Then came the day that Mum and Dad put me in the car and took me for a drive. I didn't like the car ride much - there were noisy trucks and buses going past. Then we stopped and Mum and Dad took me out of the car. We were in front of a building. I didn't want to go inside. I don't know why. I just didn't like the smells that were coming from the place. But Mum and Dad forced me to go in. They said it was a doctor's place. I didn't know what a doctor was, but I didn't want to go inside.

Anyway when I got inside I had to get put on a machine to get weighed. That wasn't too bad. I just had to stand still for a minute. Then I had to go into this little room. Mum and Dad picked me up and put me on a high cold table. I didn't like that and tried to jump off. Then this lady shoved a needle into me and I cried and cried and tried to get away from her. She gave me some treats which were nice. I ate them all and didn't realise that she had given me another needle in the meantime. I didn't feel it at all. She told my Mum and Dad that I was very healthy. Then she gave Mum some paperwork. I was lifted back off the table and cuddled into my Mum. I wanted to go home.

We walked back to the front counter, where Dad bought me some tablets for fleas - whatever they are. Apparently the lady said I had some. Apparently that is not good and I have to get rid of them. So now once a month, I have to have a tablet. It doesn't taste too bad though, so I really don't mind. Dad said I was a good girl as I ate the tablet straight down.

Before we left the doctor's, a man came out and called me over. He gave me a huge pat and cuddle. He was nice. He didn't stick a needle into me or anything. Then we got back into the car and drove home. I was very sleepy on the way home - I slept most of the way. When we got home, I drank a lot of water and then went to sleep.

I never want to go back to the doctors again though, and I will be very wary when Mum and Dad want me to to in the car again.

Puppy playing in water

I love playing in water. Mum and Dad gave me a plastic water dish. I tipped it up and played in the water. But then I had no water to drink. So Mum and Dad gave me a cast iron dish. I can't tip this one. It's too heavy for me to lift so I now have water whenever I want. I love putting my feet in the water dish. The water squelches up between my toes and it tickles. But then Mum gets mad because I go and jump on the lounge chair.

I have a plastic water dish upstairs though. One day I forgot, and tipped up the water dish. Water went everywhere. Oh it was so much fun running through the water and sliding on the kitchen floor. Mum and Dad put me outside though while they cleaned it up. I sat outside and watched them clean it up. I cried and cried but Mum said I wasn't coming back in until all the water was all cleaned up. I didn't like being outside on my own. I was only outside for a few minutes, but I hated it. I wanted to come back inside. So I learnt not to do that again.
