Of all the mega-corps running amok, Monsanto has consistently outperformed its rivals, earning the crown as “most evil corporation on Earth!” Not content to simply rest upon its throne of destruction, it remains focused on newer, more scientifically innovative ways to harm the planet and its people.

1901: The company is founded by John Francis Queeny, a member of the Knights of Malta, a thirty year pharmaceutical veteran married to Olga Mendez Monsanto, for which Monsanto Chemical Works is named. The company’s first product is chemical saccharin, sold to Coca-Cola as an artificial sweetener.

Even then, the government knew saccharin was poisonous and sued to stop its manufacture but lost in court, thus opening the Monsanto Pandora’s Box to begin poisoning the world through the soft drink.

1920s: Monsanto expands into industrial chemicals and drugs, becoming the world’s largest maker of aspirin, acetylsalicyclic acid, (toxic of course). This is also the time when things began to go horribly wrong for the planet in a hurry with the introduction of their polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

“PCBs were considered an industrial wonder chemical, an oil that wouldn’t burn, impervious to degradation and had almost limitless applications. Today PCBs are considered one of the gravest chemical threats on the planet. Widely used as lubricants, hydraulic fluids, cutting oils, waterproof coatings and liquid sealants, are potent carcinogens and have been implicated in reproductive, developmental and immune system disorders. The world’s center of PCB manufacturing was Monsanto’s plant on the outskirts of East St. Louis, Illinois, which has the highest rate of fetal death and immature births in the state.”(1)

Even though PCBs were eventually banned after fifty years for causing such devastation, it is still present in just about all animal and human blood and tissue cells across the globe. Documents introduced in court later showed Monsanto was fully aware of the deadly effects, but criminally hid them from the public to keep the PCB gravy-train going full speed!

1930s: Created its first hybrid seed corn and expands into detergents, soaps, industrial cleaning products, synthetic rubbers and plastics. Oh yes, all toxic of course!

1940s: They begin research on uranium to be used for the Manhattan Project’s first atomic bomb, which would later be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing hundreds of thousands of Japanese, Korean and US Military servicemen and poisoning millions more.

The company continues its unabated killing spree by creating pesticides for agriculture containing deadly dioxin, which poisons the food and water supplies. It was later discovered Monsanto failed to disclose that dioxin was used in a wide range of their products because doing so would force them to acknowledge that it had created an environmental Hell on Earth.

1950s: Closely aligned with The Walt Disney Company, Monsanto creates several attractions at Disney’s Tomorrowland, espousing the glories of chemicals and plastics. Their “House of the Future” is constructed entirely of toxic plastic that is not biodegradable as they had asserted. What, Monsanto lied? I’m shocked!

“After attracting a total of 20 million visitors from 1957 to 1967, Disney finally tore the house down, but discovered it would not go down without a fight. According to Monsanto Magazine, wrecking balls literally bounced off the glass-fiber, reinforced polyester material. Torches, jackhammers, chain saws and shovels did not work. Finally, choker cables were used to squeeze off parts of the house bit by bit to be trucked away.”(2)

Monsanto’s Disneyfied vision of the future:

1960s: Monsanto, along with chemical partner-in-crime DOW Chemical, produces dioxin-laced Agent Orange for use in the U.S.’s Vietnam invasion. The results? Over 3 million people contaminated, a half-million Vietnamese civilians dead, a half-million Vietnamese babies born with birth defects and thousands of U.S. military veterans suffering or dying from its effects to this day!

Monsanto is hauled into court again and internal memos show they knew the deadly effects of dioxin in Agent Orange when they sold it to the government. Outrageously though, Monsanto is allowed to present their own “research” that concluded dioxin was safe and posed no negative health concerns whatsoever. Satisfied, the bought and paid for courts side with Monsanto and throws the case out. Afterwards, it comes to light that Monsanto lied about the findings and their real research concluded that dioxin kills very effectively.

A later internal memo released in a 2002 trial admitted

“that the evidence proving the persistence of these compounds and their universal presence as residues in the environment is beyond question … the public and legal pressures to eliminate them to prevent global contamination are inevitable. The subject is snowballing. Where do we go from here? The alternatives: go out of business; sell the hell out of them as long as we can and do nothing else; try to stay in business; have alternative products.”(3)

Monsanto partners with I.G. Farben, makers of Bayer aspirin and the Third Reich’s go-to chemical manufacturer producing deadly Zyklon-B gas during World War II. Together, the companies use their collective expertise to introduce aspartame, another extremely deadly neurotoxin, into the food supply. When questions surface regarding the toxicity of saccharin, Monsanto exploits this opportunity to introduce yet another of its deadly poisons onto an unsuspecting public.

1970s: Monsanto partner, G.D. Searle, produces numerous internal studies which claim aspartame to be safe, while the FDA’s own scientific research clearly reveals that aspartame causes tumors and massive holes in the brains of rats, before killing them. The FDA initiates a grand jury investigation into G.D. Searle for “knowingly misrepresenting findings and concealing material facts and making false statements” in regard to aspartame safety.

During this time, Searle strategically taps prominent Washington insider Donald Rumsfeld, who served as Secretary of Defense during the Gerald Ford and George W. Bush presidencies, to become CEO. The corporation’s primary goal is to have Rumsfeld utilize his political influence and vast experience in the killing business to grease the FDA to play ball with them.

A few months later, Samuel Skinner receives “an offer he can’t refuse,” withdraws from the investigation and resigns his post at the U.S. Attorney’s Office to go work for Searle’s law firm. This mob tactic stalls the case just long enough for the statute of limitation to run out and the grand jury investigation is abruptly and conveniently dropped.

1980s: Amid indisputable research that reveals the toxic effects of aspartame and as then FDA commissioner Dr. Jere Goyan was about to sign a petition into law keeping it off the market, Donald Rumsfeld calls Ronald Reagan for a favor the day after he takes office. Reagan fires the uncooperative Goyan and appoints Dr. Arthur Hayes Hull to head the FDA, who then quickly tips the scales in Searle’s favor and NutraSweet is approved for human consumption in dried products.This becomes sadly ironic since Reagan, a known jelly bean and candy enthusiast, later suffers from Alzheimers during his second term, one of the many horrific effects of aspartame consumption.

Searle’s real goal though was to have aspartame approved as a soft drink sweetener since exhaustive studies revealed that at temperatures exceeding 85 degrees Fahrenheit, it “breaks down into known toxins Diketopiperazines (DKP), methyl (wood) alcohol, and formaldehyde.”(4), becoming many times deadlier than its powdered form!

The National Soft Drink Association (NSDA) is initially in an uproar, fearing future lawsuits from consumers permanently injured or killed by drinking the poison. When Searle is able to show that liquid aspartame, though incredibly deadly, is much more addictive than crack cocaine, the NSDA is convinced that skyrocketing profits from the sale of soft drinks laced with aspartame would easily offset any future liability. With that, corporate greed wins and the unsuspecting soft drink consumers pay for it with damaged healths.

Coke leads the way once again (remember saccharin?) and begins poisoning Diet Coke drinkers with aspartame in 1983. As expected, sales skyrocket as millions become hopelessly addicted and sickened by the sweet poison served in a can. The rest of the soft drink industry likes what it sees and quickly follows suit, conveniently forgetting all about their initial reservations that aspartame is a deadly chemical. There’s money to be made, lots of it and that’s all that really matters to them anyway!

In 1985, undaunted by the swirl of corruption and multiple accusations of fraudulent research undertaken by Searle, Monsanto purchases the company and forms a new aspartame subsidiary called NutraSweet Company. When multitudes of independent scientists and researchers continue to warn about aspartame’s toxic effects, Monsanto goes on the offensive, bribing the National Cancer Institute and providing their own fraudulent papers to get the NCI to claim that formaldehyde does not cause cancer so that aspartame can stay on the market.

The known effects of aspartame ingestion are: “mania, rage, violence, blindness, joint-pain, fatigue, weight-gain, chest-pain, coma, insomnia, numbness, depression, tinnitus, weakness, spasms, irritability, nausea, deafness, memory-loss, rashes, dizziness, headaches, seizures, anxiety, palpitations, fainting, cramps, diarrhoea, panic, burning in the mouth. Diseases triggered/mimmicked include diabetes, MS, lupus, epilepsy, Parkinson’s, tumours, miscarriage, infertility, fibromyalgia, infant death, Alzheimer’s… Source : U.S. Food & Drug Administration.(5)

Further, 80% of complaints made to the FDA regarding food additives are about aspartame, which is now in over 5,000 products including diet and non-diet sodas and sports drinks, mints, chewing gum, frozen desserts, cookies, cakes, vitamins, pharmaceuticals, milk drinks, instant teas, coffees, yogurt, baby food and many, many more!(6) Read labels closely and do not buy anything that contains this horrific killer!

