run and walk like normal humans.

# A devotee named Sunil Das had a 16 days old son. Suddenly this child stopped taking any type of food and was continuously crying. This went on for 3 days….. no food and continuous crying and shivering.Doctor’s medicine failed to cure this child. Finally they brought this child to Sai Baba, laid him near Baba’s seat and the priest touched the child’s head taking Baba’s name and applied Udi on his forehead. He child immediately stopped crying and was rather smiling.He drank the entire bottle of milk in from of everyone present there and started behaving normally.

# An old devotee of Sai Baba named Tarit Pal had a daughter who had her face paralyzed.Tarit took her daughter to many doctors but none cold cure her. Finally tarit started bringing his daughter to Sai Baba’s temple every day and applied Baba’s Udi on that portion of her face which was paralyzed.Slowly her paralysis was gone was he recovered completely by the grace of Baba when all medical sciences failed.

# There are many instance in this village where girls get married after offering Puja to Sai Baba at Sibpur temple.

# Balai Ghosh of Krishnanagar was in deep poverty. He did not have the money to meet the basic means.He tried to get a job but could not succeeded.He was totally frustrated and decided to end his life.Suddenly he got an inner message that if he donates Rs. 500/- to Sai Baba temple in Sibpur his bad days will come to an end.
This poor fellow now has nothing left with him save his bicycle.He decided to sell of this bicycle for Rs. 500 and donate this amount to Baba as dakshina.He sold the bicycle for Rs. 500/= ,went to Sai Baba temple a Sibpur and kept Rs. 500/= at Sai Baba’s feet and returned home.

After exactly seven days a distant relative of Balai came to meet him.Balai has never seen this relative.He offered Balai to join him in his business as partner. Balai need not to invest any capital for this.This relative of Balai had business of manufacturing and repairing batteries.Business grew well.After one year Balai decided to find out how much money he could profit from this business.His banker told him that he has made a profit of Rs.5 lakhs in one year.This is the chamatkar of Baba.Baba has turned this beggar to a rich man today.Balai offered Rs. 500/= to Baba and Baba returned him 1000 times that money to him.Om Sai Ram.

# At least 3 to 4 devotees told me that they have seen at midnight between 2 Am – 2:30 AM that a round ball shaped object, brightly illuminated swayed between the top of the Neem tree to the top of the temple. This ball swayed 2 to 3 times and then suddenly vanished.

# Recently a week back evening Aarti was going on in the temple. The President of the Sibpur Sai Baba temple Amit Biswas looked out side the temple and saw Sai Baba waring his dhoti,kurta and Kafni madly dancing to the tune of Kirtan. Sai Baba was dancing till the Kirtan was going on and then suddenly vanished.This incident was told to me By Amit Biswas himself.

# A lady suddenly discovered that her husband was having illicit relationship wih a neighborhood girl. She never expected this thing to happen after 15 years of their marriage.The husband was not interested to stay with her any more and used to quarrel .The lady was morose and cried.She went to Sai Baba and prayed to him to return her husband back to her.If her husband comes back to her snapping all relationship with the girl then the lady promised to offer Payasam to Baba.After one month she got her husband back.He has snapped all relationship with the neighborhood girl.

# The temple is getting built with the donation of Sai devotees. One great Sai Baba devotee Shri K V Ramani donated huge sum during the start of the temple. One day it so happened that the ceiling work has to be done next day and Rs. 5000/= was required to be paid to the masons .If the masons do not get the money they will not work.That night not a single penny was there with the temple authorities. They were worried how to resume the temple work the next day.From where to arrange Rs.5000/=. They kept fith in Baba and went to sleep. Next day morning a person came with his family to have darshan of Baba at the Sibpur temple.He has come from Dubai and heard about this Sai Baba temple from a friend in Kolkata.He paid darshan to Baba and did Puja.Then he signed a cheque of Rs. 5001/= and gave to the temple authorities as dakhina to Baba.
When Baba is there why take tensions on your head! Such is the leela of Baba.

# Cows in the village suffering from Anthrax gets cured after drinking water mixed with Baba’s udi. A cow gave birth to a calf after 6 years when udi was smeared on his head and udi mixed in water was offered to the cow.

# Every year during the annual festival of Sai Baba temple at Sibpur a gentle man Samir Bhattacharjee takes the responsibility of arranging food for 10,000 people at the congregation. Last year this person was ill. He had open heart surgery and was not in a position to take this huge responsibility. The temple authorities thought of celebrating the festival in a small way this year. Somehow at the last minute the temple President Amit Biswas appealed to the devotees to contribute whatever they can for the feast. Suddenly a huge gathering of people came with rice, pulses and vegetables. They came with so much of these items that not only 10,000 people were fed but many took the food items home as prasadam. Baba is omnipotent and omnipresent. It is difficult to understand his leelas!

# I stated in my earlier mail that the President of this temple Amit Biswas had a dream of Sai Baba. Sai Baba ordered him to construct this temple and Baba said that he will arrange all means to get this temple constructed. I persuaded Amit Biswas to tell me more about the dreams and he narrated like this;

“ I saw in my dreams a bright illumination of lights… as if thousand and thousands neon lamps were lit . I was bewildered. Then I heard a voice saying I am Sai Baba. Your great grandfather used to worship me in this temple every day for hours together. I was very happy with him. After his demise there is no puja. The place has become a jungle. I am longing for devotion and Puja here once again. “

Then Sai Baba said these things in the dream-

1.I order you to construct my temple and offer me puja every day.

2.Whoever stands near this Neem tree will feel my presence here. The Tree will remove all his sins.

3.For the construction of this temple I will be present to perform my work. The temple construction work should not stop.

4.Whoever come to this temple with full devotion and have my darshan will get all his/her wishes fulfilled.
Amit said that Sai Baba told many more things in this dream but he cannot make them public.

# Many temples of Sai Baba came up with the blessing of Baba and due to the donations by devotees.But this is the only temple which is getting constructed in a big way by the ORDER given by Sai Baba.

There are so many Shirdi Sai Baba temple across the world and it is not easy to gather information about them by sitting at one place.But when we know Baba is the Controller and Doer it becomes very easy .Since the day this website has started, I have not done any extra work to gather information ,infact Baba's sevak have been doing it and passing the information to this blessed website.

