Shirdi Sai Dhanvantari Dyan Mandir.

Introduction:

Sri R Sathish belongs to Telugu Speaking family but was born and brought up at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. In 1979, his family got shifted to Bangalore and a house was constructed at the present property. Sri Sathish worked as an Hardware Engineer and Hardware Supplier for 24 years before quitting his business and starting this Dhyan Mandira.

This is a meditation hall, situated at JP Nagar, Bangalore.

Situated on the 3rd floor of a commercial complex in a busy locality, this place is ideally like a “home of bliss” on the tree top. Baba, in the form of a life sized picture, seated in His usual posture, lovingly welcomes us.

Just like Samadhi Mandir at Shirdi, photos of devotees of Baba are all framed, decking the top portion of the walls on both the sides.

A book rack, is very neatly organized which has volumes of Shri Sai Satcharita in all Indian languages, neatly arranged, from Malayalam to Urdu. This rack also has a section for Brail Shri SaiSatCharita and Children’s Sai Baba. Devotees can sit, read and place the books back.
Now, this Dhyan Mandir would be like an open well furnished, silent, well maintained hall suited for meditation. But there is this chair, made of cane, an easy-chair which is fitted with soft, very soft cushions. The arms of the chair are also fit with hand rest cushions on both sides, so is the feet part of the chair.

The story of this chair is Divine by itself:

In the month of September 2010, few devotees out of love for Baba, wanted to chant His Holy name at least for 12 hours. The permission was sought for the same and it was readily agreed by the owners of the Dyan Mandir.

That first naam jap was conducted on a Sunday, with incessant chanting of His Holy name by a few devotees who chanted with love and joy. As time glided and as it was the time for evening arati, the auspicious vibrations began to be felt by everyone in the hall. Few rows of lamps were lit as the chanting continued. The whole hall experienced a very special effect of vibrations and the experience each one had after the evening arati are very electrifying.

As chanting was in full vigor, almost three people felt that, someone was telling that Baba has come and HE needs a chair to sit. There was nothing that could be done, but getting the chair used by the person taking care of the dyan mandir, spread with neat white clothes and placed in the front, near HIS portrait.

As the arati was about to conclude the naam japa after 12 hours, there were very strong vibrations and many felt an aged elderly person walked around the hall, while many did not see that phenomenon.

As the Nam Jap was very electrifying, it was decided to be held again for 12 hours in the next month. Mr.Prakash (an elderly person who was working in the US some ten years ago, but who had quit his job to spend his life in the service of Baba), who was appointed to be in service taking care of the Dyan mandir, and attending to the devotees, had conveyed to a few devotees that one of those evenings, he had a vision of Baba walking around in the hall. It was thence decided, a chair had to be placed for HIM and few devotees willingly, rather lovingly, contributed and got an easy chair made of cane and equipped that with very fine cushions specially made of fine soft cotton, so as to make that comfortable in the best way.

The second month’s naam japa was thus held and thus it went on. As every naam japa progressed, the devotees’ experiences increased. I am afraid they are too many, to be presented here. A few will be added at the end, as the inspiration flows in.  There was annadhana 4 times a day, whenever Nam Japa happened. It was one Sunday every month. After the naam japa concludes with the arathi, devotees sang bhajans and carried Baba in His chair around the hall, like a small palki procession.

It was causally discussed that Baba would provide an elevator if 14 naam japas are conducted there (thus summing upto 1 Sapthaha). It is not very surprising, last month October, an unknown devotee had voluntarily presented to bear the cost of the elevator.   Apart from this, the first year’s anniversary was celebrated in a very grand manner in March 2011, with a 3 day celebration.

Bhajans on the 1st day and Sat Charita Parayana was on the 2nd day, with every chapter being read in each language. 3rd day was Naam Japa which concluded with a grand chariot procession (2 fine white horses and a chariot was arranged for Baba to be taken on a procession from the Dyan Mandir to Sai Baba temple at BTM Layout). There was bliss in the air and excellent bhajans on the way. Though the distance was a very short one, the procession went slowly with all grandeur. On reaching the temple at BTM Layout, bhajans were done and everyone there, saw a very broad smile on the marble form of Baba there. None could deny that special phenomenon. Added to this, was a blessed devotee, who saw a white form, emerge from the group and merge in the marble murthy of Baba.

Ram Navami, Guru Poornima and MahaSamadhi are also observed with lots of love and devotion.
A cradle made of love, was done in hand by devotees during Ram Navami, apart from the Gopal Kala and Nam Japa.

For Dusherra, marking the Maha Samadhi, rows of dolls (Bommai Gollu), are arranged in steps, depicting various scenes from Sat Charita.

Also, Lendi Bagh is set on one side with the well and this arrangement is made to stay for the full 9 days and yes, Nam Japa is on one of those 9 days. It is 2 years now, since this is being observed and would be a regular phenomenon ever Dusherra in the forth coming years.

Apart from this, every Thursday there is a bhajan.

Shiv Rathri is also celebrated with a small setting of Kailash.

Every month, the naam japas would be made special with a specific setting. Like, the 9th month of Naam Japa, the decoration was on the Nava Vida Bhakthi. The 11th Nam Japa had a decoration on one corner, with a small hillock made of sand with 11 steps, and lamps lighted in every step and on the peak was a small marble mantap where our beautiful Lord was seated. Every step, was marked with one of the 11 asurances. One of the months, there was a Neem Tree setting and thus, every Nam Japa, sees some tiny special decoration in one corner of the hall.

This March 18th would mark the 2nd anniversary of the Naam Japa. And it almost 20 Nam Japas till now. And it would go on forever.

Every month, one Sunday would see a Naam Japa happening here at the Shirdi Sai Dhanvantari Dyan Mandir, from 8 am to 8 pm.

Under the Divine inspiration of Baba, Mr.Sathish got this Dyan Mandir constructed and while he has materialized this most beautiful hall of Prayer, his wife, Mrs.Indu Sathish is the dedicated lady who adds breath to his material. With the elevator beginning to function in March this year, Mrs. Sathish plans to get the senior citizens devoted to Baba, from old age homes and let them treat themselves to a divine experience, as and when time permits.

At 8:00 p.m, every night, a special bed which was custom made for Baba is spread out on a mat on the floor and a soft pillow and a razai (if the climate is cold) or a cotton blanket(if the climate is warm) is placed without fail. It is believed that this special bed if for Baba to rest. 3 or 4 devotees had seen in their dreams, Baba sleeping here.   

Few Experiences By Devotees Of Dyan Mandir:

1.On one naam japa day, a devotee said, she saw Shri Krishna emerge out of Baba’s heart. “..I was surprised, I could not believe but it is true. I even wondered if it was imagination. But I really felt as if Shri Krishna emerged out from His Heart”.The very same day, she said this, another devotee by the name Sunil, said, he saw a divine glow in Baba’s heart. He was not aware of the other devotee’s experience.

2.It was the day after Diwali 2010. Rain was pouring in torrents. A bhajan singer, who badly wanted to light some lamps in Dyan mandir, had reached dyan mandir inspite of the rains. Only Mr.Prakash, was there and they had all the windows closed and the fans switched off, due to the heavy rains. But the moment, this singer lighted all the lamps, both of them witnessed, the rocking chair, rocking itself in full swing. Both of them testified to this grand spectacle.

3.This was in January 2012. The Nam Japa was going on and sometime in the afternoon, around 3:00 p.m, I saw Baba sitting in the rocking chair. I blinked my eyes and for that brief second, I did see Baba dressed in white, seated on the chair. The next second I could not see His form but I found the rocking chair rocking by itself. – Shankar.

Mr.Prakash adds another experience of his. He says one night, towards closing time, he saw bright white light which took the shape of Baba, come through the window sills inside. To quote his exact words, “Baba came, I could see only His top portion, the head gear and all, that made me identify HE is Baba. He just walked through these window grills. He just came in. Then all blank and calm as before.” I always have the habit of chanting the name of Govinda when I show agarbathi to Baba. As I was doing this one evening, I had the blessed vision of Lord Venkateshwara behind Baba for one second.

4.A colleague of mine had a serious medical complication in her throat. She was undergoing treatment which caused her much anxiety and extreme pain. I had many times spoken about this Dyan mandir to her, but she had not shown any interest to visit. Though, we both used to board the same cab to office and this was very much on the way. One Monday evening, all of a sudden, she said she would come and got down along with me and we went up. Within few minutes, another young school boy, who is a regular devotee, aged 10 years had come. He said, “akka, I had a dream yesterday night. Baba was standing here. He was looking through these glass windows. He was pointing that side and said, that is my devotees house. She has not come to visit me for so long. And then I could see this picture, but there was blood in His neck, I did not know why. His throat was bleeding. I could see those blood drops fall on His kafni”. My colleague started crying. So did I. This boy knew nothing. My colleague had told me, that just the previous night, she had questioned Baba, as to why that she had to suffer like this and when would her throat get alright. The stitch had caused her acute pain. She was crying, she said.  

5.One devotee who regularly attends the naam japas, said, she received Brahma Gnana here. One evening, as I was attending the nam jap, all of a sudden, I felt I heard an inner voice ask me to close my eyes. I did. I did not see anything but after sometime, I do not know what happened, I woke up only when the voice instructed me to open. I was questioned, what did I experience. I said nothing, It was blank. I had not even known if I had slept. But I knew I did not sleep as my posture was all steady. I thought over and said, “Absence of consciousness” is all I felt. The Supreme voice said, “Yes, exactly. That is the state where everyone has to go to. That is the state you have to achieve.” I could visualize a swing and myself on the swing. I could later see my body absent from the swing but I still felt I was on the swing. Then that means, there was something of mine, in the swing, though I could not see my body. My body was no where in the picture, but I was there. So I AM NOT THE BODY. That spirit of mine was identical to Baba’s. We were ONE in nature. Just that the deluding phenomenon of repeated samsaras combined with its delude of attachments/emotions, etc, lead me to forget my real nature. I have just put it very briefly, because I can not put that experience of mine in words.

6.It was Sri Ram Navami day, 2011. I was at the Dyan Mandir. Just 4 days before this, I was blamed and scolded by someone whom I trusted and loved much. In that emotional outburst, I had said, “If I am such a person who does mistakes, as this person blames me to be, Baba, please do not eat from my hands again”. I had forgotten that I had told this to Baba, 4 days ago, while I was weeping. On that Shri Ram Navami day morning, I felt my eyes closed and a very brief dream in that very brief second as if agarbathi smoke was seen and that Baba is hungry. I did not understand. I suddenly felt a strong feeling inside me that I should feed Baba something. I had not taken anything along with me. I just had a banana in hand and as I went near Him, I felt a strong inner voice, repeatedly telling me, that “I need something sweet. Something sweet, something sweet..” I constantly felt it. It was a rapid repetition. With no thought, I looked in and found some sugar packet which they had kept for abisheka. Caring for nothing, I tore open that packet and dipped the banana in the sugar and fed Him. I could feel the vibration when I take my hand near His picture to feed Him. I can feel the magnetic pull. I am telling this very strongly because, there was another day, when I had scolded one girl and when I tried to feed Him something, the fruit broke by itself to 2 pieces and fell on the ground. I took something else and tried again, but the magnetic pull was absent that day. Whereas many other times, I have experienced this pull.

7.Santhosh, an ardent devotee of Baba, attends every Nam Japa happening here.December 2011, his tickets were booked to Shirdi on the same day of the Nam Japa. But as he opted to attend the Naam Japa, he had got his tickets cancelled with a heavy heart. In prayer, he had requested Baba itseems, "Baba, after much trouble I procurred tickets to Shirdi and I have cancelled them now, to attend Your nam japa. So, please, You come from Shirdi this month and let us enjoy Your darshan on nam japa".

