From advertisements to magazines, we are endlessly surrounded by unrealistic images. In a society that promotes a flawless physique and features as the “norm,” young girls and women often feel the pressure to conform to the unrealistic expectations promoted through digitally altered photos.

Not only does excessive use of Photoshop on photos send out a poor message, but it also can cause low self-esteem and body image issues.

Instead of being used to enhance the quality of photos, Photoshop is used to completely distort a woman’s body into something it’s not.

Models that are already scarily skinny are made even smaller by magazines and photographers. Their waists are shrunk, their arms and legs become nothing but bones and every imperfection is completely erased.

Some photos go as far as to morph the women into figures that are impossible to achieve in reality and are nothing short of Barbie-like.

The negative message these photos send out, especially to someone who is already struggling with their image, is awful.

These types of photos lead us to believe that beauty can only exist in non achievable body type; that it’s even remotely healthy to look like the models in the photos we see. It teaches us that it’s appropriate to try to hide our flaws at all costs instead of embracing them.

Hours spent at the gym and extreme dieting can’t even create the image that Photo-shopped pictures do. Yet young women and girls are led to believe it can be because of what they see on the covers of magazines day after day.

Instead of focusing on what is healthy and all different types of body shapes, we are presented with the same Barbie-like figure time and time again.

These are not safe or healthy ideals to be sending out to an impressionable audience.

A good portion of the problem comes from the influence of the entertainment industry.

In society, celebrities often define what culture believes is beautiful, and almost all of the images we see of celebrities and models in magazines are edited to some extent.

We tend to praise these highly edited images instead of seeing them for what they really are, which is fake.

No one can have perfect skin, a size 0 body and flawless features, though we fool ourselves into thinking that it’s achievable. When young girls see their role model on the cover of a magazine conforming to these images, they think they have to as well.

These ridiculous photos, when combined with other issues, can lead to low self-esteem, a poor body image and eating disorders like anorexia, all of which can be serious issues that can take years to battle and overcome.

The National Eating Disorder Information Centre is a non-profit organization that works to help people struggling with these issues and to spread knowledge on them.

The NEDIC launched a campaign urging fashion leaders and marketers to use models with all different body types for their photo shoots, and reduce the amount of retouching done in photos.

The petition and campaign were used to help women feel empowered and shed their poor self-image.

Sadly, even with the NEDIC’s campaign and support from other outlets, the fight to end the excessive use of Photoshop is a long way off.

Until then all we can do is remind ourselves that what we see is simply an illusion and not reality.

Hopefully, if more awareness is brought to light, we can stop this misuse of Photoshop for good.

He could be a potential client or investor for the future — or be able to connect you with someone that will be. Or maybe he has a hot sister you can bang. Boring people usually aren't boring at their core; they are simply introverted. Don't be shy; talking to someone new won't kill you.

We all have a comfort zone, but we don't all decide to stay within its bounds. In my opinion, a comfort zone is good for one thing and one thing only: knowing what needs to be done to leave it in order to start living. You already know what makes for a complacent, lethargic, comfortable life. Now do the exact opposite of that and you won't be so boring — or so bored.

Someone asked me earlier that why did man create God. If God created the universe, man didn't create God. Your question presumes that your belief is the absolute truth. I'm not saying anyone else has the absolute truth, but the question could of been written more accurately, perhaps
Why did man create religion?
Would be better. We can prove man made religion. But no one can prove or disprove the actual notion of God, so to presume that man created him means that you don't really want a 'correct' answer, you just want the opinion of other atheists who agree with you. Fine I suppose, but why not just join a group of atheist in discussion?
Lastly, if you actually research the creation of religion it had nothing to do with fear. Fear was cause by the religions sieving power and indoctrination everyone they could. Region and multiple God theories were created to explain the stars and other unexplainable physics at the time. If you have a large problem it's easy to anthropomorphism to view the problems in a workable manner. You can imagine you self as another person, so you can imagine yourself doing 'that' God's job, and start to appreciate the complexity of the world. In a time when people had so much technological advancement and civilized societies (more then most of today's countries at least.)

The Google logo slowly gained its stand when Larry Page and Sergey Brin from Stanford University decided to launch Google officially in 1998.

Ready Made Logos for Sale – Pros

They chose the Baskerville Bold font and a green “G.”

The logo was however very much short-lived and was changed very soon.

By the year 1999, the same logo was updated with Baskerville Bold typefaces like its predecessor, switching around of colours, and an exclamation.

Google had a brand new facelift with better and bolder icons, better colour schemes, and a 3D print that added some shadows and an exclamation mark, created by graphic designer Ruth Kedar.

The first attempt was made with Adobe Garamond as the typeface.