One more such information is sent by another blessed Sai sevak Archana about the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Salem -Tamil Nadu.
Pictures are taken through mobile hence they are not very clear but still we can have darshan of Lord Sainath residing in the temple in HIS full Glory .Please read the details as sent by Archana.Jai Sai Ram .

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Salem.

This temple is said to be built by Shri.S.N.Srinivasan, who was a great devotee of Lord Sainath. I am not aware of the details or the inspiration which led him to build this temple, but I guess this was built around the year 1994. This was the first temple for Lord Sainath in Salem.

The temple is situated in a huge space of land, a beautiful shrine, enclosed within the compound walls, bordering the flowering plants of various kinds on all three sides.

On one side of the temple, is a small building used for the preparation of Naivedya.Besdies this there is a small building in it is the Dwarakamayee . Attached is the picture showing the opening to the Dhuni.Also, you get to see the Dhuni doors.

Miracle :

One special miracle which I have to mention here is a couple of days before the Guru Pournima day in 2008, one morning, the priest suddenly felt he saw two forms of Baba (two idols of Baba instead of the one).

Around 8.30 in the morning, when he went to perform the usual rites at the Dhuni, he, being the most fortunate, clearly saw the form of Baba seated inside the Dhuni in the fire. Stunned and surprised, he immediately called the flower lady who was seated outside the kitchen, she ran in too and saw the spectacle.

This was observed by a few devotees who were there at that early hour and one after another all gathered near the Dhuni to see what it was all about. And most fortunate were they all, for they all saw the form of Baba clearly in the fire. He was seated, it looked as if HE was eating.

His form was clad in white, His head cloth, was seen very clearly, white in color. There were some around eight to ten devotees who witnessed this grand spectacle apart from the priest and the lady who sells flowers. Among the devotees, was one traveler, who had clicked this on his mobile and he had promised to send the pictures once he reached his place. But, I am not sure if they received the pictures from that traveler or maybe I am not aware. Who knows, if at all, he happens to read this message on this blog, he might as well be reminded of sending the pictures. That would be great..
This information was shared with us by the priest and the flower lady themselves, on the Guru Pournima Day in 2008.

As said earlier, there is considerable space to walk around the temple building, with flowering plants bordering the cemented platform. On the first Thursday of every month, our Lord is carried around in the Palki, while devotees keep fanning HIM and offer flowers and flowers in bunches .Palki is taken round and round, almost 3 times around the temple building by devotees.Picture of Palki is attached below.

Ladies and girls dance and there is a lot of gaiety on such occasion. One round is for the gents devotees to carry the Palki and the next round for the lady devotees to carry the Palki and do the fanning and the final round, all of them together do this.

I am also inserting the picture of Baba in Palki. Please pardon if the pictures are not very clear.

Devotees are not allowed to go close to Baba, but from where ever we see, we can see our Lord looking at each one of us, His eyes are brilliant and full of life.

As we walk around the Lord in the main hall, we see huge portraits of Baba, one on each side. Attaching them as well here.

On the walls of the temple, on either side is the granite slab inscribed with the eleven sayings of Baba, on one side in English and the other in Tamil.

This temple is located in Salem in Tamil Nadu, at the foothills of Yercaurd.

Landmark: Beyond the District High Court, past the Collector’s Bungalow, you shall have to take a right at the round-turn. As you keep going, a picture of Baba is there too guide you. Or you may ask any of the locals for the correct location. It is easy to get there.

To express our gratitude to BABA for all the blessing and offerings we get, we conducted a function on 15th October as Sai Mahasamadhi day.
People from all over Europe were invited and we received about 70 Indian & German devotees to attend this day. We were also very happy , to get Yagna, Abhishek & Pooja done by two Hindu Priest from the local Vinayaka temple. Also few buddist monks attended the festival.

In 2000 I undertook my annual trip to Shirdi as usual and got the blessings of Sri Sai in June. 2001 I traveled to the place where my son lived and went to the Sri Sai Baba temple there with my wife. The incident that happened there made me realize Sri Sai’s grace once again.

On August 10, 2001 Sri Baba told me in my dream through a photograph that a disastrous incident would happen in USA. Soon after the dream I contacted the American President, George Bush, through e-mail and informed him of the possibility of a disaster in USA and requested him to take preventive measures to avert the disaster.

The President thanked me and told me that as he was busy with many other duties he asked me to contact him some days later.But as my personal attention was needed for the Bhairavar Sai Baba temple I returned to India.

As the 84th Samadhi Day of Sri Sai was nearing I could not prolong my stay in USA.Unfortunately on September 11 a disastrous incident in USA victimized many hundreds of persons.
That year also I went to Shirdi on the last Thursday of the year and returned. During 2001 when I was at Shirdi Sri Baba asked me in Dwarakamayi,”Why I did not feed the devotees after building the temple.”I told him that as the Agni corner (a place for the kitchen) could not be built properly according to the vastu sastra I would carry out my promise in 2002.

I assured him that I would build the kitchen and from the Samadhi day I would start feeding the devotees and the poor.When I raised the matter of building the kitchen to some devotees one of them told me that he would give the necessary amount for building the kitchen.

He gave me a cheque of Rs.25,000/- but when the construction of the kitchen was half-way the work stopped for want of funds.I prayed to Sri Sai baba. Sri Baba assured me that he would look after the problem.

Suddenly two persons unfamiliar to me visited the temple.They saw the half-built kitchen with the necessary materials.In the next week the kitchen was ready.Some gave me rice, pulses and other food articles.

I started my work of feeding the visitors to the temple and the poor.To this day after the afternoon religious rituals ten to thirty persons are fed.2002 was over and from 2003 the work of feeding the devotees continues.

On the auspicious day of March 8, 1998 the Mahakumbhabhishekam of our temple was celebrated with éclat and fanfare. That was an event of great spiritual significance. Vedic chants were the primary programme of the celebration.

In 1998 when I came back from Shirdi my house owner asked me to vacate the house. He was kind enough to give me time to vacate the house. The house I rented was only for one year. The house owner allowed me to stay for two more years in his house. He did not give me any trouble. He was also a Sai devotee. The fact that Sri Sai protects his devotees at all times is evident from this incident.

