Duplamente gostoso.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Para os cupcakes: 1 ½ xícaras de farinha de trigo com fermento (180g) 1 ¼ xícaras de farinha de trigo normal (150g) 1 xícara de manteiga sem sal em temperatura ambiente, bem macia (200g) 2 xícaras de açúcar cristal (400g) 4 ovos grandes em temperatura ambiente1 xícara de leite (240ml) 1 colher de chá de extrato de baunilha &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cobertura: 1 xícara de manteiga em temperatura ambiente, bem macia (200g) 6-8 xícaras de açúcar de confeiteiro (500g) *ou um pouco mais se você achar que precisa½ xícara de leite (120ml) 2 colheres de extrato de baunilha&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Preparando os cupcakes: &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Pre-aqueça o forno - 180°C. Unte duas formas de muffins ou coloque as forminhas de cupcakes (veja foto) nos buraquinhos das formas.&lt;br /&gt;Numa vasilha pequena coloque as duas farinhas. Reserve.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Numa vasilha grande bata a manteiga até que fique bem cremosa. Acrescente o açúcar aos poucos e continue batendo por 3 minutos, até que a mistura fique bem macia. Acrescente os ovos um por um, batendo bem após cada adição. Acrescente os ingredientes secos em 3 partes, intercalando com o leite e extrato de baunilha. Bata só para que tudo fique bem misturado. Mas cuidado para não bater demais. Divida a massa pelas forminhas, preenchendo-as até a marca de ¾ da forma. Asse por aproximadamente 20-25 min. Aos 20 min faça o teste do palito. Retire do forno e deixe esfriar por 15 minutos ainda na forma. Só então retire da forma e deixe que acabe de esfriar numa grelha. Quando estiver completamente frio coloque a cobertura. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;**se você preferir fazer um bolo normal ao invés de bolinhos utilize uma forma de 23 cm. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Preparo da cobertura: Coloque a manteiga numa vasilha e bata bem juntamente com aproximadamente metade do açúcar. Bata bem após cada adição - pelo menos por 2 minutos. No começo, havia uma certa confusão e massas adocicadas assadas eram indistintamente chamadas de pães ou bolos. Os egípcios já confeccionavam bolos de mel, bem como os gregos da Ilha de Rodes. Existe um painel datado por volta de 1175 aC, ilustrando a confeitaria da corte do faraó Ramsés III, com o registro de vários tipos de pães e bolos. E alguns historiadores acreditam que em 700 aC, pães e biscoitos adocicados eram vendidos pelo Egito. Os romanos conheciam a técnica da fermentação, e por este motivo, desenvolveram várias receitas de bolos, inclusive com a adição de frutas secas e até mesmo queijo, o que seria uma versão rudimentar do Cheesecake.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Embora os bolos sempre tenham estado associados a festas e comemorações, com o tempo, tornaram-se um alimento mais comum, presente quase que diariamente à mesa. Por outro lado, os bolos de casamento ilustram perfeitamente a evolução da técnica e arte da confeitaria. A tradição de servir bolos em casamentos remonta à Roma antiga. Era costume, nas famílias mais abastadas, preparar uma massa com ingredientes especiais, tradicionalmente usados como oferenda aos deuses, como frutas secas, nozes e mel. Este doce não era para ser consumido, mas os convidados o amassavam por cima da cabeça da noiva, tal como se faz hoje com arroz na saída da igreja.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Desejava-se que os deuses trouxessem prosperidade, sorte e fertilidade. Julio César levou este costume para a Bretanha, em 54 aC, e passou a fazer parte dos hábitos das populações locais. Na Inglaterra, os bolos decorados apareceram pela primeira vez na corte de Elizabeth I. Basicamente se usava pasta de amêndoas (marzipã) moldada em vários formatos. Os ingredientes ficavam cada vez mais sofisticados e exóticos, já que o Império britânico fornecia produtos de todo o mundo. Era comum fazer pequenos bolinhos doces, cobertos de marzipã e decorados. Alguns eram amassado e jogados na noiva, outros consumidos pelos convidados. Os que sobravam eram arrumados em uma pilha, e os noivos deveria se beijar sobre o monte de bolinhos, com o objetivo de serem abençoados com muitos filhos. Não demorou muito para que esta pilha de bolinhos fosse substituída por um grande bolo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dentre as primeiras receitas que se tem registro, a que mais se aproxima dos bolos de hoje é uma receita italiana, de bolo de amêndoas, servida em Nápoles, em 1478. Acredita-se também que tenha sido a Itália a precursora na arte de bolos decorados. Quando Catarina de Médici se casou com o rei na França, Henrique II, levou como dote seus confeiteiros, e seu bolo de casamento foi o primeiro a ser confeccionado em andares. A técnica foi difundida pela França e em 1660, quando o rei Charles II retornou de seu exílio, para reclamar o trono inglês, levou consigo um séqüito de habilidosos confeiteiros franceses.A partir deste momento, quando os bolos ricamente decorados passaram a ser um hábito e também um símbolo de status e poder econômico, começou uma verdadeira corrida para saber qual corte produzia o bolo mais espetacular. O escultor Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini teria usado açúcar para algumas obras especialmente encomendadas.&lt;br /&gt;Há um curioso registro sobre a festa de casamento do Duque Guilermo da Baviera e a senhorita Renata de Lorena, em Munique: O bolo tinha três metros de altura, e durante a festa, o Arqueduque Ferdinando da Áustria teria saído de dentro do bolo, para homenagear os noivos com uma canção (citado em WEIGL, Christoph. &quot;História das Artes Manuais&quot;, Reisensburg, 1698). Durante o reinado da rainha Vitória, na Inglaterra, também se faziam bolos enormes, chegando a pesar mais de 100 quilos. Nesta época os bolos faziam parte da vida de nobres basicamente porque os ingredientes eram escassos, e muito caros. Além disso, ainda não tinham a qualidade de hoje, e uma simples receita de bolo exigia o trabalho de vários empregados: O açúcar tinha a forma de um grande torrão, que devia ser cortado, sovado e peneirado. A manteiga, em geral rançosa, devia ser lavada com água de rosas. As frutas secas, picadas, sem falar nos ovos, usados em quantidades enormes e batidos à mão. O fermento, levedura de cerveja, devia ser cultivado, e reativado, tudo de forma natural. Utilizando-se de uma espécie de pastilhagem, e inspirado na Arquitetura, construía sobremesas e bolos estruturados.
