1 Billion $ worth Family Home : the Antilia House-Ambani

MOST EXPENSIVE HOUSE IN THE WORLD – ANTILIA

Mukesh Ambani's $1 billion home is located in Mumbai, India and is called the Antilia house.

Antilia is named after the mythical island in the Atlantic. The construction is inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

The $1 billion family home built for the world's forth richest man Mukesh Ambani, his wife and three children, is said to be the greenest of all buildings. Ambani family has employed a staff of 600 to tend to the home.

According to Inhabitat the Antilia is "boasting 27 stories at 568 feet high, with a total area of over 398,000 square feet of living space. The building, which has taken nearly three years to complete, hosts 27-stories, which are far from modest.

Antilla, has consumed electricity worth Rs. 70,69,488 in the one month since Mukesh Ambani moved in with wife Nita and their three children. It is the Mumbai's highest residential electricity bill generated till date.

The home contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, a swimming pool, a ballroom, guestrooms, a variety of lounges, and a 50-seater cinema. Three helicopter pads have been installed on the roof, and a car park for 160 vehicles sits on the ground floor.

Each floor are designed with various materials so as to bring a different look

Lounges, fine rugs, chandeliers and mirrors can be seen at any room.

The most striking features of the Antilla which caught my eye is probably the ballroom which has crystal chandeliers that take up approximately 80% of the ceiling.

It has silver stairways that lead to a central landing, behind which two retractable doors can open to display works of art.

DINNING ROOM

There is also a stage for entertainment or speeches, with a projection screen behind it.

A kitchen, about the same size as the ballroom itself, can service hundreds of guests, an Olympic-size swimming pool and a four-storey open garden.

Other floors have gyms and glass-fronted apartments for guests.

The two floors above the family's residence have been set aside as maintenance areas and for an "air space floor" capable of accommodating three helicopters.

பெட்ரோல் விலை நிர்ணயம் மறைக்கப்படும் மர்மங்கள்

பெட்ரோல் உள்ளிட்ட எரிபொருட்களின் விலை குபீர், குபீர் என உயர்ந்து கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. அப்படியென்றால் உலக மார்க் கெட்டில் கச்சா எண்ணெய்யின் விலை எப்போதும் இல்லாத அளவிற்கு தற்போது உயர்ந்திருக்கிறதா என்று பார்த்தால், அதுவும் இல்லை.

2008ம் ஆண்டில் ஒரு பீப்பாய் கச்சா எண் ணெய்யின் விலை 135 டாலர் வரை சென்றது. அப்போது ஒரு லிட்டர் பெட்ரோலின் விலை ரூ. 54 ஆகத்தான் இருந்தது. தற்போது (5.11.11) ஒரு பீப்பாயின் விலை 108 டாலர். அதாவது 158.99 லிட்டர் கச்சா எண்ணெய் விலை ரூ. 5 ஆயிரத்து 292 ஆகும். இன்னும் சுருக்கமாக சொல்வதென்றால், ஒரு லிட்டர் கச்சா எண்ணெய் ரூ.33.28 தான். ஆனால் நாம் வாங்கும் ஒரு லிட்டர் பெட்ரோலின் விலை ரூ. 72.68 பைசா. ஏன் இந்த மலைக்கும் மடுவுக்குமான வித்தியாசம்?

எப்படி விலை நிர்ணயிக்கப்படுகிறது?

பெட்ரோலை உற்பத்தி செய்ய 90 சத விகிதம் கச்சா எண்ணெய்யும், 10 சதவிகிதம் உள்நாட்டில் தயாராகும் பொருட்களும் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. ஒரு லிட்டர் பெட்ரோல் உற்பத்திக்கு, கச்சா எண்ணெய்க்கும் சேர்த்து ஆகும் செலவு 2008- 09 ம் ஆண்டு புள்ளி விபரப்படி ரூ 26.11 ஆகும். 2009- 10ம் ஆண்டு ரூ. 21.75 என்று அரசின் புள்ளி விபரங்களே உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறது. ஆனால் மத்தியஅரசு எப்படியெல்லாம் வரியை கூட்ட முடியுமோ அப்படி கூட்டி, பெட்ரோலின் விலையை உயர்த்துகிறது. ஒரு லிட்டர் பெட்ரோல் விலையில் அடங்கியுள்ள வரியினங்கள் வருமாறு (24.8.2011)

