Until now you might have seen only these things as wireless chargers as they don’t need wires to charge but you have to place your gadget onto it, so it will charge. But a this is not a Real Wireless charger !!!!!&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;RCA’s Airnergy is the real wireless charger , first of its kind it charges anything wirelessly. See the pictures below to believe.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxNh702K8nQM21AIqcfXdku6hYK1Na4e5XL8GN86BtKOblgc5KOpNJ93nJFUwXDN1FjH6zz6LQ0SBIDANeDfpyL_yBAgM_i9Ch1-75YmFsF8XSKPoNfpMwnuTnjSnQz4CjqMzyXZM2bwDL/s1600-h/clip_image002%5B5%5D%5B4%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image002[5]&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;484&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image002[5]&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivgzCXnH117y2MH04Q5tmSx7nqx43VJ8j2ytJ0M7E7bGoH6u9yPaVEj3JQzU5f9a75G3_WLn3tYbPoxKP0VD5pDHrmbYN28KBE8u98MaMtjb9mui2-Ii4cqEhnnGROATrMwW4IZCkAsIGC/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;567&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDTgWnIdzkRZXEXPoVRyzL078GXB9m8JJ3fD_1jSb-e4qSBC1vxOBUZ9lLLOA64sG59XTSHO06PTakpOUNLDaxKWynqs_c_0Y2NdvaHHD-AHQVUt10MysuzX2UI3mxJh2qU0RaBjozzNmk/s1600-h/clip_image004%5B5%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image004&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;439&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image004&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYRkhaHhbw3JJnimnk5NxOaxwq4c0HXrThj47hPF0mMtwte83MW5vZ5TzLp712UAoVfYv_AFZnkkh1fUM9MXNOFTuqTFnJzpIyxYENQ9N6pfi6xmJWD9xBFMbm8gI5J3JyuJsMO46y5Szg/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;585&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;RCA showcased the world’s very first realistic Wireless Charger.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;The device features neo-technological circuitry that converts WiFi energy into electricity using air as the medium! The Airnergy utilizes a mini-USB port for connecting to other devices. During a test at the CES, Airnergy successfully charged a Blackberry from 30% to full in about 90 minutes harnessing the power fromWiFi signals. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Unlike solar chargers, Airnergy Wireless charger can work 24×7 and even charge itself while you are asleep. It equips a WiFi hotspot power harvesting Battery Pack which keeps on charging itself till the time you remain in a WiFi environment. The number of WiFi hot-spots and the distance from the source can affect the performance of the charger.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;RCA Airnergy Wireless charger is based on the technology to harvest WiFi. Developments of partially successful Wirelessly Charging prototypes, which used the same technology, were also witnessed in the past. However, none can match the results shown by RCA’s Airnergy. This amazing device will hit the shelves of the local stores near you in summer this year at a rocking price of 40 USD.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Forget PowerMats and wireless charging and the like, because the Airnergy wi-fi signal harvester is my new front runner for the future of gadget charging.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;It&#39;s not exactly new tech, as ohGizmo notes, but it&#39;s the first application that&#39;s of any real use to consumers. Put simply, Airnergy takes the energy created by wi-fi signals and stores it in a rechargeable battery. At CES, the device&#39;s battery, which I believe was precharged with Wi-Fi power, was able to charge a BlackBerry from 30% power to full power in about 90 minutes.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Wait for more wireless charges which will definitely revolutionaries the future gadgets. &lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2010/03/wireless-charger.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjudAGe8B8truksNE9SyXbFbvM6S_yazdJNqh7w_6MZuKPz1aVaCBbSLIzEOxhYo5FP_1KBP3uNI7w3SJc-UPLccgylGFQqMMVhFRMyOgCHzKeIYONj41TpQ4pAe_aW17YQKI-2AD9gDn6r/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-7309167153556426264</guid><pubDate>Wed, 18 Nov 2009 17:33:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-11-18T09:33:57.303-08:00</atom:updated><title>How To Take Advantage Of Adobe Air</title><description>&lt;p&gt;The desexualize of delivering marketing applications through Plushy Net Applications has been proven to be a unconquered method of accelerando condition when effectively executed and implemented.&amp;#160; They perish companies to germinate themselves from the contention that stands out in the minds of gettable customers. Incumbent research and evolution is largely centralized on &amp;quot;hybrid&amp;quot; vehicles that use both galvanising cognition and inner oxidation. &lt;br /&gt;Added R&amp;amp;D efforts in choice forms of cognition cogitate on processing fuel cells, choice forms of burning such as GDI and HCCI, and plane the stored strength of shut air. The use of alcohol as a furnish for intramural oxidisation engines, either lone or in combining with added fuels, has been surrendered such attention mostly because of its possible environmental and long-term scotch advantages over fossil gas. Both ethanol and fuel eff been advised for this resoluteness. &lt;br /&gt;Spell both can be obtained from petroleum or physical gas, ethanol may be the most newsworthy because more anticipate it to be a renewable cleverness, easily obtained from dulcorate or polysaccharide in crops and different agricultural expose such as seed, cane or still lactose.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Since alcohol occurs in nature whenever barm happens to feel a edulcorate resolution such as overripe product, most organisms bonk evolved some disposition to alcohol, whereas methanol is venomous. &lt;br /&gt;Added experiments pertain alcohol, which can also be produced by fermentation of plants. Of pedagogy, this doesn&#39;t law out a phone with kindred specifications to the HD2, same the Dragon, twin DROID&#39;s drive toward Android 2.0 and new include that Windows Flying creation has been &amp;quot;a emotional andante&amp;quot; and that powerfulness is declining, and says HTC is &amp;quot;excavation merciless on these kinds of products to get arousal roughly Windows Changeful o.k..&amp;quot; He didn&#39;t hold posterior on Google, nonetheless, expression that whatever of its actions can be &amp;quot;wasteful&amp;quot; but that &amp;quot;we&#39;ve worked with Microsoft for 13 geezerhood ... I also conceive we can product with Google for a agelong&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The HTC HD2 is an upcoming Windows {phone with a article set that few of its competitors will be fit to change. This starts with a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen and 1 GHz processor.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;It&#39;s not out yet, but Jason River, the President of HTC Land, was variety enough to word me his for a few minutes.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Build &amp;amp; Organization&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I possess the creation HTC Modify HD, and its compeer is effort to be righteous like it, only writer so.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The content of the HD2 seems to feature been to create a smartphone with the biggest obturate realistic. The designers picked a 4.3-inch one, noticeably large than its predecessor&#39;s.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The good lineament of last period&#39;s theory was its generously-sized pass, and the new mold&#39;s faculty be regularize larger.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;A opinion gist of this, though, is that the HTC HD2 itself will be a fair big style, if somewhat slenderize: 4.7 inches by 2.6 inches by 0.4 inches, and 5.5 ounces (121 mm x 67 mm x 11 mm, 157 g). It&#39;s not big enough that you&#39;re leaving to think slaphappy retentive it up to your ear, and that discriminating occlude leave egest it all worthwhile.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Especially as this testament be the premiere Windows sound with a capacitive touchscreen. This write of presentation is widely victimised on devices same the iPhone, and is intentional for for fingertip criterion, kinda than tool curb -- the HD2 won&#39;t symmetrical amount with a tool.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;It present arise with a 3.5 mm headset squat, a GPS fiduciary, and a 5.0 MPx camera with twinkle, but I didn&#39;t get a measure to check these features out in my outline moment with this shape.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFE-G_HXAQULAhyphenhyphenv20ztyMsL3VJjfRG1Zd-dj48HxGB2cbzwtoDHV9qhtzFUbl529ZfKsYw-TCdZyKkTXqZWH4LcAXU_PnUi2h2w8lyJm_WqWdksgpV1twSSW_8ndDfuRbJYYsb-U2antW/s1600-h/clip_image002%5B5%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image002&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;500&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image002&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWEAaeBVHWxH6InCK7H2mlEz25tpbqRcCq-ipTT9A7MIj-j9tL2SDfFbvxUazoWl4FSICmAkX2EHQmKGlR5nIJ0Xv5icISfc1O-JEa4d_ToqNLbNDQHPVZWzZ9PnzcS_hvYg6l1egxSday/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;530&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Show&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The HTC HD2 gift run Windows Rangy 6.5 Pro on a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, one of the gear models to do so. This is welcomed broadcast to me, as I&#39;m somewhat disappointed that so more of the latest-generation Windows phones screw meet 528 MHz chips.