ModCloth Wanelo outfit challenge

This week I'm participating in the ModCloth Wanelo challenge so I created an outfit collage starting from this Bouquet of the Season Dress which is available in a variety of sizes.

I created the look starting from the floral dress. First of all, I asked myself where would I wear it. The colors, the print, the fabric and the cut make it perfect for a dinner date with your boyfriend. To complete the outfit I chose a pair of floral shoes and a pink bag with a cute heart and lace details for a feminine look. For the jewelry I went with a pair of statement earrings. And if the evening is too chilly, that orange jacket is perfect to keep you warm.

Striped blouse

Spring, sunny days, blossomed trees, it all looks wonderful so I had to make a new outfit post. In this outfit post I'm wearing a striped blouse and leather skirt both from Rosewholesale. Stripes are one of my favorite pattern, but you have to be careful when chosing the print. Vertical lines usually make you look slimmer and taller, while the horizontal ones don't flatter your silhouette. But this is not a universal rule, it all depends on how the stripes are positioned, how narrow or wide they are, the material and cut of the blouse/dress/skirt.
The skirt that I got is really cute and has a nice flow, but would have loved if it was a bit longer. Fortunately, it has an elastic band in the back so I can wear it on my hips with a lose blouse on top to make it look longer. But the blouse has a perfect length and it's a bit longer in the back and I love that I can wear it with jeans, skirts, flats, heels, anything.

To wake up in the morning and see the sun shining bright on the sky and the birds singing is such a joy. It makes your day brighter and motivates to get up and start your day. I missed this feeling! A while ago I would have stayed away from prints and chose only solids to wear. But lately I'm feeling more daring and want to experiment with colors and prints.The leopard print is one of the most trickiest prints, but the safe choice is to combine it with neutrals. If you want to add a little color you can chose burgundy, navy or emerald. Another thing that you should have in mind when wearing a leopard print is that the printed item should be the main focus of your outfit and that the rest of the outfit should be as simple as possible. I would have changed the scarf that I'm wearing, I wanted a simple brown one, but since I don't have and it was windy and cold, I wore with this one. The skirt that I'm wearing is from Persunmall. I had my eyes on it for a while and finally ordered it.

Since the last time I made an outfit post, the weather changed drastically. It's been gloomy and rainy for a week with no glance of the sun.

In this outfit post I'm wearing my new burgundy coat and skirt that I got from Persunmall. About the coat, I wasn't sure of the material when I ordered it, but it's thick and soft and suitable for winter. They also have it on beige, but I chose this one since I didn't have any colored coats in my wardrobe. The skirt is quite cute too, I like the pleats, although it's not cotton blending as it says on the site, more like polyester, but it sits nice on the body and has a nice flow.

Almost spring

The days are getting warmer so I changed the knee boots for ankle boots and a light dress combined with a sweater. The best trick for transitioning to spring is layering, because you can always take a layer off when the weather gets warmer. It's the third time I'm wearing this dress on the blog, this means I really like it :))

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Rosewholesale to review some of their products. After browsing on their site I decided to buy this beige blazer, an oval white ring and a necklace.
I was a bit scared that the blazer won't fit me (that is my biggest fear when shopping online), but fortunately it was exactly my size. And the polka dot details make it more fashionable. The necklace is definitely worth it's money because is multifunctional, you can wear it as a necklace or you can take of the rings and wear them as... rings. The black and gold one is adjustable, while the others are fixed. And the white ring looks great too and is adjustable.

A tip to remember when buying on Rosewholesale - browse for items that ship in 24h otherwise you might have to wait a while until your package leaves for its destination.

Denim & leopard

What I love about winter is ... nothing. Well, maybe just the mulled wine. But that I can also drink cold in spring, for example, and it tastes just as good. So, yes, if winter could be wiped out of the calendar I'd be really happy with less seasons and temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. As you can see everything is white. You might think that's nice, but this snow will stay here untill March. That if it won't snow again, then we won't get rid of it untill Easter which is in April.

What a pleasure to take photos at minus 8°C, right? At least I have a cozy sweater to keep me warm (You can find it here). I really like my new beige sweater with little dots of color. Beige (and earth tones in general) can be quite dull, but not this one cause it has little splashes of yellow, orange, burgundy, blue, green in it. It also has a longer back but I wasn't able to show to you as I literally froze after 2 photos. But at least I was smiling for you, guys! I also have other ideas on how to wear it, but I'll have to wait for warmer days, which won't happen soon.

Black and white

It's so hard to take photos in winter. There is no sun and it gets dark so early in the day, so the only time I get to take photos is in the weekend. Not to mention the unbeareable fog. At least if it'd snowed a little, it would feel more like winter.

But let's get to my outfit, because this is a fashion blog not a weather one. I paired my new black skirt with a white tee, a leather jacket and a leopard scarf. I kept my outfit quite minimal, keeping the leopard scarf the focus of my outfit. When wearing a bolg print, is best not to overwhelm the look. And no, there was no sun, I'm wearing the sunglasses because I never know where to look in the camera.