Just prior to this incident, I was not very sure if I would be attending that months nam japa or not as I was not in Bangalore. As I was worried over it, in sleep, I had a dream which went like this. I could see myself attending the nam japa and it all seemed so realistic. I felt someone walk first and then an old man in white dhoti walk past. I look around and could hear the chanting going on.. and I suddenly woke up. It was then I realised that it was a dream. I recollected the dream. One thing was clear, Baba showed me that I would attend that month's nam japa without missing it. Excellent. Next was, something else was shown which I ws not able to catch. I tried.. yes, some old man walked inside the hall. Before that, someone else walked inside. Who was That ?? I could not see a human form, but sure, someone walked.. Oh.. Would Baba be making His physical appearance this nam japa I wondered.. And later I did not give much thought to it.On the day of the nam japa, a devotee volunteered to prepare Dal and as the time for Madhyan arati was nearing, the plate for Baba's naivedya was getting ready. Ghee was added more, along with rice and dhal and some kheer and butter milk. The clock struck exact 12, we were about to start the arati, when 2 school girls said, there is an old Fakir who has come downstairs. And immediately a plate of rice and dhal and ghee + kheer and a container of butter milk was sent.

The girls carried it downstairs and said, The old Fakir chose to sit on floor outside, just beneath the banner of Nam Japa. He had food. And upstairs, we were busy doing the arati. Just before the arati was about to get over, I was inspired to go down and see, but before that the girls came up, telling He had His food and went. The arati exactly concluded. We were like.. Oh.. we missed, we should have gone along.. than staying here for arati we thought. We tried to have a glimpse of Him through the window.. No.. we could not see anywhere in the lane. How could He have walked so fast no one knew. It was then, it struck me, my dream... Gosh.. some one did enter the hall, I felt it in the dream. And Santhosh said about his prayer.

Baba had made His physical presence that day.

That after noon, felt a little low. All cushions are here set for Him, and at Shirdi, all royalties set in gold.. etc etc.. but, see our Baba, HE comes as a Fakir.. and He chose to sit on the floor in the road.. :( :( :( :(

8.It was one Thursday very low, very upset and in a bad mood. It was around 7 am in the morning, I was at the Dhyan mandir, trying to do the little seva I could. Generally, no one comes before 9 am in the
morning. One the maids who help and the aunty, who owns the place. Noone else comes. But that day, aunty was at Shirdi.

I was just mixing chandan for Baba, as I kept talking to Baba, I told Him, Baba, I want to see YOU, please come, Please come. I was telling it so strongly, as the pain in my heart was too high at that moment. Exactly 2 minutes after I told this, I felt the door which was half open, a figure of a lady emerge from there. I looked up. She was wearing a torn nightie and had a shawl over her head and around her.
She looked middle aged to me. The moment I saw her, I gave a shriek in fear and she too shrieked. I had not expected her and I just got scared. And as her appearance seemed odd to me, I got a little scared.
Now, that the maid had also gone down for tea and I was alone.. I thought, now I am scared, I shall go down. But then I thought, Baba is here, why should I fear this lady now. I am not alone, Baba is along.

So, I continued doing what I was doing. This lady looked at me and asked, something about the temple timings and I do not rememeber what I answered her. But seeing her, strange appearance the fear was still gripping me, I was just trying to be normal.I was surprised about one thing, that she spoke very fine English,despite her attire and her dressing. She told me, she wanted to go to Shirdi and that she has no money. She hardly can afford a meal and that she has been having this desire of going to Shirdi and she wanted to start imemdiately. I had given her a half bisucit packet which was there, as she said she was hungry. I applied the chandan for Baba's photo and by the time, things were over, the maids had also come and my fear had also gone. This lady was reading Sat Charita and by that time, she had also completed and got up. We got ready for the arati. I waved the arati and I requested her also to wave the arati for Baba.She refused. She said, she had not had her bath and that she wanted to go to Shirdi. Not knowing what to do, I thought let me do little help I can to some devotee who is very keen on going ot Shirdi, I opened my purse and found 1000 Rupees and some change. I handed over the Rs.1000 note to her and told her, this should help her in her expenditure for buying the railway tickets.

She said, she does not know which train to go. I said, you can start today itself, Karnataka Express. For her accomodation, I thought I shall call up aunty and inform about her, as since that aunty was at Shirdi, she might help her in providing accomodation. So, I gave her aunty's number and address at Shirdi and all other details written neatly on a paper along with the train she is suppsoed to board etc. I asked her, if she could manage to buy her return ticket then good, else, aunty might help her. or Baba might help her in some way. She said, she will not return back from Shirdi. Once she goes, she would stay there. I told her, that is fine. There are many ashrams where Baba would sure provide her accomodation. She took the money and Sai Sat Charita with her and a biscuit packet which I had given her, and she left the place. As she left, I wondered, dressed like this, how is her English so refined. The maid who was cleaning asked me, how does she speak this language. The manager, Mr.Prakash who had come by then, asked me, why do you entertain giving money to such devotees, she looks mentally imbalanced. I told him, I do not know anything about her. Later, I called up aunty and told her, that I had given her address and all this happened. Aunty was almost weeping over phone. She said, I am soo glad, Baba came to our Dhyan Mandir today. She also said, okay, if that lady comes, I shall do the necessary help here at Shirdi and keep her comfortable, but I am sure, she will not contact me nor come here.
Because I feel, she is Baba.And we waited for few days, there was no news from that lady. She had
not called aunty, she did not show up again at Dyan Mandir. I never saw her...

9.Another thursday morning, I visited the Dhyan mandir. That day, I was just trying to rush to office. I was hurrying up, when I expressed this fear of mine to Baba, asked Him.. "Baba do You think this will be my last day at work.. Should I quit this company?" And, the whole garland of Jasmine flower on Baba, fell down. I was wonderstruck.I was surprised at the question I put and also at the strange asnwer I received.

I had been in that organisation for 4 years and had never once thought of quitting. There was a sudden change in events, that the unti I worked for was taken over by another company. Though the job was
assured for all, I still had asked that question to Baba and HE answered. And just as He answered, that very same day, I was giving the exit letter from my organization. But strangely, I took it very calm and had no feeling nor reaction. I believed HE knows best. I just accepted it.

After a couple of months, one Thursday evening, it was slightly drizzling. I felt like having hot samosas. Since I was on my way to Dyan Mandir, I had got few for Baba too. As I went closer to His picture on the chair, to feed Him, I felt an inner voice, say, "Give me sweet". I wondered. I simply said, "Baba, You are Yourself sweet.Do You need sweet?" and I went and had my bite of samosa. I felt some
chillies there. I thought, no wonder Baba asked me for sweet and immediately fed Him with some cream biscuits which were there. That very same evening, at this very same holy place, right in front of
Baba's picture, just after few minutes after He asked me for sweet, I received a call from a giant organization and they said I was appointed. I was wonder struck, as I had never given an interveiw nor
any test. I was trying to explain but they were just describing my job roles and I was patched on call to the clients in the US. I had no words to tell. Within few weeks, I also received the appointment order
in hand and joined and now, it is so long since all this happened. I am happily employed by this organisation where everything goes well for me.

It was a real surprise, that colleagues in my previous organisation have all lost their jobs after the new company took over and many of theirs was at high risk. They were telling me, now the market is so
bad. You are lucky, at the right time, you moved and got yourself settled too.I wondered.. everything was like a miracle. It just happened. I was devoid of action here. Only 1 thing I did was - simply accepted. When unfairly I was given the exit order too, I had just accepted without any question to Baba..

That is HIS leela.

Bongaren Shirdi Sai Baba Temple-Ikebukuro-Tokoyo -Japan.

Bongaren Temple is the first Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Ikebukuro-Tokoyo-Japan.

"BONGAREN' means Brahman=Atman mastering Lotus. It is the very First Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Ikebukuro"Tokyo, Japan.The Incantation of the Life Size Idol of Sai Baba was done on 25th Aug'2010 (Full Moon Day) by Mamosasugyou, after the sacred Fire-Puja.

This Idol of Baba is made of Pure White Granite G633 which is mined in the Hyogo Prefecture Kobe City Mikage town in Japan.Standing at an Height of 190 centimeters and weighing 3 tons, it is beautifully sculpted by craftsmen in Japan.

An Idol of big "Shivalingam", "Mother Divine" and "Kalachakra" are also enshrined.

On the Ceiling a "Mandala or Yantra" is drawn.

Bongaren Religious Organization, is a Shirdi Sai Baba temple in Tokyo, Japan .

We, husband and wife, have had conversations with spiritual beings since our childhood.We were born in the same season in the same year.We are twin souls separated from a single soul in the era of ancient Egypt.We are also peers who had spiritual exercises together under an old Sadu in India.
We traveled East and West for spiritual exercises, and Esoteric Teaching in India was the greatest.

Shirdi Sai Baba is crazy, powerful and one-of-a-kind. :-) At first, he would answer, “Think more with your head!” to whatever questions we asked.Curiously, we’ve been able to get answers after thoughts since he told us so, which makes us a bit frustrated (laugh).But he fulfills our wishes before we know .

Shirdi Sai Baba has taken care of us and accommodated us with what we need.We have never been pinched for money and food thanks to Shirdi Sai Baba.Now, he has become a good advisor or a spiritual mentor who gives us methods of spiritual practice.

One day, Shirdi Sai Baba made a request from us for the first time.”Build a place to surrender yourselves to a God at the center of your country! Enhance people’s spirituality!”We asked, “Can we enshrine a god other than you?” Then, Shirdi Sai Baba answered, "Any god above a certain level will do."

We are naturally perverse.If Shirdi Sai Baba had told us, “Build a place to surrender yourselves to me,” We would have refused (laugh).

We selected Shirdi Sai Baba as the principal image because he said any god would do. :-) And we enshrined a statue he especially liked.

1. A statue of Shirdi Sai Baba, which is 2 meters tall (sitting) and one of the largest statues carved from a stone. It is carved from the best white stone in Japan by a top sculptor.

2. A 1-meter-tall, special statue of Shiva Lingam, in which masculinity and femininity are fused.

3. A 1-meter-tall statue of Kalachakra, the final Buddha of Indian Tantric Buddhism and a couple deities.

4. We were told to display pictures of celestial maidens and Mother Divine for goddesses.

5. The founders of three major religions, Jesus Christ, Buddha and Muhammad, are enshrined to overcome the religious barriers.

6. A pagoda preserving a real bone of Buddha is also enshrined for Japanese people, many of whom are Buddhists.

These themes are the hearts of spiritual exercises and the integration of the exercises brought about by gods and Buddha.

This Sai Baba Temple is housed in a modern concrete structure with a north indian style minaret on the roof.

Inside is a vast room with a dazzling white marble floor and many painted pictures of Sai Baba.
The altar itself is quite lovely with a beautiful marble statue of Baba and little votive pedestals depicting his holy feet.

Vasanth Pura is an area in Bangalore, almost in the outer of the city.

Here in this area, is a famous Lord Ram temple, which is said to be more than 1000 years old.

Several years before, Shri.Radhakrishna Swamiji was regularly visiting this Shri Ram Temple, with a group of devotees and they recited the Vishnu Sahasranama there. One such day, when Swamiji was going in a car with a group of devotees, just a few feet away from the age-old shrine, where there was just plain land stretching suddenly swamiji pointed to one particular area and said, "Note.. Baba's temple will come here. At this very place."

When devotees had questioned him further, he told that he had the vision of Baba standing there.. as they had just drove past that area.

And here, now, the temple stands, so bold, so majestic - a heaven to all the devotees :)

History of Perambur (Agaram) Sai Baba Temple

Dear reader ,here is the history and details shared by Dr.D Arulneyam in detail.

Before explaining the full facts about Baba’s Pradhishtai at Agaram (Permabur), here, I (Dr. D. Arulneyam) write a brief summary of the whole incidents. By all experiences I would certainly say that Baba is present here with full power, full joy and real life.

Baba himself has chosen the place for his pradhishtai and made all necessary arrangements for his presence by utilizing us an instrument. Baba himself selected the sculptor and sculpture-manufacturing place. All these activities were taking place automatically without our effort and intervention.

The Samadhi located in front of his pratima has got its own uniqueness and meaning, which was indicated by Baba through my dream vision. While marking the Samadhi, I could get Shirdi photo on my hand and followed the similar arrangements by recollecting Shirdi visit in my mind.

