With that, said lets begin.

Up until recently, and by recently I mean maybe five or ten years ago, most women did not train with weights. The reasons I was given varied from everything from being worried about getting bulking up, or appearing to masculine, some even worried about getting veins.

The truth of the matter is none of that depending on your program could be farther from the truth, If you design, a program tailored to what you want. There are lots of benefits weight training for women, the first benefit is the obvious you will have a fitter, toner, and more healthy looking body.

And that is just on the outside, on the inside the benefits are a stronger heart and connective tissues. There are a few differences between men and women weight training. Here are some facts before we go on, weight training does not always equal a bulked up body.

Another myth is that cardio training without some sort of weight program for women is all that is needed to lose weight muscles help burn fat. Now it is true that you will certainly burn calories, but weight training helps to speed up your metabolism.

Here in my opinion is the secret for women that want to workout with weights, but are still worried about bulking up. Start with lighter weights and higher reps. Higher reps with lighter weights tone, while heavier weights with lower weights bulk.

If you remember that you should not have to worry about bulking up like the incredible hulk. You are going to want to work hard; you want to get that heart rate up. The more calories the faster you will be fit and toned.

Weight Training For Women - How to Challenge Your Fears and Start Losing Weight Today

Many women try to avoid weight training for women because of certain fears. Fear is often regarded as an emotion without benefit, but it actually has many things to teach you about yourself. If you face it with the right frame of mind, you will not only overcome it but grow as a person.

1. Characterize your fear. Are you afraid of failure or success? Are you worried about what other will say or think about you if you fail? Or do you think you won't be able to handle success? Nail down exactly what your fear is and tell yourself that you can beat it! Understanding the enemy is half the battle.

2. Go straight at that fear. Don't run away from it, and don't try to go around it. You only go backward when you shy away from fear, because doing so gives it more ammunition. However, successfully confronting it builds up a store of confidence that will allow you to do the same the next time around. Even when something doesn't work out, remind yourself that the majority of the time, you, and not fear, will prevail!

3. Let fear energize you. When you feel fear taking over, learn to find the"energy outlet" inside you. Recognize fear as a natural instinct that is simply preparing you to face a challenge. It can serve a positive purpose, rather than a negative one, once you discover that outlet. Nervous about scoring in the big game? Turn up you defense, and your offense will come naturally.

So how do you design an Effective Weight Training Program for Women to reap the rewards and stay ahead of the crowd? I will show you some major principles, and give you an example of some weight training exercises.

The Three Principles of Effective Weight Training for Women
Principle One
-Learn how to perform compound or multi-joint exercises for more overall body strength, more caloric expenditure, and bio-mechanical and coordination skills.
Here is a list of some compound exercises...
- Push ups (bodyweight exercise)
- Dumbbell Squat with Overhead Press
- Deadlifts
- Body Weight Squats
- Bent-Over Barbell Rows
- Pull-ups
- Chin-ups
- Lunges
- Push-press

Principle Two
Change Your Weight Training Exercises every few weeks; maybe every 3 to 6 weeks so your body can be challenged with a different exercise that can bring new stimulus into your exercise life.

For example, after performing the Cable Lat-Pull down for a few weeks, change it to pull-ups or chin-ups which for many women these choices are more challenging to perform, but start practicing even if
you can do only one repetition, or just lowering your body.

By more practicing you will get stronger; the key here which I tell my clients is to keep doing it on a consistent and priority basis.

Another example of exercise change is switching from the dumbbell body weight bench press to performing push-ups for chest and triceps training.

Principle Three
Follow different weight training objectives or goals in terms of:

- Endurance,
- Strength,
- Power,
- Weight Loss, and
- Muscle building (toning up) purpose.

You might wonder and ask why you want to follow those fitness objectives for specific training if you are only interested in only one of the above goals; for example, toning up your body and not power?

This is a good question, but let me briefly explain the physiological benefits from doing that. Every fitness goal has a different demand on your metabolic requirements in regards to hormonal secretion and enzymatic adaptation within your body.

Therefore, Changes can be anabolic in terms of gaining power which can lead to more strength, and this can lead to more muscle gain and weight loss.

The key is to keep changing your workout methodically and routinely so in the end you can have an Effective Weight Training for Women in the short and the long term.

