Pantene sent me this information as a Halloween hair story. But honestly I would do "B" hair all year round if it was this long.

Blair Waldorf (“B”) from Gossip Girl

Start by using the Pantene Pro-V Texture Shampoo and Conditioner to prepare hair for a healthy, textured look
Apply Pantene Pro-V Volume Root Lifter Gel to damp hair from root to tip
Blow-dry hair periodically flipping hair upside down to create maximum fullness at the crown
Wrap large sections of hair around a 1-inch barrel curling iron starting at least 4” from scalp
Remove iron and quickly twist hot section pulling it into a rope-like shape until it cools – this will transform curls into waves
Brush hair out and run fingers through hair to break up the curls for a tousled look
Give hair added texture by adding some small braids and twists throughout hair
Complete the look with a headband, placing it 1-inch away from your hairline

Football & Lingerie

The Lingerie Football League (LFL) officially kicked off on October 9th.

It launched five years ago as the gentleman's alternative to the Super Bowl halftime show, the Lingerie Bowl is finally, at long last, turning into an official league, complete with 10 teams.

The LFL looks like a '70s roller derby, mixed with the pageantry of the Victoria's Secret runway show and the drama of Rock of Love. Basically, the ladies of the LFL engage in weekly bouts of full-contact, seven-on-seven gridiron football—no field goals, no punts, one linewoman, all action—clad in little more than helmets, shoulder pads and matching undergarments deemed "jerseys."

Now that Fall, my favorite season of the year is here I'm excited about wearing blazers. I'm even more excited about wearing my blazers with leggings and still looking stylish and comfortable on (let's face it!! ;) a show string budget. Here are the set rules, set by Lucky Mag, my style bible.

putting it together:

A structured blazer—shrunken enough to keep the overall silhouette streamlined—elevates typically casual legwear to a whole new level of sophistication.

We like full-length (as opposed to cropped) leggings in matte black to give the effect of a skinny pant in an even sexier, more curve-hugging way.

To bridge the gap between the lean bottom and the angular top, layer on looser pieces, like a lightweight sweater or silky shirt. They should be long enough to fall prettily over the waistband and give a little coverage to your waist and hips.

High-heeled ankle boots complement the look's tough-chic blend.

In my magazines reading I've learned that the skin underneath your eyes is very thin and delicate and therefore the elements of the earth like the sun will affect the way this area darkens with time. Both Realness of Concealness (used at home) and Yves St. Laurent Touche Eclat (more convenient for my purse) are my favorite to take care of these under eye circles. Apply the product LIGHTLY all around your eye with your ring finger.

I love to have a rosy cheeks that look like they have just been pinched or sunkissed. The tarte cheek stain stays at home and the Clinique Bronzer comes with me since it's smaller to carry. To use blush on your cheeks first smile and apply the product on the apple of your cheeks.

This eye shadow is very subtle and just gives me a dreamy look that I love to have. It open up my eyes and makes me look awake and alive.

The first time my friend Angela told me to wear blue mascara I thought that,

#1. Angela was crazy!

.....OR.....

#2. She was trying to make me look like my aunt Mercedes, the one that wears waaaayyy too much make-up and clumps her mascara on in an effort to make her eye lashes look really thick. She always used blue mascara. Don't get me wrong I love Tia Mercedes, but sometimes it's too much.

But nope, I was totally wrong, this blue mascara gives me the extra ummphh that I need and want and it doesn't look exactly blue. You have to try to see, just trust me!!

I also love Clinique's Naturally Glossy Mascara, it's light and just like advertised it looks utterly natural.

To finish my look I use ChapStick and I'm out the door.

I might sound like alot of work but it's really quick and easy.

Poppy makes me Happy

I recently paid a visit to the Coach store at Columbus Circle to see what all the Poppy was about.

... And...

I have to say that I was impressed. It's colorful, fun, bright, uplifting, light, and priced right. I couldn't ask for more and I'm being real honest.

For some time now Coach has provided a great handbag and accessories collection. However, the pricing was really off ($700 plus usd) with what Coach represents for most people in America, which is affordable luxury with supreme quality and durability.

The Poppy collection has brought Coach to a better base price of around $100 (for accessories) to $300 (for handbags).

The colors work great for Summer. What do you guys think?

Cartier getting creative

The Marcello de Cartier handbag is something that I would describe as purely creative and also as something that I would never actually use.

However, I will tell you what I do appreciate about this handbag, and about fashion as art. Since I consider myself to be of extreme creative nature and I see beauty in everything around me and more often than not it inspires me, I also love the fact that at any moment an idea will pop up into my head and regardless of it being "good" or not, it's my idea and I'll experience extreme satisfaction in developing this idea from this crazy inspiration.

This is why I would love to say that I know EXACTLY where the inspiration for this Cartier handbag came from. When the creative folks at Cartier thought up this handbag they must have been at the actual Congo or at the Bronx Zoo at the Congo exhibit observing the Colobus monkey. The Colobus Monkey is an exotic looking animal; they have beautiful black fur contrasting with their long white mantle, whiskers and beard around the face and the bushy white tail.