Kedar decided to focus on the O's of the logo by adding an infinite pattern and a target aspect to one O to hit the homepage.

The Logo from 1999 onwards

By the year 1999, Google was already a well-known Search Engine which was robust and comprised of various information as well.

It was already trying to position itself among the top 5 in the world.

The Google logo design went through some changes including concept logos in the year 1999.

This included the logo that was designed in the Catull typeface, which featured a stylised target as well as the logo that features the interlocked O's with an axis across them.

Kedar decided on the ITC Leawood and overlapping circles that symbolised target bonding to establish the intertwined and globally targeted nature of the business, but this logo was a little close to the Olympics logo.

Google then decided that the more straightforward form was better.

They decided to change the interlocked O's to more straightforward O's that was user-friendly and colourful which also resembles the Google logo of today.

This new logo was a significant facelift, and this logo prevailed in the company till the year 2010 as the company felt that adding too much of design and flair would be a little restrictive.

Kedar finally created the simple design which kept readability and professionalism intact.

There are various colour iterations.

The shading and the texture of the letters were done in a bland way making sure that it is in lifting it from the page while giving it both weight and lightness.

2010 – 2013 onwards – Google Logo Design

After a long prevailed seat in the industry, Google decided to do away with the delicate shading logo and also change the typeface into bolder and brightened colours for a bright and funky look.

This was a question from a member of liteIQ according to my research, Sneezing reflex is one of the most important automatic and involuntary defense mechanisms to safeguard us against the harmful invading foreign bodies including the microorganisms.

Let us explore, enumerate, and explain the real scientific beauty of sneezing reflex.

The reflex arch, which is responsible for every reflex action, consists of,

1. The afferent sensory component of sensory receptor, sensory organ, and sensory nerve.

2. Integrating and evaluating neuron cells in the central nervous system.

3. The motor neuron cells of the central nervous system, the efferent motor nerves, neuromuscular junction, and the effector's muscles.

When a foreign object falls into the nose, the cells of the nose act as receptors. produce action potential of the fifth cranial nerve, the sensory trigeminal nerve, which, in turn, conveys the message of the presence of the foreign object in the nose to the brainstem, thalamus, the sensory relay center, and the sensory Parietal Cortex of the brain.

The central evaluating neuron cells send an appropriate message to the corresponding muscles of the respiratory system including the diaphragm and abdominal muscles to blow the foreign object with extremely forceful wind energy (Vayu-Air Element).

This is the first line of defense mechanism or the normal physiological immune response.

If the first physiological response fails, the foreign object is washed out with the downpour of the saline effusion (Jal-Water Element) from the extracellular fluid surrounding the cells of the nose.

If the second physiological response fails, the body increases the body temperature to burn the foreign object with heat (Agni-Fire Element).

Please note that the first three defense responses are executed by the three fundamental phenomena of Nature.

If the third physiological response fails, the body recognizes the foreign object as harmful microorganism and orders neutrophil cells, the white blood cells, to engulf the foreign object.

If the fourth physiological response fails, the body orders monocytes, the bigger white blood cells, to engulf the foreign object.

If the fifth physiological response fails, the body orders eosinophils, the white blood cells, to neutralize the allergic reactions of the foreign object.

If the sixth physiological response fails, the body basophils, the white blood cells, to minimize the hypersensitivity reactions of the foreign object.

If the seventh physiological response fails, the body lymphocytes, the white blood cells, to produce cell-mediated immunity or the humoral immunity responses.

If this response also fails, the body orders the first layer of the adrenal cortex to produce mineralocorticoids to restore the water and sodium content of the body.

If the ninth physiological response also fails, the body orders the adrenal medulla to produce catecholamines to safeguard the body.

Can a simple case of nasal congestion and sneezing be the cause of Enlightenment?

I am certain that everyone will be surprised by an answer with scientific evidence.

I had been suffering from nasal congestion and sneezing since childhood and no one could cure the underlying cause.

In 1975, after training in General Surgery in Madras Medical College and Government General Hospital, Chennai, I decided to pursue Post Graduate studies in ENT Surgery.

The prime reason was to find the underlying cause of nasal congestion and sneezing.

During the course of three years of training and practice, almost every diagnostic and treatment technique was explored and experimented without producing any result.

As a result, I started exploring alternative medical systems, like, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, and natural healing. These systems reduced the symptoms and frequency.

Somehow, I could not figure out the real cause.

In 1991, I was initiated into the practice of Simplified Kundalini Yoga.

During the initiation, I experienced the activation, awakening, and ascension of a mysterious force called Kundalini from the upper abdomen to the forehead. This made me recognize the presence of Kundalini, Chakras, and Nadis within my physical body.