Weight Training For Women and Weight Loss - Weight Lifting Advantages

Weightlifting was one of my exercises of choice when I was younger. I was never into the bodybuilding competitions, not even close to that level, but enough that I could feel and see my muscles take on a different shape and tone.

I always felt lighter when weightlifting, even though muscle mass is heavier. It was a strange and welcome feeling being able to propel yourself more easily, whether it was a quick sprint up a hill, or a jump onto a rock. There was a sense of confidence that I could rely on my needed body part when it was required. It was an exhilarating, empowering sensation.

Even though I have been an athlete my entire life, in hindsight I believe that when I was weightlifting I was in the best shape, both physically and visually. Combining weightlifting exercises with a steady consistent cardio workout would give me the optimal fitness desired.

The interesting thing about weight training for women, or anyone, is that when you increase your muscle mass you consequently increase your metabolism. Weight loss increases as a natural side effect to increased muscle mass. Muscle burns twice as much energy as fat, approximately.
Bodybuilding on a recreational scale, is a healthy weight loss approach. Weight training programs are easy to follow and most gyms will set you up and have you followed by a personal trainer to ensure that you use the weight lifting equipment properly to avoid injury.

Weight training for women has other benefits as well in the area of osteoporosis prevention. Weight bearing exercises increase the bone density.
As I age, and hopefully do so gracefully, I aspire to get back to weight training. I think the benefits are immense.
In a study at the American College Of Sports Medicine, research revealed that lifting weights can improve one's overall flexibility.

It's strange to think because for many, the idea of working your muscles is thought to tighten them, not loosen them. But that's just a myth. This particular study showed that after just 5 weeks of a regular weight training routine, the subjects gained just as much flexibility, if not more than if they had participated in a static stretching session each day.

Static stretching is the most common form, when you just reach for your toes and hold for a few seconds. Most people are urged to spend 5-10 minutes at the end of a workout stretching to help with the cool down, but static stretching at the beginning isn't a good idea as it actually increases your odds of injury during your main workout time.

This is great news because such a few percentage of woman (and men) actually stretch. The benefits of stretching and being flexible are huge: better circulation, better range of motion, smaller risk of muscle injuries (rips) and overall better athletic performance.

Weight training for women is so critical for being in the best shape possible. And now that this report was released hopefully more women will be willing to give it a try. The old idea that weight training will make you bulky is just that... old idea. It's no longer the case. We know now that women have different hormones and body composition than men... so you will stay ladylike but be toned, lean and now able to touch your toes.

Other benefits of weight training include: increased metabolism, better sleep, increase bone density, decreased depression, increased strength, and decrease in your risk of developing diseases such as: diabetes, cancer, heart disease, etc.

Weight Training For Woman the Right Way

Being a woman, it was often a daunting task to walk into the weight room of the gym and stand next to a bunch of guys curling hundreds of pounds of iron. It was seen as the macho guys room and the women belonged in the aerobics room with their fancy leotards.

It was a misconception that women had where they believed that if they started pumping iron with the guys in the weight room that soon they would start to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Luckily for women, times have drastically changed for the better. Female celebrities like Brooke Shields, Sheryl Crow and Kelly Ripa have helped change the way we see weight training for women. Their arm muscles in particular are so defined and sculpted that women now try to emulate them.

Weight training for women will not bulk you up for a few reasons. You certainly could increase your muscle size if you were to spend 5 hours a day in the gym pumping very high weights. Even women bodybuilders are not huge; they are just ripped to the hills.

One reason women won't bulk up is because women don't have the same amount of muscle building hormones that men have. Another reason is that women typically can't lift as much weight as men therefore tend to use smaller weights.

A good goal to shoot for when starting a weight training program for women is to be able to do 15 repetitions of an exercise such as arm curls and have the muscle becoming tired toward the end of the rep. Increase the weight if the muscle is not being challenged. After 3 sets of the exercise the muscle should be highly fatigued.

Not only will weight training provide you with a sleek and toned body but there are significant health benefits to adding weights to your fitness routine. Weight training will leave your muscles in a high calorie fat burning mode for hours after your workout is complete which helps you maintain a healthy weight. It also builds stronger bones which will help you to stave off osteoporosis later in life.

