Have A Nice Day

KW & KK

2012-07-02T16:36:00.000-04:00

Kanye West was out having a nice day with his lady KK and what looks like Scott so I'm gonna assume that Kourtney was there and some woman decided to hate.

It's hard to hear but the gist of it:

Woman "You Have No Talent"
Kanye "I'm Kanye West, That Doesn't Make Sense"

Classic, if Kanye isn't talent I don't know what is. Tyler the Creator tweeted about him today saying "I Hope To Be As Great As Kanye One Day. Or Close." Not gonna lie, this isn't one of my favorites by kanye but the video is sick.

2012-06-22T12:18:00.000-04:00

Sorry I suck. But here we go again, Finally. Taking classes, working, drawing, and blogging, GAME ON. Spy Films director Arev Manoukian went HAM on this video, Devil's Den off of the Bangarang EP from Skrilly is a sick song, and the visuals the Arev adds are on point. Check it out, even skrillex posted about it on his facebook.

The Devil's Den - Skrillex x Wolfgang Gartner

Went back to Boulder Colorado a couple weeks ago and my boi Wes played this monster for me. What's better than Dre with a little house in his step?

The Next Episode - Dr. Dre x Hedegaard

Sponge, according to urban dictionary, means different things ranging from someone who is asexual to someone who has been shot several times in a video game but isn't dead. But to me Sponge is the greatest person to turn to for new music. He sent me this a couple days ago and it's been on repeat ever since.

Seen that new Internet Explorer commercial? Well the song from it is incredible.

This song needs to be made famous, probably the best thing that has ever happened to rap. NOT

I don't understand how rappers / produces / the general public can allow music like this to even be available for our listening pleasure. There is a reason why The Game said:
"Tie lil B to a full tank of propane, boom, swag, now watch him cook, and just stand there and look"

Song is on point, Somebody I Used To Know - KDrew remix, easily the best remix of this song I've heard. I was shown this by a very unlikely source but I guess even the people who don't listen to electronic music can be swayed to the dark side with a little help from their friend molly. btw, I'm 100% going to ultra next year. Just saying

OWSLA Free Treats Vol. II

2012-03-14T12:48:00.000-04:00

OWSLA, Skrillex's record label, just dropped a compilation of free songs featuring technicians like Kill The Noise, KOAN sound, The Juggernaut, Porter Robinson, as well as a new remix of RUffneck (Full Flex) by Skrilly. So download it.

DOWNLOAD them all!

gotta do it individually sorry.

In case you ever wondered why Skrillex's label is called OWSLA, OWSLA is in fact the name of the society in Watership Down, a book containing a lot of social commentary and social thoughts, but it's a society run by rabbits. One of the best books I've ever read.

Hello Forever / The Pro Letarians

2012-03-08T15:18:00.000-05:00

The Pro Letarians dropped their new album, awesome. Great mixtape, pretty much everything I was hoping for!

DOWNLOAD

Here is a little interview with Jupiter Jim about the new album:

------------------
I was wondering how you feel about the album as a whole?

---It's ridiculous. really outdid ourselves as far as taking it to the next level from the pregame. its a harder more serious sound that i think is gonna take a lot of people by surprise and hopefully turn a lot of heads. album as a whole is definitely top three mixtapes of 2012 in my books hands down.

I saw you referred to as a younger hungrier Kanye? Thoughts on that?

---I'm honored I still think Kanye is one of the hungriest artist ever and I definitely draw a lot of inspiration from him but I am hungry and thirsty and it's a hell of a compliment to be compared to my favorite rapper but I do want to become my own artist you now? like I want to say Jupiter Jim is a beast not that one kid that sounds like Kanye is a beast but thats got nothin to do with Kanye just everything to do with me.

Im glad you said that. I figured it was true, but im sure that soon you'll be placed as your own

---Yea fingers crossed, but I think it will be hard to find real hip hop lovers that wont think this mixtape is dope JO kills the production and I do a fairly good job matching the quality with verses.

ha humble, got another question, favorite verse or song to look out for?

---Um "forever" has sickest verses and "all figured out" has my favorite hook

Got a line for us?

---You listen and tell me which one you think it is and I'll tell you if thats the one I was thinkin of!

-----------------------
Challenge accepted, this mixtape is really good though, you people need to download it, linked above.

ALSO THANKS A BUNCH TO THE PRO LETARIANS FOR THEIR SHOUT OUTS ON TWITTER :

"the text file didn't do it justice but before we drop the tape we need to thank our first ever supporter @HANDClothing"

"@HANDClothing he posted the first ever blog about us, and he's been a major part in helping us get where we are today."

