I'm an Obssesive Person

I didn't just notice, but it became so blaring obvious that it won't leave my mind. The first instance I can truly remember begin obsessive was when K-on! was airing. I looked up their instrument and knew their exact model. I had every song as soon as it was out. Lurked several anime forums about K-on!, started to read the manga, looked up the voice actors, the list goes on. Looking back on that it's a tiny bit creepy but I was obsessed.

MLP:FIM is another account of when I obsessed over something. I knew the voice actors, watched the series several times, drew ponies, kept up with all the news I could. I'm sure I've done this about a lot of things without noticing. I tend to be obsessed with knowing everything when I like it. Watch an anime? I must watch it's sequels, specials, that one fan doujin. It sounds odd but I just have a crave to know everything I can. It got real bad with Karin/Chibi Vampire. It has a novel, manga, and anime. Not only that but all three are slightly different. I felt a very powerful need to be completest about it.

Maybe I'm obsessive because I'm perfectionist about completing things? I guess I'm an otaku in the Japanese sense of the word. Obsessive about something. I'm a parkour otaku, an anime otaku, and who knows what else.

What brought this upon is Densha Otoko. I watched the TV Drama a while ago and loved it so much. It brought me to tears. I loved it. Well recently my music player landed on a song from the OST. This made me want to watch it again, and from there I wanted to watch the film, read the mangas, read the novel, and what has been archived from the original 2ch posts.

For those that don't know Densha Otoko is a Novel based off a series of threads from 2ch where an otaku gets advice on a girl he likes. It's a bit more complex than that but go look it up. You can find the archived posts translated to english here. From the novel a film, a tv series, and several manga were created.

I have watched the series already a while ago but I'm watching it again, along with the film, I've already read all of the translated manga online, and I'm almost finished with the translated archive. That's what I mean by obsessive. I feel the odd need to watch, read, and learn everything.

Just some late night self observation. Honestly the only down side is sometimes this leads me to waste a lot of time looking up and researching stuff. Well that and looking like a complete freak but I do that enough that it doesn't mater.

Well I've ran out of things to say so I'll call this a post.

That kind of story telling

I've been reading a manga recently. I won't go into details about it because well, I actaully just rather not, I'll just leave it at it's an echi manga. I really like this manga, it's interesting, amusing, and has decent character development. It's odd on top of all of that. That being said it's not great, it does what it does decent, but not great like other manga that have touched my heart, and for how long it is I would expect more (90 chapters and still ongoing.) I do have one main gripe, and it's a method of story telling it uses.

I'll quote a line "Nobody would have guessed that this would be the last time we'd all go on a field trip together." I don't know what it is about story telling like that but I dislike it. The after it happen looking back kind of way. I might be able to stomach it if the entire story was versed in this post looking back kind of way, but it's not. Most of the story is told in the now except certain parts almost like it's trying to get sympathy for one of the characters.

It's not trying to be subtle about it at all. The girl is sick we get this, but it's pushing the fact that she's hiding how sick she is from her friends. The again should I expect high tier storytelling from a manga like this... I don't know it just get's on my nerves. Stories that do this feel like they're holding your hands or you're to incompetent to foreshadow on your own. They also feel like they're trying to drive out sympathy for the characters in an unnatural way. After that line now anytime they're all together smiling you feel sorry because you know that will be lost.

Well that's all I got to say for now. as I mentioned in the last update I'll mostly just be typing when I feel like it which is mostly when something bothers me a little.

Okay what is going on?

I've all but abandoned this blog. I haven't had inclination to write here at all, yet I still get comments. I can't even figure out where they're coming from looking at sources. Also why is some PHD UK site referring here? You guys ghosts or something? Really it's odd. I'm thinking of coming back maybe posting once a week. Maybe people. For right now I'll just give a few updates out about what's going on, what I am doing, what I plan to do.

First is first is my LPs. Error after mistake after problem after interruption. UGH! Everything I've tried to record in the past month has botched in some way. Just today... er... Yesterday I tried to record Minecraft and as I ended it Fraps froze and the video corrupted. It's getting frustrating, I'm considering dropping Let's Plays until I can afford a better computer. I need about 400$ with the parts I have now. Too bad my adsense was banned because of a click bomber.