Amidst all the death and disease, FDA’s Arthur Hull resigns under a cloud of corruption and is immediately hired by Searle’s public relations firm as a senior scientific consultant. No, that’s not a joke! Monsanto, the FDA and many government health regulatory agencies have become one and the same! It seems the only prerequisite for becoming an FDA commissioner is that they spend time at either Monsanto or one of the pharmaceutical cartel’s organized crime corps.

1990s: Monsanto spends millions defeating state and federal legislation that disallows the corporation from continuing to dump dioxins, pesticides and other cancer-causing poisons into drinking water systems. Regardless, they are sued countless times for causing disease in their plant workers, the people in surrounding areas and birth defects in babies.

With their coffins full from the massive billions of profits, the $100 million dollar settlements are considered the low cost of doing business and thanks to the FDA, Congress and White House, business remains very good. So good that Monsanto is sued for giving radioactive iron to 829 pregnant women for a study to see what would happen to them.

In 1994, the FDA once again criminally approves Monsanto’s latest monstrosity, the Synthetic Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH), produced from a genetically modified E. coli bacteria, despite obvious outrage from the scientific community of its dangers. Of course, Monsanto claims that diseased pus milk, full of antibiotics and hormones is not only safe, but actually good for you!

Worse yet, dairy companies who refuse to use this toxic cow pus and label their products as“rBGH-free” are sued by Monsanto, claiming it gives them an unfair advantage over competitors that did. In essence, what Monsanto was saying is “yeah, we know rBGH makes people sick, but it’s not alright that you advertise it’s not in your products.”

The following year, the diabolical company begins producing GMO crops that are tolerant to their toxic herbicide Roundup. Roundup-ready canola oil (rapeseed), soybeans, corn and BT cotton begin hitting the market, advertised as being safer, healthier alternatives to their organic non-GMO rivals. Apparently, the propaganda worked as today over 80% of canola on the market is their GMO variety.

A few things you definitely want to avoid in your diet are GMO soy, corn, wheat and canola oil, despite the fact that many “natural” health experts claim the latter to be a healthy oil. It’s not, but you’ll find it polluting many products on grocery store shelves.

Because these GM crops have been engineered to ‘self-pollinate,’ they do not need nature or bees to do that for them. There is a very dark side agenda to this and that is to wipe out the world’s bee population.

Monsanto knows that birds and especially bees, throw a wrench into their monopoly due to their ability to pollinate plants, thus naturally creating foods outside of the company’s “full domination control agenda.” When bees attempt to pollinate a GM plant or flower, it gets poisoned and dies. In fact, the bee colony collapse was recognized and has been going on since GM crops were first introduced.

To counter the accusations that they deliberately caused this ongoing genocide of bees, Monsanto devilishly buys out Beeologics, the largest bee research firm that was dedicated to studying the colony collapse phenomenon and whose extensive research named the monster as the primary culprit! After that, it’s “bees, what bees? Everything’s just dandy!” Again, I did not make this up, but wish I had!

During the mid-90s, they decide to reinvent their evil company as one focused on controlling the world’s food supply through artificial, biotechnology means to preserve the Roundup cash-cow from losing market-share in the face of competing, less-toxic herbicides. You see, Roundup is so toxic that it wipes out non-GMO crops, insects, animals, human health and the environment at the same time. How very efficient!

Because Roundup-ready crops are engineered to be toxic pesticides masquerading as food, they have been banned in the EU, but not in America! Is there any connection between that and the fact that Americans, despite the high cost and availability of healthcare, are collectively the sickest people in the world? Of course not!

As was Monsanto’s plan from the beginning, all non-Monsanto crops would be destroyed, forcing farmers the world over to use only its toxic terminator seeds. And Monsanto made sure farmers who refused to come into the fold were driven out of business or sued when windblown terminator seeds poisoned organic farms.

This gave the company a virtual monopoly as terminator seed crops and Roundup worked hand in glove with each other as GMO crops could not survive in a non-chemical environment so farmers were forced to buy both.

Their next step was to spend billions globally buying up as many seed companies as possible and transitioning them into terminator seed companies in an effort to wipe out any rivals and eliminate organic foods off the face of the earth. In Monsanto’s view, all foods must be under their full control and genetically modified or they are not safe to eat!

They pretend to be shocked that their critics in the scientific community question whether crops genetically modified with the genes of diseased pigs, cows, spiders, monkeys, fish, vaccines and viruses are healthy to eat. The answer to that question is obviously a very big “no way!”

You’d think the company would be so proud of their GMO foods that they’d serve them to their employees, but they don’t. In fact, Monsanto has banned GM foods from being served in their own employee cafeterias. Monsanto lamely responded “we believe in choice.” What they really means is “we don’t want to kill the help.”

It’s quite okay though to force-feed poor nations and Americans these modified monstrosities as a means to end starvation since dead people don’t need to eat! I’ll bet the thought on most peoples’ minds these days is that Monsanto is clearly focused on eugenics and genocide, as opposed to providing foods that will sustain the world. As in Monsanto partner Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, the wicked witch gives the people the poisoned GMO apple that puts them to sleep forever!

2000s: By this time Monsanto controls the largest share of the global GMO market. In turn, the US gov’t spends hundreds of millions to fund aerial spraying of Roundup, causing massive environmental devastation. Fish and animals by the thousands die within days of spraying as respiratory ailments and cancer deaths in humans spike tremendously. But this is all considered an unusual coincidence so the spraying continues. If you thought Monsanto and the FDA were one and the same, well you can add the gov’t to that sorry list now.

The monster grows bigger: Monsanto merges with Pharmacia & Upjohn, then separates from its chemical business and rebrands itself as an agricultural company. Yes, that’s right, a chemical company whose products have devastated the environment, killed millions of people and wildlife over the years now wants us to believe they produce safe and nutritious foods that won’t kill people any longer. That’s an extremely hard-sell, which is why they continue to grow bigger through mergers and secret partnerships.

Because rival DuPont is too large a corporation to be allowed to merge with, they instead form a stealth partnership where each agrees to drop existing patent lawsuits against one another and begin sharing GMO technologies for mutual benefit. In layman’s terms, together they would be far too powerful and politically connected for anything to stop them from owning a virtual monopoly on agriculture; “control the food supply & you control the people!”

Not all is rosy as the monster is repeatedly sued for $100s of millions for causing illness, infant deformities and death by illegally dumping all manner of PCBs into ground water, and continually lying about products safety – you know, business as usual.

The monster often perseveres and proves difficult to slay as it begins filing frivolous suits against farmers it claims infringe on their terminator seed patents. In virtually all cases, unwanted seeds are windblown onto farmers’ lands by neighboring terminator-seeded farms. Not only do these horrendous seeds destroy the organic farmers’ crops, the lawsuits drive them into bankruptcy, while the Supreme Court overturns lower court rulings and sides with Monsanto each time.

At the same time, the monster begins filing patents on breeding techniques for pigs, claiming animals bred any way remotely similar to their patent would grant them ownership. So loose was this patent filing that it became obvious they wanted to claim all pigs bred throughout the world would infringe upon their patent.

The global terrorism spreads to India as over 100,000 farmers who are bankrupted by GMO crop failure, commit suicide by drinking Roundup so their families will be eligible for death insurance payments. In response, the monster takes advantage of the situation by alerting the media to a new project to assist small Indian farmers by donating the very things that caused crop failures in the country in the first place! Forbes then names Monsanto “company of the year.” Sickening, but true.

More troubling is that Whole Foods, the corporation that brands itself as organic, natural and eco-friendly is proven to be anything but. They refuse to support Proposition 37, California’s GMO-labeling measure that Monsanto and its GMO-brethren eventually helped to defeat.

Why? Because Whole Foods has been in bed with Monsanto for a long time, secretly stuffing its shelves with overpriced, fraudulently advertized “natural & organic” crap loaded with GMOs, pesticides, rBGH, hormones and antibiotics. So, of course they don’t want mandatory labelling as that would expose them as the Whole Frauds and Whore Foods that they really are!

However, when over twenty biotech-friendly companies including WalMart, Pepsico and ConAgra recently met with FDA in favor of mandatory labelling laws, this after fighting tooth and nail to defeat Prop 37, Whole Foods sees an opportunity to save face and becomes the first grocery chain to announce mandatory labelling of their GMO products…in 2018! Uh, thanks for nothing, Whore.

And if you think its peers have suddenly grown a conscience, think again. They are simply reacting to the public’s outcry over the defeat of Prop 37 by crafting deceptive GMO-labelling laws to circumvent any real change, thus keeping the status quo intact.

To add insult to world injury, Monsanto and their partners in crime Archer Daniels Midland, Sodexo and Tyson Foods write and sponsor The Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009: HR 875. This criminal “act” gives the corporate factory farms a virtual monopoly to police and control all foods grown anywhere, including one’s own backyard, and provides harsh penalties and jail sentences for those who do not use chemicals and fertilizers. President Obama decided this sounded reasonable and gave his approval.

