I saw this on local news and on Facebook. I think it would be romantic as cotton candy if you're a couple and you're there to watch it live under the starry sky. Awww... (Melts)

So clearly, the video was posted on Jan 2012. It was not a tribute to Whitney Houston because she died. She probably seen its beauty. It's just sad that tributes are almost always after the death which the artist wouldn't see nor hear nor cry out of overwhelming happiness they deserve. And it's irritating to know that some leech sucks on someone else's fame especially the death-fame. Whatever. Tribute or not really, this is amazing!

So here is Dubai's Burj Khalifa Lake and its famous dancing fountain. Or the link because of owner's right. *because this one's kinda the legit copy*

Bookmark DIY

I'm fond of reading novels in paperbacks because I can carry it wherever I go. Before, I only use cut folders as bookmarks but when I saw my friend's cute kitty bookmark, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I've hunted every bookstore for a cheap price but I could only find Php75.00 as the cheapest. So, I made my own.

Monster Bookmark

Materials:

1. Fuzzy wires

2. Cords

3. Glue

Step 1

Bend the fuzzy wire in half. Bend again both side towards the midpoint. This will be the arm.

Twist another wire to the arm's midpoint. It will be the tail or spine.

Take another wire and make it a ball for the head. Then attach it to the arm and spine just by twisting the wire.

Step 2

Cut two small white cord then coil. Glue it to the head and paint dark color to make it look like the eyes.

Take another cord or ribbon to accentuate the neck.

Gem Bookmark

Materials:

1. Braided straw

2. Gem brads

Step 1

Fold the straw to your desired length.

Step 2

Insert gem brads at the tail end as the stopper.

You can adjust the gems depending on the length of your book

Since DOT's latest slogan hit the web, it has already gone viral!

Netizens have different opinion on this but come on! I really think the idea is great! I recall Boy Abunda said on The Bottomline (his midnight show at ABS-CBN) that it is already given that we nearly lack resources, but what makes our country a tourist destination is us, Filipinos. Very true.

It's just sad that some of us have pessimistic attitude on everything the government (or even anybody) does. Why not,

Because that's what makes our society, right? Not in a sarcastic way, LOL. Instead, those pessimists criticize the slogan and the whole idea in an uncalled manner. Whenever & whatever bad happens to them they just had to drag the slogan with it and make it look like STFU world, Philippines' tourism campaign is a fake don't come in here we're just bunch of monkeys screecching! Dudes what the fuck, we're selling tourism in hope that we may once again live the way our parents and grandparents lived during Marcos' era (pre-Marshall Law state)! You know, a bread and Coke that will cost you less than Php 1.00 haha make that happen!

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were back together since 500 Days of Summer (both of whom are the stars) and recorded a youtube video, uploaded last Dec. 28, 2011, clearly intended for New Year's Eve.

They are so cute together! I thought I'm watching 500 Days of Summer again!

I didn't know JGL sings! Well, as for Zooey I've known for sometime that she has a band.

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The story is your usual perfect girl plus bad boy blah blah blah. First 5 chapter and I couldn't resist comparing it to Twilight. I almost give up on this one! I don't know in what part it happens, but suddenly it became perfect. I didnt sleep purposely to finish this book. I couldn't get my hands off of it. Like a magnet, I was drawn to the characters and to the story especially to suspense it offers. I love it to bits aside from the observations I have written above. Though, I felt Carmen has to have her ruining moment to the couple as she presents also threat to Brittany. However, I still love this piece.

Crank & Crank: High Voltage Review

I can't believe I shut my eyes on Crank when I saw it on cable channel few years ago! Honestly, I just tried this one because I'm home, bored, got no new CDs and this is the only thing available. Its fast paced transitions, lack of meaningful lines, hilariously delivered satirical scenes, uncalled nudity and violence somehow made it more compelling.

Crank: High Voltage stuck to its original trademark and I must say did not fail to meet the standard the first film has made. It has more unbelievable scenes which of course didn't matter since it's not based on true to life story.

If you don't like violence then these films are not for you.

