Ok, so this is going to be an odd post. Only because it's currently January and I am scheduling this to come out around Christmas. If you follow my channel then you have already seen all about this, but I completely forgot to post it for this past Christmas and I was just looking over at my tree and I am totally in love with it! Yes, I still haven't taken down my decorations due to the cold temps outside, ice and snow, and the fact our storage boxes are in the garage somewhere haha! Anyways, this year we decided to do another big tree in our dining/kitchen area and to match the kitchen decor it was all colorful and food/candy themed. Even my dad liked the tree, which is crazy to me.

Moving on...I filmed a haul video showing you guys where I purchased the decor for the tree and then a decorate with me video. I will also link the video of my holiday house tour for you all too!

Gambling and downtown Nashville

Hello again everyone! This weekend was a lot of fun. My husband's work had their Christmas party (yes it was super delayed haha), complete with a casino set up which was pretty neat. When we walked in each employee was given a ticket that was equal to 50,000 to play the tables with and could be split with their date or however. There was a drawing for gifts, and they even had legos for the kids along with a video game truck set up outside! Yes, they went all out. Complete with free food and beer and wine too. The party lasted about three hours so we decided to find something to do afterwards. I made sure to vlog the entire night. The craziness you see if well...just my goofy personality mixed with a few cocktails haha! Seriously though, I am a total weirdo every so often!

DIY Bar Cart from Changing Table

Hello again beauties. Today's post is really a shopping vlog technically! So for the past 3 years I have just been using my old changing table as a little bar cart in my kitchen. Better than spending at least $80 to go and buy one or just letting the table sit around and collect dust. It has actually worked great but I wanted to revamp it in a sense. I am tired of looking at the ugly brown and love the look of the gold bar carts you see everywhere now. Also, this sorta gives it a look of an actual bar cart you would go and purchase too. We had a couple other things that we did this day too, which you will see in the video. I don't think I told you exactly what all we bought for the project in the video, but I can tell you what you will need. The items will be listed just below the video!

1. some wheels (yes the changing table came with them but I never used the original ones and not sure if I still have them or not somewhere)
2. sandpaper
3. gold spray paint
4. and a gloss to go on afterwards

I will most likely be filming the project too so you can see the entire process, but figured I would go ahead and share this vlog with you all too!

Current Hair Routine and Products I Use

Hey everyone! I am back with a new little beauty post for you all. It has been several years since I last made a post on what hair products I am loving so I figured now is just a good of a time as any to share an update.

Over the years I have always gotten so many compliments on my hair.. truthfully that's probably only because of how naturally thick and how much volume it has on its own... not because I am always styling it or anything. It looks like a hot mess when I don't do anything to it! Also, I recently had it all chopped off just barely below my shoulders.. so the pics above are from August 2017.

Let's get in to what I use and tips for keeping my hair healthy too!

1. Right now in my shower I am currently using the Aussie Total Miracle Shampoo and the Herbal Essences Body Envy Conditioner. Aussie has been an amazing product to me over the years and from my understanding use to be sold exclusively in the salons (many many moons ago haha). Herbal Essence hasn't been too bad on my hair either, even though I do try to stick to high end products that can only be found at salons.

2. I went blonde a little over a year ago and let me share my secret weapon for keeping my blonde bright, ashy, and what my stylist also uses to tone my hair in a salon. Yes, that's how amazing this product is! For my purple shampoo I use Pravana and it is seriously amazing. A little bit goes a long way and it truly works miracles. Oh, and I only use this once a week at the most. I leave it in for no more than 5 minutes and rinse. If it leaves a blue/purple hue to your hair just shampoo it and that will go right away! Trust me, the first time I used this I was so use to the products you get at Sally's and it gave my hair that hue, but it wasn't crazy looking or anything. Not going to say I didn't call my stylist right away freaking out though haha!

3. Once I get out of the shower I like to apply a few pumps of the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Hair Serum. Now this isn't a horrible product, but I don't know that I would repurchase it. Honestly I only have it because my husband bought it and I stole it haha! It does a descent job, but doesn't work nearly as well as a high end serum does. Let's just say you get your money's worth and that's a definite plus.