Initial understanding about Baba:

Shri Shirdi Sai Baba’s divinity and his blessing struck my mind during 1998, When I was doing my Ph.D programme under Engg in I.I.T, Chennai. One of my colleagues belongs to Andhra Pradhesh visited Shirdi. He gave me Shirdi Prasad with Baba’s Cross-legged photo. After hearing the brief story about Baba, momentarily, my mind brought an imaginary vision about baba’s Shirdi Samadhi. Later, I understood that Baba engulfed me from that time onwards since all my spiritual endeavours and progresses started from that moment.

Until then, I did not have much in-depth knowledge about Baba. However during that time, I visited Mylapore Sai Baba temple without having deep devotion. Later slowly I became a deep devotee of baba. It was Baba’s blessing, for the first time. I visited Shirdi in April 2003. After that, I went to Saudi Arabia in May 2003.

After I stepped into the Islamic sacred soil of Saudi Arabia,
Baba totally occupied me and directed me on and off for the past 7 years. Baba liked Islamic religious place of Mecca-Madinah in Saudi Arabia when he was alive, so he wanted his mission should be established from Saudi Arabia by Saudi earnings. That’s why baba did not allow us to leave Saudi till now for the past 7 years. Indeed, it is true that baba showed his first darshan in Saudi Arabia through my dream vision in june 2003. Baba showed his darshan in the form of Kandayoga practice by appearing his head alone with fearful eye sight during the early morning hours of Brahma Muhurtam. From this time onwards, until now I am in the fold of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba.

Many times, I could not tolerate baba’s test and experiment in the form of sufferings. During that time, with uncontrollable anger and impatience, I hated Baba and used harsh words. Later, I came to realize about my behavior and consoled myself saying that baba was parabrahmam (Absolute Truth) that was beyond the touch of the word, mind and intellect. Whatever, I shouted on Baba that will accumulate in mind as impurities, and my shouting will not affect baba’s purity as similar to Sun.

Baba’s Miracle in our life:

It was in the end of 2003, I was working as Research Scientist in the King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My wife was working as Neurologist in a hospital at Najran, which was 1000 kms away from Riyadh. During that time, once my wife lit a lamp in pooja room in front of baba’s photo and left to hospital without noticing it. When she came back from hospital and looked into pooja room, she found that baba photo was fully burnt and became ash. Along with baba photo, our Guru Gnanacheri Sadasiva Brahmmendrar photo also got burnt half. This is the incident through which Baba symbolically hinted us that he was going to bear our karma and sins.

After that in May 2004, we came to india for vacation and went to Shirdi while going back to Saudi. The real suffering started after 2 months through another doctor’s sin. The anesthesia doctor, belonging to Andhra Pradesh made a gross negligence during an operation. By his mistake in anesthetic process, the pregnant lady’s brain got damaged and went into coma. The female patient was aged about 30 years with 7 children.

Immediately my wife was called as neurologist to treat the patient. However, my wife could not retrieve the patient from coma. Consequently, the anesthetic doctor was charged guilty by the hospital medical committee after making an enquiry. Meanwhile the affected family started making a suit in the court. After knowing the intensity of the case, the anesthetic doctor plunged into depression. Unless he faces the guilty charge in the court and pays penalty, he will not be allowed to leave the country and his passport was retained by the company.

Under this juncture, I went to my wife’s place during the holidays. The anesthetic doctor was well known to me. One Thursday evening, after baba’s pooja, I went to his house and gave baba’s Shirdi Prasad of Udhi with baba’s sitting posture cross legged photo. I advised him to apply a drop of udhi over his head daily, while going to hospital. And also advised him to pray to Baba, under the similar instruction given in Shri Sai Satcharitra where shri Hemant explained the worship methods of baba. It says that worship baba’s right feet thumb in between baba’s left hand two fingers, as similar to see Sun in between two branches of tree. After this, within a month, the doctor could go to India safely by using a duplicate passport.

Meanwhile the court did not take up and pursue the case saying that the main culprit should be brought to the court. During this time, my wife’s medical company contract period was over and my wife was not allowed to leave the country. In turn, they asked my wife to bring a guarantee person belonging to Saudi nationality. Also my wife’s four and half months salary, benefit and allowances are retained by the company. So I brought my wife and children to my place, Riyadh and started pursuing the case.

Meanwhile we got a temporary job for my wife in the Government Hospital. We approached Indian Embassy and gave a complaint, and also we sent a petition to all levels of Saudi government. Nothing materialized however, Indian embassy perused the matter with Saudi foreign ministry.

Here, Baba after allowing the doctor to leave the country, and wanted to give right compensation to the affected family by using us as their representative. Baba acted vigorously with more power through us by taking this case to Saudi government level. After one and half years of constant endeavor, by baba’s full grace and power, the deputy minister of Ministry of Health, himself plunged in this case.

The deputy minister framed a medical committee to enquire the case and finally without the intervention of court, my wife was relieved from the case. However, before this release, baba made me to realize the similar sufferings of the affected woman’s husband.

My wife was admitted into the hospital for her sickness. She had to undergo anesthesia for minor surgery. I was terribly afraid by thinking that my wife might be affected by the same anesthetic complication. I realized the affected family’s real feelings and sufferings. My children also suffered. Finally my wife was discharged from the hospital in good health after the treatment. Later, after one month only, we were relieved from the case. And all our retained money was paid back.

During the course of the case, we prayed to baba on every Thursday regularly and made a strong oath and commitment by saying that the entire amount of my wife’s benefits will be spent for Baba. Already when we visited first time to shirdi in April 2003, I myself thought that I should construct a small temple in my house. So through this incident Baba made me to give life to my thought and there upon we started plunging into the temple work based upon our oath and commitment.

Baba’s Statue selection:
In the process of establishing a small temple for Baba, we booked a flight for our entire family to Bombay. We wanted to visit Shirdi from Bombay and pay our gratitude at Baba’s feet. After that we planned to go to Chennai and start the temple work.

In this line, we started making all arrangements for our Shirdi visit. I always used to get Baba’s advice by opening a page on baba’s book and read the same in front of baba’s photo. Similarly I opened a page from Sri Narasjimha Swamiji book at pooja room. In that page Baba is showing his anger to a devotee by saying that “Why are you coming to Shirdi? You have lot of work to do, I know when I have to call you here”. So immediately after reading this message we cancelled the Bombay flight ticket and Shirdi visit.

Later, I started enquiring a travel agent, about seat availability to Delhi. Normally, during summer vacation, it is very difficult to get a seat to Delhi, which requires minimum 4 months of reservation. However in our case, Baba himself caught hold of 4 seats for my wife and 2 children.

In this time, we could get help through our building architect’s (Balasubramaniam) uncle, Mr.B. Ravichandran. Mr. B. Ravichandran is the higher authority in the Indian bank, Working at Chennai. He is an ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba.

Mr.B. Ravichandran made dedicated effort and extended his help through his jaipur Indian bank authorities. Later we proceeded to Selhi and stayed there one day. Next day we went to Jaipur. In Jaipur Baba made all arrangements for us through Indian bank, senior manager Mr.Gupta. Inspite of his tight schedule, he allotted his time to spend with us. Morning, we visited all the tourist attraction in Jaipur, during that time we also visited statue shop and looked for Baba’s statue. However we were not satisfied with Baba’s face.

Afternoon, Mr.Gupta took us to Mr. Baradwaj factory and introduced us. Mr.Baradwaj is number one in India for making Baba’s pratima. He showed us the model Baba Pratima by putting Salwai over Baba’s shoulder. Really my whole family members were under joy and fully satisfied with that Pratima. So we gave the order for making Baba's pratima under similar configuration.

During the work, amazing thing happened. Baba did not allow anyone other than me and my wife to carry out the temple work. Even if I entrust the work to someone the work will not be done, they will give negative reply. One day I myself got up from bed in the early morning hours of Brahma Muhurtam and drew the temple plan. In order to accommodate large crowd in the small place by giving separate entry and exit. I myself marked the Baba’s Pradhistai place, Samadhi and vinayakar pratima by seeing Baba’s Shirdi photo and applied the Shirdi vision from my mind. This way the temple construction was pulled till the day of kumbabishekam upto morning 4.30 A.M. In fact morning 4.30 A.M only we could finish the door fittings.

Baba’s Ishwarya Darshan in Dream:

When I dedicated myself into the temple construction work, one day at early morning 4.15 A.M during brahma muhurtam hours, Baba indicated his coming as Darshan in my dream with my full amazement and joy. Indeed it is fact Baba symbolically indicated that he is going to come to Agaram permanently with full ishwaryam full power and joy.

In the dream vision, I was standing among the big crowd and expecting somebody’s coming. During that time Baba came out from the house entrance by having stick on his hand, greedam on his head, with white colour like full moon, similar to Shirdi pratima face that was worshipped by devotees from all over world as Shri Shirdi Sai baba. In this way I received his darshan as a great boon. Baba in the form of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba came towards me by walking and sat before me in the posture of Dwarakamai and went inside and disappeared as Samadhi. I stood crying and immediately rushed towards the cave like structure nearby His side and reached inside the underground. But the doors were closed and locked similar to symbolic indication of closing the door during the nights at the temple for Baba’s sleep under Samadhi. I still remember Baba’s face in the dream looked so white. Later I understood the reason for this pure white vision. After 18 days the pratima came from jaipur. Later the amazing thing happened that the pratima's face was looking similar to my dream darshan when it was decorated with Greedam on Thursdays.

During this time my wife confused herself about the place chosen for Baba’s pradhishtai. Infact Baba gave answer to her through a dream. In her dream one old swamiji with white beard came by removing the crowd and told my wife that the place chosen for baba’s pradhishtai is right place. While telling this the swamiji went inside the ground and disappeared as Samadhi. Later the kumbabishekam was performed on August 30th and 31st 2006, without much advertisement and decorations. Baba’s pradhistai was performed with similar arrangements of Shirdi with Shri Shirdi Sai Baba’s pratima and His Samadhi. Here we spent all our foreign earnings for this pradhishtai. Here we did not take and utilize single rupee from our ancestors property.

Here the temple premise is fully owned by us by Baba’s grace. So based on Baba’s wish the temple will be administered forever by my family hereditary. Under this line, we established Shirdi Sai Foundation a Charitable trust to maintain the temple’s day today activities and other welfare activities including annadanam. The temple premise does not come under Shirdi Sai Foundation. We have obtained Income tax registration and Tamil Nadu Government registration for “Shirdi Sai Foundation”.

The mission is to establish different centre of working group in the form of trust and if possible along with small worship place. And carry forward His vision in the form effective activity.

It is a need for Sai devotees to show their gratitude in one or other way to our dear baba with love and devotion, who is the only reason behind all our efforts and successes. By His WILL and by His just one message, hundreds of devotees are benefited. Such is his power, its vastness and multitude. Like we read lord Krishna will clone into many Krishnas to fulfill each devotee's wish. Shirdi Sai is doing the same, helping many at the tick of a second. We are here to share a couple of videos with your site that was the result of Sai’s grace. We a group of devotees used to discuss experiences and miracles of Sai. It automatically increases our faith and devotion. This is a small sathsang for us. We have met many devotees saying "though we could not go to Shirdi often, we are blessed to visit Mylapore Sai Temple" . To them, more visits to the temple, more vibrations they receive in that atmosphere.

Like Shirdi temple is main to the world of Sai devotees, Shirdi Sai temple in Mylapore is a Shirdi for devotees residing in and around chennai for its 60 year old existence. Its founder Sri Narasimha Swamiji who is directly connected to Baba and also of the fact that the temple's Dhuni fire was brought from the main Shirdi Sansthan, when foundation was laid. The growing crowd year after year with many miracles happening, prove the fact about temple's divinity, graced by the power of Saibaba.

