Former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner, who quit soccer administration last month amid bribery allegations, said he would consider returning to the game to deal with "unfinished business."

Warner, who for 21 years was president of CONCACAF, the body for North and Central America and the Caribbean, quit in June after he had been suspended pending a FIFA investigation into claims he helped facilitate bribes.

The allegations being probed by FIFA suggested Trinidadian Warner acted on behalf of Qatari Mohamed bin Hammam, who was a candidate for president of FIFA.

Both Warner and bin Hammam have denied any wrongdoing and FIFA said Warner's resignation meant they no longer had any jurisdiction to investigate him.

In comments reported by the Trinidad Guardian on Tuesday, Warner said he would consider a return to FIFA politics.

"I will not say no because you can never tell what the future holds. There is some unfinished business which I will have to finish in both FIFA and CONCACAF at the appropriate time and who knows I may go back," he said.

Warner, who was on FIFA's executive since 1983 also headed Trinidad's football federation in the past, said no one in his country had his experience of the international body.

"The only expert on the FIFA in this country is me and in the fullness of time I will tell this country what FIFA is and what FIFA is not," he said.

FIFA's Ethics Committee will hold a hearing with bin Hammam into the allegations on July 22. The body has interviewed a number of members of the Caribbean Football Union regarding the allegations that federations were given cash gifts by the Qatari who was hoping to defeat Sepp Blatter and become the top man in world soccer.

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A legal loophole is allowing a Washington state man accused of child sex crimes to view child pornography in jail. Weldon Marc Gilbert is acting as his own lawyer in the case, and that means he's entitled to review the evidence.

The evidence in the case includes more than 100 videos seized from Gilbert's Lake Tapps home after his 2007 arrest. Authorities say some of the footage was shot by Gilbert.

"Make no mistake — I don't like it," Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor told KOMO-TV. "But it is not my choice whether to do it or not to do it. There's no question that I don't like it. There's no question that this makes me grind my teeth."

The materials normally would be contraband at the Pierce County Jail, but restricting Gilbert's access to the videos could result in a mistrial, the station reported Wednesday.

"We don't want to do it, but we have to follow the law," Pierce County prosecutor Mark Lindquist said. "The fix here is to change the law."

Gilbert worked as a pilot and is accused of using offers of flying lessons, money and alcohol to lure more than a dozen boys to his home, where police say he then molested them.

When Gilbert views his videos in the Tacoma jail, he is with an investigator in a room visible to jail guards, KIRO-TV reported.

Gilbert pleaded guilty in federal court in 2009 to producing child pornography, and received a 25-year sentence. But, The News Tribune reported, the deal was contingent on Gilbert also pleading guilty in state court to sex crimes, with prosecutors recommending a sentence of no more than 17 years, to run concurrently with the federal sentence.

When a judge told Gilbert his state sentence could be as long as life in prison, he withdrew his guilty plea.

Catherine Kieu Becker, 48, was taken into custody on Monday night after telling officers who found her husband tied to the bed and bleeding from his groin that he had "deserved it."

Becker is accused of drugging her husband's food to make him sleepy, slicing off his penis with a knife, tossing it into the garbage disposal and turning the unit on, Nightengale said. She then called 911, he added.

Becker's 51-year-old husband, who was not identified by police, told detectives he laid down on the bed, believing something was wrong with his food, Nightengale said.

He later woke up to find himself tied to the bed with his wife tugging at his clothes before she grabbed his penis and cut it off, Nightengale said the man had reported.

Becker was arrested on suspicion of aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse and booked into Orange County jail.

Her husband was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was listed in serious condition.

Nightengale said the couple was apparently married but going through a divorce.

Marseille players becoming victims of burglars

.Marseille have set up security patrols outside the homes of their players after Brazilian defender Vitorino Hilton became the latest victim of burglaries targeting the club's playing staff.

The 33-year-old centre-back was at home with 10 members of his family on Tuesday evening when a six-strong gang of armed men broke in shortly before midnight.

The masked intruders restrained those inside the property and escaped with cash and valuables including cameras, computers and jewels.

Hilton was slightly injured in the incident after being struck with a gun butt but did not require hospital treatment.

"Olympique Marseille can no longer tolerate and accept that some of their players should be victims of 'home-jacking'," read a club statement released on Wednesday.

"The club, which guarantees their safety in the context of their profession, now seeks to extend that protection to their private lives."

Marseille added that security patrols outside their players' properties would start "from tonight (Wednesday)".

