But this year, I say pass. Only because my husband is gone in WY working in the oil fields on Valentine's Day. So while the rest of you are out on romantic dates or getting engaged or snuggling up to a good romantic comedy, I'll be curled up with a chick flick and Diet Coke.

I've said it before: I'm not a fan of watching football. Or any sport, really. Except soccer. I can watch soccer. Live. Not on t.v.

However, I am a fan of getting together, no matter the reason, and eating some great food. So I am rounding up foods I've made that would be great for the Super Bowl.

Otherwise there's gonna be a world of hurt come spring for that stuff we buy that comes from farms...what's the word...FOOD. The name really says it all.

Made with lemon pudding, this comes out of the oven so warm and oozing with pudding. Sort of like a molten lava cake. Only this is a regular sized cake with the pudding coming out the bottom of the cake.

Simply luscious.

1 pkg yellow cake mix (I used Betty Crocker, get the kind that makes a 9x13 size)

Ingredients called for on back of cake box

Football time. Not a big fan. At all, really. I cheer for Packers because my brothers love them and for Patriots since that's who my husband cheers for, generally. But I just don't care about it.

But because lots of you out there do care (or pretend to just to throw parties with awesome food), I'm featuring some recipes that would make awesome party food.

I'm back! I had a wonderful vacation over Christmas with my family. We took the kids to Disneyland, Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld. We loved it and I completely miss the warm weather. I told Lance that if he dies first, I am relocating to the warmer climate for winters. So legit. I missed the blogging world, as I don't have internet on my phone (gasp!) so I was out of the

Tex-Mex Bake

I was going through my Gooseberry Patch Homestyle Favorites cookbook when I came across this recipe. As I looked to see whose recipe it was, I was surprised to see the name Jenny Flake! Not really surprised, because she's that awesome, but you know what I mean. Jenny is the Jenny from Picky Palate. I adore that girl and her site. Jello is alright on it's own, but anytime I make it I jazz it up. I will sometimes just make it according to the package directions and pour it into little Tupperware containers for the kids as an after school snack. Even then I usually put some fruit in it like mandarin oranges or fruit cocktail. With whipped cream on top. See? That's not even basic Jello. I just can't do it.

I am in love with this treat. I created it and it's fantastic. If you don't like the flavor of Eggnog (rum), then you can can use milk instead of the eggnog and vanilla extract (or other flavor) in place of the rum extract. The great thing about this recipe (other than the frosting) is that it uses Rhodes frozen bread dough.