In 1998 I was hospitalized with a serious illness. I did not know whether I would survive. Through my son’s father-in-law I got admitted in a private hospital on a Thursday, I was treated well and became normal. The doctor who treated me was a Sai devotee. We do not know through whom Sri Sai helps his devotees. This is the wonder of wonders.

The doctor advised me to take a person with me if I traveled a long distance. At the end of the year 1998 I was seeking for a person who would come with me to Shirdi. A person from Permabur rang me up and wanted to know some details about the temple being constructed. I asked him to come immediately. He came and gave a donation and got to know some details about the temple. He said his name was Sathyanarayanan and he worked as an accountant in a small company.

When I told him about my Shirdi visit he said he would come with me and asked me to make arrangements for his travel. I thought that Sri Sai himself had sent him as my health was not good. He took leave of absence from his office, came with me to Shirdi and had darshan of Sri Sai. He came back with me to Chennai. He looked after me well.

As the year 1998 passed my health improved. In June 1999 Sri Sai beckoned me. Two months elapsed. Sri Sai arranged for a person to look after me whenever I traveled long. I started on 19.9.1999 to Shirdi and stayed there on 22nd and 23rd. I shall act according to his guidance hereafter.

In 1999 I had to study my horoscope for a certain reason. There were some more days for Saturn to occupy the eighth house from the rasi in my horoscope according to transit (Gochara). Worried I appealed to Sri Baba to save me. I told him that I would suffer because of Saturn’s position in the eighth house and I prayed for his grace. I told him that I would act according to his advice. He asked me to come to Shridi once in addition to my yearly visit. I could not travel a long distance as the bone in my neck was affected. I had none to take me. After some months in September someone told me that he would come with me. We reserved our tickets for Shirdi. We boarded the train and got down at the Pune station. We went to the bus terminus.

After about 100 km of travel the conductor of the bus came towards us and told us to get down at a place where Lord Saturn was in his self-created form in a temple. When the bus reached the temple he asked us to get down and get half a liter of gingeli oil and a coconut and make an offering of them to the Lord. The bus was waiting for us for some time. A marathi conductor took pains to explain to me what I should do at the temple and this made me wonder. I did Archana at the temple and journeyed to Shirdi.

I stayed there for two days. After praying to him with all my heart I returned to Chennai. After fifteen days it rained heavily and raindrops fell on the idol of Sri Baba. I was extremely worried. I wanted to find a solution for this leakage immediately. I took an iron pipe 21ft long from the terrace and cut it into a pipe 10 feet long. I wanted to make a shelter for Sri Baba. I proposed to erect the shelter after the rain ceased in the evening.

When I was taking the pipe from the terrace, at one stage, I got unbalanced and the pipe fell on the electric wire between two electric poles in the street and the electric wire and the pipe caught fire and electric shocked me. I shouted “SAIRAM POWER OFF”. The electric wire split into two and the pipe fell down. I realized that Sri Sai asked me to come to Shirdi in advance only to save me from the afflictions of Lord Sairam. The electric shock I received would have been fatal Sri Baba has given me seven rebirths. The year 1999 ended.To be continued...

Dear all,

In 1995 I went to Shirdi. In 1996 the contractor came and did some work and disappeared. When I informed the secretary about this affair he consoled me but did not show any interest in the construction work.

I thought that the temple we construct should be on the model of the Shirdi temple. I visited the place of Thaleem Arts in Mumbai and found that they had a mould of Sri Sai similar to the one at Shirdi. I told the persons there I wanted a life-size statue of Sri Sai Baba and asked him the cost.

As the price quoted by him was very high I took with me a committee member, by name mr. parthasarathy, and started by Bombay Mail. He had the degree of Siromani in Hindi. He was a true devotee of Sri Sai.

I remembered how Sri Baba shrinking his body sat on a two-foot plank. In the train I tried to sleep in the middle berth and P.S. in the lower berth. P.S. said that he hooked my berth to the chain and so I began to sleep.

Sri Baba in the form of a human being saved me from falling from my berth. What happened was my berth was not hooked to the chain. When I got down from the berth to go to the toilet I found that the berth was not chained. It was hanging precariously without any support.

Sri baba saved us both with great care. If my berth came down and hit P.S. he would have been seriously injured P.S. was a great devotee of Sri Sai.

We had tickets up to the Kalyan station. Visit to the Thaleem Arts had been arranged. Someone should have come and met us. None came to the station. So we did not get down at the Kalyan Station.

We thought we could go to the Victoria terminus. We approached the ticket examiner that we would pay the extra fare for the Victoria Terminus.

The ticket examiner said that he would make arrangements after the train crossed four stations. The train was speeding and approaching the Victoria Terminus. We reached the station. As the ticket examiner did not come even then we tried to get down.

At that time the ticket examiner came towards us and told us that each of us should pay Rs.311/- as penalty. Getting our tickets he asked us to follow him. A special checking team was examining the passenger’s tickets. We uttered the sacred name ‘Sairam” and relying on the grace of the Almighty, Sri Sai Baba, we were following the ticket examiner. He did not take note of us. Leading us out of the station he gave us back our tickets and asked us to go. In that Friday dawn it was a wonder that we did not pay the penalty.

When we went to a place to buy a statue of Sri Baba the price was reduced very much.

In 1995 I went to Shirdi and returned. By that time the pedestal for the statue in the form of a chariot had been got ready. Those who donated money liberally helped in finishing the pedestal soon. The trust Secretary misappropriated a good deal of money and he tested my patience. A Sai devotee volunteered to get the Sri Sai statue to Chennai bearing all the expenses. The statue reached our temple. Sri Baba gave us much peace.

But as the statue made in Mumbai was hollow the Trust Secretary gave an order for a statue in Jaipur and paid an advance. The temple construction was in the finishing stages and some more money was needed. The Secretary somewhat indifferently and with carelessness, casting a sarcastic look on me told me in an imperious tone, “Give us some more amount. WE will finish the work.” His stance was a clear proof that he sided the contractor with whom he was hand in hand. The hollow statue was placed in the Dhyana Mandapam.

