Christmas and Leondardo da Vinci`s "Last Supper"

Christmas came without snow in this year. But anyway miracle will happen. "Christmas is for sharing" as it was said in Sainsbury`s Official Christmas Advert.

There are lot of concerts in the city. It can be in concert hall or church (for example, with free entrance).

Christmas seems to associate with Handel`s "Allegro Maestoso". Church, music, Christmas tree, and miracle can happen.

I started to remember about Leonardo da Vinci`s "Last supper" in this time. Mathematical symbolism and Still life.

" The painting contains a number of allusions to the number 3, perhaps - The Holy Trinity.
Laid out on the table, one can clearly make out the lacework of the tablecloth, transparent wine glasses, pewter dishes, pitchers of water, along the main dish, duck in the orange sauce. All these items, portrayed in immaculate detail, anticipate the still life genre perfected by Dutch Realist painters of the 17th century."

" The food on the table is not simple bread and wine" as was written in the Patheos.com "10 Stunning facts about Da Vinci`s "Last supper" ". Wine - would be the key symbol of Christian sacrament.

Faberge. Exhibition 20 March - 20 May

Before post I wanted to add some post where is told very nice about the history of Faberge.

The second was - I want to improve my English knowledges.
And the third - in the exhibition is decanters of wine by Faberge.

The exhibition offers an insight into the works of an historical brand in jewellery - the house of Faberge, whose fame was secured mainly by the excellence of Carl Faberge, jeweller to the court of the Russian tsar. This project is the part of the 2010 - 2012 programme of cooparation between ministries of culture of the Latvian Republic and the Russian Federation. Works for the exhibitions are from the All-Russia Museum of Decorative-Applied and Folk Arts, the State museum of History, the Fersman Mineralogical Museum (Russia), the Latvian National Museum of art and private collection.

Carl Faberge had a special ability to attract outsanding masters and create beneficial conditions for the flourishing of their talent . Francois Birnbaum, Mikhail Perkhin, August Holmstrom, Henrik Wigstrom and others carried the fame of the Faberge brand in to the world.

In the last exhibition one of my favorited galleries I discovered for me new painter - Bruno Celmins (1927-1992). His art work with white wine was so fascinated. His painting is juicy green in colour. Very satisfied green.

Nikolajs Breikšs (10.01.1911 - 01.08.1972)

He learned at State Techinque of Riga.
1973- Latvian academy of art, landscape Studio of V.Purvitis.

He painted landscapes, still life's and was one from enthusiastic artists at Latvian art live organisation. His paintings characterized deep realism and good traditions from Belgian painting school.

Voruta, semi sweet wine

Natural black currant wine was started produced in the 20s of the last age under management of Balys Karazija, the founder of the company. The wine of rich colour and vivid aroma has persisted and is liked until nowadays.

In the last weekend I had chance to taste wines of Anyksciu Vynas: Voruta black currant, Voruta aroniju, Voruta cherry and white apple wine. Hmm.So. The most I liked Voruta aroniju and Voruta black currant.

As I saw in the shop of factory Voruta wines are very popular between Lithuanian people.

In this region you can visit Train of the Veterans of Lithuanian Narrow Gauge Railway - SIAURUKAS.
