as i walked home from work yesterday, i saw a grown man carrying a bright red lunch box.

it looked like a lunch box he used when he was in elementary school.
it was kinda awesome...and he seemed really proud to be carrying it.

it made me smile...

it also made me smile that marah got the job!!

im so proud of my little m!

today i am inspired to write about...my lunch!
salads can be so boring sometimes so every so often i like to spruce things up a bit...

today i am having a simple salad of:

chopped romaine lettuce (about one small head)

finely chopped cucumber (1/2-3/4 of a large cucumber)

(*keep the skin on the cucumber for extra fiber!*)

about 1/4 cup of quinoa (cooked)

about 2 tablespoons of tzatziki (store bought)

a spoonful of organic hemp seeds (optional - for extra protein)

dried cranberries (to taste)

mix all ingredients in a bowl, sprinkle some sea salt on top and enjoy!

this salad might seem a little weird at first, but i made it by mistake for dinner one night (i like to throw random things in my salad) and it happens to be delicious!

i would like to wish my little M O good luck on her first real job interview today.

kick some ass M!!

you're going to do great!

today is a pretty special day here on "inspired by...".

a guest blogger will be taking over for the day and she just happens to be one of the coolest chicks i know (she might get it from her sister, christina). i am very excited to have her and see what inspires her to blog today.

so ladies and gentlemen...without further ado, i give you my sister marah!

Hello world! So i recently just moved back home after graduating college and I am faced with the awful task of organizing my life. So long story short, today I suppose I am inspired by organization! While driving the 4+ hours home the other night I literally thought I was going to die. My little Jeep Liberty was busting at the seams because I shoved, squeezed, and meticulously placed every remotely valuable item I owned into my car.

Being a careful driver, I attempted to leave a little free space in the back window so i could actually see what was happening around me...that definitely did not happen. I also felt like I had a passenger in the car with me...the contents of my front seat kept toppling over onto me while i gripped the wheel maneuvering through traffic. Oh, and did I mention it rained, lightninged and often POURED the whole way?? Yeah...good times.

unpacking/unloading/ welcome back to

Plant City attire...

Ok so so here are just some pics of the mess that my car was. When I took these pics, I had already removed 2 suitcases and just about all my hanging clothes. I hope you sympathize with me...

View From the back of the car. I had to literally shut my clothes in the door.	My poor clothes...

MY LIFE IS A MESS!!!!

The view from the front of the car. How I didn't get pulled over is beyond me!

Ok so I hope you enjoyed the pics and are glad it is me doing all this moving, rearranging and organizing, and NOT you! The one bright side to uprooting your whole life and everything you own is that you kind of get to start fresh and de-clutter your life. I am feeling liberated my not hesitating to just throw away crap I know i will never think twice about. Hopefully I can keep you posted on my progress!

Thanks X! <3

the other day, one of my glasses from my favorite store in manhattan broke (no picture because mr. Z likes to help me get over my need to keep everything so...he threw it way).
i was really upset that it broke so i started whining like a baby to mr. Z. he thought i was being ridiculous because "you never even use that glass".
"whatever mr. Z! i still loved that glass! in fact, i was just about to use it!" i said in the brattiest voice possible. and i continued to whine and complain.

the next night when i got home from work, there was a new glass on the counter...
"since your glass broke yesterday, i went and got you a new one."

i love this glass even more than the one that broke.
...and i love mr. Z

i dont think i appreciate the city as much as i should...

i need to start noticing my surroundings more and take more pictures of this amazing city. i think i will and i will be sure to post them for you to see...stay tuned :)

in an attempt to make our lives a little less routine and little more exciting, the boyfriend (who i will refer to as "mr. Z" through out this blog) and i decided to go to the movies last night. movies on a tuesday night is random and exciting, right?

after hearing great reviews about the movie "inception", mr. Z and i decided to use our free movie passes to see it.
well i regretted that decision about 15 minutes into the movie. wayyyy too confusing for my taste, but it did get me thinking about dreams and how much time i waste dreaming about the things i want to do/be in life.

so as i sat in the very dirty and extremely uncomfortable seat trying to zone out the movie, i started to think about my dreams/goals for myself and i came up with this list:

i want to live in a place where i can walk out of my front door and see mountains and beautiful scenery
i want to be more creative
i want to have a job that i actually like
someday i want to have a kid (maybe more than one...gotta talk to mr. Z about that)
i want to be more stylish
i want to be ~~happy~~ comfortable with my body
i do not want to stress out about not having money
i want to own a house so that i can decorate however i want to and play my music as loud as i want to

while laying in bed last night (after boring mr. Z with every little detail of the above list), i asked him, "so...what are your dreams/goals for the next 5 years?"
to that mr. Z answers, "havent i already answered that before?"
and to that, i go to sleep...i think i talk too much.
