This guy created a great tutorial on using Groove Agent One and Beat Designer for making beats in Cubase. This can help you a lot if you are a Cubase beginner.

[DEB040] Liberty Klaud - Noche Loca

Liberty Klaud at his best. Noche Locais a very funky tech-house track that is well layered and clearly mixed, great rhythmic and atmospheric synths. DJ GrujA broke the original beat and rearranged the sound balance. Fyono goes into completely different direction, slowing it down and making some big vocals.
Artists will be able to sell their music directly vie their page, so the label is not needed. Will this kill the labels as such in a long run. Also Google gives 70% share to artist, when that is compared to Beatport or iTunes, it is significantly more, because there is no label cut and distributor cut.

The question is: Will the artists that already have a fan base start selling their music their own?

I think that the labels will most likely offer the artists to run their artists pages, and get a piece of the action there too.

Its on the artist now to decide will he go his own way, or will it let the labels do their thing. The trouble is that if you transferred your rights to the label, they can sell it on Google Music as well.

We will have to wait and see how this will turn out.

[DEB039] Stanny Abram - Jobolenna

Jobolenna is a track that is filled with layers of bass that will literally blow you away, supported with some vocals and funky samples. Remix by DJ GrujA is changing gears in the long brake, and is also very powerful. Tropical Lipstick slows things down a bit, and goes into Stanny's well known retro funk style.

New version of Serato Itch is out. In version 2.0 there are a lot of improvements, visual and technical. It lets you set up the interface layout in a way that suits you best. Library is improved, so that now you can arrange all your music from inside Itch. One of the new features is night and day mode. Its designed to help you see the display better in various light conditions.

The sync engine is re-optimized, it is easier to use now. The SP 6 sample player is also improved, you have four sample players and each of them has six sample slots, so that ads up to twenty-four samples that you can use. You can also choose which options of the sample player you want to be displayed.

Great piece of mixing software.

DJ GrujA goes for an easy ride this time. "Sunday Blues" has a smooth bassline and builds up slowly by adding up layers of sound. "Mikrofonija" is more deep, with some tribal percs and a lot of ambient elements. Surely not your average tech-house release.
This artist from Japan did an amazing job of transferring emotions to sound. "Kisaragi" is a track with a great atmosphere and drive. A true masterpiece of sound. DJ GrujA did a remix, that is more classic techno oriented, but he kept the harmony of the original.
All tech house this time. "Last Sun" is a melodic track filled with emotions, takes you to the sunset on the sea coast. "Forever" is more driving, funky and energetic. Killer track for the climax of the set. Baunzz! did an amazing remix in their own unique style.
For now Google will let the users store their music collections on their servers, so that they can stream in on different places and different platforms. Google director of digital Jamie Rosenberg said that they are interested in eventually selling music, by cooperating with publishers.

We have seen that Google transformed every industry that they entered in, so we can only wait and see what will this do to the digital labels business. Will it be a serious blow to today's big sellers (iTunes, Amazon, Beatport)?

Nathan Fake Masterclass Tutorial Cubase Part

Two funky tracks by Fedja Knajdl. "Zulu" is all about percussions and bass melted together, with exiting synth. "Burned Up" goes more deep, and the vocal leads the way.

This video shows you how to use Fruity Loops Studio as a VST instrument in Cubase 5.
This can be useful cause FL is great for fast creation of beats, and you can still do the rest in cubase (mixing, adding different VST instruments, plug-ins...).

[DEB026] W.A.R.Z. - The Dark Track

W.A.R.Z. is bringing you his dark but groovy sound. His track is filled with great rhythmics and interesting vocal samples. DJ GrujA just changed relations between the existing sounds to get a bit more tribal mix.
Stanny Abram plays with the sounds of the orient.
The original mix is funky and percussive. Great remixes coming from: Blaz Perus, Daniel
Greenx and Peyya. Those guys did an fantastic job. Definitely a release that shouldn't be missed.