In 1995, I registered for Ph. D. with the University of Madras to find the objective basis of the subjective sensations associated with Kundalini Awakening and Kundalini Yoga.

After many years of research, I realized that the nasal congestion and sneezing are, in reality, the physiological, immune, and defense responses of the body and not pathological issues.

I acknowledge that I have been a conscientious student since childhood and my brain is highly intuitive and mathematical.

As a result, I have an unusual and exemplary academic record from primary school to the university.

It is also true that almost all the hundred billion neuron cells of my nervous system are fully active, alive, and integrated. As a result, I can produce a predominant and coherent alpha rhythm of 8 Hertz frequency throughout the brain with closed and open eyes.

The coherent alpha rhythm of 8 Hertz is a reflection of better supply to the brain.

The nasal congestion and sneezing are results of increased blood supply to the nose.

The above research findings are part of my Ph.D. Thesis, “Physiology of Kundalini Yoga – Power Spectrum Analysis of Electroencephalogram” presented to the University of Madras in 2001, and the Scientific Evaluation of Akhand Yoga.

You don’t need to marry 6 guys/ladies to have all these mates. One person can be all that for you. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. It contains markup tags used to describe, classify, and structure elements in an email/webpage. Browsers will read the coding and will render what we see.

Make sure you optimize HTML. This way you are ensuring that anyone can read your emails. Not following HTML best practices has the potential to make you look like a spammer to ISPs or subscribers.

To keep from being filtered or blocked:

Verify that your message is well-formed and easy to read.
Confirm that the codes in all emails do not have any missing or open tags.
Stay away from using a full URL link in the body of your emails.
Avoid using URL shorteners. If necessary, make a redirectlink under your own domain.
Avoid using comments in email headers. Bad grammar, certain words, and phrases can trigger spam filters.

HTML optimization Guidelines:

Custom alt text on images.
Most web browsers are able to display GIF and JPEG images.
Remember to include plain text versions of your emails.
Use hyperlinks and confirm that all links do go a valid domain. If the link points to a domain with a poor reputation, then the email will share that reputation.
Ads and affiliate links/images can cause issues because:

Random strings of letters and numbers can trigger spam filters.
The email shares its reputation with the domains in it.

When working with HTML, consider the different types of Cascading Style Sheets.

CSS describes the presentation/visuals of an email, webpage, etc. This includes colors, layouts, and fonts.
Enables the separation between content and presentation.

Additionally, image size should not exceed 30k and email size should be no larger than 100k. Gmail in particular will “clip” emails larger than 100k, potentially losing important information at the bottom of the email. Copying and pasting word-processing programs and websites may add extra formatting and should be avoided at all costs. Use a text editor instead of a word processor when coding emails from scratch. Always save your work as .txt (don’t save it as a .doc or .rtf).

Kathryn Johanna Kuhlman

Kathryn Johanna Kuhlman was born on May 9, 1907, in Concordia, Missouri. Her parents were German and she was one of four children. Her mother was a harsh disciplinarian, who showed little love or affection. On the other hand, she had an extremely close and loving relationship with her father. She would describe, as a small child how, her father would come home from work and she would hang on his leg and cling to him. She often said that her relationship with God the Father was extremely real because of her relationship with her own father.

Kuhlman was converted, when she was 14, at an evangelistic meeting held in a small Methodist church. When she was 16 she graduated from high school, which only went to tenth grade in their town. He older sister Myrtle had married an itinerant evangelist, Everett B. Parrott. They spent their time traveling and asked that Kathryn could join them for the summer. Her parents agreed and she went to Oregon to help out. She worked with them, and often gave her testimony. When the summer was over she wanted to stay, and the couple agreed. She ended up working with them for five years.

The evangelistic team was made up of four people, Everette, Myrtle, Kathryn, and pianists named Helen Gulliford. In 1928 Everette missed a meeting in Boise, Idaho. Myrtle and Kathryn preached to cover for Everette. The pastor of the church encouraged Kathryn to step out on her own. Helen agreed to join her. Her first sermon was in a run-down pool hall in Boise, Idaho. The team covered Idaho, Utah, and Colorado for the following five years. In 1933 they moved into Pueblo, Colorado. They set up in an abandoned Montgomery Ward warehouse. They stayed there for six months.

Denver, being a much bigger city, was the next stop. They moved several times but ended up in a paper company's warehouse, which they named the Kuhlman Revival Tabernacle. Then in 1935 they moved once more to an abandoned truck garage they named the Denver Revival Tabernacle. Kathryn was seeing a lot of success in Denver. The church grew to about 2000 members. She began a radio show called "Smiling Through" and invited speakers from all over the country. One of them was Phil Kerr who taught on divine healing. In 1935 another invited evangelist was Burroughs Waltrip.

