Solitary beach'Suryalenka

Its a very beautiful beach, near Vijayawada. We travelled in train from Hyderabad. Before Vijayawada Station, a place called Baptla ll come. From there we went to our AP tourism resort Suryalenka.Haritha accommodation was OK and not bad.Except rest room other facility are good. Food is good during lunch and dinner. Complimentary breakfast given by Haritha Resort. New deluxe rooms are good and see facing. You can enjoy sitting at house.Staff of Haritha resort are good and cooperative.Best part is they understand hindi and some extent of English.Enjoy sunrise at the beach.

Apart from the Suryalanka Beach, the main attraction and the Bhavannarayana Swami Temple built by the Cholas in 465 AD, there is no other notable place to see in Bapatla. It is the beach that attracts most number of people.
When Ellie and Gopal were 5 and 3years respectively, we went there. Now kids are grown up, what ll be planned, according to their study routine..

Siliguri to Shantiniketan

From childhood, I heard about Shantiniketan, built by Robi Thakur. The most peaceful place, The great VisvaBharati University, where Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Satyajit Ray, Noble laureate Amartya Sen .. So many learned personality studied there. The authentic Bengali cuisine at Amar Kutir is mouth watering, still attracting many tourists.
Different departments of culture, Museum of Bangladesh department of art and architecture, dance & music make the place more attractive.
The childhood home of Robi Thakur, a huge Bengali zamindar house,tal ghor where screw pine jaggery prepared. I like his house, which he makes according to his choice.. Though 2 storey building, but back of that a small thatched hut or Kutir where he spent most of his times.
Like Govt. Crafts shop Amar Kutir, there is a leather factory.
Last but least, I enjoyed my evening at Khoaii mela, with the local bolpur sarees and crafts and evening cultural programmes of Baul, Rabindra Sangeet and dance..
Very soon coming with new place...

Trip to Sikkim

Our Travel agent gave us two options for this summer holidays. One is Bhutan and other is Gangtok. As we ve no interest for snow, we rejected Gangtok option. But when Asim described about North Sikkim. The valley of flowers, Himalayan Valleys and falls,Nathula pass and China gate along with Gangtok.

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.
On 20th'April'19 we took flight from Hyderabad to Bagdogra, the nearest airport to Gangtok. I opined, that to see only Gangtok and in around, a tourist can easily roam the city with sightseeing. But for whole Sikkim, u must need to go through a package.

After travel agent sent cab for pick up from airport. After launch in Siliguri, we started our journey to Gangtok. By evening(4 hrs.) journey, we reached our hotel in Gangtok. After refreshment, we went for a walk to see near local Market. Unfortunately the shops closed soon. It is their rule to close shops by 8 to 8. 30 p. M. But we ate hot momos from the street. As we ve to be ready for North Sikkim by tomorrow morning, after dinner we went to bed.
21st morning, our journey started towards North., the city Lanchung, which is 6hrs journey.
Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It's divided by the Lachung River. The village is home to the 19th-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, surrounded by apple orchards. Nearby, the Yumthang Valley's Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary protects many species of rhododendron. The valley is also known for its waterfalls, pine forests and hot springs.
The hotel we were staying is very cozy rooms. From all windows u can see the spectacular view of Himalayan snow valley.
Following my usual habits, I moved out of hotel rooms in search of some hot food. Chilled breeze with little snow fall I walked out to the village Street. But to my surprise, besides our hotel,I found a cottage.. Where socks, woollen caps jacket gum boot grocery, vegetables.. everything need for chilled climate are available. I'll never forget the warm welcome of Mr & Mrs. Bhutia. Very nice couple. Just feeling like home I sat on the cozy bench covered with woollen carpet. Slowly I realised they sell hot Maggi, omelette.. Tea etc. I ordered 3 hot Maggie for me and kids and omelette for my husband. My son said that "uncle ur Maggie recipe is tooo good. I ll come for dinner. True. He prepared in a way with slice onion and tomato, it was really tasty.
On 22nd morning.. After light breakfast we went to yumthang valley. It is called as valley of flowers. After finishing all in and around places of North Sikkim, we returned towards Gangtok. There are so many dhaba on roadside villages. They prepared traditional Sikkimise food like veg and chicken thupka,a hot veggi soup type of meal.They also habituated with, rice, dal, cabbage, all vegetables and mostly chicken and egg.. We reached Gangtok before evening. And no mood for go anywhere.. only to take rest.
On 23rd morning we started for changu Lake, Nathula pass and China gate.. All are full of snows.. But the big the Buddhist learning centre and museum were mostly liked by us. Most tourist visit Flowers exhibition and buy seeds of beautiful wild flowers, which can grow in humid area but with care. I'm not the exceptional... Ha ha.. 5.The Naval Aviation Museum is a military museum located in Bogmalo, 6 km from Vasco da Gama, Goa, India. This museum contains exhibits that showcase the evolution of the Indian Naval Air Arm over decades.

6.Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the border of the Indian state of Goa and Karnataka.

