I remember the headache with purchasing original Naked Palette,

it was either sold out, or not available internationally,

crazily overpriced on Ebay, etc.

And this time I only got an email -

Feels very comfortable on the lips-

not sticky, a little minty (due to plumping effect),
color is very neutral - pink with little sparkles, very pretty.

If for some reason you never heard about BB Cream,

you just have to!

My BB is a savior in winter times -

giving my skin a dewy glow.
This has 5 shades, mine is #21 Light Beige.
Blemishes and under-eye circles need additional coverage.

6. Stila Smudge Pot in Kitten (Mini)

Stila smudge pots work both as an eyeshadow and eyeliner,

however I personally use it as an all over lid eyeshadow,

without a primer (despite being creamy, it doesn't crease on me).

Kitten is Stila's best selling shade - light shimmery champagne-nude,

instantly brightens your eyes,

looks gorgeous with matte brown in the crease and cat eyeliner!

I got mine in mini size for about $6-7 on ebay, full-size pot is $20.00

7.Batiste Fresh Dry Shampoo (Travel Size)

that tiny friend of mine saved me from routine morning hair wash,

especially when it's -20C outside

spray a little here, a little there,
wait one minute and you're ready to go!

I liked the consistency and hydration was nice, but this particular one was almost fragrance-free whereas I prefer more scented lotions. I got my eyes on the Cinnamon lotion - uuuu need to try that one! :)

Eeeh, not in love with the color. Looks exactly like drugstore nail polish Wild&Crazy. I usually skip on these.

The packaging reminds me somewhat of TIGI,

shampoo itself is nicely but not overall fragranced, thick.

Nice one, but did not see any dramatic differences.

Might be too moisturising for oily types of hair.

2. SPARITUAL Instinctual Oil (225 ml for 37.70 euro, sample 6 ml)

Loooove this one, my skin felt so velvet and had a gorgeous shine. Takes longer to absorb. Price bites a little!

3.GLOMINERALS gloPressed Base (9.9 g for 42 euro)

"Supplies a flawless, matte complexion with long-lasting mineral coverage"

I used it as a setting powder, cause it gives more light-to-medium coverage in my opinion.

I actually liked it but I find it too overpriced.

It's currently being offered in Amazon for $20 which is less than twice the price!

4. Lirene Intensively Moisturising Cream (50 ml for 6.12 euro, sample 15 ml)

"Intensely moisturizing cream leaves your skin look fresh and lightened up"

Impressed with that one, use it every day under my foundation, provides a good base and absorbs instantly! Included into my wishing list.

5. Wild & Mild Full Nail Sticker (1 set for 2.60 euro)

Have them in a strange pattern, this why haven't opened it yet :)

I dediced to launch new series of beauty posts,

dedicated to affordable make-up brands sold on the Web

Since the beauty products in our stores are ridiculosly overpriced

and the assortment is quite limited

(big sad smiley face here),

beautyholic (like me) has to buy from elsewhere to survive!

So, I've been shopping online since the beginning of 2010

and will start sharing my secrets with you :)

Let me introduce you e.l.f. Cosmetics and Makeup,

(e.l.f. stands for eyes lips face)

US brand launched in New York in 2004 and arrived to UK in 2007

e.l.f make up prices start at £1.50 (around 1.80 euro!) per pcs,

with their mineral and professional lines starting from £3.50
(~ 4.20 eur!) per pcs

Isn't that crazy!?

I will not dive into descriptions of how can they offer such low prices,

in two words - they focus on product (not packaging)
and use the Internet instead of expensive media channels

PROS: cheap, tons of products - make up, mineral make up, brushes, tools, nail care, etc.
keep coming with new products, lots of coupon codes (20-50% OFF), often free shipping or gift

CONS: better to google the product or read reviews before ordering,
sometimes it's an amazing product for 1.80 euro, sometimes it can underperform

I have ever tried!

a. Just push the pump once

b. Slightly rub the foam to make it creamy

c. Apply it to all your face and gently massage

d. Wash off with water and enjoy the result

You only need one pump for the whole face and it removes even my sultriest smoky eye make-up.

Cons: Might not work that well with waterproof mascaras

Price: 13 euro for 150 ml

2. Aloe Soothing Night Cream

„This rich, dermatologically tested night cream hydrates skin that needs more gentle care“

My recent discovery and a definite repuchase – moisturising, fragrance and alcohol-free,

quickly absorbes despite being a little bit thick

Cons: Not very suitable for oily skin types

3. Body Butters

They come in a large variety of scents –

fruity, nutty, herbal, floral and perfumed.

