I'm starting 2018 with a massive declutter, primarily in my makeup collection. I feel like I'm entering a second wave of being able to let go of stuff. A lot of the makeup I am getting rid of now, I thought I was never going to be able to get rid of, short of using it up. I think the fact that I've actually stopped buying makeup for almost three years now, is why I am finally able to let go of these things. I realise I haven't reached for them for a while, they've had "their chance", and since I am not buying and buying and buying, I feel less guilty of getting rid of the stuff I don't use, since that really does mean I get to use the things I love, that I already own.

La Prairie Ice Crystal Serum 30ml
La Prairies Ice Crystal range is fantastic, and the serum is no different. It balances, hydrates, brightens the complexion and improves texture. It's fantastic, and one I'd love to re-purchase.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc 150ml
A staple. I spray this all over my face and gently pat it in, every morning after washing my face. It balances the skin and keeps it clear, blemish free and fights any skin irritation or redness.

Lancome Soleil Bronzer SPF50 50ml
This was ok, but a bit too thick. It worked fine to use on the beach during summer, but was too thick and greasy to use everyday under sunscreen. Not something I'll be buying again.

Ole Henriksen Firm Action Mask 50g
This is a really good clay mask! It keeps skin clear, and unclogs pores without stripping it too much, or irritating the skin. I've been through several bottles of this, and would love to re-purchase.

Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster 30ml
This has become a staple! I mix a few drops in with my daycream, and this gradually builds up a natural glow and slight tan.

Nude Progenius Omega Treatment Oil 30ml
A gorgeous face oil. It's a bit too thick for me to use during the day, but I've loved using it at night in place of both a serum and night cream. It hydrates the skin really well, and gives the skin a boost of nutrition. By next morning my skin is plump and radiant. I've been through several bottles of this in the past, and would love to re-purchase, but can't find anywhere that stocks Nude Skincare anymore?

Sephora Ginseng Mask
I bought a lot of these sheet masks when they were first released, but have been really underwhelmed by all of them. They barely do anything, don't fit well on the face and are uncomfortable to use. This was the final one I had, and I definitely won't pick up any more.

Biotherm Life Plankton Mask 5ml
I got a bunch of these samples a while back and have to say I'm a convert to the Life Plankton products. This is fantastic, I love using it as an overnight mask. It plumps and hydrates the skin amazingly, whilst also calming and soothing the skin. I really want to buy the full-size of this, and also am very interested in checking out the entire Life Plankton range by Biotherm.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm 15ml
The best cleansing balm. THE BEST. I've tried so many others, since religiously using this a few years back, and since returning to it I've realised it's just the best cleansing balm on the market. It's thick, but not so thick it's too hard to get off, it spreads easily across the skin, but still lets you get some grip to really clean the skin. It also smells incredible!

Biologique Recherche Creme Placenta 4ml
This was fine. It hydrated the skin ok, not too much, and helped even skintone and balanced the skin well. It smells absolutely disgusting and the name is quite off-putting as well. I'd deal with the name and the smell, if the product was mind-blowing, but it's just ok, so I definitely won't be buying the full-size.

Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Serum 3ml
This was fine, but nothing special. It helps smooth out the skin under the eyes, and helps hydrate, but doesn't do too much of anything. Not something I'm interested in trying the full-size of.

Guerlain Terracotta Sunless 150ml x 2
This was my favourite fake-tan for a while. It absorbs quickly, gives a super natural, but intense and even tan. It fades evenly, and actually smells pretty good. I haven't bothered with self-tan for a while, and unfortunately these have gone off.

Guerlain Terracotta Jambes de Gazelle 100ml
This is another product I loved, but just forgot to use. I would apply this to legs and arms, and it would tint the skin with a nice golden tan, that was really natural. It also gave the skin a healthy sheen. It's a beautiful product, that I wouldn't be opposed to buying again. Though then I would commit to actually using it.

Guerlain Terracotta Sun Protect SPF15 100ml
This was fine, but it has a strong scent which meant it would irritate the skin on my face. I used it on my body, and it worked well. SPF15 is too low for me though, so if I were to re-purchase I would go for at least SPF30. Otherwise a nice SPF, though a bit expensive.

James Read Sleep Mask Tan Face 50ml
This is super nice. I would use this as an overnight mask and would wake up with skin that was plump and hydrated, with a nice even tan. It's a supergood product that I would love to buy again.

Biotherm Lait Corporel Anti-Drying Body Milk 400ml
My favourite body lotion. I've been through probably 100+ bottles in my life, seriously. It absorbs quickly and hydrates really well, whilst being non-irritating and super gentle to the skin.

Hand Chemistry Retin-Oil 100ml
This is a nice body oil. It really did help heal some scars and pigmentation marks on my body. I will definitely be buying again.

Tromborg Aroma Therapy Body Lotion 200ml
A gorgeous body butter. This is thick and delicious, and hydrates really really well, but still absorbs quickly and completely. It also smells insanely good!

Sachajuan Ginger Flower Body Lotion 300ml
This is fine. It has a nice smell, but it barely hydrates the skin. I won't re-purchase.

Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream 125ml
This is a really good foot cream. It's super hydrating and keeps my feet super soft. All while absorbing really quickly. One of my favourite foot creams, and one I will definitely buy again.

Kiehl´s Richly Hydrating Hand Cream in 'Coriander' 75ml
A nice hand cream that hydrates really well. It's really rich, but unfortunately also quite greasy. It doesn't really absorb. It was ok, as I used it overnight, but I will look elsewhere next time I need a new hand cream.

Byredo Blanche Hand Cream 30ml
This smells fantastic, but the product itself is just alright. It absorbs quickly, but unfortunately barely hydrates the hands. The lid also broke off almost immediately. For the price of this, that is just not at all ok. I will not buy any more Byredo hand creams.

Sachajuan Thickening Conditioner 250ml
This is fantastic for volume! It also manages to keep hair soft and manageable, without weighing it down at all. If you need volume, you should check this out!

Oribe Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray 300ml
One of my all-time favourite styling products. I spray this to the ends of my hair, and it gives my hair soft beach curls. It's an incredible product, almost a bit like magic. This is my second bottle, and I am most definitely re-purchasing.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Conditioner 200ml
This was ok. The texture was quite thin, so I ended up having to use a lot, which meant going through the bottle quite quickly. It did moisturise and keep my hair soft and in nice condition, but I've used better conditioners, so I'll be trying something else next time I need to buy a new conditioner.

Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Nomad and Venous 15ml
I love the colours of these two, but they never performed too well, unfortunately. Now they have both separated, and are quite old, so it's time to get rid of them.

Rimmel Lycra Pro in 425 My Denim 12ml
The colour of this is fantastic, and the quality was also really good back when it was new. I am getting rid of it now, only because it's gotten old.

Chanel 595 Rouge Moiré
This one I am just bored of. The colour is beautiful, but it chips within hours! I can't be bothered taking the time to paint my nails, only to have it looking horrible already after just a few hours.

Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray 118ml
One of my all-time favourite makeup products! I've been through so many bottles I can't count, and will probably always keep re-purchasing. This really helps keep my t-zone shine-free all day and makes makeup last so much longer! It also helps set my makeup, and makes my makeup look more natural, and my skin more glowy.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid in Pink 6.2g
This is fantastic! I've used this everyday since buying it, and have already re-purchased and moved onto another tube. This does a really great job at correcting any darkness under the eyes. The texture is thin and blends easily. It also doesn't bother or interfere with my concealer at all. A fantastic product!

Chanel Le Blanc De Chanel 30ml
I bought this due to all the hype, but it never really impressed me too much. It gave the skin a nice glow, when applied on it's own, but once you put foundation over it, the effect doesn't really shine through. It also makes foundation last a bit shorter, which is not what I need. It's gotten quite old, and since I never really liked it anyway, I've decided to just cut my losses and get rid of it.

MaxFactor Smooth Effect Foundation in Sand 60 30ml
This was just never the right shade for me, and I can't be bothered with trying to make it work. It's basically full and brand new, so I will give it to a friend whose skincolor I think it will match.

Bare Minerals Foundation in 1G Light 2g x 2 + Original Foundation in Medium Beige
I've never really got on with mineral loose powder foundations. Among the ones I've tried, these have been on the better part of the scale, sure, it's just never going to be my preferred type of foundation. It doesn't look all that natural, looks cakey and powdery easily, and staying power is not very good. These are all three samples I've gotten for free, and will give to a friend that I know loves these kinds of products.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer 7.1ml
This is an excellent primer, and I've been through several tubes of the full-size product over the years. This was a free samples size I've used up whilst travelling. I wish they sold it in this 7ml size, it's super convenient!

Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 646 30 Montaigne 2,5g (Gift with Purchase)
Another gift with purchase. The colours are great, and in theory this would be perfect for travel, but I just never end up bringing it with me over other things. I will be giving this to a friend that travels a lot that I think will love it. Dior eyeshadows are excellent quality - both in terms of application and that they wear well.

Mac Blush in Fleur Power, Melba, Well Dressed, Mocha and Pink Cult
Mac blushes are nice - pigmented, but not too much, buildable and easy to blend. These are just a bit old, so I am getting rid of them.

Guerlain Parure de Nuit 10g
This beauty is a beautiful blush and highlighter mix, and when mixed together creates a beautiful light pink glowy pop to the cheeks. It's stunning, but unfortunately it's gotten old, so it needs to go.

Chanel Blush Horizon de Chanel 15g
A limited edition gem! A gorgeous bright pink blush that blended super easily and was a true joy to use! It's old, so I am getting rid of it.

Nars Blush in Luster 4.8g
This was one of my favourite blushes for a long time. It's a bit old, and a bit too orange for my current complexion. I just can't get it to work for me anymore, so I am getting rid of it.

Estee Lauder Moder Mercury Illuminating Powder Gelée 5.5g
This limited edition gem I remember running around to so many stores to try and get a hold of. It's a stunning rose gold highlighter with a super shine to it. I'm getting rid of it as it's simply gotten too old.

Guerlain Terracotta Sun in The City Golden Glimmer Powder 15g
This is a beautiful highlighting powder that is absolutely stunning in the pan. Unfortunately it's way too yellow and gold to work on my complexion. It's also gotten old, so I am getting rid of it.

Dior Shimmer Powder in 002 Amber Diamond 10g
Long time beauty blog readers will remember this cult favourite! It was my favourite highlighter for a long time. Now it's old, so I am getting rid of it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder in Medium Brown 1.6g
This is a great brow powder, worthy of all it's hype. Both in terms of colour, and the texture. It blends easily, gives just the right amount of pigment, and looks really natural. I'm really tempted to just re-purchase this, and I just might. I already really miss it.

Kiko Ultimate Pen Long Wear Eyeliner 1ml
This was ok, but it lasted just a few weeks! It's a cheaper product, but it's not so cheap that it really makes sense to buy at least one new a month. Then I'd rather invest in a nicer one that I can use for longer.

Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner in 4
This was horrible. It was dry and dragging on the skin, with barely any pigmentation from the start. I am bored of trying to make it work, so am getting rid of it.

Loréal Paradise Extatic Mascara 6.4ml
This was really good, I get what all the hype is about! It gives longer, thicker and fluttery lashes! The only downside is that it dried out a bit too quickly. I'd love to buy again, but it's not one I need to re-purchase. I've used other mascaras that are better in that it lasted longer.

Yaby Natural Eyeshadows 40 Pan Palette
I bought three of these 40 pan palettes from Yaby a few years back. They are really good quality, great value for money and has served me well. I'm still keeping my two others, as they are full of bright coloured shimmers and mattes. Those two are unique to my collection. I don't use them much, as I don't tend to use a lot of bright colours, but since I already have them, I'd like to keep them so I have the option, should I crave some more colour. This one is neutral, and I have so many other neutral palettes, that are both newer and that I love more, so I am getting rid of this one for that reason.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Sugar Frost & Rose Gold 1g x 2
I love the caviar sticks! Laura Mercier brings out a set of mini caviar sticks every christmas, or at least have done for the last few years. They are great value for those of us that love the caviar sticks, and allows you a lot of colour options. They are getting old now, so I've been focusing on trying to use them up. I've used these both up as bases. They work well as bases, as they are super long lasting. The caviar sticks continue to be one of my favourite cream bases, and once I'm done with all of the ones I've got, I'll re-purchase.

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre 93 Impulsion 4g
I absolutely loved this back when I got it, and used it a lot. It hasn't seen much love for a while, as I've completely stopped using lighter colours on the lid. It's also old now, so it's time to get rid of it. The Illusion d'Ombres are absolutely beautiful cream to powder eyeshadows, with a lot glitter - but the grown-up "Tom Ford" kind of glitter. After all of these years, the Illusion d'Ombres are still some of the most beautiful lid products around.

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in 99 Hasard 2g
This was part of a limited edition collection, and I remember being absolutely obsessed with it when I first got it. It was the most beautiful and flattering brown-toned matte purple, that blended out super easily, and was buildable. Now it's old and the consistency has changed, so it's time to get rid of it.

Chanel Ombres Perlées de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette 5g
This is another product I was absolutely obsessed with when I bought it. The shadows were all super shiny, long-wearing and absolutely stunning. I've held on to it for way too long, due to sentimental reasons, but it's definitely time to get rid of it.

Makeup Forever Glitters in #1 & #2, Star Powder in 90902, 90943, 90940 & 90941.
These I've almost never used. The glitters are basically just loose glitter. They don't stick to the skin or behave any differently to glitter you can buy at the hobby store, to be honest. A complete waste of money. The other four shades are actually rather stunning - they are "star powders" and all have a beautiful duo-chrome effect. They have a gold, blue, pink and yellow toned shift to them, and adds an incredible dimension to eyeshadows you put them over. Now they are just too old, and I basically never use them, so I am getting rid of them.

Dior Rouge Dior in 999
Dior lipsticks are fantastic quality, and this red lipstick is no different. It's super pigmented, super pigmented, creamy and comfortable on the lips, but still long-wearing and doesn't smudge or bleed. I am getting rid of this one because it's old, but would definitely buy more Dior lipsticks in the future.

Tom Ford Lip Color in 09 True Coral
I love Tom Ford lipsticks, but this shade has been a bit of a fail for me. It's objectively beautiful, and works well in the summer months, but I rarely end up reaching for it, and it really doesn't work during the colder, darker months. It's now old and I am getting rid of it. Should I ever buy more Tom Ford lipsticks, it would have to be when I have downsized considerably, and I knew I would stick to wearing it weekly until it was used up. Otherwise they are simply too expensive.

Fresh Sugar Nude Lip Treatment 2.2g
This one I've actually used up! It's a barely tinted natural lip balm, that hydrates the lips, and smells absolutely amazing. If Fresh Cosmetics was available in Norway, I'd definitely be interested in getting the full size of this and also the plain lip balm.

Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Total Lip Treatment 1ml
This lip treatment is amazing. It's super hydrating, but super lightweight, and makes the perfect base for lipstick. It also helps plump the lips slightly, and make them look fuller. I have more samples of this, but once I'm through them, and my other lip balms, I'm definitely interested in getting the full size of this.

So here we are at the beginning of a new year already! 2017 seems like it flew by! I definitely put the blog on the back burner this year, as my job simply takes most of my time. That probably won't change in 2018, but I'm determined to keep up my empties post as I love to tally up what I've used up at the end of each month. It also keeps my blog updated so that when I do have some extra time and feel like writing a post, I still can. I wish you all a wonderful new year, thank you for sticking around, and here's my last empties post for 2017 and a roundup of the total for the past year.

Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion 200ml
A really good moisturiser. It hydrates really well, but is light in texture and absorbs quickly.

Cane + Austin Retexturize Glycolic Complex Treatment Lotion 200ml
I used this on my upper body mainly, to help repair the skin after the summer sun. It did leave my skin in really good condition, with a really even skintone and smooth texture. I want to re-purchase this to use next year after the summer as well.

Soap & Glory The Scrub of Your Life 200ml
This is a really good scrub. I love especially that it comes in a tube, making it much more convenient than the ones in the tubs. The scrub is also good - quite intense, and it doesn't disappear as you use it, like so many do. I've already re-purchased this.

Tromborg Aroma Therapy Bath & Shower Wash in Stimulating Ginger 200ml
This was so nice. The refreshing scent of ginger and lemon really served as a nice pick-me-up in the mornings. The shower gel also lathers well, and a little goes a long way.

Givenchy Play Eau de Parfum Intense 75ml
This is a really nice perfume. I feel Givenchy is a very underrated brand, both in terms of their makeup and their perfumes. They have a lot of really good products, and really good perfumes. Play For Her Intense is a beautiful scent with floral topnotes, over a musky base. Notes include orchid, pink pepper, tonka beans, patchouli, benzoin sandalwood, peach, tiare flower, orange blossom, magnolia and amyris.