The first thing that I thought of when I saw the Cartier de Marcello was ...this looks like the Colobus Monkey...

Jimmy Choo & H&M

Jimmy Choo pairing up with H&M....This is such music to my ears. I'm so utterly obsessed with shoes that sometimes I wanna wear them everywhere, including to the beach because one never knows where you'll end up after the beach. Por ejemplo, I went to the beach with my friend's birthday and after the beach we ended up at the Boat Basin, hence, HEELS NEEDED!!

I had my beach hair, a beach tan, my beach dress, AND no heels!!

Back on the subject though, this marriage between H&M and Jimmy Choo comes at a great time, a time of economic hardship where everyone is looking for a deal. I just hope that by November 14th they manufacture enough of these shoes to supply the demand that both of the retailers have created. It's more than wanted, it's necessary!!

I do have reservations about Jimmy Choo and H&M joining forces, will quality be compromised? What kind of materials will they use? Will this material cut into my feet to the point where I don't wear them and they end up in my closet as a permanent fixture?

hmmm....I wonder...

However, seeing that Fergie looks comfortable in them gives me hope.

I had one main observation while I was in España... nothing genius. It was just a general observation of a trend. White jeans. They were everywhere. Curious, I asked Nath about it, but she only noticed it herself after I pointed it out. By dinner time on my second day in Spain in became my mission to take pictures of white jeans to show everyone how popular they are in Spain.

Based on this trend observation 1 normal thing happened and something I never considered also happened.

1. I HAD to try on a pair of white jeans and of course ended up buying a pair.

2. The June 2009 Lucky magazine posted a white jeans trend on their monthly article I spy, which only led me to kick myself in the behind for not posting this sooner.

The Urban Sailor

In my hangings around New York City I found an urban sailor. I never thought that a sailor outfit could look any different than what we see during fleet week.But, It can definitely be done. The urban sailor wore a seersucker trouser with a vintage hat that projects a chill, nonchalant, relaxed aura that clearly states it's not too hot for a hat today. He paired it up with a white cotton simple v-neck (reminiscent of Michael Jackson type) t-shirts topped off with what in my opinion are "fly" kicks.

What worked for the urban sailor is that he took a slight risk when he decided to fold up his trouser cuff mainly because he appears extremely confident with what he's wearing and more importantly in his own skin.

P.S. Can you tell I have a shoe fetish?

The Philly Roots Picnic

On a beautiful day like June 6th, 2009 on Penns Landing in Philadelphia I experienced an awesome vibe. It was The 2nd Annual Roots Picnic. Through the lens I had the opportunity to realize that Philadelphia is a real artsy town and I really love it. Below is a glimpse of the images that my fashion eye caught.

The TOP 3 Outfits in order of importance.... Start checking out the footwear, seriously!

They looked sexy, cute, and edgy while still very comfortable.

This is couple looked eclectic and fun. Honestly, they look like people that I would love to party with!!

Clueless in Penns Landing, yet with the right amount of unique.

Kicks were the staple... The funkier the kooler, the funkier the better, and the more I looked the more impressed I was.

ME, I just wore my limited edition Nike dunks, that I bought last Summer.

And in this grass-less picnic, sneakers were the better option, because if you wore sandals you could risk having your feet looking like this. What would Tory Burch say??

The men had their uniforms, cargo shorts (preferably army fatigue cargo shorts), tees, and kicks.

But, till this day I am asking myself why does a young, female, sexy, beautiful, and talented artist like Santigold look like she's wearing a onesie?

I'm here to say (and I'm talking directly to Santigold), I get it Santigold. I get you. I know you are different and you are unique. I can hear it in your music. We need to have that translate into your wardrobe so that it matches your presence.

I have to say it. In this economy I am not shopping for anything. My thinking process goes a bit like this. "Enid, you have alot of stuff, you don't have space for all your stuff, save that money for some other stuff..." However, I have one item in my heart and mind that I can not shake out.

It is a shoe from NINE WEST, Jezebelle. The cost of the shoe is $129.00, which is a bit expensive for a NINE WEST shoe, if you ask me. Therefore, I have been waiting for the price to drop for a month now with no avail.

It comes in other colors and in suede. I'm in love with the metallic. I envision these shoes with white capri pants to wear this summer.

AHHH!! Trust me, this lust will one day turn into love and the shoes will be mine.

The Matadores have very impressive posture but that is the only thing I admired.

That Bull has now gone to heaven. I'm not even trying to be funny about this.

Overall, Spain was more impressive and memorable that I had ever expected. Spain was exactly what I needed and it happened exactly when I needed it.

Målaga May 16th

Fuimos al Jardin Botanico y esperabamos muchas flores. We went to the Botanical Garden of Målaga expecting to see many beautiful flowers.

We found a lake.

A waterfall (una cascada)

Una mansion muy linda en la cima del Jardin. A beautiful mansion at the top of the Botanical Garden.

We found great views, una vista maravillosa.

We found these off the exit trail.

and... We found the entrance wall covered in flowers.

Ham legs are very famous in Spain. I have never ever seen this stuff.

During the evening, Nathalie and I went for very relaxing Baños Arabes.