But there is always something left incomplete to explain how will the devotees who are very old, commute to temples as that is the hour they long for darshan, when age is taking them and could not move out freely. This was the topic between us on a Saturday afternoon and we are not aware that Shri Sai is pulling us to his abode in Mylapore for some seva for the benefit of such elderly persons. With that effect, we made our minds to get some video clippings of this famous Mylapore temple.

We visited the temple on that evening with a cam without any idea of how things will be done at Baba’s will. While thinking so, a dog frequented in the main hall where the crowd waited in queue. We enquired with a volunteer why they allow this, for children are playing. The reply was instant from him and other regular visitors, this dog some days stare at Baba’s main idol with a long pause without moving an inch. He said the dog feels something special to see his Kind merciful master. It just flashed in our minds how Baba treats animals and creatures with great care and affection, as read in Sai Satcharitha.

The regular arathi started and with the help of authorities, we positioned ourselves and waited to capture this event of dog staring at our beloved Sai. Few seconds left there is no progress to our dismay. But Baba helped to his will. The dog entered at certain time and ran towards the main sanctum here and there as if, it is its own place with his merciful master seated in the throne. Wonderful is that sight and the priests did not make any fuss of it. Here we share that video for Sai’s love towards animals:

Secondly, devotees are aware of the Online Live Darshan facility of the Main Shirdi Sansthan from its Official website, streaming whole day with all the four Arathis. Like that we prayed to Baba to help us in getting the Thursdays special arathi darshan in Mylapore to enable the elderly people who cannot move out but have blessings from their place. We are new to handle cam in crowded situation. We realized Baba helped us to come on a Saturday for a trial to capture the pet dog and gave us confidence to prepare for the Thursday darshan.

Baba’s Will and blessings, Thanks to the Temple Authorities , with their help we again visited a Thursday to capture the beautiful special arathi done, unlike in Shirdi for the benefit of the devotees who could not commute to Mylapore Sai temple.

I have published the post titled "Mylapore Shirdi Sai Baba Temple History And Complete Details"giving the details of the temple.Since I have a very large number of photos of the temple I am uploading these exclusively in this post .I am sure devotees will feel blessed in the same manner as I have felt.
The photos are in two parts.

Dear all,
Happy Guruwar /Happy Baba's day.

Drowning myself in the ocean of details and engrossed in reading the details written by Pujya B.V Narsimha Swami ji over and over again about Shirdi Sai Baba, satisfied my heart to some extent. To quench the remainder thirst, I started to dig out who is the blessed soul B.V Narsimha Swami ji?
And searched for his life history. I was satisfied after I learnt in detail about revered swami ji.

Now my inquisitiveness was for the Samaj and Temple initiated, established and propagated in South by the revered Swami ji.

Despite my relentless search I could not satisfy myself. My heart ached also to visit Chennai and have darshan of Mylapore temple but nothing took shape.

For past two years, I had been trying my best, but as mentioned in holy book "God reveals Himself one cannot find HIM”, the same happened in my case. Besides getting few details there was no progress and I was left waiting for the grace of Lord.

Finally one fine day or I should say grace of Lord shined
and He sent His another blessed sevak to my search .Without even mentioning a word to the fellow Sai devotee,this devotee shared me a mail mentioning in subject line "Sai's Gift to Manisha".

This was nothing less than a miracle ,as I read through the mail ,my heart paced fast and I could not believe what I was seeing .As Baba wished, there were 70 latest pictures of Mylapore Shirdi Sai Baba Temple (isn’t it Sai's grace? without even revealing my desire to the fellow devotee I got the nectar in my palm).

My thirst was quenched and I was left satiated after watching them several time. Each word of Swami ji as mentioned in his write ups echoed in my ear and I could witness the virtual trip to Mylapore Temple.

In spreading the Glory of Sai with His will not only did my friend (Sai devotee) gifted me this nectar (I should say to all of us across the globe) but also made few video by blessing of Baba of the Mylapore temple and has shared with all of us.

Sitting in front of computer we are blessed not only to read the Glory of Shirdi Sai but also virtually visit the revered Mylapore Temple through the video and 70 pictures shared with us. Few years back when my heart yearned to go to Mylapore temple I did not know Baba would fulfil it in this manner .I cannot thank the Lord who made this all possible in due course of time as per His wish but also the hands that shared this precious photos and video with all of us again only by Grace of Baba.

I have tried my best to collect details on history of Mylapore Sai Baba Temple,All India Sai Samaj along with details of recent Jeernodharana Mahakumbhabhishekam which took place on 15th July 2010.

Last but not the least I would like to mention that 85 photo's of the temple along with aarathi video of the temple are uploaded in coming up next post, devotee's are requested to follow up next post as it is not possible to add large number of photo's and video in this section .Jai Sai Ram .

Mylapore Shirdi Sai Baba Temple-Chennai

Brief History About Temple:

Located on the busy Venkatesa Agraharam Street in Mylapore, is 70 year old the Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, one of the oldest temples dedicated to Sai Baba in South India.The temple, also known as 'Shirdi of the South', it see many devotees from all over the country paying a visit to the temple.

The 70-year-old Sai Baba temple at Mylapore was built to commemorate the saint from Shirdi in Maharashtra.There is no caste and religion for Baba. Every day Sikhs, Muslims and Christians are coming regularly and taking blessings of God in this temple.

In temple five times rituals are continuously being done.

The temple was built by Narasimha Swamiji in 1941. A lawyer by profession, he was an ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba.

In the beginning, he worshipped a picture of Baba under a tamarind tree on the street where the temple is now located.

Later, he moved the picture to a small house in Nanjunda Rao Colony in Mylapore. Swamiji constructed the present temple with help from his friend J.D. Pannalal, and performed the first consecration.

Dear readers I would like to give a detail insight about how the temple came into existence and who all were made instrumental by Baba in the construction of this temple.

As we all know Narasimha Swamiji, an ardent devotee of Sai Baba, founded the All India Sai Samaj, in Chennai, and later he built the temple in the heart of the city.The aim was to serve humanity, the downtrodden in particular.

"That's the best way to serve Baba," Narasimha Swamiji would say.

Free dispensary, a school, library, poor feeding and other activities were taken up by the Sai Samaj and other Upasamaj units all over the country.

Seshadri Ji say’s"The temple was only incidental,". "Narasimha Swami lived in a shed in the temple premises and with my own eyes I have seen mongoose and snakes playing with each other, dogs and cats in total amity and kittens being suckled by a dog inside the temple," the septuagenarian's eyes turn moist.

"The temple is a result of one man's toil but you will not find Narasimha Swamiji's name anywhere in the temple."

The temple later gained a pristine look through the efforts launched by the Sai Samaj, which then had Seshadri as its secretary and J. D. Pannalal as treasurer.

Narasimha Swamiji, a lawyer who led the life of a sanyasi, chanced to go to Shirdi and learn about Sai Baba, the saint was known only in Maharashtra.(Readers can read complete life history of Shri Narasimha Swami ji published as "As the flower sheds its fragrance" first time in internet ,detail and more than 20 chapter are posted in Shirdisaibabakripa webiste and one can read by clicking Here)

Initially when Narasimha Swami built the temple for Sai Baba, he wanted only a picture placed at the sanctum sanctorum. Over the years things changed and Muthu Venkatraman, a devotee, had the idol of Baba installed at the temple in 1987.

S.R.V. Jayakar, a devotee of Baba, drew a portrait of the saint and placed it at the Dwarakamayi-Shirdi.

N.K Subba Rao wanted a similar picture for the Mylapore temple. And the person who drew it was none other than Jayakar's son himself.

The picture was brought to Mylapore and placed in front of the "dhuni."

People like Bhima Rao (who was nominated president by Narasimha Swami), M. K. Nambiar and Kesava Rao have worked for the glory of the temple.

"The Samaj doesn't believe in asking devotees for money. His teachings that promised the devotee that a good turn would come back to the giver ten fold and the words `take one step towards me and I shall take 10,' worked like magic.

Universal Love was Baba's religion and those affected by the sentiment were many. Justice M. B. Rege, a favourite of Baba even when he was a child, came down to Chennai to inaugurate Sai Vidyalaya, now a matriculation school, that has grown with the funds secured from the temple.

A small note on All India Sai Samaj(AISS) as established by Narshimha Swami ji.:

The All India Sai Samaj was started by Swamiji in 1941 and was first located in a small rented room in Venkatachala Mudali Street, Triplicane, Madras.

From there it was shifted on 13-4-1942 to a rented house No. 2/14 at T.S.V. Koil Street in Mylapore, Madras.

The house owner was scared at finding a dead rat in the house and no one was prepared to live in that house. When the information was passed on to Swamiji by Sri Panini Rao, immediately Swamiji took up that house and Sai Mandir was housed there.

Sai worship dispelled all evils and doubts and when the owner got a good price by selling the house, Swamiji shifted the Sai Mandir to Dr. Nanjunda Rao's house at Brodies Road, (now R-K. Mutt Road) Mylapore on 1-9-1943.

Sai worship continued there till January, 1949. When that house was needed by the owners, the Mandir was shifted to a compound in Sri Thyagaraja lyer's (Advocate) house at Vonkatesa Agrahara very near to present place on 14-1-1949.

Meanwhile funds were raised for purchase of a plot for finding a permanent place for Sri Sai Mandir.

In Aug-Sept 1951, Swamiji arranged to perform Homas for the welfare of humanity.

By the support of the public and ardent work by Swamiji's close devotees. Sri M. D. Krishnamurthy, Sri V. K. Pandulu, Sri Radhakrishna Swamiji and Sri J.D. Pannalal, the land where the present plot of land housing the Mandir was purchased .

Sai Mandir was constructed and the Samaj moved in ,on 7-7-1952, Guru Poornima day. The adjoining place, where the centenary Hall has been constructed and where all AISS conferences are being held, was acquired later.

The Sai Mandir has been built step by step by the efforts of the Sai devotees with their devotion and selfless service at the feet of our Gurudev B.V Narasimha Swamiji.

The period 1951 to 1960 witnessed the speedy growth and consolidation of All India Sai Samaj.

The Maha Kumbabhisheham was performed on 19-10-1953 after performance of various Homam etc. in the immediate presence and blessings of Swamiji, Sri Thambaiappakkam Arunachala Sastrigal did all religious rites with great fervor and enthusiasm.

One of the greatest devotees of Sai Baba, Sri Dasganu Maharaj once said, "A jeweller, like Sri Narasimha Swamiji knows the value of a gem and will not rest till he brings the brilliance of the crystal to the peoples' notice."

The Sai Free dispensary was started by Sri Narasimhaswamiji, with. Dr. Mahadevan as its first doctor. There was also a Homeopathy wing. Many doctors are doing honorary service even now. At least about 30 to 50 patients are being treated daily. A Dental wing was opened in 1962 in grateful remembrance and homage to Sri V. K. Pantulu.

The Narasimha Swamiji Free Reading Room and Library was inaugurated in 1957 by Sri B. N. Datar, the then Minister of State for Home Affairs in the Cabinet.

Sri S. Seshadri, Sri M. S. Srinivasan, Sri S. Vittal Rao, Sri B. S. Padmanabhan and many others did tremendous service in the opening of Library.

The Zinc Sheet shed that was housing AISS was replaced by a concrete slab, the first of its kind with no pillars in the Hall, and this work was done just in time for the grand celebrations in July 1966.

Sri S. Janakiraman, Engineer, and his nephew Sri G. Seshan were responsible for this monumental construction of a pucca roof for the Main Hall of AISS.

Sri Bhagawataswami of Pudukottai opened the Hall. This decade saw the starting of Sai Vidyalaya and the school was inaugurated at the sacred hands of Sri M.B. Rege in 1967.

It was great fortune that AISS got the guidance and active participation of Sri M.B. Rege from 1965 to 1971 in all activities of AISS and in the Shirdi tours organised and at the Madras and Bangalore conventions.

Sri R. Natesan took over as Secretary in 1970, AISS had Sri Radhakrishna Swamiji to guide as President of AISS.

