Tea Party Fervor

The Tea Party Convention, held in Nashville(TN), was a giant success and though only about 600 conventioneers actually attended it got a lot of national media attentions

A splinter faction of the Republican party have become discontent and have caused a stir with this within its ranks. The TPN and their convention have given America and option for third party rule and the Democratic party a real hard look at its new political adversaries... a product of 21st century American politics.

Sarah Palin stole the show with her style and presence. Her speech both challenging and mocked Barrack Obama and his policies.

In Political Boss' opinion she was "Earthy", "Articulate" and "Hot".

But there was someone else the the Tea Party convention that wasn't so classy.

Former republican congressman Tom Tancredo speech was not all stylish and his presence only seemed to motivate a call to return America back to a dark and hurtful period in this great country's histoy.

He suggested that America bring back the "Literacy Tests" that stained our democracy until the 1960's.

And the real sad and disgusting thing was about the whole affairs was when the tea partyers yelled and cheered at the prospect of bringing back this "Jim Crow" law that kept millions of black-Americans for voting. Many Blacks resisted the indignities of Jim Crow, and, far too often, they paid for their bravery with their lives.

One could only assume that after hearing such BULL spoken on a national level that if the Tea Party movement ever came to power in this country that some form of bigotry would be allowed and practiced by the government of the United States of America.

In his book "1984", George Orwell wrote that "Freedom is the Freedom to say 2+2=4". I think what he meant by that was to alter a persons' perception of reality is subjecting them to slavery. Tell a person what to feel and think is like killing a persons' right to choose and how to live ones life. Why is the Obama administration spending time on Health Care Reform when jobs are being lost by the hundreds of thousands per week. If you do not have a job and are not medically insured the "Public Option" would be your only option, and not having medical insurance under the Obama plan would be against the law! It seems the "Left" wants us to suffer a little than eliminate our right of "choice" starting with Health Care.

Although congress hasn't sent a Health Care Reform bill to the president as of yet, the debate on Health Care Reform has been anything but transparent. With over a 1,000 pages you'd think "We The People" would be able to view every debate and decision being made about one of the most important changes made to American life.

During his run for the presidency of the United States Obama promised Americans a complete in-depth C-span coverage on every important policy he and his administration would plan to make. Instead we got the usual political babbling from both parties, close door meetings with backdoor deals being brokered and none bipartisanship.

Everything was suppose to change once Obama became President of the United States instead we get 10% unemployment and the government take over of the Auto industry, the Banking institutions and the Auto industry. And if the Health Care Reform bill passes in its present form all Americans, and not just the mega rich but all of us, are going to pay more taxes.

Muslim Spies on Capitol Hill

"GOP Lawmakers Accuse Muslim Advocacy Group CAIR of Planting Spies on Capitol Hill".

Four House Republicans on Wednesday accused the nation's largest Muslim advocacy group of trying to "infiltrate" Capitol Hill by placing interns in the offices of lawmakers who handle national security issues.

The four lawmakers, members of the anti-terror caucus, asked for an investigation into the Council on American Islamic Relations after discovering an internal memo noting the group's strategy. They also highlighted a new book by Paul Sperry titled "Muslim Mafia," scheduled for release on Thursday, which claims the group has been actively infiltrating Congress.

Reps. Sue Myrick of North Carolina, Trent Franks of Arizona, Paul Broun of Georgia and John Shadegg of Arizona asked the Internal Revenue Service to determine whether CAIR deserves its nonprofit status. They also are asking their colleagues to review a summary of findings that led the Justice Department to name CAIR as a co-conspirator in a terrorism case.

The internal memo, provided to FOXNews.com, stated that CAIR would "focus on influencing congressmen responsible for policy that directly impacts the American Muslim community."

The memo cited three House committees -- Homeland Security, Intelligence and the Judiciary -- as panels on which lawmakers preside over policy affecting American Muslims.

