בשבת האחרונה יחד עם עוד כמה מאות של בנות מורעלות עיצוב, סטיילינג ולייף-סטייל, סחבתי איתי את כל המשפחה ליריד המצויין שאירגנה נתנאלה - Port of dreams.

היריד נערך בנמל יפו וזו היתה הזדמנות נפלאה לטייל באיזור המקסים הזה ולצלם עד כלות.
הגענו לנמל בסביבות 13:00 בצהריים, היריד כבר היה עמוס מבקרים (בעיקר מבקרות) שעמדו בתור כדי להיכנס לגן העדן הזמני.
מכיוון שזה בלתי אפשרי לנסוע כמעט שעתיים ואז לחכות בתור עם שלושה בנים שפיצ'פקעס סטייליסטים מעניינים להם ת'^$#%, החלטנו לעשות אתנחתא קלה ופתחנו את היום עם הגלידה המצויינת של לה-ג'נדה.

הרגע הגיע ונכנסנו ליריד!
אני מודה ומתוודה- לצלם ביריד לא צילמתי, למרות שמאוד מאוד מאוד רציתי.
פשוט היה בלתי אפשרי לתפוס איזשהו פריים של משהו עם מסת האנשים שעמדו מול כל דוכן.
אבל הדוכנים היו מדהימים!!!
עמוסי כל טוב, צבעוניים, מושקעים ובעיקר מעוררי השראה.
ניסיתי לעצור, להתמקד ולבהות בשפע, אבל היה מאוד קשה עם שלושה בנים שרק מושכים קדימה וצועקים לי "אמא נווווו....".
זיהיתי פרצופים מוכרים מהפייס, אבל לא יצא לי לגשת לכולן ולהציג את עצמי.
התעכבתי בדוכן המטריף של עדי משוקה והתאהבתי באייל הזה שבטח ימצא את עצמו על הקיר שלי ממש ממש בקרוב.
(יש לי יום הולדת בסוף החודש אהמ...אהמ.... ;))
עדי מקסימה ונינוחה, מצאה את הזמן להסביר ממה עשוי האייל ואף להתייחס לילדים למרות הלחץ והאנשים שסבבו אותה.

הבבושקות ההורסות של יעל אלקיים מהבית של יעלי ידירו שינה מעיניי עוד הרבה זמן
כל בית צריך ברביונים כאלה על המדף.

זה על קצה קצהו של המזלג כי שוב כאמור, לא צילמתי ולכן לא אוכל להראות לכם את כל הטוּב שהיה שם.

כל דוכן היה באמת עולם ומלואו של יופי ותענוג.
לצערי לא ממש היה לי זמן לעצור ולפשפש כמו שצריך, אבל כל הזמן אמרתי לעצמי: "זה בסדר, תהיי רגועה, כולן חברות שלך בפייס, את יכולה להשיג כל דבר בכל רגע נתון" :)
אז במוד רגוע זה נאלצתי להגיד ביי ביי ליריד ולהמשיך הלאה לטיול משפחתי בנמל.

היה יום שמשי ומקסים, אידאלי לטיול וצילומים.
חלפנו ליד כמה ציורי קיר ענקיים ומדהימים.

המגדלור הציורי הזה ניצב ממש מעל היריד.
לוקיישן יותר מושלם מזה- אין!

סמטאות יפו העתיקה

מנוחת המטיילים

בצאתנו מהסמטאות נגלה לעינינו קו החוף של ת"א.

לאחר טיול ממושך נהיינו רעבים והחלטנו לחזור לכיוון השוק.

לרגע התבלבלתי וחשבתי שאני נמצאת בנמל ת"א.

למרות באמת אינספור דוכנים ומסעדות החלטנו לעזוב את נמל יפו ולנסוע לנמל ת"א כדי לאכול ולסיים את היום.

סיימנו לאכול ויצאנו לעבר השקיעה המרהיבה.

קינחנו את היום עם מופע רחוב חמוד.
הילדים היו מאוד מרוצים.

זהו, נגמר לנו היום.
היה באמת יום של כיף שהתחיל ביריד המקסים ונגמר בכיף גדול של הילדים.
כל אחד קיבל את שלו.
חזרנו הביתה עייפים אך מרוצים :)

איך לסגנן ולתלות מסגרות על הקיר

כבר זמן מה שערימת המסגרות הזו שוכבת לי על השידה בחדר.
את המסגרות המהממות האלה קניתי באיקאה לפי מס' חודשים ומאז הן העלו אבק וחיכו בסבלנות.
תמיד חלמתי שיהיה לי קיר כזה עמוס מסגרות שונות שיהווה קולאז' יפה ורומנטי לתמונות אהובות (לשלב התמונות עדיין לא הגעתי).
המסגרות עשויות פלסטיק והן זולות מאוד, משהו כמו 29 ש"ח למסגרת הכי גדולה, אבל הן נראות מצויין ויחד הן יוצרות קיר מרשים ביותר.
ניתן כמובן לצבוע אותן בכל גוון שתרצו, אבל אני העדפתי להשאיר בלבן.