Sri R. Natesan was responsible for the pictorial depiction of "Life of Sai Baba" in beautiful and attractive paintings which adorn Main Hall. This indeed is of great help and attracts all devotees who are all able to see the important events of Sri Sai's life in pictures, so well drawn by Sri Kandaswmy of Sai Arts.

The Padhukas of Sri Sai Baba were brought from Shirdi to Nellore and from Nellore to Madras, AISS.

The devotees worshipped the Padhukas, and it was indeed the grace of Sri Sai and proof of His assurance that He continues to protect and guide us in AISS activities.

It was on 2nd Fehuary 1987 the Marble statue of Sri Sai Baba was installed without in any way disturbing the present sanctum sanctorum and preserving intact the legacy left by our Swamiji, and AISS is continuing to worship Sri Sai Baba Portrait placed by our Swamiji in the Main Mandir.

According to K. Thangaraj, secretary, All India Sai Samaj, Mylapore, which maintains and administers the temple, "This is the only temple where devotees are allowed to touch, garland and photograph the idol. We consider the picture worshipped by Narashima Swamiji, the moolasthana. We installed a marble statue of Baba 16 years ago."

"This temple is unique," says Suban Singh, treasurer. "On Thursdays a Muslim gentleman chants the Koran at about 4.30 p.m. and on Sundays we have a Bible reading, apart from bhajans on Thursdays".

"We have been doing some minor renovation work and are constructing an arch at the entrance of the temple," says Thangaraj.

The samadhi of Sri Narasimha Swamiji is located inside this temple. On Thursdays about 1,000 people take part in the annadhanam and on other days prasadham is offered to devotees. Offerings in the form of rice, dhal and sugar are accepted and there are three huge vessels for this purpose.

Many festivals are organised here, the most important one being the 10-day Navarathri celebration, which ends on Mahasamadhi day, which falls on Vijayadasami. Guru Poornima is also celebrated.

The members also celebrate the birth anniversary of Narasimha Swamiji every year on August 21", says Karunakaran, vice-president.

"People from all over the country visit the temple for darshan," he adds. Located in the heart of the city, the temple attracts everyone who believes in Sai Baba. Last year, the diamond jubilee celebrations were organised and many participated in the devotees' convention.

On Thursdays, the temple is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on other days it is open from 5 a.m. to noon and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Kumbha Abhiskeham:

The Jeernodharana Mahakumbhabhishekam of the Sri Sai Baba Temple in Mylapore took place on July 15 ,2010 with a expense of 50 lakhs.

Ashtabandhan Maha Kumbahabishegam, Poojia Shri Narasima Swamy’s statue prathistam and Maha Kumbahabisheg Vaibav was held on 5th of July .

Thousands of devotees attended the Maha Kumbhabhishekam, or consecration, of saint Sri Sai Baba.

The celebrations began on July 11 with a Vigneswara pooja. It was followed by sumangali pooja, vaasthu shanthi and vaduka pooja. The next day dhana pooja, kumbha alankaram and poornahuthi were conducted.

Vishesha Shanthi, vigneswara pooja, purification ceremony and deepardhana were daily rituals.

At around 9.45 a.m. the urn containing the holy waters kept ready near the deity inside the temple was taken to the vimanams for the consecration. It was followed by the kumbabhishekam of the two gopurams the main deity and the Narasimha Swamiji (founder of the temple) - between 10.30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The consecration of a new hall was also held. It is dedicated to Sri Narasimha Swamiji. A statue of swamiji is placed here.

Food was freely distributed to devotees and others.

The gopuram and the temple premises were beautifully decorated. A large number of devotees gathered on Thursday morning to witness the Kumbhabhishekam.

More than 30 priests from the famous Meenakshi Temple of the state's Madurai city had come to the temple a week before to conduct rituals and chanting from the vedas.

The celebrations began on Sunday and concluded on Thursday at the Sri Sai Baba temple in Mylapore.

The celebrations had a new panchaloha statue of Baba, which was taken out in a procession at 5 p.m. The devotees carried the statue around the four Mada streets of Mylapore, and moved on to R.K. Mutt Road, Alamelumangapuram and returned to Venkatesa Agraharam. A four and a half feet marble statue of Narasimha Swamiji was also made.

Prasadams was distributed throughout the day. Those who visited the temple were given a bag containg a food packet, vibhuthi and kumkum. The aim was to reach the packet to everyone. A lorry was stationed outside the temple with the prasadam packets.

Doctors had volunteered to give medical aid in case of emergencies. Metro water lorries were provided wih drinking water to the lakhs of devotees throughout the day.

A wave of divine exuberance pervaded the ambience as devotees enjoyed the ecstatic mix of supreme bliss, faith and peace.

Details of Renovation of Temple:

All India Sai Samaj Mandir at Mylapore, Chennai Tamilnadu is the oldest institution. It is the first Sai Baba Temple in the entire Chennai. Sri Narasimha Swamy was the founder member of this temple.

Now during the year 2009- 2010. There has been lot of alterations done to this temple. A old building behind the temple which housed the samadhi of Sri Narasimha Swami ji has been demolised & a new Meditation hall is been constructed at the same place.

Sai Baba's Chamber has been modified with false roofing with Jaipur Art work & also Centralised Air Conditioner Unit has been installed to help baba beat the Souring heat of Chennai .

“Two gopurams have been built for this occasion. The one above the main deity(Shirdi Sai Baba) is 37 feet high and the other above the new hall (specially constructed for Narasimha Swamiji) is 23 feet.

A three-storied structure has been constructed behind the sanctum sanctorum, at a cost of Rs. 3.5 crores. A meditation hall, prayer chamber for Narasimha Swamiji, meeting hall, office rooms and a modernised kitchen occupy an area of 16, 000 square feet.

The old kitchen has been modified into a prayer hall where the Koran will be read on Thursdays and those who believe in Christ can also come and light candles there,” said Mr. Thangaraj.

The interior of the shrine is aesthetically designed with white marble stones at a cost of Rs. 12 lakhs and the walls of the shrine holds a arch made of gold. The marble throne on which the deity is seated will be covered with a gold plating.For Shirdi Sai Baba, thiruvaachi made of silver is been built.

The old door near the main deity has been replaced by a finely carved teak one. The frames near the same will be plated with silver. The padhuka behind the main deity will also be plated with gold. The cost of refurbishing the temple has been borne by the devotees.

Mr. Thangaraj said that 3 crores of money has been spent on the premises of the temple construction .

He also added that new cottage, meditation center, administrative office,library,well modernized kitchen and other facilities for the temple with marble flooring are being made.

For the convenience of the Shirdi Sai Baba followers, the pavement of the shrine has been expanded. And moreover annathanam will begin from morning itself and for this special places have been allocated.

It was in 1991 Oct during Dussera, I went to this temple referred by one of my friends when I was facing a very serious problem. My friend told me that an old lady would be there who used to answer the questions of devotees earlier and has stopped to answer since long and that it is better to seek her blessings and try whether she would answer my problem.

I went there to see a Sai Baba temple in the ground floor – cemented flooring, with a thatched roof in the front for the devotees to sit and pray.
There were few devotees doing Bhajan while in an easy chair towards one side was sitting an old lady of above 80 yrs age. I went to her and sought her blessings and explained my problem. She at once told me that there was some problem but everything would be alright within a week. And told me not to worry and leave it to Baba.

She must have prayed for me a lot that my problem was solved as she told me. Meanwhile, I came to know that she had since long stopped answering to questions from devotees and fortunately she answered me. I felt bad having given trouble to such an old lady. I went to apolgise as well as thank her and convey how my problem ended etc. This time the temple was empty and I was directed by someone to the first floor in the back yard. I found her there and released what all I wanted to.

She said she did as per Baba’s orders and did nothing special. She told me to participate in the daily Aartis and weekly Bhajans over there. I expressed my difficulty that I return from office very late and promised to participate as and when possible.

Sai Amma:

She (a widow, no kids) a staunch devotee of Baba has dedicated her life totally to Baba and was in the process of making this temple a bigger one – at that age of 8 decades and plus. While, the land prices in a hot place like West Mambalam are roaring up, this true devotee of Baba has donated her entire land to construct Baba’s temple, herself staying in a corner of the temple and though she was unable to comfortably manage her own bread and butter.

Few other true devotees of Baba were in support of her and started to pool the collections if somebody offered, so that it can be used for the temple. One of them would come to stay with her during the night since she was too old. People called her mother, grany etc. I took my mother to this place and to my mother she was ‘Sai Amma’. (I will be referring to her as Sai Amma in my all further posts). There was a lot of change in my life after I started visiting this temple.

But, till 1996, there was not much change in the temple physically. There were not many devotees too. But those few devotees were very true in their services that they celebrated all the festivals and especially, for Sri Rama Navami there used to be ‘Annadanam’ on a grand scale.

Once, Sai Amma hesitantly asked me “Baba is asking for a bag of Rice for this year’s Annadanam from you. Can U arrange?’. That means though Baba wanted her to ask me, she was not comfortable to ask me since I, as a new comer to the temple, might feel bad. Soon after, I arranged for it, there was a lot of improvement in my husband’s business which was a pleasant surprise for me, though I never expected anything in return.

By 1996, the regular devotees of this temple have collected some good amount and got the pillars and roof constructed. Brick walls were yet to be erected for which the money was already pooled by them.

My mother too liked this temple a lot and once she suffered some financial problems. She had decided to give a sizeable amount to this temple if her problems ended. Naturally, by Baba's grace, she was out of all her financial problems. We went and told Sai Amma about the donation my mum wanted to give and expressed that it would be better to construct a marble platform in the center if it was not a problem for them.

Sai Amma said that a North Indian devotee who was also a regular visitor here had expressed to donate for the same purpose since long and that she might give the amount shortly. After saying this, Sai Amma added that she would utilise my mother’s donation for the main door – the ‘Simha Dwaram’.

My mother happily handed over the amount the same day itself (I and my sister too added little amounts as our share just to round off mum’s donation figure).

In our next visit, we found a very grand ‘Simha Dwaram’ with lot of carvings, intricate rajasthani designs etc., kept in a corner of the temple. Sai amma was very happy to receive my mother that day and expressed that there was a heavy down pour of donations right from the moment the donation was received from my mother. None of them thought that such huge amounts would be pouring in that too in such a short span of time.

So, they planned for completing the temple in all respects. The stones and some idols were also ordered from Jaipur. Within a couple of years, the shape of the temple has totally changed. The number of devotees had multiplied. Bhajans, Daily Aartis etc. were very devotionally being conducted. Sometimes, they used to hire a choultry for special programmes on Sri Rama Navami and Vijaya Dasami.

During this time, once Baba has again ordered for a ceiling fan from me to be fitted in the temple.

The exact words of Baba were "Ask that Kavita to get a ceiling fan for my temple. I want her air to revolve in this temple". As anyone can guess rightly, Baba has automatically made my financial postiiton comfortable that I ordered for a Ceiling fan and arranged for its delivery directly to the temple.

But, My visits were never regular to the temple due to heavy work in the office, my frequent health problems and lot of other disturbances. Even those irregular visits of mine would be during odd hours such as 2.00 pm on a Sunday or Saturday etc.

But Sai Amma would be very happy whenever I would go to her. She would say in an affectionate tone “make it a habit to come regularly, atleast come once a month”. I would nod my head and would even decide strongly that I should be regular. But, could never put it in action.

One surprising thing is that, whenever, I go to her, she would say “just today / yesterday only I thought of you”. Other devotees too would confirm and say “oh! You are Kavita..! Paati (grany) was talking about you only just now…”.

There is a big Baba photo (frame) in Sai Amma’s room and a small Mandap of 4ft high (very traditional one) in which a big Idol of Baba is seated with all decorations. Many photos of Baba are seen hung in her room. A gas stove on a corner table, one cot and one easy chair and one almirah.

Some would be talking to her; some of them narrating their problems to her; some of them busy doing parayana of Sri Sai SatCharitra or Gurucharitra; some in meditation and some would be catering to the needs of Sai Amma. The picture that I formed about Baba in Dwarka Mai with all his devotees exactly would match with this.