5. After this is all done I brush it out with the Wet Brush that I bought at Sally's. Yes I know, we are suppose to comb it first, then brush it. Let's be real though.. who really has time for all that?

6. The biggest tip I can give for trying to keep your hair healthy is to try to use as little heat as possible and if you can't avoid it always use a heat protectant. Personally, I like the Tresemme one and it's very affordable, and it's comparable to the Chi 44 Iron Guard. Most days I just let my hair air dry which cuts out a ton of heat and then I style it however. With my hair being shorter now, I do find that I am straightening it more or curling it more often than I did before though.

7. Last tip I can give to you all is this.. if you can avoid washing your hair every single day then go for it! It does make a huge difference and saves you time from having to wash and blow dry it every day too. Find you a dry shampoo that works for you and use that in between washes if your hair is looking a little oily. Personal favorite of mine is the Batiste dry shampoo and I use the original scent. It works so well and I find it at the Dollar General sometimes or Walmart (of course it's sold in lots of other stores as well). I have used lots of dry shampoos and out of the drugstore brands this has been my new favorite for about a year now.

So that is everything that I am currently using on my hair. My conditioner is actually about to be out so I will be changing it up (another tip I have is to change up your products every so often). No idea yet what I will try out but suggestions are welcome.

2018 Beauty Trends

Since it has been quite some time since I did a beauty post, and after all this is Foxxy Beauty, I wanted to start this new year off with a new beauty post! I use to do these posts on a regular basis, whether it be new Spring trends in beauty or fashion, or trends going out of style. Point being, these have always seemed to be ones lots of you are interested in, and of course I want to give you guys content that you actually want to read. So let's get started!

First up in the beauty trends for 2018 is thick black eyeliner, and I do mean thick. This was featured on not only the Marc Jacobs runway but others as well. Honestly, this isn't one I am in to. Then again I have said that about other trends in the past and then ended up liking them later on.

Second, the old school lipsticks are coming back in style. Yes, that's right, the bullet is back! I personally am still a huge fan of the liquid lipsticks. My favorite right now is the Stila liquid lipstick in the color Patina.

Next in line we have the glitter trend. Personally, I feel like some form of glitter in makeup has always been a trend, whether it be in the lipgloss, the shadow, or some other form of beauty item. This year though, rhinestones and gems are where it's at! Not going to lie and say that I totally hate this idea either. It actually seems like it could be fun for some occasions and when done just right could be really beautiful.

We can thank Rihanna for this next one. This idea isn't exactly new to me but will be to a lot of you out there. GOLD HIGHLIGHTER! This color is great for those of you with a darker skin tone or undertones. You can find a great one from her own makeup line Fenty Beauty

There are still several other trends to look for like extra glowy skin, metallic lip colors(not a fan of this as of now but like I said before sometimes that changes), thick lashes (which I wasn't aware this was a new trend), and even rounded cat eye makeup (not really a fan of this trend either).

Concert Night Out

I am back! So I believe in my last post I mentioned how we attended a concert this past weekend. Well if not, not I have. We actually had really great seats but the pics made it seem like we were much further away from the stage than we were. Also, if you ever attend a show or anything at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and they offer Lexus Lounge passes for an additional fee, DO NOT pass them up! Highly recommend them. You get unlimited catered food and alcohol and believe me if you plan on eating or purchasing any drinks you get your money back in the passes!

Three popular bands performed that night: Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, and Bullet for My Valentine! All which we love, and were super excited about seeing. We had a great night and stayed at a hotel in downtown since it actually snowed that night and we knew the roads would be bad. Plus, drinking and driving is not cool! I even ran in to some friends while there that were sitting a few rows behind us. Including running in to my sister! Literally, I actually ran in to her and spilled her drink haha! Welcome Back Beauties! Let's Catch Up!

Long time no see.. literally! I didn't realize it had been a year since my last blog post, and I am honestly shocked I went that long without a single post. Life gets busy sometimes though and other things get in the way. So let's catch up shall we? After all we have an entire year to catch up on.