Sarah Happ Lip Scrub in Vanilla Bean 30g
This is a good lip scrub, but I don't find myself reaching for it often as I find it to be kind of messy to get off. I prefer scrubs in stick-form, or like my Kaplan MD lip mask that uses a chemical exfoliant.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment with SPF 15 2,2g
This is a really nice lip balm. Like all lip balms, it's not as intensely moisturising as the ones that comes in a pot, but as far as lip balm sticks go it's one of the better ones I've tried. It also smells really good.

Sensai Cellular Performance Total Lip Treatment 1ml
This is a really nice lip balm that works really well under lipstick. It hydrates and helps plump the contours of the lips.

Voluspa Pomegranate Blood Orange 113g
This was a really good smelling candle, with excellent throw. The Voluspa candles are in general very good. Not as good as Diptyque, Cire Trudon and Byredo, no, but of the mid-range candles they are among the nicer ones.

Malin + Goetz Mojito Candle 260g
This was such a disappointment. I love the Cire Trudon Abd el Kader candle, and thought this might be somewhat similar with mint and citrus scents, but it didn't only not smell like I had hoped, it had no smell at all!(!). I will never waste my money on any Malin+Goetz candles again. Nor probably their skincare, I also bought the mojito lip balm which also didn't smell like anything at all.

Beautyblender Blendercleanser 180ml
I've had this lying around forever and finally finished it. I used this as a brush cleanser, as I find only soap bars clean the beauty blenders. It was ok, but I don't feel a need to buy it again, as it's nothing special.

Bath and Body Works PocketBac in Farmstand Apple 29ml
This was nice enough. The smell of this one wasn't my favourite, but the hand sanitizer is nice enough - it doesn't leave any sticky residue that some can do.

Accentra Hand & Nail Cream White Musk 30ml
A nice hand cream. Nothing special, but nice.

Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths x 10
As far as wipes go, these are the only ones I'll use. I love this 10 pack size that is perfect for when I travel, weekend-trips especially.

Nude by Nature Gentle Make-Up Remover 120ml
This was very nice. Gentle, but very effective at removing even heavy eye makeup.

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter 90ml
This is one of my favourite cleansing balms, and the best one I've tried that is on the more affordable side. If you are looking for a more budget-friendly cleansing balm, I really recommend this one.

Guerlain Creme de Beaute 200ml
This was ok, but I never really enjoyed using it. It was a bit too sticky for a quick and easy morning cleanse, and a bit too thin to be a proper cleansing balm. I used it up in the mornings, and enjoyed it ok, but am happy to have finished it, and won't buy it again.

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads 60 disks
These are really nice. Gentle, but efficient. I don't use them everyday, as my skin is a bit too sensitive to use them everyday, but if you have skin that handles more harsh exfoliants, you could probably use this everyday.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc
The best morning time spritz. I spray this on my face after cleansing, and gently tap it into the skin. It soothes, balances and heals. It's the best, and I'v been through countless bottles over the years, and have approximatively 6 back-ups at all times.

La Prairie Age Management Balancer 250ml
This is one of the best toners I've used! It's slightly exfoliating, but not more than I can use it everyday. I've been using it every evening. It keeps skin clear, balanced, helps with texture and helps all the serums and moisturisers I put on top absorbs and work better. I will definitely buy this again, and highly recommend it.

La Prairie Cellular Power Charge Night 40ml
The best retinol treatment I've used. I've returned to this again and again over the years. It's gentle, but super efficient. It keeps skin clear, even toned, helps with texture, balances sebum-production and helps heal scarring, pigmentation and any breakouts I may have.

La Prairie Cellular Hydrating Serum 5ml
This is a nice hydrating serum. Good hydrating serums are easier to come by, so if you have a limited budget, I wouldn't say this is the one to spurge on, but taking the price aside, this is a very good hydrating serum that helps plump and hydrate the skin, whilst being light and not making skin at all oily.

La Prairie Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex 15ml
This is amazing. I think this is my third or fourth one. This instantly gives the eye a lift, you can feel it happening. It tightens the skin both immediately and helps give a lift long-term. It's also a really good base for makeup. I use this every morning under my eye cream, and sometimes also in the evenings.

Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray 300ml
This is fantastic! I spray some of this up into the ends of my hair, and it gives my hair instant beach waves. It doesn't make hair sticky, doesn't dry it out, and smells absolutely incredible.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray 300ml
Same as above - only I spray this into my roots. It gives my hair an incredible lift and volume, and also helps keep my roots oil-free.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Nettle 150ml x 2
I've converted to dry shampoo powder, but as far as dry shampoo sprays go, this is the best one I've used.

I said I would never get rid of my Dior or Chanel polishes, but the time has come. These are all old, and therefore I am getting rid of them. I haven't bought nail polishes in over three years, and I'm still yet to finish almost any. At this point I'm sticking to my no-buy until I've gotten rid off all of them, and then I'll "re-start" a very small new nail polishes "collection" consisting of around 5 polishes max at any given time. But I am still quite far away from this goal, as I still have quite a few left. To be continued!

Nars All-Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Light 2 Mont Blanc 30ml
One of my favourite foundations. I've already got a back up ready. I use barely two drops to cover my entire face. It covers well, gives the skin a beautiful natural "velvety" finish, and it's long lasting. The colour is also a really good match.

Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick 8,5g
This was really good in terms of easy to apply, and easy to blend, but the product itself isn't the best quality. It broke of at the base pretty early on, and I've got a third left that I have to get rid of as it fell out of the tube, and on the floor. Besides this, it's a really good product, the shade is also perfect for that contour/bronze mixed use.

Cle de Peau The Concealer
The best concealer. Natural, covers almost anything, blends into seamless perfection, and lasts really well. It has it's cult-status reputation for good reason.

Bare Mineral Original SPF15 Foundation in Medium Beige
I've never really gotten into using powder foundation, but as far as powder foundation goes, this is of the better ones I've used. It looks good once applied, but I find it doesn't last well beyond about 5 hours, even with a primer.

YABY powders in 'pf089 fairy' & 'pd100 invisible'
The one that is empty, I've used to set my under-eye concealer, and it worked really well for this. The other one has hard pan, and thus I am getting rid of it.

No Name Blush Palette from Camera Ready Cosmetics
I ordered this blush palette years ago from Camera Ready Cosmetics. I don't remember at all the name, nor does it say on the packaging. The palette is ok, but really good value for money. I don't remember the price exactly, but it wasn't a lot. The colour mix is also really good, if you are a professional make-up artist. Quality is also pretty decent. Sorry I can't remember the brand! Either way, it's old so I am getting rid of it.

I remember being so excited about this palette when I bought it, but haven't really reached for it much since. I've used it here and there, but none of the colours were complete hits, and the highlighter shade is glittery, which I personally don't like in a highlighter. I've finally decided to stop holding on to it, as I will never throughly enjoy using it, and just get rid of it. It is a bit old anyway.

Urban Decay Naked 1 & Naked 2
These I have loved, but they are old now and it's time to get rid of them. I started half-assed panning certain shades in the two palettes this fall, but realised I don't love using them, as much as I do other shadows. I've used both palettes a lot, and am honestly fine with the use I've gotten out of them, to get rid of them now. They are very good palettes though, with a nice colour selection that works well together. I just have other things now that I prefer and would rather use.

Dior Holiday Eyeshadow & Lipstick Palette ( limited edition)
This is such a beautiful, but not very wearable palette. The gold and silver eyeshadows are super pigmented and high shine, and apply beautifully to the lid. There's not many occasions that call for shiny silver or gold lids though, so unfortunately I haven't reached for it as much as I hoped for. The palette is old now, so it's time to get rid of it.

Mac Matte Lipstick in Party Parrot & Pink Pigeon ( limited edition )
These are one of the first reviews I wrote on the blog. These were amazing lipsticks. Super pigmented, long lasting and comfortable on the lips. I've kept them around for a bit too long, but they are old and so they need to go.

Dior Rouge Dior in 786 Mauve Mystere ( discontinued )
This is a beautiful shade that I loved pairing with a gold eye with black winged liner. Unfortunately, purple lipstick isn't an everyday occurance, so I haven't used it enough to fully use it up. Either way, it was a fun item to have, and now it needs to go as it's old.

Nude by Nature Allure Defining Mascara in 01 Black
This was a good mascara. It has a plastic brush, that is thin with short bristles. It lenghtens really well, gives some volume, and is a nice deep black. Unfortunately the wand is bad quality, and ended up breaking off inside the tube. Hopefully Nude by Nature will fix this soon, as it's otherwise a very nice mascara.

Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner in 12
This was a dark purple eyeliner that I've used here and there. I never enjoyed using it too much, as it was quite stiff and so it would tug a bit at the eye. Even after warming it up against the back of my hand. It's now completely dried out, and so in the bin it goes. None of the Dolce & Gabbana eyeliners I've bought have impressed me much, as they were all too dry and had little payoff. Needless to say, I won't buy Dolce & Gabanna eyeliners again.

My favourite morning cleanser. This is light-weight, but still does a decent job of cleaning the skin, all without irritating or stripping it. My go-to for over 6 years now, and I still haven't found anything that can compete!

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter 90ml ( here )
This is a really good cleansing balm that is great value for money. I massage this across clean, dry skin and remove with a damp cloth. I love it because it's easy to get off, and doesn't leave any residue.

Bioderma Solution Micellaire 500ml ( here )
The best makeup remover - face and eye makeup. I will always re-purchase this.

Filorga Optim-Eyes Lotion Eye Make-up Remover Serum 110ml ( here )
This is a really good eye make-up remover. It has a serum in it that is supposed to help treat and condition the lashes and skin, and help lashes grow stronger and longer. I'm not sure I saw any of those effects, but it is efficient at removing makeup, without irritating my eyes, and hydrating the skin around the eyes.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc 300ml ( here )
I spray this all over my face every morning, after washing my face, and gently pat it into the skin before letting it absorb. It calms, heals, balances and keeps skin clear and blemish-free.

This is a really good chemical peel. It's really powerful, so if you have sensitive skin or tend to react to stronger acids, you might want to proceed with caution. Makes skin super soft, smooth, brighter and more even toned.

This is a very nice day and night cream, that I personally only use as a day cream. If you have anything from normal to dry skin, this won't be enough for night time. It keeps my skin balanced, but hydrated, and helps with texture, hyper pigmentation and helps fight any breakouts or redness.

Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil 30ml ( here )
My favourite rosehip oil. I've used this for years, and will continue to re-purchase. This hydrates, heals, plumps, and keeps skin clear. It doesn't clog pores, but it does feel a bit heavy on the skin, so it's something I reserve for use overnight.

This is fantastic! It's a bit sticky and difficult to use, and I did go through it way too quickly - but beyond that, it's one of the best sunscreens I've ever used. It didn't irritate or clog the skin, it had a slight tint that made skintone more even, my skin felt stronger and healthier almost immediately. I've already ordered another bottle and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival in the post!

La Mer The Eye Balm Intense 15ml ( here )
A great eye cream. It mostly just hydrates, but it hydrates a lot, and that's mostly what I need at the moment. The skin around my eyes were visibly more plump, hydrated and healthy looking while I was using this. I have some eye creams to go through, and there are so many I would like to try at this price point, but I still see myself re-purchasing this. I really enjoyed using it.

My favourite daytime eye cream for years! Unfortunately it's not available in Europe anymore, something to do with the way it's packaged, I've been told. Speaking of body washes that smell amazing - Molton Brown certainly have some of the best smelling body washes there is. The product itself is also way up there - silky smooth texture that lathers up really well, but is still gentle on the skin.

This was very nice. Not too thick, but still super hydrating, softening and smelled amazing.

This is an incredible body lotion. It's thicker than a lotion, but much, much lighter than a butter. It spreads across the skin super easily, and absorbs quickly. You need very little to cover your entire body. It leaves skin super smooth, hydrated and glowing. One of the best body treatments I've ever used, I will definitely re-purchase.

A decent body lotion, I have no complaints. It absorbs well, hydrates well, but I've used more hydrating body lotions. If you have really dry skin I don't think this will be enough. Beyond that it smells really good!

My all-time favourite body lotion for light hydration on the upper body. I will probably keep purchasing this forever, I've already used it religiously since I was 12, and am now 28 with no intentions of switching it out.

A fantastic body lotion. This does leave the skin a bit greasy, so it's not one to throw on quickly right before putting on clothes. It does give the skin an amazing glow, and hydrates really well. If you are showing off your legs or arms, this will make them appear soft and with a healthy shine.

This is a really good deostick that is a best seller for good reason. It has a clean slightly feminine scent, that is not at all overpowering, and it's efficient. I will definitely buy again.

This is supposed to minimise the re-growth of hair under your arms - and who doesn't want to minimise that? Honestly - I feel like it did work! It also did a great job at keeping the skin hydrated and in good condition - as opposed to how a lot of other deodorants tend to dry the skin out. I've already re-purchased.

Ilse Jacobsen Sea Buckthorn Panthenol Shampoo & Crosilk Argan Conditioner 215ml x 2 ( not online )
This is a Danish brand that I couldn't find available online anywhere that sells internationally. The shampoo and conditioner duo are best-sellers from the brand, and so I was excited to give it a try. I have to say I was impressed. The shampoo is efficient, but gentle on the scalp. The conditioner hydrated and treated the ends of my hair really well, without weighing the hair down.

A decent duo. I found the shampoo to be a bit drying, and the conditioner not hydrating enough, but overall they were ok and I enjoyed using them whilst travelling. I don't see myself purchasing the full-size though.

I haven't been too impressed with Sachajuan overall, but their thickening shampoo and conditioner I've really enjoyed. This does a really good job at cleaning the hair and scalp, removing all product residue, without being too harsh.

Oribe Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray 175ml ( here )
Oribe continues to impress me and being my favourite hair brand. This, however, didn't wow me as much as other products have. It did a decent job at conditioning the hair and protecting against heat (I guess, how can you tell?), but the results weren't as obvious and mind-blowing as I've experienced with other products. I'm happy I've used it up, and I will probably not buy it again, and buy other Oribe products in it's place.

This was my first venture into using hair mousse, and I have to say I'm a convert. It really does give hair volume like nothing else will. This was a great mousse, but being the Oribe enthusiast that I am, I really want to try the Oribe Mousse next.

This was ok, but didn't blow my mind. It was cool that it had the golden shimmers, but I was surprised I couldn't really see it had any effect on the hair.

This is super nice. It offers light/medium coverage, and gives the skin a beautiful natural glow. It lasts well, nothing too spectacular, but is comfortable on and doesn't irritate the skin. This shade was also a really good colour match for me. I'd definitely like to get another bottle.

This was super good! It has a lot of coverage, blends in well, looks natural on and is long-lasting.

This is a nice product, and this colour in particular is very good. It can be a bit soft, and so your eyebrows can look a bit overdrawn, but if you are careful this is a good eyebrow product. I like to use this to fill in the areas where the hairs are the most sparse, and then go over everything with brow powder.

This is really nice. It adds some texture to the brows, make them appear fuller, and keeps hair in place all day.

This is a really nice drugstore mascara. It lengthens, separates and builds a lot of volume without clumping. It also doesn't flake or smudge.

I love Tromborg eyeshadows. The products are all organic and natural, so these have gone off and so I am getting rid of them. I noticed as the pigmentation and overall quality had changed. I'm getting rid of these, but have already re-purchased these shades as I love them so much. They are easy to use, blends effortlessly and lasts all day.

These were nice lip liners, but nothing all that great. They have been discontinued anyway. I am getting rid of the ones I have left as they have expired.

One of my all-time favourite lip products. This one I've used all the way up, and without even trying. It gives a natural pink tint to the lips, making you look really effortlessly pulled together. It's also super comfortable on the lips, it's not drying and I find it actually hydrates the lips. I will definitely re-purchase as it's a staple in my handbag.

This is a nice body lotion that smells really good. It's light and absorbs well, but still hydrating.

This I found to be quite underwhelming. It honestly didn't do much. For the price, I expect noticeable results.

This is a really nice body butter, and especially for the price! If you are on a budget, but in need of a more intense boost of hydation, this is a safe bet.

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil 30ml ( here )
One of my favourite products! I've been through countless bottles. It really does tone - only temporarily and in terms of getting rid of excess water weight, but sometimes that's all you need. It's also a wonderful oil all on it's own - it makes skin super smooth and hydrates it, without being too thick. It also smells super good!