Whichever way you choose to start weight training, whether at home or at the gym, will benefit you for years to come.

How to Challenge Your Fears and Start Losing Weight Today

Many women try to avoid weight training for women because of certain fears. Weights have an unbelievable effect on the body that leaves people in high calorie burning states. For women, it can some what feel overwhelming. Not to fret, I've created this guide to give each woman out there a chance to experience weight training first hand.

Dumbbell Press : This is a great exercise the will work your chest. Grab a set of dumbbells and start out light. Lie back on a bench, cock your elbows out and push the weights up in the air. Repeat this 10 times and take a 1 minute break. Repeat this process 2 more times to give you 30 total reps.

Bent Over Rows : This exercise will work your back. Grab yourself another set of dumbbells and place one on each side of a bench. You're going to workout one arm at a time, so place your right knee on the end of a bench, bend over and put your right arm on the bench to fully balance you. Your back should be parallel to the ground. Use your free left hand, pick up the dumbbell and pull it up to your chest. Let it go back down and repeat this for 10 times. Take a 1 minute break. Repeat this process 2 more times.

Dumbbell Squats : This exercise will work your thighs and butt. Pick up another set up dumbbells, this time you should be able to get heavier weights. Hold onto these weights at your side, keep your back straight and bend your knees. Lower your body to the position of sitting in a chair. Stand back up straight and repeat this process for 10 reps. Take a 1 minute break and repeat the process 2 more times.

Dumbbell Sit ups : This exercise will work your abs and core. Pick up one dumbbell, start out at a light weight. Lie down on a gym mat and hold the weight with both hands at your chest. Proceed to do a sit up. If you're unaware, when you do a sit up, you should try to move your chest and shoulders straight up in the air, not toward your knees. Repeat this process for a total of 10 reps. Take a 1 minute break and repeat the process 2 more times.

These are more than enough exercises for weight training for women. This will work your entire body. I've given exercises that are less intimidating, by using dumbbells.

Weight Training For Women - How NOT to Overdo It

It's perfectly safe and effective for women to have a weight training routine. And I say that because there are a lot of misconceptions amongst women about weight training, for women. I will be the first to concede that weight training for women differs from weight training for men, and that's why it's important to learn how to do it the right way so that you can get the most out of your workout.

The key to weight training-that makes it different from cardio training-is resistance. As long as you're providing resistance to your target area, you're giving your muscles the burn that they deserve.

That doesn't mean you have to go to the gym, only to leave an hour later looking like a balloon. (All pumped up)

While it's recommended that you frequent a local gym or have a trainer teach you the basics, it's not necessary. There are plenty of weight training guides for women out there, as well as entire sections in sporting goods stores, dedicated to weight training for women.

Keep in mind that today's weight training is much different than what you've seen in the movies or on TV. Gone are the days of the sweaty gyms and bare bones workouts.

You won't be crushing your spine on the floor doing crunches anymore. You can use an exercise ball to soften the hard surfaces, roll out cushioned mats on the floor, and even color-coordinate your dumbbells.

As long as you start slowly, build gradually, and give your body a chance to rest between workouts, you'll be well on your way to achieving that fit, toned body that is the envy of every women-young and old. Starting slowly doesn't necessarily mean that you only use the lightest weights possible.

So many women fear weight training, because they're afraid that they're gong to wind up looking like those boob-less, leathery, muscle bound ladies you see on ESPN. Understand this: those ladies are world-class athletes.

And just as it's difficult for the average man to achieve that ever-elusive Mr. Universe physique, so to is it for the average woman to achieve the look of a professional female bodybuilder.

The professionals have done specific, intensive training, and used hardcore supplements to develop their bodies. It takes a lot of work to change your body like that; so don't worry because you won't be using their routine.

Using heavy weights is going to get your body toned and in shape faster than lightweights. That's the only difference. So, if you want to prolong your weight training and you've got the patience of Job, then use lightweights.

If you want to succeed and achieve the desired result quicker, then use heavier weights. (Just don't take a bunch of supplements and lift for 10 hours a day).

A good way to determine what weight is right for you is to try out different ones. Ideally, you want to start with a weight that you can lift between eight and 10 times. When you can lift that weight with no problem at all, it's time to move up to a higher weight.