My heart bled and my mind suffered intense anguish. I was sad beyond description. Overcoming all my anguish and collecting myself I appealed to Sri Baba with great fervor. Sri Baba in his characteristic tone of overflowing grace told me softly but firmly,”He swindles money. You are holding my feet in a firm grip. Let him resign if he wants to. Am I not there to give protection to you, to shield you from any dangerous consequences.”?

That was a voice of great solace. There was divine intervention. The Trust Secretary resigned from his post. Through the immense grace of Sri Baba a considerable amount poured into the coffer of the temple. Devout persons of charitable disposition in large numbers literally filled the coffer till it overflowed. The Jaipur statue which was shaped quite artistically was placed in the sanctorum of Sri Baba’s shrine at Shirdi and brought to Chennai. Need it be said that these incidents revealed Sri Baba’s grace.To be continued....

In the beginning of the year 1991 I went to one or two companies known to me to get gifts for my friends. It was then that an officer in KCP asked me,’Why have you not come so far here?” He asked me to send in an application for a job indicating the salary expected. I gave the application to the office and started for Shirdi the next day.

When I returned after 15 days I found that no intimation had come from KCP. I rang up the company. They said that they had already sent the appointment order to me and asked me to join duty immediately without taking time to make a search for the order. I joined duty the very next day and when I saw the appointment order I saw to my great delight that the salary mentioned in the order was Rs.1000/- which was more than I expected. I served there for four years and retired. I got an amount 1 ½ times more than what I got in my 30 years of service. It was all possible because of Sri Sai’s grace.

In 1991 a Thursday in August the dog which was Sri Sai’s gift attained the Lotus feet of the Lord. The incidents about the dog Bhairava is included in the Bhairava Sai temple details.

In December 1991 I undertook a trip to Shirdi. I did some difficult duties in my office. So I was esteemed specially in my office.

In 1992 I collected a big amount due to this new office. So I got a good name. The office thought that only I could collect the amount due to the office. Wherever I went for collection I prayed to Sri Baba before starting. Out of the five crores of rupees due in four years I could collect atleast 3.75 crores of rupees. I went to Shirdi at the end of the year.

In 1993 I was asked to collect two lakhs of rupees from an office. The office gave me the relevant documents. I was given a big amount for my expenses. When I went to the office, the office management told me that it had spent far in excess of the amount due to us. Infact my office owed them a certain amount. But they overlooked the matter with magnanimity.

I had spent some thousands of rupees during my official visit and I was worried how to disclose this to my office. I prayed to Sri Sai Baba. Sri Sai told me,”Inform the office about the amount you spent. I shall ask the management to pay it to you.’ I acted accordingly. They asked me whether they could draw a cheque for Rs. 10,000/- and I requested them to draw the cheque in my company’s name. Sri Baba’s grace was responsible for this unimaginable incident.

(Please refer to Bhairava Sai Mandir details here for the miracle related to getting the first payment for starting the temple construction work.) In 1993 I entrusted to the Trust Secretary the construction work of the temple as he had been visiting Shirdi for a longer time than I, I had a strong faith in him.

Later I came to know that he was not a true devotee of Sri Baba. A fear was lurking in me whether the project would be carried out well. The foundation laying ceremony was held his contractor did not do his job well and I was worried. The money was not spent with much care by the secretary and my trust in him decreased.

The project which had to be finished in one year was not finished in three years. I appealed to Sri Baba. I submitted to him my problems and he told me like this:

“I entrusted to you the work of constructing the temple. I wished that the construction work should be entrusted to the Trust Secretary with a view to finding out whether he is sincere in handling the fund. If you know that he has swindled some money you will be victorious if you approach the court.

According to Sri Sai’s command a case was registered in the Consumer’s court.

This incident reveals that there are persons who do not speak much and they are self-centered. People should not be taken in by hypocrites who pose as devotees.To be continued....

Brief detail about Temple:

The land for this temple was donated by A.Gopala reddy garu,A.Srinivasa Reddy garu,&A.Nagaraj reddy garu in memory of their parents Abbaiah reddy garu and Narayanamma garu.

As per the wish of Lord Shirdi sai Baba , a foundation stone was laid in a site measuring 50X100 Ft situated at Survey no 56 of Munnekolala village,Kundanahalli gate,Bangalore for the construction of 'SAI MANDIR"on 13-10-2005,vijayadasami day.

The trust was registered and all the trustees have dedicated and contributed for the construction of the temple,and the temple building was built beautifully with good architecture .

Functions were celebrated at the temple premises on the vijayadasami day of 2006 & 2007 , incidentally which is the samadhi day of Shirdi Sai Baba. The idol of BABA arrived at Mandir on vijayadasami day in 2007 from Jaipur.

The Shirdi Sai Mandir has three floors.Lord Ganapathi temple Lord Dattathreya temple and meditation hall are in the groungd floor .

Dhini and saikoti are in the meditation hall. Saikoti is a structure with 4 walls which are built to a height of 12 feet .It was filled with soil brought from Shirdi and with Saikoti(writing Sairam) written on panchalohams(Gold plate,Silver plate,copper plate, brass plate,and Iron plate) and also the note books with Sai namam. This structure extends up to first floor.

Upon this Saikoti, Lord SAI BABA's Prathima was installed,so as to touch the foot of BABA to the floor to get the vibrations/positive power.

The first floor is a big hall which has BABA's samadhi,over which BABA's Prathima and Padamulu (holy feet)were installed.

There is a Pallaki in which BABA's prathima is there. In the second floor, there are three peetas .They are called Dattathreya peetam (9 Feet height) ,Dakshina Murthy peetam (18 feet height),and Sai Peetam(36 feet height).

You find this kind of Peetams only in this temple world over. All the peetams are decorated with Gold plated Kalasas with 2 numbers of two and half feet and one number of 3 feet. Kumbhabhishekam was performed on 9-10-2008 (vijayadasami day).

As per the wish and order of Sai Baba,Temple was inaugurated ,prama prathista of sai baba,Ganapathi & Dattathreya and Kumbhabhishekam were performed from 5th to 9th of October 2008.