But Goa's real fun is for water lover.White, flushing waves and a blue sea in front of you- that is all that you need to relax on your vacation. Try out the various water sports such as para sailing, banana boat ride, water skiing and a lot more on these waters.
There are numerous water sports operators in Baga, Calangute, Benaulim and Colva beaches.
One of these sports operator arranged our day trip to the Grande Island one of beautiful island of Arabian sea.It is 8 k.m from Bogalam beach.They took us through their boat with chairs , big umbrellas, snacks, drinks , all accessories for scuba diving and necessary things for cooking .We were there sailing, scuba diving..They prepared there hot Biriyani, cuchumber and marinated tandoor prawn.At 5. P.m we returned.
Then another full day trip to panaji, Goa's capital. Science park, Cruise, shopping and dine.
Before going to end my trip , I must share my surprise with u all. While roaming in beach My husband stopped us near a 6 seater table.. beautifully decorated with flowers and candles..when we aĺl took our seats, dressed with Goanese costume 2 young boys and girls surrounded us with their guitars and started to sing konkani song. Though we could not understand their language, but the but of rythym and harmony made the experience more and more exotic.After that a delicious dinner served before us.In the slide show I conclude it with para sailing.. That also very exciting and adventurous for me..
With a promise to meet u with another exotic place, I must say Bye to u...

When My mother visited Agra during her college excursion,She narrated her trip and the beauty of Agra fort and TajMahal.I always excited when the day come and I will be there.First I visited Agra when i was in XI class with Maa.That time also not much restriction was there.I went to the underground area where the original Kabar of Emperor Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal graved.Architectural and sculptural designs are still attract billions of tourists to Agra.Unfortunately I could not show my kids the beauty of Seesh Mahal and the original Graveyard of Shahjahan and Mumtaj Mahal.But My daughter became happy to see the fplace in Agra fort where At old age,Shajahan used to sit and watch TajMahal and remembred his beloved wife Mumtaj .

Ladakh is the highest plateau of the Indian state of Kashmir with much of it being over 3,000m. It lies between 32 to 36 degree north latitude and 75 to 80 degree east longitude. The total area of 45110sq km makes Ladakh the largest district in India. Ladakh region is bifurcated in Kargil and Leh districts. Kargil lies at an altitude of 2750m and Leh at 3505m. The largest town in Ladakh is Leh.

Ladakh is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and culture. It spans the Great Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges and the upper Indus River Valley. The district bordered Pakistan occupied Kashmir in the west and China in the north and Eastern part and Lahul Spiti of Himachal Pradesh in the South east. Ladakh’s ethnic composition consisted of Mongoloid and a mixed Indo-Aryan population of Mons and Dards. It is sometimes called little Tibet due to strong cultural and geographical similarities with Tibet. The approach to Ladakh is invariably marked with many long walls running 2-3 kms, decorated with engraved stones bearing the mantra “Om Mani Padme Hun” and Chortens which symbolizes Buddha’s mind. My reader can understand where is Heaven Of Earth.Yes.It is none other than Kashmir.Kashmir is known as one the most beautiful places in India where time stands still. Water, in all or any forms, is one of Kashmir's charms like rivers, lakes, springs, make music all over the valley.The alluring and majestic sweeps of forested mountains are tempered with miles of flowering meadows.
It has many breathtaking and attracting places that is beyond imagination. In this beautiful land, fruits grow in abundance: apple, cherry, peach, pear, plum, loquat, almond, walnut and pine nut. I divided my post into 7 episodes.......

To start the journey from Hyderabad the best way to take 2 connecting flight to Srinagar.One from Hyderabad to Delhi and another is from Delhi to Srinagar.
Like every tour I did a thorough research about Kashmir.Finally I decided to go for home stay.Its like from home away from home with all comforts.So from Net I found JH Bajaj cottage.Very cozy, neat and luxurious.Both Mr. Bajaj and his son Sarover Bzaz and their driver Wasim (Raja Hindusthani)all are very friendly persons.
Very warmly welcome with Kashmiri Kawa.Then after a palatable launch of Kashmir pulao, Dum aloo,Wajwan for my Hubby and son, we took rest in our cozy rooms.

Me and my friend Nandita decided to go for a weekend trip during this Pongal holidays.She suggested for Bhadrachalam temple.According to legends,during the 14 years of banabasa(forest staying), Lord Rama,Laxam, and Devi Sita lived in this place. In memory, the sacred temple built.Before going to any place,I always do a thorough research about that place, distance,Hotels....and so many other things.

As usual I'm with my laptop and searched ,how to reach there, I was fascinated with the scenic view of Papi hills,Papikondalu Bamboo hut for night staying etc.Kids definitely enjoy swimming in Godavari,Night stay besides Godavari river and papi hills must be exciting and adventurous .Keeping everything in mind I called to Telengana tourism,and they tell about their Bhadrachalam and papikondalu package @3,800.So both the friends decide to go with them. Everything their headache ,we only enjoy with family and kids.