மொத்தம்    -    ரூ. 60.72

இப்படித்தான் தோட்டத்தில் பாதி கிணறு என்பது போல் பெட்ரோல் விலையில் பாதிக் கும் மேல் வரி இனங்களாக வசூலிக்கப்படுகின்றன. இது தவிர எண்ணெய் நிறுவனங் களின் கொள்ளை லாப கணக்கே... தனி.

அரசுக்கு நஷ்டமா?

பெட்ரோலியத்துறை அமைச்சகம் நாடாளுமன்ற நிலைக்குழுவுக்கு கொடுத்துள்ள அறிக்கையின்படி 2004 - 05ம் ஆண்டில் பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்களின் விற்பனை மூலம் மத்திய அரசுக்கு கிடைத்த வரி வருமானம் 77 ஆயிரத்து 692 கோடி ரூபாய், சுங்கவரி மூலம் ரூ. 15 ஆயிரம் 483 கோடி ஆகும். மாநில அரசு களுக்கு கிடைத்த வரி வருமானம் 43,254 கோடி ரூபாய்.

இதே போல் 2006- 07 முதல் 2009 -10ம் நிதியாண்டு வரை பெட்ரோலியப் பொருட்களின் வரி முலம் மத்திய அரசுக்கு கிடைத் திருக்கும் வருவாய் ரூ.4 லட்சத்து 10 ஆயிரத்து 842 கோடி ஆகும். மாநில அரசுகளுக்கு கிடைத்திருக்கும் வருவாய் ரூ.2லட்சத்து 63 ஆயிரத்து 766 கோடி. ஆனால் இதே காலத்தில் பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்களுக்கு அரசு வழங்கியிருக்கும் மானியம் ரூ. 23 ஆயிரத்து 325 கோடி மட்டுமே. ஆக பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்களின் மூலம் மத்திய-மாநில அரசுகளுக்கு கிடைக்கும் லாபத்தில் இருந்து வெறும் 3.45 சதவிகிதம்தான் மானியமாக வழங்கப்படுகிறது. எப்படி பார்த்தாலும் அரசுக்கு வருவாயே தவிர எவ்வித நஷ்டமும் இல்லை என்பதுதான் உண்மை.

எண்ணெய் நிறுவனங்கள் நஷ்டமடைகின்றனவா?

பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங் மற்றும் மத்திய அமைச்சர்கள், எண்ணெய் நிறுவனங்கள் பெரும் நஷ்டத்தை சந்தித்து வருகின்றன என வாய் வலிக்காமல் கூறிவருகின்றனர். அப்படி என்னதான் நஷ்டம் அடைகின்றன. அதன் விபரத்தை கீழ்க்காணும் பட்டியலில் பார்த்தாலே மன்மோகன், மாண்டேக்சிங் அலுவாலியா வகையறாவின் வருத்தம் புரியும்.

2008ம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியன் ஆயில் கார்ப்பரேஷன் நிறுவனத்தின் நிகரலாபம் ரூ.6962.58 கோடி, 2009 ல் ரூ. 2,949.55 கோடி, 2010 ல் ரூ. 10,220.55 கோடி. இதில் இன்னும் கவனமாக பார்த்தால் பெட்ரோலிய பொருட் களின் விலை நிர்ணயிக்கும் உரிமை அரசின் கையில் இருந்த வரை அடைந்திருக்கும் லாபத்தை விட எண்ணெய் நிறுவனங்களே விலையை நிர்ணயம் செய்யத் துவங்கிய பின்பு அடைந்திருக்கும் லாபம் அதிகம். 2010- 11 ன் இரண்டாம் காலாண்டில் மட்டும் ( 2010 ஆகஸ்ட், செப்டம்பர், அக்டோபர், நவம்பர் மாதங்களில் ) எண்ணெய் நிறுவனங்கள் ஈட்டிய லாபத்தை பார்ப்போம்.