However, you can't go from female couch potato to Buffy the hot body fitness model overnight. You also have to lose the fat you're carrying around, so your muscles have a chance to show off all their hard work.

Work hard and the results will speak volumes on your behalf.

Weight Lifting Routine For Women and a 1500 Calorie Diet Plan could be the answer to all of your questions.

Benefits of Weight Training For Women

Weight training for women is still a fairly non-existent subject. This is because women typically don't perform much, if any, weight training exercise in comparison to their male counterparts. Almost every gym I've ever been to has the same dynamic -- women on cardiovascular machines and men on the weights. This is due to a number of factors, but weight training for women should definitely be incorporated into any fitness endeavor.

Why Women Don't Weight Train
1. Fear of Big Bulky Muscles
This is easily the number one reason why women don't weight train. I completely understand why. There aren't all that many men that want a woman with huge legs, a big muscular back and bulging biceps. The main problem with this idea is the fact that most women don't produce enough testosterone to cause this effect. If you still don't believe me, just think of all the gyms packed with young males trying to get huge with little success. If a hormonally advantaged male can't get jacked, why do you think you can overnight?

2. The Environment
Let's face it, most women don't weight train all that seriously at your typical gym. That means the male to female ratio is largely skewed. This intimidates many women from using the equipment. Some of it could be lack of training knowledge, but I think most of it has to do with the screaming and clatter of weights.

3. Social Aspects
I all ready said it before, but most women don't weight train so there aren't any other women to talk to. Not that I think it should be a huge social event, but many women would like a training partner or at least someone to talk to.

4. The Media
Media gimmicks will have you believe all that you need is something simple. It could be a supplement, a piece of cardio equipment, a piece of plastic to squeeze, etc. to reach your fitness goals. I have news for you; Very little of this stuff will get you the results you're after. In fact, most of it is useless crap!

The Benefits
1. Increased Muscle Mass
Yes, I said it. Most women need to build muscle to reach their goal. Why? Because most women have very little muscle mass to provide much bodily shape. Having more muscle also increases the metabolic rate, increasing the number of calories burned daily. Obviously, this is a desired benefit.

2. Increased Strength
Most women need more strength. Having higher levels of strength will enhance daily productivity and make ADL's (activities of daily living) easier.

3. Maintenance of Muscle Tissue
The bodies main purpose is to remain as efficient as possible. When in a caloric deficit, muscle mass can be sacrificed due to it's high caloric cost. Muscle tissue is desired because of it's shaping properties as well as it's energy consuming effects.

4. Increased Energy
Weight training also stimulates metabolic changes. Metabolically speaking, weight training promotes enhanced energy through increases in muscle oxidant capacity.

5. Decreased Risk of Osteoporosis
Often, this is the last thing women worry about when embarking on any kind of exercise program. Cardiovascular exercise itself is limited in promoting bone growth. Weight training is a highly favorable choice.

Convinced?
If not, you should be. Weight training for women is very important for both short and long-term health. It also provides desirable changes in a woman's physique which you probably care more about.

The Most Under-Estimated Way to Lose Weight Fast!

If you speak to women about their physical goals the most common response you will get is that they want to lose weight and tone up.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of women who want to lose weight and tone up won't even consider incorporating the most effective principle into their lifestyle in order to get the results they want. Weight training for women is a principle shrouded in mystery and myths and is the most under-estimated way to dramatically change body composition (to one with less fat and more muscle) in a very short period of time. Furthermore, not using this principle when trying to lose weight almost guarantees that the weight you lose will be put straight back on!

Many women avoid incorporating weight training into their lifestyle under the mistaken belief that they will get big or look like a man! Mind you, considering the appearance of many top-level competitive female bodybuilders (most of whom are pharmaceutics-enhanced) it is understandable why they often shy away from weight training.

Despite this, weight training for women is certainly growing in popularity even though the image of women lifting weights still summons fears of losing sex appeal and femininity in many.

Before we examine the benefits weight training can offer women in their quest for achieving a great body, we first need to understand a few basic physiological facts.