"We will develop national initiatives such as a lobby day and placing Muslim interns in Congressional offices," the memo read.

Earlier this year the FBI severed its once-close ties with CAIR as evidence mounted of the group's links to a support network for Hamas, which the U.S. has designated a terrorist organization.

"It's frightening to think that an organization with clear-cut ties to terrorism could have a hand in influencing policy -- especially national security policy -- within our government," Myrick said. "The investigations that we're asking for are simple, and I'm hopeful that they will bring to light any and all information regarding the goals of CAIR."

Franks called on CAIR to renounce its ties to terrorist groups and state publicly that it does not support Hamas or the Muslim Brotherhood.

"I take the charges levied against CAIR and laid out in this book very seriously because they affect our national security," Franks said in a statement. "This Congress must be deliberate in taking a strong stance against those groups and organizations that align themselves with terrorists."

"We live in a post-9/11 world where the coincidence of nuclear proliferation and Islamic terrorism pose a very dangerous combination and real threat to America's national security," he said. "That is why it is critical, in light of the well supported documents and information, that the U.S. Congress take this issue seriously."

CAIR decried the call as a "racist" and "insidious" attack on Muslims and mocked the allegations.

"If it wasn't so insidious, it would be laughable," CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper told FOXNews.com. "What are their charges? CAIR seeks political participation of Muslims. I'm shocked."

Hooper said the evidence proves only that the group is trying, like every other minority group, to engage Muslims in the political process.

"Why is it evil when Muslims seek political participation?" he asked.

In the book "Muslim Mafia," a six-month sting appears to link CAIR to an organized crime network made up of more than 100 other Muslim front groups that make up the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. The book claims the group is bent on destroying Western civilization.

Hooper said Sperry's efforts only proved the group's good intentions.

"The guy spied on us for months, stole documents -- and the most they came up with is CAIR seeks to work with policymakers on Capitol Hill?" Hooper said.

"I see it as a stamp of approval."

In the age of Bipartisanship

“Genuine bipartisanship,” he wrote, “assumes an honest process of give-and-take, and that the quality of the compromise is measured by how well it serves some agreed-upon goal, whether better schools or lower deficits. This in turn assumes that the majority will be constrained — by an exacting press corps and ultimately an informed electorate — to negotiate in good faith.

“If these conditions do not hold — if nobody outside Washington is really paying attention to the substance of the bill, if the true costs . . . are buried in phony accounting and understated by a trillion dollars or so — the majority party can begin every negotiation by asking for 100% of what it wants, go on to concede 10%, and then accuse any member of the minority party who fails to support this ‘compromise’ of being ‘obstructionist.’

“For the minority party in such circumstances, ‘bipartisanship’ comes to mean getting chronically steamrolled, although individual senators may enjoy certain political rewards by consistently going along with the majority and hence gaining a reputation for being ‘moderate’ or ‘centrist.’”

The Wall Street Journals' Bill McGurn argued that the forgotten quote proves that Obama failed by his own standards. While at the same time, a Weekly Standard writer says this shows that Obama thinks that “sometimes ‘bipartisanship’ means steamrolling the minority.”

Democrats have the majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate and getting things done should be a breeze but "Blue-dog Democrats" have been vary wary of the "Far-lefts" attempt to direct the country towards a socialist America.

So, bringing the Republican to the table for 'ideas' on their vision for the future of America would be counter productive in the eyes the of the far-left of the Democratic party.... Why try to be bipartisan.

The new era of "Elephants and Donkeys" living together in harmony was Obama's idea not the Democratic party's.

Iran: A Cry for Freedom

As passions rage in Iran's largest city, Tehran, the world holds its breath and hopes that the violence being perpetrated by police and security forces against peaceful Iranian protesters will not escalate into mass murder by government troops.

It's plain to see how the leaders of Iran will handle the Green Revolution.

The streets that once echoed "Death to America" now cry for democracy and run red with blood. With the majority of the population in Iran under the age of 26 and have no memory of the events that lead to their present form of government; it's wonder it took this long for true descent to take root in Iranian society.