If you have been subscribed to my youtube channel then you should be all caught up since I still upload there on a regular basis. This past year has been one of a kind. Michael is now in 7th grade, Elizabeth is in 1st, and Landon started preschool! We renewed our vows in the most beautiful place possible (video will be linked below), traveled to the Dominican Republic for a honeymoon (links for that too below), Robert started working for a great new company, I am on the lookout for a new career and currently working two jobs, and lots more!

So let's travel back to us RENEWING OUR VOWS! Sounds so crazy to even say honestly. But it was so worth it and it was the most beautiful, and perfect day of my life, after having my babies of course. Here are a few pics from that special day. For anyone wondering where this place it at, it's called Cactus Creek Barn. Google will give you all the info you need. It was totally worth it!

We then headed to the Dominican Republic to celebrate. Oh! This was also during the hurricane that went by while we were there. Yes, we are that crazy!

I uploaded our trip in two separate vlogs. The only downside to our trip was that the hurricane made the water too rough to be able to enjoy the beach or any excursions. So we could only go in the water the first day and a half we were there. Here are a few pics from our trip too.

Robert ended up in a bad car wreck so I forgot all about that post) that included the other big bands Breaking Benjamin and Bullet for My Valentine! Once again we purchased Lexus Lounge passes that for a fee include unlimited alcohol as well as amazing food. This was actually last night so I haven't uploaded that video just yet either.

Decorate My Christmas Tree With Me (Mixed Metals)

Hey everyone! If you have been following me long enough, then you probably know how each year I change up my colors on my tree. Dang you Pinterest for always inspiring me haha! Over the past few years I have become more and more in love with mixing metals, and especially rose gold (seriously, you should see my jewelry). So this year I decided to do a mixed metals theme, which I have never done before. If you wanna see where I got all my decor from I filmed a haul video, that I will link below for you guys as well. Also, after filming this video I decided to move some of my silver around so the gold and other colors weren't over powering it all. Now you can see the silver better!

Mexico with my Hubby! Plus a Room Tour!

So as I was doing some updating on here, I realized I never shared my Mexico video with all of you! In May Rob and I took a trip to Mexico together and fell in love all over again... literally! It was the most relaxing and beautiful trip. We also loved our resort and the suite we had. As soon as we got back we were already talking about going again! My birthday was right before we left, so Rob got me a GoPro which came in handy snorkeling, and made it easier to film everything. Here is our Mexico trip!

Blonde Hair on Fleek

I started slowly going blonde back in March or April of this year. I even did a little series on it, well basically little video updates on my youtube channel over the last few months. Anyways, I went even more blonde a few weeks ago! I thought I would share my most recent update with you guys, since it has been a while since I updated anything on here.

Disney World 2016 vlogs and pictures!!

Hey there everyone! Long time no see! I just go back from Disney World late Thursday night and I filmed each day I was there too!! We actually went to three parks this day. After Hollywood studios we hopped over to Magic Kingdom for a couple more rides and ate dinner! I didn't film anything else because my phone died though.

I hope you all enjoyed this peek in to our Disney World trip! We all had fun and I will for sure cherish these memories with my kids forever! I would love to go back in a year or maybe a little bit longer, so that all of my kids are big enough for all the rides. Magic Kingdom was definitely my favorite park and my two youngest! My oldest liked a few of the rides at Hollywood Studios and Epcot better though... There was still so so much that we didn't do or see, so spending a 2-3 days at each park would be so easy to do. We also didn't make it to Animal Kingdom at all unfortunately, we were going to go our third day but the weather just didn't permit!

What I got my kids for Easter!!

If you read my last post you know I just simply forgot to share this vlog with all of you. It went up a day or two before Easter, and my kids ended up LOVING their baskets this year! I am so happy I decided to film what all I got so I can always remember them haha! The baskets themselves were my favorite part of the entire gift. I also did some filming on Easter that morning and throughout the day, but my laptop hasn't been accepting my files!

Cruising the Caribbean!!

Hey everyone! I started posting videos again, and I can't believe I forgot to post anything about it! Recently I took a cruise with my mom and her best friend and us girls had a blast... I filmed as much as I could just so I could make this video for you all. We headed to Puerto Rico to board our ship, and then we were off! Our cruise was for a week and here is a little video I put together of all the places we were able to visit.