BHADRACHALAM : 332 km from Hyderabad, is a temple town on the banks of the river Godavari devoted to Lord Rama. The temple is set on a scenic hillock with a spectacular view of the Godavari flowing nearby . It comes high on the priority list of pilgrims, as the sacred abode of Sitaramachandra Swamy.

In sept. 2002,my husband joined Oracle,Bangalore.We were newly married. my husband planned a
trip to Kodaikenal,which is a overnight journey from Bangalore.

Kodaikanal has several scenic natural attractions which are enjoyed by its visitors and make it a popular romantic destination for newlyweds.

Kodaikanal Lake built in 1863. It is recognized as Kodaikanal's most popular geographic landmark and tourist attraction. Rowboats and pedalos can be hired at the Kodaikanal Boat Club with its main entrance near the only five-star hotel in Kodaikanal, The Carlton. Horses and bicycles can be hired beside the lake for short periods.
Bryant Park: Just east of the lake is a wonderfully maintained botanical garden. The park was planned and built in 1908 by a forest officer from Madurai, H.D.Bryant, and named after him. With 325 species of trees, shrubs and cactuses, the park is a rainbow of stunning flowers during the peak season. A large section is dedicated to nearly 740 varieties of roses. There is a 1857 Eucalyptus tree and a Bodhi tree which adds a religious significance to the park. Ornamental plants are cultivated in a nursery for sale. The park organizes horticultural exhibits and flower shows every summer, to coincide with the peak season.
Coaker's Walk, winding around Mount Nebo, starts in front of the Van Allen hospital, running parallel to the Van Allen Hospital Road and joins the main road beside St.Peter's Church, providing a stunning panoramic view of the plains. On a clear day one can view as far as Dolphin's Nose in the south, the valley of the Pambar River in the southeast, Periyakulam town and even the city of Madurai. A fascinating rare phenomenon called Brocken spectre can be witnessed,
Green Valley View, (formerly called Suicide Point) near the golf course, has an excellent panoramic view of the plains and a sheer drop of overlooking the Vaigai Dam to the south. The stairway leading up to it is highly commercialized and lined with rows of shops to tempt tourists.^[44]
Pine forests, In 1906, with a view to growing valuable timber, Mr. Bryant started the Kodaikanal pine plantations in the south-west of Kodaikanal.
Silver Cascade, 8 kilometres from Kodaikanal at a wide bend in the long and winding Laws Ghat Road, at altitude 1,800 metres waterfall formed from the outflow of Kodaikanal Lake. This impressive waterfall is a popular stop for first-time visitors.There is also a smaller but more serene waterfall below the bridge which crosses the stream here.

Starting with Travelogue,I start depicting my first travel with my beloved husband.My WeddingDay was 1st March 2002.And My husband planned our honeymoon trip on August 2002, at Darjeeling.

Known for its natural splendour,Darjeeling's best gift to its visitors is the dawn of a new day.The mountains awaken first with a tentative peeking of the sun.The snow capped Everest,Kabru,Kanchanjunga,Jannu and other peaks slowly emerge from slumber to start a new day.As the fog lifts in the slowly penetrating sun,the little town gradually comes alive.Amidst brewing of tea,the sing song Gorkhali,which is the local dilect, rises and falls like music.

We started our journey from Siliguri.We took a taxi and traveled by road.Nestled in the serene Himalayan splendour,the zigzag railway passing through a variety of foliage,linking Siliguri, in north Bengal with Darjeeling.The serenic beauty along the reral is a thing of joy.The tall cotton trees,the buttressed smul palms,the gigantic bamboos all entwined with creepers and loaded with ferns.

My husband booked a very good hotel of ITC group.From the window Iost myself with the serenic beauties of Kanchanjunga

No visit to Darjeeling complete without a visit to Ghoom,which is 6k.m away from the city.The hillock is dominated by the famous Yiga Choeling Monestary which has 15 images of the Maitreya Budha.The museum of Natural History is where we saw a fine collection of Himalayan animals,reptiles,birds and insects.Another place of interest is Liyod Botanic Garden,where marvellous collection of alpine flora and are there.

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological park is the only centre in India for the breeding of the rare snow leopard.The Ussurian tigers and the Himalayan black bear are also among its attractions.Near the zoo,there is the Himalaya Mountaineering Institute,established in 1954 by the then PrimeMinister,Jawharlal Neheru,in the wake of the conquest of Everest.

A kilometer from the zoo is the Darjeeling- Rangit Valley ropeway.It was a thrilling ride with splendid views of tea gardens.

We visited the rock garden and Ganga Maiya park.Its a very attractive place with natural waterfalls.The garden is about 10-12 k.m. from the main town.

I remembered the beautiful mall area,and last but not least the Hasty-Tasty restaurant.The food was spelndidly tasty.I still remembering its smokey mouth watering veg.momo

From Darjeeling we planned to visit Gangtok,as it is only 4 hr. road journey from Darjeeling town .But due to scarcity of time we had to postponed that trip.No regrets..Next time.......