Leela of Baba :

It is a wonder to note that it rained heavily on the day of installation of prathima of BABA on 6-10-08 and a garuda made three rounds on the sanctum sanctorum on the day of installation of Kalasa on 8-10-08.It rained for about 2 minutes after the prana prathista and distribution of Prasaadam. It is referred to this kind of phenomena as "Pushpavrusti" in Vedas. By virtue of all this happenings,this place has become a sacred place.

The development of this area happened with more houses and apartments during the period of construction of the temple .So this area was named as "SHIRDI SAI NAGAR".

In 1987 a marriage proposal for my eldest daughter suddenly materialized, but as I did not have enough money, I did not know what to do. Knowing of the marriage proposal for my daughter my colleague in Korattur was prepared to help me. Before I explained to him my financial condition he took me to a marriage hall to fix it for my daughter’s marriage. He told me to give Rs.500/- to book the hall in advance. As I told him I had no money he got angry. “Then why did you come with me?” He asked me. And he went away in haste.

After sometime I inspected a marriage hall near my house and booked it without any advance.It was all because of Sri Sai’s boundless grace.

This happened in the last days of October. The person who came earlier with me to book a marriage hall came to me again two weeks later and gave me Rs.10,000/- to book the marriage hall near my house. He locked the kitchen of the hall, gave me the key and said that he would come a day earlier before the marriage.

Meanwhile I went on a Thursday to a jewelery shop, “Jewel Palace,” by name. I explained my difficult financial position to the shop keeper and he told me,”Please pay me just one rupee. You take all the ornaments you want.”

I had to buy sarees and other kinds of dress. My friend, Pattana, who was near my house, got me all the textiles, in his account with “Kumaran Stores”. I paid the amount in two installments. It was all because of Sri Baba’s boundless grace.

On November 4, 1987, my eldest daughter’s marriage had to be celebrated. Just two days before the marriage I got the news that my elder brother’s health was critical and that he would breathe his last any time. Trusting Sri Baba I proceeded with all the arrangements and everything went off well. It was all because of Sri Baba’s grace.

Two days after the marriage my brother died.

Had my brother died before the marriage or during the marriage, the marriage would not have been celebrated. Without giving any room for any obstacle to the marriage Sri Baba celebrated the marriage. My brother died on the third day of the marriage.

I cannot recount all the magical incidents for which Sri Sai is responsible.

That year-end my trip to Shirdi was undertaken without any obstacle. I happily returned from Shirdi. As a special case I was given double increment by the management and I was asked to do some special duties. Sri Sai stood by me in all circumstances and saved me. Those who have complete trust in Sri Sai Baba are never let down. This is the truth of truths.

At the end of the year, 1988, my daughter became pregnant. Her in-laws had given birth only to female children. I thought that my daughter also would give birth to a female child. I prayed to Sri Baba that she should give birth to a male child. She gave birth to male children successively and the children were fondled very much and my daughter was treated with much affection by her in –laws.

The children are good-looking and they are devoted to their studies. It is all because of Sri Sai’s grace.

I would think what would happen to her family if my daughter too gave birth to a female child. Sri Baba made me happy by blessing my daughter with a male child.

At the year-end of 1988 I undertook a trip to Shirdi.

As the financial condition of my office was poor in 1989, the management brought about the voluntary retirement scheme. I wanted to make use of the scheme but the management told me that the scheme did not fit in with the personnel in the officer’s cadre.
Meanwhile, an officer gave me trouble and I prayed to Sri Baba to put and end to his ill-treatment. Sri Sai did listen to my plea. That officer’s annual expenditure statement showed that his annual expenditure was more than that of the M.D. Upset over this anomaly the M.D. settled his account and asked him to remain at home.

The officer who succeeded him thinking that I was responsible for his predecessor’s dismissal gave me trouble. That year-end I went to Shirdi and prayed to Sri Sai.

The next year i.e. 1990 I was included in the list of persons opting for voluntary retirement though I was an officer.

The person who got promoted in 1990 was ill-treating me. One day he entrusted me with some work unreasonably and I refused to do that work. Thereupon he wrote on a blank paper, “ I will sack you tomorrow,” and gave it to me.
Getting that paper I was doing my work as usual. In March 1990 I opted for voluntary retirement and I was relieved of my duties. I got all the money due and retired. There was literally an excitement in my house as the members of my family saw a huge amount. As there was some construction work pending my family asked me to complete it. I spend all the money I got as retirement benefits on expansion of my house.

I appealed to Sri Baba to show me a way out of my predicament. ‘Why did you make me spend all my money?” I cried to Him. Sri Baba consoling me told me, ”You want only money. I shall arrange for it.” That year I went to Shirdi.To be continued.....

In 1984 I had to go to Sathara on official duty. My colleague had already gone there and was engaged in repairing a machine. But the machine functioned for some time and then it failed to function. My office asked me to repair the machine and get the amount for the repairs. I had to stay in Sathara for one or two months.

My office gave me a notice which said that I should repair the machine. If I was not able to repair the machine I would be transferred to the factory, the notice said, I was held responsible for a wrong done by somebody else. I am sorry I was not treated well.

Meditating on Sri Baba I went to Sathara. With the help of an engineer and with the abundant grace of Sri Baba I got the machine repaired.

I was told that only after the machine functioned for sometime without any default I would be paid the amount for repairs.

When I returned to my office I was told to work in the factory. It was a wonder. I fell suddenly ill and I had to work in my office. I could not go to the factory and work there. This happened only by Sri Sai’s grace.

Later I came to know that the management instead of transferring a certain person to the factory from the office decided to transfer me to the factory. But Sri Baba’s grace saved me.

At the end of the year on a Thursday I went to Shirdi as usual. I took leave of absence from duty and reserved my ticket. I had darshan of the Lord. When I came back I rejoined duty in my office.

A miracle happened. The company at Sathara had written to the management of my office that I was not responsible for any defect in the machine and that the person who previously tried to set it right did not carry out the repairs properly.

On this occasion the management of my office realized that Sri Baba was always with me. Then it changed the plan of transferring me to the factory.

The year 1984 went by. In the beginning of 1985 I got a big order from the same company. It was indeed a matter of surprise and joy to my officers.