"@HANDClothing and he runs a dope clothing company out of MA that everyone should follow before downloading our mixtape."

"@HANDClothing thanks again, Chief."

My Thoughts: Nike / Michael Jordan

2012-03-05T10:53:00.000-05:00

So, like the previous, I have been listening to a lot of Macklemore and I came across his newest track "Wings," and as a result Ive been thinking (Oh no!) so here are my thoughts. This may turn into a rant, so you have been forewarned!

Wings - Macklemore

I used to rock the Air Jordans, don't get me wrong, I used to say "Mom, look at me, I'm so much faster in my new shoes!" But now as I've grown up I have obviously realized things about this world. One thing I realized but never really made any connection with it was how Nike gets all their shoes made across seas in sweatshops and places where people have nothing and receive nothing while we drop 100+ "for a pair of shoes I would never hoop in." The connection I never made until recently was the amount of kids that get murdered for their kicks. A quote from Jordan on the subject:

"I thought I'd be helping out others and everything would be positive. I thought people would try to emulate the good things I do, they'd try to achieve, to be better. Nothing bad. I never thought because of my endorsement of a shoe, or any product, that people would harm each other. Everyone likes to be admired, but when it comes to kids actually killing each other then you have to re-evaluate things."

The issue is that this isn't new. Kids have been getting murdered since before I was born. And this is a fairly old quote, it's from an issue of Sports Illustrated released in 1990. And my problem with all this is Jordan was the type of guy that was owned by no one. He did his thing, changed the game and became one of the most respected athletes of all time. According to Forbes, Jordan Brand bring in around $1 Billion for Nike, of which Michael Jordan receives around $80 millin in endorsements. Like he said, its nice to be admired but when people are killing each other one needs to re-evaluate.

May 1989 Michael Thomas strangled for his Jordans.
April 1989 Johnny Bates shot for his Jordans.
April 2005 Steve Terrett was shot for his Jordans.
December 2011 Matthew David was shot but was lucky enough to survive with his life.

Michael Jordan do you really want this to be your legacy?

I'm sure it's not directly your fault, but it's all part of a system you don't need to invest in. You receive thousands of dollars a day from endorsement deals but is that really worth the killings? Kids are going to be murdered everyday for what they are wearing and what they are saying and this would happen without the kicks. But is a written contract really worth the killings? I guess that's for you to decide.

"Look at me, look at me, I’m a cool kid
I’m an individual, yea, but I’m part of a movement
My movement told me be a consumer and I consumed it
They told me to just do it, I listened to what that swoosh said" - Macklemore

The Otherside of Macklemore

2012-03-01T10:41:00.001-05:00

I'm feeling the conscious rap recently. I move back and forth between the party rap, the gangsta rap, but I always return to the underground/under-appreciated/conscious rap. There are several kings of the underground, Immortal Technique and Classified are a couple of my eternal favorites, but recently a good friend of mine, George, brought back a voice I hadn't heard in a while.

Otherside - Macklemore x Ryan Lewis ft Fences

Has to be one of the most incredible songs ever, no question in my mind, counteracts the part of lil wayne I hate. I'm not pretending to be above what lil wayne talkes about, but there is a difference between listening it while participating and listening to it while you walk away. People get caught up in it and dont know how to respond, they get sucked down captured and all for what? a story? a friend? what does it take to say no and move on? Its hard, trust me I know, and if you're feeling shitty find solace in songs like this.

p.s. Macklemore made the cover of XXL's Freshman issue, I'm gonna give my opinions on that soon.

Chazzy

2012-02-17T14:04:00.001-05:00

Who Are You?
- I'm an artist, a musician...versatile. Chazzy.

Where Are You From?
- I can't necessarily rep a city, I have moved around a lot. From inside California though, places like Redondo Beach to Hawthorne, Lawndale to near Hermosa Beach and the Orange County area. It was rough.

Where Are You Headed?
- Up, up and up, I hope.

Can you categorize yourself?
- In which way? As a person? Musically? As person I'm distant, shy, I like my alone time. But who doesn't? Musically I'm not sure. Music. HipHop. I just love it. Real.

Do you operate a 9 to 5?
- I don't in the traditional way. But I do own "318 Medical," a legally owned medical marijuana dispensary in San Pedro, Ca.

Do you like performing shows, you said you were shy before?
- Yes. One of my favorite things to do! There is absolutely nothing like being on a stage and letting your highest emotions explode. I've done performances at all different types of venues, we could be here all day haha. From performances during my early days at The Terrace in Pasadena, CA., to the latest shows at the House Of Blues on Sunset in Hollywood. I'll keep it short and sweet.