With this Act, Monsanto claims that only GM foods are safe and organic or homegrown foods potentially spread disease, therefore must be regulated out of existence for the safety of the world. If eating GM pesticide balls is their idea of safe food, I would like to think the rest of the world is smart enough to pass.

As further revelations have broken open regarding this evil giant’s true intentions, Monsanto crafted the ridiculous HR 933 Continuing Resolution, aka Monsanto Protection Act , which Obama robo-signed into law as well.This law states that no matter how harmful Monsanto’s GMO crops are and no matter how much devastation they wreak upon the country, U.S. federal courts cannot stop them from continuing to plant them anywhere they choose. Yes, Obama signed a provision that makes Monsanto above any laws and makes them more powerful than the government itself. We have to wonder who’s really in charge of the country because it’s certainly not him!

There comes a tipping point though when a corporation becomes too evil and the world pushes back…hard! Many countries continue to convict Monsanto of crimes against humanity and have banned them altogether, telling them to “get out and stay out!”

The world has begun to awaken to the fact that the corporate monster does not want control over the global production of food simply for profit’s sake. No, it’s become clear by over a century of death & destruction that the primary goal is to destroy human health and the environment, turning the world into a Mon-Satanic Hell on Earth!

Research into the name itself reveals it to be latin, meaning “my saint,” which may explain why critics often refer to it as “Mon-Satan.” Even more conspiratorially interesting is that free masons and other esoteric societies assigned numbers to each letter in our latin-based alphabet system in a six system. Under that number system, what might Monsanto add up to? Why, of course 6-6-6!

Know that all is not lost. Evil always loses in the end once it is widely exposed to the light of truth as is occurring now. The fact that the Monsanto-led government finds it necessary to enact desperate legislation to protect its true leader proves this point. Being evicted elsewhere, the United States is Monsanto’s last stand so to speak.

Yet, even here many have begun striking back by protesting against and rejecting GMO monstrosities, choosing to grow their own foods and shop at local farmers markets instead of the Monsanto-supported corporate grocery chains.

The awakening people are also beginning to see they have been misled by corporate tricksters and federal government criminals poisoned by too much power, control and greed, which has resulted in the creation of the monstrous, out-of-control corporate beast.

WOODROW CRAVEN

Sorry it's been so long since I've written, but I figure you guys would get tired of me if I plastered something on here every day!

I'm in the middle of trying to put together a trailer and poster for my next movie entitled, WOODROW CRAVEN. With the script I've written, the trailer and a poster I can launch a Kickstarter campaign to try and raise money to shoot the movie. I'm looking at around $54,000 for the shoot. Remember, I'm an ultra-low budget movie-maker!

Woodrow Craven is a "found footage" horror about students who break into their creepy teacher's house to plant spy cams in an attempt to catch him doing something evil, but find him dead instead. So there's only one thing to do - they throw a party! They party at his house with all their friends and take pictures of themselves with the "dead guy". Later, so into their partying, they forget about Woodrow Craven and that's when he 'rises from the dead' and kills them all.

"Found footage" means that only video recordings (or digital) is all that is left of an event (because everyone is dead) and what the authorities use to piece together the crime. BLAIR WITCH and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY are this type of genre.

Woodrow Craven is a story I came up with back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, but I didn't "feel" it yet. I knew what I wanted to do, but it just didn't feel like the time to create it was at hand. In fact, my kids were kids when I came up with the concept. My youngest son Josh LOVED the idea and every year would ask, "You doing Craven yet?"

"When are you going to do Craven?"

"Why haven't you done Craven yet?"

"I want Craven."

"Mom!"

So, time marched on; the earth turned; other scripts got written; other movies got made, but still, I just wasn't feeling the time was at hand for my cannibal - zombie - vampire - killer teacher.

Then, last month (yes, only last month), my son - who now has sons of his own(!) - called me up and said, "Mom, regarding Woodrow Craven, I have two words for you."

I'm thinking to myself: "Go to hell? No, that's three words. Screw you? Maybe. Up yours? F - off?" I waited with baited breath.

"Found footage," Josh offered.

BINGO! The music rose. The lights dimmed. The stage was set. The brain kicked into gear and I suddenly knew every nuance, every detail of what I needed to bring my killer teacher alive for me. No pun intended!

So I did some research on "found footage" because a good screen writer-book writer-producer-director-whomever had better learn the lay of the land before wandering through the quicksand.

I found out that these movies are VERY popular at the box office. People can't seem to get enough of them. Distributors are clamoring for them because the cost to make them is low and the pay day is huge (for the Distributors!). But "found footage" also has it's critics. Doesn't everything?

Besides my personal peeve of the camera shaking all over the place so that the movie audience loses their popcorn in a nauseating burst down the back of the guy sitting in front of them; another is the point of combining regular footage along with the 'found footage' makes the critics wonder: "who's holding the camera while these murders are going on? And if you are recording your buddy getting killed by the monster - or whatever the villain of the piece is - why are you not helping him? And why are you just sitting there letting the villain - ghost - killer - whatever come after you, but you are not running your butt off to get away, but instead - zooming in?

One of the latest crazes in sports is to record your adventures by wearing a head cam or a camera mounted on your bike, surf board, car, skis - whatever your adventure vehicle is - and recording your awesome ride OR your agony of defeat should you fail. And a lot of those epic fails can now be seen on YouTube. People today seem hellbent on recording themselves doing EVERYTHING. No longer a secret sex video thing, they even have to record what they are eating for dinner and splashing it across every social media known to man. So I came up with the idea that my two leads we're techno geeks who were into spy cams and using head cams for all their adventures.

My two heroes - victims - decide not only to break into their classroom and plant spy cams to catch their teacher doing weird things between classes, but they also decide (after hearing he's going out of town for two weeks) to break into his home and plant spy cams there to catch him doing his voodoo-witchcraft-sorceror antics there. They also hope to find dungeons and torture chambers while they're at it. So them planting the cams and breaking into his house are recorded on the head cams they are wearing at the time.

But to answer the critics about the regular footage mixed in with the "found footage" I tell the entire story through not just the kids' cameras, but the police interrogation room footage as the cops watch the story being played out on a computer in the room. Not one scene in the movie takes place in regular footage. It's all through "found footage" because even the police wind up as part of this story within a story.

And, if you're intrigued enough to go see this pic when it comes out, stay through the credits because there's more 'found footage' at the very end as a little easter egg bennie!

The whole thing - if it gets financed - should take a week to do. Set build, 3 days of shooting, tear down. Editing it will be the hardest part and probably take the longest (if I have to do it - hoping to hire a "real" editor!) And then it will be off to my attorney for contact with the Distributors. Hopefully the money I earn will finance my next pic!

I've pretty much gotten everything lined up for the shoot already, from the Victorian home Woodrow Craven occupies, to the sound stage, to the SFX crew, some actors, make-up artist, set builders, etc. Trust me, when I'm motivated, I can pull everything together quickly. It's always about the money! lol! Isn't everything?

Martial Law by Executive Order

President Obama's National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order of March 16 does to the country as a whole what the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act did to the Constitution in particular -- completely eviscerates any due process or judicial oversight for any action by the Government deemed in the interest of "national security." Like the NDAA, the new Executive Order puts the government completely above the law, which, in a democracy, is never supposed to happen. The United States is essentially now under martial law without the exigencies of a national emergency.

Even as the 2012 NDAA was rooted in the Patriot Act and the various executive orders and Congressional bills that ensued to broaden executive power in the "war on terror," so the new Executive Order is rooted in the Defense Production Act of 1950 which gave the Government powers to mobilize national resources in the event of national emergencies, except now virtually every aspect of American life falls under ultimate unchallengeable government control, to be exercised by the president and his secretaries at their discretion.

The 2012 NDAA deemed the United States a "battlefield," as Senator Lindsey Graham put it, and gave the president and his agents the right to seize and arrest any U.S. citizen, detain them indefinitely without charge or trial, and do so only on suspicion, without any judicial oversight or due process. The new Executive Order states that the president and his secretaries have the authority to commandeer all U.S. domestic resources, including food and water, as well as seize all energy and transportation infrastructure inside the borders of the United States. The Government can also forcibly draft U.S. citizens into the military and force U.S. citizens to fulfill "labor requirements" for the purposes of "national defense." There is not even any Congressional oversight allowed, only briefings.

In the NDAA, only the president had the authority to abrogate legitimate freedoms of U.S. citizens. What is extraordinary in the new Executive Order is that this supreme power is designated through the president to the secretaries that run the Government itself:

• The Secretary of Defense has power over all water resources;
• The Secretary of Commerce has power over all material services and facilities, including construction materials;
• The Secretary of Transportation has power over all forms of civilian transportation;
• The Secretary of Agriculture has power over food resources and facilities, livestock plant health resources, and the domestic distribution of farm equipment;
• The Secretary of Health and Human Services has power over all health resources;
• The Secretary of Energy has power over all forms of energy.