I used to sit in front of the Mandap looking at Baba, pray and return taking Sai Amma’s blessings. To my surprise, without me telling anything to her, she would predict if I suffered from any problems. Similarly, whenever I went to her in a happy mood or only for a darshan, she never asked me whether I had any problem.

While taking leave, Sai Amma would bless us with Udi and sometimes would give Tirtham also.

I did understand that Sai Amma loved me a lot as I could guess rightly from her actions and talk. As such her nature it self was loving, caring and being very affectionate to every body. I have never seen in her the usual psychological pattern change that usually takes place in aged people. As I decided, I never asked her for anything (but for on two occasions – one in 1999 and secondly in 2001) and would not reveal anything about me or my problems unless she asked me in particular.

I always longed to live like her in my old age. Always happy, in a state of bliss consoling whoever comes to her. In many ways she looked like Baba in her lifestyle. That is why Baba called her on the very Sri Rama Navami day in 2002 (when she was 93 +). But, till the last day, she was never bedridden. She was taken to the hospital for a small complaint and her mortal remains were back the next day –Sri Rama Navami.

Gurupoornima:

Gurupoornima celebrations used to be very interesting in the temple. Mostly this used to be organized in a choultry in the same location. In Chennai, it is almost mandatory for all children to learn karnatic music right from tender age. So many kids used to give performances singing bhajans, Classical Kritis and many such programmes used to be conducted.

Of all the items, the most important one for all the devotees is, receiving money from Sai Amma. This she used to do as per the instructions of Baba totally. The devotees used to tie a cloth around her head so that she is blind folded. A Sieve containing coins of various denominations would be placed in the Sieve. Sai Amma would take them out at random and give out as prasad to all the devotees. Sometimes, we used to get 2 or 3 coins.

I marked on all such coins received by me with a nail polish soon after I return home and keep them in my pooja. Still I have all those coins in my pooa room. For any reason, if I missed the offerings of Sai Amma on the Gurupoornima day, she would give separately for me if I had gone within that week of Gurupoornima.
On One Gurupoornima, lunar eclipse took place (may be it was 2001 , think). I couldn’t go to the temple for some reason. The next day, when I went and requested for the prasad of coins, Sai Amma told me that Baba has restrained her from giving away of coins that year due to eclipse. I returned disappointed.

In 2002. on the Rama Navami Day, Sai Amma joined Baba. That was the last Gurupoornima I went to the temple and returned empty handed. Lo! that was the starting point for our financial problems which made the family touch the rock bottom. We are still in the process of recovering from the losses. This can only be a coincidence OR, I didn’t go to that temple on any other Gurupoornima day later.

Even after we shifted to our own house in 1997, which is very far from this temple, I continued to visit this temple and Sai Amma. In 1998, I was transferred out side Chennai and came back after an year. In between, once or twice I visited Sai Amma.

My questions to her would always be mostly on the matters of spirituality and philosophy. She was always very straight and precise in her answers. She never had to think / ask Baba etc. whatever difficult question / doubt I asked her. I used to doubt whether Baba himself was speaking thru her. I used to seek clarifications about other Babas also

Temple Details as shared by Sivasankari Thiyagarajan Sister :

The Founder of the temple is Smt Visalakshi amma. She was a stong devotee of Shirdi sai baba. She had the power of speaking with Sai. One day Sai had instructed her to build a temple. So she constructed a temple at West Mambalam in 1983. Initially Small Sai pratima was placed and worshipped under a roof. Later lot of devotees started visiting temple. Many devotees approached Smt Visalakshi amma seeking her guidance for their problems. In those times, amma speaks with Sai and passes Sai advices to them. Also Smt Visalakshi amma had prayed for so many lady devotees to become pregnant. Now Visalakshi amma is no more. She had reached our Father Sai.

Around two years back, the small Pratima was replaced by a big Sai Baba's pratima as in the photo. Now small pratima is treated as Utsava moorthy.

The structure of the temple is, the gurusthan of the temple is adjacent to main gate of the temple.On entering in the main gate, there is a small Tulasi Madam. Then comes a big hall with Our Main Sai Pratima. Pratima of Smt Visalakshi amma is also placed in the rightside. There are ways out in both left side and right side of the hall.If you go out in the left side and move little forward you can see the Dhuni. If you go out in the right side and move forward, there is upstairs taking to utsava moorthy. But if you come backward in the rightside there is one more upstairs where you can find small inayak & Hanumar Statues. From this floor we can have a nice down view of Main Sai Pratima.

4 years back Gurusthan of this temple was installed By Kulasekara perumal of Gowrivakkam Sai Baba Temple. Infact he motivated the founder to construct this temple here.

Temple is 2 years old.Every third Sunday Annadanam is happening here. Rudra homam is done once in 2 years.

Daily morning 5:30 to 6:30 vedam classes are taken here.

19 saligrams are kept and worshipped in this temple. These saligrams are 350 years old.

There was lot of scarcity for water in this area. After construction of this temple, through Shirdi Sai Baba’s blessings now there is no scarcity for water.

Temple History:-

It was really a very big miracle in the temple's history.

With Baba's Grace, Shri.Aacharya SenthilKumar, he is the one who constructed the temple and established(Sathguru Saibaba Charitable Trust). One fine evening On June 2003 he was doing BABA'S Evening Aarthi at Injambakkam Baba temple, Chennai (8KM away from Kelambakkam Baba Temple) until that time Sathguru Saibaba Temple Kelambakkam was not being identified/constructed. As he was working as FULL TIME Pandit at Injambakkam Baba Temple.

On that day while he was doing evening Aarthi, Shirdi Saibaba, Upasani Maharaj literally came to the temple( that can be visualised only by Shri.Aarcharya SenthilKumar) and during Baba's Aarthi he was tapped by SaiBaba and Baba ordered Shri.Aacharya SenthilKumar to start constructing Sai Baba Temple on his own and also ORDERED him to construct 36 temples across the globe.

Devotees in the temple did not understand what happened to Shri.Aacharya SenthilKumar and why the Aarthi plate got fell down?

He got trembled.

The same day at night Shri.Aacharya Senthilkumar in his dream, he dreamt as if he has found the temple place which was situated South East direction and the place name ends with "PAKKAM".

In real Baba gave the right place by right people and at right time (Kelambakkam) and it happened with in Months time.

Sathguru Saibaba Temple, Kelambakkam BHOOMI POOJA was conducted on 7th,November,2003 and Kumbabhishegam happened on 7th, November 2004.

New Dhuni.

Sathguru Saibaba Charitable Trust is successfully running by BABA, So far 16 BABA temple constructions/kumabhishegam has been completed inclusive of Shri Bolo Saibaba temple,Pondicherry.(The details of this shall follow in coming up post ).

Till this time only by Shirdi Sai Baba's support all the temple constructions completed and Baba's giving blessing to all his devotees.

Also Baba's goodwill every year about 50 students are studying through the aid of Sathguru Saibaba Charitable Trust.

Pigeon getting Moksha at Sai Baba's Feet. Kelambakkam Sai Temple, Chennai

Aum Sai Ram,

This set of snaps shows a pigeon getting Moksha at Sai Baba's Feet.

It is told that this Pigeon was making rounds around the Sai Baba temple for quite some time. It was spotted before some days by the locals as well as members of the Sai Temple. Pigeons are rare to spot at chennai. The only birds that can be spotted around chennai are Crows, Eagles, Sparrows & Vultures.

It was rare & Sai devotees thought that it is a leela of Baba to send a Pigeon at this temple. After few days it was seen inside the temple on the chandelier. It stayed there till all the rituals were completed. Then it flew down to Baba's feet & left this world.

This Pigeon had indeed got blessings from Baba that it got Moksha at the Feet of Sai Baba. Though the death of Pigeon was rather disturbing, the members of the temple decided to give a proper last ritual to the Pigeon. Pigeon was kept on a Baba's cloth & covered with Jasmine flowers. Later on the rituals were performed & the temple was sanitised & opened back to Sai Devotees.

Here is another story such story of Chellappa Mudaliyar’s devotion and the greatness of Dhuni Vrata Pooja.

Chellappa Mudaliyar’s eldest daughter Selva Poongodai married to Veeramani for 18 years was childless. The depressed couple underwent various mental tortures. Chellappa Mudaliyar visited Kelambakkam Baba temple and prayed with all his devotion and met Acharya on 11.01.07. Acharya suggested him to perform the Dhuni Pooja and start the Dhuni Vrata Pooja. Chellappa devotedly did the vrata for 9 full weeks and on the day of completion visited the temple again along with his daughter and son in law. Wonders of wonders Selva Poongodai was blessed with a baby boy on 06.01.08 who was named Selva Sai Ram.

Chellappa Mudaliyar’s joy knew no boundaries. With the blessings of Baba and with the guidance Acharya, he did the Boomi Pooja for the construction of a Baba temple at Pondicherry on 09.02.09.

I wanted 2 children:

I Lavanya Selvaraj conceived for the first time on 03.08.08. During my regular check up and scanning done on the 11.12.06, the doctors discovered that my baby had died 2 days before. I was completely shattered and lost all my faith in god. All the doctors and my relatives confirmed that I would never have children any more. Then one of our known friends Devi, instilled confidence in me that Sai Baba who is the Saviour of Kali Yuga would surely bless me with a child. She took me to Sai Baba temple at Kelambakkam where I performed the Dhuni Pooja.

My husband and I visited the doctors again who said it would take a Lakh rupees every month to treat me to conceive. Lakh rupees every month was an unimaginable amount as we were middle class family. We continued with our prayers with Lord Sai and asked him to bless us with 2 children. I was confirmed pregnant in the month when Baba attained his Maha Samadhi. On scanning we discovered that it could be twins. I started getting labor pangs from the 7th day from the day of Seemandham which is performed in the 7th month of pregnancy. Doctors mentioned that it wouldn’t be safe to deliver before the completion of the 8th month. I was hospitalized on 22.04.08 for complete bed rest and attention. It was as if Baba himself manifested in different forms to take care of me. On 31st of May 08 Sai Sangeeth and Sai Santhosh were born weighing 2.5 and 2.6 Kgs each. During the time of crisis Baba acts like a bridge to happiness to all his devotees.

I request the readers of this book to distribute as many books as possible to spread the fame of Baba.

I Bala kumar am an interior decorator have been running the business with Modular kitchens and interior designing in the name of Badras Interiors. Some time back a lady cheated me to the extent of 30 lakhs in the name of giving good business. I tried every possible method to get the money back from her. I even approached the police to seek help in getting the money back from her which had no impact. I reached a stage where I couldn’t pay the rent for the facility and my electricity bills which had gone up to Rs.50000/-. Just before my decision to vacate the place, I visited Kelabakkam Sai temple and met Acharya.

Acharya blessed and requested me to do Dhuni Pooja for 9 days and started it the same day. I did the pooja for all 9 days with complete devotion. On the 5th day from the day I started the pooja I went out for a morning walk. On my way, I met one of my good old friends who on seeing my face realized I was in distress. He questioned me on what happened and I narrated the entire story. He immediately offered to lend me Rs.1.5 Lakhs and said go ahead and run your business with confidence and god will bless you. I immediately went back to the temple and told this to Acharya. Acharya advised me to change the name of the firm as Sai Ram Interiors and requested me to continue the business in the same place and blessed me for success. Today I am a successful business man. I am receiving orders more than I can handle. I got back the car I lost. Today I am in a very good status.

Healing of extra growth near the neck:

My son Gynananand who is 9 months old had an extra growth near his neck. Dr. Devi Kumar referred to Dr. Ramanathan who is a popular doctor practicing in T Nagar. On visiting this doctor he requested us to scan the neck of my son at Sony Scans. The scan report showed that the fibroid was in the size of 3.2 x 3.2 x 2.10 cms. Doctors suggested that surgery would be inevitable. The sight of my little son undergoing a surgery was unimaginable. I was in tears and helpless. My husband’s brother just then visited Kelambakkam Sai Baba temple and did the Dhuni Pooja and gave us the Udhi as Prasad. I applied the udhi on the neck of my son and mixed a pinch of it with milk before feeding him. The fibroid vanished over a period of time. We visited Dr. Devi Kumari again for a second check up and she mentioned that surgery will not be necessary and the extra growth was healed completely.