Sephora Deodorant Spray 10ml ( not online )
I use this when I travel as it's sleek and small, so easy to pack. It works well, but the smell is more of a mens scent than a female. I'll keep using these for travelling, but I really wish they would make it in a different scent..

This definitely tightened my skin. The morning after leaving it on all night my skin felt tighter. Unfortunately it also broke me out, so I won't be buying it, at least not until I'm much older and perhaps will be keen to try it again. Having said that, by that stage there'll probably (hopefully) be something newer that's even better. Bottom line; it does give results, so if you are a few years older than me and your skin typically enjoys more active ingredients and treatments, it could be interesting to get a sample and give it a go.

Filorga Hyal-Defence 30ml ( discontinued? )
This was a decent hyaluron acid serum, but nothing above average. I've used way, way better hyaluronic acid serums than this, that I would prefer to re-purchase. One example is the Vinosource serum by Caudalie - that one is excellent!.

LING Skincare Hi-Vitamin C 12% Anti-Oxidant Brightening Solution 30ml ( review - here )
My favourite Vitamin C serum. I've tried other before, and since getting hooked on this, and there's just nothing that even comes close. I'm interested in trying the Drunk Elephant one, but I'd be surprised if it's better than the Ling one. If you have LING Skincare available where you live, I really urge you to give their products a look, and especially the Vitamin C serum.

This is my favourite cleansing water. It's the most effective and gentle one I've tried, which is a really impressive feat to have in one product.

I love these. As I use SPF 50 on the daily, I never get much, or any of a tan. And that's the point, so no problem there. I do, like most people, look a bit better with a healthy glow, and mixing three drops of this into my day cream provides that, without having to ever expose my skin to the sun.

Diptyque Hiver Candle 70g ( limited edition )
This is one of the best candles I've had. It smells just like.. winter. It smells like one of my mountain cabins in the winter, with wooden walls, a burning fire, and cold snow outside.. I can't explain it, but this really smells just like winter. It's a limited edition candle, but they keep bringing it back every holiday, so if they do this year I really recommend picking one up. I'll be buying the large size this time around!

This is fantastic! I pick up two bottles of this every time I'm in France. I take a drop or two and use it on the sparse parts of my eyebrows and take what's left along the upper lash line. It really has helped both my brows grow back and gives me longer and fuller lashes.

As time passes it will be less difficult to get rid of my polishes, as they all start to be old either way.

Guerlain Meteorites Compact in 3 Medium 10g ( here )
This one I've actually finished, which is the best feeling. I love the meteorites powders, both pressed and the pearls version. This gives a natural luminous finish to the skin, and helps keep makeup looking good and fresh for much longer. It does a bit in terms of oil control, but not too much. It also works really well to touch up throughout the day, as the powder is so light and doesn't "build up" into a cakey mess, like so many other powders tend to do. If I didn't have so many powders already, this is one I would definitely re-purchase.

I've had this travel size of the De-Slick for ages and re-filled it from the bigger bottle, but decided this month it was time to get rid of it. I'm contemplating getting a new one. It's super handy, and fantastic for keeping your makeup on in hot weather during the summer months. I'll re-purchase, but will try to wait until spring next year.

Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in 5 30ml ( here )
This one I just never got along with. It was sold to me as a liquid blush, but the pigment just wasn't there. It was a bit dark and pigmented to use as a highlighter on my pale skin, and therefore also wasn't the best mixed in with foundation. I know other people absolutely loved these coloured ones, but I just couldn't quite figure out a way to make it work for me. Now it's gotten old, and it's time to get rid of it. Quite a shame, and a waste of money, but I guess you will always end up with a dud here and there, no matter how much you try not to.

Lancome Absolu Voyage Complete Makeup Palette ( travel retail exclusive )
I bought this ages ago to use when I was travelling, but just always ended up forgetting I had it in the first place. It's a shame as the powders are quite good, especially the eyeshadows were beautiful. I still like the idea of a travel palette like this, where you have everything in one product. If I ever have a smaller collection I'd consider buying something like this again, but would try to incorporate it for use at home as well, in order to not forget about it.

I got this as a gift with purchase a while ago, but never end up reaching for it. I've decided to give it to someone I know instead so they can use it, otherwise it will just sit in my drawers and I'd eventually have to get rid of it. My Face was a makeup line started by Charlotte Tilbury years ago, and I loved her Bling Tones. This one I've hung onto as it's just so beautiful when swatched, however, when am I ever going to use purple glitter shadow? (never, so I'm getting rid of it).

This is a super beautiful bronze brown eyeshadow, that I've almost used up completely. It's super old now, so I've decided to get rid of it. I don't think Mac makes it anymore, but if they do I really recommend it.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder in No 40 ( here )
I've always saved this super cute gift with purchase as I thought I'd use it as a brown eyeshadow. However, I have a thousand brown eyeshadows that are actually eyeshadows and would rather focus on them.

Speaking of brown eyeshadows, this one is a super nice dark matte. It's old and has hard pan, so I'm getting rid of it.

This was ok, but super dry and was impossible to use after not even a month. It could be that I've kept it too long in my drawer before using it, but I've done that with a lot of mascaras and they haven't been this dry this quickly.

This is fantastic! Lengthens, separates, doesn't flake or smudge and the tiny sample lasted for ages! Almost two months! If I didn't have a few mascaras already ready to go, I'd definitely be looking at buying the full size.

Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer in 402 1.5ml ( discontinued? )
This was nice enough as a pigmented red lip gloss /liquid lipstick hybrid, but nothing too spectacular.

I decided to do a combo for June and July, which means I've got quite a lot of products to talk about this time. There's a nice mix of everything, including makeup, which is always the best part.

Joico Moisture Remedy Shampoo & Conditioner 300ml x 2 ( here )

I really enjoyed this shampoo and conditioner duo. It made my hair soft, kept it hydrated and didn't weigh it down. This is the second batch of these I've gone through.

Ole Henriksen Empower Hydrating Hand Cream 60ml ( discontinued)

A nice hand cream. Lightweight and not sticky. Unfortunately it's been discontinued as far as I can tell.

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream 50ml ( here )

A good hand cream for those of us with drier hands. It's very hydrating, but manages to be so without being too thick, heavy or greasy. I've gone through countless tubes of it, and it's one I'll probably always keep returning to.

Biotherm Lait Corporel Anti-Drying Body Milk 400ml ( here )

My all-time favourite body lotion. I always have one on hand, and it would take a lot for me to stop re-purchasing.

Balenciaga Florabotanica Perfumed Body Lotion 30ml x 2 ( discontinued? )

As far as body lotions go, these were unimpressive. I'm also not a big fan of the scent, but if you are then you'd probably enjoy these a lot in combination with the perfume.

Sachajuan Ginger Flower Body Wash 300ml ( here )

This smells amazing, but the product itself isn't a quality product. It's thin and you need to use a lot each time. I think I went through the whole thing in about a month to a month and a half. That is too quickly to go through 300ml of body wash. At least in my opinion.

Clarins Exfoliating Body Scrub 200ml ( here )

This was a very good body scrub. It stays gritty as you rub it across the skin, is really effective, a little goes a long way - and it comes in a tube!

Tan Towel Self-Tan Anti-Aging Towelette 1.92 ml + Self-Tan Towelette 15ml ( here )

These are incredible! I seldom hype about self-tanners, I find them to mostly do about the same thing, but these truly are something else! I was quite skeptical, I must admit, but the towels are truly soaked in product, there's enough to cover your entire body, and it's so easy to use! I had no streaks at all. My favourite thing though, is that it had dried in about 5 minutes! Yes, seriously. I could get dressed and move on with my evening after just 5 minutes. For anyone else tending to skip self-tanning due to the hassle (like me) - try these!

Biotherm Life Plankton Mask 5ml ( here )

This is a really good moisturising mask. I used this sample as a night cream, and woke up to hydrated, plump and balanced skin. I am tempted to get the full size.

Verso Day Cream with Retinol 8 2ml ( here )

Unsurprisingly, I didn't get much of an impression with just 2ml of this stuff, but I can tell you that I didn't have a reaction to it, which I guess is something, especially when retinols are involved.

Biotherm Blue Therapy Cream-in-Oil 1.5ml ( here )

Another hit from Biotherm! My skin was super plump and glowing the next morning after I used this. Biotherm is really doing well with their skincare, I am really tempted to give their range a try.

StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks & Wrinkles 3ml ( here )

The packaging of this advertises noticeable results after 6-8 weeks, or something to that effect. Well, this covered half of my body one time, so I can't really say I truly put it to the test. It was ok, my skin felt no different to other days..

La Prairie Cellular Refining Lotion 250ml ( here )

I love La Prairie's toners. This is the third or fourth bottle of the Refining Lotion I've been through. It's a very gentle, balancing and hydrating toner. If you have dry to combination skin, this would work really well for you.

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser 100g ( here )

As far as cleansing balms go, this is ok, but it's not among the best I've used. My problem with this is that it turns into an oil almost immediately upon application. By that I mean it's too slippery and I don't get the "grab" with less oily balms that truly lets me deep clean the skin. It's ok, I enjoy it enough, but once I've been through the ones I have I don't see myself re-purchasing.

Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF 50 30ml ( here )

My favorite sunscreen! This doesn't leave a white-cast, doesn't interfere with makeup or skincare, is super lightweight and best of all - absorbs completely after one minute!

LING Vitamin K Anti-Redness Calming Solution 30ml ( here )

The skin on my face reacted to this, so I ended up mixing it in with my body lotion. The skin on my upper body is more sensitive and reactive, and I can say that when using this with my body lotion I felt my skin got stronger and less reactive. I won't re-purchase for use this way, as it's just too expensive to use that way, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

FILORGA Time-Filler Mat 50ml ( here )

A fantastic moisturizer. I used it as a day cream, and it was lightweight, balancing, but still hydrating enough for my usually dehydrated skin. It also kept my skin clear and happy. I'd be happy to use another tub of this.

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream 50ml ( here )

I love the emulsion as a day cream, and while I didn't absolutely love this as a night cream, it was ok. I'll be sticking with the emulsion for use in the day, and my beloved La Mer for the evenings. If you have skin that is more dry than mine though, I'd consider this one as a day cream. It's calming, super hydrating, plumping, doesn't at all clog pores and promotes healing in the skin. The Ice Crystal range is fantastic, I'm currently also using the serum, I just prefer the emulsion to this, though very much enjoyed using both.

Verso Super Eye Serum with Retinol 8 30ml ( here )

This was a nice eye serum, and my first with retinol. It can seem expensive at first, but you get 30ml here, which is double the usual 15ml in eye products. It lasted me almost two years! It was good, but I felt it lacked a bit in terms of immediate results. I've moved on to the Hylamide SubQ Eye Serum, and can so far say I am enjoying that one more than this, so I probably won't return to this.

OPI Nail Lacquer in Alpine Snow 15ml ( here )

When new this was a fantastic white. With two coats I'd get full opacity, in a bright white colour. Unfortunately it's gotten old and has separated so I have to get rid of it.

Deborah Lippmann Hard Rock 15ml ( here )

This is a good base coat, but as far as tending to my brittle nails, it can't compete with OPI's original Nail Envy. I've been through quite a few of the Hard Rock as Deborah Lippmann products are supposed to have less chemicals in them. Unfortunately the results aren't as good as with my favourite, so I'll be making a return to Nail Envy. It's just too good not to use it.

Balmi Lip Balm 7g ( not online )

This was quite nice. I get the appeal of the application method with these "ball balms". The only downside is I did go through it quite quickly. I also still do prefer a balmier lip balm as my lips get quite dry, and I feel those are the only ones that really "treat" that.

Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment 2.2g ( here )

I get the hype surrounding these. They are very moisturizing, especially compared to any other stick lip balms I've tried, and smell amazing.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle ( here )

I have the full size of this. It's a classic for good reason. Not only does it smell incredible, it is a good quality product that you need little of and that lasts all day. Wouldn't expect any less from Chanel.

Face Atelier Ultra Foundation in Zero Minus 30ml ( here )

This has been a life saver for me when it comes to foundations that are too dark. Blending a few drops of this with a foundation that is too dark, has saved me from having to throw them out and let me actually use them up. This doesn't interfere with the formula in any way, except lighten the color. If you have lighter skin and keep ending up with foundations that are too dark, I couldn't recommend this enough.

YABY PF035 ( here )

I have a lot of YABY products from when I worked as a makeup artist, and have recently decided to work on using them up as they are getting old. The powders are nice, the colours are flattering and they blend well. I don't feel a need to buy it again, but I really enjoyed it and they are quite affordable, so a good option to consider if you've got your eye on one.

Guerlain Precious Light Rejuvenating Illuminator in 01 ( here )

This is really good. It brightens and covers quite well for an illuminator, but best of all it has skincare benefits. It hydrates and plumps the skin around the eyes, and help with puffiness. I've been through a few of this before, and will definitely re-purchase.

Chanel Correcteur Perfection Concealer in 20 7.5g ( here )

This is a nice doe-foot concealer. It covers well, stays put and doesn't irritate or clog the skin. I've used it both under eyes and to cover imperfections, it works well on both.

Chanel Vitalumiere Compact Douceur in 12 Beige Rosé ( discontinued )

This is a really good powder. It both feels and looks super natural and light on the skin, and while it doesn't really cover anything, it helps even skintone and blend everything seamlessly together. It's matte without being overly matte, and helps keep skin shine-free as well as keeps makeup on for longer. It also works well for touching up without getting "cake-face". One I would definitely consider buying again, had it not been discontinued.

Yves Saint Laurent Ombre Solo Lasting Radiance Eye Shadow in 6 1.8g ( discontinued )

This was at one point my favourite lid shade. I've been through most of it, and held on to it for a long time due to sentimental reasons. It's now dry, old and it's time to get rid of it. I'll always be positive to YSL eyeshadows though, I've used quite a few in the past, and they were always good.

Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara 10ml ( review - here )

My favourite mascara. This lenghtens, builds volume, all without clumping or smudging. It also both curls and keeps a curl like few other mascaras can. I've been through countless tubes, and will most definitely re-purchase.

Lancome Rouge in Love 322M 4,2ml ( here )

A beautiful bright coral shade. It's matte, and long lasting, but doesn't dry the lips out. A beautiful formula all around.

New Cid Cosmetics I-Crayon Lip and Cheek Tint ( discontinued )

I received this in a beauty box, and will have to categorize it as a bit of a miss. It's patchy, smudges a bit and doesn't last.

Chanel Glossimer in 179 5.5g ( limited edition )
One of my all-time favorite lip glosses that unfortunately was limited edition. Beyond the colour, the formula is amazing. Non-sticky, non-drying and gives lips a lovely even tint.

Keeping with the current trend, I'm skipping all other posts for the moment, but keeping up to date with my empties. As I did both take pictures for, write and post the April empties a bit later than I would have liked, the May empties have a bit fewer products than my empties usually does. However, there's still some good stuff, including makeup, that I am excited to be finished with.

Soap and Glory Clean on Me 500ml
A long-time favourite, I return to this time and time again. Great price, great product.

Hugo Boss Nuit Pour Femme Body Lotion 50ml
This was a gift with purchase. As a body lotion it's mediocre, but the scent is ok. If you love the scent, this could be nice to use in combination with it. However, if you really need your body lotion to provide some moisture and nutrition - I'd skip it, as it basically does nothing.

Cosmica Protecting Body Cream 200ml
This is a Norwegian product, so it's not available online. It's quite heavy, but worked really well for my drier legs. If you have drier skin, this is very nice.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc 150ml
I go through one of these almost every month. I use it every morning, and will keep using it for as long as they make it. It calms, soothes and balances the skin. It's wonderful.

Ole Henriksen Firm Action Mask 50g
This is one of the best clay masks I've used. It really does purify the skin, but without leaving it dried out and uncomfortable. I do of course apply a heavier oil or moisturizer after using it, because my skin is in heavy need of moisture after washing it off, but in a different way to some harsher clay masks. Most of all it keeps my skin clear, it helps balance and matte my skin down for a few days after use. It also really does have a tightening effect on the skin. I've already re-purchased and opened a new one.

Ole Henriksen Herbal Day Creme SPF 20 50ml
This was a nice day cream. It made my skin a bit oily in the t-zone in the afternoon, but besides that, I have no complaints. It hydrated well, was comfortable to wear and didn't irritate my skin or clog pores. It didn't, however, provide enough sunscreen protection. I tried not adding my usual daily SPF 50 on top for a week, and noticed a negative difference in my skin. This is a decent day cream, nothing special, but don't let the SPF fool you into skipping your sunscreen - you can't.