உண்மை நிலை இவ்வாறிருக்க, எந்த அடிப்படையில் காங்கிரஸ், திமுக தலைமையிலான ஆட்சியாளர்கள் எண்ணெய் நிறுவனங்களுக்கு நஷ்டம் என கூறுகின்றனர் எனத் தெரியவில்லை. அதாவது லாபத்தின் இலக்கில் சிறிய குறைவு ஏற்பட்டாலும் அதனை மத்திய அரசு அவர்களுக்கான நஷ்டமாக பார்க்கிறது என்பது மட்டும் தெளிவாக புரிகிறது.

ஏற்றுமதிக்கு ஏன் வரி விலக்கு ?

2010- 11 ம் நிதியாண்டில் இந்தியாவில் இருந்து 2 லட்சத்து 90 ஆயிரத்து 781 கோடி ரூபாய்க்கு பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்கள் ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கிறது என்று ரிசர்வ் வங்கி வெளியிட்டுள்ள புள்ளி விபரத்தில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

இந்தியாவின் பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்கள் தேவையில் 79 சதவிகிதம் இறக்குமதியை சார்ந்தே இருக்கிறது. அப்படி இருக்கையில் ஏன் இங்கிருந்து மற்ற நாடுகளுக்கு எரி பொருட்களை ஏற்றுமதி செய்ய வேண்டும்?. இந்தியாவின் கச்சா எண்ணெய் சுத்திகரிக்கும் பணியை அரசு நிறுவனங்களே 74 சத விகிதம் செய்கிறது. மீதமுள்ள 26 சதவிகித சுத்திகரிப்பு பணியை ரிலையன்ஸ் நிறுவனம் செய்து வருகிறது. அப்படி சுத்திகரிப்பு செய்யும் பெட்ரோலியப் பொருட்களை ரிலையன்ஸ் நிறுவனம் 59 சதவிகிதத்தை ஏற்றுமதி செய்கிறது. இந்தியாவிலேயே பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்களுக்கு நல்ல லாபம் கிடைக்கும் போது ஏன் ஏற்றுமதி செய்ய வேண்டும்? அதற்கும் காரணம் இருக்கிறது. பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்களின் ஏற்றுமதிக்கு மத்திய அரசு பல்வேறு சுங்க வரி சலுகைகளை அளித்திருக்கிறது. அத னையும் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக ரிலையன்ஸ் நிறுவனமே அமுக்க வேண்டும் என்ற மத்திய அரசின் "நல்லெண்ணமே" இதற்கு காரணம்.

இதனை கண்டறிந்த நாடாளுமன்ற நிலைக்குழு, "சர்வதேசச் சந்தையில் பெட்ரோலியப் பொருட்களுக்கு நல்ல விலை கிடைப்பதால், விற்பனையின் மூலம் கிடைக்கும் இலாபமே போதுமானது; ஏற்றுமதியை ஊக்குவிக்கத் தனியாக வரிச்சலுகைகளை அளிக்க வேண்டியதில்லை. இந்த வரிச் சலுகைகளை நீக்குவதால் கிடைக்கும் வருமானத்தை, உள்நாட்டு மக்கள் பலன் அடையும்படி, பெட்ரோலியப் பொருட்களின் விலையைக் குறைக்கப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்" எனப் பரிந்துரை செய்தது. ஆனால் மன்மோகன் அரசு, அதெல்லாம் முடியவே முடியாது என்று கூறிவிட்டது.

அதே நேரம் இதே மன்மோகன்சிங்,ஏழைகள் பயன்படுத்தும் மண்ணெண்ணெய்க்கும், சமையல்எரிவாயுவிற்கும் வழங்கப்படும் மானியத்தை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என தொடர்ந்து கூறி வருகிறார். இதுதான் மன் மோகன் வகையறாவின் வர்க்கப்பாசம் என்பது.