Starting Vlogs? Delaying beauty videos? HELP ME PLEASE!!

So I really need some opinions! I absolutely LOVE doing youtube videos as I am sure I have mentioned many times before... Unfortunately, I no longer really have a decent area to be able to film like I did at my last place and I am also working two different jobs now (so I am busy busy lol). What I am getting at is that I also really enjoy vlogging, and that's something I can do whenever and wherever. Definitely not as formal as tutorials haha!

Do you guys think it would be cool for me to start doing more videos of my daily life at least until we move? Which will probably be around August. I do still plan on throwing in a beauty or fashion video if I get the opportunity though. It's just been killing me not making any videos at all for the most part. I'm sure you have all noticed a huge drop in the amount of videos I have posted for he last 8 months or so! If I am doing vlogs I can get so many more videos in... or at least get back to one per week!!

Bloomin' Love!!

Recently I was introduced to BloomNation and their campaign Bloomin' Love which inspired me to make this post on how I show my love all year round to not only my hubby but my kids too! If you have never heard of them they are a flower delivery company for your local florists, making it super easy to order flowers online!

With all that being said, if you have followed my blog at all over the last 5 years, then I am sure you know that Valentine's Day isn't just another holiday to me. It's also my wedding anniversary! Since it is my anniversary, I do feel like it often gets a little bit overlooked. Now that doesn't mean that my husband and I don't celebrate our anniversary, but it does mean that we don't get two separate occasions. With that being said, it's so important to continuously show your loved ones how much you do love them.

Still to this day we both never fail to get an anniversary card and Valentine's card for each other every year. It's always been something we've done. What I love the most is that we both just did it and it was never discussed. So we have kept up the tradition each year. We get a funny Valentine card and a more serious anniversary card! P.S. Mine this year is HILARIOUS haha!!

I love that my husband knows me well enough that this simple little gesture made my day. He left me a sweet card, flowers, and coffee (it's my addiction haha) on my car while I was inside work. Sometimes it's just the simple things that will mean the most! Whether it's surprising me with coffee or me randomly bringing him home some unexpected yummy food from one of the two restaurants I work at.

It's so important to give your kids that special time too and it doesn't always have to be done with gifts. With three kids, it's not always practical nor easy to get one on one time at all times, but there are other things you can do just for them solely! This pic was taken tonight actually. We wanted to do something just for the kids, so we took them to the Rainforest Cafe. (it's a rainforest themed restaurant where the animals move and make noises) They all enjoyed it and then each got a gift from the gift shop afterwards! I even got one because they had Hello Kitty themed jungle animals haha!

On those rare opportunities that you can get one on one time with your kids jump at it! We took our oldest to his first football game for his birthday this year. It was just the three of us.

Getting in date nights isn't always easy.. or being able to afford a night out all the time. One thing I really enjoy doing with my hubby is having a little game night. This particular one was at a friend's house (so more like a double date). I made some margaritas for us, because I bartend too and they are yummy haha, and we had a blast playing the pie face game!

Don't get me wrong, getting in that one on one time away from the kids and house is definitely necessary too. Sometimes you just have to find a cheaper alternative and work with what you get.

What are some ways all of you show your loved ones that you care? I would love other ideas for DIY date nights or things to do with the kiddos!!

County Fair 2015 plus outfit details

About a month ago we attended our county fair.. One of my good friends and her daughter joined us since she was there for the pageant. We went on the perfect night when there were no lines and the kids rode almost all the rides for free! I filmed a couple little scenes and took lots of pictures.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Baby Shower!

On the 17th I threw a baby shower for my sister. She is finally having a little boy, Yay!!! I wanted her theme to feel somewhat elegant so I went with Breakfast at Tiffany's. Here are a few pics of how the special day went...

My favorite picture from the day is actually the one above haha! No filter or anything.

I took a vase that I had and stuffed it with Tiffany blue streamer and put some fake flowers down in it for the decoration for the food table. For the menu cards I made them on pic monkey and printed them off through Wal-Mart.com. We had sausage balls, assorted muffins, doughnuts, and scrambled eggs on the food table.

