I shopped the Kroger Mega Sale today. First time I have really hard core coupon shopped in probably 2 months. It was an awesome feeling to get back in the game. Saved 73%. Still waiting for the rest of my coupons to come in next week. Kroger in Erlanger just got a truck in tonight. There were bringing boxes upon boxes of stuff in. If they were out of something you needed, it will probably be there in the morning. If you haven't used your $.50/1 Dixie plates coupon yet, there is a really good deal. Once you combine the sale and the coupon, they are only $.50. Plus, there were some packages that had a peelie- buy 2 plates and get free napkins.

When I got my mail today, there was a Red Plum insert with the usual restaurant ads/coupons. PLUS, the last page had a BOGO Febreeze coupon. Make sure you check your Red Plum before you throw it out. I was also surprised to get an extra insert in my door store this past weekend. How nice was that? Hope it continues.

I have to say that I went into the Remke on Turfway on Friday night - and it is looking fantastic!!! It is going to be very nice. What is even better is now they will be offering Pump Perks (carried over from Bigg's) AND Remke doubles coupons!!! I have always shopped Remke more than Bigg's, so this is going to work to my benefit. Although, I do hate to see another business go under. Sorry folks! I am really busy. Finding time for the blog is becoming more and more difficult. Besides, this blog is just a hobby. I don't really make any money off of it. I just want to help others. Even when I tried to put lots of time into it to make more money, it didn't work. I think I will leave the match-ups and major posting to the other BIG bloggers that know how to work the websites better and how to work the advertisers to make some money. Always know that these bloggers put a lot of hard work into finding deals and posting deals for you. Never take them for granted. They make shopping much easier. I won't go away for good:). Lucky you, right? I do still want to stick around and tell you the little things I find here and there that you would only know if you checked the store. These can be the best deals sometimes, and the shelf won't be empty. I do love teaching the classes and meeting new people. Again, I want to help others learn to save like I did. I think I will focus on teaching classes for now and my Thirty-One business. Please stay tuned to my website for updates. When they do come, they will be worth it!

Did you know that Old Time Pottery is going out of business? Everything is marked down 50-80%. They still had a good selection of home decor, baskets, glassware, frames, and totes. As hard as it was for me not to buy a tote, they were cute!! Similar to Vera Bradley, but a fraction of the cost. Of course, I would rather you all order a Thirty-One purse from me, but I can't give you 50% off. (I can give you FREE if you have a party -lol) Sorry, you know I had to throw that in there. I love the store Tuesday Morning. I can always find something unique at a good price. When I was in there this week getting new beach towels, I noticed that they are planning a HUGE 50% off sale June 11-13. All items in the store with a yellow sticker will be 50% off. This would be a great way to get a Father's Day present for cheap!!! If you are in Northern KY, the Tuesday Morning in Ft. Mitchell had a much better selection than the one in Florence. Even the employees were all excited about this one. They are even closing early the day before to get prepared. Can't wait!

Pretzel Salad and Sunshine Salad

I haven't done my Thursday's Tip of the day in several weeks because I have been so short on time So, you will get the tip on Friday. Better late than never. Here are 2 yummy summer recipes that will help you use that Cool Whip you an get at Kroger this week for a great price.

Pretzel Salad

2 Tubs Cool Whip
1 Bar Cream Cheese
1 c Sugar
1/2 can pineapple tidbits, drained well
Crushed Pretzels (you choose how much)

Using a mixer, whip together the Cool Whip, Cream Cheese, and sugar
Add in Pineapple
Add in pretzels

Chill before serving - YUM!
By the way, this makes quite a bit. Great for a party!
If it is a little too runny, add in a touch of corn starch.

Sunshine Salad

1 Can Pineapples, drained
2 Cans Mandarin Oranges, drained
1 Tub Cool Whip
1 Package instant Vanilla Pudding made according to package directions
1/4 bag mini marshmallows

Make pudding
Mix in Cool Whip
Add the remaining ingredients
Enjoy!!!
