My basic tag shape comes from using the Rounded Stitched Rectangles Dies. They come in a variety of sizes and I picked the medium size for my tag base. I then selected a size down from the medium rectangle and cut two from coordinating patterned paper.

Next came a hexagon center using the new Eyelet Hexagons Dies. These also come in a variety of sizes and have the sweetest eyelet trim around the edges. These die cuts were cut from white cardstock and adhered to the center of both tags.

I used the darling Stitched Bugs Dies, selecting the dragonfly and bee shapes. I ink blended each layer creating a soft, muted blend of colors. Ink blending is one of my favorite techniques and works wonderfully with these tiny bugs.

To finish I added stamped sentiments using the new Cute Bugs stamp set and coordinating dies as well as the Hello Friend stamps and coordinating dies. I added sequins, Crystal Stickles glitter and fun coordinating junk bows at the top of my tags to finish them off.

Happy crafting! Thanks for visiting!
The post Spring Tags first appeared on Pretty Pink Posh.

I started by ink blending a honeycomb background onto A2 white cardstock using the Honeycomb Stencil. Then I used the largest die from the Rounded Stitched Rectangles set to soften the edges and create a polished card base.

For the bee shaker, I die cut the bee base, bee frame, foam frame, and an acetate layer. I ink blended the bee frame with Black Soot Distress Oxide, then added color to the wings with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. For the base layer, I blended Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw onto the body and Tumbled Glass onto the wings. I finished the face with eyes and smiles die cut from black cardstock, plus soft rosy cheeks blended with Spun Sugar.

To keep the shaker detail focused on the bee’s body, I trimmed the wings from both the acetate and foam layers. I adhered the acetate behind the bee frame, added the foam layer, then filled the center with Bee Happy Shaker Beads and a few Sparkling Clear Confetti pieces before sealing everything together. For a soft and airy touch, I added vellum behind the wings.

Next, I stamped and die cut the bee hives and dotted motion lines from the Bee Additions Stamp Set. I colored the hives with the Copic markers, Y13, Y11, Y00, and adhered them along the edges of the card front for extra detail and balance.

I die cut the largest Eyelet Hexagon and adhered it to the center of the card front, then layered the bee shaker on top to create the focal point.

To finish the card, I added the “Sweet as Can Bee” sentiment from the Bee Additions set, then embellished with a few dotted motion lines for movement, sparkling clear crystals, and a turquoise border for a bright finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I think the shaped cards are fun with the shaker element and without it too! For these sweet & silly bug cards I even made silly eyes.

Hello, fellow crafters and card makers! Brenda here with a sweet card featuring several goodies from the May release!! I fell head-over-heals for the Stitched Dandelions Die Set and the Dandelion Background Stencil!

I began by stenciling the Dandelion Background Stencil onto an A2 panel of white cardstock using blending brushes with Mustard Seed and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Where the two colors overlap, it gives you the prettiest green!! I die-cut the panel with the largest die in the Rounded Stitched Rectangles Die Set, then adhered it to an A2 panel of pale yellow cardstock. I also die-cut another panel of white cardstock with the third largest die in the same Rounded Stitched Rectangles Die Set and blended Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron Distress Ink onto the center of the panel. It was then adhered to the background panel with liquid glue.

The blooms, stems and leaves from the Stitched Dandelions Die Set were cut from white, light yellow and green cardstock. I added shading and dimension onto the die-cuts with Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks using blending brushes. The die-cuts were arranged and adhered, using a combination of liquid glue and foam squares.

The supporting sentiment, from the Dandelions stamp set, was stamped onto the bottom, right area of the smaller rectangle panel with Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink. The “friend” sentiment is from the Hello Friend stamp set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink and cut out with the coordinating die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them behind the stamped one, then adhered it to the front of the card. Lots of Aqua Shimmer Confetti adds a ton of sparkle and shine to finish off the card.

Everything about this makes my heart happy…from the sweet blooms to the color combo!! Just the perfect way to let a friend know how special they are to you!

Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!