Meanwhile I was deputed to the Godrej Company to attend to some developments regarding the work I did earlier. I got an opportunity to go to Shirdi.

After I was transferred to the factory, in December ’86 a seminar was held. Though I had the qualification to take part in the seminar the G.M. of the factory and two other persons were registered deliberately to attend the seminar.

Having returned from Bangalore I asked my G.M. why I was not chosen for participation in the seminar. The G.M. told me, “You are going to retire soon. What is the use of your representation in the seminar?”

I felt very sorry. I told the G.M., “I will take part in this seminar. Without my participation this seminar will not be held. I shall pay the necessary fees myself. I have put in 30 years of service and I have every right to go to the seminar.” I walked out in a huff. I came home and told my wife,” I want Rs.1800/- I told her all that happened in office. My wife asked me,” Did you inform Sri Baba of your grievances?”
Having told my wife,” You have reminded me of Sri Baba at the proper time. I had bath and meditated on him.

Praying to Sri Sai I told him,” I don’t understand anything of this issue of self-esteem. So far I have not asked of you to raise my self-esteem. I shall abide by your directions. Shall I go to the seminar or not?” To my appeal his reply was short and sweet. “Leave this issue to me. Keep quiet.”

Meanwhile the doorbell rang. I got up and looked after my work. I did not pay the fees for the seminar.

From the next day onwards I had been attending to the factory work. There were twenty more days for the seminar. I did my duties calmly uttering the sacred name “Sairam”. I spent my time in silence. The seminar began on the 24th November 1986. It was a Sunday, November 23. On the 22nd one of the two persons registered for participation in the seminar came to office and submitted his resignation letter. He requested the management to relieve him from duty immediately.

He approached the General Manager who was not willing to depute me to the seminar and requested him to send his senior. The G.M. did not know what to do. He called me and asked me to attend the seminar on the 24th November. He said “We have paid registration fees for two persons and it is not proper that only one person attends the seminar.”

When he asked me to attend the seminar I told him,” I appealed to Sri Sai Baba and Sri Baba himself has made this arrangement. Sri Sai told me that you would work in this office only for eight months. “When I told him thus he was shocked and surprised.

I attended the seminar and got a certificate. I brought credit to my office. End of that year I reserved my train ticket to go to Shirdi on 10th. I had to carry some heavy things from Mambalam to the central railway station. Seeing me going with difficulty someone driving a bicycle approached me and told me,” Give me all your things. You please come slowly,”Loading my things on his bicycle he came up to the central station and unloaded them. He introduced himself to me and told me,” I see in you Sri Sai Baba. I have no children. Please bless me,” He went away.

That was the end of the year 1986.

In 1987 I got a letter from my head office. That was a Thursday. As Sri Baba intimated me earlier, I got transferred to my head office and my factory General Manager was dismissed. The General Manager realized that I had the blessings of Sri Baba. He approached me and asked me to pray to Sri Sai for a good job for him. From then on he moved with me intimately.To be continued.....

I had a chance to buy a house. A woman working with my wife suggested that a house was for sale and that we could inspect it. We went to the house and liked it. A broker raised its price and got an amount as advance. But we could not register that house in our names because of some unforeseen problems. I could not get the documents relating to that house. I mentally told Sri Baba that I could not pay the full amount for the house.

At this juncture I got introduced to an official in the L.I.C. and got a loan from them and the registration of the house in our names was done. This was also the work of Sri Baba. Though I had to go through some anxious days it was Sri Baba who finalized the house deal. I named the house “Sri Sai Kripa”. Thus the years 1980 and 1981 went by. As usual I went to Shirdi.

In 1982, I undertook a trip to Shirdi. In 1983 my company set up a new factory where I had to plan schemes of development. By Sri Baba’s grace and blessings and by my efforts I got good orders from the companies I approached. The new factory expanded fast and I was given promotion and given higher salary. This was undoubtedly Sri Sai’s miracle in my life.

In the middle of 1983 I was asked to vacate the rented house in which I lived. The house-owner gave me sufficient time to vacate the house. My last child, -Baba’s gift-Caesar the dog, had to be with me. But no house where I could keep my dog with me was available. Then I came to know that a portion in the first floor of a house near the house where I lived was available for rent. The house-owner was in Coimbatore. There was much competition for that portion. I went to the Mylapore Sri Sai Temple and prayed. I thought of trying for that portion through a Sai devotee in Coimbatore. I wrote a letter to that woman-owner who asked me to vacate the house within a particular period and I assured her that I would do so.

The house-owner of the portion in Coimbatore did not reply to me at all. By chance my officers asked me to pay an official visit to Coimbatore for some days. This was again the blessing of Sai. Meanwhile that Sai devotee’s father asked her why she had not replied to my letter. That woman told her father that she did not know to which house I referred. He told her that it was the house near her uncle’s house. He took her that Mr. Meenakshi Sundaram was in a difficult situation and asked her to help me. She went to her uncle’s house and recommended my case for rent. Her uncle wrote to me a letter in his hand giving me the house for rent.

When on the next day I reached Coimbatore I contacted the house-owner over the phone and he told me that he had already written to me reserving the house for me. He thought I was calling from Chennai and when I said I am speaking to him from Coimbatore he asked me to come to his house and the same evening I paid the advance and fixed the house for rent. It was only through Sri Baba’s grace that I got the house for rent. To be continued.....

In 1976 I incurred some unexpected expenditure and was greatly perturbed whether I could undertake a trip to Bombay. But what happened struck me with wonder. Some years ago I worked in a company for some days. But I did not get the payment for my short service. As I was deputed by the company in which I am working now to go to various places on official duty often I had not the time to get the amount. I did not bother about the amount at all. Suddenly on a day prior to my departure to Shirdi, I happened to meet the Accountant of the company in which I worked formerly. He told me that the amount payable to me was in suspense account and asked me to come to his office and get the amount.
It was Sri Sai Baba who arranged my meeting with the Accountant. I had no need to postpone my trip to Shirdi. So going to my former office and getting the amount I reserved the railway ticket to Shirdi. This was an incident which revealed Sai Baba’s grace.