Filorga Perfect+ Perfect Skin Serum 30ml
This was really good. I felt it did help with texture, pores and keeping skin clear and balanced. It was also super light, absorbed quickly and didn't interfere with any moisturizer I used on top.

Yankee Candle Vanilla Lime 623g
This candle smells incredible! The lime and mint is heavenly fresh and sweet all at the sime time, while the vanilla brings a calm and soothing effect. One of my favourite candles ever, and one I will definitely re-purchase!

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover 250ml
This was, honestly, not very good. It removed makeup ok, but it never got everything off. It wasn't even gentle on the eyes, as it irritated and burned a bit if I used a really soaked pad where some of it ended up in my eye. That doesn't happen when I use Bioderma, which I also find to be more efficient at removing mascara, so I will definitely be sticking with Bioderma.

The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion 250ml
This was ok. It's not that heavy, meaning it absorbs quicker. It also doesn't do too much in terms of hydration, so in the end I've found my regular body lotion is better to use on my feet than this. There are very good foot creams out there, but this wasn't that good at it's job.

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum 1.5ml
This seemed nice. There was only enough in the sachet for one time use, so I can't say I got to make up much of an opinion, but it seemed nice. It didn't clog pores or irritate my skin, that I can say for sure.

Aesop Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser 1.5ml
This is an old favourite. I''ve gone through countless tubes in the past, and using this sample reminded me of how much I love it. It also made me want to buy it again, which I probably will. It's a great gentle cleanser, perfect for a quick morning rinse-off, and it smells incredible.

Byredo Palermo Eau de Parfum
One of my favourite perfumes! I've been holding on to this sample for ages, but decided to use it up when on holiday in Cannes in May. Palermo has been discontinued, to my understanding, but I managed to find the 100ml in Cannes, so I'm set for a while! It has notes of citruses, petitgrain, bergamot, ambrette, musk and roses.

Tom Ford Eye Primer Duo 7ml (primer) + 2.2g (powder)
I love this primer, and as you can see in my full reciew, it really helps keep eye makeup lasting for ages. I've basically used it up, but what little is left unfortunately dried out. I'm good on the eye primer front for a while, but this is definitely a product I wouldn't mind getting again.

Tom Ford Lipstick in 13 Blush Nude
Another Tom Ford product, though this one, unfortunately, is being downsized. It's one of my newer Tom Ford lipsticks, but it has gone off completely. It smells absolutely horrid, and the lipstick has melted and gotten quite disgusting in the tube. I've kept fooling myself that I would still use it, but I never reach for it. Considering how expensive it is, keeping it around only reminds me of how annoyed I am at how quickly it turned, so as I know I'll never use it anyway it's best I just get rid of it. I don't think I'll buy more Tom Ford lipsticks, they go off way too quickly. The only way would be if I knew I'd use it daily, because the quality are top-notch when they are new, but besides that, I'll be steering clear.

Dior Lip Glow
Now for an actual favourite, that I've used up completely! This is a really good lip balm, but it also gives your lips the most amazing natural pink tint. I absolutely love it and have used it to death - I'll definitely re-purchase!

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in 02 Raspberry 7ml
I love all of Clarins tinted lip balms, the Lip Comfort Oil included. I've been through the 'Honey' one already, and now finished this one. I've already moved on to the red one - I love all the different colours and "flavours". These give a barely-there tint and hydrates the lips really well, they are especially good in the winter months.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Crayon in 'In The Buff' 0.5g
This was a beautiful nude shiny colour, that did a nice job of brightening up the eye, without looking too obvious. Unfortunately it's completely dried out and flaky, so I'm getting rid of what's left.

Apologies are in order for basically not blogging anymore, besides favourites and empties posts. This time I'm even skipping the favourites one. As I've mentioned before, I started a new job in April. I have a lot of responsibillities, everything is new and I barely have time to go home and sleep. For now, work is of course a priority and the blog is on a semi-pause. I'm sure you understand. I do want to stay on top of my empties posts though, as I love to keep the tally throughout the year. So, while quite late, better late than never; here are my empties for the month of April.

The consistency of this was weird. Besides that it was fine. It absorbed quickly and hydrated ok, nothing special. For the price though, I expected more. Not something I'll be buying again.

Kiehl's Richly Hydrating Hand Cream 'Coriander' 75ml ( here )
I picked up three of these when they were released for christmas.The formula is great - super hydrating but not greasy, and I love the scent. After looking online though, it seems it's back in stock a few places, so perhaps they are making this a permanent product? If so, great, it's a great hand cream and it smells really, really good.

Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate 240ml ( here )
This was really good for early mornings. As it is a gel, it absorbs super quickly, allowing me to get dressed quickly after applying it. Though light, it hydrated very well. I'll definitely be buying again.

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment 30ml ( here )
My favourite body oil. This really does help you get rid of that excess water weight. If you tend to get puffy legs, feet, whatever, I recommend giving this a try.

Sachajuan Thickening Conditioner 250ml ( here )
I love the Sachajuan Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner. It really gives my hair a noticeable increase in volume, whilst still keeping hair in good condition. I've already moved on to my second bottle.

Rahua Voluminous Spray 178ml ( here )
This was disappointing. It basically dose nothing much of anything. It was ok, but nothing I'll be re-purchasing.

Phyto Phytokératine Extreme 30ml ( here )
I received this deluxe sample in a beauty sample box. It's a good leave-in - it hydrated really well and left hair shiny and soft. It did weigh my hair down a bit, so it's not something I'll buy the full size of, but if you have really dry hair this could potentially be perfect for your hair.

Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths 10 Cloths x 2 ( here )
These are the only cleansing wipes I'll use. I really find they help make my skin clearer and skintone more even. They don't remove all my makeup, and definitely not eye makeup, so I don't advice using only this and no cleanser, definitely not, but as a quick removal of most of my makeup, I love it.

This is a very nice and intense vitamin c treatment. Step one is a manual exfoliant, step two and three an intense vitamin c treatment. Gives skin a glow, helps even the skintone and smooths texture.

This was disappointing. Not only did it do absolutely nothing to hydrate my skin, it irritated it. I am throwing it out barely used, and will definitely never buy again. Still love many Aesop products, but definitely not this one.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Enzymatic Peel Mask 50ml ( discontinued )
This is a nice and gentle peel. It's nothing spectacular, but if you have skin that is a bit more sensitive and you are looking for a gentle peel, this could have been a good bet, except it seems it's been discontinued.

I've received quite a few sachets of this, that I've used spread out over April and the month before. These were my last two sachets. I have to say - I can't say I noticed anything in terms of results. It's possible it's good, but the sachets didn't let me use it long enough.

A nice decent hydrating gel. For a gel, it's quite moisturizing. If you are struggling to find a moisturizer that hydrates enough without making your skin oily, this could be interesting to take a look at.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel 15ml ( here )
I've used several full size tubes of this in the past. It was my go-to peel back in the day. It's a good peel. Gentle, but still gives good noticeable results.

Yves Saint Laurent Belle d'Opium Eau de Parfum 50ml ( discontinued )
I was a bit sad when I finished it, but as I have way too much perfume I am happy to be getting through some. This has been discontinued, so I won't go into too much detail, but it's a nice, quite commercial take on the cult classic "Opium". It has notes of incense, sandalwood, white pepper, Casablanca lily, fruity notes, tobacco, gardenia, patchouli, jasmine, peach, amber, mandarine, rose and vanilla.

BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask ( here )
This is so good! Deserves all the hype it gets! I've used this basically every night for about a year and a half. It leaves my lips super soft and comfortable, even throughout the coming day. BITE isn't available to buy in Norway (yet?), but if it was I would definitely no-doubt pick up another one!

Ole Henriksen Fresh Lips SPF 15 14g ( discontinued )
This is a decent lip balm, but nothing special. It's not even empty, but the packaging broke around the edges and it's spilling out everywhere so I had to get rid of it. That is, of course, really annoying, and would have kept me from re-purchasing, though it is already discontinued.

Dior 231 Bikini ( limited edition )
It was time for me to start downsizing my nail polish collection, and I've started out with these four. First off is a rather unimpressive pale orange colour from Dior. It looks decent on the nails, and performs well enough, but I don't absolutely love it and it's getting old, so I decided to get rid of it.

Chanel 473 Coromandel ( discontinued )
This one I've basically used up. It doesn't look like it in the picture, but there is barely any left. This has been my go-to nail polish for my toes for the last two years. It's the perfect red - quite neutral in terms of undertone, so it goes with everything, all year round.

Chanel 569 Emprise ( limited edition )
Emprise is quite beautiful, but the same goes here; I never fell absolutely in love with it, the colour isn't all that special, you need quite a few cotes to get it opaque (and I personally always want my nail polish to be opaque), and it's getting old.

They look too matte on the skin for my liking, and the white powder gave a bit of a white cast. They are a great bargain and I know lots of people love these, but unfortunately they weren't a match for my personal tastes, and so I also won't be buying again.

This is a beautiful powder. It adds a little bit of coverage, helps blend everything seamlessly together, and gives the skin a natural satin finish - not too shiny, not too matte. I've finished it completely, and definitely want to buy this again.

RMS beauty 'un' cover-up in 00 ( here )
The un-coverup is actually a really good concealer. It is a bit emolient, but once it sets it stays put all day. There's coconut oil in it, so it doesn't dry out the skin under the eyes, but like I said, still stays put really really well. It also covers quite a lot of sins. If you are looking to delve into more natural makeup, this is an excellent concealer option.

I love this! It covers pretty well for a highlighting pen, does an excellent job of brightening up the face, and the applicator - oh the applicator is fantastic! It has a cooling effect that feels absolutely heavenly in the morning. I've already bought another one!

I used to absolutely loved it, and then just stopped using it for no apparent reason. I picked it back up the past few months to finish the bottle. It definitely works, and I will probably buy a new bottle to help my makeup last through the summer months. This is definitely more of a summer product for me.

This was a massive disappointment! It does absolutely nothing for my lashes. The formula is wet and goes everywhere, it clumps, and my lashes gets a tiny bit longer, but that's it. Needless to say, this isn't really for me, but mascara is such a personal product that I'm sure there are many out there that have this as they're new favourite mascara. Like I said, just not for me.

This one, however, is fantastic! Adds length, volume, doesn't clump and holds a curl really well. Definitely buying this again.

This is a great clear brow gel. It keeps hairs in place, without being too crunchy or noticeable. I'm hooked on the Benefit Gimme Brow at the moment though, and will be sticking to that one.

I felt this did a tiny bit in terms of getting my eyebrow hairs to grow faster, but not enough to re-purchase, especially not considering the hefty price tag.

After hanging on to a lot of my eyeliners and lip liners for a long time without every reaching for them, this month I decided it was time for a serious de-clutter. First off I have this brown red on from Make Up For Ever. The colour is ok, the formula is a bit too dry and tough to work with, which is why I seldom reach for it.

This was such a fail. The matte beige side was super patchy and impossible to use for anything. The gold shade is a really unimpressive boring gold shade that lacks in terms of pigmentation.

Now for one I actually used up! A whole eyeshadow! Brule is a matte nude shade that I've used on my brow bone. If I didn't have a ridiculous amount of other shades of this, I'd consider re-purchasing as it really did it's job well.

Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush in 7 ( here )
This was pretty good as both a blush and matte lip color. The texture was a bit of a "moussey type"and applied pretty well to the cheeks. On the lips it had a matte and comfortable texture, though I found it drying after wearing it for a whole day.

Clarins Gloss Prodige in 02 Nude ( here )
This was a very nice nude gloss. It has a kind of metallic finish I could never get quite on board with, but besides that the color was beautiful, it had a really nice scent, and most of all - sat really comfortable on the lips without drying them out.

Chanel Glossimier in 178 ( limited edition )
This was part of a spring or summer collection a few years back, and quickly became one of my all-time favorite lip glosses. This and another one from the same collection. I've hung on to them for ever, not wanting to use them up, but realized a few months ago how silly that was as they will just end up going bad. This was a beautiful sheer popsicle red, that I am really hoping I'll eventually be able to dupe, if you know of any possible dupes - please let me know!

This was quite a nice product, that actually does work as both a cheek and lip color! It has a matte finish, and on the lips was a bright coral, on the cheeks a slightly too red for my personal tastes, but overall quite a beautiful blush. If you love a bright pop of color on your cheeks and/or lips, this is quite a stunning option. I haven't used it up completely, but as I am really trying to get through a lot of my lip products before they go bad, I decided that over half was good enough. Not a strategy I am wishing to continue with after I've downsized and started purchasing lip products again, but for now it's a necessary one if I am ever to get through my "collection".

Tom Ford Lipstick in 03 'Casablanca' ( here )
This was really though to get rid of, as it's one of my all-time favorite lipsticks. I've used it a lot, and there's not that much left, but it's still far from all used up. The reason I am getting rid of it is that it has gone bad. It stinks, and if i wear it my lips start to peel. I am really hoping I'll be able to get through my other Tom Ford lipsticks before they go off as well. Tom Ford lipsticks have a bit of a reputation of going bad quickly, so I am not sure I'll buy this again, though the color is one of the prettiest I've found. If you know of a dupe for Casablanca, please let me know!

March has been massive for empties! I finished heaps, and on top of that ended up de-cluttering quite a bit of makeup. It's been approximatively 2 years since I did a massive declutter last. There's a lot of stuff I kept then that I've gotten rid of now because I either just wasn't using it, or I just wanted to move on.

Ole Henriksen Power Bright x 1 ( here )
I've been absolutely loving this and the Power Peel for the past few months. The Power Bright is an intense vitamin C treatment. Step one is a manual scrub, then the next two steps perform the vitamin-c treatment. It gives me super smooth and soft skin that is brighter and has an amazing glow. I have a pack of 6 treatments and have started doing one a week.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water 400ml ( here )
A great dupe for the Bioderma, but it's not as good. The Bioderma is much better in terms of actually removing makeup. This one I find mostly moves makeup around. It's ok for me that goes in and cleanses the skin afterwards anyway, but if you like to do your cleansing in one step, this really won't do.

I don't normally neither like or use wipes, but these are the only ones I can use. It's efficient, yet gentle on the skin and eyes. I also find it helps even the skintone if I let the product absorb into the skin for a while before I do my evening skincare routine.

This is decent in terms of moisture, but I didn't find the texture to be all that nice. It felt a bit thick and not at all luxurious. It's ok, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing special. I probably won't buy it again, there are other things that are just so much better and feels nicer to use.

I love this! I've been using the Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster almost everyday since it was first released. I love that I can just mix this with my day cream and my skin gets a nice slight glow all-year round.

This is the best sunscreen I've used in a long time! It basically disappears almost immediately after it's been applied. It's un-detectable on the skin both in terms of it not giving any kind of white-cast, it being completely matte and not at all greasy, and it also doesn't disturb makeup neither when it goes on or in terms of staying power.

I'm ashamed to say I completely forgot I had this, and realised it had already expired. It was a nice sunscreen. Light, had that vitamin-c smell and felt nice on the skin. That's my recollection of it anyway, as I haven't used it for a while. I'm getting rid of it now as expired sunscreen is literally a waste of time to be using.

This is one of those pre-wash treatments. You are supposed to apply this throughout the hair before washing it, let it do it's thing, and then shampoo and wash as normal. A nice concept, but I never ended up using it. Mostly because it was such a hassle. The oil is coconut-based and hardens unless it's really warm. That meant I had to pour warm water in a bowl, put this in the water and let the contents slowly melt. Too time-consuming, and the results weren't anything that special either.

Kicks is a beauty retailer chain in Norway, and this is part of their own-brand products. I received this as a really generous gift with purchase. It smells nice, and hydrates well without being greasy. Definitely something I wouldn't mind getting or buying again.

Biotherm's deodorant is my favourite and has been for years. This version has the added "Eau Pure" scent, which is basically just a scent that smells clean. It's great - one I will definitely keep purchasing.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream fig leaf scented 30ml ( limited edition )
Clarins' original Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is one of my all-time favourite hand creams. This one, however, I had a terrible reaction to. I think it was the added scent. I ended up with a terrible rash all over my hands, and the cream did absolutely nothing in terms of hydration either. I'll keep buying the regular one, but will stay way clear of the scented ones.

My favourite hand cream for use during the day. Mostly due to the SPF. As a hand cream it's mostly just alright - moisturising, but nothing mayor. It's lightweight though, and absorbs super quickly.

One of my all-time favourite body oils. Really does get rid of excess water, and makes skin super smooth and soft.