- Women produce less testosterone than men. It is especially difficult for women to increase their muscle mass because they do not naturally produce as much testosterone as men. The majority of overly muscular women take anabolic steroids to increase their muscle mass. [NOTE: Anabolic steroids are synthetic derivatives of the male hormone testosterone and they promote a dramatic increase in muscle mass and strength). If you don't take anabolic steroids, it is impossible to look like a man.

- Women have less muscle mass to begin with. Most women have significantly fewer muscle fibres in each muscle group than men, which means their ability to build muscle is reduced. Despite this fact, it doesn't mean that weight training for women isn't beneficial..

- Weight training 'tones' faster. Women who consistently train with weights achieve a 'toned' look to their body very quickly.'Toning up' is a process whereby you lose body fat and gain muscle simultaneously to achieve a 'harder-looking' body.

- Muscles cannot harden up, get flabby or get soft. Muscles can only increase in size (hypertrophy) or decrease in size (atrophy). They cannot actually 'harden up' themselves. The part of the body that is exercised may feel harder simply because the muscles have experienced hypertrophy, and since muscle is a denser tissue than fat, the body part, not the muscle itself feels harder.

- Muscles can't grow indefinitely. The body limits how much muscle it builds because muscle is a very metabolically-active tissue, which means it burns up a lot of energy. Therefore, if you ever experienced a famine, you would perish quickly because your energy stores (fat) would be burnt up. This is an ancient survival mechanism that the human body still carries from our ancestors thousands of years ago when the threat of starvation was a major cause of death.

Plus, more muscle means your body needs more food. People wanting to continually increase their muscle mass, must continually increase their food intake. This is why bodybuilders eat 3-4 times the average person's food intake. Their bodies are like furnaces, constantly burning up energy. If you choose to maintain a moderate food intake, then your muscle size can only increase slightly (if at all). If you don't increase your food intake, then your body will only increase its muscle mass up to a certain point. Through continued weight training you will be able to maintain this amount of muscle and therefore keep your metabolic rate elevated, which will result in more fat being burnt and a more 'toned' body being achieved.

- An increase in muscle must be maintained. If you ever feel that your muscles are getting too big, however unlikely, simply stop training for two weeks and your muscles will shrink back to their original size.

- Muscle cannot turn into fat. You've probably heard the comment,'when you stop training the muscle turns into fat!' This is a popular comment from many well-intentioned but ignorant people. These people usually have very little knowledge of human physiology or weight training and have likely never trained themselves. They are also probably envious of the fact that you are doing something positive for your body and they're not! It is a physiological impossibility to turn muscle tissue into fat tissue. Muscle and fat have totally different chemical compositions. Muscle is made up of protein and water whereas fat is made of triglycerides (fatty acids and glycerol). The two are completely different.

WHY CAN'T YOU JUST DIET AND/ OR PERFORM AEROBIC EXERCISE TO LOSE WEIGHT AND TONE UP?
If you only diet and/or perform aerobic exercise to lose fat, up to half of the weight lost will come from muscle tissue because you're not forcing your body to maintain it, which is what weight training does. Since muscle has an enormous effect on our metabolic rate, a loss of muscle results in a reduction of our metabolic rate, thereby making continual fat-loss very difficult. Without resistance training, there will still be a layer of fat on your body that just won't budge! The metabolism-enhancing effects of weight training cannot be under estimated in dramatically reducing your body fat to levels you never thought possible.

DO YOU HAVE TO LIFT WEIGHTS?

It is not essential to only lift weights in order to gain the benefits. Any form of resistance exercise can provide the same effects. The goal is to simply challenge the muscles to work beyond their normal capacities. A similar effect can also be achieved by using a Swiss ball, rubber bands or by performing body weight exercises like, calisthenics, yoga and pilates. You can even perform a workout using canned food or household furniture! However, the best results come from lifting weights.

BENEFITS OF WEIGHT (RESISTANCE) TRAINING
Weight training will provide you with an enormous number of benefits including:

- Enhanced feminine body shape. The natural female body shape is enhanced by increasing your muscle mass and reducing your fat mass. Furthermore, weight training is the only way to modify your body shape if you desire to do so. Just like an artist, you can use weights to turn a pear-shaped figure into an hour-glass figure.

- Younger-looking body. As we age, we tend to lose muscle and put on body fat. By maintaining our muscle mass as we age we can maintain a younger-looking body.