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;m certainly not unsuccessful by my preliminary investigating. The pre-release organization I got to try out had spectacular execution. Microsoft&#39;s OS is coercive but not ever quick, and the 1 GHz processor faculty springiness it a discernible help.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Overlaying Microsoft&#39;s modular someone program gift be a HTC&#39;s trademarked someone programme. -- which utilised to be titled TouchFLO but is existence renamed HTC Significance. Equivalent the early versions, this offers a playoff of finger-friendly homepages with massive icons, apiece one sacred to a several utility, suchlike activity penalization, version e-mail, surfriding the Web, or watching video. The new variant will add both tabs, including one for Twitter.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Underneath all this eye-candy present comfort be Windows Transferrable. Patch this brings advantages -- including an awing comprise of software -- it is also one of my few concerns with the HD2. As I mentioned earlier, this smartphone won&#39;t have a tool, and it&#39;s capacitive demonstration means most styli won&#39;t justified business. A high many Windows Floating applications, on the other paw, were intentional to be used with a tool, and often let occlude elements too weeny to be broached on with a digit. So if somebody sends you a Word 2007 document and you use Word XP, an error message awaits you. Luckily, the fix is easy: Use the Office plugin named&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466&amp;amp;displaylang=en&quot;&gt;Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;MOCPWEP2007FF enables you to open/edit/save Office 2007 documents in Office 2000, 2003, or XP without any work on your part. Just make sure that your office has the latest Service Pack installed - either SP3 for Office 2000 and XP, or SP1 for Office 2003.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;If you don’t want to go all that difficulty and you just need to convert just a single .docx file, point your browser to &lt;a href=&quot;http://docx-converter.com/&quot;&gt;docx-converter.com&lt;/a&gt;. Upload your file, select your preferred format (.doc is just one choice), and enter your email address. In a moment, you should get a note containing a link to download the converted file. It’s a free service.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsYLlurCzF_yrzUgqGjB94QyBVkWhaGgH_-4qzaYnxyGRU18-jwg_FycSRg4BpvpytTJa8XhO7Mloo7u9NRYX4NdO4X1S-k5hyphenhyphendPP93_8orEMiddVYkZYEAsCDDd9JHXqSbVtGtPf5m2wB/s1600-h/image%5B10%5D.png&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;image&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;426&quot; alt=&quot;image&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinNEvH2gAxJYWf3FOf1rFpqeBHEPbHnesZM5nm5snzFpeZaraUZbC4-zeywAkNBd7WeeaVEsmTjcOeYHd6JlPAxZbONdJ-5jp6-OHeRo0L1EWMuZB5Gm4aYj1cqpIfXfcCcwiPc_3CgEcy/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;473&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-to-open-office-2007-documents-in.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinNEvH2gAxJYWf3FOf1rFpqeBHEPbHnesZM5nm5snzFpeZaraUZbC4-zeywAkNBd7WeeaVEsmTjcOeYHd6JlPAxZbONdJ-5jp6-OHeRo0L1EWMuZB5Gm4aYj1cqpIfXfcCcwiPc_3CgEcy/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-6333623798696104735</guid><pubDate>Mon, 14 Sep 2009 18:18:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-09-14T11:18:47.172-07:00</atom:updated><title>Motorola Dext - Android powered smartphone</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Its been a while since Motorola caught our attention but last week they’ve finally taken a step forward to unleash their new and first ever Android powered smartphone - the Motorola Dext .&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGx3CegnholQa57uMInGjKhRpw8aX6v_a5pCdu43jgxZ-wLnoKq_3oZX54CK_QqIqggTEJEjUINI7pNvagvfEshMorR3_d5JblDs3roDo7YzmRS_rqEaANKeOAvabRhU5uf18AFR9-6uxS/s1600-h/clip_image001%5B5%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image001&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;466&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image001&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcvLF9ZJSI1HvJ9hGzYoBwZjE0o9iHSGnv9Ahhw5k5qZFZvU9f-SDr1gZE9H-Qj_JP4mBDyrg55RdeShgFz2I_Uo708vn2pzYbitqgbc6rxjJ1I-Unnr26lGRXiclt884Z-XUCFLeksxee/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;515&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Due to arrive the UK next month via Orange, not only will the Dext be an Android powered sliding beast but also one with a touch of Motorola customisation. Known as MOTOBLUR (Motorola Blur), the platform aims to act as a social media aggregator syncing with Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Picasa and others onto a customizable homescreen that displays info users want from any of the services. Plus, this allows users to interact with their contacts through any of the networks seamlessly. Blur has other tricks too like remote wipe and phone tracking via the internet and of course because its still an Android phone you get all the entire standard Android on board like web browser, Gmail, Google Maps, etc.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2b2jyKp1Yl1812ZGUOZPt7mkLbgV0sySKs1c2JvWcswI96J9JZJdkfqqFT0jjnZT1LPawHc38BdheTqN5IX2PLZGAaOZuhgpLPw0nwKQJr8vfQd_UZtc7EtU3G71f7spsF_WY6MCPPUVI/s1600-h/clip_image003%5B8%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image003&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;463&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image003&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdse7SDY0zT6QXG9QAj7-QeTZiHhtXYygyBbKCy3qceTToQpN6phe5QOn7bZiMznqZt3zPqOkE6lm7I3iowA5vQVhP9z040RVj4MFNrtwf9QxMgQ4MRt3qJN1ikqcKROUkcG3M6oNXBdrk/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;583&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;As you can see Dext itself (aka MB-200) will be most welcomed by those who enjoy texting. Its got a QWERTY keypad, a 3.1 inch HVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 480 and connectivities such as EDGE, GPRS, WiFi, a five megapixel camera with autofocus, and a 3.5mm headphone socket. It will be available in both black and white next month, lets hope this will be the phone that sorts out Moto’s recent problems.&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/09/motorola-dext-android-powered.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcvLF9ZJSI1HvJ9hGzYoBwZjE0o9iHSGnv9Ahhw5k5qZFZvU9f-SDr1gZE9H-Qj_JP4mBDyrg55RdeShgFz2I_Uo708vn2pzYbitqgbc6rxjJ1I-Unnr26lGRXiclt884Z-XUCFLeksxee/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-6221233535450279626</guid><pubDate>Fri, 11 Sep 2009 03:31:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-09-10T20:31:31.613-07:00</atom:updated><title>iPod Nano with video camera - more exciting than ever!</title><description>&lt;p&gt;We definitely believe Apple is going somewhere with this new release of iPod Nano. The creation of this technology, and Sony to develop a blue violet semiconductor laser capable of providing the necessary density recording on optical disk. Blue violet laser used in light emitting DINARD equipment within the wavelength 400nm - 410nm. This allows the short wavelength of the data to be recorded and played in the high density. The main feature of the KD technology is its ability to store more data five times in the 12 cm optical disk system according to the red laser DVD.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;h4 align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;What is a Semiconductor Laser?&lt;/h4&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Apart from semiconductor lasers, including solid-state laser based on ruby, glass and other materials, gas lasers, the helium, neon, argon and other gases, and pigment-based liquid laser semiconductor laser is relatively simple structures in comparison to other types. The laser emits light when an electric current to the pn junction of a compound semiconductor. Sony Semiconductor lasers began in 1984, with metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) method for growing crystals. This advance paved the way for the subsequent adoption of music CDs and MDs. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Figure 1 shows the structure of a blue-violet semiconductor lasers. Semiconductors are used in species after the manner in which electrons are given. An N-type semiconductor or excess electrons possess an abundance of electrons, while the P-type semiconductors or hole has a surplus of electron-hole to accept. LED light in the intersection where these two materials together with the cathode, with the P-type anode and the N-type. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;A semiconductor laser must not only light but also to maintain a stable wavelength of light required for a particular purpose. This is achieved by sandwiching a MQW light-emitting layer between the P-and N-type semiconductor. In Sony&#39;s blue-violet laser, the cladding layer of P and N-type is made of aluminum gallium nitride (AlGaN). By optimizing the structure of the MQW light-emitting layer, Sony has been able to achieve excellent light emitting efficiency. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;A key challenge for the development of a working blue-violet laser has been durability. A semiconductor laser produces heat when light, and this can be the materials and the lifetime of the device. Former semiconductor lasers had sapphire substrates, but the poor heat transfer performance of this material is little scope for improvement in the semiconductor life. Sony radically redesigned semiconductor industry and the substrate used gallium, the excellent thermal conductivity, instead of sapphire. By improving the efficiency with which laser heat is used by the semiconductor industry, Sony was able to dramatically improve the life span.