The Executive Order even stipulates that in the event of conflict between the secretaries in using these powers, the president will determine the resolution through his national security team.

The 2012 NDAA gave the Government the right to abrogate any due process against a U.S. citizen. The new Executive Order gives the government, through the Secretary of Labor, the right to proactively mobilize U.S. citizens for "labor" as the government deems necessary and to coordinate with the Secretary of Defense to maintain data to coordinate the nation's work needs in relation to national defense.

What is extraordinary about the Executive Order is that, like the NDAA, this can all be done in peacetime without any national emergency to justify it. The language of the Order does not state that all these extraordinary measures will be done in the event of "national security" or a "national emergency." They can simply be done for "purposes of national defense," clearly a broader remit that allows the government to do what it wants, when it wants, how it wants, to whomever it wants, all without any judicial restraint or due process. As Orwell famously said in 1984, "War is peace. Peace is war." This is now the reality on the ground in America.

Finally, the 2012 NDAA was hurried through the House and Senate almost like a covert op with minimal public attention or debate. It was then signed by the president at 9:00 PM on New Year's Eve while virtually nobody was paying attention to much other than the approaching new year. This new Executive Order was written and signed in complete secret and then quietly released by the White House on its website without comment. All this was done under a president who studied constitutional law at Harvard.

It is hard to know what to say in the face of such egregious disregard for the integrity of what America has stood and fought for since its founding. It is hard in part because none of us thought such encroachments would ever happen here, certainly not under the watch of a "progressive" like Obama.

At one level, the prospect for war with Iran is probably an immediate justification. But the comprehensiveness of the Executive Order, like that of the 2012 NDAA, speaks to something much deeper, more sinister. I would suggest that this Order, like the NDAA, has been in the works for some time and is simply the next step in the logic of the "global war on terror." Our political elites have come to consider democracy an impediment to effective governance and they are slowly and painstakingly creating all the democratic legalities necessary to abridge our democratic rights with impunity, all to ensure our "security." Of such measures do republics fall and by such measures tyrants emerge.

The only thing that really remains is the occasion to test the new rules of the game. Perhaps that will be war with Iran, perhaps some contrived emergency, or perhaps, as long as the public and media remain asleep, no occasion will be necessary at all. It will just slowly happen of its own accord and we, like the frog in the pot of slowly boiling water, will just sit there and be consumed by our own turpitude.

Congress should take the cut! I'm just sayin'...

DOESN'T ANYONE WONDER WHY CONGRESS DOESN'T TAKE A CUT?

If we didn't do our jobs we would get demoted, fired, suffer pay cuts, etc., etc. But those bastards (yes, Dems and Reps alike) in Congress and the Pres have us on a fiscal cliff of their own creation and they get to keep their jobs! They say there is nothing to do but CUT! CUT! CUT! services and benefits to the American people. But you don't hear about them offering up their golden umbrella retirements or their pay days as a way to finance our future.

No, no, it's okay for kids and their families to lose their homes to foreclosures because the Banking Industry and Wall Street are greedy. It's okay that the Banks and Wall Street sold our children's futures down the proverbial river and then get bailed out BY OUR TAX MONEY. It's perfectly all right to let the Rich run wild, consuming the resources of our country without having to shell out any additional small dimes to cover their extravagances.

But those bastards in Congress (who ARE the Rich, by the way) are keeping their high pay checks and yet, fiddling while the Country burns. They get their dental, medical and retirement NO MATTER that the Middle Class has shrunk to half during the last year alone! Regardless that the Middle Class has lost their homes and their children have to depend on school lunch programs for at least one full meal per day. Why doesn't that make you mad?

Those bastards in Congress can AND will cut Medicare, Social Security and any service that sounds like a handout - even though the Banking Industry got a handout. Because nothing galls a person suffering financially more than hearing someone else is getting a handout. In fact, I'm betting that Social Security will disappear in my lifetime and I'm 56! And still we sit by silently letting the bastards stick it to us over and over again. To what purpose? To keep us fighting amongst ourselves.

Congress has been raping the American tax payers (meaning the Middle Class) for years and they are syphoning off the money into overseas bank accounts so they can "fly the coup" when America implodes financially. The Rich can then live in other countries "high on the hog" they have raised while the devastated American populace fight amongst themselves like rats trapped in a cage.

Don't think so? Ask yourself what has happened to all of America's money? Don't be fooled by "their" manipulating statements that the federal government is overburdened by too many social programs. If they get you to watch what the right hand is doing, you won't be paying any attention to what their left hand is doing. All they have to do is get us to fight amongst ourselves (like we did during the pre-election months) and we won't do a thing about what is really happening right in front of our eyes.

How far do I think "they" will go to get away with what they are doing? Brace yourselves.

I am not a member or believer in the NRA nor do I own a gun. However, I do have eyes and I've been noticing a lot of manipulative crap going on for many years now. You can check the history on the internet if you don't believe me.

My heart and soul goes out to the parents of the children who died or were wounded in the school shootings. Having lost a child myself, this is something I would never have wished upon anyone - not even an enemy. But it is my firm belief that the shooter was manipulated by the same group within our government that is tearing our country apart financially and with purpose. Nothing rips to the bone of human beings like the loss of children. Not only is it devastating to those personally involved, but it reaches out and touches the lives of any thinking, feeling human being.

It is now on every news station, in every newspaper, magazine and the internet. Funeral after funeral keeps it fresh (as well it should be) and keeps people talking about that. About the shooting. But not the fiscal cliff or any of the myriad of other fiascos this country faces. Not the demise of the Middle Class. Not the hungry school kids. Not the homeless Middle Class. But, more importantly, it gets us talking about gun control. Which I have always been for. If you have to have a license to drive, why not a license earned after going through a gun course?

But you see, those of us who have kept track of all the Government sleight-of-hand-tricks, saw this one coming. Only the loss of children could move enough Americans into action and away from the realization of the government manipulation of our people. Do I actually believe that our Government could be capable of such a horrendous, premeditated act?

You bet your ass.

Ask yourself, why would that young man kill his mother and then feel he had to go to the school and shoot others? Isn't it too bad that he turned the gun on himself so that we can never ask him? Just like the manipulation of the "supposed" shooter at the Batman premiere where, several minutes after the shootings, the police conveniently "found" the suspect sitting in the back seat of his locked car in a "drug-like" stupor - a virtual trail of the gun-used, mask, ammunition and Kevlar vest leading from the back door of the theater to the car. Why did he just drop everything? Why didn't he try to drive away? If he wanted to be caught, why not stay in the theater and continue shooting? He certainly wasn't out of bullets.

Why was the last three months of his life spent breaking up with his girlfriend, ending his brilliant university career and ordering bullets all on the internet? No one can physically put him ANYWHERE in those last three months. Technically, anyone could have used his computer while he was kept in a drugged out state for later use. Did you know the police FAILED to run a drug test - standard procedure - after his arrest? Now there's no proof he was drugged or NOT drugged.

Did you know his father was supposed to testify to Congress about who was particularly responsible for the financial downfall of America? Research his father had been doing for sometime and was prepared to offer up his findings in public before the Senate. After the shooting at the theater, that testimony before the Senate NEVER took place.

In case you haven't noticed, we've already lost our First Amendment rights (The Patriot Act), not to mention the Right of Assembly, and now we are about to lose the Second Amendment. Why? Because if the Government disarms us, how can we fight back when they finally break the "Camel's back"? When the American people have had enough and get off their asses and cry - "You're not taking one more thing away from us!" By that time only the Government will have guns and we won't.

Did you know that the National Guard has been told that during a crisis - guns will be collected FIRST before aide, food or water is administered? During Hurricane Katrina people were sitting on the roof of their houses and nowhere near their guns (which were under water!) and the National Guard and FEMA still took the guns first and foremost? Did you know that any family that has prepared for an emergency by storing food, water and guns (known as Preppers) have been labeled Terrorists by their own Government? There is documented proof of this edict in a handout given to the National Guard by our Government.

I realize that I'm putting my life and career on the line making my concerns public. Even if all of you ignore me, the Government won't. I'll go on a list at the minimum. Or, if they are finally tired of me speaking out, I'll suddenly commit suicide - get murdered in a home invasion - die in a car crash - or have a heart attack (the Gov's fav technique because no one questions it). But I would rather be killed than remain silent as I watch the country I love crumble before my eyes knowing I could have said something.