The Immortals Film Review

Last Dec 9, I watched the talk-about film The Immortals. This is the second time I have watched Tarsem Singh's work and he hadn't failed me yet.

The cinematography is great, I love his angles! I also like how at some point it looks like a classic studio-based movie. How Singh delivered the gods were magnificent because you know, bunch of Greek Mythology movies has this Santa-looking Zeus! I mean, they are gods! Why not let them be youthful, graceful and beautiful? On the other side, the characters were not strongly built, especially the Oracle (Freida Pinto). I crave for more fighting scene since it was majorly compared to 300. Plus, I don't care if they'd changed the mythological facts but the story line were over shone by the actors and special effects. Which is not good. :/ No thunder were used, titans were small (though it's okay if they're a little muddy just to portray they are the evil of the story) and it has too many boring scenes.

The highlight of the film was when the gods and titans fight at Mt Tartarus.

Breaking Dawn Pt 1 Review

So yeah, I've spent my Php220.00 on something I really didn't enjoy. I just went with my friends so we can bond but I swear I did my best explaining to them why we shouldn't watch the movie. I know you think that this is a big biased review but believe me. No. I've read the book and I must say that it's much bearable to read the saga than watching the movies. One word that can describe the film is AWKWARD. I don't know, but every scene is awkward. Aside from that, the lines were delivered badly. There are lines that were supposed to be funny but the audience didn't react because ~~she~~ they delivered the lines apathetically. Plus, script writers should have done something to not make the movie seem crammed in 117 minutes. On the positive side, the emaciated Bella looks genuine and Renesmee is so adorable even though it's obvious she is computer animated. I liked that the movie ended with Bella waking up already a vampire. That made the audience crave for more.

I still regret spending my money on this movie. :|

What's more exciting than a bazaar during Yuletide Season? Tell me! None. Ayt? During and only this season we can experience a big (& I mean really BIG) SALE! And with that magic word I, along with my workmates, drag ourselves to Bellevue Village to experience their infamous annual Christmas Bazaar.

They transform their clubhouse into sale paradise. There are different things they sell - from bags to wallets, accessories to little things like pocket fan. But the crowd-pleaser was at the back of the venue. Factory prize and special discounts for Mossimo, Guess, Salsa, Bayo, Mango items and likes. Now, who would not want to go there and spend a small amount of money for a handful original and pricey items?

The bazaar will be open until Dec 4, 2011, 10am to 9pm

Much to my kakuriputan I don't own a book worth more than 100 pesos. Most of my books were given to me as gifts and some were bought in a book sale. Earlier while I was at National Bookstore and looking for something cheap and nice, I found a copy of Dr. Jekyll and Frankenstein with the same amount - Php99.00. Of course, if I buy both of it I'll probably end up shitting myself 'cause I spent Php200 already. And I really really want to have either Jekyll or Franky but couldn't decide who'll I choose! Gah. My sister advised me to buy both since it's already a good deal. I know. I know. But yeah. I'll buy both! I should've purchased it earlier. Regrets.

Ever since Starbucks became household name, their stores were always full. One night while looking for another cafe, my big sis and I stumbled at this store. Their 'specialty' was Mocha/Mega Frost, tried it out and found out it was actually good, not too sweet and not too coffee base. Their store has this cozy atmosphere that I, at last found, got comfortable easily. With space that was not overwhelming, dim lighting and nice paintings that make you feel at home rather than sitting at some random cafe. It was like something right in every sense. If you like less people, less space, less light, less a/c but with friendly and accommodating crew and with great menu, this is the place to be - Mocha Blends North Edsa Sky Garden.

What is this?? I've been out for almost one and a half months and I felt so out already! Internet world surely evolves so fast!

First, my news resource was cut so I hardly knew what were happening in the world. I learned from a friend that Amy Winehouse was dead, that the Azkals lose their away match with Kuwait and NBA All-Star went here in the PHL and our local All-Star didn't make it too.

Second, what's this new blogspot format eh? I'm lost! ;p Anyways, I'm loving this.
