Hey guys, are you ready for a Trash to Treasure feature?

Today I am loving these revamped end tables from the blog Reposhture Studio! These guys started their journey as a road side find! Ahhh, free furniture...is there anything better?

Ahhh, light and bright! And check out the silver leafed top...so pretty and elegant. There are so many things I love here...the freshly painted tables, the mid century modern chair and the geometric patterned rug. It's all fabulous!

Fun Indoor/Outdoor Area Rugs!

Hey guys happy Monday morning!

Well I was in Target this morning and did a double take as I walked past the rug isle. I just happened to glance over and (sigh)...I saw rugs with modern geometric patterns in fun n' vibrant colors. Now the ones I saw in the store were smaller 3 x 5's. However these larger ones below are offered on-line only and come in two sizes - 5 x 7's & 7 x 10's.

So check out these fabulous Indoor/Outdoor area rugs from Target's Threshold collection that definitely won't break the bank!

Our Built-Ins...a few new picture frames

Hey guys, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day...I sure did! So over the week-end I made a small change to our accessorized built-ins. I just switched out our picture frames. The ones in the before picture are a collection of frames I've had for a very long time.

But as I passed by this area the other day I thought...it's looking a little too cluttered. So I purchased a few new black frames from Target and Home Goods. I like how they contrast nicely with the white built-ins.

Also a few of those pictures got relocated in new gold frames across the room.

Ahhh, I am loving our new frames and gold accessories. And here's a look at my Diy spray painted vase if you haven't seen it yet. If you missed this project click here.

You know sometimes it's the little things, or the details that make the biggest impact when decorating. So look around your space with a new perspective...you may just see an area that needs a simple update.

A Cool Blue Room Design...

Hey guys TGIF! Today I'd like to share my latest Mood Board Room Design I whipped up for a client this week...

The sofas were purchased by the Clients recently for their new home. So I set out to create a space that's chic, elegant and updated. Here' we've got a color scheme of blues, browns, creams...and green. Very cool and relaxing.

So what do you guys think? My favorite part of the room is the shag rug. Love, love the texture of a good shag rug! Oh and those 95 inch contrast band curtain panels are a great find too at around $37 each.

Yup, Fabulous...for less! That's what we're all about ;)

I love this makeover because I had this style dresser when I was a little girl. So fun to see something old become new again. This revamp is modern and fresh - LOVE the gray paint with red knobs...so fun!

Latest Mood Board Design...

Hey guys, here's my latest Mood Board Design.

I have a client who's family room was feeling outdated, heavy and a little dark with her brown leather sofas. But buying all new furniture isn't in the budget. My design plan...keep the sofas and neutralize the room with soft earthy colors and textures. Here we've got a sisal rug, glass tables...and a cool blue club chair and pillows. The overall look is coastal casual, and even with those dark sofas...still light and airy!

Okay, taking your existing sofas and creating a whole new room design that's chic and updated (and affordable)...this is what Finding Fabulous by design is all about.

Ahhh, I love peg board storage...perfect for tools and smaller items. And this wood work bench above is great too. I also really like the look of stainless steel in a garage...I think we're leaning towards garage cabinets in SS.

Oh the possibilities! Aren't great storage solutions fabulous?

Spring Projects...garage makeover and more!

WARNING...this blog post has absolutely no fun decorating makeovers or features. It's just our boring old garage and deck ;) But hey it's that time of year...time for Spring cleaning.

Wow, we have been crazy busy around here. The hubby and I are giving our garage a total makeover with painted walls and floors. We're also buying new storage cabinets and bins! We hope to have the garage completely finished in a week or two...I'll keep you updated.

I am seriously soooo excited to have a clean and organized garage!

Okay, here's our new epoxy painted floor above. We chose not to do the epoxy with the sprinkles because we've got two dogs, and we didn't want dog hair sticking to it. With this smooth finish...the dog hair should just sweep right up. Note, the storage in the back is NOT finished. I hope to have a full reveal in a week or two.

But my hubby has been busy organizing his tools! Love it when everything has a place and things are easy to find.

And then if that's not enough...today we had our deck painted/stained. Here it is finished above. When we first moved here it was dark red wood circa 1980. I lightened it up with this durable solid stain. Here's a picture I took last year from inside the screened porch looking out...

Okay these are our Spring projects...still in progress! What projects are you guys working on? I can't wait to show you our garage when it's all finished. The hubby's got his eye on new storage cabinets and a cool work bench area too.

Inspiration - Palm Fronds...

Hey guys - I know, I know...we've been MIA over these last few weeks! What can I say sometimes a much needed Vacation and bloggy break are needed to maintain sanity ;) But we're back!

The weather is finally warm here in Charlotte, NC and I am over the moon! We actually just had one of the coldest and rainiest Winters that I can remember. So the sun and warmer temps have got me thinking about sunny places, warm vacation destinations and just simple decorating ideas that are tropical and fun!

I actually saw a palm frond flower arrangement in Hilton Head last week while on our family Vacay and thought to myself...I can totally do this at home! Not for every day of course, but for a party or special occasion...why not! Okay, so here's some fabulous Palm Frond Inspiration...that I LOVE!

You can check out my website here. The blog is fun, but I wanted to help people locally update and decorate their homes...affordably! So I created a website, started taking photos for my portfolio and sure enough this lil' venture has turned into THE perfect part time job for me. Just yesterday I met with a client for a color consultation...I just love the work.

After starting the business, the one thing I didn't have was a way to market my business using my car as I drive around town visiting clients. But I wasn't sure what I needed...maybe a decal for my car window with our web address and telephone number? Maybe I needed a car magnet, but didn't know where to look.

Well thankfully I found what I needed at Magnets on the Cheap!

This site is so easy. Literally all you do is choose a magnet size and quantity. Then you can start designing your magnet from scratch, or customize a professionally designed template. I simply uploaded our company logo, and designed the magnet myself with the help of a customer representative. Here it is...

I know a lot of you bloggers out there are quite the entrepreneurs. So if you need to advertise or market your business venture...think about Magnets on the Cheap! You can easily create a professional and affordable magnet that reflects your business beautifully.

Fab 4 Less....Coral Wall Art

Have you guys seen the Turquoise Coral Wall Art from Layla Grace? Oh yes I am in LOVE with that beachy, coastal vibe! And the turquoise/teal color is beautiful.

But at $259 each...I've got a serious case of sticker shock! Unbelievably all four of these would cost over 1,000.00. Really? Well I found the same prints in a different color from Allposters.com. These Red/Coral Art Prints sell for just $19.99 each.

And the red color is great if your space needs a pop of color! I just framed em' myself with frames I already had and new white mattes! Here they make a great focal point above our large desk in our home office.

Okay, knocking off a high end $1,000 wall grouping for less than $100...decorating for less doesn't get any better!

Coastal Inspired Mood Board....

Hey guys, today I thought I'd share my latest Mood Board Design! This one is inspired by a simple find from Target...The Jacquard Ikat Window Panel from Target's new Threshold Collection. I saw these blue beauties and was instantly inspired to create a Coastal Inspired Family Room for that beach house the hubby and I WILL own one day ;)

Items in this room are a mix of affordable finds and a few higher end pieces too. As with all my designs, I like to mix affordable finds with a few higher end pieces. Honestly though, pillows at $70 a piece are a bit high for our budget. But it's fun to create a design first, and then if needed....switch out a few high priced items for smarter and more affordable ones.

Okay, who's ready to hit the beach? I certainly am dreaming of a coastal getaway!