The end is near... I'm just sayin'

So, here we are half way - or should I say - a third of the way through December 2012 and out here in the high desert it's a beautiful sunny day. Doesn't feel like we're staring down the barrel of the end of the world, does it? Edgar Cayce, Nostradamus and some guy by the name of Pane Andov have until the 21st or the end of this month to put up or shut up.

Still, one of the top shows on television is Doomsday Preppers, a show about how people are preparing for the end of the world; economic collapse; nuclear meltdown; an EMP attack; the shifting of the poles - you name it, somebody out there is planning for it by storing food, water, weapons and batteries.

Of course if you believe in planning for an emergency - regardless of what occurs or what it looks like - but live paycheck to paycheck as it is, you're not going to be able to do much storing or buying of anything. Just trying to get through each month is burden enough. And what if the car breaks down or you have to take a pet to the vet? That is known as "the month from hell". Or the circus - seeing on how you have to juggle your life from one end to the other to fit that expense in with the bills you have trouble paying in the first place.

Some people are building elaborate bunkers in their back yards or on a piece of land that they own. They have more guns than a militia or enough food to feed twenty people for five years even though they are only a family of four - not counting the dog. Some are growing gardens, raising chickens and pigs or teaching their shih tzu how to kill.

Now you can bet your second marriage that if I had the money, I'd be right there among them because I can almost certainly guarantee you that the government will not be saving my butt if there is a national disaster. Remember, it took FEMA five days just to get water to the Super Dome and that only involved one area!

Then there are the people who are so busy living their daily lives that they are oblivious to any possible crisis that may occur. Wars, major disasters and the like happen elsewhere - not here - and certainly not to them. They are looking forward to their vacation, the prom, graduating from somewhere, changing jobs, getting a job, Christmas, shopping for presents, getting married, getting divorced, buying that thing that they have always wanted, or what is showing this weekend on cable or in the theater.

But I wonder if they would feel differently if they knew the government was prepping too? Giant tunnels leading to enormous natural caverns that have been turned into underground cities and gotten to by bullet trains that are needed above ground but run only under it. They are stocked with food, water and seeds to last several lifetimes. How can they afford it if we are on some fiscal financial cliff which could spell disaster for one and all? Taxes, of course. You know, that thing you worked the first quarter of the year to pay before the rest of your paycheck belongs to you. Yes, the government gets to spend our money for its pet projects and their own salaries while the general public waits with bated breath to learn whether social security will continue or if they will dole out money to the fifty states for the improvement of our roads and bridges.

So is there a point to this blog, you wonder? No. I just wanted to use the words "kill" and "shih tzu" in the same sentence.

What is going on? Something very sinister is going on.

Polls reveal that over 90% of the Americans people believe in UFO's and 95% of these people believe the government is keeping this knowledge from the public. But Why?

Are they afraid the people will panic if an "Official" announcement were made? Hardly. Such an announcement would create interest and excitement and many questions, particularly by the churches, but do not panic. Why then the continued cover-up?

There is overwhelming evidence in the past several years from "Whistle Blowers" retired military officers who have finally said, "Enough is enough! It's time the government told the people the truth!" These officers, such as Navy Intelligence officer, William Cooper, Major John Lear (whose father founded the Lear Jet Corp.) and Air Force officer William English, to name but a few, have all discovered the truth, and at the risk of their very lives, are trying to alert YOU to the secrets behind the UFO's and the Alien Presence on this earth. These people worked on the secret projects, had access to 'classified' Top Secret documents , had seen with there own eyes 'captured' aliens, or extraterrestrial entities, UFO's and the incredible technology they brought with them.

Sightings of UFO's have been reported throughout history, and biblical and historic references to "Flaming Chariots" huge flying 'birds' and odd looking beings predate our history by thousands of years. In the 1940's several alien spacecraft were recovered by the U.S. and other countries, along with a few dead aliens and one live one they named EBE (a name suggested by Dr. Vannever Bush and was short for Extraterrestrial Biological Entity).

In 1953 astronomers discovered large objects in space which were moving toward earth. At first they believed they were asteroids, but later evidence proved the objects could only be spaceships. Project Sigma and Project Plato intercepted alien radio communication and using the computer binary language, was able to arrange a landing that resulted in face-to-face contact with alien beings from another planet. Meanwhile, a race of human-looking aliens contacted the U.S. Government, warning us that the aliens orbiting the equator were hostile beings from Orion. These human-type aliens demanded we dismantle and destroy our nuclear weapons, that we were on a path of self-destruction and we must stop killing each other, stop polluting the earth, stop raping the earths natural resources and learn to live in harmony with one another. President Eisenhower rejected these demands.

Later in 1954, the race of aliens, known as Greys, from Zeta Reticuli area in space, who had been orbiting the equator, landed at Holloman Air Force Base. they stated their planet was dying and needed quarters on earth to conduct genetic experiments that might allow their race to survive; this in exchange for certain technology. President Eisenhower met with the aliens and a formal treaty was signed [Greada treaty]. The treaty stated the aliens would not interfere in our affairs and we would not interfere in theirs. We would keep their presence on earth secret; they would furnish us with advanced technology. They could abduct humans on a limited basis for the purpose of medical examination and monitoring, with the stipulation that the humans would not be harmed, would be returned to their point of abduction, that the humans have no memory of the event. It was also agreed the alien bases would be constructed underground, beneath Indian reservations in the 4 corners area of Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado. Another was to be constructed in Nevada in the area known as S-4, about 7 miles south of area 51, known as 'Dreamland'. A multi-billion dollar secret fund was organized and kept by the Military Office of the White House, supposedly to build secret underground sites for the President and the staff in case of military attacks.

By secret Executive Memorandum, NSC5410, Eisenhower established a permanent committee known as "Majority Twelve" (MJ12) to oversee and conduct all covert activities with the aliens. This included FBI director J. Edgar Hoover and six leaders of the Council on Foreign Relations, known as the 'Wise Men' and later others from the Trilateral Commision. George Bush, Gordon Dean, and Zbigniew Brzezinski were among them.

A major finding of the commission was the aliens were using humans and animals for a source on glandular secretions, enzymes, hormonal secretions, blood and in horrible genetic experiments. The aliens explained these actions as necessary for their survival, that if their genetic structure were not improved, their race would cease to exist.

The ruling powers decided that one means of funding the alien project was to corner the illegal drug market. A young ambitious member of the Council on Foreign Relations was approached. His name is George Bushwho at the time was president and CEO of Zapata Oil Co. based in Texas. Zapata Oil was experimenting with offshore oil drilling and it was arranged that the drugs could be shipped from South America to the offshore platforms by fishing boats, then transferred to the U.S. shore by normal transportation, thus avoiding search by customs agents. The plan worked better than anyone expected, and today the CIA controls all the world's illegal drug markets. One should remember, it was George Bush who first started selling drugs to our children. The drug money was used to finance the deep underground alien bases.

Conclusions: the Bilderburgers, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commision are the SECRET GOVERNMENT and rule this nation through MJ-12 and the study group known as the Jason Society.

Throughout history the aliens have manipulated and/or ruled the human race through various secret societies, religion and the occult. The CFR and the Trilateral Commision are in complete control of the alien technology and the nation's economy. Eisenhower was the last president to know the entire overview of the alien problem. Succeeding presidents were told only what MJ-12 wanted them to know, and it was NOT the truth. MJ-12 presented each new president with a picture of a lost alien culture seeking to renew itself, build a home on this planet and shower us with gifts of technology. Each president has bought the story hook, line, and sinker.Meanwhile, innocent people continue to suffer unspeakable horrors at the hands of alien and human scientists who are engaged in barbarous research that would make the Nazis pale in comparison. As if that is not enough,many people end up as food for the insatiable alien appetite for biological enzymes, hormonal secretions and blood. At least 1 in every 40 A mericans have been implanted with alien devices that are used to control them if necessity calls.

By 1989 over 3 million 'Greys' are occupying these deep multi-level underground complexes. Level 7 at Dulce is called "Nightmare Hall". They have welched on their agreement on abducting humans; today over 25 million citizens have been abducted and implanted, a literal army awaiting orders to march! (Whitley Strieber has written best selling on his personal experience as have many others). For this reason other nations were informed. Within 5 months the communist monolith Russia was dismantled to unite with the U.S. and it's technology to fight the invasion. The Hubble Space Telescope was created to keep a watchful eye on the invasion fleet; Star Wars technology has been developed to hopefully stop them in outer space before they can get to the earth.

Today, the government is on the horns of a dilemma. Too may sources are releasing alien information. The public could get angry at continued secrecy. So MJ-12 plans soon to make an "Official" announcement, under controlled conditions, probably Area 51. Network TV will be called to meet the staged 'landing' of the aliens, these being the Greys. They will come bearing gifts, technology that supposedly will heal Cancer and AIDS, retard aging, etc. They will tell us they are 'saviors of humanity' who have come to defend the earth against an invasion of man-eating aliens called Reptoids.