இது யாருக்கான அரசு?

எப்போது பார்த்தாலும் விவசாயத்திற்கு அளிக்கும் மானியத்தை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும். ரேசன் பொருட்களுக்கு அளிக்கும் மானியத்தை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும். பெட்ரோலிய பொருட்களுக்கு அளிக்கும் மானியத்தை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும். மின்சாரதிற்கு அளிக்கும் மானியத்தை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என சாதராண மக்களுக்கு கிடைக்கும் ஒரு சில சலுகைகளையும் வெட்டுவதிலேயே மத்திய காங்கிரஸ் அரசு குறியாக இருந்து வருகிறது.

ஆனால் மறுபுறம், நாட்டின் பெரும் முதலாளிகளுக்கும், கார்ப்பரேட் நிறுவனங்களுக்கும் சலுகைகளை வாரி வழங்கி வருகிறது. 2008 முதல் 2010 ம் ஆண்டு வரை பெரும் நிறுவனங்களிடம் இருந்து அரசு வசூலிக்க வேண்டிய ரூ. 9 லட்சத்து 16 ஆயிரம் கோடியை அப்படியே விட்டுவிட்டனர். உலகப் பொருளாதார மந்தத்திலிருந்து கார்ப்பரேட் நிறுவனங்களை ஊக்குவிக்கிறோம் என்று கூறி, 2008-09ஆம் ஆண்டில் 66 ஆயிரத்து 901 கோடி ரூபாயும், 2009-10ஆம் ஆண்டில் 79 ஆயிரத்து 554 கோடி ரூபாயும் நேரடி வரிகளில் சலுகைகள் அளிக்கப்பட்டது. இதே போன்று மிக உயர்ந்த அளவில் வருமானவரி செலுத்துவோருக்கு, 37 ஆயிரத்து 570 கோடி ரூபாயும், 40 ஆயிரத்து 929 கோடி ரூபாயும் முறையே வரிச்சலுகைகள் அளிக்கப்பட்டி ருக்கிறது. இவ்வாறு இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் பணக்காரர்களுக்கு சுமார் 2 லட்சத்து 25 ஆயிரம் கோடி ரூபாய் அளவிற்கு சலுகைகள் அளித்திருக்கிறது.

ஒட்டுமொத்தத்தில் தாராளமயம், தனியார்மயம், உலகமயம் என்ற பெயரில் ஏழைகளை மேலும் ஏழைகளாக்குவது, பணக்காரர்களை மேலும் பணக்காரர்களாக்குவது என்று இந்திய சமூகத்தில் மிகப்பெரிய ஏற்றத் தாழ்வை மத்திய அரசே உருவாக்கி வருகிறது. ஆக, மத்திய ஆட்சியாளர்கள் பின்பற்றும் உலகமயக் கொள்கையையும் எதிர்த்து முறியடித்தால் மட்டுமே சாதாரண,நடுத்தர, உழைப்பாளி மக்கள் வாழ்ந்திட முடியும்.

"Unconditional Love"

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.

"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."

"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."

"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide.

The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully, there's someone who won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

What can I do to keep my eyes healthy ?

Daily Care

- Sleep enough hours to wake up happy and rested.
- Do not abuse alcohol. Drink it with moderation.
- Do not smoke and do not end up in places with lots of smoke.
- Make a minimum of physical activity.
- Rinse your face with cool water and lightly wet your eyes.
- Drink water.
- Eat healthy food. Focus on fruits and vegetables as well as
foods that are rich in fiber.
- Avoid exposing your eyes too long to the sunshine rays. Do not look at the sun without sunglasses with UV filters. Sometimes, even in the absence of sunshine, it is necessary to protect the eyes.
- Avoid rubbing your eyes too vigorously or touch the eyes without hands clean and dry.
- Suspend the use of a cosmetic product if it is causing irritation. If a problem persists, see your ophthalmologist.
- Do not fix your computer for more than 45 consecutive minutes. Take breaks and set off. Stay too long before a computer monitor or TV can lead to symptoms of discomfort.
- Maintain a reasonable distance between our eyes and the computer screen. (about 70cm)
- Make sure you have good lighting in the room where the computer is. Try to avoid shadows on the screen.