הבוקר החלטתי שדי, אוטוטו חגים ובא לי שדרוג קטן לבית.

למרות שתכננתי לצבוע את הקירות, זה לא יצא לפועל מפאת חוסר בזמן ואולי גם חוסר בדרייב (לא אולי, בטוח!)
אבל מזג האוויר החגיגי עשה לי חשק לפנות את הבוקר "ולהתלבש" על הפרוייקט הזה.

אז איך מארגנים ותולים קבוצת מסגרות בגדלים וסגנונות שונים?

חשוב לארגן מבעוד מועד יריעת נייר מספיק גדולה שתוכל להכיל את כל המסגרות.
(את הנייר הביא לי בעלי ממפעל ידיעות אחרונות, זה פשוט גליל ענק של נייר עיתון).

פורשים את הנייר על הריצפה ומתחילים להניח את המסגרות, מזיזים ומשנים עד שמגיעים לתוצאה הרצויה.

מסמנים בעט את קוי המתאר ואת מיקום המסמר.

תולים את היריעה על הקיר בגובה הרצוי ודופקים מסמרים.

מסירים את הנייר ותולים את המסגרות :)

האקססוריז הכי מ-גניבים לתינוק ♥

{ הפוסט הראשון שלי בעברית, פרגנו! :) }

הדר שלי בן שנתיים וחצי, בן זקונים.

במהלך ההיריון עוד השתעשעתי במחשבה שאחריו יגיע עוד אחד כי תמיד חלמתי על משפחה גדולה.

ואכן, זמן קצר לאחר הלידה, למרות הקושי והלילות נטולי השינה, עוד פנטזתי על התינוק הבא {יש לי שלושה בנים וברור לי כשמש שאם הייתי מביאה עוד אחד הוא היה בן, אז לא, לא קיוויתי לבת :) }

אבל ככל שהזמן נקף והדר גדל, כך הרצון הזה הלך וקטן והצטמק עד שנעלם.

אני לא יודעת מה זה היה כל הדחף הזה, אולי הורמונים, אבל היום אני ממש לא רואה את עצמי עוברת את כל הדבר הזה שוב וגם האמת? די נחמד לחזור לגיזרה :).

למרות הפנטזיות על ילד נוסף, ידעתי בתוך תוכי שזה יהיה ככל הנראה ההיריון האחרון שלי וההתלהבות ממנו היתה גדולה.

את הרעיון ראיתי לראשונה אצל הבלוגרית המדהימה Nicole Blach מהבלוג Making it Lovely שתעדה את בתה חודש בחודשו.
ניקול הכינה סיכות דש מתוקות כשעל כל סיכה תפרה סיפרה ששיקפה את גיל בתה.
אני הייתי קצת פחות קיראטיבית וקניתי את המדבקות האלה:

כל שצריך הוא בגד גוף לבן בסיסי.
רצוי לבן היות והמדבקות שקפקפות וכל דוגמא שיש על בגף הגוף תשתקף דרך המדבקה.
במידה ואתם רוצים בכ"ז להשתמש בבגד גוף כהה או מקושקש, כל שצריך לעשות הוא לגזור עיגול מנייר מדפסת לבן בקוטר קצת יותר קטן מקוטר המדבקה ולהדביק את הנייר במרכז.
חשוב להשאיר שוליים ללא נייר כדי שהמדבקה תידבק לבּד.

Hi everyone

I have a quick important update about my blog:

I decided to start writing my posts in Hebrew since I want to expand the topics of my blog and write about more general life style topics and not only about my polymer clay work.

It feels more natural to write in my mother tongue.
Although I love English very much and enjoy writing and reading it, it's a bit difficult to write freely and fluently.

I'll add a translate gadget to the side bar so you'll be able to translate the posts.

Posts about my polymer clay work, new items etc. I'll write in both languages.

Cupcakes

When I first saw these cupcakes on a local TV show , I knew immediately that I have to make them to my kids.

The recipe is by a local pastry chef and a TV show star- Karin Goren.
You can find the recipe here but it's in Hebrew, you can translate it with Google Translate.