Hilton is the latest in a growing list of Marseille players to have been targeted by armed robbers.

Argentine playmaker Lucho Gonzalez, one of the highest-paid footballers in France, was reportedly left traumatised after an armed gang attacked him and his family at his home in Aix-en-Provence in March.

"These are terrible things that can happen and which, from a psychological perspective, are traumatising," said OM coach Didier Deschamps at the time.

The home shared by Ghanaian brothers Andre and Jordan Ayew has been burgled twice, in November 2010 and May this year.

(AP) — Authorities were looking into allegations of witness tampering during Casey Anthony's murder trial, a Florida sheriff said Tuesday during a wide-ranging news conference with his top investigators in what he said was an effort to bring closure to a case that polarized the country.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings also revealed that prosecutors were considering perjury charges against Anthony's mother, but a spokeswoman for the state attorney's office later said they would not be pursued.

Casey Anthony was acquitted a week ago on charges of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008. Anthony was found guilty on four charges of lying to law enforcement officers. She is to be released from jail Sunday.

The sheriff held the news conference to defend his investigation and because his office had been besieged with interview requests since the verdict.

"The ultimate goal ... is that our personnel can get back to work doing the business of the taxpayers and residents of Orange County," Demings said. "This is the only way that we can move forward."

Demings wouldn't say who was accused of witness tampering, but it didn't involve Casey Anthony's mother, Cindy. She stunned prosecutors during the trial when she testified that she had done searches for chloroform on the family's computer. Prosecutors believed, along with sheriff's investigators, that Casey Anthony had performed the search as she plotted to kill Caylee.

Later, testimony by two of Cindy Anthony's co-workers that the company's electronic records showed that she was logged into her work system for most of the day on both March 17 and March 21 when the chloroform searches were done.

Cindy Anthony said she had performed the Internet searches for chloroform while looking up information on chlorophyll, a green pigment found in plants. Chloroform is a chemical that can be used as a sedative and is fatal to children in small doses.

A co-worker said the system would not have recorded Cindy Anthony's presence if a person hadn't been actively using the work computer.

The government presented evidence at trial that chloroform was found in Anthony's car trunk and insinuated that she could have used it to render Caylee unconscious.

As for the alleged witness tampering, detective John Allen would only say the sheriff's office has interviewed some witnesses.

"In regards to where we will go, it really depends on what information we get and what people come forward to provide additional information," Allen said.

The investigators at the news conference sat at a table alongside a big picture of Caylee. The sheriff said it was a reminder of what his investigators were pursuing during the three-year case that dominated his resources.

"This is what this was all about," Demings said. "It was about a missing child. That's what motivated our staff and our community."

Demings said his office followed up on more than 600 tips and worked with more than 100 FBI agents. He said he is still in the process of working with his accounting department to total up substantial investigative costs. Prosecutors want Anthony to incur those costs because they said the lies she was convicted of telling investigators directly led to the expenditures.

"Obviously those were resources that could have been put toward finding other missing children," Allen said.

Texas Equusearch, the private group that conducted several searches for Caylee in 2008, filed a lawsuit against Anthony on Tuesday, seeking $15,000 for what it spent on searches. The lawsuit claimed Anthony made misrepresentations to the group's founder, causing extensive, costly and time-consuming searches for Caylee.

Anthony's defense said Caylee accidentally drowned in the family pool and her father, a former police officer, helped cover it up. Anthony's partying and shopping during the month before her daughter was reported missing was caused in part by her father's sexual abuse, her attorneys said.

George Anthony denied the claims in court, and investigators said Tuesday they were rebuffed by the defense team when they tried to interview her about the allegations.

Allen and the case's lead detective, Yuri Melich, said they wouldn't do anything differently in the case, despite not winning a conviction.

"Ultimately, it's up to the jury to decide," Melich said. "We respect that and honor that."

The sheriff did acknowledge that finding Caylee's remains earlier could have built a stronger case. The remains were found by a meter reader in December 2008, six months after Caylee was reported missing. The meter reader initially called authorities as early as August about seeing what might have been a skull in the woods.

Demings said the investigator called out after the meter reader's report no longer works at the sheriff's office, and he believed authorities correctly focused on Anthony.

"I certainly don't have any doubt," Allen said. "... I think our work was solid."