Some are very buttery-like (Buriti Baby, Shea)

which makes them super moisturising.

I love their Limited Edition and Holiday Butters –

these smell amazing!

Cons: some butters have unnatural scents,
but because of the wide selection
you can definetely find ones that you will like

4. Body Lotion

„Light and easily absorbed, leave skin feeling soft and smooth“

Lotions come in 3 different types – puree, milk and with Community Fair Trade shea butter.

They are amazing if you look for quickly absorbed products

with good amount of hydration.

Cons: For drier skin better to stick to body butters

5. Vitamin E Face Mist

„A quick skin pick-me up and excellent for setting make-up.
Spritz it on for instant refreshment, moisture, and protection.
With a delicate rosewater scent“

Must-have product for summer when your skin needs hydration but your moisturiser feels to thick.

I used it both under make-up and

sprayed it on top for the final touch.

Cons: some may not like the rose scent

6. Shower Gels

They smell fantastic, last a long time and do not dry out my skin.

Cons: might not bery very moisturising for very dry skin

7. Hemp Hand Protector

so this cream helps to releive my skin and restore moisture

Cons: Very thick and has quite specific-scent

8. Seaweed Cleansing Facial Wash

„This mild cleansing gel is oil and soap-free.
It helps rebalance moisture
and sebum levels as it cleanses“

Before falling love with Nutriganics™ Foaming Face Wash, I really loved this one.

It also removes make-up well (but Nutriganics takes the lead)

and gives your skin that feel of refreshment.

Smells amazing!

Cons: slightly harsh for eye-area

9. Blue Corn 3in1 Deep Cleansing Scrub Mask

„This three-in-one cleansing mask cleanses, exfoliates and moisturises normal to oily skin“

Cons: in the first 2 min this mask bites like crazy!

Gourgeousnesses, it's the 2nd episode of GlitterMania.

Last time I was referring to a tutorial on "
How To Easily Remove Glitter Polish"

Then I decided to show it myself.

Remember China Glaze's "Love Marilyn"?

I was a bad child and did some naughty things to my nails,
to make it look like ..like.. like this ...

Here we are,
at the point - "I Need To Remove That ASAP"
...
and the things we need:
cotton pads, foil, nail polish remover
(I use acetone-free) and a pair of scissors

Start with the 1st hand and cut cotton pads into halves,
getting 5 pcs for each hand

Prepare 5 pcs of foil

A black hole - My cat's nose!

Meow-Monsta!

Pour some nail polish remover onto a cotton pad (don't be greedy)

Wrap it around your finger

And wrap a foil piece on the top of a cotton pad

Repeat with each finger and wait 3-5 min (what a sausage-fingers!)

Gently press foil and slip it off

Virgin nails, a little bit dry and with some glitter powder

Rest in peace, Glitter!

Don't forget to moisture!

Sunday's Reportage: Home Hair Dying using Yellow Color by Alfaparf

Enjoying last bits of the Sunday evening..

Why not refresh my hair color?

Let's start!

(My messy Sunday's hair, looks like..well, no comments)

(Yellow Color in 7.3, peroxide, brush and bowl)

(For my thin medium-long hair I use 1/3 of the color)

(Add peroxide in a proportion 1:1.5)

(Mix, mix, mix!)

(Ready to go)

(Don't forget to use your rubber gloves)

(Onion-Head!, Chipolino!)

(Voilah! Let my hair dry naturally, no blowdrying or styling)

The story behind the story.

I used to dye my hair in the hair salon,

cause I never was a fan of drugstore hair dyes.

To me, they sometimes bring unexpected results (unexpected in a bad way),
smell badly, dry out your hair, etc and etc

That's just my personal experience.

Then, becoming "Beauty on a Budget", I decided that I need something else
(actually, I looked for cheaper alternatives to spend more on make up ha-ha)

something which can deliver "hair salon" results for "more-like drugstore" price

And found one!

Yellow Color by Alfaparf, Italian professional hair color and care,
more budget-friendly line than its sibling Alfaparf,
was relatively recently introduced to Estonia

I grabbed my 1st deal on voucher-offering website and got my
Hair Color (100 ml) + Peroxide (150 ml) + Hydrate Intensive Mask (250 ml)

for 12.50 eur (retails for 21.55 euro)

That was last year,

Because it's suited me very well, I now buy it for 10 euro (Color + Peroxide),

where 1 tube of Color is enough to dye my hair 3 times!

10 eur/3=3,333333(3) euro comparing to around 20 euro I was paying in a salon!

Such a steal!