I can't believe I actually finished a whole perfume! This is one of my favourites though, and one that works for any occasion, all year round. I will definitely buy it again, but am hoping I can wait until at least the holidays, and get it in a holiday set. If you are a fan or orange blossom, you will love this. The notes are African orange flower, jasmine, white honey, patchouli, rose and virginia cedar.

I've had this one my to-buy list for a long time. It's a beautiful flowery scent that is very unique. It has notes of coconut milk, ylang-ylang, musk, heliotrope, lemon, pink pepper, bergamot, benzoin and cedar.

This was a beautiful glitter top coat with white and red specks. Unfortunately I feel the polish has expired. It's runny and I can barely get the brush to grab any of the glitters anymore. It's really high time I started decluttering some more of my nail polishes, so in a way I'm happy to be one more down.

Balance Me Facial Expression Filler 15ml ( here )
I don't have lines yet, but used this as a pore-filling primer. It has a silicone feel, very similar to typical pore and line filling primers. It worked ok for that, nothing special. To be honest I'm not sure it's even meant to be used as a primer, so I can't fault it for not working exceptionally well as one, it's just the only way I found to use it. I received it as part of Lookfantastic subscribtion box a long time ago.

This, however, is one of my all-time favourite primers. It keeps makeup in place in even really warm weather, fills in pores and helps foundation go on much smoother. I'm onto my next bottle, which is bottle number more than I can count.

I bought this tinted brow gel last summer and have been obsessed. It keeps brows in place all day, and the tint adds definition to the brow making it appear much more natural. Love this, have moved onto a new tube already.

I did a clear out of my loose powders and got rid of a bunch, mostly as I just wasn't using them. This one is terrible - way too matte and looks unnatural on the skin. I also don't particularly enjoy their famous HD powder, so I'm basically going to not be buying too much powder from Make Up For Ever going forward.

Bare Minerals Original Foundation in N10 Fairly Light 8g ( here )
This I've just used up. I like the coverage and initial look it gives. It's not the most natural looking powder foundation in the world, but it's ok and looks good. The downside is it just doesn't last very long. At least not on my skin. I enjoyed using it, and am happy I used it all up, but I probably won't be buying it again.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light 10g ( here )
My all-time favourite powder. This gives skin a beautiful natural glow, the yellow tint counteracts any redness, and it keeps makeup lasting longer than if you don't set it. It's not mattifying, so if you have oily skin, perhaps this isn't for you, or at least use something else in the t-zone. Either way, I absolutely love it, and will always keep re-purchasing. I've moved on to my backup.

These two I've never ended up reaching for as they are just too dark for me, even the banana powder. I ordered these online, and while the darker one almost works as a bronzer, it's just too much hassle to use. The lid on these is so small it's hard to control how much goes on the brush, and to get the product on evenly.

Finally I have a lot of lip products I'm getting rid of. First I have two YSL glosses. These are nice, but way too glittery. I don't think they even make these anymore, but if they do I'd say steer clear if you don't enjoy glitter, but if you do love a glittery lipgloss you'll love these!

This one I've kept for so long even though I never used it. I love the colour and the finish, so I really wanted to make it work. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a mess. It applies unevenly, bleeds and dried my lips out. The other Glossimers I have and have had in the past are much better, so I guess this one was a bit of a dud.

These two are lovely, but they are old and I'm just not reaching for them anymore. If you love a gloss to be more on the sheer side, giving your lips more of a tint you should check these out. They also don't dry lips out and are surprisingly long-lasting.

This one I've actually used up, so that makes me happy. This has a nice minty flavour, goes on evenly, feels comfortable on the lips and the colour is a beautiful natural pink. If I didn't have a stressful amount of lip products already that I was trying to go through, I'd consider getting the full-size of this one.

These I've loved and used tonnes, but I just realised they are a bit old and it felt like it was time to let them go. My favourites have been Honey (nude pink) and Rendezvous (orange).

Better late than never; here are my favourites for the month of March (and a little bit of April).

First off I want to start with two items I recently bought by Tom Ford. I finished my my massive Tom Ford bronzer in Terra just recently. I wanted to buy that again, but found myself interested in trying his new formula, and the other shade; Gold Dust ( here ). Gold Dust is warmer in tone, and isn't completely matte. It's different to Terra, but I absolutely love it. It gives my skin a gorgeous and much-needed hint of warmth.

The other product was also released as part of his Soleil collection; it's the Cream and Powder Eye Color in 06 Young Adonis ( here ). The cream shade is apparently the infamous Platinum shade (I say apparently only as I've never seen Platinum myself, and so can not speak to wether it's true or not), and the glittery shade in the lid is "Young Adonis". The colour is a gorgeous darker brown taupey bronze shade - that perfect in the middle shade that is neither too light or too dark for basically every and all occasion. When you add the glitter shade on top it gives it dimension, lifts the eye and looks just as incredible as any Tom Ford glitter top coat looks. Definitely one I recommend you pick up if you can still find it!

Then I want to talk about a brush, which is something I rarely do; the Rae Morris 8.5 Créme Shadow Shader ( here ). I use this to apply my cream shadows in the formulation of the Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury ones; which is a lighter almost mousse-like cream shadow. This applies it beautifully; evenly, with plenty of shine and also helps blend the edges out perfectly. It also let's me be a lot more precise than when just applying with a finger. If you use cream shadows a lot I really recommend giving this brush a try.

Then for a base product; the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint in Light 1 Finland ( here ). I've basically loved every Nars base product I've ever tried, so it shouldn't come as a surprise; but I love this one as well. It is light-medium in terms of coverage; but covers more after it sets. The finish is velvet matte, just as it says in the name, and it lasts really well throughout the day.

Finally I have a perfume; the Tom Ford White Patchouli ( here ). It is a beautiful white floral, focused around patchouli. The fragrance itself is top quality; it opens a bit harsh, but changes into a soft floral as it evolves. Then it lasts the whole day. Besides patchouli and white flowers, it has notes of coriander, peony, ambrette, bergamot, incense, woody notes, rose and jasmine.

I can't believe we've already been through two whole months of the year! Empties-wise I have to say I've been finishing up a lot of products I've been working on for a long time. This month I finally used up some more hair products (those take aages) and some makeup as well!

Vichy Idéal Soleil SPF 30 Hydrating Milk 300 ml ( here )
This is only half empty. It's not that I skip sunscreen, I've just stopped sunbathing all-together and find I seldom need to use it. That and the summers in Norway aren't necessarily all that hot and sunny, so the body sunscreens don't get a lot of use from me. Still, I do need a bottle so I'll buy a new one for this summer. I'm throwing this away as it's two years old and probably has expired.

My favourite body lotion. I've already started using my back-up.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 100 ml ( here )
This is one of the best hand creams out there, at least for use during the day. It's not at all greasy, absorbs super quickly and hydrates really well. This is the hand cream I've kept at my desk at the office, and I'll definitely be buying a new tube to replace it.

Oribe Balm d'Or Heat Styling Shield 100ml ( here )
My favourite leave-in conditioner. This is amazing. It makes my hair super soft, shiny and easy to style - all without weighing it down at all. My hair is still super light and I can get some much-needed volume. It's really expensive, but I will definitely re-purchase. Possibly the best leave-in conditioner I've used ever.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment 118 ml ( here )
This is a good leave-in treatment as well, but not as good as the Oribe. Compared to the Oribe one it weighs hair down a bit, and my hair doesn't feel as amazingly soft and shiny after I've used it. Oribe aside though, it's a good leave-in, but I've used better. I'd go for one of Kerastase's Thermique's over this, if you don't feel like shelling out for the Oribe one.

BlowPro Faux Dry Dry Shampoo ( here )
Sorry to be so repetitive, but this is another favourite I've used up this month. The best dry shampoo I've ever used. This actually makes my hair feel like I've just washed it. It gives that amazing clean feeling to the scalp and the powder mattes away any shine, just like a face-powder. If you haven't tried this yet - do - you will be amazed, it's absolutely mind-blowingly fantastic!

Diptyque Liquidambar 190g ( limited edition )
This was one of Diptyque's three limited edition holiday candles last year, so 2015. It smells really good, I wish I'd bought a back-up, If they re-release it I will definitely be buying it again. It's a beautiful warm amber scent. If you love amber, definitely check this out should it ever be released again.

Diptyque Menthe Verte 190g ( here )
From the regular line-up; I kind of wanted Menthe Verte to be a dupe for Cire Trudon's Abd el Khader - which is my favourite candle of all time. It wasn't. Still, it's a nice scent. It definitely has that slight bitterness to it from the green tea, and then the beautiful sweet and fresh mint makes it all come together in a refreshing and warm scent. Still, it's similar enough to Abd el Khader that I'll be sticking to that one going forward, but if you won't or can't buy Cire Trudon, I'd give this one a try.

Zoya Remove+ 237 ml ( here )
This is a decent nail polish remover. Nothing all that special, but it's not bad. The packaging is the best part - I love the pump. I also love how Zoya products have less chemicals in them, and therefore have re-purchased this.

Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly 30ml ( review - here )
This was really good, and especially for the price. It's super light, absorbs really quickly, but still moisturises really well. I couldn't even wear it everyday, because after 3-4 days my skin just wouldn't need it anymore. If you have dry skin and have difficulties finding a moisturiser that hydrates enough, without being greasy and interfering with your makeup, I'd definitely give this one a try.

This is one of three of these treatments that come in a box. This is my first one that I've finished, I'm about to finish my second one that will be in my March empties. I've been absolutely obsessed with it since I started using it. It gives my skin the most amazing glow and has evened out my skintone like nothing else. When I've used up the whole kit I'll definitely buy another one, this stuff is incredible.

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil 15ml ( here )
This is nice, a nice rosehip oil, but I definitely still prefer my favourite version by Pai. The Ole Henriksen one just doesn't give the same immediate results that one does. Still, it's a decent rosehip oil, but if you have the choice between the two; I'd say go for the Pai.

Kanebo Sensai Silky Purifying Cleansing Oil 8ml ( here )
This is a very nice cleansing oil. Not too greasy, and easy to get off. I still prefer the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Oil though.

La Prairie Advanced Marine Biology Day Cream 5ml ( discontinued )
This used to be one of my favourite day creams. It's been discontinued, so no need to go into great detail, but it was a good one.

Kanebo Sensai Silky Purifying Cleansing Cream 30ml ( here )
This is a great morning cleansing cream. It's light in texture, doesn't irritate or make skin red, and washes off easily.

Nude Progenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil ( here )
I love this oil. It hydrates, balances and makes skin plump and radiant. I've got the full-size and have been through a few bottles already.

Ole Henriksen Power Peel 4ml x 3 ( here )
This is a really good treatment. The first step is a manual scrub, then there's a two-step peel. First you apply the peel in "step 2" and then you add the "step 3" mask on top of the "step 2" peel. It's really good. It's a thorough peel, quite potent, but it didn't irritate my skin. My skin is not sensitive, but it can lean towards sensitive and there are definitely the occasionall product it reacts to. If you are looking for a more "serious" at-home peel, I'd recommend giving this one a try.

There's never too much to say about a sachet, but it was good. I liked it fair enough. Didn't bother my skin, didn't suffocate it, but provided enough hydration.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Light 2 Mont Blanc 30ml ( review - here )
One of my all-time favourite foundations. This is the fourth bottle I've gone through. I wanted to go at least a month without re-purchasing, to use my other foundations, but failed. I've grown so used to this I just had to buy it again, I need it on-hand. It is extremely thin in texture, but covers well and is really buildable. I love buildable foundations. They make it so easy to get ready quicker as I can just build it up where I need more, and honestly skip concealer if I really don't have the time. This also lasts really well and looks super natural.

Clarins Supra Volume Mascara in 01 Intense Black 3.5ml ( here )
An great mascara! It's really good! Gave lenght and volume, and no clumping. The serum in it really works - my lashes are definitely longer since using this. The sample also lasted me almost 2 and a half months! That's incredible!

La Mer The Powder in 01 Crème 25g ( review - here )
I'm sad this is finished, but as I've been working on getting through it a small part of me is happy I used it all up as well. This is a really nice powder - keeps makeup on all day, but with a semi-matte completely natural finish. It's recently been re-formulated and re-packaged so this isn't available anymore unfortunately. If it was I probably would have re-purchased.

Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in 02 Terra 21g ( review - here )
Terra has been one of my favourite bronzers since getting it, and I am definitely sad it's all gone. There's stilll a bit around the edges, and I've been trying to use that, but it has a hardened top surface, and my brushes get too damaged. Tom Ford seem to have a new bronzer formulation, that I will be excited to try. I hope it's as good, or even better, than the old formula, and really hope the colour is exactly the same - as that is part of what makes Terra so good for my pale skin.

For the last month of full-on winter I have quite a few long-time staples, some new favourites and a sexy perfume to share.

Burberry Eye Colour in Almond ( here )
As you can tell by the massive pan - I really love this eyeshadow. Formula wise it's fantastic - long lasting, buildable and easy to blend. The colour is also perfect - dark enough to really deepen the crease, but not so dark I can't wear it to work. I've barely used anything else in my crease for the past few months, and I will definitely have to force myself if I want to use anything else.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Shadow in 'Marie Antoinette' ( here )
Another item I've been obsessed with for the past few months, for basically the exact same reasons as with Burberry's Almond eyeshadow - formula wise it's long lasting, buildable and easy to blend. And the colour, the colour! Just the same as with Almond - dark enough to make a difference, not too dark for everyday office wear. It's also just the right amount of sheen and shine.

This is fantastic! I'm on my third "ampule" out of the three in total that come in the box. This gives my skin the most amazing glow and has really helped with evening out my skintone and fading pigmentation marks. I'm absolutely addicted and will be moving straight on to a new box after finishing this one!

Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Fluid Foundation ( here )
I've never in the past been able to use Guerlain foundations as they were never light enough for my skintone. With the release of the new Lingerie de Peau they finally came out with some light enough shades, and I was so excited to finally try a Guerlain foundation. I love it. It's light in coverage, gives a nice semi-matte glow, and looks super natural. It doesn't have the longest staying power, but other than that it's perfect. I use the shade 01N Very Light.

Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum Limited Edition ( here )
I haven't used many Gucci perfumes, but after smelling this I just had to have it. It's a beautiful floral and citrus scent, that is still quite sexy and dark. It has notes of orange blossom, ylang-ylang, bergamot, Casablanca Lily, ambergris, sandalwood and vanilla. If you like the sound of that, you better be quick because it's limited edition and seems to be quite popular!

Review: Burberry Wet & Dry Glow Eye Colour in 002 Nude and 003 Shell

Burberry make some of my all-time favourite eyeshadows. I have quite a lot, and I always return to them when I need something fuss-free that just works. This goes for both the mattes and satin finishes. When Burberry announced they were re-formulating their eyeshadows I was gutted, but of course also had to give the new formula a go.

The new eyeshadows look exactly like the old ones in terms of packaging. They come housed in the now-signature gunmetal, with the Burberry pattern embossed. It's all very sleek and beautiful. The products also have a nice weight to them.

The new "Wet & Dry Glow" formulation is best compared to the old satin finish as they had a bit of a shine to them. Even though the new "Wet & Dry Silk" formulation will be more similar. The Glow formula is definitely a lot more shiny than the old one. It's still nothing over-the-top and the new formula is still very office-appropriate and subtle. It's of the now-everywhere gelé formulation, that can be used both wet and dry. I never use eyeshadows wet, I just don't like how it feels, but I'm sure you can get these to give more shine if you want, by using them wet.

I apply these with my finger. You can definitely use a brush, but I find with this type of formula, I definitely get the best results when simply "swiping" it on where I want it. I add it to the lower lid, and blend out the edges with a clean finger. This actually works really well. Similar to how I would use a cream eyeshadow.

Lasting power is great. They basically last all day. There is a bit of fading, but it fades evenly, so my eye makeup still looks nice all day long. These are top-quality eyeshadows, some of the best I've used, right in line with previous Burberry eyeshadows.

Shell is a light golden champagne colour. It's slightly warm and is an absolutely gorgeous lid-shade. If you have a darker complexion it would be beautiful as an inner-corner highlight. Lighter champagne colours tend to be cool-toned, or even with a slight green tint, so it's less common to find a nice golden one, that still doesn't look like you're wearing gold eyeshadow. It basically just gives the lid a nice shine that looks super natural. Perfect for those of you who want a super natural eye look.

Nude is a classic shiny mid-tone brown. Nothing all-that special in itself, but the wearable and super flattering colour in this really great formula, still makes it worthy of picking up. This is a colour I use as a lid shade to the office all the time, Shell as well for that matter. These are the kinds of colours you need both work effortlessly on busy mornings, and last all day through late hours and working lunches.