Do you have any Upcoming Shows?
- Right now, I currently have no shows booked as I am finishing the photoshoots/videoshoots and preparing the release of the mixtape I'm going to drop before my album. "So Versatile", the mixtape should be out real soon, as for my album I am still working on. But we have our sights on some places that have been in contact, so we'll see.

Do you have any Influences?
-I have so many. Some of my biggest include Biggie, RunDMC, Pac, Eminem...Wiz Khalifa has been a huge inspiration. Certain eras of Drake & Lil' Wayne but not really anything recently haha. Just keepin' it real. Linkin Park is a massive influence, as well as Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell...yeah, I don't only listen to hip-hop. Mega-composer Koji Kondo is a genius. Adele.

Do you have a good quote that you live by?
-Never Give Up. No matter what is going on in life, NO MATTER WHAT...there is NOTHING that will stop me from achieving whatever goal I have my sights on. No obstacle is too high to climb, burrow under or break through.

Any Last Thoughts?
- I appreciate your interest in an interview with me and I fully support H.A.N.D. Clothing. Even before the interview. And the majority of my last thoughts...pretty much go with what was said above. Never Give Up. I've done things in my life/career as of late that I never thought I would do/see..and I feel that I am only headed towards higher achievements. I thank everyone who has made it all possible and shared an interest in what it is I do. I'm blessed.

Here are a couple of his most recent songs and look forward to the drop of his next mixtape and album!!

Hope You enjoyed the post and the new photos!!! Share this post with your friends, I know Chazzy and I would really appreciate it!

Skrillex / Grammys / Song

2012-02-13T13:17:00.004-05:00

Skrillex walked away with three Grammys last night and had some very interesting things to say.

He also dropped a new song, click that download button, song is really quite good and its original vocals by Skrillex (Sonny Moore)

and Deadmau5 played a prank on him, which he tried to turn back on Deadmau5. In case you didn't know, that's Skrillex's number and they tweeted back and forth joking about it. Skrillex then tried to reroute the phone calls to deadmau5. Jokes for days.

“Haha @deadmau5 just wore my phone number on his fokin shirt on tv gotta retire this phone”-Skrillex

“Nice try with the call forwarding @skrillex ;) one step ahead of you! Ps. Congrats dude! Seriously, so rad!,” -Deadmau5

------------Skrillex is a Satanist Homosexual-------------
We all thought it was over until Christwire.org decided to come in hot! They are claiming that it is Skrillex's satanic lesbianoic tendencies that won him the grammys. Classic. According to them his name in latin means "Homosexual Satan Wasp." They also claim that Skrillex invented dubstep (Which in case you didn't know, he has never categorized himself as dubstep) and define dubstep as "a music genre founded on consuming massive amounts of drugs and having raucous pre-marital sex with numerous partners." This is so epic on so many levels I can't even handle it.

The article then claimes "Over 100% of homosexual gays listen to, or have listened to Skrillex in their life — mostly while participating in door-to-door recruitment for sex orgies or attempting to molest children in one of the patented “Rape Vans” used by the gay homo community." OVER 100%!!!! Wow, that's impressive. Not to mention the stunning conclusion of that statement.

Anyways, this article has really opened my eyes. I think it is important for everysingle person in the whole world gets a chance to read the whole thing -----> COMPLETE ARTICLE This link might not work so here is the complete url:

My Thoughts: 2 Chainz / Gucci

2012-02-03T15:09:00.000-05:00

This might come off as a rant I am about to rip into my two least favorite players in the game: Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz. Gucci is an idiot. What else can you say, Ice Cream Cone on his face that says "Brrr," he's a terrible rapper, and when you try to listen to him he makes no sense. Gucci brought Waka Flocka into the world, what a devastating day. Ill give it to Waka though, I do like a few of his songs "Hard In The Paint" and "Wild Boyz" by MGK. Wonder how Waka Flocka got his name? Gucci decided that "Waka Flocka Flame" is the noise a gun makes when it's shot... ok Gucci. Now 2 Chainz. Why The Hell is everyone on 2 Chainz dick. He's really quite bad. Lil Wayne tried to sign him to Young Money but decided to sign to Def Jam instead. Also, what kind of name is 2 Chainz? and used to be called Tity Boi? Are you serious? Anyway here is Cowboy by 2 Tit Chainz. Enjoy I guess, and if you like either of them rip me apart in the comments and tell me why.

Sadly it's rumored that 2 Chainz has been working with Kanye West. DON'T DO IT KANYE!