In 1977 I got Sri Sai’s permission to go over to Shirdi and wanted to stay there as long as Sai Baba wanted me to stay. I started earlier than I intended. But my hasty decision made me experience a lot of problems on my journey. Each time I got into a wrong bus and had to spend extra money. I lost sleep. At last I reached Sholapur. I rested at the station in the first class passenger’s room and cried to Sri Baba that I would not go against his wishes. I prayed to him that the rest of my journey should be smooth. From Sholapur I returned home comfortably. If I behave disrespecting Sri Baba’s wishes I would suffer. Since I underwent this experience without asking for Sri Sai’s permission I would not do anything against the Lord’s wishes.

In 1978 there was a problem in my office. In a Government factory at Jabalpur a big machine was functioning for four years. But the Indian Agency commission amounting to two lakhs of rupees had not been paid. Many went there many times, but the amount was not paid. My office order was that I should seek the help of a foreign engineer to check the machine. I should submit the relevant documents on the recommendation of the engineer and get the amount due. I meditated on Sri Sai Baba and asked him whether I could go to Jabalpur. With his permission I went to my office and told my officer that I would return with the amount.

The foreign engineer reached Jabalpur by plane. At the time of inspection by the engineer Government officials should be present. As soon as I reached Jabalpur I took the foreign engineer and went to the Government factory. I met the officials there and discussed with them the arrangements. We arrived at the decision that the inspection could be done as early as possible. I took the engineer and showed him the machine. Inspecting the dust-laden machine he said that he could not carry out inspection of the machine. He said that as the machine had not been used for long there was a layer of ¼ inch-thick dust on it. He left for Bombay that night itself.

I was shocked. How could I get the money without inspection of the machine? I had told my officers that I would return with the amount due. I prayed to Baba. I told Baba, “I shall come tonight to Shirdi. Please save me from this problematic situation.” I told my officers on the telephone that the inspection could be done the day after tomorrow as the foreign engineer was not willing to carry out the inspection.
On the afternoon of the next day I went to Shirdi and meditated on Sri Sai. I prayed to him to save me from a crisis. When I was travelling that night Baba suggested to me in a dream a good idea. According to the idea I went to the authorities of the company and asked them what kind of work has been carried out in the machine? I noted down all that they said. I brought to the attention of the higher authorities the kind of work done by the machine. I asked them why a machine in such good condition should be re-inspected. I went to production engineer gathered more details. I wrote down all the details in a paper and got the engineer’s signature on it. I took the paper to a higher authority and asked him why should the machine in good condition be stopped from functioning for two or three days? I told him that the static test was not necessary.
I informed him that bills had not been paid for two or three years. The officer concerned seeing all the details in my paper asked me to resubmit the bills. He promised me that the payment would be made. I took the bills with me to the accounts Department and got them signed by the higher authorities. I got the amount due. At about 10 a.m. the next morning I got a cheque for Rs. 2lakhs and returned to my place. From this I learnt if I pray to Sri Sai Baba sincerely and appeal to him and beseech him, He will certainly help me. I began to believe that Sri Baba will solve my problems if I pray to him with intense devotion relying on Him and him alone.

When each year I travelled to Shirdi I would pray to Lord Sai Baba to give me a good, faithful dog. I wanted to be like a faithful dog to him. In 1978 when I was going along a road on a Wednesday night an old man seeing a tiny dog roaming about without protection in the street asked me to take it and rear it. I was about to take that dog. I realized later that I was in a dream. It was a Thursday morning. When an English newspaper fell on me I woke up from the dream.
On that Thursday morning at about 10 a.m. when I was going to the harbour on official duty a muslim boy was taking a ten-days old pup brought form Tibet. As his religion did not allow him to rear a dog at home he brought it out. I was attracted to that dog. I was observing it. As I was going on official duty I did not know whether to take it with me or not. That boy enquired of my address and came to my house in the evening along with the dog. He entrusted it to me. He said he wanted no payment for the dog. But I paid him Rs.15/- saying something he left. From that day onwards that dog has been growing in my house as one of my children. In the year 1973, I went to Bombay and I resolved that I should not come back to my head office without going to Shirdi. I took two days leave. I wanted to perform special Abhishekam to the Lord. So I went to a shop and gave an order for the required articles for the Abhishekam. Only those who are in the list of the first 200 persons can stand near the Lord. The shop owner who took money from me said that he would make arrangements for my number to be included in the first list of 200 persons. He did so. I was happy I could be near the Lord I worship day in and day out.

The next day at 8 a.m. a man brought me the Abhishekam ticket and got the balance amount from me. After about an hour I saw the number on the ticket. The number was 620. I got confused and sitting in a place I meditated. I was waiting for my turn. It was only a few minutes for the Abhishekam to start. Suddenly someone came to me and asked me what was the number of my ticket. I told him that the number was 620. He said that as his friend did not come for the Abhishekam he was going away and that I might use his ticket. I came within the list of the first 200 persons. My joy knew no bounds. As my turn with the number 620 would come after 3 p.m. I could not board the bus for return to Bombay. Only the great Sri Sai Baba miraculously helped me through a stranger.

In 1974 I got chances to go to the shrine twice. Once I went during the Sri Rama Navami festival. I became intimate with one C.D. Deshmukh. He bought betal leaves, coconut and other things for the archana. I too bought the Archana articles in the same shop in which Deshmukh bought. The coconut I bought was unhusked with the basket of the Archana articles in my hand I sat in a corner in the temple and began to husk the coconut. The coconut was found to be of irregular shape. I was a little worried why it was so. Could it be broken into two halves exactly? Why this test, Baba? There was no time to buy another coconut. I was crying within myself that this coconut should be broken into two exact halves.

After the sankalpa was over one after another went near the shrine of Sri Sai Baba at his Samadhi and garlanded it. The priest placed my basket containing the coconut and other things on a light cabinet. The cabinet was about 2 ½ feet high. Before I got up after prostrating myself before the shrine the coconut fell down unbalanced and broke into two exact halves. Everyone including the priest wondered at this strange happening. It was my coconut which was broken first. The priest told me, “This is your luck. Baba will always protect you.” That year went by enlightening me more and more about Sai Baba’s greatnesss.