- Elevated metabolism. As mentioned earlier, muscle is one of the most metabolically-active tissues in the body, which means it burns up the most energy. Therefore, by increasing your muscle mass you can dramatically boost your metabolism.

- Lower level of body fat. Since your metabolism is elevated by increasing your muscle mass, it is much easier to achieve a lower level of body fat.

- Less 'cellulite'.'Cellulite' is actually just normal fat stored above connective tissue that is structured differently. By losing body fat you also lose 'cellulite'.

- Reduced risk of osteoporosis. Weight training not only strengthens your muscles but also strengthens your bones. It has been proven to be far more effective than simply increasing your intake of calcium from food or supplements.

- Improved body functioning. Stronger muscles mean everyday activities become much easier. For example, carrying bags of groceries from the car into the house, putting heavy boxes into an overhead cupboard or spending time in the garden are all tasks that stronger muscles make easier.

- Increased self-esteem. When you look good, you feel great and weight training can certainly provide that benefit. Plus, exercise has been shown to be better at fighting clinical depression than drugs since the body produces natural opiates (endorphins) in response to exercise.

- Reduced risk of heart disease. It is believed that weight training has massaging-effect' on the blood vessels as well as promoting a vasodilating effect (increasing the diameter) on the blood vessels. This may strengthen them and reduce your risk of heart attack.

- Longer life. Since the risk associated with many diseases, including diabetes, is reduced your chances of living a longer is increased dramatically.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NEXT
In order to get the benefits from weight training you only need to train twice a week for 30 minutes each session (minimum). For best results, seek the services of a qualified and experienced personal trainer. They can teach you how to perform the exercises correctly and safely and can help keep you motivated so you achieve the results you want. Plus, they make the workouts much more fun.

It should now be obvious that weight training for women is essential if they want to lose fat and achieve a 'toned' body. Without weights, women will continually struggle to achieve their ideal body. Furthermore, the sooner the myths regarding weight training are dispelled, the sooner women will become aware of the benefits that can be gained by lifting weights and the sooner they will make themselves happier as well as many more men in the world!

Weight Training For Women - Three Things You Should Know

Weight training for women has become more and more popular over the last two decades. But is it really a good idea for women to lift weights? This article explains the issues at hand, and reveals answers that every woman should be aware of before they start a weight lifting program.

Weight Training For Women - Will It Bulk You Up?
Many women worry that strength training with weights will cause them to bulk up. The last thing most women want is to look like a female body builder. Fortunately, studies have shown that's just not the case with most female weight lifters. Despite images you may have seen in bodybuilding magazines, the only way a woman is going to get huge, man-like muscles is with pharmaceutical help. Most women simply do not have enough natural testosterone in their bodies to bulk up by lifting weights.

Is Weight Training More Dangerous for Women?
This is a common question among women who are under the mistaken assumption that their bodies are not designed to lift weights. Nothing could be further from the truth; in fact, women are uniquely designed for load-bearing activities. This is because their bodies are designed to withstand the difficulties of pregnancy and childbirth. So long as you receive proper instruction and use proper technique, there is little risk of hurting yourself weight lifting.

But Why Should I Lift Weights - Isn't Aerobics or Other Cardio Exercise Enough?
In a word, no. Studies have shown that load bearing exercise is one of the best forms of exercise for women, due to the fact that it stimulates the body to increase bone density. As women get older, their risk for osteoporosis increases, so it only makes sense that any form of exercise that stimulates the body to maintain bone density would be beneficial.

Weight Lifting Has Other Benefits for Women
Besides the benefit of stronger bones, weight training for women has also been shown to lower the risk of heart disease and diabetes, two diseases that are a risk for women. And, increased muscle mass means a higher metabolism, meaning that women who lift weights will burn fat and calories more efficiently. Overall, it's obvious that resistance training with weight is a very beneficial activity for women.

Did You Know That Weight Training Speeds Up Your Weight Loss Twice?

Will Women Turn Muscular As A Result Of Weight Training?
I will now make it clear to you that this isn't true. In fact, weight training for women will allow and result the weight loss process to speed up!

Most women have mistakenly taken weight coaching or resistance coaching as a training routine which will later result in the formation of muscles which will make them look manly.