R Kelly face a foreclosure on his mansion

Crain's Chicago Business reported Tuesday that JPMorgan Chase Bank filed the foreclosure lawsuit last month in Cook County Circuit Court. The complaint states that Kelly hasn't made monthly mortgage payments since June of last year.
Crain's reports the Olympia Field home's appraised value fell 26 percent in a year, to $3.8 million in 2010. The original 1999 loan was for $3.5 million
The principal due is more than $2.9 million.
The R&B singer's spokesman, Allan Mayer, declined to comment about the foreclosure. But he tells The Associated Press that Kelly isn't in financial trouble.

The former governor of California will return to acting with a starring role in the Lionsgate film "Last Stand." Schwarzenegger will play a border-town sheriff who unwittingly finds himself battling a notorious drug kingpin on the run.

Joe Drake, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said Schwarzenegger will "bring incredible magnetism" to the character of Sheriff Owens.

The role represents Schwarzenegger's first major movie role since 2003's "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." He made a cameo appearance in last summer's "The Expendables."

Drake said Schwarzenegger's appearance in that film "electrified the audience" and that he expects the action star-turned-politician to bring that same energy to this Western tale.

The film will be directed by Korean filmmaker Kim Jee-woon. No shooting or release date was announced.

Schwarzenegger spokesman Daniel Ketchell confirmed Tuesday that Schwarzenegger will appear in "Last Stand" but did not elaborate.

The data systems technician gained fame — and apparently a date with actress Mila Kunis — when he posted a video on YouTube last week inviting the "Black Swan" star to accompany him to the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, N.C., in November. The annual event marks the founding of the Marines in 1775.
Kunis learned of the video during a recent interview with her "Friends With Benefits" co-star, Justin Timberlake, who urged her to fulfill her patriotic duties. Kunis agreed to the date, saying, "I'll go."
Her publicist, Melissa Raubvogel, had no comment Tuesday.
Moore said Tuesday that he made the video after a fellow Marine bet he wouldn't.
Standing on a base in Afghanistan and wearing his uniform and black sunglasses, he says on the 19-second video: "Hey Mila. It's Sergeant Moore, but you can call me Scott. Carolyn Bourne, 60, wrote the message after her stepson Freddie took Heidi Withers to meet his family in Devon - and made it clear they had not got off on the right foot.

Mrs Bourne slammed the 29-year-old's "lack of grace" and branded her "an ideal candidate for the Ladette to Lady television series".

The situation got out of hand when a stunned Miss Withers, a PA, forwarded the stern email to some of her friends who, astonished by the tone, decided to forward it on.

The email has since gone viral on the internet, reaching tens of thousands of readers.

Mrs Bourne said Miss Withers' behaviour had been so rude it had left the family dog, Bomber, traumatised, depressed and anxious.

But their piece titled "Group makes Freedom of Information request for Mr President's IQ,” sparked a flurry, then a blizzard of reactions from Nigerians, many of whom agreed that it is the public's right to know the president’s intelligence quotient.
Respondents on Nigeria's main campaign coalition for freedom of information "Foicoalition" Yahoogroups listerv, pointed to an apparent intelligence-shortage among the nation’s leaders, whom they accused of running the country’s infrastructure to the ground over the last 50 years. Corruption has been a dominant factor and rampant within Nigerian politics.
A ‘normally intelligent’ person has an IQ score of between 90 and 110, while IQ scores above this are considered to be those of very bright people. “Profound Mental Retardation” are scores below 20 and “Very Superior” are above 130. Persons with IQs below 90 are considered dull.

After months of speculations, frontrunners of the Nigerian power music label, Mo’Hits, have confirmed having secured a partnership deal with American record imprint, G.O.O.D Music, owned by multiple award winning rapper cum producer, Kanye West. In a tweet online, Mo’Hits’ boss, Don Jazzy and the label’s leading artist, D’Banj, confirmed this to fans yesterday, June 10, 2011.

Although details of the deal is still kept on the hush, Don Jazzy and D’Banj couldn’t hold their excitement any longer as they both tweeted the news with a “thank God” line.

D’Banj tweeted, “Just like yesterday myself and my brother did Tongolo. 7yrs later Mo’Hits signs with Good Music. Best birthday gift ever. God thank u,“ on his official twitter account, @iamdbanj while Don Jazzy through @donjazzymohits complemented his tweets with pictures of himself, Mr West and heavyweight rapper, Jay-Z.

News of an intending partnership proposal between Mo’Hit and G.O.O.D Music broke earlier this year when Kanye West reached out to the Nigerians via twitter requesting that they meet with him in New York.