Second thing is second is my comic. You guys never heard of it, and for good reason, I'm horrible at updating it, just like the blog. It's a tribute to an animation I saw on Sheezy Art that amassed a decent fandom for that site's time. It was a lot of fun back then, and I've gathered two out of the three most active fan members whom I got in contact with after a few years of silence between all of us. I also talked to the third for a short while, but she didn't care for Kill Pacman anymore. Oh yeah that's it's name.

Third is parkour. God I have been way too fucking lazy, and that is going to change. I'm planning a video, that might take a little while and is going to be a pain without a tripod but I'm going to do it regardless. I'm hoping it will serve as inspiration to everyone when it's finished.

Fourth (he's still typing?) would be everything else. I should write more anime reviews for TTS but I don't know, I always love anime, no mater it's flaws. I also hate number rating and everything. I can only cringe at some review on MAL. They talk about high expectations or sub standard plot. I never have this problem. No anime I have ever watched was lower than my "standards". My standards are low because I like to enjoy the things I watch... It reminds me of audiophiles, they don't enjoy music, otherwise they wouldn't need to spend 3000$ on equipment and store only FLACs and be obnoxious about people listening to 320kbps MP3s. I want to hug those kind of people and tell them it's all right to enjoy life for what it is, enjoy music for what it is, enjoy anime for what it is, enjoy your enjoyment.

Fifth. How'd I get here, I planned on four being the last. I got heated about something. I've been coding Python a bit but more info on that at a later date. I've been watching a lot of anime recently. It past week I have watched Macross, Samurai Champloo, Battle Athletes Victory, Hen Zemi OVA, Bottle Fairy, and Hidan no Aria (Just finished this like ten minutes ago.) My calculator is within easy reach, that's 108 episodes of anime (Bottle fairy has short episodes so each on counts as .5) that's almost thirty-six hours of anime this past week. Something triggered and I wanted to watch all I could. Oh boy I just went off and ranted again didn't I. I had one other thing I thought about saying but it's not important.

Dreamer

Some how I remembered something I was thinking about before I fell asleep. This is the first time I know that I have been able to do that. I was thinking about how I am frequently day dreaming about random things. Things like a desk job one time, a gardening job another, marrying some random girl, one time I day dreamed about getting stabbed. A lot of these "dreams" aren't even stuff I want to work toward. A lot of people have a dream they want to work toward but I have hundreds and none I'd like to work toward.

I'm a dreamer, but I'm also someone who wants to works towards his true desire. The problem arises when I don't know what that desire is, muddled in hundreds of dreams instead of one specific one. I'm only eighteen though. I don't need to work towards that one thing yet but it's still a little unnerving.

Life will bring what life will bring. Until I know where to herd it toward, I'll just let it lead.

Disapearnce

It seems I disappeared for a long while. I didn't do this for the money but it sure was nice and it made me want to post more than ever. Since my adsense got banned I've wanted to post but I've been too busy either looking for a job or doing other things (like playing my new ukulele.) I'll try to remember to post at least a little bit from now on. I got this little booklet so when I'm out and about I can write down ideas for posts (when they seem to be most frequent). Maybe I can remember to post. Still have no tripod so parkour is still not recordable. Oh well. Well my mind has blanked so I'll hopefully come out of the shadows and see you next time.

Interviewed by the news: Parkour style

So I mentioned I was interviewed by the news. It was a local news station called KITV. Channel 4 here. Well it was because of a parkour class a friend runs. I took his class a few month ago. Sorta. He gave me a major discount because I was a friend and I was able to help teach a little bit. Well he keeps running these six week classes and I'm not sure how but the news came to film it and interview people.

He posted on my Facebook wall telling me: "What you doing thursday, news coming to class, I talked about a guy who canalized anger with parkour and theyd like to have you there for interview... can?"

Yeah I think I mentioned before that parkour has helped me with anger problems in the past. So on Thursday I went down there and showed off for the camera, took place in the class (I may be good at parkour but his conditioning still kills me), and got interviewed by the news. The asked questions about what parkour is to me, how it helped me, how I got started, what I had expected out of it, all that kind of stuff.