Let's hope when the dust settles that the world is a safer place and Iran is transformed into a beckon of change in the middle east and not the sponsors of terror and misery its government seems to project of the Iranian people with it's fiery rhetoric.

Swine Flu Pandemic... should we worry

Not since the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918, which killed about 675,000 Americans in the United States alone, has a flu outbreak worried the nations of the world enough so to go on "high alert" status.

According to U.S. health officials as of Monday a confirmed 42 cases of a new A(H1N1) swine flu virus in the United States, including 28 New York City high school students

Federal health officials are encouraged by the news that the swine flu virus is lacking the genes that made the 1918 strain so deadly. They made statements in effect saying that all was manageable and controllable if by chance the U.S. was hit hard by the deadly swine flu virus.

The United States has distributed an ample supply of the vaccine to combat the swine flu virus and it seems that U.S. health officials have a well planed response to an outbreak here.

But what if an underdeveloped nation like China got an outbreak of the swine flu, how could an outbreak there affect the world's already fragile economic situation? Not to mention the political ramifications.

With a majority of the Chinese people living in the countrysides how prepared are officials there?

According to the World Health Organization:

As of yesterday a confirmed total of 1,490 laboratory tested A/H1N1 flu,or swine flu, cases from 21 countries, including 30 deaths.

The largest numbers of cases continued to be reported from North American countries, including Mexico (822), the United States (403) and Canada (140), the UN agency said in a latest update.

Mexico's cases included 29 deaths. The only other deaths was reported from the United States.

Other governments that have reported laboratory confirmed cases include Spain (57), Britain (27), Germany (9), New Zealand (6), France (4), Italy (5), Israel (4), El Salvador (2) and South Korea (2), Austria (1), Colombia (1), Costa Rica (1), Denmark (1), Ireland (1), Portugal (1), Netherlands (1), Switzerland (1), and Hong Kong, China (1)..

How prepared are the world's health organizations when it comes to combating this century's first pandemic?

One can only hope that this new strain can be contained to the point that it is no longer a global threat.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D) says: I wasn't told....

In a press briefing held last Thursday, Rep. Nancy Pelosi(D) flatly denied that she was ever told "Waterboarding", a tactic "The Left" feels is torture, would be used terror suspects held at Gitmo.

She also said that- "Her recollection was, 'They told us they had opinions from the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel that they could, but not that they were' using so-called enhanced techniques, 'and that if and when they were used, they would brief Congress at that time,'" reported Congressional Quarterly. "She said she was never told that such techniques were actually being used."

She continued to say that- "Members who receive intelligence briefings are tied down by secrecy rules. 'The point is they come in to inform you of what they are doing. ... What recourse do we have? None,' she said, noting that members cannot discuss the contents of confidential briefings with other lawmakers, even the members of the Intelligence committees."

But According to MSNBC Nancy Pelosi knew more than she is willing to admit and for a while now:

In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

"The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough," said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange. ...

Yet long before "waterboarding" entered the public discourse, the CIA gave key legislative overseers about 30 private briefings, some of which included descriptions of that technique and other harsh interrogation methods, according to interviews with multiple U.S. officials with firsthand knowledge.

With one known exception, no formal objections were raised by the lawmakers briefed about the harsh methods during the two years in which waterboarding was employed, from 2002 to 2003, said Democrats and Republicans with direct knowledge of the matter. The lawmakers who held oversight roles during the period included Pelosi and Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) and Sens. Bob Graham (D-Fla.) and John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), as well as Rep. Porter J. Goss (R-Fla.) and Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan). ...

Only after information about the practice began to leak in news accounts in 2005 -- by which time the CIA had already abandoned waterboarding -- did doubts about its legality among individual lawmakers evolve into more widespread dissent. The opposition reached a boiling point this past October, when Democratic lawmakers condemned the practice during Michael B. Mukasey's confirmation hearings for attorney general.

