Protein Diet - What Does It Mean For Your Body?

2014-07-25T04:29:00.001-07:00

To really understand the impact of a protein diet, it's important to know how it affects and interacts with your body.
When we speak of your muscles, glands, and organs, they are mainly made up of protein. Indeed the two major components making up our bodies are water and protein. So, why all the fuss about protein diet?
There is definitely a link between enhancing muscle and protein since muscle is largely composed of protein. So the argument goes, protein diets help in muscle growth which in turn, helps to fight fat.

Just as there are good and bad fats and carbohydrates, there are different categories of proteins as well.
Proteins are composed of amino acids, and the human body requires 20 such amino acids for it's normal growth and development. When considering a protein diet, it is important to know that certain foods carry proteins containing essential amino acids which are NOT produced by the body itself but ARE essential to the body's processing of the other 12 non-essential amino acids.
What does all this mean? Your protein diet must include foods that not only provide non-essential amino acids, but more important, must include foods that supply your body with essential amino acids.
Foods you should consider for your protein diet include: broccoli, spinach, walnuts (or many other nuts), beans, lentils, pastas, and barley.

George Zimmerman's Fight With DMX Cancelled by Promoter

2014-02-08T15:34:00.000-08:00

George Zimmerman will not be going toe-to-toe with DMX in a celebrity boxing event ... and the promoter says it's because his conscience finally kicked in.

In an earlier report DMX has said he would piss on George Zimmerman's face (read it here) and George Zimmerman agreed to take the bait in a celebrity fight, but his promoter has finally cancelled the fight and announced on twitter his reason for cancelling the fight, see what he said:

"Just looked at my son and daughter today wow I'm so lucky those people must be in so much pain ... all you people are right."

We actually dont know what he meant by "those people", but whatever he meant, the fight has been cancelled.

Eddie Murphy's Daughters Stripped Down In Mom & Future Stepdad's Bedroom

2014-02-07T07:39:00.000-08:00

Eddie Murphy's hot young daughters have hijacked their mom and her fiancé Michael Strahan's boudoir for their recent sexy lingerie shoot.

Photographer Dimitri Ray -- who snapped the pics last Thursday -- says, the girls chose the master bed inside Nicole Murphy and Strahan's giant Bev Hills mansion as the shoot location ... presumably because it's big and fluffy and ... who the hell knows.

The girls didn't consult with mom and Michael -- who would have chosen a different location than the spot where they have sex.

FYI, Eddie and Nicole split in 2006. Nicole and Michael got engaged in 2009.

We're told it was 19-year-old Shayne's first attempt at modeling (not bad) but it's old hat for 24-year-old Bria. The photographer says the girls wanted to use the shots to pitch themselves to Victoria's Secret.

Good luck with that. (click continue to see the luxurious room)

2014-02-03T04:46:00.001-08:00

Chika Ike in a recent interview talks about her extravagant trip to UAE. in that interview, she made people to understand that she is an independent woman who makes her own money and spends it the way she wants.
Her trip to UAE was deemed expensive, but the correction is: no man sponsored her, its her money she spent. see how she puts it in her own words:

"Whose money? Is it not the money I worked hard for? Did anybody give me? I have worked hard and I deserved every bit of the luxury I enjoyed over there and I can proudly say that. I will do it over and over again because I deserve it".
Making money is difficult sha, she ended up spending somebodys life saving in a single trip, but like she said, its her hard earned cash, when you work for it, you enjoy it more!

Riding To Heaven: Man Buried Sitting On His Beloved Bike

2014-02-02T03:43:00.001-08:00

An Ohio man’s family is fulfilling his dying wish — to be buried astride his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle encased in a see-through casket.
But it hasn’t been easy. The project required an extra-large cemetery plot to accommodate a Plexiglas casket for Billy Standley and his hulking custom-painted 1967 Electra Glide cruiser. Five embalmers worked to prepare his body with a metal back brace and straps to ensure he’ll never lose his seat.

Standley’s family said he’d been talking about it for years and liked to take people to the garage to show off the unusual casket his two sons had built for him. He told people he didn’t just want to ride off to heaven, he wanted the world to see him do it in the big see-through box.
“He was a quirky man,” daughter Dorothy Brown said. “But when it comes to us kids, he loved us, he raised us well and, of course, we wanted to help him.”
The Dayton Daily News reported that Standley of Mechanicsburg, west of Columbus, died of lung cancer Sunday at age 82. He was to be buried Friday.
A newspaper photo of the prepared casket shows Standley with his eyes closed astride the big bike. He’s dressed in black leathers, a white helmet and glasses, his gloved hands grasping the handlebars.
Standley told his family his motorcycle helped him retain his sense of adventure after he settled down to raise four children, which was quite a compromise for the man who made his start at 13 as ranch hand and rodeo rider.
He started the project himself, buying three extra burial plots next to his wife, Lorna. His sons, Pete and Roy, fashioned the casket out of Plexiglas, reinforcing the bottom with wood and steel rods to handle the extra weight.
Enlisting the help of Vernon Funeral Homes, Standley ensured his funeral would be held outside, so all his biker friends could watch his final ride.
His family agreed the processional to the cemetery might be a little bizarre, even shocking.
“He’d done right by us all these years, and at least we could see he goes out the way he wanted to,” Pete Standley said.