She gave me her card and told me to e-mail here about when it would air, I did so only about twenty minutes ago so I'll have that information later, but I do know KITV has a youtube channel so I will have that up when they post it.

All in all it was really cool. I got to take one of his classes free, I got interviewed by the news, and I met some more people who are really cool! Also a ten year old "ninja" was taking his class. The oldest was forty-one years old. At least that I know for sure because I have him on Facebook and his birthday was yesterday.

That's the only way I can summarize me in the last few days. I have some let's play stuff to post about. If you want to see just go to my YouTube channel. News episodes and all that stuff. I got interviewed by the news on Thursday, today I went on a hike with my mom and little sister. The dazzle arrived. The list goes on about what I could blog about. Why haven't I? No idea. Though yesterday I was really really sore so I didn't even feel like typing. Today I slept all day after the hike. I'll try to post more often again soon!

Ambitions too great

I think a lot of people are like that, me included. Right now I'm actively creating Let's Plays, coding, training parkour, and starting soon I'll be learning to play the ukulele. Sometimes though I feel my ambitions are beyond my capability. Well I feel that may be true but I never nor will I be able to accept it. I'm doing what I love to do everyday but I'm still not sure. That nagging thought about trying to get practice in for everything.

Like today I spent five hours coding with a friend on a site. I had fun, even though it was irritating at times and got a little old. I also learned a lot. That's five hours though. Same with Let's plays, I've already spent 2+ hours recording total in my videos. Then I need to put time aside to work-out and train. I'm also going to be learning the ukulele very soon, as well as my let's plays will be picking up.

On top of all that I have to make sure I'm ready for the GED by August. On top of that I constantly have several several other things that come to mind that I want to do. Oh and then I have my blog. There's just so much to do but if I try to get it all done I just fail at everything. So much to do when I only have twenty-fours hours in a day, and I have to sleep sometime.

The worst part is these are all things I love and want to do. I would schedule say practice uke at this time and record at this time and study at this time and work-out at this time but then I would feel constrained. I once said life is too short for ones ambitions. It isn't but you have to be more patient than me.

So what will I do? I don't know. I'm most defiantly going to keep blogging and creating let's plays. I'll be playing the ukulele with a friend and whenever I'm just chilling in a skype call. Coding I'll probably do on the side with my friend as he gets jobs. Working out and training... Honestly I don't know. Crazy as always I guess. Studying. I think I'll put in two good hours a day of studying.

I do what I love but I love too much. At least it's not as bad as a few years ago. I was trying to do three times as much.

An odd dream

Last night I had this quite odd dream. I was going to a school that seemed like a mixture between medieval style Japanese buildings and Western cathedrals. I'm not sure how it worked either. There were several people there who resembled those I know but almost in a alternate universe kind of way. Like a white friend was black and female friend was a guy. All kinds of weird. Although all of this is in hindsight, in the dream I thought nothing weird of the place. Just goes to show perception usually overshadows reality.

Anyways three days passed in the dream. Crazy how time can lose meaning so easily. Even better is I was a completely different person. Actually who I was in the dream reminded me of a character I once roleplayed. Hyper, innocent, all that stuff. There were also a lot of people who didn't like me in the dream but I didn't seem to care.

Probably the weirdest part of the dream was one of my friend was literally throwing me eight feet into the air and then catching me. Then the last time he threw me and tried to catch me he fell down an I tried to help him up and all of a sudden I shot to reality realizing I was dreaming. I was also kinda confused thinking about the dream because it seemed so odd to me.

NaNoWirMo

Other wise known as National Novel Writing Month. This is a very fun event in November. It's really international but that doesn't have the same ring. Pretty much this event is about writing a 50,000 word novel in the one month of November. I did attempt this last year but I didn't quite make it. Actually I was way off. Of course this year I'm going to try again! If any of you enjoy writing I would defiantly suggest you do too. It's a while away but you might want the time ahead.

This is a competition against one's self, there is no real prize other than the satisfaction that you did it. So if you cheat, you're only cheating yourself and no one else really cares. This event is for the fun of it and the love of writing. You can even meet up with people around your area in the forums. You can setup a meet-up at a Starbucks or something and just all write together. It might sound boring but there are those of us that love that chill kind of atmosphere when hanging out.

2000$ shipping?!