Pelosi declined to comment directly on her reaction to the classified briefings. But a congressional source familiar with Pelosi's position on the matter said the California lawmaker did recall discussions about enhanced interrogation. The source said Pelosi recalls that techniques described by the CIA were still in the planning stage -- they had been designed and cleared with agency lawyers but not yet put in practice -- and acknowledged that Pelosi did not raise objections at the time. ...

Harman, who replaced Pelosi as the committee's top Democrat in January 2003, disclosed Friday that she filed a classified letter to the CIA in February of that year as an official protest about the interrogation program. Harman said she had been prevented from publicly discussing the letter or the CIA's program because of strict rules of secrecy.

Bagram prison or Gitmo.. What's the difference?

The United States is holding about 630 prisoners at the Bagram Air Force Base located north of Kabul in Afghanistan.

The prison was originally set-up to be a "temporary measure" in 2001. A place where hardcore Islamic extremists could be detained and interrogated.

But now with escalation of U.S. troops into Afghanistan the Bagram prison will likely play a more active and important combat role in the war against Islamic extremists that threaten the Afghan peoples' national stability and "sense of democracy".

At the height of its operation Gitmo was viewed as some "legal gray area" where Al Qaeda suspects could be held and questioned in secrecy and with no legal representation.

Critics from both the "The Left" and "The Right" are already calling it "Obama's Guantánamo." And with the one of the best tools in the war against terror, Gitmo, shut down; the question Americans should be asking is: Where do WE detain and interrogate these Islamic terrorists that have sworn to murder as many Americans as possible.

Only the senseless slaughter of innocent people and blood on their hands can their lives have any value and religious worth.

An estimated 242 Al Qaeda prisoners remain at Guantánamo. That's a contrast in comparison to the more than 600 are held at Bagram today.

With construction underway, efforts to expand the facility will eventually give it the capacity to detain and interrogate as many as 1,100 terror suspects.

A few months ago US District Judge John Bates asked the Obama administration to "refine" its "detainee" position. He gave the new administration until Feb. 20 2009 to outline any changes in legal arguments developed by the Bush administrations handling of its terror detainees.

A pending case involving four longtime detainees being held without charges at Bagram are challenging the legality of their open-ended detention. All four are said to have been captured outside Afghanistan and were brought to Bagram for detention and interrogation. This is just one allegation out of many to see more (...).

According to Tina Foster, an attorney with the International Justice Network, "Some of our clients have been in custody just as long or longer as those in Guantánamo".

Limbaugh vs. The White House

Rush Limbaugh is a clear winner this week as his ratings have nearly doubled since his feud with the White House burst into the media limelight.

But the Obama administration's strategy of trying to elevate the conservative radio commentator to leader of the opposition has prompted a vigorous counterattack, with a key Republican senator saying the move is an "outrage" that "reeks of hypocrisy coming from a president who campaigned against these very cynical political tactics last fall."

That letter from Sen. John Cornyn (Tex.), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and a Washington Post opinion piece by House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio), also accusing the White House of cynicism, underscore the GOP's attempt to make President Obama pay a political price for the rhetorical assault on Limbaugh.

Asked at a briefing Wednesday whether it was "hypocritical" for him to go after the talk radio host and criticize cable commentators, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said he would "plead guilty" to being "counterproductive."

Limbaugh said this week that White House officials are "targeting" him because "they need a demon to distract and divert from what their agenda is." He said Obama aides are "going after private citizens" in a manner reminiscent of Richard M. Nixon's "enemies list." He also challenged the president to a debate on his show.

The media have feasted on the story since Limbaugh told a conservative conference Saturday that he wants Obama to fail because he opposes the president's big-government policies. The next day, Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, told CBS that Limbaugh is "the voice and the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican Party."

While some Republicans have distanced themselves from Limbaugh's rhetoric, others, such as Rep. Mike Pence (Ind.), chairman of the House Republican Conference, said they agree with the radio host's denunciation of Obama's policies.