Flores also victimized Kris Jenner. Flores was able to get a total of $71K transferred from Jenner's account to his, but it's unclear how much he got from Kim.

Miley Cyrus Nude Leak: Interesting or Disgusting?

2014-02-01T04:42:00.000-08:00

This photo right here, if you can even believe it, just might be the actual cover of an actual magazine. Someone might have styled Miley Cyrus like this -- on purpose -- laid her down, and photographed her, and then someone, probably even a group of people, might have decided that this needed to be the cover of "W" magazine. And here we are.

This all "might" have happened, by the way, because this is just a leaked image of the cover, it hasn't been confirmed or anything. But it looks pretty legit, right? And if it is legit, is it safe to say that this is the most ridiculous magazine cover that's ever been made? (more pix after the cut)

He adds, "Zimmerman is a piece of s**t and that’s what he needs to drink."

Do you think George will take him up on the offer???

Family Of Seven Wiped Out By Suspected Fulani Herdsmen

2014-02-01T04:16:00.000-08:00

Gunmen alleged to be Fulani herdsmen have wiped out a family of seven in Manyi Akuru village, near Manchok, Kaura local government area of Kaduna State.

The rampaging gunmen were said to have killed Mr. Sunday Abin, 47 and removed his tongue, while his wife and their five children were said to have been mutilated with machetes.

Several people were said to have sustained injuries from gunshots, while many houses and food stuffs were reportedly set ablaze.

The incident was said to have occurred at about 10:30pm on Thursday and threw the community into confusion.

Angry youths from the community were said to have protested the continuous attacks on them by gunmen when the Kaduna State Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Yero visited the area to commiserate with them over the incident.

According to reports, the angry youths booed the governor and pelted his convoy with stones, accusing him of failing to adopt security measures to check the attacks.

The governor’s Director General on Media and Publicity, Ahmed Maiyaki, however denied that the governor’s convoy was pelted with stones, although he admitted that the people were angry, but they did not throw stones or booed at the governor.

“It is true that we went in a condition that was tense. Women and youths were protesting, carrying leaves, but no one threw a stone at our convoy,” Maiyaki said.

Maiyaki, in a statement said Governor Yero visited the scene of the incident in Ungwar Kajit, near Manchok.

The statement said the governor condemned the attack and prayed that God should expose the perpetrators.

“We pray that God should expose the people that are causing this problem. We pray that God should touch their hearts to stop such dastardly acts or destroy their evil machinations.”

“We are going to look at ways of dealing with this situation, because this community is porous and we must find way to improve security” the statement quoted Yero as saying.

Two expatriates working on the Senate Building Project of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State were Thursday kidnapped by gunmen near the site.

The abduction of the expatriates was disclosed in a statement by the university’s Principal Assistant Registrar in charge of Protocol, Information and Public Relations, Mr Sola Imoru.

The countries of the abducted expatriates were not revealed, but it was gathered that the men were seized by gunmen who rode in a Mercedez Benz Car.

JUSTIN BIEBER: Penis Pictures Leak, Text Messages Phony?

2014-01-18T07:16:00.000-08:00

Justin Bieber seems to be so much in the news columns this days but with nasty stories. now one of his staff or someone in his camp has turned against him exposing text messages and pictures he sent to Selena Gomez and others including pictures of his pennis. but TMZ learnt that the texts and pictures are bogus.
According to the source, the saboteur is even planning to sell the pictures to different media through a middle man. the texts appear to be untrue, but i suppose the pennis picture is true.

As for the penis photo, it was supposedly sent to Selena.

The photo appears to taunt her -- "Come on, don't tell me you don't miss this." wow, and guess what her reply was, "Stop it. You need to listen to Scooter and go to rehab. u r sick." (i thought she would actually miss that)
Justin texts back: "F**k you. F**k scooter. F**k all y'all I AM DONE!" He also says, "Can't hear you over my cash, babe!" You're only famous cuz of me."

In my opinion i would say JB might actually need something like a rehab, what do you think???

How Ciara Deals With Haters

2014-01-18T05:58:00.001-08:00

Ciara one of the hitlist RnB singer recently announced her pregnancy after a whirlwind 2013 that included a new album and an engagement to rapper beau Future. i guess she is so happy with herself and has got no time for nasty post about her on the internet.
She not quite long wrote an open letter to bloggers who drive crazy traffic posting lies about her. "People have been getting out of control, and It's taking away the excitement and the cool factor of creativity". those were her exact words.
The simple truth is that she is handling the issue in the most mature manner ever, see how she puts it in her own words; "I always try to turn negativity into positivity, If you're taking your time to write about me, there has to be something special, I'm living my dream. I'm doing what I want to do every day, and actually, I'm getting paid while you're writing about me!" wow! i think she has turned the table round on bloggers, especially the "haters".

About what shes doing now, Ciara says she's in a "really comfortable creative place" at this point in her life. Being able to work with her fiancé on her new album may also have something to do with it. "I like to say love and music are the strongest forces on earth," she says. "When you can be bonded by something that powerful, it's like the sky is the limit."