They taste amazing and they photograph beautifully!

Psychedelic Spiral Cane TUTORIAL

It took me a while to come up with this tutorial although it's in my had for such a long time.
I keep getting requests for tutorials and I'm trying to respond.
As you probably know, I use this Rainbow spiral cane for years in most of my beads and general polymer clay designs.
I love how it's upgrade any surface and add happiness with this boost of color.
If you have a "thing" with color like I do, you'll enjoy this cane very much!
This tutorial contain a sketch with detailed dimensions so that you get accurate results.

Strawberry Cake

I think strawberries are the most photogenic fruit that exists.
Theirs shape and gorgeous color, the fact that they flicker to our lives for such a short period, make them more desired.
I don't think there's anyone in this world who doesn't like strawberries.
Even if they're slightly sour, the fantastic bright red compensates for any lack of taste.
I love to buy strawberries at the end of the season, that's when they're the most sweet and tasty.
Since I bought my camera (Canon 60D in case you were wondering :-)), I have been fantasizing about photographing this theme.
With strawberries you can't miss, it doesn't matter what the background color will be, or what the general atmosphere of the scene is, this red will intensify everything and shine.

This week I made a strawberry cake that I've really loved since my childhood.
In this case you don't have to choose between appearance and taste, both are amazing!

So right before the strawberry season ends, here's a gorgeous recipe:

Ingredients:

3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup white sugar
Pinch of salt
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour

30-35 strawberries
1 pack instant vanilla pudding
1 pack instant strawberry jello

For the base:

Whisk the eggs along with the vanilla extract, sugar and salt till you get a smooth texture.
Add the salt to the flour and then fold them into the eggs.
Grease a 10" (24cm) pan and bake in medium heat till golden.
Don't over bake or the base will become too dry.

Rinse the strawberries and split them in half.
Put in a bowl and add 3 tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of boiling water.
Mix the strawberries with the sugar and set aside for about an hour (I prefer to soak for two hours).
You'll end up with sweet strawberry syrup that will be used to moisten the base of the cake.
When the cake cools off a little, prick it with a fork and spread the syrup all over with a tbsp.
Prepare the instant pudding according to the instructions on the box and spread on the base.
Arrange the strawberries on top of the cream and put in the fridge.
Prepare the jello and spread it over the strawberries but be careful not to pour it while it's still boiling.

המצרכים:

3 ביצים
כפית תמצית וניל
חצי כוס סוכר
קורט מלח
חצי כוס קמח
3/4 כפית אבקת אפיה
קופסת תותים (30-35 יח')
אינסטנט פודינג (אני מעדיפה בטעם וניל צרפתי)
ג'לי תות.

להכנת הבסיס:

לטרוף את הביצים יחד עם תמצית הוניל, הסוכר והמלח עד לקבלת מרקם חלק.
לערבב את המלח עם הקמח ולהוסיף לביצים בתנועת קיפול.
לשמן תבנית עגולה מידה 24, ולאפות על חום בינוני עד שמזהיב.
לא לאפות יותר מדי שלא יתייבש.

הכנת התותים:

יש לשטוף ולחצות את התותים.

להניח בקערה ולפזר עליהם 3 כפות סוכר ומזיגה קטנה של מים רותחים.

לערבב את התותים עם הסוכר ולהניח בצד למינימום שעה (אני מעדיפה להשרות שעתיים).

נוצר סירופ תותים אדום ומתוק שישמש אותנו להרטבת הבסיס.

כשהבסיס טיפה מתקרר, לדקור עם מזלג ולפזר את סירופ התותים בצורה שווה על פני כל העוגה.

להכין את אינסטנט הפודינג לפי ההוראות שעל הקופסא ולמרוח על הבסיס.

לסדר את התותים על גבי הקרם ולהכניס למקרר.

להכין את הג'לי ולשפוך בזהירות על התותים

חשוב- לא לשפוך את הג'לי רותח, לחכות שיתקרר טיפה.

לשמור את העוגה במקרר.

His mother adopted my mother few months ago, she definietly knows what's good for her.
She gave birth to only one little amazing kitten.
We name him Meowku :-)

I got myself a new camera woohoo...

My time has finally come and I indulged myself with a good camera.

A Canon 60D with two lenses: 18-135mm and 60mm macro.
For years I've been dreaming of a good camera, a camera that would excite me, that would make me hold it in awe.
As someone who spends a lot of time online and is exposed daily to breathtaking photographs everywhere- on Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, someone who runs an online business and sells her products on the net, I knew I needed the best gear out there to produce top quality photos (well not t-h-e best, but near).
It’s a fact that people are buying more and more online, the internet is overflowing with sellers and product photos, photos that, in technical terms, are near perfect.
I knew I had to do something to place myself near the top, at least in terms of product photography.