It's safe to say Burberry still make some of my absolute favourite eyeshadows. While I'm still on a bit of a buying freeze when it comes to eyeshadows, I can't wait to eventually try more of their colours. If you are looking for that fool-proof, easy to use, lasts all day, no fuzz everyday eyeshadow - give Nude and Shell a look.

Review: La Prairie Ice Crystal Emulsion

La Prairie's Ice Crystal Emulsion is a product I've raved about previously in favourites posts, and as I'm about to finish my first bottle I thought it was high time I wrote a full review.

La Prairie's Ice Crystal range is meant to target the first signs of ageing. As I'm nearing my thirties (just turned 28 eek!) I thought this would be the perfect line for me to try. Especially as their other moisturisers are much more hardcore anti-ageing. It adresses fine lines, dullness and dryness, whilst still being a lighteweight mosituriser, perfect for daytime wear.

The Ice Crystal Complex is created from flowers that survive on the top of the swiss alps through cold harsh conditions. The method in which they survive is what La Prairie set out to re-create in a skincare product. They help make skin stronger and able to better withstand the ageing effects of daily life.

Another reason why I wanted to try this is that it's one of La Prairie's few moisturiser offerings that come with a pump. I am no stranger to moisturisers that come in jars, and if I have to I'll use those too, but I definitely prefer a pump. It's not just that it's more hygienic and keeps the products active ingredients for longer, it's also that it's easier and quicker to use. Again, perfect for a daytime moisturiser that typically gets applied in the early hours of the morning. Beyond the pump the bottle itself is also absolutely gorgeous.

This moisturiser is fantastic. It's super lightweight, absorbs almost immediately - but still hydrates really, really well. It doesn't make my skin oily throughout the day, it doesn't interfere with makeup, and I can't feel I even have it on. My skin just feels perfectly hydrated and balanced and happy all day. I can't speak for fine lines as I don't really have any yet to notice any improvement on, but my skin is definitely glowing, radiant and hydrated.

You don't need to shell out as much as this moisturiser costs if you really don't feel like spending that kind of money. There are definitely cheaper options that are very comparable. Having said that, the texture, feel and results I get from using this, makes it absolutely worth it for me. So much so, that I've already bought a back-up to have ready when this one is used up. Other daytime moisturisers for me tend to either be a bit too oily, or just not moisturising enough. This gives my skin what it needs exactly, perfectly. It did this in the fall when the weather was warmer, and now in the winter when it's really, really cold. It's like it finetunes how much hydration it provides according to whatever my skin needs at that moment, on that day. I can safely say I'm addicted to this moisturiser, and highly recommend it.

Sorry about another delay between posts, but work is continuing to be incredibly time-consuming. I've barely been home to sleep the past two weeks. Either way - I'm excited to bring you the very first empties post of 2017.

The Body Shop Dead Sea Salt Scrub 350 ml ( here )
This is part of the Body Shop's Spa of the World range, which has a lot of products I really, really enjoy. This is a bit more expensive than the regular body scrubs, but you do get 100 ml more product, so it's actually not more expensive if you break it down. Either way - it's fantastic! It gives a really gritty and good scrub, doesn't dissolve into nothing after one second, doesn't leave an impossible-to-get-rid-of oily film on the skin, but does leave it smooth and soft. Definitely a scrub I want to buy again.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Scrub 250 ml ( limited edition )
Another Body Shop scrub. This didn't do much scrubbing, but I enjoyed using it on my chest and back as my skin there is a bit more sensitive. I absolutely love the Virgin Mojito scented products the Body Shop did, so for the scent alone I absolutely loved this. I hope they bring it back or make the scent permanent - it's probably the best smelling body products I've used ever! Seriously.

The Body Shop body butters are all very nice and it's a product I return to time and time again. The Shea Butter scent was nice, subtle, but nothing too fantastic either. I'll probably buy another scent next time, though this wasn't bad in any way.

Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers Perfumed Body Lotion 500 ml ( here )
I don't buy much Elizabeth Arden products, but I saw this last time I was in need of a body lotion and thought I'd give it a try. It was quite nice actually. It was moisturising, but light and absorbed quickly. It had a nice fresh scent, but nothing overpowering, and nothing that lingered. It wasn't so fantastic that I absolutely have to buy this again, but I certainly wouldn't mind getting it again should I come across it next time I need a body lotion.

MUJI still make my all-time favourite cotton, and I'll keep re-purchasing for as long as they keep making it.

Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace Fragrance Mist 250 ml ( here )
I'm not really into body mists as I have so much perfume, so I used this up as a room spray. The scent is nice, especially if you love vanilla - so if you love body mists or light scents, and vanilla-fragrance, you might really enjoy this one.

Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex 100ml ( here )
This is my second or third tube of this. It's a really good handcream. It nourishes and hydrates really well, without being greasy or leaving residue. Will definitely be buying again.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc 150 ml ( here )
My favourite toner for my morning skincare routine. I've been using this - and nothing else - for years now and have no intention or desire to neither switch or even try anything else.

Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Instant Infusion Treatment Toner 120 ml ( here )
I bought this after MakeupMLC recommended it. She compared it to the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, and so I obviously had to give it a try when I had the chance. Fresh isn't available in Norway (not even through online shopping, sites that sell it won't ship it here), so I bought this on a trip to London. If I could buy it again, I most definitely would. It's a thicker lotion that really nourishes the skin. It also helped keep my skin clear and skintone more even. It's a really good toner. If you have fresh available where you live, you should give it a try.

Another long-time favourite product. I've been through more tubes than I can recall and continue to re-purchase. I'm onto my next one.

Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths x 10 ( here )
I typically don't like cleansing wipes, these are the only ones I'll use. They smell really nice and refreshing, and do a decent job at removing makeup. It's not so good for mascara, and it definitely doesn't take all makeup off. I use this as the first step, and then I wash my face. This is not something you can use alone to get your makeup off and clean your skin- it will not, at all, do the job on it's own.

Shiseido Ultimune Eye Power Infusing Eye Concentrate 15 ml ( review - here )
This was decent, but not the best eye serum I've ever used, and for that reason I probably won't be buying it again. It was nice, and made the eye area look healthier, plumper and better than if I didn't use it - but compared to other eye serums, the effects were much less noticeable.

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil 30 ml ( review - here )
One of my all-time favourite face oils. I've tried to use other things since finishing this, but notice such a difference when I'm not using this that I just had to open my new one the other day. Immediately I notice my skin being just overall happier, balanced, clearer, plumper and perfectly hydrated. I'll probably always keep re-purchasing this.

Clarins UV PLUS Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF 50 30 ml ( here )
This is my favourite sunscreen currently. I moved right onto my second tube after finishing this one. It's fantastic - really lightweight, no whitecast, not at all greasy, absorbs almost immediately and protects from the sun. If you are struggling to find a sunscreen for everyday, definitely give this one a try - it's hands down one of the best sunscreens I've ever used.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum 2 ml ( review - here )
I've used countless bottles of this serum over the years, and I still love it. It's super lightweight and gives skin a beautiful glow. I love getting samples of this and using them when I travel, as this makes my skin look a lot more healthy and well-rested than I typically feel after a long day (or night) of travelling.

This is a really nice moisturiser. It's on the more intense side, so I used it as a night cream. Having said that, it has a very matte finish, so if your skin needs a lot of nutrition and hydration also during the day - this could be the perfect cream for you. I find it plumped the skin, hydrated deeply and kept my skin in overall good condition. I'm probably going to buy this again.

La Mer Creme de La Mer 60 ml ( review - here )
My all-time favourite night cream ever. This is just a miracle worker. I know that's also how they market it, but I'm telling you - it's the word that genuinely comes to mind. Any skin problem I face - be it blemishes, general discomfort, skin out of balance, dry - anything: apply this, go to sleep and wake up with perfect or near-perfect skin. If not perfect continue for 2-3 nights and then, definitely, perfect skin. It doesn't matter what the problem is, La Mer always fixes my skin. It's insanely expensive, but I see it as an investment in good-skin insurance. I will always keep re-purchasing this!

Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask 75 ml ( here )
This is a nice hydrating mask. It can be massaged into the skin and be more or less invisible on the skin, so it's definitely one you can sleep with or use on long-haul flights if you enjoy masking while flying. It gives skin a nice boost of hydration, and not much else, but if hydration is what you are after this is definitely a good one.

Giorgio Armani Maestro UV Skin Defense Primer SPF 50 30 ml ( review - here )
I quite enjoyed this. It was a good primer in itself; foundation went on smoother and lasted a bit longer. Not the best primer, but decent. The added bonus of SPF 50 is what sold me on it. Merging these two steps into one saves me quite a bit of time every morning. I've bought the Murad Invisiblur Primer to try next, but if I don't enjoy that one I'll return to this one.

Benefit They're Real Mascara 3.0 g ( here )
I finally got to try this much-hyped mascara and I get what it's all about - good and bad. It definitely gives long and thicker amazing lashes. Truly one of the better mascaras I've ever used. I also completely agree that it's near impossible to get off. Notice I said near impossible, not impossible. With a nice dual phase eye makeup remover it definitely all comes off, you just need a bit of patience. Even with it being so hard to get off, I do want to get the full size.

So here we are - at the start of a brand new year! Since I decided to skip my December and yearly favourites all together, I have quite a few products I'm excited to share with you today. There's more than these, but as I try to keep these posts limited to 5-6 products, I'll talk about them next time.

First off I'll start with the perfume this time. Paco Rabanne isn't a brand I've normally been very drawn to, but I received a sample of this and absolutely loved it. Paco Rabanne Olympea Intense ( here ) is an absolutely gorgeous vanilla-based scent - and when have I ever been able to resist any perfume with a heavy vanilla influence? It's still a bit deep and perfect for winter, but it's got a nice sweet "kick" to it. The bottle is beautiful, with a gorgeous amber-effect in the lid. The notes are simple; just vanilla, salt and amber. I really urge you to give it a whiff.

Now for some makeup items - both for the purpose of undereye brightening! First off we have something that is absolutely brand new to me; the Marc Jacobs Remedy Concealer Pen ( here ). This is a classic highlighting pen, but with pretty decent coverage. The shade I have gives a nice brightening effect, even to my fair/light skintone. It blends seamlessly, looks super natural, lasts really well aaand there's the added bonus of the applicator. The applicator is metal and has an amazing cooling effect. I absolutely love that part about it, it feels incredible when applying and I swear I feel it helps tighten the skin around my eyes and combat undereye bags.

My second under-eye favourite this month is something I've been using for a few months now. After finishing my Armani Corrector a few months back, I landed on the Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid in Pink ( here ) to replace it with. It brightens really well and combats any under-eye darkness, whilst still looking natural. It doesn't leave any kind of pink cast and doesn't disturb any makeup I put on top. It's basically all one can ask of a corrector.

Finally I have one more makeup item, and skincare. I've raved about the Guerlain Meteorites Primer for ages, and finally decided to give the much hyped Guerlain L'Or Primer ( here ) a go. Infused with real gold, it's supposed to help smooth out the skin, whilst firming the skin and giving it a glow. I would say yes, yes and yes to all of the above. It definitely has a tightening effect, it definitely gives my skin a glow (without making it oily) and it definitely smooths the skin and helps foundation look more even. It's a bit moisturising, and I notice that after consecutive use my skin tends to get shiny after a few hours. So I use it for more special occasions or here and there. Either way; it's great and you should try it.

The last product I'll be talking about today is the La Prairie Ice Crystal Emulsion ( here ). My god this is great stuff! It hydrates my normal/dehydrated combination skin really well, but without making my skin oily at all. It gives a nice glow to my skin, without, again, making it oily. It's soothing, it helps heal any imperfections and it's helped with evening out my skintone. And it comes with a pump. Basically the perfect day cream.

Finally - here it is; my last empties post of 2016! It's really, really late, but I couldn't skip it, so at last let's see what the total numbers are for the past year.

Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner 300ml ( here )
I finished the shampoo in November, and the conditioner shortly thereafter, right at the beginning of December. I love Joico. Basically everything I've tried from the brand, I've absolutely loved, and the Moisture Recovery line is no different. I used to use the K-Pak products religiously when I was bleaching my hair, and it did a wonderful job at keeping my hair in great condition. For now, my hair mostly just needs moisture, which this gives a plenty. It keeps my hair soft, shiny, manageable and hydrated, all without weighing it down. I've already re-purchased and am using a new bottle.

Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray 246ml ( here )
This is really good! It really keeps my hairstyle locked-in - without it looking like I've sprayed hairspray on it. The only downside is I find it a bit drying on my hair - but what hairspray isn't? It also doesn't smell half bad.

Loréal ELVITAL Extraordinary Clay Clay-In-Mask Pre-Shampoo Treatment ( here )
A scalp mask like this is something I've never used before, so I was really excited to get this sample in a magazine. I have two samples and have so far only used the one. I can't say I noticed much of a difference. Perhaps some, I'm not sure. I'll have a bit of a better view on it after I've used the second one I hope.

Versace Bright Crystal Shower Gel 200ml ( here )
This was quite nice. It lathered well, was gentle on the skin and smelled really good. If you love the perfume you'll enjoy this.

Filorga Hand-Absolute 50ml ( here )
I was quite disappointed in this to be honest. I had expectations of it being a really nurturing hand cream, but found it did not do too much at all. It's fine to use as a handcream for during the day, but for the purpose of being an overnight intensive treatment, it didn't quite deliver.

This is the french "version" of latisse. As some of you will know I've been trying to grow out my eyebrows for ages. I was just about to give up, when I thought I'd give it a last ditch effort by trying something like this. I'm pleased to say it actually works! I've seen a definite improvement in both my brows being fuller, and hairs that haven't grown in ages due to plucking when I was younger, are still finally (though still slowly) starting to re-appear. I'm onto another bottle - hopefully by the end of that one I'll be finished with my "brow-rehab".

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster 15ml ( here )
Ole Henriksen isn't a brand I've used too much in the past, but I've recently gotten a few samples, and bought a few products from the brand. One of the products I was most excited to try was of course the famous Truth Serum. I'll say it's a very good vitamin c serum, but I have used better. Ling's version is still my absolute favourite - but this is on par with a lot of the other good ones I've used.

This was nice. It's got some exfoliating beads in there, which gives a slight exfoliation. It's a bit sparse, so it didn't irritate my sometimes sensitive skin. If you enjoy the Glam Glow mud mask, but find them overly expensive, perhaps this would make a good substitute?

Filorga Optim-Eyes Lotion 110ml ( here )
I loved this. It's supposed to have a treatment that conditions the eyelashes and make them grow longer. I'm not sure I really noticed anything in terms of that exactly, but as an eye-makeup remover I absolutely loved it. It's super efficient, not too oily and most importantly; didn't irritate my sensitive eyes. I'm hooked and have already re-purchased!

Filorga Nutri-Filler Lips ( here )
Another winner by Filorga. This is supposed to make your lips bigger and I definitely think it works. It wont take you from 2 to 200, but it does slightly plump up the lips and make them look full. Most importantly, to me at least, they do a really good job of hydrating the lips - and keeping them hydrated, even after the product's worn off. It's been sold out everywhere in Norway for a while now, but it's at the top of my to-buy list for whenever they get it back in stock!

Elf Tone Correcting Powder 13.5g ( here )
I've used this as an under-eye setting powder and absolutely loved it! It gives a really nice brightening effect under the eyes, whilst still being natural - and keeps concealer in place really well. Definitely a product I'll be looking to re-purchase.

My all-time favourite under-eye highlighting concealer. I've basically been using only this for years. There's been a few new ones here and there that I've tried, but I always return to this one as it's just so much better. It gives good coverage (for a highlighting pen), and brightens up like no other highlighting pen I've ever used. If you haven't checked this out yet, you need to - you'll love it, trust me!

Shiseido Full Lash Volume Mascara 2ml ( here )
This was quite a disappointment. I have friends that absolutely love it, but it did just absolutely nothing for my lashes. All cards on the table; this has been hanging around in my samples bag for quite a while, so that could be the reason for it seemingly underperforming.

Rms Cream Eye Shadow in 'lunar' 4.25g ( here )
This gives a really nice natural sheen to the lid. If you love a natural makeup look and natural makeup this could be something to look into. Especially if your makeup collection isn't that big. I've used quite a bit of it, so I'm not that upset that half is going in the bin, but still.. I probably won't be buying as many natural products until I've pared down my makeup collection further and can actually commit to using a product at least fairly regularly.