So I was trying to order the splitters and the dazzle from amazon and guess what happened? The finalized bill said 2000$ for shipping. I started cracking up thinking it was a bug so I went through it again and same thing. I went to a different company and they didn't ship to Hawai'i. Finally I found one who ships to Hawai'i that was actaully the cheapest of them too and ships free. You can see a screenshot after the break.

Lovely. Anyways now my LP stuff is ordered. Yay! All I have to say is Hawai'i shipping sure is crazy ;)

Oh little side note, I tried to record some parkour stuff, an exercise to be precise, but without a tripod it isn't going to work. Not only is editing a pain but I can't even shoot now. I'll probably get a tripod soon though!

Two New Minecraft LP EPs Up

Also some LP update news that I talked about in the videos, I planned on getting the video distribution amplifier but alas it was out of stock. So I'm just going to use RCA composite cables and splitters. Three new LPs I plan to start are Final Fantasy IX, Wild Arms 1, and possibly mirrors edge. There is also something special I plan to do if I can get recording from emulators right.

Anime Review: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Hey Mikenter here! Another anime review, this time of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

This anime is over the top, cray, and I love it. This mecha anime starts a couple of guys who live underground who long for this fabled sky. When the find it they learn that humans are not allowed to live on the surface and are killed on site. They decide from there to lead a revolution to take down their oppressors.

Anyways I finally decided to make a banner, after several hours failing to create it the way I wanted to I opted for an easier route that took me maybe fifteen minutes and turned out nicely, at least I think so. ~~Though I am annoyed it isn't centered. Can anyone help me with that? It's really bothering me...~~

I have also joined in with TheTechSyndicate.com a site that features several blogger and topics ranging from technology to minecraft to other stuff that I may not even pay attention to being there. I'm probably going to start an anime section for them as well as help with minecraft and let's plays. I really do suggest going to check them out and all that.

Nothing else to say, still haven't decided on what I want to get. To be honest I will get all of the equipment sometime but it's a matter of in what order.

Story time: Moon's creation

I wrote this in about ten minutes when I woke up and realized a creation story project that had been assigned the week before was due that day. In a flurry I threw clothes on and wrote something up before running to get on the bus. I was half asleep and didn't care as long as I had something to to turn in. Can you believe I got an A for this nonsense?

Ever wonder how the star and moon got there? How about the lack of fairies we have in this day and time? Well that's all a cause from a long long time ago. Way back before the moon or stars existed fairies were plentiful in the once giant forest. Everyone knows the faeries help the forest to grow. Anyways the night was very dark. The animals where afraid so they asked the fairies for help.

The fairies agreed to help their animal friends and flew up higher then ever before and spread their sparkles across the sky. Once they were done the animals were still afraid, the stars didn't add enough light. So the fairies decided to make one big star. They all flew up and formed a circle and stayed like that, creating the moon. As a cause of this, fairies just disappeared. The moon's light comes and goes because that's how fairies shine: on and off. Some believe that lightning bugs are the long lost cousins of the fairies, but that's a story for another time.

At the end of the month I will have around 190$ I've been thinking about several things I kinda want to get, but I can't decided which to get or if they're worth it at all. I'm trying to decided between audio recording equipment or LP recording equipment. And within that I can get pretty good quality LP recording stuff or cheep out bit.

Thus I turn to the internet because I can. I currently have no way of recording consoles but I can easily record N64 stuff with fraps and Gameboy stuff with the built in recorder. So in all reality I have what I need. Same with audio recording, I have what I need:

Let's Plays

I have recently made a new channel specific to Let's Plays. At the end of the month I'm going to get the cables and capture card I need to start recording from my ps2 and ps3. So look forward to that. I'll also do Minecraft and Terraria throughout the life of this channel. After the break you'll find my first video uploaded. The channel is MikenterLP.

Favorites

How can I have a favorite. I like things because of certain qualities. I may like some book because of how it's set up and another because of the characters. A favorite is an absolute above all else, but I like a lot of things, not one thing could be a favorite. If someone asks me what my favorite anime is how do I answer. Well I do have an anime I spout out (The Melancholy Haruhi Suzumiya) for such an occasion because they expect a straight forward answer and don't deserve to sit there while I ramble.