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdA16g4pCRwPtG8OOZcqDkCTOW2dVNdV-AABhawcCprE0J4BiDImozJHtw5lw8PkuCsTFtIs18IrbaXY3fmF4_SJ5aCz7PecypSgJeZOwh-j8gDnkIhLN977TqH6fS1ai8eZ-IEHLxQ_QP/s1600-h/clip_image001%5B5%5D.gif&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image001&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;360&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image001&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh46_dYYOPR_NJQMBJvNBlaUl9zjWOuzNEH4JmcH_bpWGzTVn3iNQ6f6QWPrg6un3ig2uz3-1aWWVazcNROn1na1gcwzehVXNtjuWyiMEYYtOFObEBWFhmoDQxDukyX0uR98OeFZAQH0Uwh/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;525&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;h4 align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Laser Wavelengths (Colors) and Storage Densities&lt;/h4&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Density data storage on optical disk are the length of waves and the output of the laser beam. By reducing the wave length of laser radiation, the beam can be to a smaller place, and that the density of information. &lt;br /&gt;The world&#39;s first semiconductor laser has a wave length of 840nm and vibrations generated infrared light. In 1975, Sony reach temperature continuous wave operation of algae with infrared laser wave length of 780nm. This device helped by the popularity of the music CD 650-700MB of data to 12 cm on a disk. In 1985, Sony has developed the first laser AlGalnP red, the room-temperature continuous wave operation at 650nm. If it is possible to make a film full time on a single DVD-12cm, with a capacity of 4.7 GB per layer. &lt;br /&gt;With very short waves of 405 nm, blue-violet semiconductor laser was developed to even higher density than the host of the DVD. Through the development of semiconductor-blue-violet, Sony has the BD format, the 25 GB of memory in a single-layer disc and 50 GB on a dual-layer disc. This is sufficient for about two hours of HD video in 1920x1080i resolution.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;h4 align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;The History of the Blue Laser&lt;/h4&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Initially the development of a blue or blue-violet laser was seen as an impossible task because of the difficulty of crystallizing the compound semiconductor needed to produce this light. Furthermore, a semiconductor capable of emitting blue or blue-violet light would need to be manufactured from elements at the high end of the periodic table. This was a major challenge. Elements at the high end of the periodic table are difficult to crystallize because of their strong bonding characteristics.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Sony&#39;s development efforts started with the raw materials. It began to explore the characteristics of the various elements, using a trial-and-error approach. In July 1993, it created the world&#39;s first ZnSe semiconductor laser capable of room-temperature continuous-wave operation, an achievement that was previously regarded as impossible. In February 1996, Sony succeeded in maintaining continuous oscillation of a ZnSe semiconductor for 100 hours. These successes brought the commercial development of a blue semiconductor laser within reach. Subsequently it was decided to use GaN, which produces a more stable blue-violet light. Sony had succeeded in developing a blue-violet semiconductor laser suitable for use in consumer electronic products, and in 2003 it launched the world&#39;s first BD recorder, the BDZ-S77. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7FoLK2o1YzGc1JKTKh4WPR6nWQgtxbtAuSoJyEI4tko3D5RKx34KVj4Tdz4eNRqu6upFGoOkfZ6y3I9ND7n_IYiDwljGINAFpcXYFZzLaMsIj5vZjLVz121_uGM80PKTCLUZcX0aIw3a-/s1600-h/clip_image002%5B5%5D.gif&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image002&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;300&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image002&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhteDr3hcrLUNn2TjVuV0rjw4VkxUz5BDPvIP2VDz64NqUazZaesZK92zbj2sCrzVG8tC0ETsqxeVcbmc-Eqh3YFbO3rieiJtI1ZlflFAZSw6tGnO7IOJXtY3TZeYoeGo7IRtkQ0WoTjDVZ/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;525&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Figure 2: Output Power-Current and Voltage-Current Properties of a 405nm AlGaInN Laser (a) and a 780nm AlGaAs Laser (b) During Room-temperature Continuous-wave Operation&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;There are differences in the voltage-current properties of a BD laser and CD-R laser. Because a BD laser has a shorter wavelength, the energy per photon is greater. This means that the drive voltage and power consumption are higher than for a CD-R laser.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;h4 align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Creating a Triple-Wavelength Laser&lt;/h4&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;By using a triple-wavelength laser, it is possible to simplify the optical pickup in the optical systems. The advantages include a reduction in the number of parts required, and in the number of assembly and manufacturing processes involved. However, the lasers used in CDs, DVDs, and BDs are all made from different materials, and the development of a simple three-in-one device was thought to be impossible.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;The impossible was made possible through technology used in PlayStation 2. Sony had already succeeded in developing a hybrid CD/DVD pickup for PlayStation 2 and was able to apply this technology to the creation of a triple-wavelength pickup. It did this by fabricating a substrate with a BD GaN laser chip and mounting a hybrid CD/DVD chip on top. The excellent thermal conductivity of the BD GaN substrate ensures efficient removal of heat generated by the hybrid CD/DVD chip.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;PLAYSTATION 3 was designed to accommodate three totally different optical disc standards—CD, DVD and BD—in a single unit. As a game console that also functions as a next-generation HD player, PLAYSTATION 3 has taken the market by storm.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgz5vJ3Eg0QGTLtCLKjkTPeV40ZjG1K1RjOeAX2exS5O4xN6v72Xav27xSaFgiYgO8s_vl6ZCNXO8e8LvElFs-ZZlxsuQSriUhsI1vzpbA4wSHUiO6X75ajzZ2P0aB9d48pJdJZtbRnMhye/s1600-h/clip_image003%5B5%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image003&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;230&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image003&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMBz74ucP9bBHLMwyD-HQpBgqOmBlc-w5WJYo5J2CqnX4BszfljwpR1B7EgfbhBRq5fZ6Ws7Z-vSc661xFx8hw3h1bS45poR-qZO_m1OKi3DSy4OYgONhBlS_o1zWgFG9e76BrzFz_4daJ/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;525&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Figure 3: The Structure of the Triple Wavelength Laser&lt;/p&gt; &lt;h4 align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;The Future of the Technology&lt;/h4&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;The evolution of optical discs as media for the storage of video has advanced from the CD to the DVD, and now from the DVD to the BD. The development of semiconductor lasers has been a major factor in this evolution.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;With the emergence of the blue-violet laser, the development of lasers with shorter wavelengths appears to have reached a plateau. A semiconductor laser with a wavelength shorter than the blue-violet laser would produce ultraviolet light, and in addition to the development of the semiconductor laser itself, it would also be necessary to develop optical components and recording media capable of withstanding exposure to ultraviolet light. Future development efforts are likely to focus on the development of blue-violet semiconductor lasers with improved output power, and on the creation of media with faster recording speeds and more layers&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/08/blue-violet-semiconductor-laser.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh46_dYYOPR_NJQMBJvNBlaUl9zjWOuzNEH4JmcH_bpWGzTVn3iNQ6f6QWPrg6un3ig2uz3-1aWWVazcNROn1na1gcwzehVXNtjuWyiMEYYtOFObEBWFhmoDQxDukyX0uR98OeFZAQH0Uwh/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-6629569855499035399</guid><pubDate>Sun, 02 Aug 2009 08:14:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-08-02T01:14:46.104-07:00</atom:updated><title>USB GPS travel logger-i-gotU portable</title><description>&lt;p&gt;As the persons who were most happy to have the opportunity to test the new USB GPS travel logger and Gotu. This sometimes miss or notification, as we noticed when we imported the data, &amp;quot;skip&amp;quot; travel, as we thought, was to travel on the same day, in contrast to only one thing. We had expected that largely happened, yes, this is one of the most common problems with which the GPS logging units like these. I-Web Gotu FAQ section also explains that this is not necessarily surprising. , So that it does not work in urban areas, where there are simply too many tall buildings, and thus not living up to his for you! At the end of a travel route, he had even pointed out, trips to places we have never been to (see below), it is likely that the result of intermittent receptions with satellites in areas with poor signal. I Gotu-screenshotDespite it when you do not live in a very busy city, or areas with many tall buildings and commercial want to travel when you land, I-Gotu the ideal gadget to carry out this work. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt; &lt;br /&gt;To short-circuit, then that is good and useful if the gadget can be any position while driving and closed, and out, but if this is not the case, or to be unreliable, it will not sell or May ruin your reputation, despite incredible , small size, light design. It seems more to be done to this gadget must be different from other similar gadgets out there!&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/08/usb-gps-travel-logger-i-gotu-portable.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6_DXht1I89z_DaQ6lltdhuGOTPV2pJWxgViBCb08Adfme5lHyMJQwH3u7rAsAmlst-IgMy17ztvDtfcfRuQ6xFXxIWlcKrrZVj6c8pJCVZruYCc_TsV7MkO_Hl77Wo6L2u1drC62pU5w6/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-6700046149321410544</guid><pubDate>Sun, 26 Jul 2009 19:31:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-08-02T00:48:40.815-07:00</atom:updated><title>Shutdown Computer remotely without any software</title><description>&lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Using this method, a user can shutdown, restart, hibernate, etc. his or her computer, just by sending an email from his or her phone&lt;strong&gt;(A Normal Mail from computer will also work)&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJB-V05UuaWfHe0i1B7ijXSd9kDShmbTAguENm10HioEQn5o6eKcN6s5rI4ny6vXtbTKpCYDJwQoCt_bMtoF_p5eVGAxa-M9RKm134cq9h8Ofdy90mT3HWq4jmOq1vRqP2F6tLtMcawYW4/s1600-h/image%5B5%5D.png&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;image&quot; style=&quot;border-top-width: 0px; display: block; border-left-width: 0px; float: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; border-right-width: 0px&quot; height=&quot;240&quot; alt=&quot;image&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJnJdqMYZc9kW7RXfSgUumZagtWFcfx_tjLzS8guwajpi0tV_L4IWnaipJ-5rjDUycskvj4f5di_A3zqn9oqZjerTt8b3cC6z03xLxqfrZI-m8sI1lFqWqy1IDY1NWUJQjyeOVmpCIyvaK/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;172&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;To do this, all you will need is &lt;strong&gt;Microsoft Outlook&lt;/strong&gt; which should come with Microsoft Office, which most people have. This will need to be on the computer wish you wish to shutdown. &lt;br /&gt;So, this is how you do this:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1)&lt;/strong&gt; First, you need the &lt;strong&gt;batch files&lt;/strong&gt; to perform the Shutdown, Hibernate etc. You can write them down yourselves &lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2)&lt;/strong&gt; open your note pad &lt;br /&gt;and write lik this... &lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;c:\windows\system32\shutdown -s -f -t 00&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;and save it as &lt;strong&gt;shutdown.bat &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3)&lt;/strong&gt; Open up Microsoft Outlook. Make sure that you have already configured it for your email. Now we will need to make it so that Outlook checks your inbox about every minute (1 minute for testing time can be increased if a delayed shutdown is desired). You can do this by going to Tools: Options. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;4)&lt;/strong&gt; Then click the Mail Setup tab, and afterwards, the Send/Receive button.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;5)&lt;/strong&gt; Make sure that the Schedule an automatic send/receive every... box is checked, and set the number of minutes to 1. This is because SEO helps in promoting the sites and at the same time requires some technical knowledge - at least familiarity with basic HTML. SEO is sometimes also called SEO copyright, as most of the techniques that are used to promote sites on search engines with text. Generally, SEO can be defined as the activity of optimizing Web pages or entire sites to make them more search engine friendly, achieving high positions in search results. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;One of the basic truths in SEO is that even if all the things that are needed to do, this will not automatically ensure top ratings but if you neglect basic rules, this will certainly not go unnoticed. Also, if you set realistic goals - ie to enter the top 30 Google results for a particular keyword, rather than being number one in 5 words, 10 search engines, you will feel happier and more satisfied with their results. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Although SEO helps to increase traffic to your website, SEO is not advertising. Of course, can be included in search results payment for certain words, but basically the idea behind the techniques of SEO is to get the top position because their site is relevant to a search term, not because you pay. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;SEO can be a work of 30 minutes or an ongoing activity. Sometimes it is enough to make some generic SEO in order to get high on search engines - for instance if you are a leader of rare words, then you do not have much to do to get decent placement. But in most cases, if you really want to be on top, it is necessary to pay special attention to SEO and devote significant amounts of time and effort to it. Even if you plan to do some SEO, it is essential that you understand how search engines work and which issues are most important in SEO. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1. How search engines work &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The first basic truth you need to learn about SEO is that search engines are not human beings. While this may be obvious to the whole world, the differences between human beings and how search engines view web pages are not. Unlike humans, search engines are text-driven. Although technology advances rapidly, search engines are far from intelligent creatures that can feel the beauty of a fresh design or enjoy the sounds and movement in movies. Instead, search engines crawl the Web looking for particular site, articles (mostly text) to get an idea of what is a site. This brief explanation is not the most accurate, because as we shall see below, the search engines perform several activities in order to deliver search results - crawling, indexing, processing, calculating relevancy, and recovery. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;First, search engines crawl the Web to see what is there. This task is performed by e piece of software called a crawler or spider (or Googlebot, as is the case with Google). Spiders of the links from page to page and index everything they find in their path. Taking into account the number of web pages (more than 20 million euros), it is impossible for a spider to visit a site daily just to see if a new page has appeared or if an existing page is modified. Sometimes crawlers do not visit your site for a month or two, so during this time your SEO efforts will not be rewarded. But there is nothing I can do about it, so just keep quiet. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;What you can do is to check what a crawler finds your site. As already mentioned, crawlers are not humans and do not see images, Flash movies, JavaScript, images, password-protected pages and directories, so if you have tons of these on your site, &lt;strong&gt;you&#39;d better run the simulator below &lt;/strong&gt;the spider to see if these things can be seen by the spider. If you are not visible, are not spidered, not indexed, not processed, etc. - in a word that is absent for search engines.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div id=&quot;srch&quot;&gt; &lt;form action=&quot;http://www.google.com/cse&quot; id=&quot;cse-search-box&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt; &lt;div&gt; &lt;input type=&quot;hidden&quot; name=&quot;cx&quot; value=&quot;partner-pub-9422630513060231:j8lqo0dkfdl&quot; /&gt; &lt;input type=&quot;hidden&quot; name=&quot;ie&quot; value=&quot;ISO-8859-1&quot; /&gt; &lt;input type=&quot;text&quot; name=&quot;q&quot; size=&quot;60&quot; /&gt; &lt;input type=&quot;submit&quot; name=&quot;sa&quot; value=&quot;Search&quot; /&gt; &lt;/div&gt; &lt;/form&gt; &lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot; src=&quot;http://www.google.com/coop/cse/brand?form=cse-search-box&amp;amp;lang=en&quot;&gt;&lt;/script&gt; &lt;/div&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;After the robot is the next step is to index its contents. Indexed pages in a giant database that can later be retrieved. In essence, the indexing is to make words and phrases that best describe the page and assign keywords to specific pages. The man can not with such a large amount of information, but in general search engines with this task well. Sometimes not at the site, but if they are in the optimization, it is easier for them to sort your site correctly and for you - for later. &lt;br /&gt;When a request comes in search, search engine processes - and that means that in comparison with the keyword in the search request of the indexed pages in the database. Given the fact that it is probable that more than one page (actually, it is millions of pages) contains the text search engine starts calculating the relevance of the various parties in the index on the search string. &lt;br /&gt;There are several algorithms for the calculation of relevance. Each of these algorithms differ in the relative weights for common factors, such as the density of keywords, links or metatags. This is the reason why several different search engines search for land for the same search string. And what is more, it is a known fact that all the major search engines such as Yahoo!, Google, MSN, their algorithms regularly, and if you want on top, it is also necessary to adapt their sites to the most recent changes. This is one reason (the other is your competitor), a sustained effort on SEO to be at the top. &lt;br /&gt;The last step in the search engines &amp;quot;is retrieving your results. In essence, this is nothing more than just show it in the browser - ie the endless pages of search results, which most of the space for the least relevant sites. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2. The differences between the major search engines &lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Although the basic principle of operation of all search engines are the same, minor differences between them to a fundamental change in the significance of the results. For different search engines different factors are important. There were times when SEO experts joke that algorithms Yahoo! be made aware of exactly the opposite of Google. Although this is perhaps a grain of truth, that is a fact that the big search engines like different things, and if you plan to order more than one of them, such as the need to optimize carefully. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt; &lt;br /&gt;There are many examples of the differences between the search engines. For example, Yahoo! and MSN, on-site word factors are very important, while for Google links are very important. Also for the Google sites are like wine - the elderly, the better, while Yahoo! not usually the preference scheme on websites and domains with tradition (ie older). In this way, you need more time to secure your website is ready for introduction at the top in Google than Yahoo!&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/07/what-is-seo.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-6264061421987860884</guid><pubDate>Sun, 12 Jul 2009 18:08:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-07-12T11:08:33.479-07:00</atom:updated><title>Google Chrome OS nuke - Microsoft Windows killer?</title><description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Google has announced Chrome OS, an operating system that will give netbooks and full-size desktops alike with its well-known speediness. The OS will be compatible with x86, meaning Intel Atom and ARM Chips will be compatible.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLm58IRGwNSOIealCPEyS0Kjq8bJn0tMuJ-jdxLvwtoXdq9QGx2-vgG6BUe_Jn_eSFSlidaz4vmZ-eHXgyB1Jq_H-vSkDrfqsf1fyczsIzCH86AvRRKnghzIX2FG2gJL6UJAwDi8lFs57v/s1600-h/clip_image001%5B5%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image001&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;167&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image001&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitQFbxcXDZrZTcwvAsaMLfOn3zlc-QJv8verGZJCEfbzxXD4IzNr7vscpqX_tvQ-52HQtH3CO6YlZGs_tQFiCsZJ4U8rFDRIMkJMqjRhTJFkRD8p38D_pkT5IOQ9wJkdiaQdXQjt28aoAE/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;450&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;With its main intention for use on netbooks and low cost portable PCs. The move is likely to sharpen the already intense competition between Google and Microsoft, whose Windows operating system controls the basic functions of the vast majority of personal&lt;u&gt; &lt;/u&gt;computers.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;While Google Chrome OS is aimed initially at netbooks, Google said it believed the software would be able to power full-fledged PCs. This adds a slight confusion to us as Google has already developed the Android open-source operating system that is used in some mobile&lt;u&gt; &lt;/u&gt;phones and also netbooks by several manufacturers.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Multiple OEM manufacturers have already jumped onboard it seems, and are prepping a netbook Chrome OS marriage sometime in the second half of 2010. As our friends at ElectricPig have mentioned, Google has had enough of browser wars, they’re now attacking from the core - Windows OS is Microsoft’s home turf.&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/07/google-chrome-os-nuke-microsoft-windows.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitQFbxcXDZrZTcwvAsaMLfOn3zlc-QJv8verGZJCEfbzxXD4IzNr7vscpqX_tvQ-52HQtH3CO6YlZGs_tQFiCsZJ4U8rFDRIMkJMqjRhTJFkRD8p38D_pkT5IOQ9wJkdiaQdXQjt28aoAE/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-1475850958412343064</guid><pubDate>Mon, 06 Jul 2009 02:34:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-07-05T19:34:31.983-07:00</atom:updated><title>What is Android?</title><description>&lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;On Monday, November 12, 2007,Google released Android, a complete Linux based software stack aimeddirectly at the cell phone marketplace&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. Each section is described in more detail below.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDoraza3UZPYzkk4Hs2wzNkgJY-1Qmxm0YjGkAp-6b1QmnT6pJMj0zg2f59ldsXoM6N6Pettmt0WKMh_yNji-e2rjBve0b_Lj9jlLO1ADqve7gW1Zmue_BuVFv7v-Kgbbou7XXiVM0gERy/s1600-h/clip_image001%5B5%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image001&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;532&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image001&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNxyfodwDq_GmndF5YxXgSHQJMcBTDEtf1rIwb6nUvrIQ-pjl5y-z_B9CwS2dcKx4OM9Dddgd8ijga6RNgcWd17G6AVq5JooCgtLBA-IVL_mYCU1WvOezX_-GTHZ2G_Pwqrn6ggHqFX13k/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;733&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a name=&quot;applications&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;b&gt;Applications&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Android will ship with a set of core applications including an email client, SMS program, calendar, maps, browser, contacts, and others. All applications are written using the Java programming language.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a name=&quot;application_framework&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;b&gt;Application Framework&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Developers have full access to the same framework APIs used by the core applications. The application architecture is designed to simplify the reuse of components; any application can publish its capabilities and any other application may then make use of those capabilities (subject to security constraints enforced by the framework). This same mechanism allows components to be replaced by the user.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Underlying all applications is a set of services and systems, including: &lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;A rich and extensible set of &lt;a href=&quot;http://developer.android.com/guide/tutorials/views/index.html&quot;&gt;Views&lt;/a&gt; that can be used to build an application, including lists, grids, text boxes, buttons, and even an embeddable web browser&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/providers/content-providers.html&quot;&gt;Content Providers&lt;/a&gt; that enable applications to access data from other applications (such as Contacts), or to share their own data&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;A &lt;a href=&quot;http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/resources-i18n.html&quot;&gt;Resource Manager&lt;/a&gt;, providing access to non-code resources such as localized strings, graphics, and layout files&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;A &lt;a href=&quot;http://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/NotificationManager.html&quot;&gt;Notification Manager&lt;/a&gt; that enables all applications to display custom alerts in the status bar&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;An &lt;a href=&quot;http://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/Activity.html&quot;&gt;Activity Manager&lt;/a&gt; that manages the lifecycle of applications and provides a common navigation backstack&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;For more details and a walkthrough of an application, see the &lt;a href=&quot;http://developer.android.com/guide/tutorials/notepad/index.html&quot;&gt;Notepad Tutorial&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMv2IVTLWTeCQJQvFMqb_Uq4R7KucGu10zSe1j3SllJIZR6e6q-jvB_QHkYXp_-C0vDmqcRialLGHumxl7xEJXuFjiqtFT0Y03vdK_lBmd2W8CMOSUbq0sbhKqWHzTcasrKcJlphMuzZIk/s1600-h/image%5B8%5D.png&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;image&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;634&quot; alt=&quot;image&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisOApU5gUSVEylwRevZroiOso6eefxT0LajbzCziDREwsSoIMZT8-yA5m_1pKLW4iPGHRfiKRHDy275mnIGSGZRePkBmmghk8R1ZDXmphkd6d7HFx5SK-bnSw_OoFryv8XRtOzfEtDcvgi/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;530&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a name=&quot;libraries&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;b&gt;Libraries&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Android includes a set of C/C++ libraries used by various components of the Android system. These capabilities are exposed to developers through the Android application framework. Some of the core libraries are listed below:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;System C library&lt;/b&gt; - a BSD-derived implementation of the standard C system library (libc), tuned for embedded Linux-based devices&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;Media Libraries&lt;/b&gt; - based on PacketVideo&#39;s OpenCORE; the libraries support playback and recording of many popular audio and video formats, as well as static image files, including MPEG4, H.264, MP3, AAC, AMR, JPG, and PNG&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;Surface Manager&lt;/b&gt; - manages access to the display subsystem and seamlessly composites 2D and 3D graphic layers from multiple applications&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;LibWebCore&lt;/b&gt; - a modern web browser engine which powers both the Android browser and an embeddable web view&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;SGL&lt;/b&gt; - the underlying 2D graphics engine&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;3D libraries&lt;/b&gt; - an implementation based on OpenGL ES 1.0 APIs; the libraries use either hardware 3D acceleration (where available) or the included, highly optimized 3D software rasterizer&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;FreeType&lt;/b&gt; - bitmap and vector font rendering&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt; &lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;b&gt;SQLite&lt;/b&gt; - a powerful and lightweight relational database engine available to all applications&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a name=&quot;runtime&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;b&gt;Android Runtime&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Android includes a set of core libraries that provides most of the functionality available in the core libraries of the Java programming language.