I had a small, pretty simple camera. Not that I’m belittling it- it served me loyally for years and I completely abused it, taking thousands of pictures.
But what can you do? Its abilities were very limited and so I found myself wasting hours on editing programs, trying to improve the photos and bring out the true colors of the product and trying to create a photo that would catch the eye and get people to click on it.

Buying a quality camera is no cheap deal. It took me time to decide on taking this step and investing in something that would not only serve my business, but would bring me a lot of satisfaction and pleasure.
My dream was to take quality photos of my kids, to capture meaningful moments in beautiful pictures that will last forever and immortalize our experiences in the best way possible.

When I started taking an interest in the matter, wondering what camera to buy and what my requirements were, I realized I had no knowledge at all.
Every time I saw good photos online, I wrote the photographer and asked what gear they used.
At first I asked what camera they had, but quickly realized that the more important thing is the lens rather that the body.
Slowly I searched, checked and dug up information, and when I finally came to some conclusions regarding budget, requirements and ambitions, I decided on this camera.

I bought the camera a week and a half ago and since then I’ve been learning new things every day.
In other words- I’m in heaven :-)
I can’t stop searching for online photography tutorials, reading anything I can get my hands on and of course implementing, trying everything out and enjoying every second of it.
You might say I've developed a slight obsession because I’m around my camera all day- if not taking pictures, then reading photography related material or researching pictures I took to see what settings work best and what gives me the best results.

So now I can wholeheartedly say that I’ve finally found myself a hobby!
Yes, it’s true that I’m a polymer clay artist and generally a pretty creative person, but polymer clay has long since become my profession and my way of making a living instead of my hobby.
I’ve been looking for something that would be exclusively fun with no stress or deadlines attached.
So now photography is my hobby. I take pictures just for the fun of it.
My pleasure is pure, concentrated, 100% absolute delight.
I’m just starting out with the whole photography thing, but already recognize what interests me and what directions I’m drawn to.
My macro lens is already fixed permanently on my camera, not just for photographing jewelry, but also flowers and portraits.
I realized that landscape photography really isn't me, but maybe that’s because I don’t yet have the proper lens for it.

I haven’t really figured out the kit lens yet. It takes nice pictures, the colors come out nice, but it just doesn't really do it for me. I prefer to attach my macro lens and take all my pictures with it- it’s simply amazing!

Indeed, this is the start of a beautiful friendship and I know that there’s a long and interesting road ahead of me in photography and that excites me.
In the past few days I've learned a few important settings for the manual mode. It’s so relieving to know you can control almost any setting and seriously minimize editing time.

So after driving you crazy, let me show off with some of my very first pictures, and yet pictures that I’m very proud of.
Maybe not everyone will be impressed, maybe technically they’re not to die for, maybe the subject isn't new or revolutionary, but I took every one with great pleasure and when I uploaded them onto my computer, my heart skipped a beat.

It’s fun to think this is only the beginning.

Finely I found some spare time to create new beads!!!
This time I chose to combine different shapes of beads that together can fit into a wonderful and unique piece of jewelry on it's own or together with other beads or parts.
A celebration of colors and happiness that welcomes the spring.

My last door sign for the time being - השלט האחרון שלי לתקופה הקרובה

This is my last door sign for the time being.
I've decided to relax a little and take a break from making them.
I could tell you stories as to why, but it would be simplest to tell you the truth.
The truth is that door signs put me under a lot of pressure.
Customers, expectations of me and my own expectations of myself are very very high.
I find myself in a situation where I simply can't bring myself to start working, I can't get into it.
Every figurine seems like the Everest, a long and difficult climb to the top.
I don't know what happened and where the fun went, but I want to enjoy my work.
It's important to me to create while enjoying myself, while happy and having a good time.
When that isn't the case, you need to stop for a moment and take a deep breath.
What happens is I find myself pushing off orders, time goes by and the pressure grows because I know the customers are waiting.
I really enjoy sculpting and using my creativity, but it's hard for me to be creative while under pressure and even harder for me to be creative when I know the customer paid in advance and I have to work quickly to get the order out in a decent amount of time.
Somewhere along the way I lost a bit of the fun and the creativity and what am I worth without my creativity?
The door signs take up a lot of my time, and together with a house and three kids, I just can't find a spare moment for anything else.
My head is full of wonderful ideas and I'm just waiting to create new things, but the reality is that I simply can't get around to it.
So I've come to a decision- to take a break, and the minute I came to that decision, I felt enormous relief!
I suddenly had room in my head for other things, a sudden rush of new bead designs and other new products.
I also have some time for my jewelry which I really enjoy making.
I just feel the need to move on, to move forward.
And although the door signs are in high demand, I've decided to press the pause button and listen to my heart.
I promise to send an update once I get my creative energy back and decide to go back to making signs.