I set up a yogurt bar where you could create your own parfait! I sliced up bananas, and strawberries, and had greek yogurt (the walmart brand which is AMAZING), granola, and blueberries! This was a huge hit!

I couldn't help but take a pic of mine lol!

The table decor was very simple, and I just left the two vases of flowers I already had on my dining table haha! I already had some plastic (but real looking) plates with silver trim, that were leftover from Elizabeth's Cinderella party. Of course we also had to have the Tiffany blue forks and napkins to go with the theme of the shower.

There was also a drink station that I had put together on the bar cart, I am not sure where the pic went though. The glasses we used were the champagne ones from the dollar tree. Again, to feel fancy haha!

This awesome diaper cake became the decor for all of our group pictures! I love that Catelin's friend made it to match the colors. I am not sure if that was intentional or not though.

We also dressed to go with the entire theme! Little black dresses and pearls!

Natural Glow on the Go!

For me, keeping my skin healthy and glowing has grown to be even more important to me the older I have gotten. If you have been reading my blog or watching my videos over the last few years, then you also know that I do tend to have very dry skin and I do suffer from occasional breakouts, even though I am getting close to 30. SSShhhh! Don't tell anyone about that last part. With that being said, I wanna share with all of you how I help maintain any sort of glow amid my hectic life. Recently I discovered a new line of beauty products, Glossier, that actually inspired me to write this post.

My first tip is to ALWAYS remove your makeup at the end of the day. No matter how late it may be. Trust me when I say your skin will thank you for it later. My favorite product for removing my makeup when I am not only on the go, but at home as well, are the Neutrogena wipes.

They also come in a travel size pack that you can keep in your purse. Not only do they provide my skin with just the right amount of moisture afterwards, but they also work really well and they never break me out!

Now don't forget to actually wash your face... I tend to rotate out between my St. Ives Apricot Scrub and I keep it old school with Noxzema too! Both of these can usually be found in travel sizes too, which is great if you travel a lot for work, or just in general.

Lastly, I have to moisturize my face every single day before applying any sort of makeup. Lucky for this post, what I use also comes in... you guessed it, travel size! My go to for years now is the Pond's Dry Skin cream. If you follow my blog then you have seen me bring this up already many times over the last few years. It is by far the best moisturizer I have found for my skin, and it's not too greasy either!

If you guys wanna know how I keep a glow once my makeup has been applied let me know! For now though, I wanna know how do all of you maintain a glow on the go?!

OOTD: Summer Cookout!

First off, let me start off by apologizing for being so absent the past few months. I have tried to upload as often as I can. Normally I will pre film videos so I have several to upload every month. Recently, I went back to work full time, which has definitely put a damper on how often I am available to film. I did film a sit down, formal video, telling you guys all that has been going on and updating you on my channel and life since moving a few months ago. Unfortunately though, I have also had horrible luck lately with electronics, and iPhoto stopped letting me import anything! As of right now though I have fixed the issue and have some new videos to go up.... YAY haha!!!

So with all that being said, here is my first video for you guys. It's a quick outfit of the day for a summer or end of summer cookout!

Camping, Kayaking, and the 4th of July Vlog!

Helllooooo everyone! I know it's been ages since my last post.. here is a super quick little update. I basically have just been working 6 days a week for the past almost 4 months since being back in TN lol! I know I have been slacking when it comes to my posts and videos, and to be totally honest I just discovered last week that I have internet at my new house haha! With that being sad I upload a new video early this morning so here it is!! Over the 4th of July weekend the hubby and I, along with several friends, went camping and kayaking and then spent Sunday with friends and family! (keep in mind it stormed the night of the 4th so we had no choice but to shoot off our fireworks the next night)

P.S. We even kayaked in the pouring down rain... twice haha!!

A quick little update: Yes, we are finally moved in to our new house, which is where I filmed this at.. However, I haven't had cable or internet installed yet (because I keep forgetting to call haha), so this was uploaded from my mom's house!! As soon as I have internet I will be back to blogging and videos MUCH more often!!