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Every Android application runs in its own process, with its own instance of the Dalvik virtual machine. Dalvik has been written so that a device can run multiple VMs efficiently. The Dalvik VM executes files in the Dalvik Executable (.dex) format which is optimized for minimal memory footprint. Using a wheelchair controlled by brain waves measured using EEG, it’s basically a system that will control the ride using brain waves analysed every 125 milliseconds; therefore the name “mind controlled wheelchair”.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP1kTrvwQB246WH7-a0A2-lpT2Y-37YiQaX6eYYt8Zvmz5wrznMffDCvgscWDvT_BYdYVR6aQhfIZXd5g4wNQULwBK7rgoOcloKAw6uwMQ5-Hby1V68YPKtKICGtoiq6bxqU62m1GDw3o3/s1600-h/clip_image001%5B4%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image001&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;349&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image001&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLTJ8iSPiH7wVhhnOgO8-yguu2Gu_m_xv5vVb4YLr4iKu9QQfL_VlEpr34fa2nHi5939bKtnUby__XtdVdSrctIe8K0e4s0eLqNkeu4c7WQOGaXGOaXu5qf8Na8GU-ivCxvSI3I5TMYsuh/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;469&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;As you will see in the video to follow, testers using the wheelchair and the EEG cap system have achieved accuracy of up to 95% which is not a bad figure considering a high tech wheelchair like this may be used in place of current manual&lt;u&gt; &lt;/u&gt;wheelchairs for patients who have had strokes or other significant mobility impairments.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt; &lt;div class=&quot;wlWriterEditableSmartContent&quot; id=&quot;scid:5737277B-5D6D-4f48-ABFC-DD9C333F4C5D:e59a022b-0f23-402e-bd8f-17ca028b4ea2&quot; style=&quot;padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; float: none; padding-bottom: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-top: 0px&quot;&gt;&lt;div id=&quot;c93ca493-983b-4f01-a2d1-95dff181ff39&quot; style=&quot;margin: 0px; padding: 0px; display: inline;&quot;&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VPY1d2t_FE&amp;amp;hl=en&amp;amp;fs=1&amp;amp;&quot; target=&quot;_new&quot;&gt;&lt;img src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFgSPLMVoIPJqHFIjy1hnFLcJT3Tq6yiKT1RL_gNs9D8eyzO3WqrnfekEC7K8D4GhSGUMgXrU9wiHzRBrxzPWOH6qt5tmgrir7z2dMzCRzR_jJY4Aux6WwVpr4ohMSco6Uk604EvjRuJEO/?imgmax=800&quot; style=&quot;border-style: none&quot; galleryimg=&quot;no&quot; onload=&quot;var downlevelDiv = document.getElementById(&#39;c93ca493-983b-4f01-a2d1-95dff181ff39&#39;); downlevelDiv.innerHTML = &amp;quot;&amp;lt;div&amp;gt;&amp;lt;object width=\&amp;quot;425\&amp;quot; height=\&amp;quot;355\&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;param name=\&amp;quot;movie\&amp;quot; value=\&amp;quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/1VPY1d2t_FE&amp;amp;hl=en&amp;amp;fs=1&amp;amp;&amp;amp;hl=en\&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/param&amp;gt;&amp;lt;embed src=\&amp;quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/1VPY1d2t_FE&amp;amp;hl=en&amp;amp;fs=1&amp;amp;&amp;amp;hl=en\&amp;quot; type=\&amp;quot;application/x-shockwave-flash\&amp;quot; width=\&amp;quot;425\&amp;quot; height=\&amp;quot;355\&amp;quot;&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/embed&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/object&amp;gt;&amp;lt;\/div&amp;gt;&amp;quot;;&quot; alt=&quot;&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Here’s the official news release from Toyota…&lt;/p&gt; &lt;blockquote&gt; &lt;p&gt;Real-time control of wheelchairs with brain waves &lt;br /&gt;—A new signal processing technology for brain machine interface (BMI) application—&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Major advantages of the new technology&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;Commands for smooth left and right turns and forward motion of the wheelchair are processed every 125 milliseconds by analyzing brain waves using signal processing technology.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Brain-wave analysis data are displayed on a screen in real time, giving neuro-feedback to the driver for efficient operation.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;This technology is expected to be useful in the field of rehabilitation, and for physical and psychological support of wheelchair drivers.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;p&gt;The BSI-TOYOTA Collaboration Center (BTCC; Hidenori Kimura, Director), has succeeded in developing a system which utilizes one of the fastest technologies in the world, controlling a wheelchair using brain waves in as little as 125 milliseconds (one millisecond, or ms, is equal to 1/1000 seconds).&amp;#160; BTCC was established in 2007 by RIKEN, an independent administrative institution (Ryoji Noyori, President), as a collaborative project with Toyota Motor Corporation (Akio Toyoda, President), Toyota Central R&amp;amp;D Labs, Inc. (Takashi Saito, President), and Genesis Research Institute, Inc. (Kiyoshi Nakanishi, Representative Director of Research).&amp;#160; Also collaborating in the research were Andrzej Cichocki, Unit Leader, and Kyuwan Choi, Research Scientist, of BTCC’s Noninvasive BMI Unit.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Recently technological developments in the area of brain machine interface (BMI) have received much attention.&amp;#160; Such systems allow elderly or handicapped people to interact with the world through signals from their brains, without having to give voice commands.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;BTCC’s new system fuses RIKEN’s blind signal separation&lt;sup&gt;1&lt;/sup&gt; and space-time-frequency filtering&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; technology to allow brain-wave analysis in as little as 125 ms, as compared to several seconds required by conventional methods.&amp;#160; Brain-wave analysis results are displayed on a panel so quickly that drivers do not sense any delay.&amp;#160; The system has the capacity to adjust itself to the characteristics of each individual driver, and thereby is able to improve the efficiency with which it senses the driver’s commands.&amp;#160; Thus the driver is able to get the system to learn his/her commands (forward/right/left) quickly and efficiently.&amp;#160; The new system has succeeded in having drivers correctly give commands to their wheelchairs.&amp;#160; An accuracy rate of 95% was achieved, one of the highest in the world.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Plans are underway to utilize this technology in a wide range of applications centered on medicine and nursing care management.&amp;#160; R&amp;amp;D under consideration includes increasing the number of commands given and developing more efficient dry electrodes.&amp;#160; So far the research has centered on brain waves related to imaginary hand and foot control.&amp;#160; However, through further measurement and analysis it is anticipated that this system may be applied to other types of brain waves generated by various mental states and emotions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/07/latest-technology-toyota-develops-mind.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLTJ8iSPiH7wVhhnOgO8-yguu2Gu_m_xv5vVb4YLr4iKu9QQfL_VlEpr34fa2nHi5939bKtnUby__XtdVdSrctIe8K0e4s0eLqNkeu4c7WQOGaXGOaXu5qf8Na8GU-ivCxvSI3I5TMYsuh/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-4969939827633672485</guid><pubDate>Thu, 02 Jul 2009 05:18:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-07-01T22:18:07.799-07:00</atom:updated><title>iPhone 3.0 secrets: 7 Hidden features</title><description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;u&gt;iPhone 3.0&lt;/u&gt; has settled in quite well in my view and I am sure many have been more than pleased to see Apple finally give the iPhone features such as copy and paste, MMS, landscape mode typing, Spotlight search, push notifications and &lt;u&gt;many more&lt;/u&gt;. But did you know that actually there are some “hidden” functions that weren’t announced?