The Benefits Of Weight Training For Women:
Benefit #1 - Boost In Metabolism Rate
The boost in metabolism rate which causes more calories to be burned away every single day, results in a faster weight loss process.

Benefit #2 - Improve Health
Both women and men tend to feel stronger and also have a healthier skeletal muscle.

These training exercises for women also encourages the strengthening of the cardio vascular system. Better yet, it helps strengthen our body's immune system.

Benefit #3 - Build Lean Muscles Which Complements Weight Loss
Weight training for women will build lean muscles. Lean muscles help women avoid osteoporosis. It also helps refrain or slow down the bone loss process which is a result of aging. It also helps women strengthen and rebuild bones.

The Bio-mechanical Systems Of Men And Women
The bio-mechanical systems of both men and women vary. When both do the same exercises, you will notice that women tend to have much less weight loss compared to men. This simply means that women will have to put in more effort to lose weight.

As a way to develop lean muscle, women have to carry out these training exercise for about 45 minutes. Do this at least twice every week.

The Importance Of Proper Relaxation Durations
Practicing proper relaxation durations is a practice that should be adopted to ensure that muscles are allowed to rest and rebuild.

Doing this will allow the muscles to continue burning extra calories and boost your metabolic rate.

Refrain From Injuries
With weight training for women, calorie burning will continue after the completion of an exercise routine. The burning process will last for about 2 to 3 hours.

Before starting out with a exercise routine, it is important to check with your physician. Be sure to carry out the correct exercise routines. This way, you will be able to avoid possible injuries.

Be clear and get someone to coach you so that you're aware of the correct strategies for every exercise routine. This will help you refrain from hurting yourself.

There will probably be some element of stress to the muscles as you attempt to construct lean muscle.

Weight Training For Women Doesn't Have to Be Strenuous

When it comes to weight training for women, it is for muscle toning, rather than bulk training or strength training. Unless you are a bodybuilder, then strength and bulk muscle training is typically not what you want as part of your exercise routine.

Because weight training for women is typically used as part of a weight reduction plan or a toning portion of their flabby muscles after a diet, most women are not using it for strength and bulk. The majority of women are looking for firmer muscles and less flabbiness. Because of this, it is usually part of their exercise routine that can include other things like aerobics, walking, jogging and firming exercise routines.

Weight training for women varies from that of men for men in that not as many sets are included, and neither is a split regimen utilized. Instead, women should include fewer sets and vary exercises to work a variety of muscle groups. In addition, because weight training for women is typically not for strength, lighter weights should be used. These factors differ when it comes to weight training for women versus men.

The thing to consider is that muscle can actually weigh more, but it burns more calories in a resting state, than fat, un-toned muscle does. This is part of the reason that weight training for women is often avoided when they are trying to lose weight. Because toned muscle is actually denser than un-toned muscle, many women shy away from weight training. This is only an initial side effect because toned muscle increases metabolism and burns more calories on a constant basis.

Many women don't always need a weight set or weight lifting bench as bulking up is usually not the goal. Some women opt for ankle weights when walking or wrist weights when doing their normal exercise routines. Others use items you can find around the house as part of their routine. You can use two liter plastic soda bottles with varying levels of water for arm lifts, for example. Women should also use various exercises and weights for muscle toning.

Most women want a full body workout for strength training. It seems that women are more focused on the core abdominal muscle group than men are and they are more concerned with flabby upper arms and thighs, as well. These require some of the same exercises men use, but in lesser weights and fewer repetitions of the same exercises.

The other thing to keep in mind is that weight training exercises should be changed every three to four weeks so that the muscles don't become accustomed to the same exercises and plateau in toning. By changing up your routine, it won't become a matter of adding more weight to get the same results.

Weight training for women can be part of a weight loss routine, and you don't have to worry about bulking up like men, if you pay attention to the most important factors of fewer repetitions, lesser weights, and changing routines to work different muscle groups.

Nothing Will Burn Fat Faster

Weight training for women has grown in popularity over the last twenty years. However many women still avoid training with weights as they fear that they will build a masculine type body but in most cases it would be just the opposite as strength training will help you build a sleek and sexy figure. It is possible for women to develop large muscle mass but it is highly unlikely. One would have to train specifically to build large bulky muscle if that was their end goal.