So there you have it - my total numbers for 2016! All combined that's 292 products total, if I've done my math right. That's a crazy amount of products - almost 300! Even more crazy is the fact that I've got so much left! 49 makeup items I'm quite happy with. Especially considering I haven't done any project panning. At least not until the end of the year. The project 7 pan I did at the end of the year really did push me to use up those extra seven products that I wouldn't have finished up otherwise. I also have to say I quite enjoyed panning again (after being burnt out about a year ago), so I'll definitely be looking to doing some more panning projects this year. Either way - a good year for empties. I made quite a good and noticeable dent in my "stash" and hopefully 2017 will be even better! I'd really like to clear out another whole drawer - but we will see! :)

Project 7 Pan: Finale

So it seems I took a bit of an hiatus. I promised you my yearly favourites round-up, but unfortunately I'm not going to do it this year. Work has been super hectic, I've barely been home to sleep and then run back. Beyond that I'm just not excited to write a yearly favourites post. I'm not sure why. I guess 2016 was mostly for me about trying to finally use up a lot of ok products that were still hanging around. I did certainly find a lot of new things as well, but I'm just not excited to write such a big post, so I'll skip it this year. That goes for a December favourites as well. What I will be posting though, is my finale of my Project 7 Pan and after this post, my December empties.

ELF Complexion Perfection Powder
First off let's talk about the product I did finish - the seventh one in this project, making it a success. I've used this - from start to finish, as an undereye setting powder. There wasn't much left when I started the project, but as the area I was using for is so small, it did still take until the end to completely use it up.

La Mer The Powder
The other two products left in the project was two I never really thought I'd be able to finish up entirely. One of them - the La Mer Powder - I made surprisingly great progress on though! I've kept using it after finishing the project, and since these pictures were taken, and one month on I'm getting down to the very bottom. I'll give it another month, two months max, and I think I'll definitely have used this up by then.

Chanel Rouge Allure in '73 Clandestine'
Finally I have my dark red vampy Chanel lipstick. I never set out to finish this, but I wish I had used it a bit more. I'm happy I made any progress at all though, as I would've barely remembered to touch this had it not been in the project. I only used it once between my second update and this post, so there wasn't any progress this time. I'll give this another year of use, and then I'll probably be getting rid of it before 2018 rolls around, but we'll see. Not because I'd want to get rid of it - it's a great lipstick, both in terms of shade and formula, but it's getting old. Either way, as mentioned, we'll see. I'm happy I put it in this project and saw some progress on it though.

All in all I'd say this was a very successfull project. I finished 7 products, as was my goal, and the two products I'm left with I still made some progress, the La Mer Powder I'll have finished soon enough. Doing this project definitely got me back into project panning, and I think I'll be doing another one pretty soon. Be on the lookout if you enjoy panning posts!

Review: Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in 'Space Cowboy'

Seeing as we are right in the middle of the "party season" I thought it was an excellent time to write about this glittery little number. These were released quite a few years back, but I didn't pick one up until the sometime last year. Since buying 'Space Cowboy', it has become quite the handbag staple for me - now let me tell you why.

Long-time readers will know of my infatuation with Tom Fords glitter eyeshadows. This of course ment it didn't take much for me to crumble to Urban Decays Moondust Eyeshadows glittery goodness. Space Cowboy is one of just three more neutral shades in the Moondust line-up, at least out of what's available in-store here in Norway. In addition to Space Cowboy there is 'Cosmic' which is a light pink shade, and 'Diamond Dog' - a darker brown. The rest are either very dark shades, or with more bright colours. All are beautiful, I simply ended up getting Space Cowboy because it's the type of shade I know I'd get the most use out of. There are also more beautiful neutral shades exclusive to Urban Decay's own website.

Space Cowboy swatches beautifully on the hand. It's a warmer beige with lots of silver glitter. While the payoff is decent in a swatch, I find it difficult to get much of the colour payoff on the lid. Even when applied using my finger, and you definitely need to use fingers when applying this, brushes will give you absolutely nothing. So I apply this like I do my Tom Ford glitters - with fingers, as a top coat over other lid shades. This was how I intended to use it when buying it, and I absolutely love it.

The reason this has become a handbag staple is because I find it's perfect for taking your makeup look from daytime to nighttime. If I am ever going out after work, I simply dab some of this on top of the makeup I'm already wearing and voila! - instant glam. The glitter also adds a bit of life back to makeup that is starting to wear off, and a face showing signs of having been at work all day.

If you hate the thought of glitter because you think it looks childish - then go swatch this, because this is a lot more sophisticated, as far as glitter goes. If you know what I'm talking about, have tried Tom Ford's glitters and hate those as well, then no, you will probably not like this. For everybody else, I urge you to give these a nice swatch and then try - try - to go home without it (you won't! :). These are just stunning, and I would absolutely recommend picking one up to keep in your makeup bag!

Empties: November 2016

November has been a really good month in terms of using stuff up! I've got a few products I've been using for ages that I all like and enjoy, but since I have ended up throwing away a whole lot of expired products in the past, I am excited to be getting into a pattern of basically not risking that. Beyond that I've finished a lot of makeup products this month which is really, really exciting as that really is what takes the absolute longest.

The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion 250 ml ( here )
I know writing anything about feet or foot creams are a bit of a taboo in the blogosphere, and then me starting an entire post with a foot cream must be some kind of blasphemy... But! We spend all our time standing on our feet, walking on our feet, running on our feet, I could go on. It's important to take care of them. And so to keep them soft and in generally good condition, I like to use a foot cream - every morning after my shower. This one by the Body Shop isn't anything spectacular, but it's good, and it absorbs quickly. I've got another one I bought when the Body Shop had foot products on sale, and am quite happy to move on to another bottle.

I've been through so many bottles of this. Anything else in a 500 ml bottle would have me so sick of it by the end I wouldn't go near it for years, but this one I still keep returning to. It's fantastic, and an absolute bargain!

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter 200 ml ( here )
I love the Body Shop's body butters, and this one did perform well, but my god the smell. It was so fake I felt like I was smearing crushed up vitamin C pills all over my body. It smelled like citrus scented toilet cleaner. Basically, love the product, hate the smell. Good thing there are so many other scents to choose from, so I'll have no problem steering well clear of this one in the future!

Fushi Organic Calendula Oil 100 ml ( here )
Another regular feature on the blog. This hasn't reached as high a status as Fushi's Rosehip Oil, which I adore, but this is good nonetheless. This is, basically, what I buy whenever Feelunique are sold out of said rosehip oil. It's a decent supplement, not as good, but a good place filler.

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil 100 ml ( here )
This is fantastic! It really does help you get rid of excess water weight. I find it particularly good during my period, where it makes me far more comfortable than I would be without it. This is my emptienth bottle, and is something I'll re-purchase again and again as I've come to rely on it.

Voluspa Suede Blanc Scented Candle 85g ( here )
As far as scented candles go, my heart still lies with Diptyque and Cire Trudon, but this one was very enjoyable. It had good throw, especially for such a small candle, and the scent was soothing and sophisticated all at the same time. I'm definitely curious to try more of the Voluspa candles after trying this.

Nivea Deodorant 50ml
I can't remember what this was called, and the name has completely rubbed off. Not an emergency though, as I don't think anybody really cares that much what deodorant I used, but I'll say this; it's decent. I have neither a desire nor any qualms for buying it again.

Soap & Glory Hand Food in 'Smoothie Star' 50 ml ( limited edition )
I love the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star line, and have used body products from the line in the past (that I purchased abroad, it's still not available at Boots in Norway, which is really annoying!). While the products aren't any better than other Soap & Glory products, the scent I find particularly fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't find this hand cream smelled much like the body products from the line, and frankly, not of much at all. Hand Food is a good hand cream though, so I still enjoyed it, but must admit I was a bit disappointed.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads 60 pads ( here )
I've loved these! I'd say they are a bit more efficient and active than the First Aid Beauty ones. If you have very sensitive skin, I'd at least work my way through a First Aid Beauty one first, and then perhaps move on to this one as your skin has gotten used to it. I use one pad in place of a toner, on clean skin, every 3-4 days and it keeps my skin in tip top shape. These kinds of ready pads are my new favourite way of exfoliating my skin.

There's one of these in almost every empties post. I go through one in about a month to a month and a half. That's fast, sure, but it's also super cheap. If you want skin that is just better than it is, buy this. It does everything. One of my can't live without, desert island products, for sure.

Origins Clear Improvement 75 ml ( here )
This is the second tube of this stuff I've been through, and I absolutely love it. This one was part of a christmas set some years back, of three masks in a 75 ml size. Full size is 100 ml so it was a really good deal, if you see anything similar this year, I'd definitely go for it. Clear Improvement keeps my skin clear and decongested, all without being too drying or irritating my skin. A really good clay mask, one of the better ones I've tried.

May Lindstrom Skin The Blue Cocoon ( review - here )
This is one of my favourite products of all time! While I'm really sad it's empty, I'm also glad I managed to use it all up while it was still good and hadn't expired. This gives my skin an incredible boost when I'm feeling a bit stressed, tired, and so on. I apply it in the evening, and by next morning my skin is glowing, hydrated, plump, soothed and clearer! It's a bit of a miracle product, and something I will definitely be buying again.

I've used quite a few samples of this in the past, and while it's always good, I've never been blown away by it to the point where I feel the need to pick one up in the full size.

Burberry Light Glow Earthy Blush No. 07 ( here )
This was part of my project 7 pan, which I am doing until the end of 2016. This is also the second bronzer I've finished in that project, which is really exciting. Earthy is one of my all-time bronzers, and one I really want to buy again. Unfortunately Burberry has re-formulated and re-vamped their entire line, so this exact product doesn't exist anymore, but if the colour of the new 'Earthy' is the same, I'll definitely be giving it a try.

Mac Eyeshadow in 'Omega' ( here )
This is a great eyeshadow for filling in brows, and especially if you are a makeup artist! I've used this both when my eyebrows were a lot lighter, and as they are now, which is really, really dark brown. This looks super natural, whilst still making a difference, and it stays put all day. I've also used it to contour with on some occasions, and have to say it worked really well like that as well!

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in 'Moonlight' & 'Sugar Frost' ( here & here )
I adore the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks, and Moodlight is probably my all-time favourite. It's a beautiful cool toned brown with a lot of beautiful subtle sparkle. It's a fantastic lid shade! Sugar Frost is more of an icy gold - perfect to use as an inner corner highlight, or as a lid shade paired with a darker stronger lip. I love it particularly with a winged black eyeliner, and full on red lips.

Max Factor False Lash Epic in Black Brown 13.1 ml ( here )
I was so excited to try this new mascara by Max Factor due to all the hype it's been getting, but it's absolutely terrible. I made myself use it for at least a week to make sure I gave it a try, but have to admit defeat after the "mandatory" 7 days I set for myself. This does nothing for my lashes - nothing! And the weird shape makes me poke my eye with the brush constantly. Now, mascara is really different for each individual person, so there are probably a lot of people out there that do love this - but for me, this is definitely a miss and something I will never try again!

Kaplan MD Lip 20 Treatment Gloss in 'Rosewood Sparkle' ( here )
The Kaplan MD glosses are some of my all-time favourites. Those and Chanel's Glossimers. They taste like mint, feels moisturising on the lips, and there's the added bonus of the SPF 20. Also this colour is a really nice natural, slight warm-toned tint to the lips. Perfect for everyday use.

Kjaer Weis Mascara in 'Black' ( here )
Another mascara fail. This does barely anything, but still, compared to the Max Factor one, this doesn't poke my eye, so it comes out on top. This would be great if you want a natural mascara, and especially if you want a really natural mascara and want to use something completely natural. I ended up using this as a bottom-lash mascara, and enjoyed it when used like that. This is because the brush is really small and easy to use on the bottom lashes without accidentally smudging or getting mascara everywhere else but the lashes. I'll keep the tube, as I can buy re-fills for it later, and am really considering buying another one for bottom-lash use.

Max Factor Masterpiece Transform in 'Black Brown' 12 ml ( discontinued )
This one though, I really liked. It gave me nice fluttery lashes that were longer and with more volume. I even didn't mind that I accidentally picked it up in 'Black Brown', instead of black. When on the lashes you couldn't tell it wasn't black, not really, and it just looked really natural and pretty. I paired it with a warm toned brown eyeshadow look and it all just really complemented each other.

So, here we are at the second-to-last, or perhaps last, favourites post of the year! Usually I skip the December favourites for my yearly favourites post. All the products featured this month are really, really good, and ones I've been using for quite a while. It's all really good stuff, and I'm excited to share them with you. I've talked about some before, but since I've been using them for a while, I felt they deserved a follow-up.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Intense ( here )
This time I'll start right off with the perfume I've been loving in November - all of fall, to be honest. It's Guerlain's newest addition to their La Petite Robe Noire line, this one is Intense. It's a beautiful fragrance, in the same family as Lancome's La Vie Est Belle - if you love that one, you'll love this one as well. Intense has notes of blueberry, cotton candy, vanilla, patchouli, cassis, raspberry, musk, sandalwood, rose, bergamot, jasmine and orange blossom.

Guerlain Meteorites Base ( review - here )
Another Guerlain feature this month is my long-time favourite Meteorites Base, which is a primer. It gives a nice glow to the skin, whilst also keeping skin shine-free all day, and makes makeup stay put much, much longer. I've previously written extensively about my love for this primer, but haven't since they updated the bottle. I am pleased to say that the product is the same - it performs the same, feels the same. If you loved the Meteorites primer in the old packaging, you can safely pick up a new one as you'll love this one just the same.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in 'Moonstone' ( here )
Becca's liquid Shimmering Skin Perfectors have been a favourite of mine for absolute years. I have no idea what took me so long to pick up one of their powder versions, but after finally trying Pearl this summer, I quickly realised I absolutely needed (wanted) Moonstone as well. These are absolutely amazing on the skin. Though it is a powder product, they give a sheen very reminiscent of the one you achieve with liquid highlighters, such as Beccas liquid ones. If you are pale you can safely go for Pearl and Moonstone.

Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Day Screen Multi-Protection ( here )
I love this sunscreen! It's light, but not super runny, absorbs quickly, leaves no residue, doesn't clog pores or interfere with my makeup. It's also not irritated my skin, or changed anything about it. If you wear daily SPF like myself, this is definitely one to check out.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation ( review - here )
I've talked about this one before, but felt it had earned another mentioned. I went straight from my last bottle to a new one, and have barely used anything else since. My all-time favourite foundation is still the Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation ( review ) - but for everyday this one by Nars is my go-to. This especially as it covers everything with just a thin layer (whilst still looking super natural), meaning I don't need to go over with concealer, making it not just a great foundation, but a definite time saver. I use the shade 'Light 2 Mont Blanc'.

Project 7 Pan: Update #2

This post is a bit late, as I wanted to post it before the new month. Unfortunately I've been basically living at the office for the past week, so I found no time to write it before now. As I've finished quite a few products, I wanted to get this up before my empties post as otherwise that would be a bit spoilerish. I took these pictures last weekend, and in the week since I actually finished another product, which means I've finished 4 of the products still in this project.

First I'll leave some links to the first post and my first update that you can read to see the progress since then; First post . Update #1 .

MAC Eyeshadow in 'Omega'
I'll start with the products I've used up, and first the one I'm the most excited about. I finally did it! I finally finished my Omega eyeshadow! Long-time readers will know I've been trying to use this up for years, having featured it in many use-it-up projects. and never quite managing to finish it off. I finally did use up every last bit, which is so exciting! Eyeshadows are the hardest, even though I used this mostly to fill in my brows, and so are also the most fun to finish.

This is the second bronzer I've used up in this project. To be fair - there wasn't that much left, and bronzer is one of those products you do use a bit more of, but still, I wasn't sure I'd be able to use it up this fast! To be fair, it did start to crumble and I lost a few pieces here and there, but I did overall manage to use most of what was left.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in 'Moodlight' and 'Sugar Frost'
To the left here you can see the picture I took originally for this update, and then to the right is the new picture I took just now. Originally, I had just finished Moodlight and just moved on to using Sugar Frost as lid shade. Now as you can see I did use up a fair bit in just a bit over a week, but then the little bit that's left broke off. This made it fall out and onto my makeup table each time I went to use it, and it was just too messy and too annoying, so I'm calling it quits on that one as well. I am happy with how much use I got out of it, plus I've got another Sugar Frost mini from a christmas set of caviar sticks, so I'm all set.

Now for the 3 products I've still got let. Now, I always said this was a bit of a long shot, but as you can see from the new line, I am finally starting to see some real progress. Do I think I can finish this up completely in the next three weeks? No, not really, but I'll give it a really good try!