This story is a LIE, they already work for the Reptoids [reptilian aliens]! Their plan is to unify the world into a One-world Government, a 'New World Order' with the argument that only this can defeat the invasion by Reptoids. This is a trap to enslave the world's population. Control will be accomplished through the money system, a universal currency controlled by certain international bankers, who for years have been lackeys of the aliens, who seized upon their greed and lust for wealth and power as a means to bring about their evil plan to control the earth. (This also being the scenario predicted in the Bible's 'Book of Revelation' wherein only those who accept the Mark of the Beast (the aliens being the 'Beast' and the 'Mark' being some sort of laser tattoo or Credit Card they will use, which will allow people to buy and sell goods). Those who do not accept this 'Mark' must live outside the money system and survive somehow on their own, through barter etc.

SO BE AWARE! ONLY YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THIS FAKE INVASION AND FAKE RAPTURE CAN PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING. DEMAND THE TRUTH FROM YOUR GOVERNMENT. Safeway Execs Are Jackasses!

What would you do if you were in a grocery store, you turned into an aisle, and you saw a man beating his pregnant girlfriend? Would you run for help? How long would that take? Would it be too late by the time security arrived?

Ryan Young worked at the meat counter of a Safeway supermarket. Reports say that when Ryan saw a customer push and kick his pregnant girlfriend last month, Ryan stepped in to stop the beating.

According to the press, Ryan's actions earned him praise from his local police chief, but not from his employer. Instead of treating Ryan like a hero, Safeway claimed Ryan should have called security and suspended him without pay while it investigates the "altercation." Pending the results of that investigation, Ryan could be fired for good.

Doug Castro is a security guard who shops at the Safeway where Ryan works, and he believes Ryan did the right thing by intervening. That's why Doug started a petition onChange.org asking Safeway to lift Ryan’s suspension and give him backpay for the income he lost during his involuntary time away from work. Ryan says one reason he felt so compelled to intervene is that he's an expectant dad himself -- his wife is 5 months pregnant. "We're expecting a child," Ryan says. "I've been suspended for just about a month now without pay for doing something I feel was right, that police said was right."

Indeed, local Police Chief Ron Langford told reporters, "In my mind, in this case Ryan did the right thing."

The police have already turned over security footage of the incident to prosecutors so that the man who beat his girlfriend can be charged, yet Ryan has been suspended for almost a month with no income. Doug believes that if thousands of people sign his petition, Safeway will bow to public pressure and put Ryan back on the job.

Why should women be paid equal to men, you ask - MRSsssssssss Romney?

Let's hope your (probably) philandering husband does not decide to leave you, because you'd find out why the hard way. Oh, wait, does your daddy have money to support you? Maybe that's what you'd rely on. It is daddy's money - right - because in your world - women don't deserve any, including your mother. Because your hubby (and apparently you) want to destroy all women along with their rights. That way if your husband left you, you would have no recourse because you would have no rights!

Maybe, like Jackie Kennedy, you've been paid to stay with your husband and so you aren't worried about finances. But in my opinion, it's a good thing you're married because beliefs like yours make you too stupid to be able to support yourself outside of your marriage. What's your arrangement with him? You make the money and support me and I'll give you sex on your birthday! It would be amazing if he hasn't cheated on you, with ideas like yours that have clearly been fed to you throughout the years, you must be a really boring woman. No wonder he's running for president, that way he doesn't have to spend time with you. Boy, there are an awful lot of women for him to choose from out there on the campaign trail. And some of them are just as stupid as you

The guy sitting in the row in front of these two....he's on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores. These are the folks that couldn't get the budget out by Oct. 1, and are about to control your health care, cap and trade, and the list goes on and on….

This is one of their 3-DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for (salary is about $179,000 per year).

I've written a petition on Change.Org calling for 50,000 signatures from Americans sick and tired of Congress bailing themselves and the 1% out of everything and then screwing the rest of us. Proof our congress is corrupt!

You cannot read the description of the personal stock trading allegedly conducted by Rep. Spencer Bachus and other members of Congress during the financial crisis and conclude anything other than the following:

Our government is completely corrupt.

Yes, this behavior may be technically legal, because of an absurd loophole that makes insider-trading rules not apply to Congress.

Yes, this behavior may be widespread on Capitol Hill.

But there is no universe in which a reasonable person would consider this behavior ethical or okay. And for the 300+ million Americans who aren't members of Congress, it would be just plain illegal

Many members of Congress seem guilty here, including John Kerry, Dick Durbin, and Jim Moran. But Spencer Bachus takes the cake.

According to a new book called Throw Them All Out by Peter Schweizer, as relayed by Dave Weigel at Slate, Rep. Bachus made more than 40 trades in his personal account in the summer and fall of 2008, in the early months of the financial crisis.

The fact that Bachus personally traded on private information he received as a result of his job is bad enough. The fact that he was the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee at the time is simply outrageous.

In one case, the day after getting a private briefing on the collapsing economy and financial system from Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson, Rep. Bachus effectively shorted the market (by buying options that would rise if the market tanked.)

A few days later, after the market tanked, Bachus sold his position and nearly doubled his money.

If a corporate executive or Wall Street trader did this--cashed in personally after getting private, non-public information from his work--Rep. Bachus and every other member of Congress would be screaming from the rooftops about how the financial system is deeply corrupt and how the executive should be charged with insider trading.

And they would be right.

Rep. Bachus should return whatever money he made by betting on the direction of the markets (or anything else) in the fall of 2008. He should apologize for his behavior and jaw-dropping lack of judgement. He should urge his fellow members of Congress to immediately enact legislation that defends the fairness of the markets by holding Congress to the same insider trading laws as everyone else. He should then resign in disgrace.

Here's the passage from Throw Them All Out, as relayed by Slate's Dave Weigel. According to Weigel, it is only one of many examples of Bachus's insider trading:

On the evening of September 18, at 7 p.m., Bachus received [a] private briefing for congressional leaders by Hank Paulson and Federal Reserve Bank Chairman Ben Bernanke about the current state of the economy. They sat around a long table in the office of Nancy Pelosi, then the Speaker of the House. These briefings were secretive. Often, cell phones and Blackberrys had to be surrendered outside the room to avoid leaks.

What Bachus and his colleagues heard behind closed doors was stunning. As Paulson recounts, "Ben [Bernanke] emphasized how the financial crisis could spill into the real economy. As stocks dropped perhaps a further 20 percent, General Motors would go bankrupt, and unemployment would rise . . . if we did nothing." The members of Congress around the table were, in Paulson's words, "ashen-faced."

Bernanke continued, "It is a matter of days before there is a meltdown in the global financial system." Bachus was among those who spoke. According to Paulson, he suggested recapitalizing the banks by buying shares.

The meeting broke up. The next day, September 19, Congressman Bachus bought contract options on Proshares Ultra-Short QQQ, an index fund that seeks results that are 200% of the inverse of the Nasdaq 100 index. In other words, he was shorting the market. It was an inexpensive way to bet that the market would fall. He bought options for $7,846 on a day when the Dow Jones Industrial Average opened at 8,604. A few days later, on September 23, after the market had indeed fallen, he sold the options for over $13,000 and nearly doubled his money.

Recent actions against Occupy protesters are irresponsible and tragic. They're an assault on our democracy. These protesters are bravely exercising their right to freedom of expression, to bring attention to a political and economic system that's rigged against most Americans. I stand with them; and, all Americans -- left and right -- should join me in protecting their freedom to non-violently create change.

This isn't a Democratic or Republican movement. It's not about one party or one policy. It's about standing up to a financial system that's completely backwards. Wall Street banks get billions in bailouts and emerge with massive profits. Most Americans see a program of austerity in a painful economic climate -- benefit cuts, high unemployment, declining wages, and crumbling infrastructure. Congress moved swiftly to "save" banks (something I strongly opposed), and now Congress is paralyzed, unable to create jobs and to save our middle class.

It's no surprise Americans are standing up. Our country's economic policies have consolidated and accelerated wealth to the top. One percent of Americans now control 42% of our wealth. It's not radical to think this is out of balance or to demand a government that is of the people and for the people. I've been to these protests, and I can tell you they're filled with honest, hard working Americans who are concerned with the direction of our country and our economic future.

I am deeply concerned. I'm concerned about an economic system which tethers job creation toChina and big banks. We shouldn't have to borrow money from China -- or Japan or South Korea -- to get out of this ditch. We should stop the Fed from giving billions to the big banks. We have to take back the power to manage our own economy, to regain control over our monetary system, consistent with the U.S. Constitution. That's why, one month ago, I introduced the National Emergency Employment Defense (NEED) Act. The legislation would put the Federal Reserve under the Department of the Treasury, and it would help us recapture control of our financial system. As part of the NEED Act, Congress would use its constitutional power to invest in America, creating millions of jobs by putting billions of dollars directly into circulation. And since this money is adding real, tangible value to our national wealth, it will not generate inflation.