I had to go to Bombay in the last week of December 1975. But I had to go to Hyderabad earlier on official duty and stay there. Mahasamadhi day when Baba attained Samadhi was approaching fast. I was at a loss. As I had gone to Hyderabad on official duty I had no chance of availing myself of leave. There were some more days for my official work to be over. Without feeling hesitant I asked my foreign engineer for two days leave of absence and he unhesitatingly granted me leave.

I returned to Madras immediately. I went through the railway time-table by chance. I happened to read an interesting advertisement in the Deccan Chronicle. It read like this: In a place called Kachaguda a person earned some lakhs with an investment of a small sum. He raised a Samadhi for Sri Sai Baba like the one at Shirdi and installed a small statue of Sri Sai Baba. Seeing the advertisement I changed my plans. I thought of going to Kachaguda and wanted to perform Abishekam to the statue. When I went to the Sai devotee’s house the devotee entrusted to me the duty of performing the Abhishekam to the statue. I did not know why he did so.

After the Abhishekam was over I returned to my lodge and stood at a bus stop. My attention was attracted to a lottery agent’s shop nearby. It was Meeta Lottery Agency. I spoke to Baba in my inner being and asked him for permission to buy a ticket. A boy in the shop gave me a ticket. Someone else plucked that ticket and gave me another ticket. I told Sri Baba in my heart of hearts that I would give half the amount if I got a prize in the lottery.

The drawing of the lottery was held. On the day of drawing I was very eager to know the results. I was sleeping at night and I controlled my eagerness. I wanted to go out and look into the newspapers. A bell rang and I considered it a good omen. At about 1 p.m. I opened the newspaper and the page in which the results were published opened on its own accord. I found that I had won the third prize of Rs.500 /- I remembered my vow to set apart half the amount I had won to Sri Sai Baba and went to bed.

The next morning I went to the lottery agent’s office and was given Rs.500/- That evening I went to the Sai Baba temple and did Archana. I shared this news to my friends and to my family members and I reserved the ticket to Shirdi . I changed half the amount of the lottery prize into new currency notes and made a garland of them. I wanted to adorn Sai’s statue with that garland. We did Abhishekam to Sai Baba adorning the statue with the garland of currency notes we enjoyed the rapturous scene.

When I went back to office after my leave was over my officer, Mr.K.V. Satagopan called me and told me that my salary had been fixed on a higher grade and because of the increased salary I would get Rs.500 more/-. He gave me the letter of increment and I shed tears of joy. It was undoubtedly Sri Sai Baba’s miracle. Just because I gave half the amount of my prize in the lottery Sri Baba thought of giving me an increment in my salary. The year 1975 passed with these incidents. To be continued.....

However, please do mention full name and location of the person for whom the prayer is to be offered. For this Seva I seek for HIS blessing.From the word seva few lines from SaiSatcharitra I recollect where Sadguru HIMSELF has said about seva (service )..

"Seva is not rendering service, retaining still the feeling that one is free to offer or refuse service. One must feel that he is not the master of the body, that the body is Guru's and exists merely to render service to him."

This is said when Baba interprets a verse from the Bhagawad to Nanasaheb Chandorker who prides on his knowledege of Sanskrit and thinks Baba knows nothing of Sanskrit.
I pray to my Sathguru to guide me in this seva .Om Sai Ram .

About Udi:

We have read in Sai Satcharita that Baba took Dakshina from all, and out of the amount collected, He spent a lot on charity and purchased fuel with the balance left with Him. This fuel He threw in the Dhuni mayi- the sacred fire, which he kept ever burning and is still burning blessing- lakhs of Babas children. The ash from this fire was called Udi and it was freely distributed to the devotees at the time of their departure from Shirdi by Baba Himself.Whenever any devotee suffered Baba made arrangements to send Udi for His/Her relief.(one such incident is Jamner Miracle which is mentioned in detail in Sai Satcharitra, though there are many more such stories ...).

Whenever I read Sai Satcharitra one sentence always takes my attention where it will be written "Baba sent him with Udi and blessings".

Thought about it and realized its importance and power.From childhood till now it is habit to apply UDI on forehead and take a pinch of IT in the mouth ,whenever there is anything which cannot be immediately taken care off in case of health or any kind of issue the whole burden of getting it treated or taken care is on UDI and Shirdi Sainath with full Faith ,and have received the blessing of being taken care .Without UDI our life is incomplete.It has to be in our home,in our pockets,in our purse and a little bit extra for those whom Baba sends.

What did Baba teach or hint by this Udi? Baba taught by His Udi that all the visible phenomena in the universe are as transient as the ash. Our bodies composed of wood or matter of the five elements, will fall down, after all their enjoyments are over, and be reduced to ashes. In order to remind the devotees of the fact that their bodies will be reduced to ashes, Baba distributed Udi to them. Baba also taught by the Udi that the Brahma is the only Reality and the universe is ephemeral and that no one in this world, be he a son, father or wife, is really ours. We come here (in this world) alone and we have to go out alone.

It was found than and is even now found , that the Udi cure's many physical and mental maladies, but Baba wanted to din into the devotee's ears the principles of discrimination between the Unreal and the Real, non-attachment for the Unreal, by His Udi and Dakshina. The former (Udi) taught us discrimination and the latter (Dakshina) taught us non-attachment. Unless we have these two things, it is not possible for us to cross over the sea of the mundane existence.

So Baba asked for and took Dakshina, and while the devotees took leave, He gave Udi as Prasad, besmeared some of it on the Bhaktas' foreheads and placed His boon-conferring hand on their heads. When Baba was in a cheerful mood, He used to sing merrily. One such song was about Udi. The burden of the Udi song was this,"Oh, playful Rama, come, come, and bring with you sacks of Udi." Baba used to sing in very clear and sweet tones.

Not only spiritual significance UDI also has material significance. It confers health, prosperity, freedom from anxiety, and many other worldly gains.

One can read more about Udi in the chapter number 33 and chapter 34 of Shri Sai SatCharitra, it is mentioned all through Sai SatCharitra where devotees flocking from various part of world would be blessed and sent with Udi by Shri Sai Baba and are taking even today ......