Chanel Rouge Allure in '73 Clandestine'
This is one I never really intended to use up completely, but added to just make me use it more. And in that aspect, I've been successfull. I've definitely been much more concious about using this more, and have used it at least once a week. The progress isn't spectacular, but there's a lot more than there would've been if I didn't add it to this project (it would have been 0,-) so I am very happy about it still.

Finally I have the product I think I can finish to make it a total of 7 products used up, as is my goal. This one certainly looked like it would be the first one out, but is still hanging around with a fair bit left. It's starting to crumble a bit around the edges though, so as soon as chunks start coming off the sides, I think what's left of this will go pretty quickly. Compared to last month you can see I've made quite a bit of progress since then. Hopefully I will be able to finish this by December 31st, making the project a success!

So there you have it. My second, and second-to-last update in this project pan. I've finished a total of 6 products, so I only have to finish one more to hit my goal! I haven't decided yet if I'll do my final post as soon as I've finished another product, or wait until the end of the month either way. I think it will depend on if I am seeing any more progress on the La Mer powder or not. Either way, until next time!

I can't believe it's almost christmas! We are fast approaching my favourite time of the year - and I've already started planning and buying presents! I haven't decorated - yet, but by the time I'm writing my November empties post, I definitely will have. For my October empties I've finished quite a few products I've been using for a long time. A lot of them came as a surprise, as I wasn't expecting to finish them already, and some was a long time coming. Either way, a really great empties post this time, and I'm especially excited as I finally get to rotate in some new skincare products.

Biotherm Lait Corporel Anti-Drying Body Milk 400ml ( here )
My all-time favourite body lotion! If I could only have one, this would be it. Definitely. It's light, but still moisturising, absorbs really quickly and smells just clean and fresh.

Kicks Body Lotion Vanilla & Coconut 300ml ( gift with purchase )
Kicks is a shop similar to Sephora that we have in Scandinavia. This body lotion is their own brand, and was actually a very generous gift with purchase! I really liked this, I have to say. It was moisturising, light, and the scent I really enjoyed. I wouldn't mind buying the full size and looking at more of the products from the Kicks brand.

Korres Moisturising Hand Cream with Organic Almond Oil & Calendula 75ml ( here )
This is a nice hand cream. I buy it mostly as it's available in a smaller convenient handbag-size. It smells of nothing too much, and it hydrates without being sticky or greasy. I got this as part of a christmas gift set last year, and definitely wouldn't mind getting another one to keep in my handbag.

La Prairie Silver Rain Body Veil 50ml ( here )
I really like the Silver Rain perfume and used the sample I have with this body lotion, which was a gift with purchase. I've heard Silver Rain is being discontinued, and am considering purchasing the perfume. The body lotion was nice enough, but nothing special. It had the same scent, which I enjoyed, but other than that it was nothing special. Considering the price, I'd definitely stick to cheaper ones, like my favourite by Biotherm.

Bioderma Make-Up Removing Micelle Solution 500ml ( here )
I've talked about this so many times I won't bore you with it again; I still love it, and am still re-purchasing. The one thing different about this one though, is that it's the one with the pump. Now, I thought this would be super convenient, but I actually hate the pump. It's harder to distribute, I always seemed to get more or less than the amount I want, and it's really annoying when I just want a bit on a q-tip. Additionally, this costs way more, so I will definitely be sticking to the normal one going forward.

In that aspect I'm excited to be done with it and move on to something else, but besides that I really have enjoyed using this and actually wouldn't have minded simply moving on to another 400ml bottle. This is alcohol-free, super gentle and nurturing. It doesn't do anything remarkable, but it's nice and easy and really nice for everyday use.

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter 90ml ( here )
Following my favourite, and super expensive, cleansing balm by Omorovicza - the Thermal Cleansing Balm ( here ), I moved onto something quite different - the Camomile Cleansing Butter by The Body Shop. I have to say, they are quite similar in texture, feel and how the perform. The Omorovicza one is better and has a more luxurious texture, but unless I want to really treat myself the Body Shop version will be my default moving forward.

Vichy Idealia Life Serum 30ml ( here )
I really had absolutely no idea I was about to finish this, until one day nothing more would come out. I've used it for about 3-4 months, which isn't much for a serum when I'm not using it everyday. The texture is more of a lotion-texture, meaning it doesn't go as far as say an oil or thinner serums, so that is probably why it didn't last all that long. That aside, it was ok, but I was disappointed. I've previously used samples of this that I really enjoyed, which is why I bought it, but from using a whole bottle I have to admit I didn't really see much in terms of results. It has nice immediate effects - it makes the skin look radiant and healthy, but that's due to tiny glitter particles in the actual serum, and not due to it doing anything for the skin. This is very affordable, but unfortunately I don't think it's worth the money, even then. I do enjoy other Vichy products, and their Aqualia Thermal Serum in particular, so if you are looking to try a Vichy serum, I'd definitely steer you in that direction over this.

Pai Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream 50ml ( here )
This is a nice, heavier moisturiser. It's really moisturising, calming and soothing for the skin. If you haven't got dry or at least dehydrated skin, this will be too much for you. I've used this mostly on days when my skin was particularly dry, irritated, or I was staying home and wanted to give my skin a bit of an extra boost of hydration. I love the pump bottle, and that it's a more natural product.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 SPF20 Anti-Wrinkle Protect Fluid 40ml ( here )
One of my favourites. This is lighter in both texture and feel, and absorbs really quickly. I love the SPF 20. I still add SPF 50 on top, but I'll take all the SPF I can get! This is also full of antioxidants and I can tell my skin is always in great condition when I have one in rotation. I've been through quite a few by now, and will definitely buy it again.

A very nice, very light sunscreen. It's super liquid, and absorbs probably the fastest of any sunscreen I've ever used. Perfect for everyday use in combination with makeup application.

Ole Henriksen Power Peel x2 ( here )
This is a sample pack of two rows of the three steps. I was initially a bit scared of using it as it starts off with a manual scrub, which my skin typically reacts too. I was super gently with it, and it actually didn't irritate my skin, which is incredible! Overall the whole treatment was a lot of fun, and it left my skin super soft and clean. I am definitely interested in getting a full-size box of this!

Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm 3ml ( here )
I've been through quite a few samples of this lip balm in the past, and like I've said then; this is a really good lip balm. It's a thicker balm, and a bit sticky, but it's super nurturing and comfortable on the lips. Definitely one to check out now that we are headed into winter.

I've used samples of this in the past as well, mostly due to curiosity as I'm not experiencing any hair loss, thank god. I can't say I notice this doing much, not now, not ever from using these. I think I still might have some samples that I'll go through at some point, but I'd definitely not put any money into this.

Clarins Super Restorative Night Wear 15ml ( here )
This is a really nice night cream. It's nurturing, hydrating, but not overly heavy and it didn't break me out or irritate skin at all.

La Prairie Silver Rain Eau de Parfum Spray 1.6ml ( here )
La Prairie's Midnight Rain is one of my most used all-time favourite perfumes. I've never been quite swayed by Silver Rain when just smelling it in-store, but after using it for as long as this sample lasted, I've really come to enjoy it. It has notes of blackberry, sugar, plum, vanilla, agarwood, patchouli, green apple and tonka beans, among several others.

My all-time favourite mascara. Hands down. I couldn't tell you how many I've been through, but I've consistently been purchasing and re-purchasing this since it came out, which is starting to be a few years now. It gives volume, lenght and curl. Doesn't flake, doesn't smudge.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Light 2 Vanilla 6ml ( here )
Another long-time favourite. I use this both under the eyes and on imperfections on the face, like blemishes, redness etc. It's super quick to apply, blends effortlessly, covers really well, looks natural and lasts all day.

MAC Pro Longwear Blush in 'Baby Don't Go' 6g ( here )
I loved this! It was a recommendation from MLCmakeup on youtube, and all the things she said about it I've found to be true. It's a beautiful bronzer for lighter skin tones. It adds the most natural contour/bronze to the face, unlike any other bronzer I've used. I'll definitely be buying again. Also, do chekc out Michelle's channel, I've found her recommendations that I've tried to all be really, really good!

Dior Addict Extreme in '356 Cherie Bow' 3.5g ( review )
Finally I have a lipstick. As I've talked about before, I'm really trying to focus on using up and downsizing my lip products, so finishing a lip stick is awesome. This formula has been discontinued, so I won't bother saying too much about it, but I did really enjoy it and was very surprised it got discontinued after just a few years. The colour was also a really nice muted and natural pink.

October has been a bit of an in-between month for me, in terms of beauty products. I've finished up a lot of products that I've been using for a while (which you'll see in my empties). I've talked about almost all of them before, and because they've lasted until the very end of the month, I haven't really put anything new to the test. With all the products I have though, I figured this would be a good opportunity to talk about some long-standing favourites, though there's at least one product I haven't talked about before.

Elie Saab Le Parfum ( here )
The original Elie Saab fragrance. I fell absolutely head over heels in love with this from the very first sniff. It has notes of african orange flower, jasmine, white honey, patchouli, rose and virginia cedar. It's a warm, sophisticated and very feminine scent. It remains one of my all-time favourites to this day, even as I'm almost through an entire bottle.

I just talked about this in a full review, but I still wanted to mention it here as it's a product I've been really loving throughout the entire month. My favourite thing is how nurturing, comforting and hydrating it is, whilst still being absorbed in just about a minute! It's crazy! I slap this on and I can move onto SPF and makeup application within seconds.

I don't talk much about nail polishes on the blog anymore. It's not because I've stopped using them, but it's probably due to me stopping buying them. I haven't bought a new nail polish for almost three years now, as I've been focusing on using what I already have (which is a lot!). One thing I do keep having to re-purchase though, are base and top coats. My absolute favourite top coat, and one that I've bought countless bottles of - is the Addicted to Speed top coat by Deborah Lippmann. This is incredible! It makes nail polish dry so quickly - 1 minute or so! There's nothing else like it, except for maybe Seche Vite, but this one has way less chemicals. If you hate having to wait around for your nail polish to dry (who doesn't?!) then I really recommend trying this one.

This is still my first one of this, but it's lasted about a year and a half, and there's still some left. I use it 1-2 times a week, in combination with exfoliation first. This gives my skin such a boost. Come next morning skin is plumped, glowing, even toned and perfectly hydrated. The scent of this is also absolutely intoxicating.

Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in 03 medium ( here )
Benefit had a huge brow products release some months ago, and of the two things I picked up, I've absolutely loved both. I thought I'd already talked about the other products - 3D Browtones, but just realised now I haven't, so perhaps I'll make a point to do that soon. This time though, I wanted to give a shout out to the Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in 03 medium. I love this. I use it to both set my brows - which they keep in place perfectly, all day, but also to give them a bit of a more natural texture. I find the problem I often encounter when filling in my brows, is they can easily look a bit overly done and fake. When I add a bit of this, though, they look a lot more natural.

Project 7 Pan: Update #1

So, the first update to this project comes a bit sooner than I was expecting to make one! I did say I would update you approximatively every two weeks, and I guess I am sticking to that, but I thought for sure my next update would be at least a few days into November. Either way, I'm updating early for a good reason; I've already used up two items! Yay!

First of all I'll leave a link to my previous post so that you can compare the progress etc.; First post .

MAC Pro Longwear Blush in 'Baby Don't Go'
The first item I've used up is this blush that I've used as a bronzer. There wasn't much left, but I certainly didn't expect to finish it in just two weeks! As the product got really thin, it did start breaking off and I did loose a few pieces, so that's why it went so quickly. Either way, I'm excited to have used this up and will be adding another bronzer to this project to also, hopefully, use up by the end of the year. I said in my first post that I wasn't sure if I would be adding more products to the project as it went on, but as I've finished two products so quickly, I have decided to add two more products. Also because I've realised there's at least one product that I might not be able to finish in time, after all.

Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in 356 Cherie Bow
The second product I've used up is my Dior Addict Extreme lipstick. I think I am the most excited about this one as I've been trying to use up lipsticks for a while now. They take me aaages to go through, so having one more done is awesome. That's why the second new product I'm adding to the project is another lipstick.

ELF Complexion Perfection Powder
Now for the products I'm still working on. First out is this powder I use for setting the concealer under my eyes. While it looks like this is one of the products I should've had done in two weeks - you can see when comparing to my last post that it hasn't actually moved much, though there is definitely progress. I use it everyday, it's just I don't need much for just under my eyes. I think I'll be able to finish it by the end of the year though.

I use this to fill in my brows, and have been using it every day. It's moving slower because, again, the area I use it isn't that big. Still, I'm using it everyday, and there is definitely progress. Not a whole lot, but enough for me to think I can finish this by the end of the year.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in 'Moodlight' and 'Sugar Frost'
I've been using these two every day, except for just two days. I think I have really good progress on both, especially considering it's been only two weeks. Sugar Frost I'm especially surprised by, as I only use it as an inner-corner highlight. Moodlight is on the left in the picture, Sugar Frost to the right. I definitely think I can be able to use these up by the end of the year, but I think I'll be using them all the way until the end.

La Mer The Powder
Finally, of the products already in the project, I have the one I'm realising I might not be able to use up after all. I really thought I would be able to, but when trying to make a progress line, I couldn't see any difference at all. Granted, a loose powder like this, is really difficult to measure, as sometimes the powder is in the sifter, sometimes it's not, and it's hard to get the powder to spread out flat and completely even. I'll be sticking to it, and hopefully I'll at least be able to see some noticeable progress soon. Either way, I've added two more products to the project, just to make sure I'll still have 7 products finished.

Now for the two new products I'm adding to the project. First I have this bronzer, which funnily enough, is another blush I use as a bronzer. There's barely any left in this, so it's really time for me to just finish it up and get it out of my collection. This is one of my all-time favourite bronzers, so it won't be a problem to use this everyday until it's done. I wouldn't surprised if this is finished by the end of November.

The lipstick I've added is a bit risky, as it's really dark, but as I've already finished a lipstick I don't necessarily need to use this one up to hit my goal, though I'm obviously aiming for that. This is a dark brown/red lipstick that is absolutely gorgeous. It's a very fall-colour though, that I almost never wear at any other time in the year. Because of that, I decided I wanted to really focus on using it as much as possible the next couple of months, and if I can't finish it up, I'll at least make some decent progress. I think I might be able to use it up though, if I really stick to it.

So that's it. I'll do another update in about two weeks time, hopefully with some more products used up, though I don't really think any of the products in the project now will be finished that quickly. Having said that, I didn't think so last time either. For now, these are the products I'm currently working on.

Review: RMS "Un" Cover-Up

I love RMS beauty. Let me just say that right off the bat. I love the products I have, both current and that I’ve used up, and I really love the brands philosophy. RMS is basically an all-natural brand, and while I’m not entirely on the natural makeup train (I just can’t help it, all the non-natural stuff is so amazing), I kind of wish I was. That’s why I’m always excited when natural brands release new natural options, and am always keen to try it out. Which is why I was excited to try RMS’ “un” cover-up, which is a concealer and foundation in one.

I mostly bought the “un” cover-up as a concealer and have mostly used it that way. I didn’t actually know it could be used as a foundation as well, until after I’d already bought it. Having said that, I’ve still mostly used it as a concealer. I have no idea why, but the fact that this has coconut oil in it, makes me apprehensive about applying it all over my face. The upside to that is I've found the nurturing part of it excellent for using this on skin that is drier, or especially for touch-ups around my nose when I've had a cold. For that it's been fantastic, a life saver - I had a cold for 2 weeks and no dry or red skin around my nose! All thanks to this. Which is great, but it's the reason I don't use this so much to cover blemishes etc, and mostly use it for just under my eyes and touch-ups.

Regardless of that, I’ve used it, like I said, as a concealer and it performs really well. The product is emollient and kind of slippery in texture as you apply it, but doesn’t stay that way. I dip my finger in the product and simply swipe it on underneath both my eyes. I then blend the edges with my beautyblender and proceed to set it with a powder.

Lasting power is actually really good. I find my expectations of natural products are still quite low, for no good reason, so they just keep impressing me way beyond what I even dared hope for. This blends like a dream, and stays put all day. It’s also one of the concealers I find settles the least into fine lines under my eyes. That being, almost not at all.

I’ve also grown to love using this to touch up my foundation during the day. If my foundation should separate, for example around my nose, which it sometimes tend to do, I add a bit of this to where I need it and effortlessly blends out the edges. I don’t set this with any powder, and it still lasts for what’s remaining of the day. So while I haven’t used it as an all-over base product, I’ve still used it on my face and been very happy with both results and performance.

If you are looking to use products that are more natural, or are becoming more aware of the ingredients in the products you use, this is a really great option for a concealer. It’s right on par with my other favorite concealers, from non-natural brands, both in terms of how it applies and performs during the day.