We need a financial system that is of the people and for the people. We need to take it back from the big banks. We need economic and social justice. I will continue to support the Occupy movement. I will continue to fight for legislation, including the NEED Act, that sets America on a path of jobs for all, health care for all, education for all, retirement security for all, and peace.

Let's keep this movement alive. Let's keep fighting for economic and social justice. Keep occupying Wall Street. And, with your help, I'll keep occupying Congress.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is a jackass!

I don't say this lightly: if House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) gets his way this fall by passing his TRAIN Act, there could be up to 657,000 more asthma attacks next year.¹ Majority Leader Cantor and his GOP allies are blinded by corporate polluter funders who have made destroying basic, life-saving protections their number one priority.

Eric Cantor has raised $214,250 from dirty energy companies in the 2009-2010 fundraising cycle alone -- Dominion, a coal company, and Koch Industries, the oil brothers who have funded the political mess in Wisconsin, were the highest contributers.²

These dirty companies put destroying our clean air at the top of their to-do list -- not the health of our families. Send a message to your representatives letting them know that they represent us, not corporate polluters.

According to a Cantor memo that has recently been revealed, he and his colleagues will target 12 clean air common sense safeguards through the TRAIN Act and other methods.³

Based on that memo, this what Cantor's plan to assault our air and water might look like in the first month of Congress's fall session :

Step 1: Gut health standards for smog, soot, and toxic air pollution from power plants.

Price Tag: 25,300 lives lost a year.

Step 2: Dismantle health standards for mercury and other toxic air pollution from incinerators and industrial boilers

Price Tag: 22,750 more premature deaths a year.

Step 3: Disable health standards for smog, soot, mercury, and toxic air pollution from cement plants

Price Tag: 2,500 premature deaths and 100,000 missed work days.

Cantor is going to be busy -- but we'll be there every step of the way to challenge him! Let's get started right by sending a clear message to our representatives: When it comes to the health of our families, there can be no compromise!

Nobel Laureates ask President Obama to Stop the Pipeline!

Dear President Obama,

We—a group of Nobel Peace Laureates— are writing today to ask you to do the right thing for our environment and reject the proposal to build the Keystone XL, a 1700-mile pipeline that would stretch from Canada’s Alberta tar sands to the Texas Gulf Coast.

It is your decision to make.

The night you were nominated for president, you told the world that under your leadership—and working together—the rise of the oceans will begin to slow and the planet will begin to heal. You spoke of creating a clean energy economy. This is a critical moment to make good on that pledge, and make a lasting contribution to the health and well being of everyone of this planet.

In asking you to make this decision, we recognize the more than 1200 Americans who risked arrest to protest in front of the White House between August 20th and September 3rd. These brave individuals have spoken movingly about experiencing the power of nonviolence in facing authority. They represent millions of people whose lives and livelihoods will be affected by construction and operation of the pipeline in Alberta, Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

All along its prospective route, the pipeline endangers farms, wildlife and precious water aquifers—including the Ogallala Aquifer, the US’ main source of freshwater for America’s heartland. We are aware that Nebraska’s Governor Dave Heineman—as well as two Nebraska Senators—has urged you to reconsider the pathway of the pipeline. In his letter

to you he clearly stated his concern about the threat to this crucial water source for Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers. The aquifer supplies drinking water to two million people in Nebraska and seven other states.

We know that another pipeline that covers some of the same route as the proposed pipeline, and built by the same company proposing to build Keystone XL, already leaked 14 times over its first year of operation.

Like you, we understand that strip-mining and drilling tar sands from under Alberta’s Boreal forests and then transporting thousands of barrels of oil a day from Canada through to Texas will not only hurt people in the US—but will also endanger the entire planet. After the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, the full development of the Alberta tar sands will create the world’s second largest potential source of global warming gases. As NASA climatologist James Hansen has said, this is “essentially game over for the climate.”

There is a better way.

Your rejection of the pipeline provides a tremendous opportunity to begin transition away from our dependence on oil, coal and gas and instead increase investments in renewable energies and energy efficiency.

We urge you to say ‘no’ to the plan proposed by the Canadian-based company TransCanada to build the Keystone XL, and to turn your attention back to supporting renewable sources of energy and clean transportation solutions. This will be your legacy to Americans and the global community: energy that sustains the lives and livelihoods of future generations.

Males who wear pants around their thighs are idiots!

I am thrilled that Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong got booted from an airplane for refusing to hike up his low slung pants. About time somebody started calling boys on this practice. I say "boys" because I can't believe a REAL man would care to wear his waistband around this thighs. It is one of the STUPIDEST practices I've ever seen and, since I worked in Hollywood for over twenty years, I've seen a lot. I don't care if your white, black or green, pull up your damned pants. I'd rather you walk around in no pants then to wear them like that. What does it symbolize? What does it accomplish? Do you think you're going to score so quickly with a girl (can't believe a REAL woman would be attracted to that) that there is no time to unbutton your pants and pull them down?

I think we should all step on the hems of all pants that are worn around someone's thighs or the bottom of their ass (not sure which they're trying to adhere to) when we walk behind them. That way, their pants would fall and they would have to pull them back up. A day of that would have them wearing them the way they were intended.

Who finds this attractive? It looks like you can't manage to dress yourself. It's amazing that guys spend all that money on clothes and shoes just to wear them half-assed. Why bother to wear pants at all. There's some guy in New York that stands on the corner in his BVDs. Why not try that, at least it makes a commitment - on or off. If I wanted to see your tidy-whities or your boxers - I'd date you. But I wouldn't be seen, let alone go out - with a guy who couldn't manage to pull up his pants. What's a matter? Too many moving parts? I'm just saying...

Why would a government want all its people drugged like zombies? Easier to control, I should think.
Easier to get them into the "computer census system", easier to snow them with their lies on the news... People, stay awake and don't take this poison. Get a copy of the article and pass it out to people you know are on these medications. Do you want to leave your children in day care when the person in charge is taking this stuff? We as a people have got to stop this and how we stop it is to say NO and don't take the crap. Flush it down the commode. These medical people actually
have the nerve to tell you these drugs are addicting and you have to take them for life. Addicting? I thought there was a war on addicting drugs in this country!!! Nice money maker for them, wouldn't you say...

I know many people who have cold turkeyed these drugs. You can do that or you can reduce the dose a little each day, but no matter how you do it, or how you help your friends, neighbors and loved ones to do it, get them off this stuff. It is pure poison not just for the body but in my opinion it is deeper than that, it blackens the soul. These drugs can influence a person to do some terrible things that they would never have done on their own. Their soul will pay the price.

Dating is Hairy Scary!

A man once told me that a woman he had met had used her high school pic on the dating site and she was now 50 something years old. Okay, that's quite a stretch - I dare anyone to think they look absolutely the same as they did in high school. Over 40 years? I actually looked way better in my 30's than I did back in high school.

However, I have to admit that the pic I use on all my accounts, i.e., Twitter, Facebook, etc., is not as recent as it should be. But being from an entertainment background, I know you're supposed to lead with your best foot (pic) forward. So, yeah, my pic is 21 years old. Of course I've changed, but I didn't realize how different others see me than I see myself until I showed up for a date and the guy didn't recognize me and thought I was the waitress!

His pic was only a year old, but he too looked totally different in real life. Not as burly teddy bear as he appeared on film. A much smaller man than I normally prefer. He was no Brad Pitt, but pretty men don't turn me on anyway, so it wasn't going to be a problem for me. After the initial shock, he seemed to be okay and we had a nice day. But, apparently, he was being overly polite or didn't have the guts to say, you're not what I expected so let's just call it a meal.

Nine years ago I lost my eldest son in the army and I literally turned gray in a matter of hours. I colored it and the majority of it never returned, but I do have grays occasionally pop up in various places. I try to keep up the hair cuts and the perms (so my hair at least looks the same as in my pics). I know I need to exercise and get back into a healthier rhythm and I have great plans to do so (don't we all!). I'm also in the middle of getting my teeth fixed because whomever said you only get two sets never met me or my kid! So I've had to go have a bunch pulled out every once in a while because there are too many in my mouth. It's a slow project due to having no dental insurance (self-employed writer here), so I have to pay as I go. But I'm not some weird-looking Hillbilly who doesn't brush or floss.

But, even to this day, when I pass in front of a mirror, I stop and ask that woman there, "Who are you and what have you done with Jordan?!" (I know you're not supposed to use a question mark and an exclamation point together, but it feels so good!) The loss of my son has taken a toll on me all the way around, but that's no excuse for me not to try and stay on top of things. It's just, good looks don't guarantee happiness. When I was (as my long time friends say) "smokin' hot", I still didn't date much or have a ton of guys falling all over themselves to ask me out. I've always been focused on my writing and directing. But I have had my share of heartache, bad dates, good dates and I was even married for 11 years. I divorced back in 1985 and haven't been looking to remarry, even though the ex did.