A life time is too little to narrate all Sai Leelas. Today my son is hale and healthy and is studying in PreKG. Baba is the only Saviour who can bless us with peace, harmony and health.

Marriage, Healing of cancer and upliftment in life:

I Ganesh am an employed bachelor with a meager salary. My father is a cancer patient who has been ailing. I had been praying for my father’s good health, a compatible life partner and a good career upliftment. I visited Sai Baba temple at Kelambakkam on the 15th of February 06 and mentioned about my state of life to Acharya. He then advised me to do the Dhuni pooja. On the 10th day after doing the Dhuni pooja I received an 80% hike in my salary. In the month of September I got the opportunity to visit Shirdi. On return from Shirdi I got the opportunity to go to the US. From there on Baba did various miracles and fulfilled all my desires and needs. I did the Dhuni Pooja again praying for betterment of my father’s health and gave him the udhi every day. My father was completely healed of cancer. I got transferred from Pondicherry to Chennai and within 7 months of the transfer my salary doubled.

Baba did away with all the obstacles that came in the way of my marriage and blessed me to be married to the lady I met first. If we are destined to experience from our karmas for 10yrs, Baba is the only one who can do away in 10 days. I request all readers to do the Dhuni Vrata Pooja and be blessed by Baba. Every time I get an opportunity I distribute the books as many as possible to spread the fame of our Almighty.

Healing of low back pain

I Sri Priya Gopi, was suffering from low back pain for some time. Despite going to doctors and doing yoga my pain did not subside. It was becoming increasingly difficult to even perform my daily activities because of the pain. On 15th of March 09 I visited Kelambakkam Baba temple. Some time back I had read a book which had narrated the story of a lady who was suffering from knee pain and on reading a book she was healed. I prayed in front of the lord and questioned him with love if he would heal me only if I read his book.

With tears in my eyes I prostrated before and was set to leave. Wonders of wonders when I stepped out of the temple I had no pain in my low back. And the pain never recurred again as well.

Like a fish which takes care of its babies by just looking at it, Baba is the only doctor who can heal us with just his vision.

I pray for everybody to be blessed by Baba.

Today I am sharing another blessed Temple of Shirdi Sai Baba.It is known as Chotta Shirdi or Ennore Shirdi Sai Baba Temple. This information is shared by Sai devotee Sridhar ji.
All the details and photo of the temple are given below and more details will follow up soon .

History:

In 2004, Shri Sakthipeedam Sai baba Sansthan purchased this land for Sai worship. At first Gurusthan alone was built and small Sai vigraha was installed and worshipped here.
Baba then appeared in the dream of a devotee and thereby instructed the sansthan to construct the present temple and also instructed him to name the temple as “Chotta Shirdi”. Baba himself selected the statue/pratima and accordingly it was installed in this temple.

In 2007 November, Boomi Pooja was performed and temple was completed and kumbabishekam was done in February 2009.

Around 1000 devotees visit this temple during Thursdays. 40 kgs of rice is distributed for annadanam on every Thursdays. Rama Navami, Guru poornima, Mahasamadhi day are the important functions which is celebrated here.

Kuran is played on every Thursdays in this temple. Also Urudu kavali is done on important days.

Gurusthan, Chavadi and Dwarakamayi are located in the front side of this temple. A separate Neem tree was planted near the Gurusthan which is considered as Sai Saneeshwara Sannadhi. Those who have Sani dosham come round this tree to get rid of their dosham.

It was said that on kumbabishekam day, 3 Garudas came and rounded the gopuram of the temple for some time. Another day during an early morning (during brahma muhurtha time), an unknown old man was seen sitting near the dhuni fire (Considered as Baba) which was captured in the camera which is fixed there.

On October 2006, Gurusthan was installed and on October 2007 on mahasamdhi day at 3.15 P.M Samadhi mandhir was built here.

Every Thursdays at 12 P.M Kuran is played in this temple.

The place for temple was given by panchayat union (5 grounds). Vinayagar temple, Gurusthan,Childrens park, Chavadi, Dwarakamayi and prayer hall (Capacity 200 members).

Around 1000 members visit this temple on Thursdays. Annadanam is happening regularly. Dhuni pooja is happening daily from 10.30 A.M to 11.30 A.M and 4.30 P.M to 5.30 P.M.

Sathyanarayana pooja is done on every pournami after evening arti. Palki possession happens on every Thursdays. Baba’s statue is 5”3 feet height

History:

It was said that baba appeared in person to santhana deva kumar on Jan 2003 and instructed him to construct his temple here. He was doing real estate business and one of his friend who is living abroad asked him to sell his vacant land and finally Santhana Deva Kumar ji himself purchased this land and constructed this temple. It took 3 years to finish this temple. During construction, it rained heavily and the work was temporarily stopped for some days. Everybody thought that due to heavy rain, the gopuram which was half finished will be demolished But at that time it was said that Baba appeared as Naga Sai and safeguarded the gopuram for 3 days continuously.

Another incident is that when Baba’s pratima was brought from Jaipur and people planned to take the pratima inside the temple and install it on Sunday, they were unable to pull the pratima that day. The next day being pournnima, they tried and Baba came very easily inside the temple and took his seat (Baba’s Wish). Shrirama navami, Gurupoornima and Mahasamadhi day are celebrated grandly in this temple. Around 3000 devotees visit this temple on Thursdays.

In the entrance there is a 9 feet height pratima of Baba in standing position. The 9 feet represents Navavidha Bhakthi. In the left side Lord Ganesh, Shiva-Parvati and Lord Dattatreya (Trimurthy) pratima are installed. In the right side Dhuni fire, Nandhi and Lord Hanuman's pratima are installed. Baba's pratuima is installed in the centre. Annadanam is happening every Thursdays.

Dear all,
After a long time I am posting details about Shirdi Sai baba Temple.As I have mentioned in Shirdisiababakripa website I was travelling and relocating to another country I could not devote much time to net hence there was no updates on any of the website. Slowly I am resuming Baba's seva.Thanks to all the devotees who mailed me and inquired about my welfare and whereabouts.

Today I am uploading comprehensive details of Sai Baba Temple Thiruvotriyur-Chennai.The information on temple and all the pictures are contributed by Sai devotee Shridhar ji.He has collected information on many more Sai Baba Temples from Chennai which I shall be posting one by one. Thiruvotriyur Shirdi Sai Baba Temple.

Korukupet and Mylapore Sai baba temple was the motto for Sai devotee Ramamurthi to construct this temple in Thiruvotriyur-Chennai.

On March 18th 2002 a small Sai Baba pratima (Moolavar) was taken and kept in Mylapore Sai temple and then installed and worshipped in this temple.

In 2005 new Sai marble idol was purchased and installed here for worship. Around 500 devotees visit the temple during Thursdays.

Annadanam on thursdays happens automatically through devotees funds for the past 8 years.

All 4 artis are performed here regularly.

New year, Mahasamadhi day, Rama Navami, Guru Poornima, Diwali and pradhista day are the important functions celebrated in this temple.

It was said that on 2002 Vinayak chathurthi day, honey came out continuously from Baba’s mouth (Moolavar). It was noticed by many devotees during that day.Below are the pictures of the temple as taken by camera.

After a long wait today I am uploading detailed information on Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Injambakkam.The details and information of the temple is contributed by Sai devotee Shridhar ji and Jayaraman Uncle. I am uploading both the details clubbed together in this post . Shridhar ji has provided the pictures of the temple and uncle has drafted the detail map of the temple to make it easy for the devotes to understand the layout of the temple . Description:
Founder : Guruji C.B. Satpathy This temple is 17 years old (constructed in March 1993).Saipuram Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is situated at Injambakkam, in a lavish seven acres of pristine land facing the Bay of Bengal, on the outskirts of Chennai. Known as the Shirdi (the place where Sri Sai Baba lived) of the South, the temple complex has a number of buildings and temples. The majestic view of the seashore from the temple is a memorable experience.
Before proceeding to the main temple of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba one comes across the shrine of Lord Ganesh.
The main temple of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is an elegant hexagonal structure of white marble, towering over a height of 100 ft. The image of Shri Sai Baba is handcrafted in pure white marble in his famous sitting posture.

The holy fire (Dhuni), from which Baba used to collect the ash (Udi), which is distributed to the devotees, has been burning uninterruptedly since Baba's days and is kept burning at Saipuram.

Other shrines here are dedicated to Lord Shiva and Parvati, Durga Devi, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman, Lord Venkateswara, Navagrahas, Lord Krishna and Radha, and Lord Muruga with his consorts Valli and Devyani.

Another important spot here is the wish-fulfilling tree, devotees visit this place and tie a turmeric dipped string around the tree on Thursdays and Fridays. It is believed that ones difficult problems and wishes are being fulfilled by doing this.

Besides the Aarti, special pujas, marriage ceremonies and thread ceremonies are conducted on request. Arrangements for feeding the poor are also provided.

Meditation Hall, a free Health Care Center, a stall selling puja items, a bookshop selling Sai paraphernalia, a canteen, generator and telephone and transportation facilities are provided.

Dear Manisha,

Recently I visited the Shirdi Sai temple at a place called Injambakkam located on the ECR road ( Old Mahabalipuram Road ) at Chennai. It is called Saipuram. It is spread over a land of nearly seven acres and built by Mr. Vijay Bulchandani on the inspiration that he received from affectionately called GURUJI - C.B. Satpathy ji , who is an ex IPS official .

As you enter the temple complex you can feel the serenity and the divine presence of Sri Sai Baba, with a pervading feeling of love and compassion that was Sai Baba himself. In this temple almost all the deities like Siva, Dattatreya,Vishnu, Hanuman, Ram with Sita and Lakshman, Durga, Shiva Linga , Krishna with his wives ,Karthikeya with his wives, Navagrahasa etc are installed. The attraction is Vallabha Ganapathy with ten arms. The main Sai temple , hexagonal structure ,is as high as 100 feet and has been provided with concrete ladders to go to the top. Besides this temple complex has a number of buildings and temples greenery all around giving cool air and shade.

As you enter the main temple complex one can find a Small Sai baba temple , Sai baba made of Bronze. No poojas are allowed there. Come out and enter into the next Complex on its side and you can see a row of the small sanctums for Shivalingam and Parvati, Durgadevi, Lord Hanuman facing Lord Rama, Sita, Laxman, Behind them is Maha Vishnu facing Nava Grahas. By the side of Navagrahasa are Lord Krishna & Radha and finally Lord Subramanya with his consorts Valli and Devyani. They can be seen in the complex shown below.

While all the pratima are made of black stone, the main Sai pratima is beautifully carved on a white marble, Saibaba in sitting posture graces the sanctum of the temple. Sai Baba is called by the name of Dwarakamayee and is a replica of the same in Shirdi. On the side of the sanctum has a special room for Dhuni which is also kept burning continuously like Shirdi temple.

When you come out you can find a Danvanthari tree with Baba’s sanctum. People with diseases go there to take nine rounds and are reportedly cured of their ailments in next few months. Also is a Kalpatharu tree on which people tie up threads to get their wishes fulfilled.

Other amenities available are Guest house,gowshala which houses cows, a Meditation Hall, a free Health Care Center, a stall selling pooja items, a book shop selling Sai related books and CDs, a canteen, etc. Besides the Aarti, special poojas are performed on request and arrangements for feeding of the poor are available. Marriage ceremonies, thread ceremonies and other functions are also permitted on request.

SHRI SAI DWARKAMAI MANDIR - BANDRA (W.MUMBAI).

The Making of this Mandir:

Mr.& Mrs.Desai were very devoted disciples of Shirdi Saibaba & used to regularly visit Shirdi every Ramnavami, Gurupurnima & Vijaya Dashami.