Waltrip was bad news for Kuhlman. He was a charismatic, handsome man several years older than she was. There was an immediate attraction, and one family claims to have seen the couple embracing in 1935, but he was married and had two children. Waltrip left Denver and went home to Austin, Texas, but the relationship simmered between Kuhlman and Waltrip. In 1937 he was invited back to Denver to take the pulpit for two months. Shortly after he divorced his wife and abandoned his two sons. He then spread the story that his wife had left him. He moved to Mason City, Iowa, where he told everyone he was single, and started a new ministry. Waltrip raised pledges of $70,000 to build a ministry building called Radio Chapel. It was state of the art with a disappearing pulpit and an art deco style. He appeared to be a successful and dynamic preacher.

There was an ongoing relationship between Kuhlman and Waltrip, and they married in September 1938. Kuhlman was naive about the consequences of her choices and the marriage was a disaster. She announced to her church that she and Waltrip were married and they would go between Denver and Mason City preaching at their two churches. Most of the people in her congregation left due to her relationship with Waltrip. She gave up her church in Denver, lost some of her closest associates, and moved to Mason City. Waltrip's success turned out to be a pipe dream as well. The Radio Chapel was completed in June of 1938. By October 1938 Waltrip could not meet his debts. In December Waltrip was demanding a higher salary, even with the shortfall in income. His Board of Directors quit and left him to deal with the finances. His solution was not to pay the mortgage or debts on the Chapel. Radio Chapel went into bankruptcy. Waltrip's last sermon was in May 1939. The Waltrips were on their own. Kathryn's happy vision of she and her husband flying back and forth between Denver and Mason City with a successful preaching careers was utterly demolished.

The next few years were very hard for the couple. They embarked on the road as traveling evangelists, primarily staying in the Midwest. They were not accepted in many places due to their marriage history. Initial advertisements listed Waltrip as the primary evangelist. Then occasionally Mrs. Waltrip was also mentioned. By the early 1940s Kathryn Kuhlman Waltrip was given equal billing. Finally by the mid-1940s Kathryn was using only Kathryn Kuhlman in meetings where she was the primary speaker. In 1944 Kuhlman went on an evangelistic tour on the east coast without Waltrip. It may have been a conscious decision to leave him, or she may also have taken the opportunity to reassess her life. It appears to have been more gradual as Waltrip wrote about them as a couple as late as 1946. Kuhlman never returned to Waltrip and they eventually divorced in 1947. She left her marriage behind and from then on acted as if it never existed in the first place.

In 1946 Kuhlman was asked to speak in Franklin, Pennsylvania. She was well received and decided to stay in the area. Kuhlman began preaching on radio broadcasts in Oil City, Pennsylvania. These became so popular they were picked up in Pittsburgh, and she was preaching throughout the area. She began to preach about the healing power of God. In 1947 a woman was healed of a tumor while listening to Kuhlman preach. Several Sundays later a man was also healed while she was teaching on the Holy Spirit. She was now convinced of God's healing work. One important thing to note is the context and timing of this breakout period in Kuhlman's life. 1947 was the beginning of the Healing Revival (sometimes referred to as the Latter Rain Revival) that would last for the next 10 years. What was happening in Kuhlman's meetings was breaking out across the United States. It was in this time frame that the Voice of Healing Ministry was established and men like William Branham, Oral Roberts, A.A. Allen and many others were propelled onto the public stage. Kuhlman was not associated with those groups, but stepped into the flow of what God's Spirit was doing across the nation and the world.

In 1948 Kuhlman held a series of meetings at Carnegie Hall in Pittsburgh. She eventually moved to Pittsburgh in 1950, and continued to hold meetings at Carnegie Hall until 1971. She was used by God to bring the charismatic message to many denominational churches, including the Catholic Church. (She received a lot of criticism over this and was accused of being a closet Catholic.) These were her best known years. Her style was flamboyant. She would hold her famous miracle services and the auditorium was filled to capacity every time. She was on radio and television shows. She was ordained in 1968 by the Evangelical Church Alliance. Hundreds of people were healed in her meetings, and even while listening to her on the radio or television. People she prayed for would often be hit with the power of God and be "slain in the Spirit." Kuhlman never claimed that she was the healer. She always pointed people to Jesus as their healer.

Kuhlman had been diagnosed with a heart problem in 1955. She kept a very busy schedule and overworked herself, especially in the 1970's. She traveled back and forth from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles frequently, as well as taking trips around the world. Her heart was enlarged and Kuhlman died on February 20, 1976, in Tulsa, following open-heart surgery. Videos of some of her services are still available and continue to be popular today.