Weight training for women is becoming more popular because they are beginning to realize that as they age they are constantly losing bone density and weight training helps to strengthen the bones. Another myth concerning women and weight training is that once you hit a certain age it becomes counter productive and somewhat dangerous. However, as I stated that is just a misguided myth because the fact is women can do weight training right up into their eighties. Although one must be sensible about the program they follow and it should always be cleared by your doctor first.

The primary step that one should take before engaging in any new health and fitness plan that includes any type of weight training for women is to visit your doctor and have him take a good look at the program you will be following. I cannot stress enough how crucial it is for you to undergo a complete medical exam as well as a full consultation with your physician before you engage in any new fitness plan.

Once you have the clearance from you doctor the next move is to find a certified and qualified personal trainer as they can design a weight training for women program that will help you achieve your fitness goals much faster and more safely. It is highly recommended that you only follow a strength training regimen that has been designed specifically for your needs by a qualified fitness instructor.

There have been a countless number of studies that have proved that working out with weights is healthy for women. By adding resistance training to your fitness program you will find that losing fat in those hard to lose places will be a thing of the past. As you add more lean muscle to your frame your body turns on the fat burning furnace and keeps it running twenty four hours a day. Aerobic training alone will never give you the lean sexy figure that weight training will. Weight training for women is completely safe and extremely effective and you will see real results faster than you could have imagined.

Weight training for women has additional benefits aside from the advantage of building stronger bones. A fitness program that involves strength training has shown to lower the risk of heart disease substantially, it absolutely reduces the risk of getting diabetes and it lowers the risk of osteoporosis. One very strong benefit to building lean muscle is that it can rid you of cellulite for good.

With all the benefits associated to adding a strength training regimen to your fitness program it would be counter productive not to. You do need to be certain that you follow a well structured plan designed by a qualified trainer because weight training for women is not the same as it would be for men.

The Best Way To Loose Weight And Gain Muscle Tone

Weight training for women, many people may be wondering out what is the meaning of this? Make no mistake, cardiovascular activity is wonderful for the body, but there should be more variety involved in an exercise routine than just walking, jogging, running, or cycling. Weight training for women can also be very beneficial for weight loss because muscle building burns up to nine times more fat than no muscle at all.

For beginners, training with weights can be a hard thing to do. It can be difficult knowing where to start. One thing that is far from the truth is that weight training for women is difficult. The truth is that it can actually be much simpler than walking or running.

You have the ability to transform your problem areas completely when you take up weight lifting. Those body parts that do not seem to budge will definitely change shape, and it doesn't take that long to accomplish. Weight training for women is best done in less than 30 minutes. There is a huge difference between a woman who is training for her health, and a bodybuilder.

A lot of females shy away from the concept of training with weights in fear that they are going to bulk up. But, what is actually going to happen is that they are going to feel much better, and become more attractive. Fat and flab are not attractive in the least bit, and unless someone is aiming for muscle building, there will be no bulkiness, just more tone.

The gym is a perfect place to achieve effective weight training for women. There are even home DVD's available that teach weight training for women. The options are very plentiful. If you are confused, then you might want to consider the advice of a personal trainer. You will be able to discuss your goals, and in turn, will be guided down the right path of how to achieve them.

Weight training for women exercises are similar to those that you might already be familiar with. For arms, there are triceps kickbacks and dumbbell curls. For the legs, there are calve raises and squats. When it comes to the shoulders, chest, and back, there is the shoulder press, chest press, and lat pull down. The abdominal muscles also need to be tightened with crunches. Some gyms also offer a machine that is specifically used to target the abs.

A very common occurrence is when a woman gives birth to a child only to find that her body has completely transformed. Her usual first instinct is to start walking to get rid of the fat. Walking is fantastic for getting rid of excess fat, but when it is all over, there is still flab that needs to be toned. Weight training for women is necessary to tone up of all of that undeveloped muscle.

As you can see, weight training for women is one of the best things that can be done for your health. Aside from walking, weight training for women makes them stronger and more vital. Muscle building is only a small part of the equation. The body grows old, and it needs more than just a brisk walk here and there.