Apparently growing up or age doesn't change the fact that women are audio creatures (hence we love deep voices and ugly rock stars) and men are visual creatures who think they are entitled to Victoria's Secret models (regardless of what the man looks like!). Sure, everyone is attracted to good looks, don't get me wrong there, but by this age haven't we earned the right to have wrinkles? Our body shape less than beach material? And besides, you know - don't you - that all the pics they use on those dating sites are not real people looking for love (or sex) but models hired for the shoot?

Just like the majority of money is held only by 1% of the American population - George Clooney/Angelina Jolie - looks also belong only to 1% of the population and the rest of us are just normal. Face it, if people only held out for movie star-like spouses (that they seriously believe they deserve), the population would die out! So let's hear it for normal people who smile and laugh and love and bring color and excitement and children to an otherwise dull world.

And screw the good-looking freaks!

Not Enough Hours In The Day

Okay, who do I speak to around here to get more hours put into a day? C'mon, I have to write, edit and read my books, e-pub them, market them and then start all over again. Then read my friends' books, give feed back and then tweet and FB. Who decided that we needed so many hours of rest? Why couldn't we just regenerate a couple of hours? Think of all we could get done. I'd have more time to make my movies (if I had the money!), write more books and scripts, meet my friends for lunch or cards. Advise my niece on her singing career. Talk with my son and his wife and my three grand kids - not to mention - fly out and visit them.

Why can't I be like my favorite electric car? Just plug me in for 45 minutes and I'm good to go! The car gets 300 miles to the charge, how 'bout I get 300 hours? I'd have time to work out, ride my Harley, play racquetball, chase my cats, wrestle with my dog, hang with my friends, kick Carl's butt, listen to the classic rock radio, watch Sons of Anarchy & Dexter, Big Bang Theory and catch up on all the movies I've missed since forever!

I should have myself cloned - but I'd be afraid that the clone would get all the fun stuff and a hot boyfriend and I'd be stuck washing the dishes!

Is there life after death? Or how do you go on?

People ask me where I get my writing ideas from. This always stops me for a moment. I can't imagine not having an idea to write about. One of my friends once kidded me that I couldn't go to the women's room without writing a story about it. However, it never occurred to me to publish my writing. I wasn't from a family of creative people or did we know anyone of that ilk. So what happened to all this fabulous writing, you may ask? My mother threw it away. Once a month she would come into my room with what she jokingly referred to as her “wheelbarrow” and hauled all my books, poems and other writings out of the closet and out to the trash. Years later, after I was published, she did admit that she should have kept all of that “stuff” because it might have been worth money someday.

I did stop writing for ten years. I got married and had kids and between all of that, cleaning the house, running kids to school, shopping, etc., every creative urge seemed to be exhausted out of me. It wasn't until my marriage was ending that I decided I needed to make money to support myself and my children. They always say to do what you love and make that your job. Let's see, what did I love doing? Duh.

I wrote my first book Witches' Eve (the publisher changed to The Brentwood Witches) and sold in just ten months. It was two years before it was finally on the shelves. My first publishing experience was awful. They promised me the world and delivered an emotionally draining experience. The editor (and to this day I don't understand it) tried to re-write the entire book. Now, everyone should know that the publishing industry doesn't buy a book that needs to be completely re-written, so what was up with that? She said that I couldn't refer to my 'women' as witches because they didn't follow the religion of Wicca. I countered that without my 'witches' there would be no religion of Wicca. I was having a character bathing in a blue liquid so he could become invisible and she had him running around town naked and colored blue! Boy, that's one sure way to escape notice, isn't it? Finally my agent and I had to go over the editor's head to her boss and discussed the EIGHTY page changes. Fortunately, the head editor sided with me and restored the majority of the book.

I continued to write, but after that experience, I was no longer interested in being published. So I turned to script writing and spent the next twenty-five years writing television, movies and playing script doctor. Helped raise my kids, even though I never had anything produced under my name. Again, my friends teased me about being the most successful UNPRODUCED writer in Hollywood. I also went on to write, direct and produce four ultra low budget movies. Ultra low budget means: no money. Clayton's Riders, a western, can be found on the internet movie data base (imdb.com), I made for seven hundred dollars – not thousands – hundreds. Five hundred to feed the cast, crew and horses and two hundred to make copies of the movie on half-inch tape for everyone who participated in the production of the project (See the others at: riversentstudios.com).

Then on November 14, 2002 my entire world slammed to a halt. My eldest son, Cpl. Jason Fisher, died serving his country in the Army. To this day I can't watch a funeral procession or a twenty-one gun salute even on television. I plunged into a severe depression and my other son, Sgt. Joshua Fisher, unable to continue with his brother's memory everywhere he looked, left the Army. I spent years in therapy, unable to get out of bed most days. Writing? Forget about it. I was sure those days were over. I wrote nor read books. The television could only be on comedies (my thanks to: Who's Line Is It Anyway) and I avoided the news like the plague. It was a long trip back. Slowly I started rousing myself. A close friend from film school showed up to 'raise the dead' and we sat down and wrote a script entitled, Yucca Man! A comedy spoof based on monster movies made since the fifties, Yucca Man became my fourth ultra low budget project (yuccamanmovie.info). That project cost thirty thousand and we've haven't been able to complete it yet.

But even though YM wasn't finished, something glorious happened. I started writing again. This time, I published on Amazon.com as an ebook author. I've got four books there and since I only have to please myself instead of some crazy editor, I'm now HAPPILY published. Thank you Amazon.com and all the people who have purchased my books: Witches' Eve, The Five Suitors, No Second Chances and High Desert.

So what does this all mean? It means that there will be times when writing is effortless. Times when it will be hard. Times it won't turn out the way you had hoped. Times when nothing in the world will matter; and times when your world will matter more than your writing. I say just hang in there. Things change. They get better or they get worse but nothing stays stagnant. Just enjoy the journey that is called writing. Follow your heart and your dreams. Travel roads you never thought you would or could. It all adds up. And in the end, here's hoping it adds up to love.

P.S. Josh rejoined the Army 2 years later and is now a Drill instructor, teaching recruits how to protect themselves better in all situations.

Bloody as game of Thrones? OR How whimpy are my books?

Except for the Imp played by Peter Dinklage, I love smart men, so his mind really does it for me. He's also a Gemini like I am, his birthday being today and mine being June 12th. Ah, the Gemini mind.... Oh, congrats Peter and wife are expecting!

I won't hand out too many more spoilers. I figure by the time anyone reads this, the terrible episode will have already aired. I was so in love with the mini series, I grabbed the download of the book and read it almost non-stop until I hit the (spoiler alert!)

Crowd Tilt OR more buddy have you got a dime?

Crowd Tilt is now following me on Twitter. Since I like to pass these kinds of things on to you, here it is:

Have you ever thought about getting a group of people together to fund something... but then didn't do it because of the anxiety of setting up an email list, selling people on the idea, setting up some online payment method, collecting checks (checks are so 1992!), managing who'd paid and who hadn't on an excel spreadsheet (excel? sick!), and other intensive measures?

Have you ever thought of starting a project that required collecting some dough from your turtles.. but never followed through with asking even a single person because you didn't know how you should go about it?? Or maybe you started collecting money for something, only to find yourself stalled, a third of the way to your goal, and asking yourself.. "What are we going to do if we don't get it all?!"

We call this project (or objective) anxiety, and Crowdtilt was built to simplify this process.

Group-based initiatives, in our opinions, are way more difficult than they should be, and they often fall short (or never even start to begin with), not for lack of collective desire, but because of two main reasons; the inconvenience (for both organizer and the contributors) and an inherent concern from both parties that the objective or project won't get fully funded.

Sometimes it's one or the other, and sometimes it's a little of both. To further illustrate the difference between conventional fundraising, and what you can do with Crowdtilt, we had some Harvard grads come up with the diagrams below (heh, look how they misspelled embarrassment).

In addition to the ease and simplicity designed into Crowdtilt, we've tried to make fundraising more fun and interesting than ever before. When people get behind an idea that they want to 'tilt', it becomes kind of like a game, and everyone is on the same team. They are going to help spread the word through their social and professional networks, and become advocates themselves to making sure the goal is reached.

Our bet is that the pressure of having to tilt the campaign will ultimately propel contributors' activity and create a sense of urgency around the campaign. Additionally, the campaign page and users' Crowdtilt profiles give them easy and expansive sharing tools to use to make sure the most eyes see what you're trying to accomplish.

If you have a clear objective, big or small, and a network to that can fund it, then give it a try, and you might be blown away by the difference between Crowdtilt and the conventional fundraising you are used to.