Due to aging when Mrs. Desai fell ill for some time, they could'nt make their regular pilgrimages to Shirdi, which really upseted them a lot. At that time a thought arose to Mrs.Desai that like her there might be many a devotees who due to Age, financial problems, ill-health etc might not be able to go to Shirdi for Baba's darshan so why not to have a Mandir of SaiBaba here in their area itself.

It is then that they themselves shifted some place else and converted their this Ground Floor House into Baba's Mandir in 1977 on Sharad / Kojagiri Purnima (its foundation day)

Also, here Baba is enshrined as a big Picture & not as an Idol because Mrs.Desai believed that Baba`s true Resting Place - the place where he used to spend most of his time was "Dwarkamai"so named this temple as"SHRI SAI DWARKAMAI MANDIR" thus a Big Picture of Baba sitting in Dwarkamai is kept here instead of an Idol.

All the works & running of this Mandir is looked after a Trust headed by Trustee (since inception) - Mr.Sharad Sawant (Bandra-Mumbai)

Mandir Timings -

The Mandir is Open to all everyday from 07:30AM to 09:00PM

Arti is performed everyday at 12:15PM

On Saturdays special Bhajan / Kirtan programme from 07:00Pm to 08:30Pm

Thursdays the mandir is Open for Longer period from 07:30Am to 11PM.

The First Arti is performed at 12:15Pm.

The Second Arti is performed at 08:30PM to 09:00PM, then following an Hour`s break a special Sai Bhajan programme from 10:00PM to 11:00PM

On every Sankashti Chaturthi a special Arti is performed between 08:00PM to 08:30PM

After their Weekly Kirtans all devotees stand up observing a moment of silence infront of Baba followed by combined Prayers to Baba requesting him to Bless All or any one particular Devotee present in the Kirtan, goin through difficult times. (Now, Thats really sweet)

followed to "JARI-MARI DEVI Temple" (Bandra Talao) & then finally to this "SHRI SAI DWARKAMAI MANDIR" at 08:30PM for around 30mins wherein the Arti is done & after which the Palkhi then returns back to the "SAI MANAV" Temple (Bazaar Road - Bandra).

2. Gurupurnima:

Homa-Havan in the morning at 10:30Am followed by Arti at 12:00PM and then Sai Bhandara till 03:00PM.

3. Vijaya Dashami (Dashera):

LORD GANESHA`s TEMPLE:

Right opposite Baba`s Mandir, in the same courtyard is a very sacred Audumbar Tree whose trunk is shaped in the form of Lord Ganesha`s Face.Audumbar is the Kalpataru tree of Kaliyug - Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh live here in the form of Shri Dattatreya.
It is said that those who See, Touch, do Pradakshina or Meditate near the Audumbar Tree will be the most fortunate of all.Moreover, Lord Ganesha`s appearance on this tree makes it all the more Divine & Blessed.

I would like to share few miracles that happened on Ramanavami day(24.03.2010) in Shibpur Sai Baba Temple. kindly put this in your website.

Anand Joshi: He is great Sai devotee,he inaugurated Sai baba temple Shibpur on Ramanavami day.He had a blessed experience on that day.Anandji asked Amit ji that you tell Baba is here than show me,I want to see him.Then Amit ji told him to go inside the temple with candle ,switch off the light and meditate on candle light,if baba wants then definitely he will give him darshan.

It was around 11 pm in night he went inside sat with candle and started meditating on Baba.He had the vision of Khandoba, Vittal and Baba (Baba's face he described it as old as it looked like Baba just few days before samadhi).He felt great vibration there,he was in very happy state.He submerged in devotion sea of Baba.Anand ji told he felt great vibration inside temple and near the neem tree .And thus felt the blessing of Baba.
A 24 year married girl from Nadia district had some infection on left side chest. It started growing.Girl's family stopped local treatment and took her to good hospital in Calcutta.Wound infection had spread till mouth.It was diagnosed as cancer.She was give 3-4 bottles of blood every week and doctor said she will not survive ,as it has reached nth stage and she was bedridden.

On the day of Ramanavami her's husband's sister marriage was arranged in Shibpur.She got a call that her sister in law will die so come to see her.

She came to Shibpur Sai baba temple and asked amit ji for prasad she can put on her sister in law's mouth .She was crying badly.Amit ji prayed to baba and gave her prasad. She came to her sister in law's place who was about to leave this world and put the prasad at her mouth.Patient got up from bed, she said she is feeling much better and why she did'nt get prasad earlier?

At 8 pm they called Amit ji and informed this,everyone was happy as Baba gave a jeevan to her. Such wonderful gift Baba gave.Now after 1 week of Ramanavami,they informed Amit ji that her woulds are getting healed and she is much better,even doctors are shocked.Is it not our Baba who is above all?Nothing is impossible to our Sai deva.Jai to Sadguru Sainath .

I wanted to share the Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple information with you for your website.We visited this temple few months back and I have information which I would like to share with all the Sai devotees.The temple is very close (about 5 miles or less) to the very famous Sri Venkateshwara temple, Pittsburg.We have visited the temple couple of times so far and have received Baba's Prasadam each time.

By Lord Sai's grace and blessings,I had again the opportunity to visit Shirdi Sai temple in Pittsburg USA last weekend .This time,we were able to click a couple of photos of the temple from outside and inside.

Inside,there is a big hall with Lord Dattatreya pratima in marble and Shirdi Sai Photos and photos of other Gods.I was allowed to take photos of this hall too and I am attaching those photos as well.

After requesting the person in charge of the temple Mr.Chandra Raghu, with permission from temple management, he was able to get Baba pratima's photo mailed to me few days ago. Would like to mention that the room where Lord Sai's Pratima is kept is a big hall .It is a beautiful marble pratima and right in front of the marble pratima is Lord Shivalingam.Baba bhajans are conducted every Thursday and about 20 local families attend the bhajans. Also, next to this main room, there is another room where Dhuni is kept and also has a shop selling Baba's CD's, cassettes and books.

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple was the first Shirdi Temple in the United States, started in the 1980’s by Sri Panduranga Rao Malyala and his wife Mahalakshmi.A 5’3” marble pratima of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba sits in the sanctum.The Temple is not far from the popular Sri Venketeswara Temple and Hindu Jain Temple’s near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. History of the Temple:

The main purpose of the temple is to extend peace and joy to entire humanity by earnest prayers for the welfare of all beings.Ordered by Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi Himself. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple of Pittsburgh was initiated in 1979 under His divine guidance.It was fully operational from July 24th 1985 and ran in a rented house in Turtle creek,a Pittsburgh suburb,till August 1988 and from September 1988, in the basement of 3744 Old William Penn Hwy.

After many trials and tribulations,the Municipality of Monroeville approved the buildings on 1449 and 1451 Abers Creek Road,currently home of the temple,facilitating the purpose (resolution no: 90-25 ST dated august 13, 1991. )We left a photograph of Sai Baba on the site on Vijayadasami,Thursday,October 17th in the presence of devotees.

Later, a small Baba pratima consecrated at the Shirdi Samadhi Mandir and a life size picture of Baba were installed amidst a lot of devotees on Saturday December 7th 1991 (Sri Prajotpatti nama samvatsara, Marga Sukla Vidiya, Moola Nakshatra yukta Abhijit lagna at 12 noon.)

2. 28.04.2010-Wednesday -Morning ,Noon and Evening and Night with bhajan and kirtana in the worship of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba with the Lordship of Mahayaga along with Maha aarti of 1008(One thousand eight)no of tapper.

3. 29.4.2010 -THURSDAY- After the worship of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba in the Morning ,Afternoon,Evening and Night (Anna Mahotsava) participation in the holi festive feast (Annadanam)by at least 18000 children and general people. With awareness Programme for "Make pollution free environment " and Sai Sandhya(cultural programme).

4. 30.04.2010 -FRIDAY -After the worship of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba in the Morning ,Afternoon ,Evening and Night ,free medical with eye check up camp with distribution of food packets ,nutritional food and gift for children ,medicine and nutrition for the pregnant mother and cultural programme.

After a long time, I am again posting more details on one of the blessed temple of Sai Baba in Bangalore. Sai Uncle Jayaraman ji after reading the article in website about Shivamma Thayee and Roopen Agrahara temple decided to visit it personally .After his visit he felt the need to write few more important details about the temple, so that devotees who wish to go to the temple find it easy and can reach there without any trouble . Along with the address, uncle has also given finer details about the temple, its structural layout and present condition .Please read the mail below for better understanding .Jai Sai Ram

Dear Manisha,
After reading about the Roopen Agrahara temple in your Temple website I decided to visit it to verify the historical importance of it. Therefore this (10.02.2010 )evening I suddenly visited the temple with my wife. It is in a big compound which looks like a dwelling. From road side it does not give temple look and because I had contacted some body in the telephone number )given n the website ) to understand how to reach the temple, I could reach there with some difficulty.

Way To Temple.

It is in a narrow lane of approx 15 feet wide and can be reached from the Hosur main road. I have given a road map for others to understand its location.

Inside Layout Of Temple:
There are three temples- all Sai Baba’s, built by Shivamma mother- inside the same compound, but strangely away from each other. Reason…… no body could explain.

There are Samadhis of several people inside the compound. As per the poojari one set of Samadhi kept neat and clean is that of the land owner and his family members devotees of Sivammaa thayee. The second set of Samadis is stated to be some of the saints and those who took diksha from mother.

My heart became heavy after seeing the plight of all the three temples, which are in dilapidated condition. You will feel vibration when you enter those temples, but how such a wonderful temple of high value in terms of power and grace remains neglected by the devotees of Baba is quite puzzling.

I thought it will be appropriate to make it public through Manisha’s website so that some group takes care to uplift this historical temple built for Baba by a powerful devotee who lived and witnessed the presence of Baba physically. What do one expect for the upliftment of the temple from a very dedicated, poor ,devoted and soft spoken polite poojaris like Venkatesa Raju and his brother Sampangi with their meager earnings? They are at least deserving lots who take pain to remain there and open the temples to explain and show the temples to those who visit there. Should such a historical temple be allowed to stand in ruins?

Pratima Location :

Temple No-1 : Detail.

Inside the big compound one can see the first temple which consists of Mother’s Samadi in the underground above which is the Baba's sanctum. The temple is divided into two rooms.

In the first room a Nandi statue is placed on a high pedestal facing Baba. (About 50 feet distance between these two) . On the right side corner of the first room is Navagraha.Some typewriters have been kept in some tables to suggest that some training is given to students in that room.
In the second room you can find Baba’s pratima sitting posture with right leg placed over the left leg- made of Black marble. Two pratima of lord Ganesh on the right side and lord Muruga ( Karthikeya ) on the left side are also seen. All the above are placed in a one feet high wide platform ( 5’X5’ appro) in the same room.

The bajan is held in the same room below the platform. On the left corner of the second room ,steps to reach underground Samadi of Sivamaa thaaye has been built. The samadi is built in about 10’X10’room. The entire temple area is dark and when one enters they can not feel it to be a temple. But when you reach Baba's hall and the samadi of mother you can see your body vibrating with some power.

Temple No-2 : Detail.

This is next to temple No 1. Again the temple is divided into two rooms. During the lifetime of Sivamma thayee she lived in the first room and rested in the right side corner which is cemented. Some of her belongings are also found there. It is understood that she used to come out of the room and sit in the front varanda to give appearance to devotee. In the second room, one can see the pratima of Saibaba seated under seshnaag with five heads ( like lord Vishnu lying on seshnaag ) made of silver (about one or one and a half feet high) . It appears that the said idol was made for Sivammaa thayee for her pooja.

Again this temple is also dark inside and several material is kept in shabby condition may be for want of almirahs and racks.

Temple No-3 : Detail.

From temple No 2 go 10 feet or so, take right, and go as it curves to reach the dead end. Again this temple too is divided into two rooms. In the first room one can find a model of Dwarakmayi Baba on the right side corner and on the left side some more material like photo of Baba etc. is there. In the second small room is the standing posture of Saibaba with begging bowl made of white marble stone.
