Further afield, in the Caribbean, all-inclusive hotels and endless kid-friendly activities—snorkeling, bodyboarding, and sea kayaking—are some of the reasons that parents of kids and teens love Seven Mile Beach, in the Cayman Islands.

Those in search of an off-the-grid stretch of sand will want to note the beaches that T+L readers deemed best for seclusion, starting with Polihale Beach, Kauai. Its wild, seven-mile shoreline is accessible only by old farm roads. But voters also gave a nod to One Foot Island Beach in the South Pacific’s Cook Islands. Perhaps this beach is so alluring because the visit is inherently ephemeral: flip-flop-wearing travelers are not able to spend the night. Instead, drumbeats at dusk signal the last boat to nearby Aitutaki island, where a small airport welcomes four flights a day from Raratonga.

We love our coasts and beaches as places to live, work, and play. Forty percent of the world’s population lives on the coastal fringe, and that number is steadily growing. Vacationers eager to lie on white sandy beaches and swim in crystal clear waters generate billions of dollars in tourism revenue annually.

This constant push for new development projects and construction is compromising the health of coastal, beach and nearshore marine ecosystems. Industrial pollution and agricultural runoff further alter these natural systems, creating coastal dead zones in places that used to be teaming with life. As ocean levels rise and seasonal storms become more intense, these destructive pressures will only get worse, dramatically altering the shape and composition of our coastlines.

Our Coasts & Beaches Fund provides grants to projects that promote best management practices and the creation of marine reserves. We also support important research on the value of the coast and beaches as natural systems that contribute to our economies and play a role in human health. In many cases, well-designed restoration projects can give coastal wetlands, estuaries, beaches, and mangroves a second chance, even after they have been severely damaged or degraded.

I wrote once about the prophecies spoken in the Basilica of St. Peter in 1975 , which concern the renewal of the Church. Re-reading the book "Mister Pentecost," that is the autobiography of David du Plessis, in the context of the abdication of Benedict XVI and the unclear circumstances inspired me to write this post.

Smith Wigglesworth in 1936 gave David du Plessis prophecy that God will use him in the wake, which will begin in historic churches, and that he sees the fulfillment of this prophecy, if you will be humble and faithful. In the last chapter of his autobiography, David writes that he participated in a meeting in ... The registered vaults at the GLD will eventually become a crime scene as real physical gold departs for eastern shores leaving behind paper obligations to the remaining shareholders. There is no doubt in my mind that GLD has nowhere near the gold that say they have and this will eventually lead to the default at the LBMA and then onto the comex in a heartbeat (same banks).

As a reminder the total comex gold had inventories of around 11 million oz in 2011. Today the total comex gold remains to 7.159 million oz (222.6 tonnes)

Gold closed up $1.10 to $1287.30 (comex closing time ). Silver was unchanged at $20.71.

In the access market today at 5:15 pm tonight here are the final prices:

gold: $1289.90

silver: $20.82

Most of the gold equity shares fell today despite gold and silver rising. Usually this is a good sign that our criminal bankers are lining up their forces to do battle with their evil nemesis gold/silver metal on Monday.

The total gold comex open interest fell today by 1548 contracts from 403,947 down to 402,399 as gold rose by yesterday by $17.90 . The November front month saw it's OI rise from 8 to 9 for a gain of 1 contract. We had 0 delivery notices so we gained 1 contract or an additional 100 oz will stand . The biggest of all delivery months is the December contract month. The December OI contract month fell by only 6013 contracts to 165,035 . First day notice is Friday, Nov 29.2013 which is 2 weeks away. The estimated volume today was poor at 95,893 contracts The confirmed volume yesterday was also very good coming in at 181,658.

The total silver Comex OI astonishingly rose again by 206 contracts as silver was up in price yesterday ( 28 cents ). The total OI now rests tonight at 133,125 contracts. We are now seeing the OI with respect to silver and gold rise slowly and I believe we can assume that both precious metal contracts are all in strong hands. The front non active front month for silver ( November) saw its OI contract rise from 11 contracts up to 20 for a gain of 9 contracts. We had 1 delivery notice filed yesterday so in essence we gained 10 contracts or an additional 50,000 oz of silver will stand for delivery. Somebody was in need of emergency silver. The big December contract saw its OI fall by only 2013 contracts down to 53,384. The estimated volume today was poor coming in at 31,798 contracts. The bankers supplied all the necessary non backed paper today. The confirmed volume yesterday was strong at 70, 779.