Not to be outdone, the Democratic National Committee has created a Web site to solicit slogans for an anti-Limbaugh billboard to be erected in his home town of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Nancy's Roman Holiday

On February 18 ’09 just after a meeting between the Pope and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the Vatican Press Office released a statement commenting on what was said at the historical meeting between two of the world’s most prominent figures.

And the statement read: "His Holiness took the opportunity to speak of the requirements of the natural moral law and the Church's consistent teaching on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death which enjoin all Catholics, and especially legislators, jurists and those responsible for the common good of society, to work in cooperation with all men and women of good will in creating a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development."

Vatican insiders confided in an interview with LifeSiteNews.com said that such releases are always phrased in diplomatic language and thus the correction of the Speaker who describes herself as a "faithful Catholic," despite her abortion advocacy, should be taken as a firm rebuke.
Visits with the Pope are treasured by all politicians for the photo “op” they provide. Pelosi, however, was not afforded that customary photo by the Vatican. The Associated Press reports that "the Vatican said it was not issuing a photo of the meeting -- as it usually does when the pope meets world leaders -- saying the encounter was private."

Pelosi issued a press release on the 15-minute meeting with the Pope. "It is with great joy that my husband, Paul, and I met with his Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI today," she said. "In our conversation, I had the opportunity to praise the Church's leadership in fighting poverty, hunger, and global warming, as well as the Holy Father's dedication to religious freedom and his upcoming trip and message to Israel."

However the statements the Vatican released made no mention of the comments that Pelosi stressed in her release.

As for Nancy Pelosi's positive spin on the meeting, not even most left-leaning Papal watchers are taking the bait. John Allen, a Vatican’s correspondent who writes for the National Catholic Reporter, noted that "routine Vatican declarations after diplomatic meetings also generally sum up the range of issues discussed rather than concentrating on a particular point. In that sense, the statement can only be read as a rejection of Pelosi's statements last summer, and, in general, of her argument that it's acceptable for Catholics in public life to take a pro-choice position."

Many pro-life organizations from the US and Canada expressed their serious about how Mrs. Pelosi was going to be received by the Holy Father. A comprehensive memoranda was sent to sent to different Vatican authorities by some of these organizations. This memoranda detailed the anti-life statements and the pro-death voting record of Mrs. Pelosi.

Some back in Rome feel that the Pope by issuing his latest statement is ready to stand up with courage to politicians that claim they are Catholics but their voting record denies those hypocritical assertions.

Barrack Obama is now the President of the United States of America, and not a second to soon!  CHANGE is in the air and soon the policies that got us into these dark times will be replaced by policies that will bring us back from the brink of financial ruin and social unrest.

Only a person with super-human abilities can fight the evils of bipartisanship and leap,in a single bound, the hills of crap coming out of Washington DC these days.

And if Barrack Obama wants to do at least half of what he promised to fight for on the election trail, he'll have to do just that.

A good portion of the villainy our president will have to contend with will come for the "LEFT".  Their already fumed with Mr. Obama over Pastor Rick Warrens' part in the presidential inauguration, he backed prop 8 in California which protected the institution of marriage by stating that a union between a man and a woman was the only legal form of marriage in that state. it passed overwhelmingly at the polls.

Another grip the "LEFT" has with Barrack Obama is his non-committal in regards to hearings congress wants to have over the Bush administrations handling of the war in Iraq and in particular the issues of "Torture".  Barrack Obama has stated that he'd prefer to move the country forward and that hearings would only distract the country on the wrong direction.

Congressman Conyers from Michigan's 14th district has already begun to gather support for such proceedings.  The Democrats and the LEFT have waited 8-long years to get at the Bush Administration and now's here's their big chance.... revenge is bitter sweet.