&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx8hXPznr2J7abkubbkrsvlicwiLuEeNJ0zwrb-6OxKQj6M7sV-6RNU4jKw3ZbSzJH3jROUuM1f-eRatHnNNQ6O0CpQUl-0NNXw0tCPpd1djTVXMlowcavoIAzUSFtjYPpRX0n8M-YYayZ/s1600-h/clip_image001%5B5%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image001&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;428&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image001&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP5al6tXohTu5zLFxlo_lArwWDJjhf_w4dBTiE-vb8ljUv_eiMiS05KmtV_Yih-0FDuN-bPBDnigMt2Lz3dNwmhHwEub5H4lAjhQfBXAUGggLqDRQIIMfsGYodjrGRy9FpR1WsrvjiPBlT/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;550&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;You may have figured out some of them yourself already but there are actually quite a few of them. I wouldn’t like to call this a secret but rather just tips and tricks to using the new iPhone OS 3.0. Check out the full list after the break…&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;1. You can now have 11 home screens instead of the previous limit of 9 home screens. So you can now launch 32 more iPhone apps from your iPhone’s home screen.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;2. Thanks to Spotlight for iPhone, there is no limit on the number of &lt;u&gt;iPhone apps&lt;/u&gt; that can be installed on the iPhone running iPhone OS 3.0 assumming that you have the required &lt;u&gt;storage space&lt;/u&gt; on your iPhone. If you install more applications then the &lt;u&gt;home screen&lt;/u&gt; icon limit, you can now access them using Spotlight.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;3. This hidden feature addresses one of the minor annoyance in previous iPhone OS. When a phone call interrupts you, after the phone call you are taken back to the iPhone app you were using before you were interrupted.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;4. iPhone’s &lt;u&gt;virtual keyboard&lt;/u&gt; has also been updated with few more extra special characters while holding certain characters down similar to the “.com” button. In iPhone OS 3.0, when you hold down the “.” you also get “…”. The dash “-” also displays an em-dash “-” and quotations and apostrophes display “&amp;lt;&amp;lt;” and “&amp;gt;&amp;gt;” and can also be curved.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;5. Along with Spotlight, Apple has also added Camera app to the Home button settings (Settings &amp;gt; General &amp;gt; Home Button) in iPhone fimrware 3.0 so if the Camera application is your favorite iPhone; you can quickly launch it from your iPhone’s home screen or any other iPhone app by double-clicking on the Home button.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;6. You now have another option to force quit an unresponsive iPhone app. You can hold the sleep/wake button until the red slider appears, then press and hold down the home button to quit the iPhone app.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;7. You can undo typing by shaking the iPhone. When you are in the Mail, Messaging, Safari or Notes applications, after you typed a word/several words, just shake the phone and a pop-up will appear, asking you whether you want to undo what you have just entered.&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/07/iphone-30-secrets-7-hidden-features.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP5al6tXohTu5zLFxlo_lArwWDJjhf_w4dBTiE-vb8ljUv_eiMiS05KmtV_Yih-0FDuN-bPBDnigMt2Lz3dNwmhHwEub5H4lAjhQfBXAUGggLqDRQIIMfsGYodjrGRy9FpR1WsrvjiPBlT/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2248990489847642846.post-5695447202223487964</guid><pubDate>Thu, 02 Jul 2009 05:15:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-07-01T22:15:31.011-07:00</atom:updated><title>Firefox 3.5: Pasts one million downloads, almost 100 per second!</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Firefox 3.5 is shaping up to be one of the most successful Firefox releases to date. Its been reported that the fastest Firefox yet has already been download more than &lt;u&gt;one million&lt;/u&gt; times (within a matter of hours and counting!) with downloads almost hitting 100 per second, that’s quite something.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.gadgetlite.com/2009/07/01/firefox-35-pasts-million-downloads/firefox-35-fastest-firefox-browser/&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image002&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;275&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image002&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjikLagByOluFTeQFD7VvWW87igcT_7TKM72GnOKydq4azTRepR6QeKlyuGZCBcquqlKWODU-Xdr3esJyrYmSjT_NjQX_iBSHny2b3SU3q-XMOZ_2PUev5cphaFlc-yEjhLlrj9RbM-_K7_/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;454&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;How have you found the new Firefox 3.5? If you haven’t seen the latest features of the new Firefox 3.5 yet, check it out here. We also recommend you check out Mashable’s Top 5 Killer Features in Firefox 3.5.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;So how does 1.3 million downloads in a few hours stack up against its rivals? Well, the most recent browser to offer a major upgrade was Safari, which claimed 11 million downloads in 3 days. But those numbers are tricky because Apple includes Safari updates in its regular OS X software updates, so pretty much all OS X users were at least asked to upgrade after its launch. Still, Apple claimed that of the 11 million, some 6 million were users on Windows machines. – They could increase the complexity level, but players will be able to simulate the magical aspects by controlling some of the expressions, learning how to manipulate de objects with their brains. &lt;br /&gt;Another key feature is the gyroscope which is integrated into the Emotiv EPOC headset and based on your head reactions it can give you camera and cursor control. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.techpin.com/wp-content/worlds-first-brain-controlled-gaming-headset-is-available-emotiv-epoc.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image003[4]&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;303&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image003[4]&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijrHcfGV_1fwEfSOzbCVeQn9P8wbZ5XsZwnA2IBq_rZ3RFscKAreptIUCb7VayEYYb51w0UUkEsAz5mlb1uPT0d2E8cb2f0fbnpmH5W-Qf_QufinI18c2zIM9pl4AOWlxkx6taBAfaeY2v/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;315&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&amp;quot; The use of BCI technology represents a potential breakthrough in human-machine interfaces, changing the realm of possibilities not only for games, but in the way that humans and computers interact,&amp;quot; declared Paul Ledak, vice president, IBM Digital Convergence. &amp;quot; As interactions in virtual environments become more complex, mice and keyboards alone may soon be inadequate. These specs will be perfect for those looking to get more involved with HD video recording but have so far been annoyed by the lack of speed when it comes to transferring large video files.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;SANDISK UNVEILS WORLD’S FASTEST 32GB SDHC CARD&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;30MB/s Read &amp;amp; Write Speeds and 32GB Storage Capacity Help &lt;br /&gt;Photography and Video Enthusiasts Do More With Their DSLRs&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;32GB CardPMA, Sydney, June 25, 2009 –SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK), the global leader in flash memory cards, today introduced the fastest 32-gigabyte (GB)1 SDHC™ card on the market. The 32GB SanDisk Extreme® SDHC™ card at up to 30 megabytes per second (MB/s)2 read and write speeds combines industry-leading performance with massive storage capacity, helping digital photography enthusiasts utilize the advanced features of today’s DSLR cameras.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;“The market for entry to mid-level DSLR cameras is growing, and SDHC is becoming the de-facto card format for these devices,” said Susan Park, director, retail product marketing, SanDisk. “Our card’s 32GB of storage and up to 30MB/s read &amp;amp; write speeds enable DSLR users to shoot without worrying about storage or speed limitations. SanDisk Extreme SDHC cards provide consumers with a more enjoyable user experience, letting them focus on what is really important – the images that they are capturing.”&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Lightning-Fast Write Speed Captures Images Quickly &lt;br /&gt;A memory card’s write speed plays a crucial role in the overall system of the camera when taking pictures in rapid succession. If a card cannot process data quickly enough then the burst mode shooting may pause unexpectedly as the card catches up to the camera. Burst mode bottlenecks can lead to missing “the” shot, especially at sporting or other fast-motion events. The SanDisk Extreme SDHC card offers maximum data-transfer rates, giving consumers a memory card fast enough to unlock the full capabilities of their DSLRs.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;The 32GB SanDisk Extreme SDHC card adheres to the SD Association’s new Class 10 specification, which exceeds requirement for today’s high definition (AVCHD) video recording. The card offers a sustained write speed fast enough to ensure high-definition video recording and capacity capable of storing 160 minutes of full HD 1920×1080 pixels at 24Mb/s data transfer rate.