Though I do say, "Favorite is a finicky word." and leave it at that. Back to the point I don't understand favorites. I hardly ever use denotative definitions, I'm more of a connotative kind of person and from my experiences, it means the top of whatever is in question. So if you ask for the favorite book how should I pick between my favorite science fictions and my favorite romance. I like them for different reasons, why should I pick the greater of them.

Choosing a favorite is comparing for the top. That's why I don't rate by numbers anymore. To use numbers to rate, you need a comparison. What and why would I compare one work to another, aren't they two different entities. I can enjoy something and enjoy it's "comparison." I also dislike number because people can give something a low number even when they wouldn't like the work in question to begin with.

That's why my reviews are how they are. I say whether I personally enjoyed it or not and then what kind of fan might enjoy it. I won't say this get's this score. That's why I like the like/dislike buttons on YouTube. Though looking up videos you dislike just to dislike them is stupid. Why look up a video you dislike. On the other hand if an artist you follow and like releases a song that you can't quite get behind then that's when you press it. If they keep doing it time and time again just unsub.

My favorite song can change within a mater of seconds several times in a row. My favorite book can change with every book I read. My favorite anime is just there to simplify the answer. I don't really have favorites, just likes and dislikes.

I saw parkour coming. That was one of the things I was sure would be in the top three. I didn't not expect stories and personal to pull up second and third. Especially not personal. Doesn't mean it isn't awesome all the same. I'm actaully feeling like I'll be able to sleep tonight. Sleep? At night? Crazy I know. So I'll be able to hopefully film something. Curse my current lack of a tripod. Maybe I'll go to the mall and get one.

Stories I'll start putting out again, I still have a bunch back logged, a bunch I need to type up, and I can always look for inspiration to write more.

That was a little bit embarrassing. I went for a walk and I'm perfectly better now. That last post was a bit out there I got to admit. I didn't find what I was angry about but I'm happy now. I've calmed down. I don't need to know. I'm back to normal and that's what counts.

Ahhh, what can't soothing night air fix. I feel happy. Bubbly. Pumped. Invigorated. Inspired. Creative. Strong. But best of all. I feel normal. Well at least I decided to pickup the keyboard during that small outburst. Just another look into things that can happen as I travel through life.

SHUT UP!!!

Thoughts are racing through my head faster than an analogy I can't come up with. They keep coming and going. All though that going part is sparingly. I'm pacing so fast tat I'm almost jogging. It's actaully a struggle to sit here and type this. I'm typing with about 40% more vigor and 30% more speed than normal to compensate. I don't know why my mind is reeling. I can't finger out the culprit. I have this major urge to hit something, but I'm telling myself not to...

"That wall is making fun of you." I'm not stupid don't mock me! Walls can't talk. I will not punch it! Why am I yelling at myself. Which one am I. One of them is yelling for peace, another for pure carnage. another just laughing to the side. Yet another is trying to intervene but can't get a word in. Which one of these thoughts am I? I'm all of them no doubt. But then why are the fight... Why am I fighting myself.

I'm not insane. I purposely fabricated these personalities and these voices for each their own reason. Normally I completely control them. I can switch between each one perfectly and I am them. Now they're all yelling and I can't think. All I can do right now is control my breathing. It's easy to close your ears to something but your thoughts... That's a lot harder.

all these fabricated personalities are part of who I am, that's why I can switch willfully between them. It's just me acting differently because I want to. But now they won't listen and shut up. It sounds weird typing it out. I'm not insane, I'm not bipolar. These are all thoughts, I'm perfectly able to act as myself. Right now I'm typing. I know what I'm saying.

I think I'm typing this to ignore my thoughts....

You know. I may just be angry. Me. Myself. None of them. I'm angry at nothing. they're trying to help me, bar a few.

Actually I feel a little better. I'm going for a walk. I'll sort out my thoughts there. I control my mind and no amount of anything will stop my mental strength. I think I just realized something. If I remember it, I'll write something on it.

If you look to your ~~left~~ right there is a poll. I'd like to ask you to vote on it. When I have what I feel is enough votes I'm going to do as it says and focus on the top three. Though I will do the other topics I will put more effort into getting the three you all want to see most out more frequently.