That diabolical duo of the "Queen of Mean" Nancy Pelosi (D) and Sen.Harry Reid (D) of Nevada, the "Dessert Weasel" also stated that they would welcome any criminal proceedings that would come out of congressional hearing on the issue of torture.

With all the problems the U.S. is having, these type's of "get-back" hearings can only distract congress from its real job; restoring our nation to its rightful place in the world as a global leader of financial prosperity and Democratic values.

President Obama ran on a ticket of CHANGE but it seems all the Democrats in congress have on their minds is REVENGE.  This is just another example of how the "LEFT" is going to do what they want to do... THEY got Barrack Obama into the White House and their not going to let him forget it.

There's no question about it, Barrack Obama and the Democratic Party have become the "Darlings" of the Mainstream Media, the saviors of the nation and the bringers of "Change" to a country racked with war and economical strife.

The results of the elections in 2000 had never been accepted by the "Left" as legitimate ones.  They claimed that Al Gore had received 543,895 more individual votes than George W. Bush and as a result came to the conclusion that George W. Bush and Republicans had some how corrupted the election.

Liberal Media reported that President Bush had taken advantage of the tragic events of 911 than later the invasion of Afghanistan to settle some old score with Saddam Hussein and invade Iraq.  Their attacks on the Bush Administration became even more "personal" and "brutal".

At the beginning of the war in Iraq all you'd hear about was news filled with insurgent lead bloodshed and mayhem, Halliburton scandals and Human Rights violations at the hands of American Soldiers using "jackbooted" tactics.  Nothing America ever did in Iraq was positive.

Al Qaeda choose Iraq as its battlefield soon after the U.S. invaded and has lead the insurgency in attacks against Coalition forces and civilians alike ever since with its own brand of homicidal horror.  Winning the war has its positive result and the Mainstream Media should report more on how the people of Iraq are now benefiting from U.S. efforts and policies that have guided this country since March 20, 2003.  The War on Terror has been reported at times as "not winnable" by the Mainstream Media and "LEFT" leaning politicians.

When President Bush declared that a new "Surge" in troops and resources would be the next tact in Iraqi war it was completely ignored as a viable option and reported as "doomed to fail" by news organizations such as MSNBC, The NYTimes and CNN just to name a very few.  But when it turned out that the "Surge" had worked the "Left" completely ignored its significance, claiming the success of the "Surge" was the result of Iraqi only efforts.

An other example of Media Bias that benefited the "Left" was when the "Mainstream Media" down played or ignored Democrat Barney Franks' leading role in the near collapse of our nations housing market,which has never been truly addressed.

The Democrats have been in power on the "Hill" for two-years,that's when Pelosi and Reid became the leaders of their respective houses, and for the past two-years they've done nothing to move the country into a positive direction; socially or economically.  Liberal media past on reporting the inaction's of the politicians in-charge (the Democratic leadership).

Their hatred for George W. Bush and his administration was so strong that they couldn't leave it to chance that an election would solve the Republican control of the country which they perceived as a problem.

Liberal media's answer to the problem was to help rig election'08 by NOT reporting anything negative about Barrack Obama or any Democratic candidate running for public office and by hammering the Republicans on every issue and on every mis-step.  They distorted truth and used the nations passions to generate support for their guys.

"Left" leaning media outlet's such as the VIEW openly offended John McCain while showering praises on Mr. Obama when he had visited the show.  MSNBC became the official "Barrack Obama Channel" during the '08 election season.  And the New York Times frequently published questionable articles against conservatives supporters from unverifiable resources.  Its latest legal problems stem by way of a $27 million defamation lawsuit filed by a Washington lobbyist back in December'08.

Now that election'08 is over and the "age of Aquarius" is upon us, let's hope that True and Positive change will at last ease worried minds and heal our Nation.  But with the scandals hovering around Gov. Richardson and Gov. Blagojevich and with the liberals in Minnesota trying to get Al Franken to the Senate by STEALING the election, the only change I see is the replacing of old political bosses with new political bosses.