Before starting investigation or prosecution in any case, they have to take permission from the same bosses, against whom the case has to be investigated.

Lokpal at centre and Lokayukta at state level will be independent bodies. ACB and CBI will be merged into these bodies. They will have power to initiate investigations and prosecution against any officer or politician without needing anyone's permission. Investigation should be completed within 1 year and trial to get over in next 1 year. Within two years, the corrupt should go to jail.

No corrupt officer is dismissed from the job because Central Vigilance Commission, which is supposed to dismiss corrupt officers, is only an advisory body. Whenever it advises government to dismiss any senior corrupt officer, its advice is never implemented.

Lokpal and Lokayukta will have complete powers to order dismissal of a corrupt officer. CVC and all departmental vigilance will be merged into Lokpal and state vigilance will be merged into Lokayukta.

No action is taken against corrupt judges because permission is required from the Chief Justice of India to even register an FIR against corrupt judges.

Lokpal & Lokayukta shall have powers to investigate and prosecute any judge without needing anyone's permission.

Nowhere to go - People expose corruption but no action is taken on their complaints.

Lokpal & Lokayukta will have to enquire into and hear every complaint.

There is so much corruption within CBI and vigilance departments. Their functioning is so secret that it encourages corruption within these agencies.

All investigations in Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be transparent. After completion of investigation, all case records shall be open to public. Complaint against any staff of Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be enquired and punishment announced within two months.

Weak and corrupt people are appointed as heads of anti-corruption agencies.

Politicians will have absolutely no say in selections of Chairperson and members of Lokpal & Lokayukta. Selections will take place through a transparent and public participatory process.

Citizens face harassment in government offices. Sometimes they are forced to pay bribes. One can only complaint to senior officers. No action is taken on complaints because senior officers also get their cut.

Lokpal & Lokayukta will get public grievances resolved in time bound manner, impose a penalty of Rs 250 per day of delay to be deducted from the salary of guilty officer and award that amount as compensation to the aggrieved citizen.

Nothing in law to recover ill gotten wealth. A corrupt person can come out of jail and enjoy that money.

Loss caused to the government due to corruption will be recovered from all accused.

Small punishment for corruption- Punishment for corruption is minimum 6 months and maximum 7 years.

Enhanced punishment - The punishment would be minimum 5 years and maximum of life imprisonment.

8. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time? The first thing he is asking for is: the govt should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed. Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the LOK PAL BILL. 50% government participation and 50% public participation. Bcoz u can't trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.

9.What will happen when this bill is passed?

A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. Talk about a collapsed market!

YES, IT'S An ENTIRE
13-STORY BUILDING IN CHINA LYING ON THE GROUND.

(1) An
underground garage was being dug on the south
side of the building,
to a depth of 4.6 meters (15 ft).

(2) The excavated dirt was being piled up on the north
side of the
building, to a height of 10 meters (32 ft).

(3) They dug right
up to the base of the building.
Then the rains came.

(4)
The building experienced uneven lateral pressure
from north to
south.

(5) This resulted in a lateral pressure of 3,000
tonnes,
which was greater than what the un-reinforced pilings
could tolerate. Thus, the building toppled completely
over in a
southerly direction.

apartment building was constructed.*

Then the plan
called for an underground garage to be dug out.
The excavated soil
was piled up on the other side of the building.

*Heavy rains resulted in water seeping into the
ground.*

The building began to tilt. Then it began to shift, and the

"hollow" concrete pilings were snapped due to the uneven

lateral pressures.

And thus was
born the eighth wonder of the world.

buildings were closer together,
it would have resulted in a domino
effect.