זה השלט האחרון שלי לתקופה הקרובה.
החלטתי להוריד מעצמי קצת לחץ ולקחת הפסקה מהשלטים.
אני יכולה לספר לכם עכשיו סיפורים, אבל הכי פשוט לומר את האמת והאמת היא שהשלטים מכניסים אותי ללחץ מאוד גדול.
רמת הציפיות של הלקוחות ורמת הציפיות שלי מעצמי מאוד מאוד גבוהה.
אני מוצאת את עצמי מגיעה למצבים שפשוט קשה לי להניע ולתחיל לעבוד, קשה לי להיכנס לזה.
כל דמות הפכה להיות כמו הר אוורסט, טיפוס ארוך ומייגע לפסגה.
אני לא יודעת מה קרה ולמה איבדתי את הכיף, אבל מאוד חשוב לי להנות מהעבודה שלי, ליצור בכיף ובשמחה וברגע שלא היה לי את זה,הייתי חייבת לעצור לרגע ולקחת נשימה עמוקה.
מה שקורה זה שאני מוצאת את עצמי דוחה הזמנות, הזמן עובר ואז הלחץ גדל עוד יותר כי אני יודעת שהלקוח מחכה להזמנה שלו.
אני מאוד נהנית לפסל ולהיות יצירתית, אבל מאוד קשה לי להיות יצירתית תחת לחץ ועוד יותר קשה לי להיות יצירתית כשאני יודעת שהלקוח שילם מראש ואני חייבת לתקתק עבודה ולספק אותה בפרק זמן סביר.
זה קצת איבד מהכיף, מהיצירתיות שבעניין ומה אני שווה בלי היצירתיות שלי?
השלטים גוזלים ממני המון המון זמן ועם בית ושלושה ילדים אני פשוט לא מצליחה להגיע לדברים אחרים.
הראש מלא רעיונות נפלאים ורצון ליצור דברים חדשים, אבל בפועל, אני פשוט לא מוצאת זמן לזה.
אז הגעתי להחלטה, לקחת הפסקה, וברגע שהחלטתי חשתי הקלה עצומה!
פתאום הראש פנוי לדברים אחרים, פתאום רעיונות לחרוזים ולמוצרים חדשים.
יש לי גם קצת זמן פנוי לתכשיטים שאני מאוד נהנית ליצור.
אני פשוט מרגישה צורך ללכת הלאה, להתקדם.
למרות הביקוש הרב לשלטים, החלטתי בכל זאת, לעשות פאוז ולהקשיב ללב שלי.
אני מבטיחה לעדכן ברגע שאמלא את מצבר היצירתיות ואחזור לשלטים.

Well, It's a snail Mezuzah case I've made for the sweetest customer!
There's a matching door sign too but I still haven't photographed it.

New jewelry + New shoots

I'm in a jewelry mode lately.
I've created some new pieces and re-shoot some existing ones.
It's the most relaxing thing for me to do, I love the whole process of jewelry making: looking for nice supplies, thinking about the design, think about the theme of the pictures etc'
I love the new shoots, I've tried so many styles until I end up with this romantic atmosphere and I'm so pleased with the results!
I'm planning more designs very soon.

How does a door sign is born?
First thing first, I create a sketch to organize my thoughts and understand in what scale I have to create the objects.
Then I always start with the had and finishing it with all the necessary details.
After that I go ahead with the body and attach the hands.
Usually after I finish the characters I start to create the background objects.
After all the polymer clay objects are done, I put them in the oven and start to paint the sign, write the names etc'.
When every thing is dry and the polymer clay objects are out of the oven and cold, I glue everything on the sign and attach a double sided glue in the back.
Sounds quick and easy, ha? well no, but I do enjoy the process very much :-)

Hi everyone
I've been away for a long time, again, but I manage to collect enough items to share with you guys.
I try to create new things along orders, it is not easy because my time is very limited.
I often start to work on something in the mornings and finish in the evenings after the kids are in bed, it's hard but the satisfaction is huge.
I guess your already realized that I'm a freak of stripes, it's showing all over the place in my site, shop, blog and in every corner....
So...I've made a few bead sets with stripes, hope you'll like them :-)