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;image&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;284&quot; alt=&quot;image&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS3QwpfCdoDPCNPYJ0YqCq04l_HlVtShPLwFAGzYlQpZgAz8BNp1wf58g9ca34uf4D6Zbm3F31c37iUzHGShln_MvAGDnmpL3W5oxmaY_qRygB2213kBkBaJfxYShAwUbdQL88ZUaRFGpF/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;504&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Big Files Require Big Storage&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Recently-released DSLR camera models like the Nikon D90 and D5000 offer consumers the ability to record HD videos, producing large files that can fill lesser-capacity cards quickly. Today’s high-megapixel DSLRs also can generate massive still images like those produced in the RAW format used by professional photographers who want to take advantage of the enhanced picture quality and flexibility that RAW allows during post production.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;RAW images demand up to ten times as much storage space as regular JPEG images, and when taken in rapid succession during burst mode can quickly fill smaller storage cards. The 32GB SanDisk Extreme SDHC card can store up to 2500 RAW3 images, providing photographers with piece of mind and confidence that they will not run out of space for their images.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Renowned for their world-class durability, SanDisk Extreme SDHC cards guarantee operation at extended temperatures ranging from minus 13 F (minus 25 C) to 185 F (85 C). SanDisk Extreme SDHC cards are fully compatible with any camera, card reader or other device that supports SDHC cards.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;When placed in SanDisk’s new ImageMate® Multi-Card USB 2.0 reader/writer, the SanDisk Extreme SDHC card transfers images and video to a computer at rates of up to 30MB/s. The card’s fast data transfer rates enable photographers operating under tight deadlines to maximize critical workflow and enter post production as quickly as possible.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Class 10 Performance Sets a New Standard&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;An SD™ card’s speed Class is based on its minimum data-transfer rate, and is used to ensure high-quality video recording standards. The SD Association added Class 10 as part of the SD 3.0 specification released earlier this year. The SanDisk Extreme SDHC card’s performance exceeds the requirements of even the highest-quality AVCHD video recording device, and is currently the fastest Class 10 card in the world.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Availability:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;The SanDisk Extreme SDHC 32GB cards will be shipping worldwide to major retailers in August. Also in August, the current 4, 8 and 16GB capacity SanDisk Extreme SDHC cards will be upgraded from Class 6 to Class 104.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;About SanDisk:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;SanDisk Corporation is the global leader in flash memory cards – from research, manufacturing and product design to consumer branding and retail distribution. This experience revolves around three fundamental principles that were designed by quietly listening and observing how people live and communicate. &lt;br /&gt;“HTC Hero introduces a more natural way for reaching out to the people and accessing your important information, not by following the status quo of today’s phones, but by following how you communicate and live your life,” said Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer, HTC Corporation. “HTC Sense is a distinct experience created to make HTC phones more simple for people to use, leaving them saying, ‘it just makes sense.’”&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HTC Hero&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;HTC Hero continues HTC’s leadership in cutting-edge design that focuses on introducing a variety of distinct devices to represent your own individuality. The HTC Hero is built to last beginning with an anti-fingerprint screen coating for improved smudge resistance and a longer lasting, clearer display. The white HTC Hero includes an industry-first, Teflon coating, resulting in an improved, durable white surface that is soft to the touch. &lt;br /&gt;With its 3.2-inch HVGA display, the HTC Hero is optimized for Web, multimedia and other content while maintaining a small size and weight that fits comfortably in your hand. It also boasts a broad variety of hardware features including a GPS, digital compass, gravity-sensor, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, a 5 mega-pixel autofocus camera and expandable MicroSD memory. HTC Hero also includes a dedicated Search button that goes beyond basic search, providing you with a more natural, contextual search experience that enables you to search through Twitter, locate people in your contact list, find emails in your inbox or search in any other area in Hero.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image005&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; margin-right: auto; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;103&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image005&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPUBffacIl1QOCzihD1F5QwUpKTTPKdXrREc7V1dV7yvFSq6jBVmXpYENqpjtNkpFUkjUWx9CNXNn93_FjOx4F7ptNRJvyjh-ZBVDxY9-mxqH4W7cGUlIVOb45L-1H5vAE1usWOnzRXUQd/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;140&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HTC Sense&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Built on a culture of innovation and a passion to enhance people’s lives, HTC shapes the mobile experience around the individual. Debuting on the HTC Hero and available on all new HTC devices moving forward, Sense delivers on three basic principles: Make it Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Make It Mine&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Make It Mine, is about feeling your HTC phone was created for and by you. To do this, HTC encourages you to dictate and organize how you want to access the people and content in your life in a way that fits best for you. For some, this means adding glance view widgets that push content like twitter feeds, weather and other content to the surface while others may want quick access to business-focused information like email, calendar and world-times. HTC is also introducing a new profile feature called ‘scenes’ that enables you to create different customized content profiles around specific functions or times in your life.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Stay Close&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Today, staying in touch with the people in your life means managing a variety of communication channels and applications ranging from phone calls, emails, texts, photos, status updates and more. HTC Sense takes a different approach by integrating these communication channels and applications into one single view enabling you to stay closer to your important people. With HTC Sense, friends’ Facebook status updates and photos along with their Flickr photos are included along side their text messages, emails and call history in a single view.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Discover the Unexpected&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Many of the most memorable moments in your life are experienced, not explained. HTC Sense is focused on providing a variety of these simple yet innovative experiences on your HTC phone that will sometimes bring you moments of joy and delight. It can be something as basic as turning the phone over to silence a ring or as simple as improving the smart dialler for making calls quicker. HTC Sense also includes perspectives, a new way for viewing your content such as email, photos, Twitter, music and more in different ways.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Availability&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;The HTC Hero will be available to people across Europe in July and in Asia later in the summer. A distinct North American version will be available later in 2009.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZcHoiX01JKzUZgq64FQJhzLF8mmu4l5ZSJpvI8GlqToYxNX7c1W3slIQVdeOf2bf02_GYMR_xIaxehWpdnfUnDNHhDRjrHmhzerncC7rAYBFBol2Y6na1GxLkgDN2Z-1NGFxaPlntkVWA/s1600-h/clip_image003%5B3%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image003&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;96&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image003&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfvp6u66XEXSA_iZQjPOJIT4lKr82TergeTuBwlhYR7CEMdaEju2WubTRrpX6iXUoXds1mb6yqOAS_fiZ-ikg9TRjAyvgDe-Gngta2xtXEWcUG7t64ZbakRLX00q83wYK6WSg85a5pVI50/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;154&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiBSudDRyOXh1KkEdhREEadoxwOBHWo3XT0sZbaRR2vRuqHhjYAT0jbyi3LY88sIoJQlxSKV9e0RYAjGGfIMkbW6HqDOHLkUAVS_okMa2dMnYdsSkKfWBM3TG4olhWHHmXe7xM1VVWLY6s/s1600-h/clip_image004%5B3%5D.jpg&quot;&gt;&lt;img title=&quot;clip_image004&quot; style=&quot;border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px&quot; height=&quot;67&quot; alt=&quot;clip_image004&quot; src=&quot;https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga6T_0MPigoBYeSdaCRb5moVMYgyeIbj_8g-kGY1OKxosS_Ub45hNKco9tIUMl6felYPvETxohyphenhyphenuMLkWS_2hH-7mNTxWoPU4qwaiOXi7uQd0UtZLNM9KGXb4yTBcTLPWdA95_w5QoSMq59/?imgmax=800&quot; width=&quot;154&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; </description><link>http://blog-on-tech.blogspot.com/2009/06/htc-hero-first-android-phone-with-flash.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (R.Aswath)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1QtlddGy3uAtDkqJizxyJ_eVbpJVbu9awi3ZTKAyJ96j2nyD8Wh4R3HKa_oJRLNV6uHXTY5Z6p1ylSRsUSKgYX1lDVMkBEbGO1YrWEbM-UKLewo2a91okiVvGtuAPnCYJsF43PcQW2vQl/s72-c?imgmax=800" height="72" width="72"/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item></channel></rss>
